20 Best White Ink Pen (2022 Updated)

The Signo UM153 range are excellent pens to use with a cutting machine pen holder. The white is especially effective on black cardstock. Care must be taken to position the nib so it does not drag back across the card as it returns to its base position.

The major downside to the Signos is that they do not like to be left unused. I have just had to throw out all of mine because I had not used them for several months. Heating the ink did not work and I am now convinced that regular use is the key.

These pens are very comfortable and smooth to use. However, buying refills for them in any colour other than black (and even those aren’t sold by Ryman) is very difficult! For this reason I’ve knocked off a star as being able to buy refills and save on waste is a high priority for me.

Arteza, you rock! I am amazed again at your products. I found these ‘WHITE’ gel pens to be one of the crowning moments of many of my water color painting as I would use these gel pens to art stars and highlights to complete my final colors in many paints.

you have to be patient and work with the pen applicator as it Will dry on the end and can be difficult to restart the flow of color. I have found this to be true with every brand of gel pen I have used.

I rarely use gel pens and prefer ‘fineliners’ for added color in my paints, but for a white this is as good as it gets. And if you make a mistake there are several ways to cover it up, it’s very forgiving.

The ink was nice and thick and did help me add highlights to my artwork. I wish the ink was easier to get started coming out the nibs, though – I would have to keep slapping the tip against a hard surface to get the ink to flow.

I wish someone would make the ‘perfect’ type of ink that is similar to ‘White-Out’ typewriter fluid – very smooth, liquid, easy to apply, and easy flow from the pen tip every time it’s used. Unfortunately, while these are the “BEST” I have used for white ink, they still don’t quite hit the center mark for the target for use.

After seeing white gel pens such as these in various art videos on YouTube for so long, I decided to buy my own. Going over markers and pens, they’re a dream. They don’t, however, go over watercolor or colored pencils very well, if at all.

My guess is that the texture that these two pieces of media put over the paper isn’t one that the gel ink can stick to very well. If you just want to clean up your lineart or add highlights over a marker drawing, these pens are plenty capable.

I do abstract or semi-abstract paintings and at times use pens, usually either the Sakura Micron Pigma, probably most popular art pen, in sizes 1, 2, 3, 5, black and I do have some colors. OR the Sakura Gelly Rolls [so named because they are Gel type and they Roll easily and it’s a nice pun] Notice the same company, the fine Sakura of Japan, makes both.

I also have their KOI watercolor travel set. Great stuff. I use the Gelly Rolls also in white — a very effective tool for completely dry watercolor, gouache or acrylic surfaces. I have sizes 6 and 10 or so, or is it 5 and 10 — something like that.

Black, white, brown as I recall. Discovered a cool trick: after the Gelly Roll in white dries in maybe 15 minutes, you can paint it a color and it changes somewhat — great effect, hard to achieve any other way.

Sakura Gelly Roll Classic Gel Pen 0. 6mm – Royal Blue. Due to the angle I write, I’ve found that fiber-tip pens work best for me; I often get blobs or skipping with ball-point, roller-ball or gel ink pens.

Sometimes, however, one needs a hard-point pen. The Sakura Gelly roll 0. 6mm is a great choice for those times. Smooth writing. The pen is labeled “Fine” but the line is really more of a medium to my thinking.

No skipping. Mostly no blobs, however I do find that making long lines (e. g. “X”ing out a whole page) does cause blobs. On the plus side, the ink is archival: chemically stable, waterproof & fade resistant.

The Sakura Gelly Roll Classic’s Royal Blue is a darker blue than the Blue & better for “business uses” such as check-writing & signing papers.

I’m not much of a gel pen user. At least, I didn’t think I was until I tried this brand as compared to the cruddy dimestore gel pens I’d made the mistake of buying in my fledgling days of gel pen work.

This brand however has completely changed my mind about the viability of the medium. I was skeptical at first, when lots of other folks I’d talked to had recommended the brand to me, so I bought one of their smaller sets to start out and shortly fell in love with them.

They have a great selection of colors, write smoothly (most of the time), offer a great variety of finishes / effects (metallic, sparkle, opaque, opaque neon, and colors intended to write best on black papers), and last a very long time! A few pens in my collection are several years old and still work perfectly fine despite being left sitting around in a drawer.

They may be a bit expensive on the surface, but the price is very much worth it. Trust me. You won’t be tossing out these gel pens like you’d toss out the cheaper ones. The detail work on the attached piece is these pens.

My favorite art product. I love using this in my sketchbook to give the appearance of spot glazing. It’s looks gorgeous on matte paper. Just make sure to wait for it to dry. It applies as a sort of milky color but dries down to a true shiny clear glaze.

