20 Best Weighted Blanket Cooling (2022 Updated)

I bought the blankets for my 3 year old granddaughter and my 4 year old grandson. They both are using them, but they haven’t really solved their sleeping issues. My granddaughter struggles every night with relaxing and going to sleep quickly, sometimes it takes her an hour even after quiet bedtime routine, reading two books and singing to her.

She still tosses, turns and fidgets before finally falling asleep, that hasn’t changed since using the weighted blanket. My grandson, has difficultly staying asleep and wakes several times a night. The hope was that the blanket would help him stay asleep and not get up and down all night.

That hasn’t stopped as I had hoped. But their moms want to keep trying. So we will see. Both parents have mentioned that they blankets make the kids very warm, and do they come with light fabrics?.

It’s been too hot here for me to try the weighted blanket as soon as I bought it. Now, however, it’s been cool enough at night for a number of nights so I can give a proper review. I have type 1 autism.

I bought the 20lb adult weighted blanket basically out of desperation – I’ve had terrible sleep all my adult life starting in my mid teens (I’m over 50 now). When I get woken up (say for a bathroom visit, or a household noise), especially as I got over 50 it meant that I was up for the rest of the night.

Far too many nights where I had 1. 5 to 4. 5 hours sleep at best. Then factor in periodic insomnia and I’ve felt tired to utterly exhausted for most of my waking life as an adult with it getting worse as I get older.

Now that it’s cooler and I’ve been able to use the weighted blanket all night I have to say it’s been wonderful. I particularly love the feel of it across my shoulders and tucked all around my torso.

It’s a very calming, relaxing, and comforting feeling. Instead of taking 1-3 hours to get to sleep every night, it’s now taking. 5 to 1 hour to get to sleep. When I wake up (or get woken up), I’m awake for 5-20 minutes rather than for the rest of the night.

I have a fitness watch that tracks sleep, so I’m pretty sure on the change in times for these. 🙂 With the weighted blanket I can get up multiple times a night and still get back to sleep after I lie down again.

I haven’t yet gone through an insomnia period with it, so I don’t know yet if it’ll help with that. But even if it doesn’t, being able to get decent sleep most nights has made an incredible difference in just the week I’ve been able to use the blanket all night.

I’m also impressed by the construction of the blanket and cover, particularly the little bags of glass beads inside the sewn off squares of the blanket to keep the weights in the right areas, and the ties that attach the weighted blanket inside the cover on all edges.

I am satisfied with the blanket, which is an improvement over the less expensive one I have been using. The weight stays distributed evenly, and it is more flexible. I believe my sleep has improved, and my spouse concurs.

The cover, while pleasantly soft, is also somewhat slippery. It has a tendency to slide off of the bed if not positioned carefully. The ties that secure the blanket to the cover are soft but satiny, so they come loose easily unless you tie true knots.

This make it difficult to remove for cleaning. For perspective, I am an adult Aspie assessing this blanket as a direct user of the product.

First, let me say that 3 weeks ago, I had no idea what a duvet cover was. Then someone gifted me with one for my comforter and I had no idea that comforters needed to be covered. Now, not only do I know that “duvet cover” is just a fancy term for “blanket cover,” I also know how to put one on a blanket! I love this cover and the weighted Luna blanket that it covers.

both were housewarming gifts from friends who chipped in. The cover is very soft and, while I have the dark grey, there are a variety of colors and patterns to choose from. I’m eyeing a couple already, just so I can change them out when I’m in a different mood.

Variety is nice! I will tell you that – if you are like me, an unexperienced duvet cover kind of person – do yourself a favor and do NOT ignore the little loops on the blanket and the ties on the blanket cover.

They are there for a reason, to keep the blanket from shifting around inside the blanket cover. Do a YouTube search for “easiest way to put on a duvet cover” – trust me on this. Look for the one that has you turn the blanket cover inside out – that’s when you’ll want to anchor the blanket to the duvet cover with the loops and ties – and then roll it up like a burrito.

It is by far the easiest way to put the cover on. so simple. You’re welcome. (Yes, you’ll be thanking me. ) The cover is just so comfortable, and protects the blanket. keeps me from having to launder the blanket as often.

