Fireball is one of my favorite flavored whiskeys! It’s cinnamon spice and everything nice. That has a smooth consistency it’s kind of thick. I wouldn’t serve cold it has an amazing cinnamon flavor almost like big red bubblegum in liquid form.

It also has a little bite to it. You will absolutely know that it is whiskey. I love it with ginger ale,Dr Pepper, cream soda, and also to kick up my Irish coffee.

I was straight edge until about a year and a half ago. Though I’ve done my fair share of partying growing up as a punk and constantly going to gigs and get together, I was almost 23 when I had my first drink.

My whole life I grew up hearing how fireball was disgusting and just a cheap buzz. I agree to disagree. I like the taste and it gets the job done. If you don’t mind “spicy” flavors (think big reds) then seriously consider giving this a try on a night out.

I’ve been trying different bourbons for about the past year, attempting to discover what fits my palette best. I’m a huge Widow Jane 10-year fan. I must admit that considering the simple hints of cherry and vanilla that hit strongest at the beginning, ending with a buttery smooth caramel tinge, the complexity is super impressive.

Especially considering this price point. I drink my bourbon with a couple cubes of ice. I’ve had all sorts of bourbons from Four Roses, EH Taylor, Blantons (amazing BTW), to Heavens Door and Angels Envy over the past 6-8 months.

Bulleit doesn’t put them all to shame but dang if it doesn’t give each of them a run for their money. Whatever Bulleit does in their distillation process, it works, and works wonders. There’s a reason this bourbon is so highly rated by customers.

Do yourself a favor and grab a bottle. Even if it’s just your Friday night mixer. For an extra $4 over the Jack Daniels, I can only imagine how much better this would be. for those who like their bourbon mixed.

Right now, the Persian gulf is held up by supply chain issues and the fine sand used to make the bottles is hard to come by so this will be in low supply. Personally I think that this bourbon is better and will surpass Jack Daniels as the premier brown liquor of the u.

So, I consider myself a bit of a whiskey snob. I like my single malts, bourbons, and Irish whiskey, but I find myself turning back to my good ol’ 7 and 7 when I’m serving myself and friends. This whisky is Americana culture, class, and history.

It’s great for cocktails, and it ain’t bad by itself either. It’s inexpensive, but it isn’t cheap. I’m serious, if you want quality, bang for your buck, and taste, go for a 7 and 7 over Jack and Coke.

Seagrams has always been my go to whiskey. I like it with a slash of lemon lime soda. It’s not rough or harsh tasting. I believe it’s a great value that doesn’t need improvement. It’s affordable, not expensive.

On 12/24 I placed an order for two items. I received an email that they were going to be shipped about five days after purchase. However, the tracking info was NOT available or accurate. After emailing the company for a more accurate date on the item, Jessica replied “ Hey Edith, Thank you for reaching out.

Your order is scheduled to ship on Monday. Apologies for the delay — our most recent shipment of Hibiki Harmony was delayed in cargo. ” I am annoyed because none has emailed me with an update. No follow up call to share the status.

I have already paid for an item that I have not received which was a birthday gift for my fiancé but had been delayed so long that now I have to consider an alternate gift. Sadly, I’m not sure if I’ll be ordering from this company in the future.

A firey, rough pale imitation of the original Hibiki made to cash in on a previously legendary name. lacking any of the refinement of the original year marked versions the nose and palette is full with acrid alcohol notes that overpower the subtle flavours of honey, black pepper and wood smoke that are barely present.

I’d recommend trying Cardhu Gold Reserve or Tenjaku if you want something close to the old Hibiki experience without hysterical up marking.

As being a guy who normally goes for Jameson Irish whiskey, I ran across Proper No. Twelve and decided to give it a try. I read a review by some “professional” blow hard saying it was less than expected.

his over the top explanation basically told me that he is not a fan of Connor McGregor and that his whiskey would pay for that slight of prejudice. My personal opinion of the Proper No. Twelve is, smooth, rich, with a spice finish.

It actually reminded me of a Havana made Monte Cristo No. 4 cigar finish. I could taste the honey and very little vanilla but it’s there. Flavor: I actually like the Proper over my normal Jameson. I like the spicy finish.

