20 Best White Lithium Grease (2022 Updated)

Was recommended this product on a car forum for curing creaks and squeaks. Had tried other lubes in the past but to no avail. Used this on all the moving parts (theres a lot in an SLK) and have been amazed at the results.

The car is almost silent now, just a couple of very faint creaks to track down. Top product, I was not expecting it to be this good. Simple and easy to use, although watch out for over spray! All in all great product and excellent service from Haverhill branch (as always, polite friendly and very helpful) Thoroughly recommend both the product and the Haverhill branch!.

When I first bought this I thought it was ‘a bit expensive’. I’ve used it to cut through steel, stainless steel and aluminium and it is very effective. I’ve also used it for tapping thread, mainly 8mm, and it makes for a very smooth job.

I’ve noticed that my drills are staying sharper in this process, the pilot drill tips in particular. I’ve also avoided breaking one of these since I started using this. Whatever the formula is, it’s a good one – a good mix of cutting, lubricating, heat dissipation and adhesion.

The can and dispenser tube make for accurate application – both to the cutting face and in quantity. So there’s minimal waste and mess and I was wrong. It’s not ‘a bit expensive’, in use it’s good value for money.

I was looking for a quality spray “White” grease to lubricate the Steering Column on my Nissan Note car. (there was persistant “knock” when turning at slow speed on full lock). This WD40 Lithium White spray grease proved to be just right for the job.

It adhered to the steering column splines and instantly cured the problem. (just remember to shake the can vigorously before use). The ajustable and folding nozzle was very handy – to enable one reach into restricted spaces on a car.

I can thoroughly recommend WD40 White Litthium Spray grease from screwfix. The price was great, and the service provided by Screwfix was excellent. Ordering on-line was easy and their “click & collect” service was quick and easy to use.

I needed a grease that would lubricate the pivot points of a canopy garage door. I looked online and found a video where the person in it recommended this grease. I ordered online at night and picked it up the next day.

It did exactly what it was supposed to do which was to lubricate the pivot points on my garage door. The thin nozzle straw made it easy to get the grease where it was needed. There should be enough for several more years.

I use this on my garage door springs and all other moving parts of my garage door. It prevents squeaking sounds, and my garage door moves smoothly. I use this product at the start of each season.

I had a horrible squeak in my steering wheel. I used this product. I now have a much lesser squeak in my steering week. I need to re-apply this and see if I can make it get either less, or go away entirely.

The latter is my preferred option.

Just grease. Sprays out more than CRC brand. Not better or worse. Just sayin’.

1 Sliding Door on 14 year old minivan was not opening (ie: stuck), so I took the minivan to a local auto body / mechanical repair shop. They found no major issues, but the tracks for the sliding doors needed lubrication.

They charged 1 hour labor, plus $5 for the white grease to lubricate the sliding door track the middle doors. 2 or 3 weeks later, the same issues occurred again, so I bought from Oreilly, 1 can of “Blaster White Lithium Grease” to spray the both middle door sliding tracks and rollers (wheels), all moving door parts and hinges, plus the alignment pins and sockets on all 5 doors and the door frames.

A few weeks later, the driver door was stuck closed, but I was able to open the later, so I sprayed all related parts of all doors again. I am guessing that when the White Lithium Grease drips, it is flushing out 14 to 15 years of road grit, grime, and dust from the doors parts ( hinges, tracks and rails, and alignment pins and sockets, and latches ).

Dealers sometimes only grease the lock mechanism for the hood.

Bought this as a suggested item to address a pesky squeak in the clutch pedal in our Chevy Sonic. First application didn’t resolve issue completely, but reduced the squeak to just releasing the clutch instead of both directions.

Second application didn’t completely work either but significantly reduced the high pitched squeak to a duller less irritating noise. After a about a week (no more applications), the squeak was gone.

Since application was up under the dash, I sprayed onto a paper towel and reached up under the dash to wipe it on the clutch pedal push rod and pedal attachment points. Resolved squeak.

This is for very specific applications. The output is a considerable amount of grease at high pressure. I’d imagine best for spraying something on an industrial machine like a frint loader. It is not for around the house applications as the output spray is A LOT! The smell is also too toxic to use inside a home.

Liquid wrench comes through again with an economical white lithium grease spray.

Used on overhead garage door… much quieter operation when opening and closing

Boat lift rollers live in a rough environment. A couple shots of this stuff on all the lift rollers and it went whisper quiet in operation. Also put a couple shots on the cover slide rollers on the dock and had the same result.