I mentioned that the cover and the blanket were gifts. So let me boil it down to this. Bottom line: I would have gladly spent my own money on this cover, and I know I’ll be buying other covers in the future.

It is perfect for my Luna weighted blanket.

My son asked for a weighted blanket for Christmas, it was the only thing he wanted after hearing it could help with anxiety. I researched for hours, pouring over different articles for ‘the best weighted blankets’ and one had the Luna Weighted blanket as most recommended, so I went directly to their website to order.

Not only could the blanket help my son rest better, and arrive before Christmas, but Luna also supports mental health awareness! That was HUGE for me as a consumer. As soon as he unwrapped it, we inspected it quite closely.

We loved that it came with both a winter and summer cover for the blanket. The winter cover was on the blanket and is super soft and really very welcoming. He said the soft material made him want to get into bed and go to sleep! We unzipped the cover to see that the blanket was sewn in about 4” square pockets and the stitching was totally consistent and seems very high quality.

The beads in the pockets were almost untraceable and we were surprised that the weight was totally even, over the entire blanket. The internal ties attach the blanket to the cover snugly and it holds it shape without any shifting.

My son has told me after almost a week of use, his rest is more sound and he’s not waking up as often during the night. The Luna Weighted Blanket is a quality product and after looking at so many knock-offs on the big online retailer, I was totally satisfied with my purchase directly with Luna and have plans to buy two more for the rest of the family.

My fiance and I have been looking for a weighted blanket for our bed for a while. Our main concern was that we are both hot sleepers, so reading reviews of other blankets, we were hesitant to spend the $200+ for a weighted blanket.

But then we found this Luna bamboo weighted blanket. Not only is it cooling, but the price point is unlike any other weighted blanket brand. This blanket has been LIFE CHANGING for the way my fiance sleeps.

I’m the type of person who can sleep anywhere at anytime – my fiance is the opposite. He struggles to stay asleep throughout the night and go back to sleep if he wakes up at 4/5 am. He tosses and turns quite a bit and sometimes wakes me up with his moving around.

With this weighted blanket, he has been able to sleep in until 9/10 am on the weekends, which has been amazing! I have even noticed that he squirms less, which ultimately makes my sleep better too! We have been texting our family & friends about this blanket and telling everyone they need to get one.

There is an immediate calming effect after you snuggle under the weight of the blanket. We live in New England, so we put it on top of our duvet comforter and we don’t get hot during the night. We simply sleep like babies.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone who struggles to stay asleep or back to sleep. We are considering another smaller one for our couch since I am a constant napper :).

When in the market for looking for my first ever weighted blanket I came across Luxome and seen all the great reviews. Like with any big purchase, I did my research and even found a few YouTube videos of reviews and everything seemed great.

I got excited and ordered the large 18 pound blanket to realize it just didn’t seem heavy enough for me. ( I am a 6’4 220 lb male ). Luckily Luxome offers exchanges and were quick and efficient with sending me a new 30 lb blanket in which I was extremely excited about! When I first got the new blanket I was extremely happy with the initial quality of the blanket.

the minky feel was what I expected and the weight felt great. Now you’re probably wondering why I gave this review such a low score and its because all the great things listed above didn’t last really all that long.

Ive had my blanket for about a week now and i’m already finding huge clumps of beads located in different areas of the blanket constantly making me flatten out my blanket and attempt to even the weight out which can get super annoying when you want to sleep but the parts of the blanket that you want to feel the pressure pushing down on you aren’t even heavy yet other areas are super heavy.

The inner side of the blanket does stay cool as advertised yet it feels like its not completely attached to the weighted blanket in the sense that some areas it feels very loose while other areas it feels just fine and I tend to find that feeling annoying.

When purchasing this product (not cheap at all may I add at the price point of $240 ON SALE) I didn’t expect to have to put much effort into having the same experience every night. constantly having to flatten out my sheets and push clumps of beads around just wasn’t what I was looking for and will be looking into other brands if I plan to continue using weighted blankets.

I’ve spent decades searching for the right sleep “stuff. ” Every combination of pillow, sheet, comforter, duvet, position, and temperature you can imagine. Some helped, some hindered, but none of them was quite right.

