20 Best White Knife Set (2022 Updated)

I wanted to like this knife set so bad. I had it on my wedding registry and it was one of the first gifts I received. I immediately opened it and placed it on my counter top with excitement. It has been about a month since I received and I have only used one knife thus far, washed it, and it is already rusting along the handle and blade.

Last I checked, ‘stainless steel’ means that shouldn’t happen. I even double checked the description immediately once I saw the rust because I seconded guessed whether it was stainless steel. It maybe sat in water for 5 minutes or less.

I’ve never had a piece of silverware or cutlery rust like that, not even the cheap stuff I’ve owned. I’m going to attempt to return it, although I’m a little concerned since I don’t have the receipt or box anymore as I had no intention to return it initially.

My only hope is that it was on my registry. All I can say is buyer beware. It looks beautiful but if you ever intend to use it for anything other than eye candy – run away fast and buy something else!.

These knives rust so easily! Even when washing as recommended, I will still find rust stains. Additionally, my husband accidentally put one in the dish washer and it rusted completely! One knife completely ruined.

I have never had a knife set that rusted so easily and quickly! I haven’t had this set for more than two month.

I really like these knives they are sharp and cut well. They match my kitchen perfectly. I didn’t give 5 stars because the scissors are very stiff. Hard to open and close

This block set is perfect for the serious home chef. I recently purchased this for my mother and she couldn’t be happier. Took the advice of the salesperson I worked with who suggested this set because of the quality, design, and assortment which includes top of the line German steak knives.

The knives are extremely comfortable because of the curved bolster, which also allows for both Asian and European chopping methods. The unusual curved shape of the blade helps with the rocking motion which my mom uses most often.

Sharpening and honing the full length of the blade is also made easier without having the interference of a full bolster. They are also extremely sharp due to the sharper angle as well as the highest quality steel they use in production.

Zwilling is a world renowned cutlery company, which also helped with my decision. They really stand behind their merchandise.

This is my second set of Zwilling Pro. line. I have a Pro-S set previously that served me over 10 years, but I didn’t have steak knives with it (Which I wanted). Since the Pro line came out I decided to give this a try since both the Pro and Pro-S are made of the same process and material but slightly different in style.

I prefer the weight distribution of the Pro-S as it’s better balanced and more beefy, but I like the Pro because it’s more refined and makes ever cut more precise throughout the entire length of the knife.

Depending on how you hold the knife (Especially if you like certain way of holding pinch grip), you should go try holding these two chefs knives before choosing the family line you want. Either way, you won’t regret if you bought either the Pro or Pro-S.

By the way, I gave my Pro-S set to my mom and I do use it whenever I go visit her!.

The block is solid, slim, and well organized. The knives came individually sleeved and wrapped; keeping them razor sharp and free of defects. The knives themselves are sturdy but not bulky or super heavy.

My only complaint is that the poultry scissors don’t come apart without removing a screw and water stays trapped between the two halves. I am afraid that the water left behind, despite trying to wipe them dry, will lead to rusting.

I have a farberware knife set now and wanted this new color. I don’t blame target bc duhhh they’re amazing but the handles on these are truly just plastic. I knew immediately they weren’t the same quality I was looking for out of the ones I have now.

I found another 15 pc farberware set that’s metal all the way through instead. I’d recommend passing on these unfortunately.

Love this knife block set! The knives are sharp and I like that the knife block has a built in knife sharpener. It looks great sitting on my quartz counters in my modern white and gray kitchen.

This is a great knife set. I’m so happy I ordered this set. I wanted a good knife set cause I haven’t had a good one for a long time and they are expense so I took the chance and it is a great price and I cute up tomoatoes thin slice.

I’m so happy with those and I wish they had steak knifes with it. I may get another set for our trailer. I like to give reveiws on good things and this is at the top of my list for great things I’ve bought.

These knives are great they all are of very good quality and extremely sharp when they arrived. I had been looking for an decent set of knives without breaking the bank and these are on point. They are sturdy and made very well and the set is great for whatever you need them for.

i have been a professional chef for over 35 years these knife have great balance to them and a good grip they are also very sharp and come with knife guards. for the price they are great. highly recommend.

I’ve owned many knives over the years. I try to learn about each of them and make better decisions next purchase. After purchasing a full set of Wusthof knives I learned about quality and name brand.

I would recommend these knives to anyone as a good jumping off point for purchasing GOOD knives. They’re very good quality, but also pretty safe. You’re going to be able to use them well and get many years out of them if you so choose.

They’re not finicky and require no special care. Just hand wash them and put them away properly, get the sharpened by a professional and they’ll give you years of use. I’ve given a lot of my Wusthofs away to people I know would appreciate them, but the ones I keep have a permanent place on my knife bar.

