20 Best Wide Dress Shoes (2022 Updated)

I hate dress shoes. I hate that I have to wear them to work. I do not hate these. I think I love them. Like all Clark’s, they are crazy comfortable. The padding inside is straight up luxurious but somehow sleek and thin and doesn’t make my feet hot.

The leather is beautiful and supportive but comfortable. The side slits with the elastic expansion should be a standard feature on all dress shoes, as it makes them immensely more comfortable and adaptable for different foot sizes.

My feet used to ache in a band right around that area from my shoes compressing me, regardless of the lace tightness, but with these slits that problem is annihilated. The tread is decently grippy, which can also be hard to find.

My feet are a bit wide so I went a half size down with these and got the WIDE style, which fits me perfectly width wise and has plenty of length room if not a bit too much. I also love that the toe is not as aggressively pointy as many other shoes; going the half size down definitely helps mitigate that.

These shoes are definitely very worthy of the excellent reviews they receive. I always spend time reading reviews to ensure I get the very best for my money, and it was the same with these. They are probably the most comfortable shoes I’ve owned and I spend at least 10 hours a day wearing them without any complaints.

Excellent comfort and quality which we’ve come to expect from such a highly reputable brand such as Clarks. If you’re in any doubt as to whether you should buy these shoes,. don’t be, just buy them, you won’t be disappointed! 10/10 for me! ****One thing worth noting though is, I usually wear a men’s size 12 in everything, but these came out pretty huge so I exchanged them for 11s which were very well fitting.

I was excited to get these new shoes. They looked great online and there were many good reviews. They arrived in good time. I wore them two days later. Sadly, I have only worn them once. Walked through the park to church and then to a couple of appointments in town through the afternoon and evening.

Not excessive. Just basic walking that I would do any given day. The whole time it was digging into my left heel just below the achilles. I dealt with the pain but by the end of the day I was limping to keep it from rubbing any more that it had to.

When I got home I had a deep bruise and a blister a little bigger than a dime about an inch up from the sole of my foot. It has been one week since I wore them and the blister is finally gone down and hardened.

I have no idea if I can stretch the shoes so I can wear them again without the digging and rubbing and more blisters and bruising but if I cannot this was a wasted purchase. I cannot return them after wearing them around a whole day.

Just as the title states the eyelet broke after wearing them four times. The shoelace went right through the leather and is currently being held by the stitching.

I initially bought two pair and after about a week I purchased two more. I wear these shoes everyday during my twelve hour shift and they remain comfortable throughout the day.

Went looking for comfortable loafers. I wear size 14 normally and DSW does not usually carry size 14 in stores. Tried on some 13s hoping for some luck. these shoes were amazing! the size 13 fit my usual size 14 foot.

Also, on initial glance these looked wider than i normally would wear but they fit beautifully, cushioned and best of all the shoes were super light. The brown ones look modern with jeans, stylish. So I bought a black pair too for work.

Can’t stop getting compliments on the brown and every day at work very pleased the hold up no tired feet.

Over how much my husband should pay for work shoes. He refuses to pay more than 60$(Which is just stupid for things you wear or use EVERY DAY). He can be pretty ridiculous with his expectations on anything that costs more.

So I did some research and landed on these; stylish, nice material and they came in his size! Plus, he likes them too! And I got to throw out his smelly, old work shoes. A month later; he likes the comfort and ease.

But now he needs an upgrade on more work clothes to match his spiffy new shoes. Hopefully I can talk him into more nice things ;).

My son bought these to wear to his cousin’s wedding. He hadn’t worn a pair of dress shoes for a few years and basically only wears sneakers or hiking boots. Comfortable footwear is a high priority for him.

The wedding and reception lasted 7 hours. Lots of dancing. At one point, I assumed his feet must be killing him. I asked if he was in pain. Not at all. He said these are the most comfortable dress shoes he’s ever worn.

Very cute looking shoes! Heel height was perfect for my 5’10” height. The shade of the fabric material was a rich shade of navy. BUT I found the elastic straps a bit tight around my instep. I purchased an 11 wide for my toe box but my heel is narrow and still felt the elastic dig into my instep— wasn’t severe, but not comfortable.

My legs are slim but my ankles swell a little if I’ve been standing too long or in the heat of summer (purchased in March). So I knew once either of those moments took place, they straps would be tighter.

Hated to send these very pretty shoes back!!.

This shoe is so practical, cute, and sexy. Looks equally smart with jeans, dresses, capri’s, etc. Fits comfortably from the beginning. Do remove the paper insert if you hear squeaking while trying them on.

I thought it was the quality of the shoe at first and realized the thin cardboard was the culprit. The navy is a very dark navy. The taupe is a beautiful neutral color. I was able to go down half a size comfortably, especially if you choose a wider width which I don’t normally do but works fine with this shoe.