Then, I got a Luxome weighted blanket for my girlfriend as a gift. She slept like a rock those first few nights and said she loved it—so, of course, when she went back to her own place, I had to slip it over to my side of the bed to see what all her fuss was about.

First, the fabric and craftsmanship on the integrated cover is amazing. The sleek, shiny gray makes my (nice) gray sheets look brown. It is nicely weighted, and the glass beads are evenly distributed and small enough that you won’t know they’re there at all.

It is long enough and wide enough to cover more than half of a king bed. Second, I sleep really hot, so I thought I would be roasting under this thing. Not only was that NOT the case, I was able to use it on top of my lightweight down comforter with a duvet and somehow didn’t die.

It is clearly very breathable, even despite its weight. What sort of wizardry is this?? Third, sleep. Amazing. I always thought weighted blankets were just the newest fad on the market—a way to part you from a few hundred bucks for something that would do absolutely nothing.

I couldn’t have been more wrong. It really works for me. The heft is just enough to keep you pinned down without being uncomfortable or restrictive. It prevents a lot of unnecessary tossing and turning in the night—and while I wouldn’t go so far as to say it feels like a warm, smooshy hug, it does provide an even, gentle pressure over your entire body.

The weight also naturally keeps the blanket in place, no matter how much you DO move. And it’s not so heavy that you can’t adjust positions if you need to. So now, I’m in for a penny and probably in for 30 pounds, which is the weight of the king-size weighted blanket.

I don’t rave a lot about products, but seriously, this thing is magic. And for the price, you’re not going to find a better-crafted, more comfortable, nicer-looking sense of well-being than the Luxome weighted blanket.

I hope it works for you as well as it does for my girlfriend and me.

For the past two years, both my wife and I started experiencing issues remaining asleep. She did research about weighed blankets and read an article about Luxome’s offerings. She especially like the feedback about these weighed blankets not only offering a calming effect to sleepers with similar issues as us, but also, she was hopeful about the cooling characteristics of these blankets.

As Christmas approached, we decided to not wait any longer. Our sleeping patterns have not improved and while it was a considerable investment as compared with other more traditional covers and blankets, we decided to place an order.

Once we received it, we eagerly put it to the test the very first night. While the sensation of weight was initially unsettling, that gave way to a sleeping pattern with less tossing and turning. My wife also experienced a more comfortable temperature while remaining asleep.

It has been over a week since we started using Luxome’s weighed blanket and we grow more confident we made the right choice by purchasing it. Uncomfortable nights are now giving way to more restful and satisfying ones.

We highly recommend this weighed blanket. Even though our bed is Queen size, we ordered a King-sized blanket as it covers the sides of the bed much better and prevents us from ‘having to fight’ to remain covered.

I ordered the queen sized 20lb blanket during the Black Friday sale from the website. It arrived in 5 days. First impression, the color is much darker than I was expecting. More of a dusty rose/mauve.

It’s shinier (sheen-ier?) than I was expecting but that’s just an observation, not an issue. After the laying the blanket out on my bed, it’s smaller than my queen sized mattress. It about 4+ inches too narrow.

I noticed several long and tangled loose threads and a handful of small pinhead sized holes. Right off the bat, my biggest concern is that this actually poorly made and I’ve been bamboozled. What if it starts leaking glass beads? Will the company be accountable and replace it? Come bedtime my partner and I decide to slip under and feel it out.

We agreed that the weight feels super relaxing and that the cotton feels cool and comfortable. He was out in under 10 minutes and didn’t experience any night sweats. It usually takes me an hour or so to fall asleep due to anxiety and a pain disorder but I was asleep within half an hour.

So basically, I believe that I will get my money’s worth but due to the flaws it had right out of the bag I will not order from Luna in the future. I put a lot of faith in this product but was met with disappointment in the manufacturing process.

I’m gonna ride this out and buy a higher quality American made blanket next.

On par with other weighted blankets in price. I can’t speak to how the quality compares as I don’t own any other weighted blankets. What I don’t like is that even though the filling of the blanket is supposed to be less toxic, the two included duvet covers are both polyester and had a very bad chemical smell when they came out of the box.