I was excited to finally purchase a set of quality, expensive knives. My mistake was not going into the store to check them out beforehand. I purchased them online and as soon as I started opening them I could tell they were not going to meet my expectations.

Yes, the blades are nice and sharp, and the wood block is very nice, but that was about all. The knives are very lightweight. They don’t feel like quality knives. And the types of knives included in this set were not to my liking either.

There were at least 3 or 4 very small knives that I knew I would rarely use. Additionally, it didn’t come with a good knife for cutting tomatoes. Oftentimes the steak knives can get this done but these steak knives were not serrated.

All in all, I decided that for the price point, I really want to love my knives and I just don’t love these enough. I returned them to the store and selected another set that better let my needs and expectations.

The return was very simple and I appreciated all the time they spent educating me in the store.

I had heard about these knives offhand, but never really thought they were worth the price. I thought that all knives were the same more for less, and I was happy with the knife set I had before. I bought these to try because I had a gift card, and couldn’t find anything else I wanted.

All I have to say is wow. From the moment you hold the knives in your hand, you can already tell that there’s a difference in these knives’ quality. The knives feel like a well balanced weight in your hands.

They cut through food so smoothly and so easily, and I can’t even go back to my old knives. I will be purchasing more. I have hand washed my knives, and honed after each use, which I highly recommend to properly maintain the knives.

Actually, the first knife slipped off of center ilse and broke in half. Bought another one and the blade chipped in two places after using it for a week. Did love how sharpe it was, cutting was a breeze.

But did not realize how fragile it was. Problem with chipping was that we could not find the small pieces. Scary! So we chose not to buy another. Bob Crawford.

Knife is light, handle is wonderfully comfortable, it’s sharp, and knife is a perfect length for a multitude of kitchen tasks. My first knife is 2 1/2 years old, no chips, still sharp as hell and I love it.

So, bought a second one. Treated the second one same as first: cut only on plastic or wood board, no twisting of blade, no prying, no cutting meat with bones, hand wash only, and no banging on anything that could chip blade.

Primarily used to cut tomatoes and onion slices. Result: one chip in blade edge after 3 uses. Question: Is quality consistent? New ceramic formula? Different factory manufacturing blade? I just don’t have a clue.

My wife is afraid she ate the chip in her food and it will cut her during elimination.

I have had several these knives for several years. My goto knife. The company is also amazing. They have sharpened and/or fixed every knife I have with no hassle at all. The can chip. It happens, especially while you’re getting used to them.

Don’t fret. It’ll be taken care of. They are amazing, especially if you’re new to nice knives. Before investing hundreds on a fancy steel knife (worth it though, don’t get me wrong), try one of these.

If you can keep these in good order, then you’re ready for a $500+ knife. The chef at Williams-Sonoma was giving my husband a bit of grief about buying an expensive steel knife until he told her he’s had ceramics for years.

Then she suggested an even more delicate blade.

These knives are great and they stay sharp! I purchased another Kyocera knife years ago and it remains my absolute favorite and these knives are no different. They cut like butter. I also love the sleek black cylinder block.

It also takes up the least amount of counter space of any block I’ve ever seen. This is a must purchase!.

We went through 2 different knife sets, as the brittle ceramic breaks very easily! One broke off in our Christmas ham!! Do not take the chance ingesting a ceramic shard, spend your money elsewhere. (When the knives werent broken they worked great, but the durability was not there).

Beautiful modern look that matched other black accessories and stainless steel in my kitchen. The size and number of knives is what I needed vs other sets that had scissors and steak knives. The ceramic blades are extremely sharp.

The handles/knives are of great quality.

I have had this set for one year. The scissors broke today. I called Cuisinart and was told that there was a lifetime warranty. However, a white scissors was not available to send separately. The representative told me that I could send an email with a photo of my set and broken scissors to corporate and see what they can do.

Cuisinart’s representative was very helpful and it was great knowing that there was a lifetime warranty on the set. I hope for a positive outcome.

After a month or so of research, I finally purchased this set of knives. Visually, this set is beautiful and sleek. Also, they’re full-tang knives, which mean they’re stronger. (Our previous set had the same design, which lasted for 10 years! I decided to replace it mainly because the color started to fade).

I’ve been happy with how the knives have performed. It’s definitely a great purchase.

I purchased this knife set to replace an old set I had. The new set is perfect! The knives fit my hand just right and are super sharp. So nice to have sharp knives and no more wooden handles to contend with.

We received this set for our wedding 10 years ago. It has held up very well at 10 years and we are now just “upgrading” to a forged set. This handled everything in our home kitchen without issues. It’s a great price for the quality and the chef’s knife in particular can handle quite a bit of (ab)use.

Over the years, a couple of the steak knives’ tips have broken off and the chef’s knife isn’t retaining its edge as well as it used to (this all considering we’ve thrown these in the dishwasher), but otherwise no complaints.