These are a great color—pink, but still a neutral that goes with lots of colors. Despite the heel, these are comfortable for all-day work wear, unless you spend the whole day on your feet. As a teacher who’s on her feet a lit, I admit that I was getting a little sore by the end of the day, but these would have been fine if I’d spent more time at my desk! Good fit, and the elastic ankle straps are very forgiving—tight enough to keep the shoes on securely, but not so tight as to cut off circulation.

If these came in other colors I needed and could justify, I’d definitely get another pair!.

I’m an airline pilot and these shoes are perfect for the job! They provide a nice comfortable fit for walking long distances across the terminal while also being water resistant and slip resistant so I don’t fall while doing a preflight around the aircraft where the ramp can be covered in oil and water after the rain.

I highly recommend this shoe. Best of all this shoe actually looks professional and not like you are working at a fast food restaurant. The perfect balance between professionalism and practicallity.

I have been using Nunn Bush Baker in specific now for close to a decade for Big box retail whic i walk for approximately 12-hours a day on poloshed granit stone flooring. The non-slip sole works great after a rain fall and stone floors are wet.

The insole is a gel composite that lines the pressure points to my feet. Love this Shoe & the expedient way it was sentvto my residence.

I am over the moon with my shoes. I never thought I could find the perfect/comfortable/beautiful shoes to with my mother of the groom dress. I wear a 10 wide. Well Fazpaz did not let me down. I found a low heel silver colored shoe with jewels on it.

Only downfall is a few of the stones were missing.

My sons a senior in high school and since he would be needing a nice pair of shoes I got these. (Thankfully he’s not picky). He opened the box and really liked them. They did fit a little big so now I have to get him some thick socks but he still loves them.

I loved the low key look of these shoes, black soles and light weight. They are a mix of leather and man made materials (isn’t everything anymore?). The sales clerk assured me I needed these in wide although I always wear medium or narrow.

She wasn’t accurate in that statement and I was a fool to follow her guidance, and wore them to work 1 day which makes them un returnable. My wife believes I should give them a chance to “break in”, so I’m hopeful but skeptical.

This is a good looking, comfortable, and affordable casual shoe. I’ve purchased this shoe before many times. I have diabetes nerve issues in my feet, and this shoe is a good solution for me. The upper part of the shoe lasts a long time with minimal periodic polish and care.

However, the bottom part of the shoe will eventually wear out after a year or so of nearly everyday use. Nothing lasts forever I guess. It is a good value so I keep repurchasing it.

When I began looking for a pair of shoes, I discovered that the regular store selections did not fit anymore. I needed something wider! I looked online at DSW and finally found what I needed. This shoe is the widest that I could find and now I have a pair of comfortable, dress/causal shoes.

Nice fit and easy on troubled feet. I especially like the padded heel. This design gives you a better fit around the ankle so your heel doesn’t slip.

Bought this shoe for my teenage son who wears size 12 extra extra wide and he is happy with the comfort, style, and fit.

These are beautiful shoes. Every time I wear them, someone compliments me on them. The color is deep and true. They look like a million dollars on your feet. They are made well, fit well, and are incredibly comfortable.

I found them a little pricey for this venue until I got them and wore them. Well worth the price. These shoes are a great addition to anyone’s shoe wardrobe.

In the catalog, this shoe looked like the perfect match for my maroon dress. I needed them for a wedding. When the shoes arrived, the color was not MAROON but PURPLE! It clashed with my dress. I had to send them back for a refund.

The shoe was very flattering to my foot. I know I eould have loved them! I may order in another color.

This is such a pretty pump. The size is good, however if you have long toes and/or bunions, you may want to consider carefully. The edge of the upper stops just short of the knuckles of my big and little toes.

A bit unsightly, but you can probably wear them without discomfort and wouldn’t be too noticeable with black hose on.

Ordered these bad boys online, after seeing so many positive reviews. A little cautious about buying footwear without trying it on. Sure enough! Trying these on at home, and they are seriously uncomfortable.

The toe box is quite narrow; my feet aren’t super wide, but felt very constricted around the ball of foot. These boots DO look pretty dapper, I’ll admit that. Despite wanting them to work, there’s just no way to make these comfy enough to keep.

I am also a 13 in casual footwear, opting for a 12 in leather boots (for stretching). I disagree with the reviews saying these are a bit large; these are pretty accurate, or even a tinge smaller. If you wear a 13 in Vans, buy a 13 in Vance.

I’ve had these boots before and just bought another pair. I consistently wear them in both social and casual workplace settings. Very good purchase for the money. The soles do wear out, but that may be due to me wearing them constantly.

These were nice boots – I am a women’s 10 so I got the men’s 8. 5. Unfortunately, they were huge. I had almost 2 inches of room at the toe. They felt really comfortable and like they had good cushion for the brief time I wore them.