Cannot recommend this enough!.

I have a compulsion for PENS. I am always looking for a nicer, more fluid, consistent and beautiful pen/ink. These pens are just wonderful. I have every color and use them almost exclusively when it comes to my artwork.

I just love the way they flow. I can’t think of any cons, maybe that they might not continue to flow flawlessly after sitting for 5 years on a shelf? Nah, that would be unreasonable, right? But it doesn’t change how much I love them!.

I LOVE these pens! I have the classic pens in black and white but I bought these on a whim and I love them! I love the texture and the way it writes so smoothly. Would buy again.

Personally, I think there’s a learning curve to using this pen. You cant just hold the tip to the paper while you’re zoned out or it will flow out more than what you would want or expect. I’ve never had a problem with them not being very opaque, as they all have been quite opaque & probably one of the brightest whites I’ve ever used.

I’m a huge fan of sakura gelly roll pens but this one has actually taking precedent over my white gelly roll pens. They will smear if not given the time to dry but common sense. I use mine quite often , I love the white on black paper.

only time ive had it somewhat smear is if i put another piece of paper on the one I wrote on before it was fully dried. my fault though. The only cons that I would have would be that bc they do have a free flow, I tend to go thru them which is great for the company I suppose.

Best white ink. Writes beautifully. Look best on bright colors. I love to address bright colored envelopes – Navy blue, red or black. This makes your envelope a beautiful presentation for homemade card.

Works great for scrapbook journaling too! Keep replacing after ink dries out.

These gold pens are the best! Easy to use and look beautiful!— I signed 120 Christmas cards — yes in July for this year— and they are lovely! I will always use these— I always buy cards when on sale for the next year and sign them during hot summer—usually July— except ice point as well! In addition Brian who always checks me out recommended these and he is also the best— helpful, kind and I can trust his recommendations!.

Use it when i overshoot my coloring. Plus, if you sre using darker paper, you can get very creative with monchromatic drawings. Gelly rolls are very easy to use, but do put the top on if not in use to prevent dry out.

I still had some old ones from the 90s, that worked pretty well. Sakura, the mfg, prides themselves as the art and office pen [+ archival pen] leaders. Many use their Microns for paper and quilts. Their I-dentapens rival the other mfg for permanence.

Gelly rolls have a wide assortment of colors and nuances. Of course, they’re fun to write with, too.

This is the one white pen that behaves the way you want it to. The coverage is so opaque and nice and buildable, but not dry and flakey like using white out– it’s almost like ink meets concealer. I’ve tried many other white ink pen brands, to my chagrin– so many are milky and streaky and just ineffective for real coverage.

These work the best on a variety of surfaces– I’ve used it over watercolor and gouache and many dark papers. If you are between a number of brands, go with this one!.

This pen, along with its 8 pt. and 10 pt. versions are great for detailing work on tuxedo art styles. The pens all work great, but the 5 pt. pens tend to dry out just from basic use. I recommend using the painters tape trick constantly while drawing, but I also recommend simply having a few of these on hand for when that stops working and giving the pen and ink time to chill.

Overall a good tool, but the drying out on the tip is annoying enough.

I’ve loved fountain pens more and more over the past year, and wanted to share that love with my husband. but with a pen that he wouldn’t be intimated to use (and that I wouldn’t cry if I ended up having to adopt it if he didn’t like it).

Most of my collection is Lamy, and I’ve wanted to try out TWSBI. So, when this new model came out in such a nice blue, I thought I’d pick it up for a small stocking stuffer gift — and my husband likes it! Some things that he especially liked: * It’s a thinner pen.

He hates my thick barrels, so the width of this pen is great for him. * It’s a lighter pen. He really disliked all my heavier pens, as much as I enjoy the heft. * The design is interesting without being “weird.

” (He thinks my abalone pens are ostentatious and nearly keeled over laughing at my Benu — can’t blame him!) This design is what I might call “classic with a twist:” Interesting enough to be worth splurging on, but not so outlandish that you’d be laughed at trying to take notes during a conference meeting.

* Its cartridge works well. He’s a mechanical pencil sort of guy, so he opted for it over fussing with any of my ink bottles. It filled the feed immediately and laid down a lovely line — much, MUCH nicer than any cartridge I’ve gotten from Lamy with the Safaris.

* The “sweet spot” you get occasionally with nibs out of the box didn’t happen with this one. He immediately understood where and how to hold the pen and position its nib to write. I didn’t have to tune it at all, much to my surprise.