It took washing them a few times for the smell to go away. Also, the 8 little straps to hold the blanket in place within the cover are ridiculous. Maybe it would be enough for the throw, but I bought the king-sized blanket for our bed and the ties are constantly coming undone.

Even when they say put, the blanket slides around inside the cover and ends up pulling the corners of the cover with it, so the corners are inside-out (or outside-in). Pulling a super heavy blanket back into place in the middle of the night is a pain and certainly doesn’t help with restful sleep, so I can’t say that the blanket has improved our sleep that much.

As for anxiety, I don’t see much of a difference there either. I also don’t notice any cooling effect. Maybe if I used just the bamboo blanket without the cover. But polyester doesn’t breathe. I tend to sleep hot and I have to throw this blanket off of me at least a few times a night.

If you’re always cold at night, this blanket would be a good option for you.

I actually tried this out because my husband wanted to. I never thought for a moment that I would like a weighted blanket, I was wrong! To my surprise, I slept great, and the blanket felt very comfortable.

One side of the blanket is a beautiful grey and incredibly soft to the touch, and the other side is a lighter grey and feels a lot cooler. I am definitely enjoying the fuzzier side at the moment being that it is freezing outside, but I do look forward to flipping the blanket to cool side down for the warmer months ahead.

I love how easy it is to wash the outer cover. It has a zipper closure that is easily removed for washing. I am actually glad that I gave this weighted blanket a shot. I’ve never really had any trouble sleeping, however this did give me a new sense of comfort.

I have a child with sensory processing disorder and she likes to use weighted blankets. They help her rest better and feel calmer. However, they often make her hot. That’s her number 1 complaint. The tranquility cool to the touch weighted blanket has really helped her.

She’s not as hot, she still has the pressure from the weighted blanket to get the sensory input she needs and I can remove the cover and wash it if she gets anything on it. I really like being able to remove the cover.

Let’s be honest, kids can be stinky so being able to remove the cover and give it a good wash really helps. It helps keep her blanket clean and fresh.

I live in Hawaii where it’s warm, especially in the area I live in. I was looking for a weighted blanket that I could wear all year long. So far, it’s very comfortable. We do keep the a/c on most of the night during the summers so I know even then I’ll be still in love with this blanket! It’s very comfortable to use only the blanket which is what I do.

My personal experience is that if you enjoy being immersed in your bed, if you enjoy a cocoon feeling, an ongoing gentle hug, you’ll enjoy a weighted blanket. I weigh about 110lbs-the 15 lb one works perfect for me.

My body fully relaxes, my legs don’t cramp up anymore and it’s easier to fall back asleep. At first I was concerned about how heavy it was out of the box, but once I put it over me, heaven! We have a king size bed & we were going to get the 35lb large size, but getting 2 separate blankets was best (husband pulls EVERYTHING to his side when he gets up during the night) – it’s less disturbing if you get up 1st and cheaper to return one if the other person doesn’t enjoy it.

This is a well made blanket-the beads are evenly distributed in small squares which evens out the weight, you can wash the outer cover, and the regular size provides more then enough cover for one person.

It stays in place all night even if you get up. I did return my husband’s (he sleeps with only a sheet normally). Returns are easily done, but you have to pay for shipping back.

Timely delivery. I bought the queen size cooling blanket for my husband who tends to wake up many times during the night. He uses CPAP at night which addresses his sleep apnea, but of course it doesn’t address his frequent waking.

He likes the weight of the blanket and doesn’t feel that it makes him too hot, even when combined with other blankets. He has been using it for several weeks; I think that he is returning to sleep somewhat easier after waking up than he used to.

I’m waiting to see if longer use of the blanket will help reduce the number of times that he wakes up. I do think that using the blanket has lessened the amount of leg movement that he experiences while falling asleep and sometimes during sleep.

I’m also encouraging him to not use his cell phone an hour or two before he goes to sleep, even with a blue light filter on it. I think that the phone light may contribute to the frequent waking during the night.

In short, he likes the blanket whether or not it helps him with his sleep and I am seeing some improvement with his sleep problems : ).

