12 Best Wifi Led Controller (2022 Updated)

Fibaro Modules are always good, I use all mine (10+) through Smart Things that used to work really well, the new version not so good. looking to migrate it over to Apple Home or Fibaro Hub. I have used most versions of Fibaro modules including Ver1 & 2 of these RGBW controllers, on my LED lighting all over.

Great units.

Running RGBW IP65 LED strips. So far, they are working great. I have a small issue working out how to associate the two that I have but other than that they are providing a stable Z-Wave connection and have a large list of configurable.

Works fine on openhab although took me a sec about what channel to play with and how to set the options I wanted.

Buggy. works ok but controller within Tablet app is very buggy, even on Phone app. can control it fine from HC2 interface just fine. don’t know if this is the app’s fault or the device its self. have read on the fibaro forums people having issues with this new module.

I like SwitchBot products! I bought many different lines from them and all are very easy to install and use, very convenient to make you place to smart home! I bought this smart LED Strip lights and placed it under my kitchen island, also compatible with their motion sensor, the results come out perfect! I don’t have to turn it on or off everytime as all is automatic when I walk closed by or leave the area.

It also can be scheduled for anytime you want. There are also many colors for you to choose on the LED strip lights, very beautiful and make your home looks high end in a minute! Also! their customer service is very nice and professional! highly recommended!.

I love everything switchbot. I have their curtains, hubs (which control everything that has an infrared controller like my fans and heaters), their buttons (coffee and laundry machine), their motion sensor, their lights, and now these strip lights.

I havent gotten to put them up yet but they are just beautiful. They are super long so you wish you could use it all but you can cut them. I havent put them up cause I cant decide if I want them as mood lighting in my bedroom, living room, or kitchen! I bought two but I might need to buy more to fix this dilemma.

They have a nice switch which lets you pick colors as well as huh integration. Cant wait to see what switchbot does next!.

Bought these for my girls’ room to use as a decoration for my 9yr old & a nightlight for my newborn. The strip was easy to apply, stuck perfectly, and fit exactly where I wanted it. The app is fun and super easy to use.

I was able to set it up so I can turn the lights on a very low, dark purple for nightime feedings, or blink orange/green to signal my older daughter to come out of her room for dinner or whatever instead of yelling for her.

Since the app can be used from anywhere I also get to troll my kid by making the lights suddenly start blinking bright random colors when I’m not even home. I’m ordering more for my son’s room and my own bedroom.

Money well spent!.

If you want to have 1 hub that can control both your RGB and control your fans via PWM this is the product. (Note: the commander core XT cannot change speeds of 3 pin DC fans, it can only run them at max speed.

) You can connect 6 fans plus their RGB (corsair RGB only, but adapters do exist to convert standard 3 pin 5v to corsair connector) into just one device. No more having to run half the cables to the RGB hub, and the other one to your fan hub or motherboard.

It also has a usb pass through on the USB 2. 0 internal connector port there is another connector along the cord so you can plug in another controller and just use 1 USB port. It can also do the function of a lightning node pro via the rgb expansion port on the side.

They even give you two temperature probes you can use to play around with monitoring your temperatures. (Can monitor case ambient temperature, or monitor vrm temperatures for example. ) ITS ALSO MAGNETIC so you don’t need to use 3m adhesive, but they do include 3m so if you prefer to mount it that way you can.

This product is great. I already have the elite capellix 150i all in one cooler that came with essentially this product but modified to connect to the pump, and missing the temp sensor ports, and the extra rgb expansion port.

Corsair themselves said they actually took the exact controller that comes with the all in one water cooler, removed the COM port for the pump, and add those extra ports. The last port on this device is labeled ID and corsair has said they reserved this port for future expansion.

I’m not exactly sure what they have in mind, but its nice to know that they have the ability to release an update and give the commander core XT even more functionality. This makes more sense than even the commander pro if you just want to connect up to 6 fans and their RGB and be able to control them all from 1 hub.

Commander pro is designed more for connecting other existing corsair controllers to it, while this is designed to be the one stop shop solution for all your fan needs. Glad this came out just a few weeks ago when as that was when I was looking for something exactly like this.