I usually spend quite a bit of time with all of my pens out of the box — outright replacing every Conklin nib, what the **** is going on with their quality control?! — and I didn’t need to do a thing to this one.

The reason I took away a star is because the instructions are actually quite hard to understand for someone who doesn’t know how to use a fountain pen. and even for a quasi-experienced fountain pen user but who’s new to the TWSBI assembly.

I’m genuinely worried about trying out the spring-loaded converter lol. The instruction booklet-leaflet doesn’t really describe what all the pieces are, so make sure you watch Drew’s intro video before loading it up the first time!.

I bought this pen with a stub nib specifically for use with shimmer inks, which I don’t want to put in my more expensive pens. When it arrived, I immediately filled it with Edelstein “Golden Beryl” ink and started writing.

It started right up and was surprisingly smooth. There’s been no skipping, no hard starts. And I’m getting a kick out of the having that ink in a demonstrator; I sit and spin it around and watch the gold shimmer swirl and think, “neat!” I wasn’t expecting a great feel from a plastic pen, but it actually feels pretty sturdy in my hand, not at all cheap.

Okay, compared to my more expensive pens it’s a lightweight and “cheap” is relative, but for fifty bucks, I can’t fault it at all. It’s attractive, and I like the piston filler. If I’m going to get a demonstrator, I want to see my ink sloshing around, not sitting in a narrow tube cartridge or convertor.

I bought the pen with several other items – notebook, empty cartridges, cleaning supplies, convertor – my first purchase from Goulet. Everything was well packed, and I got a free lollipop. I’m a sucker for free suckers.

If I’m just buying ink, I’ll keep using my current vendor, who has free shipping at a lower price threshold, but if (umm, when) I’m buying another pen, or if (yeah, that’s definitely an if) I need a collection of supplies that will get me free shipping, I’ll come back to Goulet.

I may have to get more of these TWSBIs for my kids. They make fun of my “weird” pens; I’ll show them that weird can also be neat and fun.

This is my third pen after a Pilot Metropolitan F and a Lamy Safari M. I wanted something in-between the nib sizes of these two pens, and I think the TWSBI Eco F was a great choice. I could have even gone up to a M nib since I am using it on Rhodia and Clairefontaine.

I really, really love this pen, and I think the nib is way better than what I have on my Pilot Metro or my Lamy Safari. Writing feels very smooth to me, more like butter. The ink capacity is generous, and when I’m taking notes for multiple classes, I find that a full fill from a Goulet sample ink container lasts 2+ weeks.

I highly recommend this pen for students who need high ink capacity. I only have two complaints. It doesn’t feel as sturdy and durable as my Lamy Safari. Since I’m using this as my everyday pen, I am toting it around the house and to school, and I would prefer if the pen felt more durable.

BUT I kind of knew that would be the case before I bought it. Finally, I don’t like the twist cap. Although it gives me peace of mind about potential leaks, it makes it hard for me to go back and forth between writing and capping when I’m taking notes in school, particularly for math class.

The ink can dry out if I leave it uncapped, so I’m always partially capping it which can get unwieldy in class. I greatly prefer the Lamy Safari cap because it is quick and quiet. Overall, I highly recommend this pen, especially at this price point.

These are one of my favorite supplies–I use them myself and I also use them in art therapy with older adults (and highly recommend them to other art therapists!) They are a ‘natually occuring’ adaptive art supply; the big wide marker body is easy to hold and grasp.

The variety of marks one can make enable a great range of expressive capability. Bonus: These hold up well when left uncapped for a whole session of creating. such an improvement over other similar-sized, cheap markers.

Additionally, these do not have fumes. They blend well with the whole range of Faber-Castell markers.

Firmer tips are easier to handle for beginners and also more suitable for a more formal, controlled style. This pen set has softer tips which makes it little difficult to maneuver, specially at started.

With little practice it prepares you for getting better. It’s a complete set for the starting calligraphy. Pencil inside the set is also very soft and light, which helps to create the draft. Overall, one of the best set to start with for calligraphy.

My wife uses these pens. She has always wanted to learn different ways of writing. She uses them all the time. The little carrying case is perfect. Keep them in there and you won’t loose any! She has been showing our granddaughter how to use them.

She’s 15 and never learned cursive in school. They don’t teach it anymore!!!!! She does a wonderful job. Thanks to these pens!.

This pen’s overall quality is quite good. I feel it is durable enough to handle most normal everyday usage. The matte finish is great as well as micro scratches on the finish is not an issue. The thing I’m disappointed about with this pen is the nib.

I have a Lamy pen with a 14k gold Lamy nib and it is my favorite pen in terms of the way it writes. The steel Lamy nibs however, are a different story. I bought this Savannah colorway together with the Aquamarine colorway, both in fine nibs.

