Great chrome wheel for an older 60’s 70’s style bike, beach cruiser/low rider. The smaller 5/16 inch axle/bolt was hard to find for the older style front fork

There was not any package material in the box. The box was caved in on the end the rim had a scratch in it and it was bent.Not impressed with the packaging.

Weinmann LP18 wheels are narrower and have a better profile than other wheels in this price range (Sun CR18 rims). They’ve got stainless spokes & sealed bearings too. So, they’re an awesome value at around $155 delivered.

With lightweight 25mm clincher tubes & tires they can restore an old steel bike with 126mm spacing into a race ready machine. And, breathe new life into an old friend. (I’ve used these wheels on several restorations and, I’m very satisfied with the results.

I bought these wheels to replace an aging set on a 34-year old Nishiki mountain bike. They are single-wall wheels, but since I converted the bike to a flat bar road, they are more than adequately strong.

The hubs appear to be generic but spin very well. They came a little tight from the factory but were very easy to adjust. The front wheel arrived true, but I had to spend a few minutes truing the back one.

These wheels are lighter than the factory ones which were also single-walled, so that is a plus. A great value for the money!.

I have a 1982 road bike and needed new wheels. Most bikes this vintage take a 120mm rear hub. These wheels have a 126mm rear but it was no problem to spread the rear forks by hand enough for it to fit.

The front hub fit perfectly. My Suntour 6-speed freewheel spun on as it should. I had thought I would need to have a bike shop cold-set the frame but that was not necessary. These wheels arrived true and with good tension on the spokes.

The sealed-bearing hubs turned smoothly. The rims are good quality as are the single-butted spokes. No rim tapes are provided but that was not a problem as I was ordering new tires and tubes anyway. The only criticism I have is that the skewer nuts are plastic with a steel insert but they are standard threading and so are easily replaced if you want.

Overall, I would recommend these without reservation to someone with a classic road bike looking for new wheels.

i have ordered this wheel before as a replacement. The difference this time was that it did not come completely assembled as it had been previously. the drive cog assembly needed to be installed. I can do that but no instructions were included.

Though I installed the wheel without a problem it would have been beneficial to have a diagram or instruction sheet to check my work.

The wheel has more spokes than is usual for a modern bicycle wheel. (According to Sheldon Brown, 36 spoke wheels used to be typical, but manufacturers switched to 32 and pretended it was an upgrade; they were cheaper to make, and weaker, with only a slight weight savings.

) I kept breaking spokes on my rear wheel, so when I wanted to replace THAT with a heavier duty, 36 spoke wheel with 12g SS spokes, I wanted the front to match. Although 32 should be enough on the front, I wanted front and back to match, reducing the number of different components on my bike and simplifying matters, if and when a repair was ever needed.

Plus, I’m a fan of symmetry even if it doesn’t entirely make sense. I donated my old, wider, 32-spoke wheels and the 14g spoke wrench I had for them, resolving never again to ride a bike with inadequately strong and capable wheels.

This front wheel matched the back, came fast, works well, and all I’ll add is that I had to adjust the cones with a cone-wrench, but that’s been true of every wheel I’ve ever bought that wasn’t put together by a bike shop.

First, delivery took only one day to Emmen, Netherland. This can be compared to science fiction nowdays regarding covid-19 situation. Great job Bike-Components! Since delivery I made 140km with wheels at wet/cold conditions.

They rolling very smoothly, silently. free-wheel is almost silent. The sound of cutting through air comes at speeds above 34km/hour. They feel stiff and strong, and are very responsive to turns. Bearings seems to be sealed good after these wet 140km, didn’t see any water penetrated inside hubs.

It’s only 140km so far, and can’t say a much, but first impression is that this wheels performing very well. So, that’s why 5 stars (togheter with delivery service).

Another shimano budget wheel with an issue. This time freehub wobbling, I have contacted with Sigma straight away reporting a problem and I have to say I was disappointed how Sigma decided to resolve it.

They wanted to repair the wheel under warranty and when I said I would prefer return the wheel problems started. I have to mention I didn’t use this wheel at all, so if you find something faulty from new you have right to return and refund with no questions.

Whilst talking to Zeb I had an impression that I have to keep this wheel. I insisted on returning and refund I have been told that I will be charged £15 collecting fee which may be refunded if their Inginier confirm faulty wheel.

I have expected that Sigma will not find anything wrong with a wheel ( based on conversation over the phone) so I sent broken wheel on my own cost and attached an invoice. Sigma refunded cost of the wheel only saying that everything with the wheel is ok.

I couldn’t agree and ask for refund postage cost and they refunded 50%. I have accepted 50% but still feel screwed. This wheel was faulty, I am cyclist with a years experience and I hav had a lot wheels in my life.

