20 Best White Rgb Fans (2022 Updated)

This is my first Corsair RGB fan. Unfortunately, not so good for me. I was hoping to use it with my ASUS ARGB header, and I still will. I just have had to purchase a conversion able as I don’t own nor intend to own the Corsair FAN/RGB controller.

This closed eco system is a rip off really. Great if you intend to go all our Corsair but I wish to mix and match various components that Corsair don’t support, such as my Team Group memory and an UpHere GPU support with ARGB.

Now I am moving to CoolMaster MF Halo fans. They work as good, if not better then these Corsair fans. They even support ARGB Gen 2, so now the Corsair eco system has no RGB advantage.

This LED thing can get quite addictive for the bored PC builder working from home. I recently built new desktops for myself and my son and used Fractal Design cases for both (a Define 6 and a 7). Mine was an Intel build and my son’s an AMD.

Both have Asus mobos with Corsair AIO LED cooling. Corsair have an Asus plugin to control the motherboard lighting and GPU lighting if you have an ASUS GPU card. The Corsair iCUE software controls everything really well, including these fans, of which we now have about 6 or 7 between us.

When they replaced the standard Fractal fans, which were already quiet, these were quieter and I can barely hear anything from my son’s PC when it is on. I upgraded his GPU so I could have his Asus 2070S, but his new AMD GPU is an MSI, so the LED on that is not in sync with the fans, mobo and cooler.

Mine is though 😉 I think we have 5 or 6 140mm fans and 1 120mm one and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for both quietness and appearance. You may need the hub and a USB header on your motherboard if you are going to use a few of these in sync.

Quiet for 140mm. Aesthetically pleasing. iCue has SEVERAL options for their ARGB customization. Try to stay with QL series or ARGB lighting may be slightly different between fans, but the internal and external perimeters are customizable.

Also, front and back lighting can be customized differently. Wish these had come in 3 packs.

These rgb fans are outstanding. Corsair sets the bar on rgb related products. These fans blow a good amount of air at default settings. Not loud at all until they ramp up, but when your gaming you dont even hear it, so not a deal breaker.

I took these to pc shop for install and they were done in 15 minutes, which included removing stock case fans. Totally customizable with ICUE software. Although you still need the Commander Pro to control the fan speeds and set fan curve, everything else is in this box that is needed as long as your MOBO is rgb compatible.

Mine was not so they installed a rgb hub for $20. These are a must buy if you love your lights. Individual control of each light on each fan, makes it like a disco party in your case. Highly recommend any Corsair product.

Customer service is top notch as well with very quick email responses to answer any questions on install.

Overall excellent fans. Great airflow, low noise, and very sleek look inside a case, especially with a white theme. I’m using 12 of these in a push/pull configuration, which is complete overkill, but temps never even close close to going above 50 celcius at ultra settings on any game.

And this is with very modest PWM curves. The price is the only potential “downside” to the LL Series, but if they are on sale for under 100, I would not hesitate to purchase them. These are truly well-built, excellent performing fans which check all the right boxes.

In my experience, Corsair has yet to disappoint with any of their products. Truly a great brand.

I filled my beQuiet! PureBase 500DX with 5 of these 140mm fans, and they are gorgeous. I thought I would be sad to not have RGB on the fan blades, but this I might even prefer: Bright, colorful RGB coming off of these in an interesting and unique shape.

When I took these out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality and premium feeling of these fans. As case fans, they’re also fantastic. 140mm gives your components tons of fresh, cool air.

They are not the quietest fans, but this is also because I run my case fans at a high RPM as I prefer airflow at the cost of noise. They’re very quiet sub-900 RPM, which your PWM probably doesn’t exceed.

I run my fans at a flat 1240-1350 RPM for reference. One of these fans is just another premium case fan, but they really shine when you have more than one: The daisy-chaining that Lian Li has come up with is simply awesome.

These fans hook together and can share both aRGB and PWM signal. My case has 40% fewer fan cables because of this feature, and it made building my PC a joy. It’s easy and intuitive, it’s that simple.