The Aquamarine’s nib is great. It is smooth and wet. In contrast, the Savannah’s nib is quite scratchy and very dry. It was so scratchy in fact that I could feel the nib tearing fibers from the paper as I write.

Not very pleasant to use at all. Goulet Pens was great and they sent me a replacement nib. The replacement nib was much better than the one that came with the pen but it was still quite dry and no where near as smooth as the Aquamarine nib.

Still no where near the writing experience that I get from the Aquamarine color way. I really wish Lamy paid more attention to the quality control of their steel nibs. The Aquamarine Safari that I have shows just how good the Lamy steel nibs can be if they just took their time with it.

This should have been an excellent product. However, this pen has one FATAL issue for me! The triangular grip is a ******, ignorant and ridiculous design. Holding the pen instantly causes pains, discomfort, fatigues and actually pains in my fingers and hands.

This design assumes everyone’s hands are exactly the same, holding pen exactly the same way. No Lamy, that is not true. Come on, German engineering meant to be the best in the world but this one is failure in my view.

All it need is a small redesign in the grip section, this pen will be perfect, jumps from 2 stars to 5 stars. But the pen writes so well, the fine grip I have is so smooth with just the right amount feedback, the sound of the pen circulating around the paper is so satisfactory and relax.

However, I did temporarily fixed the problem by putting Blu Tack on the flat grip part and sticky tape around it so the grip section is not triangular and it does not cause fatigues and pains on my fingers and hand anymore.

The pen itself is nice to hold and write with. The unique grip shape isn’t hard to hold even with a lateral tripod grip. My only problem is with the nib size. Lamy nib sizes are pretty inconsistent, and my other Lamy, a Studio, has an EF tip as well.

Yet, when I compared them side-by-side, there was a massive difference in thickness. This one had a much broader, wetter line. For me, it was too broad to be usable in my Hobonichi Techo. I swapped out the nibs between my pens and I can use this one for planning now, but Lamy nibs can be a real gamble.

The utilitarian sort of look is nice and it’s a good pen for EDC as a planner and journaler. I don’t have to worry about scratches as much as other materials or colors.

Standard Lamy excellence, as expected. I already had a black Lamy Safari when I ordered this (the Safari and Vista are one in the same, aside from color). So I knew what I was getting. This time though I went for the extra fine.

The Safari I had before was a medium nib, which was great, if a bit scratchy on copy paper. I prefer thinner lines though, so I went with the extra fine when it came time to buy the Vista While I still prefer my Pilot Metro in terms of writing feel, the Vista/Safari is still a great workhorse pen, and writes like a dream on good paper (I use Rhodia, personally).

Not to mention I think it looks a bit better than the metro, but that’s just my opinion of course, I just prefer the industrial design, and you just can’t say no to that clip ;). The translucency of the Vista is drop dead gorgeous, it really needs to be seen to be believed, it’s a beautiful pen.

I recommend going with extra fine nib. Especially if you’re coming from a Japanese pen (Pilot, Platinum, Sailor, etc. ). The extra fine I’ve found seems to be the same size if a bit bigger than the fine nib on my Pilot Metro.

It’s not really an issue as long as you know that going in, as I did. I’ll also note that this pen is great for art, it’s what I primarily use fountain pens for, and this nib is great as it doesn’t have a lot of flex to the nib, so you know exactly what the line is going to look like every time.

You can’t go wrong with this pen, it’s been a staple of the fountain pen community for decades for a reason, you get a lot of pen for 30 bucks. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision! And if you do buy it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!.

I’ve had better than these for less money but you never can tell with white gel pens until you try them. These are a bit hit ‘n’ miss to be honest, sometimes they will work fine and at other times they seemed to get clogged up.

I do like the different thicknesses of the nibs though.

Dark Red is a richly saturated colour, closer to red than black, similar to a wine colour. I bought these in the 0. 5 mm and the 0. 38 mm, for when I need to write in smaller grid ruling. Both tips lay down a full line of the same colour, with no feathering or bleedthrough; the only difference is line width.

The pen is comfortable to hold for long writing session thanks to the grip section, the clip mechanism is satisfying and the clip is useful if you use such things. It’s blacker than the Zebra Sarasa Vintage Cassis Black but redder than the Vintage Bordeaux Purple.

Dark Red is red enough for corrections without being obnoxious, and isn’t that black that one could confuse it with black and not see the writing. I was afraid that they would dry with a waxy buildup, but I experienced no such behaviour; I previously bought this brand sold under the Pop’lol name (or something similar) from Malaysia some time ago, but I don’t think that those pens were supposed to be sold in the North American market.