Purchased to replace worn-out Shimano wheels on my older 9-speed bike. Worked great with the included spacer. I bit heaver than my previous wheels, but they work fine and roll well. No real issues and the price was good for their intended use.

I bought this wheel for use with a Wahoo KICKR Snap indoor trainer, so I can’t comment on the outdoor performance. Wheel is solidly built, and came and has remained true. Low spoke count. Fat bladed aero spokes.

Cup and cone bearings; for outdoor I would prefer cartridge bearings for ease of servicing. 9-10-11 speed compatible. Very good price-quality.

I have only been running these wheels for around a month now, but I am impressed with the build for the price. I live in Kelowna, BC, ride nearly every day, and have charged down black and double black trails with rock gardens and drops at Crawford and Kal Park and these wheels feel wonderful! Time will tell whether the Reynolds factory hubs hold up, but the bearings are common sizes.

I have a set of Stan’s Flow MK3 with White Industries hubs, and while those hubs are amazing, the front relies on proprietary bearings that have been hard to come by during the pandemic. Believe it or not, that was what drew me to purchase these carbon wheels! FYI I’m running the wheels on a 2019 Transition Smuggler.

I absolutely love these shoes, I wear them every day and that includes my shift at work too. I have wide feet and although these aren’t made for a wide fit, they conform to my feet very well. At first they’re a little tight but within 30 minutes they fit like a glove, and in a nice way.

My first pair I bought from the store and they lasted me about a year and half before deciding that I needed to replace them. I wore them to their death. I am so very happy that I found the exact model and that they are still being made, and I hope they don’t stop that.

Just recieved them today and am happy to say they fit exactly how I remember they first did when I bought my previous pair. This shoe will not disappoint, they are incredibly comfortable and I can walk around in them all day with no pain.

Carbon wheels at the right price for my cycling aptitude along with the recommendation of one friend for the Reynolds brand name. Definitely an upgrade for me: carbon fiber, weight, disk rotors and tubeless.

I’ve only ridden these wheels for 50 miles or so to date but initial impressions are v. good. Both wheels are still true to within half a millimetre or so and there was no spoke ‘pinging’ at all on first ride.

Braking performance in dry (no wet miles yet) with the supplied blue BXP pads is exceptionally good although the initial pad wear rate is high. The Oxic coated rims appear totally unmarked.

I purchased a Trek Emonda for exercise and weight-loss. I am a former century rider from the early 90?s and thought I would get into riding casually but later found myself drawn back to the riding community cycling more and more.

(Not a bad thing, right?) Anyhow, the Bontrager TLR?s served me well. I abused them. Initially I was significantly over the weight limit for those wheels and they held up fairly well. [greater than expected] When it came time to replace these wheels, I wanted DT Swiss because I was familiar with their reputation for building quality wheels.

DT Swiss are well known for producing excellent spokes and hubs used by competitor brands. Truthfully, I wanted a set of wheels with 240 hubs but that wheel set was out of my price range and ?well, I am still fond of abusing things and not really worrying about breaking anything but I digress.

I purchased these wheels a few months ago and have abused the mess out of them. They have served me well. They are a phenomenal wheel for the money. If you are looking for the best value at this price point, you should really consider this wheelset.

This rear wheel is incredibly smooth, spins up beautifully. Great for training, sportifs or social riding. I cannot fault this wheel. It’s better than MAVIC and SHIMANO wheels at the same price. I’m shocked by how good this wheel is and I will look at the high end racing wheels.

I endorse this product. There is nothing at this price that matches the quality of this wheel. Just unbelievably good, wow, I will buy this wheel again.

Lighweight quality wheelset! Rolls so smoothly on streets, perfect on fixed gear. But remember there is no braking surface on these. They are 100% worth!

Flat bladed spokes all tense with no loose ones. Well machined rim with no burrs left on it to cause punctures. Easy moving hubs. They aren’t zipp wheels by any stretch of the imagination but they are good quality budget wheels.

These are a great set of wheels for my hybrid bike.

I picked up these wheels to pair with my new 105 11sp groupset which I plan to install on my bike soon. The wheels are well made as you can expect from Shimano. these didn’t come in a retail box, but zip tied together.

However, I could find no flaw or scratches. Both wheels are true and I installed my 105 11sp casset with ease. I am waiting on Vittoria tubes and Zaffiro Pro III 23c tires to ship. Comes with pre-built wheels, black skewers, blue rim tape designed for both traditional clincher tubes and new tubeless tires.

I ordered the SLR 45 and mistakenly got sent the SL. Bike-components was very responsive and was ready to arrange for the return and replacement. After doing a bit more research between the SLR and SL, I decided that for the value the SL (eur 500 less) were good wheels for me and decided to keep.