Very comforting, lovely, well-made blanket! Very heavy, which I Love! And it covers the entirety of our king-sized bed. Only complaints we have for our cooling blanket: the material is not very soft (kinda scratchy, even after washing), & the blanket is still not as cool as it could be.

I am a person that runs hot. My body temp. is always a bit higher than average, & I live in Texas. I NEED things that genuinely help me cool down. Before owning a very big gravity blanket, I had a smaller blanket just for me that I bought off of Amazon.

The blanket & the shell were both made out of bamboo. Bamboo WORKS perfectly at helping to keep both the blanket & its human very cool & very soft. I really wish Gravity would consider using this material in the future.

However, all the features most people are looking for in a weighted blanket can be found in this one: it is very heavy (35 pounds); very big (covers the entirety & a bit of the sides of our king-sized mattress); & extremely comforting (helps keep me very relaxed & asleep all night long).

My fiancé and I absolutely love our king size Luna weighted blanket! We got the lightest option because our dogs share the bed with us. While our bed is a California King, the blanket still fits well and isn’t too short.

We are cozy, but it stays cool enough so we don’t overheat. This effect is fantastic because my fiancé is a hot sleeper, and between him and our pups, sometimes our old duvet would make me feel like I was baking in an oven.

Under the weighted blanket, I stay just the right amount of cozy. Pair this with a pair of bamboo sheets, trust us! We got a cover for it and it looks so inviting. Can’t even tell it isn’t a traditional duvet when the bed is made.

Since the blanket was delivered a few weeks ago, we have been enjoying restful and wonderful sleep. I will say it took three or four nights to get used to the weighted effect. My anxiety is lifted when I lay down, kept at bay, and the back, knee, and hip pain that both my fiancé and I experience due to intense and demanding respective career fields are minimized because we are sleeping so much better.

Plus, our dogs love it too. Normally they toss and turn during the night, getting up and sometimes going to another room altogether. Lately they lay down and don’t move again until morning, so Luna works for the fuzzy four-leggeds too! Thank you Luna.

I was so excited to receive and try this Tranquility Cooling 12lbs Weighted Blanket and I can say this is an awesome blanket. I actually never even knew about this blankets before but after giving it a try it has become one of my favorites.

I have dealt with anxiety my whole life and for just laying my hands to one of this blankets has blown my mine and makes me ask why haven’t I had these before. It’s very comforting and feels like it’s filled with sand which makes your sleeping so soothing and comfortable.

The material that is made of is so soft and you can actually feel the cooling that it provides. It does apply deep, calming pressure and helps you relax and stay asleep all night and wake up to a well rested night.

It has a removable cool touch cover for easy wash. Definitely washer and dryer friendly. I do suggest not to use on small children do to it applying pressure and being a 12lbs blanket. Overall, this is an amazing product that I will definitely continue to buy in the future and that I definitely recommend to anyone who will love to enjoy a well rested night.

I bought a $25 weighted blanket from Target just to try it, and while I did like it, this blanket doesn’t even begin to compare. I love that this has a washable cover (I got anxiety just from thinking about putting a 12 pound blanket it the washer).

It also isn’t crazy warm like the others, though this morning it did provide a decent amount of warmth when I was trying to get out of bed in a cold room. My favorite thing about it is that it stays on me.

The weight in my other blanket wasn’t distributed evenly, so it just slid off me onto the floor as soon as I fell asleep. This one stays put for the entire night, and just feels like a more quality product.

I’m planning on buying more for christmas presents this year! Amazing product!.

I bought this removable cover weighted blanket (size L) for my son who’s 22. He has depression with extreme anxiety and has a very difficult time staying asleep, nightly. The first night he slept with his new blanket, he slept 9 hours! He cannot believe how great this blanket is, not only for it’s quality, comfort and super coziness, but for his anxiety as well! He said it makes him feel so secure.

I had to try out his amazing new blanket myself…. oh my goodness, I was blown away with just how comfortable and cozy this blanket is and how it makes me feel. He has slept with it every night for 6-7 weeks now and the beads do not bulk up in one spot, it does not pill at all and you just remove the cover to launder.

