20 Best Wetsuit For Swimming (2022 Updated)

Athlex feels as near to not wearing a wetsuit i have experienced. It feels so natural with no limited movement due to wetsuit design or movement. It is light and warm. and gives a great water position for front crawl.

I am an experienced sea swimmer, this now is my favourite suit for current conditions.

After ordering half a dozen wetsuits between £120-£200 and trying my best to follow some not very accurate sizing guides I found this to be bang on. For reference I’m 5’11, 90kg and pretty broad around the shoulder/back area and ordered this in size 9 and it’s beautifully snug.

Only used it a few times so no idea of the longevity but it feels great in the water.

Amazing suit, oozes quality !

I am 5’10” 190lbs and have had to send back two Large TYR suits. I am now switching to another brand (Zoot). My first suit zipper teeth broke and my second suit just my right arm was experiencing easy rips on the arms.

I am muscular, so it takes more time to put this suit on. I wore the first suit twice, once to try and once to swim. Wasn’t able to swim due to zipper breaking. 2nd suit, three times and every time more and more holes formed on the arms.

I am sad bc I really like TYR’s product prior to this….

When buying the sleeveless you need a good understanding as to what purpose you will use it for. It is great to give those who need a bit more freedom around the shoulders (those with shoulder injuries should seriously consider such a suit) or just a bit more warmth from the autumn or spring water chills.

However, if it is racing that you are looking at for this suit then note that it doesn’t give you anywhere near the same speed that the matching full C5 wetsuit offers (I have both). There is a noticeable difference in straight line speed between the two and I would definitely recommend the later for such purposes.

If you feel the cold in the water then you need to think carefully about a sleeveless (and the C5 is no better or worse in this respect). I do feel the cold but can still swim comfortably for an hour or more in 12-13 degree c in this suit (but you will feel it on your arms).

Quality is good throughout the suit and it won’t fall apart. However, from a value perspective it doesn’t come cheap. That is especially the case where it is outgunned in race conditions by most comparably priced full wetsuits.

However, if you do have specific needs requiring a sleeveless. then this is a good sleeveless suit. Most who buy this product wont be concerned about pricing in any event and will probably be used by them as a secondary suit for specific conditions.

You just need to consider carefully what your requirements are before purchasing this suit. If in doubt, my recommendation is to go for the full C5 wetsuit.

I love this wetsuit. My old wetsuit finally needed to be thrown away, so I decided to try this brand out and it did not disappoint. I did a Ironman a few weeks ago and finished my swim in 1h 20m. I dropped 7 minutes from my old wetsuit.

I also ordered the size according to my weight which was a large, but when I tried it out at the lake it was to big. I called customer service and they were great to work with. My race was coming up, so they just had me purchase another wetsuit but the next size down which was ML, and then when it arrived I tried it out and it fit a lot better, I then sent the first one back and was refunded.

Based on the online sizing chart, I am a Medium. So, I ordered a Medium NeoSport Sleevless Short Wet Suit. After wearing it a couple times it became clear to me that I would not be able to zip it all the way up without help.

In an email “conversation” with your staff person it was suggested that this suit was too small and that I should have a Large size. I was told that I could not exchange it because I had already worn it.

Now, the seams are pulling apart in the upper leg area and I still can’t zip it up. I’m guessing that the sizing chart is inaccurate. Is there any way I can have a price cut on a size Large? I’d be willing to ship this size Medium.

What do you think? If the sizing worked out well, I would have recommended this wet suit.

First time buying/needing a suit as I’m new to open water swimming. As far as the suit goes, I thought it ran a little big. I’m normally a size 14-16 in clothing, so I ordered a 14 suit and found it was big on me.

I sent it back for size 12, which fit perfectly. By the way, I’m nowhere near any of the measurements on the chart, but somehow the size 12 fit me. I’ve only been in the water once with the suit on, but it was easy to swim in and did its job in 57 degree water.

On a separate note, the customer service with this company is outstanding! In addition to the first suit being the wrong size for me, it had a small amount of damage when it arrived, so I called the customer service number (on a Saturday when they were closed – my bad) and left a message about my problem.

