16 Best Wicks For Candles (2022 Updated)

I am enjoying making candles with these candle wicks. I love that they stick to the bottom of the jar and stand up straight while I’m pouring in the hot wax and they are long enough so that I can wrap the excess wick around a table knife to insure the wick stays in the middle of the candle as it’s sets.

Very easy to trim the wick once the wax has set. Love getting more burning time on candles where the old wick wasn’t long enough to use all the wax and also the candles that had the wicks slip under the wax from using a candle warmer.

Now I can enjoy my candles till the wax is totally melted.

The wicks are lower smoke/soot than some of the candles I have. The wicks burn well. These are decent quality and price. The kit has everything needed. I reuse wax (relatively compatible scents) from old/used candles to make new ones.

This product is exactly as discribed and does a fantastic job in my home made candles. The sticky tabs included in the price makes even better value. I like the burn rate even and consistent.

Was really excited to get this, but it was missing the wicks and the centering tools. The wax was in an open bag that used a string to tie it closed. It was not closed. I’ve never been so disappointed with a purchase this year.

First time using it and my candles turned out beautiful and melted nicely and has a beautiful color to it when it dries

These wicks are of a high quality and are a great addition to a naturally sweet smelling beeswax candle. I was really happy how they complimented our high quality wax and were just what we needed to make very top quality candles.

I love it a lot! i’ve been using it every day and now I need more candle wick holders!

Great wicks they burn slow and don’t smoke the tabs stick real well hold in place when you pull on them or even try to remove to recenter them the really are great hold well would recommend.

I’m the one who just posted a review with all those pics. After gifting the mini birthday cake candle that I painted and glittered up on top, the lady I gave it to inquired about the safety of lighting it around all that glitter.

My new online research points out that this could be a safety concern. Depending on what type of glitter it is, it could be more or less hazardous (flammable as well as toxic if it burns!) So, I hope my mistake will help others to avoid that potential danger.

I’m going to quit sprinkling glitter on top of my candles, just in case. Usually, I just sprinkled a little and it’s been alright (as far as I know). But this was too much glitter probably and could be more dangerous depending on what it’s made from.

I was trying to repurpose melted candles and a candle container I had. The prior candle had three wicks, so I replaced them with three of these wicks. Everything went well until I lit my wicks. Their flame was much taller and larger than I had anticipated, so I had to be extra careful that they did not burn or catch anything on fire.

The wicks also burned hotter than the prior wicks that had been in the reused candle container. I know this because cracks appeared in the glass and eventually the container shattered, sending wax flying everywhere.

I wish the wick had come with instructions that detailed recommended use in terms of how many wicks should be placed in a candle per unit area. The three wicks I used were too much for my candle (20 oz, 4.

From painting, knitting, flower arrangements, plus many more right down to children’s crafts learning beginners crafts.

The wicks burned out rather quickly within 30 minutes to an 1 hour max for me and did not wanna relight after trying many times tried with 2 different candles we made. very disappointed also Did not receive the 3M stickers that were promised as a gift.

🙁 seen some bad reviews on Amazon on these wicks. A lot of people gave a 1 star rating they claim the Wicks burn and fizzle out fast and they don’t stay lit long.

I havent tried them yet but friends say they are great!!

These are very easy to use and more importantly, lead free! I have not been able to find lead free candles at retail stores so decided to make my own. I prefer these since they have a little weight at the bottom.

This small package is just right for trying out simple candle making with essential oils. Price was very reasonable!.

Wicks ok but inconsistent. Originally received the wicks advertised, but most recent purchased, received different wicks, not braided as pictured – just basic cotton wicks. It requires a lot of testing, so changes to the wick can make a big difference.

Promised a refund by joann. com support, but never received it. Will have to shop elsewhere.

Daughter loves candle making and she was running low on her usual wicks. These were perfect for her and the cand burned so smoothly.

I started making candles years ago but I found this make your own Wick yay it’s a little pain but save your money. I’m in the learning process here bare with me so far I like this item. The next time I make a batch I’ll take pictures and share if I remember lol.

This is Great Stuff. It is a small wick and I use several on large diameter candles. Burn well, no smoke.

The wicks worked fine, but be aware that this is very small wicks and metal.

I use these wicks to make my own at home candles for gifts. They’re nice and long, so they make unique sizes containers for candles as well.

I used this so many times that it worked even better than twine or Jute. It was easy to use and easier to store. Made over seven candles!

I really can’t properly rate these because they were too narrow for the oil lamp hole and therefore burned too quickly.

It was something I bought for my daughter. She wanted to remake some candles. Said they worked perfectly.

I looked at specs section and the wicks are listed as 5″. I’m guessing that is the length of the wick. .8” CANNOT be the thickness, and what could the 3.5″ measurement possibly be???

Recently I purchased two antique oil lamps. I got them at a great price and was eager to start cleaning and using them. Never did it occur to me that I may not find what I needed in the small town where I lived.

I was unable to locate something as simple as oil lamp wicks. Then I googled what I wanted and found the Antique Lamp Supply store. After ordering and receiving my wicks, it was easy to install them.

Next power outage we know we can rely on these lamps to supply light. I will visit this store soon to view their supply of merchandise. Ann D.

All was wonderful. High quality. Fast delivery. Good packaging etc but two pieces of cotton Wicks 8 inch long should not have cost over $5 shipping. I did query it in the special instruction portion of the order form but no one ever got back to me.

The two wicks only added up to $3. 60! Seems a bit unfair as there was no glass shipped so packing materials needed, ie, foam kernels or bubble wrap. Cannot fault the service though.

I installed a new wick a couple days ago and it burns even and bright. The other online store I looked at would only sell a roll long enough to the supply an entire country for a lifetime. These precut lengths are perfect.

We use our lamp for our power supplier’s constant power outages and as a cozy table centerpiece whenever we eat dinner outside.

20 pre waxed wicks for candle making, well all I can say is they are extremely functional and a necessary part of home candle making. For which the end results are endless, and of course cheaper making your own.

First time I have used these wicks and they proved very effective. With a consistent burn that produced a good pool of wax the result was a container candle which melted consistently. Happily use again.

I could only buy a plastic patio candle this year, but with a pair of these wicks, I rejuvenated the old ceramic bowl with the wax from the plastic one. It’s behaving perfectly!