Maybe the store bought it from some place that was going out of business, or maybe the pens were old; regardless, I did not like them at all. So I was glad I gave the real McCoy a try, because the Juice Gel Pens made in Japan did not disappoint me! Well, I don’t know if they are made in Japan, but the refill says it is.

I really wanted to like these pens, I really did. I ordered a few other pastel pens to try out for a blackout bullet journal I got recently and these just did nothing. The writing was very scratchy, and the sheets of the journal I was using to test the pens was smooth.

I can normally appreciate a thinner line, but the line width did little to actually make these colours visible. These barely showed up on the black paper, and the only colours that were ‘meh’ were the purple and pink.

When I tested them on white paper, only the purple was visible, so I kept that one and binned the others. If you want good pastel pens, go with Sakura Gelly Rolls or the Pentel Hybrid Milky pens, those are worth the money to stock up with.

I was super skeptical of gel pens because I never liked the PIlot G2s. Turns out I probably didn’t like them because they were too big for my liking (0. 7mm). And, let me say, this pen, at 0. 38mm, totally changed my tune on gel pens.

This is one of the smoothest writing gel pens I’ve used for its smaller size. The ink a deep black, and it draws a nice, uninterrupted line, no skipping at all. And let me also just praise the clip on this pen.

It opens ip pretty wide, which is really great fo me because I have a bed pouch type thing that acts as my nightstand. One part fits between the mattress and the box spring, and the folder part of it hangs down, and I put a notebook and a pen in there.

The pen is perfect for that because the clip opens super easily and opens wide enough to clip to the side of the thick felt fabric. I decided that would be my permanent “nightstand” pen, and went ahead and got another one for my pencil case! I highly suggest giving this one a shot if you’re on the fence.

Was looking for a replacement for the discontinued Alvin Penstix with tip size F, and found it in this item, right here! That bullet tip is very hard to find now that Alvin permanently discontinued that classic product with their shutdown and acquisition.

Great for black ink line drawing. Plays well with smooth, thick drawing paper with permanent solid blacks and no bleeding. My new favorite freehand cartooning pen.

This marker/pen was exactly what I wanted when creating headlines in my notes. It leaves a beautiful, sharp line that does not feather. There is no bleeding; however, it still does ghost on the other side.

I use the Kokuyo Campus Notebooks and the ghosting is barely there. Just think about what paper you are using. The only complaint I have is that it can be messy. When putting the cap on the other end for writing, the cap leaves ink on the body.

Several times I have gotten it on my fingers without realizing and smeared it everywhere. DO NOT let this discourage you from purchasing this! I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone.

this pen dried up after minimal use (I mean- after 2 weeks of use, 4 projects and not the sole pen used). weird. reading back thru’ the reviews, I see others with same problem. poor product control? shelf date expired? for the price one wouldn’t return it, still.

I have both this and the Milk Pink. They have a very very similar hue, except the pink one is a cooler shade. I prefer this one as a pink pen, but I agree with the other comments that the picture shown is deceptively red.

It does not really look like that at all in person! This is one of my favourite colour gel pens I own. However, it does skip. often. It is not really pleasant to write with. I only use it for short notes and accents.

I’ve bought these before and always found them reliable and really comfortable to use. My mom (raised by Depression-era parents) has a habit of keeping EVERY free/cheap pen she acquires. She has a funny-looking pen rack in the kitchen that holds them, along with stubs of pencils, pencils that she has no way to sharpen (she doesn’t own a pencil sharpener!), etc.

So before she left on a trip to see relatives, I gifted her with one of these and said, “Clear every other writing utensil from your purse. This is the only one you need. ” When she returned she said it was now her very favorite pen! It may or may not change her overall habits.

I’m SURE she isn’t going to get rid of the weirdo pen rack. but maybe I can convince her to throw a few of the pens that will never work again? We shall see!.

This pen is good, but not great. For one thing, I absolutely love the body of the pen, the grip extends down the pen, the clicking mechanism is great, and I love the binder clip. The ink is very smooth, and while it dries at an average speed, it smudges a lot.

I usually only use it when I’m writing letters or notes with colored pens rather than highlighters. However, the pen body is very compatible with other refills, including the Pentel EnerGel and Uni Jetstream ballpoint, so I plan to use those refills once the ink runs out.

I have eyed one of these pens for years, but didn’t see the need for it — until I lost a couple of much more expensive pens from out of my pockets. When I lost my new Custom 74 Pilot, that did it — the pen was eventually found, but I had bought one of these as my daily carry and have decided my beloved pens have to stay home or at least only come out dressed in a briefcase or sling bag.