Someone from the company returned my call first thing Monday morning and they had already put in an order to send me a new suit to replace the damaged one. I think I received the new suit 2 days later.

Having never used a wetsuit for swimming before, I first rented this model for my first triathlon last year. This year, I decided to go ahead and purchase my own. I have muscular shoulders and the sleeveless cutouts are very comfortable and allow for full range of motion.

I like the shorter leg length and I imagine it makes it easier to put the wetsuit on and take it off (although it still takes some practice). This wetsuit is tight and I have to admit that when I wore it in Lake Michigan for a practice swim, it took a while to feel like I could take in a deep breath.

This did not happen in the pool where the water is much warmer. I also did not have this problem in the colder water last year when I rented the suit, so I think it just needs to be used a bit more to stretch out.

That being said, the suit does not let in any stray water and I have gotten better at putting it on and taking it off with practice. Highly recommended, especially if you have very little idea what you are looking for in a wetsuit.

Excellent price on Leisure Pro – much cheaper than I found anywhere else.

Overall, I’m disappointed with this wetsuit. I initially had issues trying to zip up the suit when first trying on. However, with help from the Cleanline staff I managed to get it zipped without too much hassle before going out yesterday (10/14/21) in north San Diego County.

But the real disappointment arrived when I was out in the water. After about 40 minutes I started to get really cold (and I wasn’t just sitting out there either; did a lot of paddling). The water temp was 60-62, and I have never experienced getting cold that soon at that temp in my old 4/3 Hyperflex.

Folks contemplating buying this suit should be aware that there is no lining on the back of the suit, just on the chest, which I think is a big mistake. While the neoprene is flexible, I would advise against buying it.

There are better wetsuits out there at around the same price point (e. g. , Buell) that do a better job of keeping you warm within the range stated at the top of this page (low 50s-60s).

I like the look and feel of the suit and it was comfortable in terms of warmth but I can’t rate it any higher than two stars because it takes in an absurd amount of water in the lower legs. So much so that it actually affects my surfing.

It’s like having a 20lb weight taped to each leg. I pop up and look like I have horrible swelling from the knees down. Based on the O’Neill sizing chart I bought the right suit. I am at the lower height range for it but it should be fine.

Weight, chest, waist measurements all correct. Also I have big calves and ankles so if anything the suit should be too tight in the legs, instead of too loose. Not sure if I can modify it to take on less water or release water it does take on.

If not, I will have to go to another brand. I grew up wearing O’Neill suits but this one isn’t working out. Bummer.

In Jacksonville, Florida: Fits great, easy to get on and off, doesn’t cause rash, but cold! This basic suit leaks through the cheap seams and doesn’t provide adequate warmth as most of the panels are only 2mm.

It’s basically a leaky (due to seam construction) 2mm suit. This suit is barely a step-up from a cheap springsuit. For most days that a decent 3/2 fullsuit is required, you will be cold in this suit.

For days that a decent 3/2 fullsuit is a little too much, this suit might be perfect.

Awesome suit. I bought it because my pool was always ice cold and I wanted to use ithe pool more often without The expense of heating the pool. Pool is still cool but the suit helps. The floatation is awesome, I live in the deep end now! BONUS: I Lloyd good in the suit.

I love the one piece look I don’t like wearing a life Jacket on pool ( can’t move) I love the one piece look. AllSoom to were all day long in and out of pool. I love were at All day long at don’t fell like I have a swim suit and life Jacket on.

I am new to open water swimming and wanted to start out right. Having researched, I opted for the Blue Seventy Sprint and I am very glad I did. The sizing is accurate and provides a great scope for different builds etc.

The wetsuit is high quality, very comfortable and easy on and off. The soft neoprene and soft areas around the arms are brilliant for comfort and action. Sigma sports got it to me very quickly too. All in all a great purchase experience and thoroughly recommended.

Only had 3 outings but so far: Great fit, fluid through the water, easy to take on an off, plenty of flexibility in the shoulders. Would like just a little more warmth as we’re heading toward winter.

I reckon it’ll keep me going into December, but not sure it’s up to February’s temperatures. Some of the seam glue looks a little tired already. I hope it holds.