There are so many benefits to this, with zero drawbacks. Cons: the center bearing/motor of some of my fans wobble a bit. I can see them gyrate slightly, which makes them feel less premium. It varies between fans, which is indicative of some quality issues.

Disclaimer: I bought these on clearance at a discounted price (clearance meaning returned within 30 days by another buyer). I probably would not have bought these if it wasn’t for the discounted price.

If you like cable management like any good PC user, these fans are for you. They daisy chain together by sliding and locking in place. They’re pretty quiet too. I currently have 3 different types of fans in my case – a total of 5.

I replaced 2 fans with these, and I aim to replace the other 3. The RGB is great on them. The only downside is the RGB is just on the frame and not the blades, but the AL120’s which just released have RGB on the blades.

Lian Li is really leading the way with superior case management with these fans. The software is easy to download and use as well. The controller was easy to install in my case and is small enough that it isn’t in the way.

I highly recommend these fans for anyone who’s ready to spend a little more to achieve cable management.

I love these fans. They look great and function exactly as expected. The software is easy to use but is extremely bare bones. I ended up plugging the fans in the MB headers so I can use the motherboard software to set up my custom fan curves.

I saw a YT video where the person didn’t recommend plugging the fans into a motherboard header because the amps given on the fans is 0. 65 amps. But, that is for both the fans and RGB combined. According to the product page from Lian Li, the 140mm fans are 100mA and the RGB is 340mA per fan.

So, you can plug the fan cables into a motherboard header with no issue.

I had been looking for a set of decent RGB fans for some time, to upgrade the random assortment currently in my case. I have to say I’m really impressed with these, the RGB on them is good and bright and they shift a serious amount of air.

They replaced 2 nasty blue LED fans that were in the case as standard and an Arctic 120mm fan that I had added for exhaust. I feel that even running these at the minimum 800rpm, that they are flowing better than the Arctic, which was a decent fan, running at 100%.

So my system is now much quieter, which is a definite bonus. The fans come with a powered 6 port fan hub and RGB and fan speed controller. I’ve hooked them up to my touchscreen fan controller and left the RGB on its default rainbow setting, so I can’t comment on how well the controller works.

I purchased a three pack of these fans to install in a Fractal Meshify C case. The RGB in these fans looks great, they provide great air flow, but they are kind of noisy which is to be expected from static fans.

Overall I’m happy with these fans and would more than likely buy them again.

Good set of fans. I’ve never been disappointed with Lian Li products and these are no exceptions. They do run a bit loud as the lowest speed is 800 rpm (as opposed to some Corsairs at 400 rpm). Otherwise the lights look great, the fans do their job at a reasonable price.

I would like to start out by saying. yes there are cheaper alternatives to Corsair products. But you get what you pay for. Having individually addressed LEDs is awesome and having software that is as comprehensive as iCue is even cooler.

They have spent a lot of time in research and development and it shows. The customizing is endless and I have caught myself spending way more time nerding out with iCue than I should admit. Regardless, these lights scream personality! If you want to own your build, it’s hard to argue with Corsair products.

iCue integrates really well with their other products and I love the effects I can create across my case. iCue updates are regular and the software gets better and better as they improve. If you are looking for CFM monsters.

this is not what you want. If you’re looking for silent. this is not what you want. But if your goal is to create a center piece of a computer that gets compliments on the regular, this is a great place to start.

I have six of them shoved into a Corsair case and I have no problems keeping my temps down. If you have the cash to spend and want to create cool visuals that interact with your gaming, these fans are awesome!.

As a person who has used several fans from several brands, I have never been so impressed with the build quality and execution of a fan. A quick overview – these fans are virtually silent and push a great amount of air being non-static pressure fans.

The RGB just happens to be the cherry on top. My prior experience was with corsairs MagLev fans that are also very quiet and these beat those out by a significant margin and are built even better. The rubber grommets where the screws go in are perfectly molded where the screw recesses into the fan housing perfectly as to not stick out and I don’t even have the thought of hearing vibration.

