20 Best Wide Football Cleats (2022 Updated)

Great quality. Really robust. Ankle support really helps. The insoles leave something to be wanted compared to the great quality Of the rest of the shoes, but those are replaceable.

Finding a football cleat for my son was a struggle until we found these. He wears a 15E and these are a great fit and he says they are comfortable.

I dont know why these cleats run so small. I am a 11-11.5 and ordered these size 12, but they fit like a 10-10.5

This is my first purchase from Dicks Sporting Goods,I must say it was an enjoyable experience. The products were visible and organized. The store was clean and tidy. When I checked out the cashier asked if I wanted to sign up for the rewards program,which I didn’t know you had.

Great value. We have a first time football player so didn’t want to get too pricey not knowing if our son would stay interested. Very well made and sharp shoes. He likes them so far and says they are comfortable.

The feel sturdy and solid.

I do not know why they changed the original MC Highlight to these! These have NO ankle support! It’s basically like a stretchy sock fabric that is hard to get on! Also the heel has extra room even though the toe fit fine & does not sit on the foot like it should.

Very uncomfortable and offer no support. Please go back to the originals.

My family visited our local Academy in Round Rock, TX in search of football cleats for our two sons. We were able to find one pair of green Under Armour cleats for our youngest son but our oldest son couldn’t find the color he wanted.

The sales associate was very helpful and had our son try on the shoe he wanted just to make sure we ordered the correct size online. He went above and beyond by searching all the shelves just to find the correct size of Under Armour™ Boys’ Highlight RM Junior Football Cleats.

After we confirmed the size he needed, we went online and ordered the exact color our son wanted. We placed the order on a Thursday morning and the shoes were sitting on our front porch by the next morning! For the money paid, definitely expected these cleats to last longer than 1 month. My son is an O lineman and wore these cleats for practice only a few days out the week. These cleats busted in less than a month.

What a waste of money!.

Bought these for my son who is an interior lineman. He originally tried the vapor 360 as they were a bit lighter. He hated them. They were very stiff, narrow, and uncomfortable. Hard to and hard to run in.

I bought these for him on the recommendation of some college lineman. He has absolutely loved them. Far more flexible and comfortable, and as a result, he’s quicker even with them being a heavier mid-top.

Also easier to put on and remove. Bonus points for being available in WIDE. As others have said, the laces are too short the way they are routed. These were 54″ or so. You have to reroute them or buy others.

Bought some 63″ from Amazon (Dicks did not have) and couldn’t be happier. Great opportunity to change the lace color as well.

Their great Football cleats for a Offensive/Defensive Lineman. I play Offensive Tackle and they are light so I can move fast and give high ankle support which is comfortable and helps with any ankle problems or injuries.

The traction on grass is EXTREMELY GOOD. When I chop my feet or even walk my feet will sometimes bite so hard into the grass that it surprises me a little but it isn’t bad. I also have a wide foot and these fit me perfectly.

They also have a good amount of breathability so my feet don’t get too hot. The cushioning is also pretty good, it keeps my feet from hurting and since it is a leather cleat it helps just a little when others step on my foot.

The only complaints I have which are extremely small is that the laces I feel should be just a little longer and that the leather in the toe area was softer so when I’m playing Defensive Tackle/End I could flex my toes to the ground just a little more.

Other than that these cleats are great and amazing for the price.

These are my son’s FAVORITE cleats and the only pair I could find in a mens size 13 WIDE. He is a D lineman and has a hard time finding cleats and shoes to fit his wide feet. Perfect width and perfect height for perfect ankle support.

I have searched the internet for months to find these cleats. Hoping to find these in a size 14 wide for next year. I purchased these online from a store in Oklahoma and I am in New Mexico. Shipping didnt take long at all.

Do not buy these cleats. For starters, the way the lacing setup is attached to the ankle area of the shoe make the top most eyelets dig into the ankle so much that after the first wear I had 4 scabs below the balls of my ankles the next day.

It can be adjusted but pretty much the only way you can prevent this is just to wear the shoe lose. he new out sole personally felt a little slower than the old adizero out sole. the traction is pretty good overall, an probably the best part about this cleat, but I found the bite wasn’t as good as the old out sole.