I received this wetsuit about a month ago. I’ve used it a number of times in practice and on race day. The buoyancy is actually more than I expected/needed but it gives me the confidence in open water and keeps me in the correct swimming position, which is perfect as I am still quite new to open water swimming.

Fit is great – I am a little bottom heavy with a small top half so I was worried that it wouldn’t fit everywhere but BlueSeventy have got the ‘female style’ nailed. Size chart is spot on. I am 5’7 and 63kg, I went for the WML as I was worried my bum wouldn’t fit in the WM, I could of actually gone for the smaller size for a tighter fit on my top half but the WML is great for me.

The wetsuit isn’t flimsy, it would take quite a bit of effort to stick your finger through it so on race day when you are in a rush, it’s good to know that you can just whip it off without having to panic you are going to damage it.

Overall, an awesome first wetsuit and when it’s time to upgrade I will be staying with BlueSeventy.

D’un autre côté, la combinaison rempli très bien sa fonction question flottaison. Elle est très souple et très agréable à porter. On oublie mème qu’on la porte quand on nage tellement elle est souple.

Pour ma part je vais la garder pour l’entrainement mais pour une course j’ai trop difficile à l’enlever elle ne glisse pas sur les jambes et a plutôt tendance à s’enrouler. Je possède une ancienne combinaison Orca Sonar qui par contre se défile très bien, mais le néoprène est lisse.

A chacun de poser son choix. Un peu dommage que le débat ne soit pas ouvert! Pour terminer, le prix est très attractif et le produit est très bien si on a le temps pour se déshabiller !.

Pro’s: Absolutely love the fit on this wetsuit. It feels like a second skin. Hi Vis in open water can only be a good thing where there is boat traffic/ paddle boards/ jet skies etc & why more Companies don’t use hi Vis neoprene is a mystery to me.

Lovely fit on the wrists & ankles too. Cons:Water ingress as soon as I step into the water. I can feel it with every step the deeper I descend. It appears this suit holds water. My legs especially seem to drag & I’m having to work harder to maintain my stroke, which inturn increases my breathing rate.

It’s an uncomfortable swim & although I’m fully confident in my own abilities, I’m not confident with this suit. It drags. Conclusion: Great for a summer bimble, but if distance is your thing, buy a higher end suit.

I purchased this to support my participating in open water swimming post summer and chose this item as it was stated to have neutral buoyancy and was at a good price. Unfortunately I am of medium height but have a barrel rather an a 6 pack, so options appeared somewhat limited.

After an exchange of emails I opted to try a size 10 and 11, and settled on the 10 despite it being slightly snug. However it was the right move as I have dropped some pounds over recent weeks. The fit is really good once you have shoed yourself in sufficiently and is very comfortable to swim in; I tend to breaststroke with the occasional crawl.

The water temp has not been too low over recent weeks (17-19) and this has been more than sufficient for me to swim 1k or longer without being cold (minimum 40 minutes in the lake). If I can stick to my weight loss plan I will definitely go for another Orca, if not the same model as it represent good value for money.

This wetsuit works for me, however, not one size fits all so do try an few sizes and take the advice of the Sigma Team.

Purchased earlier in the year (2021), only used 3 times. Every swim the suit opens up at the neck after approximately 400 metres and allows fresh water to flow through. Not ideal for a thermal wetsuit to keep you warm from cold water.

I contacted Orca directly to question the sizing and if I was wearing the suit incorrectly. I sent photos of the suit with it on as requested, Orca suggested I pull the sleeves up further! A very disappointing response, and sadly Sigma aligned with this feedback, complete disappointment.

I generally lead out of the water in races, including 70. 3 and ITU world champs (AG), having raced for 30 plus years I always wear high end suits. This is the most disappointed I have been in 30 plus years.

I would suggest this suit is ‘not fit for purpose’. There are better fitting thermal suits on the market.

I compared this in the water to the basic Roka Maverick (cost $250). This outperformed Maverick with shoulder flexibility, buoyancy, and aiding with my stroke. I was much faster in the suit than without it.

