20 Best White Eye Pencil (2022 Updated)

I absolutely love the black one!!!! It glides on so smooth, one swipe on the waterline and I’m done. It comes off easily with micellar water too. I have had a couple of issues with different colors, they have gone on chunky and broke several times, but I swear up and down about the black one.

It must have been bad batches with the different colored ones (I had the light purple one that was awful, the bronze one is decent but a little chunky). They just need to come out with a DARK GREEN (the olive one is atrocious).

But the black one is my holy grail.

I purchased this eyeliner and loved it so much I now have a variety of colours in the same range! It’s so soft to go on that you don’t need to apply any pressure when drawing it on, I love how it just softly sweeps over my eyes.

I usually apply to just by bottom lash line but if Im Going out out I sometimes apply to the top lash line too. The only downside to this style of pencil is that it’s so soft you wouldn’t want to do the cat eye effect with it, as it will just smudge in the crease of your eye.

However if your just looking to wear it on your lash line like I do, it’s fantastic! Also because the kohl is so soft it’s really easy to blend for if you want more of a smokey look. I sometimes apply 2 colours and then smudge them slightly for a colourful smokey eye look.

Been using this pencil many years was really good before. Now it dosnt last. It smuges , the led snapps each time i sharpen it so in total the pencil dose not even last a week. Not happy at all. And the price is rediculous now for what it is.

Paying £4 a time when i purchase in boots and superdrug. Why dose everything have to be changed (for cheeper make materials ).

The best long lasting eyeliner that I have ever purchased. Been using since I was 15 and still using it years later. Tried several different brands but most fade after a little while, but this one never does.

Easy against your skin simply glides without any pressure. A yes from me most definitely.

I’ve been using this liner for years. I loved everything about it. Something has changed! it’s hard to apply, not smooth, it’s like wax. Very little product , liner breaks off easily. I bought the package with two thinking I was getting a good deal, the second liner didn’t work, wouldn’t advance the liner, I finally got it to work right, used it twice and then it was empty! I don’t know what cover girl did to my favorite eye liner but I won’t buy it again! My daughter told me the same thing about the way the liner is so different.

we had the same complaints and prior to that conversation we didn’t talk about the liner. But she had the same feelings as I did. if this eye liner would work like it used to, I’d recommend it. But not now.

I have been using the Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner pencil for years. It glides on easily, stays on all day, and doesn’t run. I love not having to sharpen this pencil. I would have given five stars, but I do not care for the smudging tool.

It falls off when used and doesn’t blend well. However, I love the blending tool of CoverGirl’s Perfect Blend pencil. With both of these products, I get the look I want. If CoverGirl people are reading this, they could actually come up with one perfect eyeliner by combining the Perfect Point with the Perfect Blend smudging tool.

I bought this eyeliner as a two pack and paid around $10. In my opinion, it’s very hard to use. In order to keep the tip from crumbling off, it needs to be so low to the pencil that the plastic starts to scrape the eyelid as I’m finishing.

Not sure if my pencils were old or the actual makeup inside the tube was hollow…it just crumbles way too easily (and a crumbling soft black material is awful when it lands on your clothes or carpet and you can barely see it to pick it up!!) and both pencils have the same problem.

I’ve used many types of pencils and have never had this experience. I’ll use them up because I’m a cheapskate but I use far too many shameful words as I’m putting this stuff on!.

I absolutely love this eyeliner, so much that I purchased 3 colours of it, the Jet Black, Deep Burgundy, and Rich Brown. What I like about this eyeliner is the richness of colour that it has, it glides on so smoothly and gives my eyes a pop of gorgeous colour.

I’ve tried many eyeliners but unfortunately, many of them are dry. The only downfall with this eyeliner is that it fades off during the day, maybe it’s because I have oiler eyelids, so reapplication during the day is a must, for me at least.

Otherwise, it’s a great product! :).

Love this! I chose the Burgundy colour, the pencil packaging seems purple but it comes out the perfect shade of Burgundy (a warm red/brown) that makes my green eyes with a splash of hazel pop. The kohl glides on easily, creating a smooth line & gives good coverage but I admit it doesn’t fully stay on (full disclosure, not much does as I use an eye cream on my eyelids at night due to dermatitis).