It may be a sin to say, but I think I like the Proper No. Twelve a bit better. It is smooth with a bite. To me it has flavor, texture, and it’s smooth. I like it quite a bit, but everyone has different tastes.

I am also a fan of the cork topper! Being the non- conformist punk rocker type, I am going to go with the Proper No. Twelve over the Jameson I have been drinking for many years now.

I had seen this bottle on the shelf for a while a decided to give it a try. Gotta say for the price I’m disappointed. A good whiskey is layered and has several levels of taste to sort through. This whiskey is shallow, and while fairly mild in taste, leaves the palette lacking.

No decernible taste profile. The first hint of disappointment comes with with the bouquet, which renders a harsh, alcohol forward fragrance. Not the oaky or sweet notes one hopes to acquire from a good whiskey.

I tried several glasses of this stuff, both on the rocks and neat hoping that my initial opinions would change, unfortunately they grew darker with each glass. This is an average to below average whiskey, marketed as a mid to higher end whiskey.

The only cool thing about this bottle is the bottle which looks like a hipsterized vintage 1920’s bottle. Good looking on the shelf until you open it. Even mixing it with soda or ginger ale leaves a harsh and astringent taste.

You could put sugar in gasoline and have a similar tasting product. Ever since Jay Z became a billionaire selling mediocre champagne and cognac, there’s been a race to see what celebrity could make the most money by endorsing a liquor.

Unfortunately the result is a bunch of gross, nasty junk. Anyone who argues that Tito’s is a luxury vodka would probably enjoy proper 12. Anyone who doesn’t drink jagermeister in shot form on a night out would find this Proper 12 offensive and terrible.

Sorry, just calling it like I taste it. This is a chemical cash grab. Skip this and if you must get Jameson, Tullimore Dew or Glen Moray. Better yet, for around the same price grab some Glennfidich or Langevin.

Tasting Notes Nose: Strong citrus scentes in the beginning, however milder than in the 17 year old Hibiki. Mellow floral notes, malty sweetness. Almost no peat smoke detectable. Taste: Powerful alcohol taste at the first sip.

No peat overlays the gentle sweetness, malty warmth and hints of apricot, spreading out pleasingly oily inside the mouth. Finish: Sweet and long lasting. Floral and malty. Delicate banana notes. Spreads out comfortably in mouth and throat, and from there to there rear of the nose.

Lasts very long. Lovely! Comment: After the first sip the dominant alcohol has fully disappeared and the Hibiki gets rounder, smoother and sweeter. The 17 year old disappointed me a little bit. The 21 years old Hibiki instead is wonderfully balanced and leaves a great impression.

This Japanese whiskey is really good!

The big mistake is to compare this whiskey to a “wheater” bourbon. There is very little corn in this Bernheim, which disqualifies it as a bourbon. Very nice and honey-sweet, a little bitterness. Almost fruity.

Great length, especially with a few drops of water. A great alternative for when you want a whiskey, but not in the mood for a heavy-handed bourbon, or a rye. Word of caution: pairing any whiskey with a cheese platter and then pan the product is certainly not the way to add credibility to a tasting.

I tried a bottle last month. I enjoyed the winter wheat and barley cereal flavors–this is a very mild whiskey, so for fans of high rye style bourbons, this may not be your whiskey. In my opinion it’s lightly sweet and elegant.

Super smooth too. However, as with many recently well reviewed spirits–my last bottle was $24. 99 and now I see TW has jumped the price up to $29. 99. and at that price it only makes sense if you want to have something different around.

You could achieve similar results with others for a bit less.

I’ve had this bottle for years (gassed to keep it fresh) and revisited it today. Wow it’s nice, any bourbon lover with a lean toward the wheat will enjoy sipping on this one. Beautiful nose reminds me of a Parker’s Heritage wheat bourbon and the palate is awesome, medium finish and makes me want a backup bottle on the next TotalWine trip.

Everyone on here crying about Jim Beam being terrible are snobs that are overlooking the fact that this is a low cost, introductory level bourbon. It’s purpose is to serve as a starting point for those who have never tried bourbon, as it is very mellow in all aspects.

It will mix well in any cocktail for this same reason. Those of you complaining need to get off your high horse; obviously there are much better options, But for what it’s worth, it does the job. This is the bourbon that you buy as a round of shots at the bar, not what I’m going to pour neat and sip on at home.