I am giving 4 stars because the velcro that closes over the zipper top is bulky and bunches on my neck, which seems like it would have been an easily avoidable flaw, but is tolerable for the other quality measures of the suit.

The suit arrived several days before I had a race in a mountain lake and according to the sizing chart I should have fit. However, I could not get the legs of the suit past my calf. Unfortunately, it was a wrong fit for me and I could not exchange the suit for a M when I asked and instead would have had to ship it back and re-pay for another suit.

Gave it to a local friend, and hope they like it!.

I’ve been participating in a few triathlons per year, for a few years now and many of them include open water swims. I was increasingly aware that I was always one of the few competitors NOT wearing a wetsuit and so, I finally decided to investigate getting one given the advantages of using one.

This product is, easily, very good value for money. If you purchase the right fit (do your research and try on a few) you will find that this suit is well constructed and comfortable. It is also, surprisingly fast for entry level grade.

It provides very good buoyancy and is quite warm. I shopped around and there are no comparable products that are this well priced. I don’t regret this purchase and am glad that I did not purchase used! The only thing I cannot speak to, is how long it will last; but I will care it well and see how well it holds up.

I got the suit in about a month after placing the order. (but that is standard shipping time for Romania). After opening the package I’v notice a small defect on one of the legs. Aside from that everything was perfect.

I ordered the XXL size since I’m 1. 96 and it fits nice and smooth. I haven’t tried in the water yet but I’m planing to do it in the sping time. Overall I’m happy with my order.

Bought this suit for some swimming in frigid Lake Tahoe this summer. I suited up 4 times so far and this suit was very comfortable and warm. The fit is great and did really good on my first open water swim of the year.

Zipper is good, seams are good, fit is great. Looks cool too. For the money this is a great value. I am 6ft 185 and got the large. The fit is snug but exactly right.

I’ve used a Vanquish for triathlon and ow events for a couple of years, but using a competitor’s entry-level suit for swimrun events. I took advantage of a recent offer on the Z3 site to grab one of these superb suits and I couldn’t be more pleased.

I took a chance that the sizing (L) would match the Vanquish and I would say that this is largely the case. The difference in flexibility is clear, but the Evolution still fits extremely well and I think the differences in sizing and fit were more to do with the switch from rear to front fastening and the tightness of the new neoprene.

The bottom half fits very well and while I haven’t done any serious running in it yet, feels equally flexible. I was surprised at how well the suit kept me warm on its debut in what turned out to be the coolest day of the late Summer so far – the advantage of long sleeves for warmth as well as streamlining in the water over my old shortie-style SW suit.

The 8mm sleeves went on easily, stayed in place and kept me warm as well as buoyant. Usually, if a company describes something as game changing it would raise an eyebrow, but this is such a step up in quality from my previous suit and is also a brilliant backup for my Vanquish on a hot day, that I would agree.

I love the inside pockets on both sides and the rear zipped pouch for first-aid, whistle, etc. A really well-designed and highly functional suit – delighted.

This suit is simply enjoyable to wear. No boundaraies to push the limits of swimming or running. The size S fit is perfect – 170cm / 60 kg). The freedom of movement both in swim and run is from an other planet compared to the entry level swimrun suit I used for one season.

It is a very light weight and you don’t really notice much of any difference whether you are running with running tights or wearing this amazing swimrun wetsuit. I still need to test how this suit funcitons in cold water temperatures.

The pockets and other functionalities are great.

This suit is, by far, the best swimrun suit i’ve owned. stretchy where it needs to be stretchy, and lots of smart pockets to stash your gels or googles. the suit never feels bulky. If you wear them with the calf pieces, and a small bouy, your position in the water will be perfect.

The design department did an awesome job. this is the best looking suit outhere!.

I have now used this wetsuit 8 times on weekly swims. I swim mainly breastroke and some crawl. I swim between 200m in winter to 2km in summer. I am a 6’4″, pair-shaped UK size 12 with a long torso. I tried 2 breastroke specific westuits: the Yonda Spook and this one and have bought the Aspect ML.

I found the Yonda too short in the torso. I believe Alpkit also do one but my size wasn’t in stock when I was shopping. Positives: I love the orange trim and the fact that companies are designing wetsuits for swimmers other than triathletes.