Currently have about 200 miles on the wheels and so far have been great. Wheels have a claimed weight of 1575g, I weighted them at 1595g which is close, but important, that was with the RIM tape installed, most other manufactures give you weight without tape.

Would compare to ~1525g to other comparable wheels who give weight without rim tape. The rear hub is the ID360 which is great. It is essentially DT swiss’ ratchet system with 40 teeth vs 36. The hub sounds great.

I like it loud so decided to remove the sound dampener. I installed tubeless the Schawble Pro One TLE tires. No tools required! And was able to use my regular floor pump to inflate! Ability to ride at 65PSI has been a great added benefit.

At 65Psi the tires were true to size 27. 9c for 28c tires. The tires were loosing about 20PSI overnight, but with a bit more sealant (now 40ml) and pumping up higher to ensure tires seated well it seems that the problem has been solved.

Overall great wheels at a great value and Bike-components has the best price out there.

I got these to replace some worn out Aksiums on my winter bike, but also to give me a damp weather option for my posh bike. They look great and have that sturdy Mavic build quality you expect. I set them up tubeless from the off with a pair of Hutchinson 11storm tyres.

That was an absolute doddle. No air leaks, tyres on in 10 minutes. Ready to ride in 20. The holeless rims are a wonder, I wish my Bontrager Aeolus were as simple and reliably air tight as these 1/4 priced wheels.

On the road, typical cliches, they feel like they pick up speed well and maintain it. I’m rolling away from friends on descents. They’re stiff when putting the power down, but supple enough to help smooth the terrible British road surfaces (that’s probably the Hutchinson tyres mind).

Braking with either the Bontrager Speed Stops or TRP long drops is predictable and progressive enough to allow late and safe braking (I’ve caught my disc brakes friend out a couple of times). In summary, Mavic have once again produced a great set of wheels.

They’re cheap as well, I had considered some Hunts, but glad that I chose these because the freewheel is almost silent. If you need to upgrade some OEM wheels, buy these.

I purchased these as an upgrade to the stock wheels that arrived with my Genesis Vapour 20 CX bike. I paired them Mavic Yksion Pro UST II tyres (28 mm) and the tubeless setup was a breeze. Track pump was all that was needed.

Centre-lock rotors were a bit of a faff. The cassette lock-ring needs the standard shimano/sram small version, but the rotors need the larger diameter bottom bracket style lock-rings. Annoying if you don’t have both tools.

I’ve done maybe 150 miles on them so far. Noticeably lighter and accelerate faster than my old stock wheels. Also, without tape, tubes, etc. , about 1 kg lighter for the full wheel-set. I am using QR and the wheels had all I needed by way of adapters.

Removing the 12 mm thru-axle end caps wasn’t easy. It needs a soft-jaw vice or pipe-wrench to get them off. I paired with a SRAM PG-1130 cassette (11-36T) and tektro rotors. I can’t speak to the durability, but happy so far.

Hub is almost silent when free-wheeling.

Solid, direct feeling, tip in beautifully, but still have a bit of damping to help smooth rough road. Nice and round, spoke tension is even. Only gripe is the weight. They are listed at 1520g with DT240 hubs, 1610g with FFWD hubs.

Mine weigh 1705g. That is very heavy at this price point, regardless of how solid and well built they are. Still, 200g less than the stock Bontragers on the 2020 Emonda SL6 so overall happy enough. Just wish they had been closer to the claimed weight.

Would be 5 stars if they’d weighed 1610g.

Have a question that I bought 2 brand new Continental grand Gp5000 700×28 c TL tubeless tires and mounted on with finish line sealant. The front tire was perfect at 94 psi, but the rear tire wasn’t working well since it can’t hold the air pressure at 94 psi after 1 or 2 day later.

It drooped to 70 psi. I can’t even feel any leaking, but it’s leaking somewhere. Could you help me to check it out where the problem it? Everything was brand new and I tried Mount this tire twice, but they were all same.

Started my shopping experience with incredibly responsive and helpful customer service. Did not hesitate to place my order to receive my wheels a few days later. The sturdy package kept the wheels safe, including an amazing wheel bag.

After 400+ km, the wheels have felt very responsive during acceleration and uphills , and definitely feel a bit faster than my stock wheels at speeds exceeding 30-ish km/h. Riding with 15-20+ km/h crosswinds is probably not ideal, but I haven’t felt lack of control.

Also, wheels look great. I am very pleased with this purchase, a great upgrade for any bike.

What a fantastic set of wheels with a top notch hub and it looks incredible too. It’s also really stable in crosswinds. Very nice balance of stiffness and compliance. I’m on the heavier side (180 pounds) and the ride quality is nothing short of plush with enough stiffness when climbing out of the saddle and to get that nice feel for the road/gravel.

It is really efficient in windy conditions.My average speed is 5 km higher.I am very happy with my purchase and the wheels look great on my bike.