But I often don’t carry a bag, so needed something *this small. * And it is small — if you have one of the tiny Apica notebooks, this pen, when capped, is about 1/4″ taller than the notebook. For me, this is perfect.

I did buy the converter, though I think now it was a complete waste of money — it’s far too small to bother with when making the pen into an eyedropper has been perfect for me — good silicone grease on the threads and nary a leak.

I did not buy the clip as I think that just makes me more likely to put the pen somewhere it is again likely to separate itself from me, and without a clip, there’s less bulk in my pocket. And by pocket, I mean the front indentation that Levi’s considers a pocket on women’s jeans.

The Kaweco lays flat in that indentation and doesn’t pop out at all. I bought the M nib and am sorry — should have watched Brian’s video before I chose — the medium really is fatter than I bargained for but that’s on me.

The nib is very smooth. I have used several inks in it: Burma Road Brown is great, El Lawrence seemed a little too dry, Zhivago was good and it always flows well for me, and Eel Black was good. I like this so much and the ink capacity is so generous that in fact I am going to buy a second one and fill it with either Carbon Black or Document Black to use as a sketching/cartooning/doodling pen, and just keep this green one as my notes-on-the-fly EDC pen.

For a functional, useful tool, $25 is a fair price — and, if I lose it, I may be able to replace it without too much pain. I have fairly small hands, and the pen works for me posted or unposted, which is how I usually use it.

If I need to write anything of length, the lightness of the pen makes it less comfortable, but your results may vary. I have had zero trouble with leaking; the nib is smooth; the cap does seem to tend to unscrew itself a little, but that may be because it’s in that front pocket; it works with a couple of my crankier Noodler’s inks.

What’s not to love?.

Despite its small size, this pen delivers big! It’s a pocket pen, but I bought it as a small purse pen. It fits in my smallest handbags, but writes like a full size pen when it is posted. It posts very easily, but it does need to be posted.

I am not usually a “poster” but find it natural to post the Kaweco Sport. I bought a fine nib as several reviewers said the medium nib writes a bit on the broad side. I like broad nibs, but opted to trust that the fine nib would work better with a pen that I reach for to fill out forms, jots notes on mediocre paper, etc.

This fine nib writes smoothly and writes well even on newspaper puzzles. No feathering. It’s a pleasure to use and since the cap screws on, it feels safe to carry around in a bag (or pocket). Even with jostling, I haven’t seen any ink in the cap.

I saw the green pen in Goulet’s March ad showcasing green pens for Spring, I think it was. Love this particular green color! I have Noodler’s Green Marine Ink it. As most of my pens are black, yet I don’t use black ink, matching ink to the pen isn’t something I do.

Until now! It’s fun to have green ink in a green pen. The only other time I think about coordinating an ink with a pen is with my Twisbi ECO — it’s pretty cool to look at a favorite ink sloshing around in the pen.

Noodler’s Blue is really pretty and a great ink. (For the Twisbi, chose an ink you want to look at for a long time — the ink capacity is huge. ).

I am IN LOVE with this little gem! It’s so lightweight and twee; I am finding myself reaching for it to jot a quick note, and I filled two journal pages using it last night — its maiden voyage. And she is yar, all right! 😉 * I love how it fits in my pocket or purse, and it also has taken up a nook on my desk right above my class notebook where it fits perfectly! And even with an extra-fine nib, she writes beautifully with a smooth flow and such flair! Now if I could afford the Sport in brass.

I love this Jam Paper White Gel Pen!!!! I went on-line to the Staples site, looking for a special white gel ink pen to use with my art work. A friend in England suggested I should try and find one, to use with color pencils as well as acrylic.

Needless to say, I KNEW I would find it at Staples, but did’t know for sure if our local Staples had these in stock, and it is a little drive into town to do so So I called my local Staples, and a great salesperson told me, no, they did not have these great pens, but.

BUT, I could order one and have it sent to me without delivery charges with my Staples Reward membership! About three days after ordering it,,,,,just as I NEEDED it for a picture I was doing. here it comes, delivered to my DOOR! OOOOOooooo! How I LOVE Staples,,,,and s for the Jam pen.

it is PERFECT! I recommend it for any projects you might do that require a dependable and fluid white gel ,,,,,I ordered two, and will order MORE as I start the second pen. HIGHLY recommend this pen.

Gel Pens are great for crafters. This pen is excellent for writing on black paper or any color where you want white ink. These are great pens for scrapbookers as well. JAM PAPER GEL PEN products always write smooth and I have only on one occasion had one that skipped.