Not as many studs around the forefoot didn’t make lateral cuts necessarily hard but they weren’t as easy, sharp, and multidirectional as previous models. The first time I wore one of the older adizero models (I think it was the 7 or 8) my foot stopped so hard the first cut I made I nearly fell over and I didn’t get that unfortunately out of the 11.

Now the biggest problem; I have played in these cleats a whole 15 times and just today after a pick up game with friends I noticed that the outsole was cracked and upon further inspection found that it had completely cracked through all the way to the boot of the shoe.

For 120 dollars I got less than 15 wears before all the engineering that went into making this cleat a WR/speed cleat went completely out the window. Very disappointing, will be asking for a refund.

Wanted to try something different since the Nike’s had some iffy reviews. My son likes the feel of these BUT after just 1 workout (first time using) the bottom plate is starting to separate from the upper.

This was not a full-blown practice or game, so no contact- just running routes for around 30 minutes. This in no way should be happening. My son does not have wide feet, so it’s not like the shoe was tight or anything.

He said, “this is why I always get Nike. ”.

Bought these cleats for my middle school son. We have had them for less than a month. He has been to about a dozen practices and one scrimmage and the cleats are already falling apart. Very disappointing.

I expected better quality construction from Adidas, especially for the price.

These are some nice comfortable cleats that my son really likes, and they are light weight with great traction.

Trying to find a pair of cleats for youth football is almost impossible in the Spring. Thankfully I was guided to your website and found what I needed. I was able to purchase the next size up from what I needed so that they could be used for Fall as well.

WOW! Besides being a good brand my son is very comfortable with them, he said they’re very light weight to run in. Several if his friends also bought themselves the same cleats and absolutely love them.

Arrived on time. Runs a bit large. Bought for grandson. So will hold back until his foot grows a little more. In the meantime bought another pair locally for the time being. I would suggest buyers order 1/2 to one size down.

I bought my son a 9. 5 mens, which is his normal size, it was the only pair we found in his size. The first time wearing them at practice he got huge blisters on both heals. Day two, he wore bandaids in both heals and 3 socks, and bled through all 3 pair.

Day 3 we had to get cushion inserts for the heals and patch him up with gauze to keep from getting even worse. I know this is possibility with new shoes but with the price, I expected them to be perfect for middle school football.

I hope they get better as they wear in because I can’t at to just buy something else.

Bought these for my son that is playing varsity football as a RB. These cleats have a great cleat plate and the fit is wider than most which fits his foot really well. We tried the Vapor Edge Pro 360 which is lighter but too narrow for his foot.

The cleat appears to be well made and comfortable so far. We will see how it holds up to the season but first impressions are really good with this shoe.

Bought for my 12 year old. Immediate bloody heel blisters, fixed with longer socks with extra ankle cushioning. There is no where for the foot to breath, so feet were on fire each game. Fit was great for a skill player with wide feet.

We bought these shoes last minute about two weeks ago. They are great and Academy offered the best price. Ordered them online and had them by game time. Excellent speedy delivery. Bought the same kind of shoe for both my 8 year old son and husband as they both play on football teams.

I also noticed several of the guys on my husband’s team own them as well. Great buy!.

I bought this pair of cleats for my son for 7th grade football. So far he likes them very much. Saying they havent hurt his feet as much as previous pairs of previous years. Also they’re alot less stiff and alot more flexible than while breaking them in.

I bought the orange color and they look great! Definitely stand out lol. Fit great and didnt need to break them in to much before my first game. Expect to stand out with the brightness of these shoes, but id still recommend them!.

DURABILITY As an ultimate frisbee player, I have always had difficulty finding a durable cleat that would last me longer than a year. That finally changed when I decided to buy the Vapor Untouchables two years ago.

I have been playing in them regularly ever since and they have held up exceptionally well. COMFORT When it comes to comfort, the untouchables also exceed expectations. The untouchables feel like they become a part of your foot once you slide them on.