It doesn’t irritate the sensitive skin around my eyes & I would definitely buy it again.

I was so excited when I applied this liner. It was the perfect subtle plum color, which is hard to find (especially in a matte non-shimmery finish). It applied easily. It was sharp enough to get a nice fine line, and then fill in for more intensity.

The sponge tip smudged the top line for a blended look. It felt like it was a good quality sponge that would last the life of the pencil (unlike some I’ve had that fell off). To me this performed as well as any high end department store pencil that I’ve used in the past before developing allergic reactions and before switching to clean cosmetics.

Because of it’s performance, beautiful color, and good value for the price, I am giving this five stars. Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction a couple hours after applying this. However, over the past year I seem to have developed a reaction to every pencil I’ve tried.

I used to be able to use any eye product, but now I struggle to find anything I can use close to my eyes. This is not specific to this formulation so I don’t see it as a reflection on this liner. Most users would probably very much enjoy this product.

Pro MUA here. When it comes to products, I use high-end brands with price tags to match, along with drugstore options – both new and old. In my mind, if it works, it works – regardless of the name on the label.

That being said, this product is definitely on my list of favorites. The small felt tip applicator allows for EXCELLENT precision and detail, along with the ability to get a wider coverage area to save time filling in those wings.

It’s a beautiful finish and wears well throughout the day. It holds up fairly well to watery eyes, but I wouldn’t consider it waterproof. If you have allergies or tend to have issues with liner lasting throughout the day due to excess moisture, I would probably pass on this formula; HOWEVER, finding a true waterproof – or even water-resistant – formula in a liquid liner is a near impossible task.

Some liquid liners have a tendency to dry down too quickly after applying on the skin, causing either cakey-ness or where the thin eyelid skin will almost “reject” it if you try to apply multiple layers or heaven forbid, try to fix a mistake.

Luckily, this formula is NOT one of those. It seems to be easy to work with and works well with a multitude of skin types and textures. I also love how it dries down. It doesn’t crack or look dry, which is a common issue with many matte formulas.

I LIVE for the felt tip applicator, and I feel it lasts FOREVER! Definitely recommend – especially for the price point. *PRO-TIP* When the liner runs out or dries out, use tweezers to remove the felt tip, flip it around and insert the other end into the pen.

You’ll get sooo many more uses out of it, and the tip itself will feel like a brand new liner.

I remember these were pretty popular during the matte lipstick heyday; they provided a comfortable alternative to crackly, drying liquid lipsticks. However, given the market of K-beauty velvet lip tints and the like, I just don’t see these appealing to me personally anymore.

The color transfers easily, which is to be expected with a soft lip cream product, but even then the actual product isn’t very long-lasting without eating and drinking. Additionally, it doesn’t wear well, with feathering being a common issue especially for the darker colors.

I got Stockholm, and because it’s a lighter shade, didn’t really cover my lips and left a weird ghostly look. Probably a problem on my end with choosing a shade, but it wasn’t really buildable to a solid color to cover my natural lip color, which would’ve solved the issue.

The cream itself kept slipping and sliding around, too. NYX has a great color selection, and I know these are still quite popular for many! But for me personally, I don’t see them working into my collection when I have such a range of longer-lasting soft lip cream formulas on hand.

Quite possibly the BEST eyeliner I’ve ever owned (and I’ve been testing out eyeliners since 2010). Having tried most drugstore eyeliners and a select few high end ones, I can confirm this is the one I would repurchase time and time again, because it’s an amazing price, with the quality matching $40+ eyeliners at Sephora.

Firstly, the felt tip NEVER dries out. The only time I’ve had to replace it is because it ends up leaking or the tip wears out, which usually happens after a few months (4-5 months on average for me).

Second, the tip is the perfect length – not too long that it’s awkward, and not to short that it’s hard to make a line. Third, the pigment is perfect. This is a jet black and stands out on my pale skin.

I’ve never had flaking, and never had any come off (I don’t wear waterproof, so that’s amazing) I’ve turned so many people onto this eyeliner and it’s my ride or die. I will likely never switch to another one.