The wetsuit is really easy to take on and off and is much more fun to swim in than my old surf wetsuit. Negatives: 1. When swimming breastroke I find the wetsuit gathers and pinches behind my knees making it uncomfortable when swimming longer distances.

This is not an issue when swimming crawl. 2. The panel over the bottom is stitched and I find the stitching rubs when I swim breastroke. This is merely a nuisance in warmer months but I am concerned that it will cause chaffing in winter.

3. I find the neck flap at the back quite stuff. This is not a problem when turning my neck sideways to swim crawl but it digs in when looking forward to swim breastroke. Ironically, I find this wetsuit more comfortable for swimming crawl than breaststroke.

Read more reviews and get more opinions but I think if you can afford to, it’s probably better to pay more and go for a fully glued wetsuit. If you’re not in a hurry, I would probably hold off on buying this particular wetsuit until there have been a couple more design iterations.

The Vanquish has served me well for three summers, but by the end of the third summer it was really starting to come apart. I used special neoprene glue for the nicks and even a big tear in the leg, but the real weakness are the speed panels, both of which have torn away from the rest of the suit.

I was always very careful putting it on (putting feet and hands through a plastic bag etc). It is not as delicate as some other brands (ie HUUB) but hoped to get a bit more service out of it. For the time I had it though was a great suit for training and lake swimming.

I know have the Vision in ST which is actually a better fit (Im 184cm 73kg). Found it a good fit from the start, flexible around the shoulders etc (although the neoprene material on the shoulders is now worn out too).

I did get a lot of neck rubbing from it. Very fast to remove at first, not so much after 3 years. The panels on the new (cheaper) Vision seem to work much better! TLDR if you want a Zone 3 suit that will last several seasons, get one without the speed panels.

Positives The neoprene feels really robust when I compare it to my friends suits that seem to rip and tear at the slightest pull. Dries very quickly so no damp suit next day. Easy to get on and off even though tight fitting, the cuffs work really well.

The buoyancy spread really lifts the torso and makes sea swimming much easier. Negatives I still can’t get the seal at the neck to work like my other suits. I still get a fair bit of water down it each swim, I’ve tried all combinations of pulling arms and shoulders up more, or less, tighter or looser neck seal, but it still doesn’t stop the water coming in.

Leaks through the zip. Neck rash. I get it more on this suit than any of my others, even with higher necked surfing suits. Overall a great looking suit that seems so much more robust than other suits, just expect a bit more water in it.

I had done all of my open water training without a wetsuit this spring. But the weekend of my 2K open-water race a couple of weeks ago the temperature dipped and the lake was colder then forecast. I splurged and got the suite a couple days before the race.

I am an experienced diver, and used to wets. Even breaking the unwritten rule of never race with new gear, the suit lived up to it’s reputation. Buoyancy around the hips and legs helped compensate the fatigue near the end.

Having larger shoulders then most sizing was tight but that was expected. The sizing chart is off (they always are).

This suit was purchased primarily for river surfing in the mid atlantic area. I needed something for spring and fall where the air temps are in the 70’s but water is in the 50’s-60’s. Got home from work, suit was in my mailbox (kudos on zero packaging), tried it on and fit was fine.

Cut off tags and in 20 minutes I was in the water on a wave! I’ve had the suit 3 weeks now and use it 2-3 times a week. Loving it so far! Easy to slip into wet or dry, minimal water infiltration at zipper, air dries fast, super comfortable, packs small.

Stitching seams are quality. I ordered a medium over a small due to my chest measurement of 43”, at 5’7” and 135 lbs. Fit was great with a little slack at knees and elbows and great coverage at wrists and ankles.

Add the low price and this suit is a steal of a deal!.

The grey chest/core area is coated in some rubber that’s grippy. I got it for diving. I guess the grip definitely makes this more of a surf wetsuit than a dive one. It’s a 3/2mm so there are thin bits too.

Just something to be aware of.

I bought this the other day and tried it out in August Santa Cruz waters, it’s not bad. I already had the same model Hyperflex full suit, in both the same minor problem exists, the chest and shoulder area is kinda tight while the stomach area and below is relatively looser.