Given the upkeep required for a forged carbon-steel knife set, I think these knives in particular are very good for an everyday home cook who wants a solid knife set that will last at least a decade without breaking the bank or needing much upkeep.

These are spendy but last forever. I purchased the ones I know I would use the most. The sheers and the block are a waste of money in my opinion. I went to IKEA and purchased a piece of magnetic steel and attached it above the the stove.

They are not dishwasher friendly as they can bend. They sharpen easy and last!!! Ebates are the way to go because crate and barrel William Sonma are overpriced in my opinion. I’ve had mine over 20 years.

I just picked up the steak knives and they have not disappointed. Purchasing one by one may be a little more spendy but the set isn’t worth the high price tag in my opinion. Try the chefs knife, the most versatile and you will fall in love.

You really need just a few because of their versatility. They are not heavy to use. They look that way but they are not. The Santucco, I know it’s misspelled but they are Japanese and I am not perfect.

That is a good starter because it’s a chef knife and can be use as a serrated knife for tomatoes ect. That’s the one I would recommend. The paring knife and the smaller chef’s knife are probably the most used.

I purchase the unsliced bread when I find it on the day old shelf and either the bakery, the meat department and deli will slice it for you if you purchase it on the same day.

I got this for our new mountain home and love the color or the block. Matches our decor very nicely. Needless to say, we love the knives. Sharp and feel really comfortable in teh hand. This is my favorite of all the Henckels chef knives I’ve owned over the decades.

I like the curve of this blade a little more compared to previous models (which were a little flatter). This knife helps rock through food a little easier. The utility knife and paring knife aren’t much different in size so maybe the utility knife could be a little bigger (it seems a little redundant).

That’s nitpicking thought. This is a beautiful set.

For the last 20 years, I have been using the same knife set my parents got me when I went to college. They were cheap and serrated and never needed sharpening. But they also didn’t cut very well. Cutting a carrot seemed to take brut strength and let’s not get into slicing up a tomato or a piece of fish.

I love cooking and finally decided to buy some “Adult Knives”. I go the 7 piece Pro series block set. It has all the knives I wanted and none I didn’t. They are soooo super sharp right out of the box and they make preparing dinner such a pleasure.

If your knives aren’t a joy to use, it’s time to upgrade to the Zwilling Pro 7 Piece set. You won’t be disappointed!.

I absolutely love this knife set! The chef knife is amazingly well balanced and feels like it was crafted specifically for my hand. Paring knife is perfect size and I love the sharpness of the point.

My only complaints are the handle on the prep knife is small, the same size as the matching steak knife handle, so when I use that particular knife for too long my hand will cramp but still a beautiful knife overall.

I’m also not crazy about the block, some of the knives have some wiggle room and tend to not sit properly and that bothers my OCD but nothing functionally wrong with it.

Wood block is exactly as pictured. Knives are super sharp. Very happy with this purchase. Modern and looks great in my kitchen.

I actually haven’t got to use these yet I bought them for our new house once it’s done. I did take them out of the box and exactly the look I was going for. Hopefully they work as good as they look!

I had been wanting a complete quality knife set for sometime. I researched the prices, and found the best to be Bed Bath & Beyond with using their coupon. I was very excited to purchase a quality knife set which even had steak knives.

To say that I was disappointed in the quality, is an overstatement. There was only one really sharp knife in the bunch. The deboning knife did not fit in the knife-block correctly, and kept falling down into the block.

The worst were the steak knives with an edge like a tree saw. The steak knives just tore the meat without getting a clean cut, or a cut at all. Has J. A. Henckels sold there company, because the quality was terrible, and not what I rememberer and expected from this company.

Don’t be fooled by getting free accessories, or big sales, because the quality and workmanship are no longer a trademark of this company! By the way, I did call the company number. They were difficult to reach, said that only and Bed Bath & Beyond could help me.

The J. A. Henckels customer service person gave me less than 2 minutes of his time.

The knives are really sharp and hopefully will stay sharp with the self sharpening block I am however quite disappointed with the weight of the knives. The knives these replaced were if a much more substantial quality.

If I had seen these in a shop and handled them first I would not have purchased them. I would have expected a much better product as these were double the price I paid for my previous set. Will see how they perform long term but overall I am disappointed.

I would not recommend that you buy these if you want a substantial heavyweight set of knives. Probably worth no more than £35. Afraid that’s my honest opinion. Hart’s of Stur were perfect with their execution of the delivery.

I was very happy and excited when I bought this product in May 2020. They were sharp, cut through meat flawlessly, and overall was happy to have them, to the point that I recommended them to my sister-in-law and sister for them to buy same set.

The self sharpening block is also awesome. However, after one year of use, the handle of the knife started to shatter. About 4 of my knives had shattered handles. I mostly hand wash my knives, although occasionally, when they get so much grease, I put them at the dishwasher.