I can tell that the engineering team that built these fans was given a blank price range and told to just put their hearts into this because these fans are amazing AND expensive. Full transparency – I bought these fans at $90 for a 3 pack and I bought 3 3 packs and a 1 pack from the Zon for a total of 10 fans which brings me to my only problem with the fans.

Most cases have 6 fans generally however in the mid to full-size cases you use 7-10+ fans and connecting them to two nodes is a pain if you want to control them. Make sure you connect the fans sequentially 1 then 2 then 3 because if you connect them to any open port and you break the chain then every light after the gap won’t work.

For example, let’s say you plug 5 into the node 1,2,4,5,6 – 4,5 and 6 won’t light up so make sure you don’t break the chain if you chose to use two nodes. I used the commander core and the node and then a 4 pin splitter on my MOBO for the final 4 fan headers (non-RGB) because the Node only has 6 spots for RGB and the Core or Commander Pro only have 6 4 pin fan spots so you have to either use two cores, pros or connect to the motherboard which can be a pain.

Getting out of the weeds here – once you get these fans hooked up and everything established these are bar non the best fans on the market from performance, sound, build quality, and RGB. They are so good I would pay full price – which is high around 130 ish but they do go on sale if you get the chance.

Final end of the line verdict – these are the fans to beat right now and if you care about RGB and longevity then these are the way to go.

Unless I’m doing something stupid wrong, the SP120 PRO’s don’t seem to want to work with the included Node CORE. Only fan #1 lights up and white. I select SP Fans and the fans don’t respond to any changes in the software.

Selecting other fan models, they respond somewhat differently, but obviously not as desired. I have an older 570X case and the built in SP fans work perfectly with the Node CORE. After a little research, the older SP fans are non-PRO apparently.

Not sure I want to buy multiple kits to piece-meal a working solution. The one kit should work as designed. Did I get the wrong controller or wrong fans? I have it set to return these, but if these are a mistake, perhaps I’ll exchange instead and see what happens.

Fans move a decent amount of air, are very quiet, and produce very nice RGB effects. They were easy to mount like any other fan, the included hub was very useful, and it was easy to understand the instructions.

My only complaint is with the iCue software. It is not very intuitive or user friendly and if you aren’t good at figuring out software it’s probably going to irritate you. It’s capable of producing some nice effects and you can create lots of interesting profiles but it’s just laid out poorly and not very well explained.

These are also pretty overpriced for what they are. Considering you can get full ARGB fans that don’t require proprietary hubs for similar prices you’re definitely paying a Corsair tax here. But if you can find them on sale or if you already have Corsair components they definitely aren’t the worst rip-off around and it’s better than buying the cheapest fans you can find and replacing them after a year when they seize or start to hum.

Pretty pleased with them. If they were 15 bucks cheaper and had better software they’d be a 5/5.

I think these are decent. I really like the design of them. The contesting black and white looks really good. If you’re looking for static pressure fans, though. I would go with something else. As these are hybrids.

Also, they’re non-reversable. Meaning there is no LED’s on the opposite side and the front isn’t completely flat, so even if you didn’t care about the LED’s and flipped this around, they wouldn’t sit flush with the case.

But that’s not a bad thing! I love these :).

Got this for a black/white themed build. The fan is high quality, good to build with. You do have to get NZXT’s controller and their software to make it fully work RGB-wise if you don’t know how to reverse engineer what they have done.

Kinda like Apple, so I can’t give it 5 stars. The RGB is good if you like it. You can turn it off if you want, or just don’t plug in that bit. When the fan is running it’s fairly quiet and doesn’t make any annoying sounds so there’s the 4 stars for that.

looks amazing in white case, easy to use software, bright rgb with great colours. surprised by how much air it moves and is really quiet. keeps all components cool.

These set of fans are excellent due to its wide variety of RGB customization options, amazing airflow, and its daisy chaining feature. The only gripe that I have with this product is that the RBG lighting of the fans does not immediately load the user edited settings upon booting on after the power supply has been turned off and on.