Hank Jr. sang about Jim Beam in many of his songs, and if that doesn’t count for something I’ll be damned. Overall a fantastic cheap bourbon.

It tastes OK. Not as sweet, smooth and warm as Knob Creek, and only 80 proof rather than 100, but Jim Beam is not as expensive. It competes well against Jack Daniels, by my standards. It’s not packaged as fancily as Blanton’s.

My most recent bottle came in a plastic bottle with no handle. Another concession to cost so might be targeting a cost-sensitive audience.

Love this bourbon. I really like high rye bourbons and this is the best yet. You can definitely taste the heat and spice of the rye, yet the bourbon is very smooth and sweet. The best of both worlds.

Well worth the price. The Copper Still High Rye was my favorite, but now this is the choice. Highly recommended.

I came across this Total Wine store pick and decided to roll the dice. I have enjoyed Old Scout’s 10 year bourbon and was intrigued by the description of this product – a blend of 12 year bourbon from Indiana (I suspect MGP bourbon) and 6 year American Whiskey from Tennessee (I suspect George Dickel) bottled at 53.

5% (107 proof). I have had three separate pours and have enjoyed the whiskey each time, but in my opinion, proportionally, there is far more 6-year old whiskey in this blend than 12-year bourbon. There is a strong youthful ‘prickle’ (roughness) on the nose and palate.

This is not entirely an unappealing trait, but at the $40 price-point, I personally feel it is a bit too rough. If the price was $30 or less, I would give this whiskey a fourth star. Neat, both the nose and taste have a strong rye influence.

I get a fair amount of spice and butterscotch as well as a strong alcohol punch. There is also a mild smell of wood, but no where near as strong as a typical bourbon. Adding water does help mellow the youthful prickle/roughness and alcohol punch, but with water a very slight woody-astringent and even wet cardboard smell crept up.

The finish was medium length for me with rye-spiciness and a slight sweetness lingering pleasantly after each sip. This is a fun whiskey to try, but in my opinion it is overpriced. For $30 this would be a fun purchase to have on the bar to taste alongside other bourbons and Tennessee whiskeys, but at $40 there are more well-rounded choices on the shelf.

I buy the Jim beam fire for my wife because she loves it & says it’s really smooth. We have had a difficult time locating it and have checked several liquor stores. They all say it’s on back order. Anyway, I was able to find two bottles at yet another liquor store.

I poured my wife a glass over ice which is how she likes it. She thought I gave her something else. She said it doesn’t even taste like Jim beam fire. Did you change your recipe?, if so, PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!!!!! she said it’s awful !!!! It doesn’t taste the same!!!.

My collection was missing a Campbeltown, and I’ve heard great things about Springbank, including its being family owned and operated. It’s lightly peated and easy to drink, featuring citrus and grassy notes.

I think this is a very underrated scotch, and while Campbeltown’s have faded away recently, this is certainly worthy of being added to your collection. The one downside is the price, which has experienced a rather steep hike lately.

$84. 99 for a 10 year is a lot, especially when you can get other high quality 10 years like Talisker, Laphroaig, Ledaig and Glengoyne for significantly less. Still, if you are looking to add a Campbeltown to your collection, Springbank is the way to go.

I bought this a month ago after many positive reviews on-line. Have enjoyed other Springbanks, which is considered one of the last “hand-crafted” distilleries. The 10 year old is my perfect profile – sweet fruits & slight smoke.

Not overpowering peat. It gets better as you move down the bottle, more rounded. I like to add a few drops of water.

I’m not a trained taster, so take this with a grain of salt, but this is a splendid single malt. The nose is an enticing, fruity mingling of apples and oak. Palette is creme caramel and apples with undertones of oak and pine and a trace of smoke.

Finish is a lingering medley of apples, oak, and smoke. After experiencing Springbank 10, I’m dying to get a taste of Springbank 15.

It is a gift so I have no idea what it tastes like. I will find out when he opens the bottle. Service from store was excellent. Arrived earlier than I expected.

The Tasters are no where to be found in the area I live. This has a lot a flavor and worth it. The shipping was great. I will be ordering this again.