I have a lot of sensory issues that make every small feeling in or on my body noticeable- creases in my nightshirt or my sheets- anything can keep me from getting comfortable. I also get hot fast. The very first night I used my new integrated cooling blanket, I slept through the night for the 1st time in ten years! For once, I didn’t feel anything on or around my body but comfort.

The 20 pound weight, twin size is definitely what I needed for my very large frame (I don’t have a sleeping partner so I didn’t need the queen sized). I also love the 2 different sides. The cooling side is satiny and stays cool feeling.

And the velvety side is cozy and keeps you warm. So you can flip it over if you need to. I am glad I got the integrated. I tried a different brand with a cover, and it was just too difficult to keep straight.

Although the 20 lb weight makes it less likely to use as a throw (because it is heavy to move around), I am fine with that. I leave it in my bedroom. I am thinking of getting another to keep in my living room, and one for my son who also has sensory issues.

Really cools but its heavy. If you like a heavy blanked that feels cold thats the one! They have a less heavy one too! I bought this one because i got used to sleep with a heavy comforter. The size isnt big.

Enough for 1 person only. I believe they couldnt make it a king sized blanked because it would be hard to carry it. This one already is hard to carry. But i like it! Feels good! The texture is cozy and silky like.

I bought the blanket and sheet bundle on a promotion. The blanket itself is good and my husband does say it helps him sleep, although it doesn’t do much for me. It’s heavy and warm and what else can I ask for in a blanket? I did like that the covers zip on and off and this prevents the blanket from shifting inside like other weighted blankets.

(my kids’ blankets have ties that are constantly coming off. ) It’s well made, even though I personally believe it’s not worth the cost. The sheets are a different story. Those are bunk. They aren’t cooling at all and they feel cheap.

But the biggest issue I had with them is that the king size sheets come with standard size pillow cases (2). I have never encountered this before. Any other king size sheet set comes with 4 king size pillow cases.

I thought I had gotten them in error, but I contacted customer service and they said it’s because their pillow cases are made to fit their pillows. Well that’s fine, but make king size pillows if you’re going to make a king size mattress, right? Then include the correct pillow cases with your sets.

Then I went on amazon and found the exact same sheets, I mean the exact ones with a perfect color match, for $60 instead of the $200 they charge if you purchase them separately. I bought those so I could get the pillow cases I needed.

So do yourself a favor and buy the ones on amazon for a lot less and get pillow cases you can actually use.

The overall blank is great, I sleep better than before. But. and there’s a huge but and great disappointment. First of all the KING size cooling 2. 0 blanket is not big enough. it’s almost a good 12” too small on the sides.

which cause the blanket to only hang over by 2 inches at the most on each side of the mattress, for the length it’s fine. I questioned the customer service about this and they said that it’s the size for King beds.

it just doesn’t look good. for the price you would think that it would at lease fit and look good. As for other issues that I had. the covers for the cool blanket had a weird fold at the seam that seemed to be due to the stitching being off.

I contacted customer service about this and they offered me to use my one time replacement. After much thought I did, they provided great service, and relatively quick responses. So I receive the replacement blanket, which is complete with the insert and cover.

I than change the blanket, come to find out after the night of sleep that the area of the blanket where I sleep barely has weight. so I decide to weight the two blanket to see if there’s a difference.

and yes there was a 3 lbs difference between both. Ohh the color. it isn’t grey. it’s more like a dark lilac or light off purple with grey-ish tones to it. it’s NOT grey There’s a huge lack in quality control.

My sister also purchase a king cooling 2. 0 blanket and had an issue with the stitching of the cover. So overall, I am greatly disappointed, sadly I wouldn’t purchase another blanket due to the sizing issues and the lack of quality control.

I’m a very hot sleeper, I usually sleep with normal more than a thin bedsheet for a “blanket”. But I love the feeling of a blanket, just not the heat, so when I read about the Hush Iced weighted blanket, it seemed like the perfect solution.

The price? Steep. But you get what you pay for, and I figured that at this price point, it would be the one blanket to trump them all. But. oh boy. First off, the feel of it is amazing. It’s cool to the touch, and I love that.