Additionally, PWM control just blasts the fans to full 1900 RPM without ceasing (whenever the power supply is reset, the PWM settings get messed up). E. g I set all of the RGB of my PC to green only.

After shutting down my PC, I always switch the power supply off as well. whenever I switch on the power supply and boot my PC up, the fans light up to its default rainbow color. But after the software controller has loaded up on desktop, it turns back to green again.

This issue can be fully prevented by not turning the PSU off. I would have given this product 5 stars if it wasn’t for this issue.

The build quality of the fan was more than I was expecting for the price. The corners have rubber pads to dampen vibrations. These fans support Addressable RGB lighting with a dual loop (hub and perimeter).

They are quiet with a speed range of around 650 to 1800 rpm. They are also 4-wire PWM controlled fans. The rifle bearings mean they are quiet and will last a long time. They use industry standard connectors and will easily connect to MB headers for fan and ARGB control.

The included ARGB controller is limited in what it can do but it gets you going if your MB doesn’t have an ARGB port, and repurposing the reset button to cycle the colors is a pretty clever. Also it doesn’t seem possible to stop the fans with a 0% PWM value, they always hit a 650 RPM minimum limit – which is virtually inaudible anyway.

Would most definitely recommend.

Decent fans for the price they are. They’re practically like the Corsair fans just $100 cheaper. Though not all Cooler Master fans are good. I had to get these to replace the fans that came with my Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240R.

The fans on that water cooler are absolutely horrible, they were all leaking bearing fluid and rattling like crazy within weeks of getting the water cooler. They were moving up and down more than spinning.

Since getting these Halo fans it has been so much better. They work perfectly and I already had the rest of my case fitted with them for a few months now. That being said, the lights on these fans might not be that great.

The Halo fans that were already fitted in my case are a different color than these new ones. When I installed these 3 I noticed that the colors were off. I set the RGB to a pink and all my previously fitted Halo fans would be pink but these 3 new ones are more purple.

These 3 new ones seem to have a stronger blue light than the rest that I have. Unsure yet if this is due to the lights being bad and already degrading in my few month old fans or if manufacturing for these fans aren’t great.

Due to how bad their software is, I can’t adjust the fans colors individually to make them seem like they’re the same color.

It’s a good set of 3 fans. All can share the same 3pin RGB header and 4pin fan header. Includes screws with a nice finish. You can link the fans together in sequence with both the RGB and Fan cables.

They have optional shrouds that can help the cables stick together a bit easier especially in tighter routing. Main issue is the cable length which depending on your header location may not reach. For a top mounted fan with top accessible headers on the motherboard there is some cable excess but it would not reach the bottom of the board if that were needed without the purchase of an additional extension.

This fan is very loud. In comparison to the previous generations of Corsair’s 140mm fans, this is turbo loud but without much airflow improvement. I have 7 fans in my aged PC, including liquid CPU cooling fans, all of which are Corsair 140mm’s or 120mm’s.

They all live in a Corsair 780T case. One of them span with noise just recently, so I thought it needed replacement. After installation, this new one actually runs louder than the noisy problematic one that it has replaced.

All other fans still run as quiet as usual even on max speed. And I thought technology these days advances in the speed of light? So I swapped the new one out, with an even older Corsair fan without LED that came originally with the case 7 years ago.

It now runs smooth and quiet. I am also in the process of getting a brand new desktop; just haven’t decided on how much damage to break the bank yet. With Corsair fans running so loud like this, I will perhaps consider other choices.

If I had the money I would have bought two more for my case so that the outflow was better, hopefully they will go on sale again so I can afford them they really are nice fans. Thanks to all who make this possible.

I imagine that if I had better outflow my temperatures would go down even further as right now there is a bottleneck in airflow. These really are nice fans they would be quiet if I kept them at the same rate of airflow as my other fans but I wanted to secure my computer for longer life so I have them at max.

Amd Ryzen High Performance energy settings and its a X570 mb, Ryzen 9 3900x CPU, Radeon RX 470 video card. The temperatures with nighttime ambient temperature outside being 81 at 11:37pm and indoor ambient temperature being 70.