If your looking for a pen that feels smooth as it writes this brand offers that. The White ink is also “heavy” some white ink pens ink appears thin and requires you to write over it several times, not with this pen.

I purchased this pen for the CEO to write brief notes on her holiday cards which are navy blue with gold trim so we needed a pen with ink color that would stick out. Upon receiving and trying it out, the pen didn’t write as well as I expected to.

The fluidness of the pen is lacking. There were breaks in the writing. For the price I paid, I expected better quality. In the end we decided to not write on the cards. The pens will not be used this time.

The estimated ship time was 3-8 days. We received it on the 5th business day.

Ordered this pen in white and burgundy along with 2 clips. The white pen was in perfect condition but the burgundy pen came without a plastic sleeve with the barcode sticker placed directly on the pen.

This left a sticky residue which i will have to remove. The order was shipped fast however there was a mix up with the shipping address. I am still going to give 5 stars as the service from Alex was very helpful.

Soon after I notified them about the mix up they quickly worked to resolve the issue even offering a full refund which I declined as the quick and helpful service was enough.

I am fairly new to fountain pens, I want to be an expert but, I am still new. I bought this pen as a recommendation saying it was a good affordable pen. I LOVE this pen. I love this pen, I love this pen.

I have the red and the Boudreaux. I will say I like the extra fine nib better than the fine nib but they are both amazing. I can’t say enough great things about this pen. Easy to pop in my purse, my bag or have on my desk!.

The amazing little red pen that could. Received perfectly packed from Jet Pens. A blue (I think) cartridge is included and may be slightly lodged in the end of the body, but a tap will bring it down.

I filled an empty international cartridge Noodler’s Bernanke Red, gave it two downward shakes to fill the feed and the pen wrote on its second stroke. Only the weight of the pen lets you know that you’re playing in the budget space.

The nib is stiff (as expected) and Fit and finish are beautiful. no partlines or sprues, no sharp edges that typically mark low-cost plastic. The Fine nib (my first) is a smooth writer, with nice feedback and no unhappy snags (I tend to mash on my push strokes because I am a caveman) on up or back strokes.

Love that a lot. The tail end of the pen body has a very subtle reeding on the top edge. Where this probably comes into play is when you begin to mess around with other nibs that require you to unscrew the feed.

I like a little bit of feedback. the scritch, regardless of how subtle, is part of the experience for me. I haven’t tested it on my letter paper (Clairefontaine Triomphe) but if I’m happy with the pen’s travel on cheap comp books from the dollar store (may as well be writing on toilet paper), I would imagine that I’ll be at least satisfied once I play on real paper.

Net net of this is that it seems like it will make a great note-taker/sketcher/doodler. The Kaweco Classic Sport really is pocketable, and I intend to do so. It’s about 1. 5 turns to remove the cap. It’s meant to be posted, though sometimes I like a really really short pen.

I’ll likely do an eyedropper conversion, with a Classic Sport for red, purple, and green. My next purchase, after I’ve lived with this Lil Wonder, will likely be a Classic Sport with either a double-broad, or a 1.

I have been in search for the best white pen for a while now, and I think I found it! I have been using it for over a month now, and it hasn’t dried up and started skipping yet. Comparing to the uni-ball Signo, I prefer the Pentel.

After a month of use, the Signo skips a lot, and clogs up with ink so always needs to be activated by coloring on a scrap paper until the ink flows, even then it will skip sometimes, or get a negative space line in the ink.

The Pentel is more milky/lighter than the uni-ball Signo though, so if you are looking for a totally opaque and bright white pen, stick with the Signo, but for my purposes, I use white pens primarily for highlights.

I found the Pentel Hybrid will pick up a bit of the color underneath and will provide a more subtle/pastel highlight which I absolutely love on my illustrations. It can also be built up for a more white finish.

Most importantly, it has not caked up or dried up at the tip, and still flows as well as it did when I first tried it.

Metallic ink gives a shimmering reflective glitter-like effect, the resultant lettering somewhat like a brush pen. Nice 1. 0mm broad line, (labelled “Medium” on the body) for those who like writing in bold.

Can have slight skipping if not held at the right angle and may need further fine tuning by rotating the pen as one writes (you be then be able to feel the indented barrel grooves). The barrel rubber does not rotate on the barrel so you will have to decide whether to rest the finger pad on “the dot” or “the slits”.

Can have a slight scratchy feel on the upstroke on cheap rough paper, though the ink itself lays down smoothly. The smooth ink and the ergonomics result in nice cursive lettering: nicely spaced, even density, for the most part (other than the occasional slight skipping), flowing, eye pleasing results.