These shoes are extremely comfortable, especially for men who must wear suits on the job and are on their feet all day. My son is a sports director for a very large station on the west coast. He covers all of the national teams and goes from one stadium to the next reporting sports news.

These are the only shoes he can wear comfortably without looking casual. They are a life saver. I also bought a pair for my husband as he has issues with past foot surgeries but loves to dress up when we go out.

These shoes work out perfectly for him. I highly recommend these shoes for all men who are required to dress up for their jobs and are on their feet all day. or. if you just want to go out and dance the night away comfortably!.

Have bought many pairs over the years. Model mostly stayed the same with the exception of color choices and insoles-which have changed a bit. Wish they’d still come with removable insoles like previous years-thought they were better quality.

Otherwise a great choice for comfort and style!.

This is my second pair of this pair of shoes. The first pair lasted nearly four years! The only reason I purchased a new pair is because I’be scratched them up beyond what polish can fix. The first pair was the first time I had ever wore Cole Haan shoes.

I would typically walk approximately 20k steps according to my Apple Watch. I was destroying shoes on a monthly basis. Since I started wearing Cole Haan, I haven’t purchased shoes from another brand.

The size is always correct, the comfort level is a ten and as an added bonus, you can buy belts I’m the same color of leather. I realize the price is a bit steep, but the value completely worth the expense.

I work in an office setting working on databases. So, I’m not walking around a lot, but I do end up walking from time to time. I live in AZ so it’s really hot here. These are perfect if you’re mostly sitting down at a desk like me.

They’re not the most breathable shoe, so when I do walk around outside my feet do get sweaty, and it takes a while for them to dry when I get back into my office. I guess that’s just part of it since they’re water proof.

I bought these shoes because they were on sale and I am very happy with my purchase. They look good and are very comfortable. If I need to walk a long distance in them I can do it comfortably. I’ve had them for over a month, so I can’t rate them in regards to their longevity, but I’m hoping I can get a long-life out of them since I’m mostly sitting at a desk.

I only use these for work too. I’m not standing or on my feet all day, so I’m not sure if these would be good for that.

I ordered a 11 wide and they fit perfect. I got numerous pairs of shoes that are 12,s because the company don’t sale shoes with different widths. This is probably my fifth or sixth pair of shoes I have ordered from Massey’s and they haven’t let me down.

I have wide feet so finding a comfortable shoe is tough. These Deer Stags were available in Wide sizes so that was great. I only wish that they were leather but these will do just fine for wearing with my khaki’s and other casual outfits.

I have boney feet but I have to buy wide shoes the accommodate my bunions. I bought black size 9 wide. Shoe looked very flattering on. The embroidered rose adds a pretty touch. The ankle strap fit my skinny ankle perfectly on the last hole.

However, these Pixie Pumps had to be returned because my toes were smashed up against the front of the shoe. I decided not to exchange the shoe for a larger size because the zippers barely budged. I ordered a different style ankle strap low wedge shoe in 9 wide, same brand.

It fit perfectly and the zippers worked properly.

Embroidery is well done. Shoe is a little narrow at the tip of the toes, perhaps should have gone with 1/2 size larger. I wear a WW so that might be the problem. I have stretched the toe box by wearing them while sitting.

They are more comfortable now. They should go quite well with my black dress with roses on the skirt.

In an open toe shoe is usually 8-8. 5, and depending on how the shoe is cut and the length, in most cases Wide Width. This shoe is a true 8. 5W, even the length. I first ordered the 8W according to reviews that said shoe runs large and go down a 1/2 size.

I have a high instep and broke the bone in my left foot twice, so I need the width to be wider for that foot. If you have a bunion, hammer toes or just a wider foot, get a wide width, you will not regret it.

If you have a slender or average feet with no issues, then average width will work. Hope this helps.

I wanted to love these shoes, they are so cute, but I had to return them. I bought in my usual size and they fit, however they still hurt a LOT! The edge/corner where the toe cap joins to the side of the shoe was digging into the side of my foot.

Not because my feet were wide (mine are narrow/regular), but because there is zero give to the shoe, so as soon as I was standing, the weight of my body was pushing my foot into the edge and felt like it was about to be cut.

For that reason alone I new I had to return them. On top of it, the quality is very cheaply made, the outer decorative coating wasn’t applied very well, so upon closer inspection, you could see where next to the sole, the coating was too high/low in places.

I returned in store and the cashier said this is the number one brand she sees getting returned, primarily because of how uncomfortable they are.

I was so excited to order these shoes. I love a t-strap heel, which is not something easy to come by in wide width. Finally they arrive and they are as adorable as anticipated! I tried them on and they fit great too.

Only problem is that I can’t wear them because they absolutely reek of cigarette smoke smell. It’s been a week of them being outside on the porch and I still can’t get the smell to go away. I am hopeful that someday I’ll actually get to wear them out of the house.