7 the temperature of the processor is 89 Fahrenheit average of 3800 mhz to 4200 mhz the motherboard temperature is 77 Fahrenheit then the south bridge temperature is 102 Fahrenheit. fan speeds reading at 2400 -2500 rpm (case fans these fans listed here).

CPU fan speed reading 1500~ rpm and south bridge reading at 930. output fan is reading really weird as it isn’t PWM but I know its probably around 1200 – 1400. The point is that these fans work 89 f, 77 f, 102 f, @ 70.

7 ambient room temperature isn’t bad at all especially for a Ryzen 9 3900x which is notorious for very high temperatures max temperature of 90 c not f is what it is capable of going to before meltdown.

I wish you all the best on your purchase but if you do decide to go with these fans they are mag lev. so they won’t wear down because of bearing failure.

While I used to adore Corsair, I’m coming to the realization that they’re greedy and completely overrated. I have their case, ram, psu, m. 2 ssd, fans, keyboard, mouse, headset. and I’m kind of over it at this point.

Granted, the fans move a lot of air. But that’s about it. Not really impressive considering how expensive they are. And they don’t even include the long screws to mount to your radiator if you have a loop.

The fan header cable is too short. And my goodness, these fans are loud – definitely adjust your fan curve as soon as you install them. The only good thing about these fans is that they do what fans are meant to do – move air.

If you like blowing dolla bills, want your pc to sound like it’s going to explode, or enjoy the soothing sounds of jet engines – buy this. At this point I’m considering moving on to a different brand, maybe Thermaltake as they have more reasonably priced items at a very similar quality.

It’s fans. It’s Corsair fans. They cool your pc. Or maybe they exhaust the heat from your pc. Either way they’re great at what they do. Such good little fans. Seriously, they’re RGB fans from Corsair.

They’re not the fans with 14 million LEDs or anything. Just 8 chill little LEDs in the fan hub. As far as the LEDs go, they match the lighting on the fans that come with the new Corsair AIOs. Unfortunately these fans don’t have magnetic levitation bearings.

As far as airflow aka cooling performance goes. These bad boys can cool lava instantly. They move lots of air across/through my case keeping the NVMe drives, VRM heatsinks, RAM, and everything else cool.

This also includes feeding that hot boy GPU some fresh, cool air to keep him happy. We all know how hard it is to get a GPU so, you gotta keep your GPU happy and cool until things turn around and you can upgrade.

Overall, buy these fans. They’re not that expensive, they’re pretty dope, can cool lava (don’t try at home) and they have a little RGB, but not so much RGB that a plane pilot will think your case is the markings for an airfield landing strip.

Corsair has never let me down. Leaving console gaming behind in light of the PS5/XBOX Series X shortage and converting to PC has been the best thing I have ever done. These Corsair fans perform well and iCue rgb lighting software is phenomenal!! Def recommend this purchase.

I have purchased many Corsair products in the past and remain loyal. If you’re looking to add rgb lighting and better air flow, waste no time.

I would recommend getting 3 dual 140mm packs (6 total) if your case allows it because the lighting node core has maximum 6 ports. This is really up to you. Quiet fans. Nice beautiful RGB but not too bright.

White fans match my white P600S case. I’m not very impressed about thermal performance though. Recommend buying them when they go on sale. Edited: The Arctic P14 performs better but they don’t come in 140mm ARGB White version yet.

The only ARGB fans they have is 120mm black version (at least for now).

These fans are amazing for builds that require 5+ fans in your system. My system is currently running 10 fans (6 of which are the 120mm AL variant, mounted with 3 at the top and 3 at the bottom of the case).

The daisy chaining is done properly, adding no additional cable mess compared to NZXT’s attempt (simply just snap the fans together and add a fan cable to one end). Included in the 3x fan package is an RGB fan hub with 3 available ports for RGB and Fan (this is the lowest quality part of everything, however it gets the job done).