Texture is nice and silky, the quality feels good, and when it wraps around you, it feels incredibly comforting. For that, I give it 5 stars. But then the night goes on. and 9/10 nights with this blanket, I wake up soaking wet with night sweats, and not just any night sweats, but probably the worst night sweats I’ve ever gotten with any blanket.

The problem is that there’s so much weight on the blanket that there is absolutely zero airflow. I felt none of moisture wicking cooling tech that was advertised. There were nights where I would start to feel myself overheating before I even managed to fall asleep.

I figured, okay, maybe the room is too hot. So one time I even tried sleeping with the AC on, in January, in Alberta. Nada. The blanket felt really nice and cold on the outside, but an oven on the inside.

It did however do a great job of keeping me warm! Buuuuuuut that’s not the purpose of an iced blanket, in my opinion. So as much as I love this blanket, it does not remotely keep me cool and so therefore I can only give it 2 stars.

5 stars for quality and feel and being a great weighted blanket, minus 3 stars for not being remotely cooling.

I’ve been casually shopping weighted blankets for quite some time — but finding the weight I need (20lbs) without the price tag being well over $100 proved to be a challenge. When I saw this one, I felt like it was time to give it a try.

I’m so happy i did! The color is lovely, the material is really soft, and the blanket breathes well — which was a definite concern, since I “run hot” and tend to get sweaty at night. I haven’t had any issues with that, and it is definitely helping me stay asleep for longer stretches.

Perfect weight. I weigh 110lbs and bought a little heavier (20lbs) than they recommend- just love it! I can fold it for double the weight if I want because the blanket is so big (60×80). It’s exactly what I hoped it would be!.

The blanket is very nice in fact I bought 2. I was upset that one of the blankets had 2 little dots of it looked like magic marker on it and it was delivered in a box that was falling apart. If they knew the blankets were 20lbs each x2 why on earth would they pack it in a regular box.

I wanted to try a weighted blanket that was affordable because I wasn’t quite sure if I would like it. I got this on a sale. It’s best to go by your own weight (about 10% of your body weight). I like the soft velvety cover and the inside blanket part seems well made.

It is filled with tiny glass beads and fluffy batting. You can’t wash the blanket itself, only the cover. I have never owned something with a “duvet” type cover that you have to attach, but I was disappointed to see there are just 2 small tabs (like short ribbons) that you tie into knots through loops to secure the blanket inside.

The problem is that you will need to untie and retie them to wash the cover. They aren’t long enough to tie “bows” which would be easy to undo. You have to tie a knot. If you don’t tie it super tight (which I did not), the blanket inside comes unsecured and just wads up in the cover.

If you tie them securely, who knows if you will be able to UN tie them when you need to wash the cover. Something like a snap or a button would have made more sense, I think.

Returned. Sad to say disappointed with this product made by a respected brand. Ties and loops used to connect inner weighted blanket to outside cover poorly made. Very little room for tying and you would probably not want to knot it if you even had enough slack to do so, how would you untie it to wash cover? May I suggest going to an inner zipper system or possibly buttons.

This was not at all what we expected. The ties that hold the weighted blanket to the cover are not strong enough and tore within 2 uses. Each stitched square is filled about 1/4 of the way with what feels like tiny balls.

It is not very comfortable. Without the cover the material used for the “weighted” part is super thin and scratchy.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this inexpensive blanket. The first night I slept with it I had a sounder and longer sleep. It is comforting and literally feels like every part of your body is being hugged.

I bought the 12 lb blanket because I am small. It does not add heat and as it is on top of my covers just hugs the covers around you. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I have several autoimmune issues and my legs ache at night. I bought this to see if it helps. It is perfect. 12 lb weight isn’t super heavy. I am 5’10”, so it hit me from shoulders to feet. and fits just on my side of our king sized bed.

It hasn’t conquered all of my aches, but there is an improvement.

Best blanket I’ve ever had. Our house is cooler than outside sometimes and this little blanket keeps you warm. I have menopause and k hot flushed are the worst. The cooling effect is great for that!

I’ve never had a weighted blanket before, so I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect when I opened the package. This blanket does NOT disappoint! As soon as I draped it over myself while laying on the couch, I felt relaxed and even dozed off within a few minutes.