Used to take two hands to move that cover back off the boat. now I lean on it with just one and she rolls away smooth as silk. Good stuff here.

Works great for the appropriate job. I wouldnt use this on my coil over threads again. However, it works as advertised.

Used this to lube the rollers on my Hewitt vertical boat lift. Difference was night and day, as it was incredibly noisy prior to lube job.

This was recommended for crosstrainers but I have to say its no good at all for them – the roller wheels just rub it straight off when rolling over it – ended up with the grease sitting on outside edges of the base that the wheels run along, with a stripe along the middle where the grease was removed by the runner wheels.

so it was pointless. Even when I applied it to the wheels, it didn’t make any difference. Plus, it is white so looks awful smeared onto black exercise equipment.

So. why rate something like White Lithium Grease, you might ask? Well, few do, so why not! Ok. truth be known, this is something that is hard to screw up, but by not having a tube of this handy when doing auto upkeep/repairs is! We’ve all had that bolt that we have fought to remove and have said “oh if this only had some grease on it!”.

Well, here is a simple way to remedy that when doing your own repairs. It is inexpensive and a good thing to have in your tool box. If you ever wonder if putting grease on a bolt is a wise move or not, you are correct in thinking that.

Not every application warrants it. Just do a internet search and you will likely find someone who has an opinion one way or anther, and that can help guide you. Buy some. you will be happy to have it around, and your professional mechanic friends will think there may be hope for you yet!.

This makes good intermediate steering shaft grease. Runny enough to work around seal. Not too runny to melt down on the outside. Takes a day or so to work in, but gets that annoying squeaking out of the steering.

Also good for lawnmower cables. Good for the hood latch too.

If you have any kind of orbital da polishing machines, sanders, angle grinders drills etc) clean out the cheap Chinese grease where the gears are under the rotating pad (take the screws out to get to them) and replace it with Lucas White Lithium Grease.

Itll run heaps quieter with less vibration and friction. Youll see!!!.

In my actual car Id use Lucas products all the time, and anyone in the know also recommended them. Now in my R/C I also use their white Lithium grease and its just as good as it gets! Best grease hands down!.

This is a very good grease for low pressure, low speed applications such as garage door rollers, and slides and any where a white lithium grease is called for. Stays well on surface, doesn’t run or drip.

Lucas is known for quality lubricants.

My passenger door wasn’t latching properly. The grease cleared up the problem. Lith spray wouldn’t hold up past 1 day

I use it when I wear the ski boots to ease sliding in. It helps a lot, but I have not tried any other uses. After a day skiing I guess it kind of fades out because taking off the boots is not that easy.

This is a very high quality grease which I use for my 3D printer bearings, but it is also ideal for marine, automotive and home uses. A tiny smear is all you need to reduce friction and prevent corrosion.

WD-40 Specialist High Performance PTFE 400ml I have worked on vehicles both professionally and personally for approximately 33 years, I also worked in mechanical machining and engineering for 12 years.

I decided to purchase the WD-40 PTFE spray after a few hours spent online researching the product and viewing others reviews. Every grease and spray lubricant is designed for a specific purpose, it is in most applications essential to apply the correct type of lubricant in relation to the role and purpose of the component it is being applied and used on.

In addition, it is also essential to ensure that no other component used in the parts construction will be damaged by the addition of the grease or lubricant. Can you use another alternative lubricant or grease type that it is not intended for? Yes, in some applications this is possible, however i would pose this question, olive oil, lard, suet, butter, and margarine are also greases so would any sane person pack a wheel bearing or lubricate a component with these! Using an incorrect grease or lubricant can either cause immediate damage, or over a longer period of time cause rapid and significant wear of the part to occur.

(Example) Using copper grease on caliper guide pin bolts! I have seen dozens of user posts made on vehicle repair forums where people recommend or suggest using copper grease for this application, and truth be told used this myself for this exact application.

The end result, it worked; however in the process it caused severe wear to the guide pin bores and guide pins, I discovered many many years later my mistake, use a pure silicone grease only. One of the additional spray lubricants i have purchased for use is, WD-40 Specialist High Performance Silicone spray 400ml.

Technically this would be the correct grease type for this application then. NO, the WD40 silicone spray lubricant contains other oils and chemicals in addition to the silicone component, this applies to all spray lubricants, in addition it is a spray oils lubricant, and not a grease.