The RGB lighting is great, and even though I’m not a fan of RGB on the actual blades these fans look amazing. The back support is low profile with no voltage printing (a simple X pattern also makes it less obtrusive to any build aesthetic, and gives you less stress over the orientation and fan-physics of the build).

The only downside is the price and software. Like everything Lian-Li, with high quality and engineering comes high price, and at $115 USD a pack of 3 is no small purchase. In terms of software, L-Connect is bare-bones, but it gets the job done (I found that setting the fans to PWM and adjusting the curve in your BIOS is the best option, as there is no way to make a curve through the software).

If you are planning a build that requires additional fans and has a tempered glass or other transparent side panels, these fans are a great option. I think for the extra cost the quality and aesthetic these fans bring is absolutely worth it.

These fans connect together without the needs of extra wires. I purchased a three pack since my OEM case fans had the bearings going out and the grinding noise from there was just to unbearable. Before I purchased these I didn’t really do much research on case fans as I usually would with other components because I figured I would just get some new corsair fans that matched the old ones I had.

However when I had the associate recommend these fans to me I figured I would just try them since I wasn’t to picky. Now that I own these fans I can say for sure that I will be purchasing them again in the future! For starters the lack of wires needed created such an easy installation without me needing to run cables and hide them accordingly.

Also the RGB is absolutely amazing! Compared to my old fans these air noticeably brighter as well as noticeably quieter. As of right now I would say the only CON I have for these fans is the software for them is not as nice as some others like Logitech or Corsair, but this is not a deal breaker by any means.

(especially since I use armory crate for all of my lighting anyways and there has yet to be a software out there to be as terrible as that one. ) Overall I would say these are a great purchase that I would make again in the future.

These fans are quite nice. They connect together and only need 2 cables to plug into the fan hub, so it makes cable management a bit better. Rpm range is from 800 to 1900, and they remain relatively quiet.

Not as good as Noctua, but still pretty decent. Nice range of rgb options as well, although I mainly have them set to a static color or off. Now the reason for the 3 star rating. I’ve bought two of the 3 packs, and have had 2 fans, one from each pack, fail in less than 6 months since purchase and install.

The first fan started to make a rattling noise, which I could do a temporary fix by tapping the top of the fan. But after a short amount of time, the rattling would return. As for the 2nd fan, it just stopped spinning.

I had them all set to the max speed, but 1 of them was spinning at just 400rpm. Possibly even less. The limited 2 year warranty has been great. Easy to send a request, quick to get a response, and replacement fan.

However, I think $115 for 3 fans + hub is just too much money, especially having 1 fan fail in the first 4 months, then having a second fail just 2 months after the first.

So let me start off by telling you something after 2 hours of googling I finally found a straight answer for. These fans will not light up without a controller hub, Which you cannot by separate in New Zealand (Unless some place custom orders it).

So these fans should not be sold as singles rather as additions to the 2-3 packs that come with a 6 port fan hub (need 1 free USB slot on MB per hub or you need to order a separate Corsair controller/s on top).

On the back of the packaging in tiny writing it does tell you that “RGB requires corsair hubs to work” What it doesn’t tell you is this includes the ability to even light up in the first place, something other LED/RGB fans often do.

Straight up who reads the back of boxes for known products, also not pointed out by staff at purchase, a very important fact overlooked. The only good thing about these fans is the fan itself will work (without lighting up at all) & run like normal Corsair SP fans when plugged in.

This is the case for all Corsair Series Single Fans.

Bought 6 to put into my New Corsair 1000 D (Monster Case) grab to many for it. Was able to use 4 out of the 6 fans. Now it’s time to mess with Corsair ICue to synce all lights together. The set works well with Corsair i150 cooler iCue and Corsair 1000 D case ( which it comes with its own case controller) was able to hook it up to the controller to expand the fan and lights.

If you love RGB and quietness than these fans are the ones you’re looking for. The lighting modes are beautiful. Before installing these fans The temperature of my GPU ( EVGA 3080) while gaming at ultra 4K would reach 80-83° C.