Beware if you have a sensitivity to smoke.

These patent tuxedo shoes are affordable! They are dressy enough for black tie affairs and weddings and work with a suit also. They are all black, including the heel which is challenging to find. They are simple in design if you don’t like wing tip or toe cap styles.

They are easy to clean, true to size, and comfortable. These are a great option for big boys who might only wear a few times, well worth it.

They’re not so easy to put on. They’re also a challenge to remove. So once you squeeze your feet into these things, be prepared to spend some time in them. Luckily, they look kinda alright. But comfort is not what they are designed for.

It’s mostly similar to a woman’s shoe = looks sexy, but causes permanent damage to the physical structure of the foot.

I bought these online as a birthday gift to myself. I needed some new dress shoes and these were a style that fit what I was looking for. DSW always has great selection and these did not disappoint. Very clean.

I was looking for red, flat shoes for Christmas and found these. I wear 6. 5 wide. They are nice shoes. The only problem is that they are a little tight across the toe area, despite being wide. I almost wonder if my pair has been imperfectly sewn in that area.

Otherwise, it’s a nice shoe. I only wear them for a short time, so it is not a problem.

At first, I ordered the basic white & red. After that, I went ahead & ordered the remaining colors. They could be worn everyday as well as dressy occasions. If more colors become available ( pink, mint green, aqua etc.

I had read that the shoes were made of a soft material. I found the material very hard and they were very tight at the toe and too big in the back. Very uncomfortable. I will keep the shoes to expensive to send back when I had already paid over 7 dollars in postage to have them send.

I have rarely been so pleased with a shoe as with the SAS Ambassador line. Frankly, I find most SAS men’s to be rather un-stylish – the Ambassador being a welcome exception. My wife, with her unfailing good taste, approves.

But, more important: quality and fit are excellent; and really appreciate being able to purchase a fine American-made product. I now own the Coffee Bean, Oily Black, and Black models – wearing the first two as casual or dressy walking shoes; and the Black for dress purposes.

SAS, please offer more stylish shoes, both casual and dressy, in your lineup. You’ll have more customers that way!.

I purchased a pair almost six years ago. I still wear daily basis without any problem. It still looks decent after shining and polishing. But, there are noticeable wears on the heel. I will definitely buy again.

Beautiful pair of shoe. Very sleek design. However I must say must break into it before you wear it for an event. Wore it for my wedding reception and have history of plantar fasciitis. Paid the price for the next four days.

Otherwise we’ll made. Detailed stitching. Very heavy sole. I’m a fan. The lace can be a bit short at times and requires extra attention when trying to tie.

The shoes are perfect. Great quality. Great color. The only problem is that the size I received was wrong and they didn’t have my size anymore. I ended up having to buy them directly from Salvatore Ferragamo.

I was so happy to buy these as a gift, however, when they were delivered, instead of a size 10 they sent a 10. 5 EE and the box says size 10. Now the shoes are all sold out. Do better Bloomies check your merch before sending it out!.

I have the floral pump, and it fits great. They are the prettiest shoes I have had in a long time. I have received a really nice compliment already. I thought I also ordered the pink ones, but they didn’t come.

The only brand of shoe in my closet is SAS. I have dress, casual, and athletic shoes–all SAS. Proud that they are made in the USA and they are well-made and very comfortable. I enjoy the good fit and light weight.

I did visit the factory in San Antonio a number of years ago and experienced great customer service. I have also had several pairs of dress shoes made custom–which I still have. THANK YOU SAS!.

I don’t have a local seller of these shoes, and even if there was, they would not likely have my width (3E-4E) in stock. I’m mostly been wearing 13’s of various types of shoes — running shoes, trail shoes, casual shoes — but when I ordered 13 of this shoe, it was absurdly big, and when I put the soles of these up against my other shoes, these were at least an inch longer.

The width, however (XXW), was perfect. So i sent them back and ordered a 12-1/2. Still too big and again, longer than any of my 13’s. Again, sent them back, and now have the 12’s, wearing them in the house, wondering if I’m missing something — I haven’t worn a 12 in anything since my teen years! Still, I love the fit and style of these shoes, and will probably keep them.

These are the first SAS shoes I’ve ever purchased. They look great and were over $250 with sales tax. They felt good on my feet at the store but after wearing them for 2 weeks at work my legs started to hurt from the knees to the ankles.

My work consists of 50% walking on concrete and 50% sitting at a desk. I switched to other shoes and the hurting stopped. I wore them again for 1 day and the pain came back. I bought a new pair of the same red wings I’ve worn for 10 years and have felt no pain at all.

And since I wore these, I can’t take them back so there’s $250 wasted. Proceed with caution as there is something in these shoes that definitely did not agree with my legs and ankles.