I prefer it to the universally acclaimed Uni-Ball Signo UM-153, and find the plastic housing compliments the ink cartridge (the ink cartridge skips too much for my liking when installed in my Zebra Sarasa Grande, I found.

) The cap “snicks” into place smartly, the clip engages smoothly and clicks nicely when removed from a shirt pocket. The pen is on the fat side, has nice balance, nice feel with the cap on, for the most part does not have objectionable ergonomics, smooth soft rubber barrel grip area.

The barrel has more “meat” to it, more threads, and the threading area is long, which should help position it correctly when screwing back on. The cartridge is a tight fit at the top inside of the body when inserted and there is absolutely no tip wiggle.

I really like this pen and highly recommend.

I was looking for the best white pen to make corrections on stark white paper while journaling. This pen is #2! The best for correcting mistakes is the Uni-ball Signo UM-153. Hands down, get this.

I love the whole Poppin line so I had to get these to go with everything else from them that I have in my office. The pens look sleek and appealing but for use they are just okay. First I believe they run out of ink earlier than most.

They also are very hard so if you write holding your pen tight this probably isn’t good for your hand. They are the opposite of ergonomicially friendly so these pens are better for show than to do a lot of serious writing.

I really liked the blue Poppin pens that I previously bought at Staples, so when I saw the “Set of 6 Signature Assorted Color Ballpoint Pens” advertised on Staples’ website, I read no further and immediately ordered three packs.

Upon receiving them, I excitedly ripped open the packages, put them in my pen cup, and selected the ‘purple’ one to begin writing. Imagine my surprise to see black ink, not purple! Figuring that was an anomaly, I grabbed the ‘orange’ pen, same thing; this process was repeated with each remaining ‘color’, and my surprise turned into abject disappointment.

I then logged into Staples’ website again to review my order and discovered that unless you click the link to VIEW FULL PRODUCT DETAILS, you won’t see the minor note that “. All colors come with Black ink except Pool Blue, which comes with Blue ink.

” Not sure who puts this stuff up the website for Staples, but somebody oughta make sure that all relevant disclosures appear in the initial product description, and don’t get buried in a link that clearly lots of people didn’t click on.

Just sayin’.

The job recommends blue ink and I was given the retractable pen a few months ago and fell in love with the pen. The new version not so much as the ink doesn’t seem to write as smooth and the most important part is the grip has no smoothness and is very uncomfortable to hold and write.

I will need to purchase rubber grips in order to write with these new pens. I wish they still offered the retractable pens, bad choice to discontinue!.

I have used these pens for many years. since 2009 and i love these pens. I love the fact that they are gel pen and that they write in dark black ink. The bold dark ink makes it easier to read and when making copies the dark ink shows up so much better than other ball point pens do.

I have tried other brands of the gel pens. but i like this one the best. They are not good for slick coated surfaces as the ink doesn’t dry as fast and will smear, but for normal every day use. These pens work great! The pens write smooth amd do not make a scratchy sound on the paper.

I use them to write iver write out tape too. but takes a little longer to dry. so blow on it to hwlp it dry. or fan the paper in the air for a bit. If you dont it will smear. I do recommend these pens to others that like using gel pens and need good ink that will make good copies.

These pens, are nice because you can buy a pack of refills and refill them when they are empty! I love using a pen and paper and writing anything, I actually prefer it to like writing lists in my phone.

so, these pens have a tiny tip that sometimes can be irritating for me, because it makes the ink go out occasionally and ends up making my writing look messy where the ink dragged or skipped. And it seems like once they drag or skip, it feels like it just keeps happening over and over.

Also, the refillable option is great, however I haven’t actually found myself buying the inserts to actually refill them, I forgetting and end up going and buying a different brand pack of pens. and the few times I did happen to remember to get the inserts, of course, I couldn’t find them at the stores I happened to be at.

So, while it’s a good idea, I’m wondering how many ppl actually use it? As for recommendations, I think there are cheaper pens that perform better. So it’s all about your preference.

Smooth ink, beautiful color, no skipping. What more could you possibly need? I love Pilot G2 Gel Pens so much, for a few years now, I’ve only been using the black ones, so I figured that I would try some new colors.

I bought the Burgundy and Teal colors of this pen and they work wonders! I love the ink and color so much, and don’t get me started or the ergonomic pen body. Although, you may want to note that these pens smear horribly when used with highlighters, especially with Zebra Mildliners.

If you don”t highlight much, these just may be the best gel pens you’ve tried yet. However, if you’re a person who highlights their notes, you may want to search for a smear-resistant pen.