I installed these Bad boys on the roof Of my case to push the air out. Now I barely get 65°C.

These are an awesome set of fans right out of the box. I had the same style and brand of fans in my case and the RGB lighting stopped working. So I bought these to replace the old ones. The RGB lighting is very bright and vibrant, a ton of different colors and themes to change to.

You could have a different color theme every day of the year! Great cooling for your CPU. We will see if they last as long as stated in the description. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and amazed at the quality of the product!.

08/10 Update: possible bad batch of RGB LEDs across multiple corsair products. Pictured are 3 of the 4 fans that has defect on the RGB. This problem was also present with the Dominator RGB ram kits. The newest replacement(ram) have yet to show any issues.

I have also been having issues with Corsair’s RMA process, the department that handles fans seems to be extremely delayed/non-existent. I’m still waiting for the advanced RMA refund after 3 weeks since the return of the 4th fan not shown in the pictures, which also had the same issue, just on a different spot.

Between how bright it is and the customization you get from iCue, these fans are one of the best RGB fans you can probably get as of July 2021. You can always depend on Corsair for quality. Even if you run into defects, their warranty/RMA process is still one of the best in the industry.

With that said, the fan speed isn’t adequate if you’re depending on it for cooling @1500rpm max, especially if it’s a bottom intake against the slits in my O11-Dynamic. I personally don’t like the RGB not being defused across the whole ring.

Each individual RGB bulb is really visible. Comparing to the Lian Li Uni fans, it looks like an inferior product.

They’re every bit as nice to look at as one might expect. Their functionality is at the top end of what Corsair has to offer, aesthetically. They’re not standing out with regard to thermals, but if you bought these at all, you weren’t looking at those performance values.

It’s nice that they come with a fan hub, but if you’re pairing them with the new Cappelix AIO, it needs to run on its own included RGB/fan hub, so the provided fan hubs with these fan kits are just e-waste.

If you’re buying a chassis because it comes with a controller and/or fan hubs, save the money and buy a stripped down version if you’re just intending to gut it anyway. Corsair ICUE software is highly customizable, easy to use, and the amount of non-Corsair hardware it supports its very helpful for those of us hoping to one day control all of our RGB with a single app.

If you’re building a PC with RGB, you’re doing it for aesthetics, plain and simple. You want your case to match, and so you’re replacing front panel intake, radiator exhaust and rear panel exhaust. For me that was 6 fans, so 2 of these 3-pack kits, and that ran me over $300.

So the question becomes, are you willing to pay this premium versus the value-add? Let’s hope things get better soon.

Pros: its quiet, good flow and the colour effects are pretty good

It is the best fans and quiet with airflow efficiency.

As the title says, you get what you pay for here. The Corsair LL120 RGB fans are significantly more expensive than comparable non-RGB, non-Corsair 120mm fans, but these are not “grab some fans from the fan bucket” fans.

There are rubber shock-isolation pads around the corners of the fans to prevent the fan vibrations from travelling into your system, the fans will run right up to 2300RPM if you tell them to, and they’re whisper quiet below 1k RPM.

RGB setup was a breeze, especially compared to other RGB products I’ve set up (looking at you, Cooler Master). Not a whole lot of extraneous cables to deal with, everything plugs into an obvious spot, and once it’s plugged in it just works.

I do recommend picking up a Commander Pro to go with these; I bought a total of 6 LL120 fans (1x 3-pack and 3x singles) and the Commander Pro is able to power and control all six fans with temperature data from the chipset itself pulled over a USB header, and powered by SATA power rather than PWM from the motherboard.

It simplified the process of connecting that many fans greatly, and it was very easy for me to set up custom fan curves in iCUE so that they’d speed up or slow down based on how hot the hardware closest to them is.

Anyway, if you want great-looking white RGB fans that are easy to set up and also work very well as fans, buy these fans.

I made the mistake of buying LL fans over QL. I had thought that air direction on these were blowing OUT from the logo side of the fans, meaning the RGB light rings would be facing inward on my intakes, which is what I wanted.