I’ve tried out the brown colour too, and it’s pretty decent except sometimes it’s a little more dry. The black is perfect though. Do NOT buy another eyeliner without trying this one first.

I am a major Jane Iredale fan, using more than a dozen products from this terrific line. But as much as I want to love this eye pencil, I am disappointed in this one. On the positive side: Colors are nice — the taupe is natural and great for everyday wear — and the pencil doesn’t irritate sensitive eyes.

However — the color smears not long after application, and doesn’t last more than a couple of hours if you wear other makeup near your eyes, including concealer. Definitely not waterproof or smear proof.

That’s a deal breaker for me.

I bought this eyeliner in Midnight Blue with the hope of being able to wear pencil eyeliner that doesn’t make my eyes itch. I have tried so many other pencil eyeliners ‘for sensitive skin’ but none of them have worked for me.

I love the color of this pencil, its silky application, and most of all, the fact that it does not make my eyes burn. The downside is that the color transfers to my upper eyelid and fades quickly (I have hooded eyes, for reference).

It could be a good option if you are going for a less defined, smoky eye look. I don’t think I will buy other colors.

Love these JI eye pencils. They flow on so smoothly. I use the pencils on my lower lids to help my eyes to pop a little. I’ve used both the black and the Midnight colors. As I have blue eyes, the Midnight color really helps to emphasize my eyes.

Love this product and it lasts a long time. Highly recommend these Pencils AND the sharpener that JI sells to help keep a point.

I was presently surprised when I used the Givenchy Magic Kohl eye liner Pencil, it works really good. It gives you that perfect black pigment to create a cat eye and I also liked the result from using it in my water line.

If you like Kohl eyeliner pencils then you will enjoy this one!.

Very nice pencil. I use this on the inner corner of my eyes and it’s very vibrant and long lasting. Goes on well and is safer for your eyes. The packaging is great , I’ve used this for a long time now and would carry on buying.

Givenchy eyeliner pencils are the Rolls Royce of eyeliners! I have tried them all, and this pencil does it all. I wont list everything it does, but a savvy make up person would never be disappointed.

It is the best! It goes on smoothly. It never fades. It stays put, no matter the weather. It remains true until you remove it at night. A joy to use!.

If you’ve never tried this brand, you’re missing out! Their products are SO inexpensive, but incredible! Many of their products I find far superior to luxury alternatives. If you’re going to try one product, go for these Kajal Eye Pencils or the Gel Eye Liners – both are usually available at Ulta.

I have almost every shade, and don’t use anything else! They are HIGHLY pigmented, glide on effortlessly and have surprising staying power. I have used hundreds of eye liners, both drug store brands and luxury, and have never found any that compare to these.

The fact that they cost about $3 is crazy! My only complaint (if you can call it that) about the brand is that it isn’t more widely available – Ulta is the only store that I know of that stocks it, and the selection is subpar.

They don’t come close to carrying all of the products, and never carry/stock all of the colors. However, Essence’s website is lovely to shop, and access to the entire line is well worth the small shipping fee!.

At times, after applying a full face of makeup, I used to stare in the mirror and ask, “What am I missing?”. For the longest time, I was just happy with my makeup enough to do what I got to do. I went out with a friend one day who, after expressing my occasional discomfort and feeling of incompleteness, recommended I try the white Eyeliner Pencil To Go from the Sephora Collection.

I pondered the idea, looked it up, and found the price extremely affordable. I had a moment of hesitancy due to the price being so low, but then I decided to buy it because Sephora has not let me down before.

Applying it was like a dream, not too creamy, not too dry, it was an almost perfect combination of chalky (wherein you can blend it evenly), and smooth (no need to go over again). I find it makes my eyes pop when I use it on my waterline.

I will definitely be repurchasing this.

First of all, this is a mini size!!! Did not realize that until I got it in the mail. Lol just so you know if you’re reading reviews before you buy. It is good though! I’m out of practice at liner and it was easy to use, it glided on beautifully without me having to apply hardly any pressure.

That being said, it did get a little smudgy at the ends halfway through the day and I work an office job… lol. Would still recommend to a friend and will probably purchase again and in different colours :).