I also usually cuddle on the couch with my Chihuahua mix. She crawled right in and gladly laid under the blanket with me (and she’s only about 10lbs but the weight didn’t deter her at all). My partner even snapped a picture of us both snoozing because we both looked so peaceful.

Dog cuddling aside, this blanket is amazing! I love that it’s heavy, but doesn’t trap in body heat so I don’t get sweaty while sleeping under it. It’s also great to just wrap around your shoulders while sitting on the couch or a chair if you don’t want it on your legs–it’s like a giant hug.

I’ve used it both with and without the duvet cover and it’s great either way. I am so happy I got this blanket!.

Honestly, I was a little hesitant to try out the blanket once I initially put it on. Immediately I thought “I’m going to hate this and feel claustrophobic,” but, I was so wrong. Within a couple of minutes the initial fear wasn’t an issue any longer because I drifted off to sleep! I NEVER fall asleep that quickly.

In fact, I’m usually up for 30-60 minutes before falling asleep, trying to solve the worlds problems in my head. So far, every night that I have used the weighted blanket I have fallen asleep quickly, and slept better in general.

I’m a light sleeper and someone who always wakes up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I have not done that once since using the blanket!.

I love to snuggle under weight and am very comforted by it. (I add blankets to my bed just for the weight, drives my husband crazy!) I had been looking at weighted blankets for a while an was super excited to use this one.

The outer cover is beautiful, and it is well made. My issue is that it is heavier than it should be. I ordered the 15lb blanket. When I used it, I was surprised by how heavy it was, so I weighed myself, then I weighed myself while holding the blanket.

The blanket is 2-3 lbs more than it should be. Definitely something worth trying. It was just too heavy for me.

Sealy 15lb Weighted Blanket with Removable Cool & Clean Cover is one of the best blankets you can buy. I tried other weighted blankets before, but this is the first for this brand. I have severe insomnia at times, but I no longer need any sleep supplement to get some shut eye.

It is much safer than supplements or medication to sleep. You can also use it in conjunction with anything like that if you wish. The blanket keeps me warm and cozy both at the same time assuring me the best night’s sleep I have had in a long time.

I feel pampered and spoiled when I use this blanket. My restless legs don’t move around as much and that helps for me to stay in one place being comforted by something as soft and relaxing as this wonderful blanket.

I have amazing results with it so I am pretty sure you will as well. The cover is somewhat attached so it doesn’t move around on the blanket. You can use this just as needed or for every time you nap or sleep.

Keeps my legs and arms from flailing around too much during or before sleep. The weight of this blanket is just right for my body weight which is 140 lbs.

The Sealy 15lb Weighted Blanket is so much heavier than I thought it would be. I have horrible anxiety and have been considering a weighted blanket for awhile now. When I removed it from its packaging and laid it out on my bed, it was much larger than I had expected also, which was a nice surprise! The exterior cover is almost fashioned like a duvet.

It zips up and then on the inside, ties together in multiple spots to keep the blanket in place and to prevent it from bunching up. It is a nice neutral grey color on top, and a lighter smooth grey color on the cool side.

Because of my body weight, the 15lb one was appropriate for me. When I draped the blanket around my shoulders to test it out, it fit around them perfectly and there’s enough blanket for it to almost fully cover me.

It did not cause me to get hot while I had it on, and it did have a “settling” effect on me. I just feel I may should have gotten a lighter one.

When I saw 15lbs, I didn’t think it’s be all that heavy, but it is. Took a little to get used to. When you lay flat, your arms are weaker than usual so when I would roll over, I’d lift the blankets so my pajamas/socks didn’t get caught on the sheets and all twisted around.

After a few weeks it’s not really noticeable anymore. This blanket is filled with glass beads and according to care instructions, the cover is washable, but the inside must be spot cleaned with a cloth and not go in the wash.

My guess is that the stitching may not hold and beads may go everywhere. I’m a little concerned, with animals, that this may be a problem. Animals sometimes get sick or urinate where they aren’t supposed to.

I placed my weighted blanket over the sheet, but under my comforter for added protection.