However, that’s not the case – SO BE AWARE. The LL’s don’t have RGB rings on the backside, so if you’re using them in very visible locations for air INTAKE, you might want the QL variant of these fans.

Other than that, I have no real complaints other than the myriad of cables on the fans. LianLi’s unifans use an innovative snap-together design that eliminates 4 cables per 3-fan config. So UniFans could have saved me from wiring up 12 additional fans in this case.

However, don’t let that detract you from the excellent quality of these fans, and their lighting. The build quality is great, they are pretty darn quite < 1400rpm, and work great with Corsair's ICUE software.

Would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for good RGB, fans, just be aware of the caveats I outlined above.

I’ve pretty much used Cooler Master HSF’s exclusively for as long as I’ve known of them (around 20ish years). My previous System used an Hyper N520 which performed reliably for 10 years. So It was a no brainer to go with the evolutionary design for my new 10700K.

While the Hyper 212 is highly compatible with numerous sockets, it requires a whole bunch of various and small component parts which are both a little confusing to assemble, and not to mention easy to damage or lose if you’re not careful.

What I really don’t like about this thing though, is the metal fan clips. It comes with one fan preinstalled, which you do need to remove to put the socket mounting parts on. it was a little annoying getting it lined back up right before installing it into the case, but then adding/replacing fans once inside the case proved to be very, very annoying (Esp because I have huge hands).

I replaced the stock fan with 2 Bgears b-PWM’s (Red and Blue), and getting the clips to fit snugly was just. a trial in frustration, to put it mildly. They just wouldn’t fit snugly till I made a couple of bends (outward, not inward).

I didn’t break out the micrometer, but while they are both standard 25mm total width, this is likely a result of slightly different design Dimensions between the Silencio Fan it came with and the BGears b-PWM’s I installed in it’s place which are much higher max flow rate (110CFM), but also seem to be more lightly constructed.

This is NOT a negative on the Silencio fan at all, it’s just that airflow capacity was more of a priority for my needs then silence (My system has sound matting installed inside to deaden the roar from the 3X140MM&1X4X120MM b-Blaster intake & exhaust fans.

Yes, they are massive overkill, but for my needs it’s calculated overkill. You’ll just have to trust me on this trhough, because this is about the Hyper 212, not my “ode to excess” of a PC). Given a choice, I would have preferred to more b-Blasters to the Hyper 212, but they are 38mm wide, and just wouldn’t fit between it and both the memory DIMM’s or the VRM heatsink on the Asus Z-590 Prime board I’m using.

So the b-PWM seemed like my next best option, but other brand/model’s of fans may not run into the same problem I did. It depends on the exact manufactured dimensions. The good and bad news about the metal clips is that they only seem to be used on the 212 BE, while the RGB BE and other versions of it use plastic clips that screw into the fan instead.

You COULD replace them with the plastic ones, which are listed on CM’s webstore, but always seem to be out of stock, and can’t be gotten anywhere else. Why they even use the metal clips on this model I can only conjecture (Cost savings, probably), but I suppose you could figure another way to rig them in using Wire tires or maybe even fashioning your own metal clips, or even printing your own plastic ones if you have the ability to do that.

But that’s probably something everyone will need to figure out for themselves.

I recently bought a Powerspec desktop with a 12700KF that came with this cooler installed and it did not perform very well. Any CPU test I ran (Intel Burntest, ADA 64, etc. ) would quickly get all cores into the mid 90s and most cores would hit a peak of 100C after several minutes.

I see similar results in my normal workflows (not stress tests). Exports from my photo editing software got similar temps. My CPU is running at stock speeds. I tried new thermal paste, adjusting fan curves.

nothing could get temps down to a reasonable range on this cooler. Finally gave up and installed a quality air cooler (Mugen 5 black) and getting much better results. I’m assuming my unit is defective, as reviews say this cooler should perform much better than I experienced.

Mine appears to be working properly. The pump is running and fans spin full RPM, so idk why the temps are so high? My advice: run a stress test and check your temps! Don’t assume.