I bought the navy blue, I just needed to buy something small so I could redeem my birthday gift but I ended up loving this! I didn’t have blue, and this looks great when I’m wearing jeans. It makes my eyes pop.

Glides on very smoothly. Nice consistent color. And it’s the perfect size for make up bags! No trying to shove it in corner to corner because it’s too long. For the people complaining it’s too small—they clearly didn’t read the product info.

Idk why they’d think a full size Sephora product would only be $6 anyway! It’s about 5” in length and fits in my to go makeup bag perfectly. I’d stock up on these in every shade. Highly recommend.

So I lost my other eyeliner and needed some in a hurry. I came across this in the beauty supply store. The liner is hard and it took forever for a transfer but not as well as I expected. I gave it 2 stars because it eventually did go on.

I would not buy again.

Love love love these liners and they are only a $1. 🗣DO YOU HEAR ME A DOLLAR!!! They are creamy and apply just like NYX or MAC to me. I have only seen these at the beauty supply store or on their website, IG etc.

Comes in over 20 colors, you could buy the auto pencils or reg pencils. Great for beginners.

An inexpensive alternative to this dry lip liners. This product has such a nice consistency and is very pigmented that I was able to apply it like a lip crayon and skipped applying anything else. Now the only reason this didn’t get a full 5 stars is because it’s not an easy product to get a hold of in stores.

Okay so I had to tag this cus I couldn’t find the exact product. But the picture I had got those products if a Christmas gift set. L. A colors brand… from cvs for $10. Everything has a nice color to it.

The brand ain’t all that but it’s something.

Perfect, affordable liner for everyday wear. I use mine on my water line and sometimes like to bring it up to my lids. Easy to use and sharpen and super affordable. Lasts months too! Great liner to get the job done quickly and effectively.

Have used this product for a couple of weeks, have to say it’s so easy to apply / no dragging. My pencils prior were becoming a night mare they wear wearing down very quickly and having to sharpen was a pain.

They would sharpen unevenly and a few times I would scratch my eye. I need waterproof as my skin gets greasy thru the day and I have developed hooded eyelids so the product would bleed on to eyelid. I do apply under the upper eyelid which can be awkward to glide the product across lash line.

This eyeliner does it effortlessly. very happy.

I was searching for a new nude eyeliner to put in my waterline as the one I was using got discontinued. I was a bit surprised at the limited selection available & chose this pencil in the shade Toffee.

I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of this, it is exactly what I wanted for a cheaper price than I thought I’d have to pay for a good one! Really great for putting in the waterline to make you look more “awake”/tone down any redness.

This product hasn’t irritated my eyes either. Will 100% repurchase this when run out!.

I was quite pleased with the bright colour, although it’s not as bright as cobalt to my thinking. However, the pencil is quite hard and doesn’t glide on easily. I bought it to replace an Urban Decay blue kohl pencil which is discontinued but it just doesn’t compare.

I won’t be buying it again.

Lid and Sharpening Issues. The last eyeliner I bought was the improved formula with the new lid that has a sharpener. The consistency of the eyeliner seemed improved smoother and easier to apply. The sharpener lid was too loose and would not stay on.

I still had the lid from the previous one to use, but Im not a fan of that one either because the pencil goes so far inside that it squishes the end if Im not careful Ive never had this issue with any other eyeliner – the lid is usually shaped to stop at the neck of the pencil giving enough room for the tip not to touch the lid.

If the sharpening lid is what caused the price to increase, then I wish it was optional. I have a sharpener and do not need a built-in one.

Sensitive Eyes. This liner goes on so smooth, which I love because I do not like when my lid drags with application of other eyeliners. I also have extremely sensitive eyes. Through much trial and error I think one of the issues I have with makeup is titanium Dioxide greatly irritates my eyes.

Received this in a subscription box. This has beautiful color and is almost as smooth as the — not quite as there is some tugging, but not a lot. It’s not enough to be uncomfortable or difficult to work with.

Not 100% smudge proof (some transfer to my finger). I’ll probably stick with setting spray + eyeshadow as a favorite eyeliner, with UD being my first favorite pencil liner, but this is pretty decent.