But besides that both the full and the short suit keep one pretty warm, especially for the cost of the suits. Because overall the quality is good, Neoprene is thick enough, and arm/leg/neck openings seal water out pretty well.

So I think they’re worth the price, of course if you spend twice as much you’ll probably get a better suit. Overall I’d say a good bargain.

The wetsuit quality is quite decent. Fit is generous as described so size down if you’re in between sizes. Overall very pleased with this item.

The fit is good for a 10 US size. I find the arms to be a bit loose. The zipper is easy to manage and the neck is snug to keep water out. I would rate it a 7/10

After reading loads of reviews saying the sizing was way off I bought this wetsuit in multiple sizes to ensure I got the right one for my kids. I actually found it was really true to size and wondering if people are buying them so they are not fitted correctly? A wetsuit should fit like a second skin but not so tight that your range of motion is limited, if it’s too big it won’t keep you any warmer and will flap about your body and add extra weight to the swimmer.

My eldest is a tall 5 years old, 113 cm and slim. The age 6 fitted him perfectly. I tried the age 8 and it just a little bit too baggy and would likely not function properly. My youngest is age 3 and very petite for her age and the age 4 fitted well.

If anything a tiny bit big. These wetsuits look like decent value for the price. Hoping they’ll perform well in the water.

Bought this with the intention of using it as a midway point between getting out of my wetsuit and into just a swimming costume once the temps started warming a little around March or so. Unfortunately, disaster struck when said wetsuit zip broke and I was forced to accelerate my plans! Anyway, have worn this 3 times now, all 3 swims were under 5° and I managed 20 mins each time, which is typical duration for me so I don’t feel held back by it being thinner/colder than my regular suit.

I’m a size UK 20/22 top half and 22/24 bottom half and the 2xl fits great! It is tight of course, but it’s supposed to be, and it zips up pretty easily and is fairly comfy when on, little bit restricted if I want to say bend down to put on my boots for example, but crucially, movement is not at all restricted in the water.

Bought a 8 years wet suit for my 6 year old and it was probably 2 or 3 sizes to small for her. Exactly the same issue with my 10year old. Bought him a 12 years and it was the right size for my 6 year old.

Honestly what is the point??? Just a total inconvenience and I have to pay to return them. Don’t waste your time or money on this rubbish.

This is a nicely made suit at a reasonable price. Be aware that the sizing is off. I fit into the middle of the range for the Large size but had to return it for the XL which is a good fit. I am pleased with it though I almost didn’t keep it as I felt the neck was restrictive.

This has proved to not be a problem at all when in the water. I don’t feel restricted and suffer no chaffing. The big downside of the suit is that I just didn’t feel the benefit of it being suitable for breaststroke.

My legs and feet float right up to the surface which not only prevents me swimming breastroke efficiently but also ensures I get a backache. It’s not all bad news – it’s a comfy suit and it has given me the kick (pun intended) to seriously work on my front crawl instead.

I only got into open water swimming this year and was donated an old suit by a friend to get going until it came to the end of its life. I’ve been swimming in my own skin until the recent cold weather moved in so decided to treat myself to a new suit.

I swim breaststroke and found the last suit too buoyant and stiff for breaststroke and then I saw Zone 3 released the Aspect suit so I went for it! It’s absolutely spot on, perfectly designed, exactly as described.

It genuinely fits so well it feels like my own skin, allows perfect easy movement and I’m not floating on the surface! I can’t recommend this enough if you swim breaststroke!.

As a breaststroke triathlete, I would opt for warmer water races where I can use my neoprene shorts and swim vest, and whilst I used a standard swim wetsuit for training, the high “floating legs” made racing in a wetsuit non-viable.

This “Aspect” suit is surprisingly effective. I’m still fairly buoyant (partly due to high salinity in the Med), but there is a noticeable difference to this breaststroke design model. Additionally, I was surprised that the thin stretch panels didn’t significantly degrade the heat retention factor.

Finally, it’s arguably the easiest wetsuit I’ve tried to get in and out of.