But again, this is seldom. I’m hoping that j. a. henckels will abide by their guarantee that they provide lifetime warranty to their knives. Hoping I could get the replacements. I will still give them 4 star as they are fairly good knives.

Lovely set, functional and top quality but one minor flaw, because it’s white it stains so easily. Wish there could be a cleaning method for the handle. This might have been my mistake but I had one of the small ones in the dishwasher and it got a but rusted on the side.

The only negative is that there’s alot of sawdust inside each slot. Canned air fixed that. I do wish that the steak knifes were serrated. Otherwise, a very pretty knife set that is very sharp.

Bought this as a gift for a wedding. However, I am very familiar with JA Henkels knives. These are quality knives that will last a lifetime. They are contained in a beautiful canister with a sleek modern design that takes up less counter real estate than a traditional knife block.

We received this knife set for our wedding. We love them! We try to be minimalist, and having four knives is perfect- we didn’t want a block with tons of knives. These 4 knives will do pretty much everything! The knife block is perfect- has a small footprint on the kitchen counter and we love the minimal look.

I chose the Zwilling Pro le Blanc self-sharpening knife set after extensive research, and I am so happy with my choice! The knife set is beautiful, and I specifically wanted vertically oriented knife slots.

One of the features I wanted in the knife set was for it to have capabilities that I could grow into using. I am in my early thirties, and I want to tackle a lifetime of new recipes, cuisines, and preparation techniques.

With the Pro le Blanc advertised as suitable for both Eastern and Western handling techniques, I feel confident that this set will support me in my explorations. I have been wanting a self sharpening knife set and when I saw these I knew they would be a perfect fit for my kitchen! They did not disappoint! They look great and so far seem very sharp. Not sure how the sizers get sharpened as the blades are closed inside the block.

The only negative thing I could say is that they included an extra slot for an additional 7″ knife and 4 steak knifes, I wish they would have included at least the 7″ knife for the price paid. I will probably purchase it, hoping it goes on sale soon :).

I was able to purchase this set on sale for half the price, and it really was an excellent deal. The set is beautifully constructed and looks nice sitting on my kitchen counter. The blades are very sharp and it is nice having the sharpening block to keep them that way without having to think about sharpening them.

This 3-piece knife set includes a paring knife, utility knife, and chefs knife. Its a great starter set for trying out this brand and would also make a wonderful wedding gift. The paring knife is a great size and can be used to cut small fruit like strawberries or kiwi.

The utility knife is serrated which makes it great for cutting things with a thick skin and soft inside. Its perfect for tomatoes, bread and the like but also for things not often considered like chocolate or nuts.

My next task for this knife will be cutting raw biscuits for dumplings. The chefs knife is a dream. I first used it for cutting up potatoes and I fell in love. Its weighted to be very comfortable in your hand and easy to control.

The sharpness makes the cuts smooth and clean. The size of the blade also makes it easy to use the knife to scoop pieces up and transfer to the pot or skillet. The recommendation says hand wash only, but Im a rebel Mom who works full-time so no one has time for that.

I stick them in the dishwasher and have had no issues. I think this set with continue to be an integral part of my kitchen for years to come. You will need good scissors to open the package. They are well packaged so they are in perfect condition; however, it is tricky to get them out without cutting yourself.

Beautiful set of knives; visually pleasing. The sharpness of the knives is great. The paring knife is my favorite out of the set and worked well. The chef’s knife worked well, and my only complaint about it is that’s it’s a little bit large.

However, some people really may like that size. The chef’s knife is great related to the size of my hand, but the chopping/dicing part of it is big; I’m a little picky with that. The serrated knife was great all the way around.

Worked well as the product said it would on the packaging label. The packaging instructions explained the use of the knives. The product delivered the intended function and cut meat with ease. I liked the visual appearance and the use of the knives the best.

I bought these knives this Spring. It took awhile to receive them. However, they are well worth the wait. From the moment that I pulled the first knife to chop vegetables, I knew from the weight and feel in my grip that I would never regret this purchase.

I can literally get rid of every other knife in my kitchen with the exception of my steak and butter knives. The artistic look is a bonus.

This is the most beautiful knife block I’ve ever seen and the quality of the knives is deliciously fantastic! The crisp ring of the Swedish steel as it slices thru a vegetable or a loaf of cinnamon bread is a true delight.

These knives are EXTREMELY SHARP. Husband and I both cut ourselves on our first tries, so just be careful – you are now a food surgeon, dealing with precision instruments that will blow all other knives out of the water.

These knives are a stunning addition to our kitchen counter! Not only are they stylish and beautiful, but so we’ll made. The tang runs all the way through the handle which has a nice weight to it. They are super sharp which makes that part of meal prep a breeze.