The price is reasonable for it too.

I cannot say enough, how much I LOVE this pencil. I use it in my waterline, and it always goes on smooth opaque in one swipe! I recieved it in a subscription, so I’m not sure of the price/value, but I would definitely buy again! I have had it almost a year, it doesn’t take much to sharpen it so it is lasting a long time.

From the reviews I wasn’t expecting much, but i decided to purchase this product because I wanted to try out a new eyeliner for cheap and try out a new technique. Thought that it would be best if i tried it out on a cheaper product just in case if I didn’t like how it all looked on myself.

I purchased this colour and also the purple one and I have to say that they’re not amazing, they aren’t too pigmented so you have to apply a few coats for you to get the desired darkness which can be annoying.

It could also be a plus if you’ve never used eyeliner because then it gives you the flexibility to mess up a little without having to really fix anything. after using it a few times it definitely does what I want which is to have a lighter less noticeable application but still something.

If that’s the look that you’re going for then this product might work for you. If you’re looking for something bolder, then I would recommend trying something else as this is going to take too long to get that bold, dark look you’re after.

I also want to mention that it does not come with a sharpener which is something that would have been useful to know before buying, but i’m not complaining since I got this product for $4. It does stay on all day which is nice since no one wants to find out that half their makeup has come off throughout the day.

Those who love doing smokey eye effects or even just a simple liner, this will do just that.

The color stays on long and it’s a great small on the go size. I actually like buying this instead of a full size because I don’t use fun colored liner often and it would be a waste of money to use something with a larger price tag- maybe every once in a while.

Although it’s $6-7 and you could probably get a drugstore colored liner for the same price, I do like the Sephora formula of their pencil liners. It’s easy to sharpen, creamy yet somewhat slightly stiff but also easy to apply and smudge if necessary.

It’s a great addition to your makeup only if you need it and a good investment because the wearpower of these lasts pretty long. If you find that you want more product, you should probably look into drugstore options of similar colors.

This Milani eyeliner pencil is my absolute favorite type of makeup that I own. Ever since the very first time that I tried this eyeliner I was blown away and it still hasn’t let me down. I use the very black eyeliner pencil to do all different styles of eyeliner for my eyes and it works perfectly.

You don’t have to go over your eyes a bunch of times trying to achieve the look you’re going for. This eyeliner gives you a a sturdy hold with a strong but not rough point to perfectly put on your eyeliner.

When I wear this eyeliner my makeup look lasts all day long without getting messed up. Thank you Milani for making your so amazing !.

I’m was blown away with how much this looks like liquid eyeliner however not being one. This affordable, no sharpening required eyeliner pencil is very creamy and smooth when you apply it. You don’t have to apply a lot of pressure at all when you are drawing on your line, and it glides on so well.

This does start out really strong for me and then over the day it does fade a bit and get a little smudgy. I find that towards the end of the day if I am going out after work I will have to take the time to re-apply another line in order to get the same look that I had before I left the house in the morning.

This overall is a very good deal for the price you pay.

Amazing product for the price. I have it in a brown shade and use it when I’m going to work or looking natural. It’s easily spreadable so I line my outer corners and then use a brush to form it into a wing.

It’s super easy! I’d repurchase. The only con is that since it’s easily smudgeable, it’s not that long lasting (as a wing) but it’s great above your lash line!.

I am in love!!! It is suuuper thin. Might take some getting used to for some. But it’s amazing for me. My eyes are hooded on the outer half so smudging is a concern and I can’t wear thick eyeliner or it will be all over my lids.

Perfect for tight lining- my eyelids are oily and I usually have to use a good primer and matte eyeshadow, even for liquids like benefit and Stila, but I was going out to do some quick grocery shopping so I didn’t bother- I ended up being out for 10 hours, and it hasn’t budged yet!! It is super dark, matte, and beautiful for a thin winged line to mimic eyelashes.

It stays on the water line if that’s what you’re into! I put a couple dots on the bottom lash line and it didn’t smudge at all. Be very careful with it- it has potential to break easily but I find it worth it for my hooded greasy eyes!!!.