I purchased my Maverick II Pro to replace a suit made by a company known for their very low prices. The immediate difference that impressed me even before my order was that there was a phone number to call, and within a very short time I was able to speak with a live Human.

The other company just asks that you leave a message (which they don’t respond to). The Roka rep answered all of my questions and was very helpful (I was a bit nervous about plunking down a pretty serious sun for a wetsuit having been used to the $199.

95 variety). When I received my Maverick II Pro, I tried it on and was impressed by the numbers on the suit that help align the suit to knee, elbow and shoulder joints to ensure proper positioning. I was also impressed that Roka thinks to include a pair of cotton gloves to help avoid “shark bites” and assist in pulling the suit on (sounds like a little thing, but what other company does this!).

As to performance, I’ve been a Triathlete for over 35 years and this is the best wetsuit I’ve ever owned. Different thicknesses of neoprene in key areas is really great. Very helpful to keeping my body positioned right in the water.

And getting the suit off at the end of the swim is quick and easy, especially due to the very stretchy panel at the ankles. Overall, while it’s only been a short time with this new wetsuit, I’m loving it and living the great Roka customer service (so nice to actually be able to reach a live, knowledgeable Human Being at the other end of the phone.

Dear Roka, I have never sent a message like this to a company but feel compelled to do so after completing my first triathlon at Victoria 70. 3. It was an absolutely fantastic experience in no small part because of you.

I unexpectedly took delivery of a Maverick X2 Wetsuit two days before the race, and it is now my prized possession. Thank you for making it. I am sure it was strange for some to see a newbie “back of the packer” like me in a top-of-the-line wetsuit but my experience justifies the purchase.

The swim was my biggest worry and turned out to be the best part. I know that it is common wisdom not to try out new gear on race day, but I was so sure that my poor swimming and inconsistent swim training put me at risk of missing the swim cut-off, that I broke down at the last minute and bought the best Roka wetsuit that money could buy.

It arrived two days before the race and the night before I was trying it on for the first time. But when it hit the water race morning it simply took off. The science of the suit that creates optimal body position really works.

I completed the swim in 45 minutes with a full 25 minutes to spare. It was a thrill to finish the swim to know that I was going to be able to complete the race. Thank you Roka!.

The Roka Maverick Comp II is the wetsuit to end all wetsuits. I hate swimming in cold water and am generally weakest at the swim. This wetsuit boosts my speed, provides enough buoyancy to bolster my confidence in bad conditions, and makes a wide range of water temperatures comfortable.

In choppy conditions, I am so glad I bought this suit with the extra buoyancy versus the cheapest Maverick. I took it for it’s first swim in 59 degrees. I hate getting into colder pools, so I was so impressed by how warm and soft this suit is.

I had no problem getting into the open water with this on! I’ve swum up to 76 degrees in this suit and found it exceptional. Also, the arms up design is everything it’s marketed to be: I have weak shoulders (not a natural swimmer!) and don’t even notice the suit when I’m swimming.

The other tiny details are exceptional – the neck closure never rubs, the numbers tell you where to put the material on your joints, the kick out legs are ultra fast, etc. I’m 5’8” and a size 8/10 (athletic hourglass) and the size large fits well.

I wanted this wetsuit for a 14 year old Grand Daughter for Sailing. She had the same C Skins model previously and found it comfortable and practical especially as it has ankle zippers. Also the reinforced chest panel and Knee patches are great in this design.

Many models do not have the ankle zipper feature and are more difficult to get on and off. As an ex waterskier myself I realise why she likes this feature so much. She is also very happy with the colour way we ordered.

Despite the suit fitting when tried on at home, it became baggy when I got in the water and the legs filled with water. This is despite using the recommended size guide. Contacted the company but wouldn’t refund as I had already used the suit.

Bought this C-Skins Element Junior Shortie Wetsuit for my daughter to use for Paddle-boarding. Delivery timescale was great, wetsuit really nice and comfortable, true to size. It so happened it was a cold windy day when it was first used and in retrospect the long version of the suit would have been better but this was not the fault of the suit as I had assumed it would be sunny and the long one would be too hot (my bad!).