It will destroy the butyl rubber gasket seal on the guide pins and possibly the caliper piston seal if it contaminates it, this applies to all spray oils and greases. In this instance, for clarification purposes I first read the data sheet available for the PTFE spray on WD-40’s domain website, apparently the effect on other substrates and materials has yet to be clarified! Then i tested the WD-40 silicone spray on an old calipers guide pins and pistons rubber seals, the end result was that the seals swelled and expanded making them loose fitting and ultimately useless in sealing their intended components.

Does this mean that you should stay away from this or any other spray lubricant or grease? No, as mentioned at the beginning these lubricants are designed for specific application, just ensure you do not accidentally contaminate another non compatible plastic or rubber.

Use the correct tool for the job, and if in any doubt test and or read the sprays technical documentation. So how does the WD-40 Specialist High Performance PTFE spray perform. I used the spray on a vehicles handbrake cables, NOT the caliper; to re-lubricate the wire in the PTFE inner tube, the end result was a marked improvement in both the cables free moving operation, and the calipers handbrake arms themselves returning to their stops.

The PTFE spray applies precisely and easily using the available built in straw, and also provides even and good coverage if using the built in wide angle nozzle option. It dries to a tack free finish, which helps significantly in preventing clogging and sticking issues in the future for the item, as well as repelling excess dirt and dust contamination.

It will last a very long time, as their is sufficient quantity in the can for many applications to be applied. After a loooong winter, decided to give this product a try on the doors in my garage: the main garage door (which is 16 feet wide) and the side “man” door. Wiped the hinges on the doors and other moving parts (tracks, wheels, etc.

) to get rid of the dust and grime that had accumulated over the winter. After a quick spray, tried opening and closing the doors several times and things were definitely running quieter and smoother with no messy drips! The only reason I didn’t give this product the full 5 stars is the flimsy straw that is provided to be used to pinpoint the spray and often disconnects when used.

The original WD-40 was introduced in 1953 (though it probably didn’t have the straw then) so you’d think they’d improve this accessory after almost 70 years! Maybe a screw-on straw like the one used with expanding foam insulation? Overall though, a fine product.

I have been using silicone spray for years now produced by many different manufacturers. WD-40 is a brand that you can trust. Very nice that I can now pick up a can as needed at HF while I am there picking up other needed items as well as items I don’t need.

Silicone spray has a variety of uses. If it sticks, a little spray goes a long way. Excellent on window tracks, door latches, hinges, etc. Safe for plastic, rubber and vinyl. Also helps to clean many surfaces and leaves a non-staining rust preventing film for protection.

I use it on my model trains for initial cleaning before applying the appropriate lube. The built-in applicator tube puts it right where you aim it. Highly recommend keeping a can handy.

Greater volume than expected. I use this on the orings of my pcp air rifles. Doing a good job so far. Would give it five stars but havent had it long enough to make judgment on long term effect

Honda lawnmower would not roll backwards (known defect in year of purchased); Costs $60 to have wheels – trans box taken apart and cleaned yearly; NOW after a cutting, I stand mower vertically and spray CRC White grease on frame around back wheels; More importantly I spray axle opening on each site of trans box.

Mower will now roll backwards! Great product!.

So far this product has not helped the squeaking of our garage door. Have sprayed the track and rollers several times and it still squeaks. Was hoping it would solve this problem, but will have to find another product that will actually work for this purpose.

This is why I would not recommend it and gave it a low score. Might be useful for other applications, but not this one.

I use it when cutting steel or aluminum, from 1/2″ to 1/8″ thick using Harbor Freight blades and whatever sawzall I have immediately available. The blade stays clean, does not jam, is much easier to control and is so much easier to cut perfectly straight line in whatever I am cutting.

Merely derust both top and bottom of material, spray small amount on line to be cut , mark and cut. I also use it on door hinges, latches of cars and trucks – works great- 20 years no problems!.

Used it for my son’s red cat sumo truck. Replaced parts and needed to clean housings and replace lube. This work grate for it the plastic gears that the sumo has.

Great product to have around the house/work/job site. This beats plain old wd40 in terms of lasting treatment and easier to work with. This stuff really does spray nicely and doesn’t have such a bad smell as other.

I was happy with the fact that it dries quickly and doesn’t leave as much oily discharge. Having used this stuff in the past I can say that it gets rid of squeaks and lubricates very well and lasts a long time.

For instance I used to spray my door hinges every 6 months but with this stuff I haven’t had to for 2 years and counting. Would recommend for anyone who is a regular wd40 purchaser but wants the added benefits that this silicone version offers.