This is the first time that I have bought a Shiseido Microliner Ink and I’m still experimenting with it. I have in the past used Laura Mercier Tight Liner ( a solid block of cake eyeliner which needs to be mixed with water and applied with a fine brush) and after reading a review by India Knight in the Sunday Times Style Magazine I decided to try Microliner Ink pencil.

I purchased the navy blue shade which is fine but I fine that the line it leaves on my eyelids is not always smooth and even despite using a eye primer first. I will continue to try out the Microliner but at the moment I think that I will return to my previous product, which is quick and easy to use with a lovely smooth finish everytime.

I have been using olive green eye liners for years but since I switched over to natural and vegetarian-friendly products I’ve found my options a bit limited. After the mailing costs for my usual eyeliner from the US shot up I decided to look for an alternative and I’m so pleased I came across this.

The colour is lovely – a bit darker than my previous eye liner. It’s soft so doesn’t drag and just lightly patting it creates a really nice subtle, smokey look. It’s quite a bit cheaper than the product I was buying before, especially given the difference in postage, but I like it a lot better.

I’m very happy and will definitely be back for more!.

I use Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner same format twist up at £21 a pop so thought I would try another brand, not having much faith that it would be any good being so much cheaper. WOW. Great eyeliner, lovely colour, stays put all day, costs pennies in comparison.

Have read some great reviews on this brand and love the service from just my look. Free delivery, everything comes really well packaged so no fear of damage and quick postage.

Really loved the colour & softness. It did break a couple of times so only twist up a little at a time. Because of this it didn’t last very long. But for the money it was a very good buy.

Great colours & I have bought a few,but they don’t seem to go on evenly & do not llast anywhere near 20 hours,let alone being waterproof! Pretty to wear during the day,but for me,no good for an evening out or to swim wearing them.

I love these Shiseido Kajal InkArtist’s. They are a 4-in-1 liner, eyeshadow, brow color and kajal that creates striking looks with 12 hour waterproof wear and a seamless glide. It’s smudge, crease, water and tear proof (I tested that last one).

The soft, graduated point is precise enough to create a thin, smooth line along the inner rim of the eye and also wide enough to be easily colored/ shaded across the entire lid. There is a detachable sharpener and a built in sponge to blend for a smoky finish.

I love this because you can do a smoky eye or an “undone” messy look, or it’s precise enough to do a clean, crisp look. It’s free of oil, fragrance and talc, so perfect for sensitive eyes like mine and I’ve had no issues using in my waterline.

It’s also good for oily eyelids. It’s comes in several beautiful colors and they are so easy to use and you can create so many different looks. Highly recommend!! The black is essential for the waterline (if you use the color black there) and for a smoky eye.

It is slightly opaque, so it doesn’t look “overdone”, but you can build it up. I will mention again how easy these are to work with. This is seriously the perfect one and done product for your eyes! And, the green is such a gorgeous color and I’m so picky about my greens.

This is a true green that leans a bit towards forest green. It’s great on the waterline or as a wing on the lid for a pop of color, or to use as a shadow and blend. It really makes eyes pop!.

I couldn’t love the texture and color of this more. I am in love. The color is vibrant and the smudging is sexy and smoky. So why 2 stars? I used the “built in sharpener” and it destroyed the pencil.

Maybe this needs to go in the freezer before sharpening, but the pencil is so soft (which is why it is so gorgeous), that it can not be sharpened with the junky sharpener included. So save yourself the heartbreak.

I have no idea how to sharpen it-and Shishedo’s “How To” YouTubes are less than worthless. Buy this is you love smudgy liner, do not buy it if you want a thick precise line.

The quality of the pencil is great. It is long-lasting, glides on smoothly and looks intense. However, I felt that the green was really quite dark, even in bright light and natural sunlight it looks more like a very dark pine green that is little different from anthracite grey, so not as vibrantly green as shown in photos here.

For reference, my skin tone and eye colour are very similar to the model’s who wears this as an eyeliner in one of the photos. I bought this pencil because of what I thought the colour would be so am a bit disappointed.

However, I’d recommend this for the quality and would be open to trying it in other shades.