They stay right where they are supposed to even through all the erratic movements of competitive sports. Because of this, you could have some difficulty getting a properly sized shoe onto your foot when you first start using the untouchables.

Not to worry though, getting the shoe on gets much easier with time but the comfort stays. I would recommend this cleat to any player of any competitive sport. The price you paid will without a doubt be paid back to you throughout their lifetime.

My son is 13 and plays lacrosse. He loves the fit of these shoes and takes great care of them. Got them for Christmas and began really wearing them in March. He alternates wearing with another pair so they have a chance to air out between wearings — in other words, they don’t get daily wear — more like 3x per week.

After 3 months they still look great but yesterday in practice a kid stepped on the lace and completely tore out ALL of the string eyelets. Evidently the 2 pieces of string used for eyelets is not very strong.

These shoes are made to be worn by huge, adult pro football players and my 13 year-old lax player can’t make it through 3 months? I saw another review where the exact same thing happened to another high-school lax player.

If you get these shoes, be sure to secure the laces so they don’t hang at all — not sure how you would do that though. My son is really disappointed; he loves these shoes. All of his other Nike cleats have lasted an entire year of lax and football.

Again, love the fit, not the durability :-(.

I actually play competitive ultimate frisbee, not football. But it’s most similar to WR. This was the most comfortable and best cleat I had ever worn. Incredible grip on cuts and my foot did not move around within the cleat.

I have somewhat narrow feet and the fit was perfect. Uncomfortable at first, but after a week or so of breaking in it fit like a glove. However, the flywire threads broke within 2 months of use. I bought two pair of these cleats at the same time, and the threads broke on BOTH of them after wearing maybe 30 times each.

The rest of the shoe is in great shape and could probably last me at least a year, so it’s really disappointing that this one flaw ruined an otherwise fantastic shoe.

Sons a D1 hopeful and has noticed these cleats seem to be the most common choice at his recruiting visits. He has worn a similar style but is very fond of these. They are tricky to put on as they are basically a neoprene sock, almost like a scuba boogie.

We grabbed two shoehorns and they went on easily. He says you could probably wear them without laces. He finds the cleat pattern to be the best he’s tried, and we’ve tried several. I bought two pair and am suggesting he rotate them and wear older cleats on wet practice days.

Cleat durability has been an issue and unfortunately I doubt these will be significantly different. In their defense when you make shoes this light at customer request then I guess it’s not surprising they can’t take as much wear.

I used these cleats my 8th grade year all the way to my sophomore year. They are the GOAT lineman cleat. O-line to be specific. These have an awesome feel when pass blocking, its like the ground and your feet are one.

I really like these cleats, they are durable, light , protective, and overall great. I would recommend these to all lineman who really like the sport and feel spending a lot of money on these cleats is a good investment.

The only con about these cleats is that they are hard to put on. So never be late to practice, or youll be the last one putting your cleats on.

I personally like the design of the lunarbeast, and the technology in the shoe, but found it hard to try on because I COULDNT GET MY FOOT INTO IT!!! I tried at the store, me and my dad both tugged and pulled and unlaced the shoe completely, and I still couldn’t get this shoe on my foot because of the collar.

So I had to settle with the step down model, the lunar beast shark, which is easy to get on because it has a tounge on it, unlike the lunarbeast TD. don’t get me wrong the shark version is great, but doesn’t offer the same technology as the TD model.

So if Nike could address this problem, it would be fantastic, but until then, I will never be able to wear this shoe.

On the fourth day of practice, the first day with pads, he was stepped on and two of the eyelets broke. Spoke with BSN Team Sports and they said since they had been worn there is nothing they can do about it.

Though this cleat looks good for how inexpensive it is, it runs at least an entire size too small. My son has just outgrown his size 6. 5 street shoes, so I ordered a 7 and a 7. 5. At 7. 5, they were still too small.

I wear a size 6. 5, and the 7. 5 was tight with a very thin sock. Now I feel like I have to order two more pairs :/.

When I bought this shoes for football i was happy in till i tried them on i have wide feet and if you wide would not try to get them th they are super narrow and tight as much but it is comfortable and good i would recommend this for not wide feet people and if you do if your a 9.