I bought this after buying a set of be quiet argb lightwings fans that came with an RGB hub, but no pwm hub. That’s fine I thought we’ll just buy a good fan controller. I bought this one thinking that it would be pretty universal, boy was I wrong.

My first observation in trying to install it is that it didn’t have a way to connect to the pwm header on the motherboard. Nor a way to connect to the argb header on the motherboard. So I’m like, I guess I don’t control this without ICue.

Okay, sure, whatever. Proceeded to maintenance route my cables all that good stuff. Then when I went to plug in my standard argb headers, that’s when I noticed is controller also has proprietary argb connectors.

Oh so I can’t motherboard control my fan speeds or use other fans? Back in the box it went. I am returning this. If Corsair would have included some adapters for standard argb connectors, it might have survived.

I’m not entirely comfortable with having this thing only work with some proprietary software they might seize working one day or become no longer available, get broken by an update, who knows? for the lighting it’s fine, but I would have preferred this thing to have a pwm cable for the motherboard.

The Commander Core XT made my RGB installation a breeze. Of course, it’s made for Corsair RGB fans. One side is for power and the other for RGB and it’s all clearly labeled. Be aware that Corsair uses a proprietary connector.

The controller handles six fans. With an adapter cable from Amazon I was able to connect my Lian Li Strimer cables which use a non-Corsair connector. The device uses Corsair’s iCUE software to handle RGB modes and fan speed controls.

Finally, the CCXT comes with two thermal sensors to monitor internal computer temps. The device can attach magnetically to the case.

Bought to integrate analog sensors into my network. Works by changing one parameter. Couldn’t get it to update the value in a timely manner without sending a poll command (and no help on the fibaro forums) so I just hourly poll.

Bought two of these and very happy.

I like being able to use voice control to operate the devices via Google Home. The set up was a little involved but once that was done I was able to create a wonderful atmosphere in my bedroom. I love how bright these lights are and that they do just what I wanted them to do.

So far, they’ve worked well, and the adhesive has held up well, except for the hard end bits, which make the whole strip to sag at the ends. Overall, I am very pleased with the product.

These light strips are fantastic! I like how the overall length is divided in half by two light strips. You can pair them or use them separately as long as they’re wired to the same power source. They are easy to install.

I’m very happy with it and would recommend it!.

I have to admit that this is an outstanding quality! I enjoy hosting, and the simplicity at which these could be set up and hidden was fantastic. I would highly recommend this for use as a light source on stairs, under railings, across a deck, or behind a television in every house.

After installing this Brilliant control panel (it took about 15 minutes to change out my standard light switch panel with the Brilliant interface), I switched it on and went through the tutorial – super cool and fun to use.

I have my Spotify music and Sonos system connected to it now and it controls multiple lights. I am planning to connect my Ring doorbell and Nest thermostat to it too. There are tons more uses and ways to connect this panel with smart home products.

We installed it in the kitchen where everyone can access it; the kids like it most and it looks really nice on the wall.

I’m a huge fan of Brilliant devices. They have brought my smart home devices together and simplify the various smart home apps. You need to raise the light switches so the screen is eye level, and you’re good to go.

These are a little pricy, but nice smart home addition. They work better than expected, just wish they offered a fan control as well.

When it’s working it works reasonably well. Slightly slow to respond and adjust, otherwise fine. The low rating is because it’s mostly offline, which makes this a relatively useless product. I created a separate 2.

4 WiFi just for IoT devices and the signal is pretty good quality where this device is located, but most of the time the device is offline. I wouldn’t recommend it for that reason. When it’s connected though, it integrates well with Google Assistant and is easy to use via vocal command as well.

As a WiFi controller it offer a number of options for color control, scheduling and scenes. Because it is IFTTT rated, it is compatible with the Lutron Caseta wireless system I will be installing, providing one app to control all lighting.

I took off one star because it runs on only 2. 4 G wifi and your phone must be connected on 2. 4g when setting up the controller. My Samsung S8 auto connects to wifi and chooses the best connection between 2.

4 and 5 g; usually 5 g. So I had to turn off 5 g to complete the install as the phone does not provide a manual override to wifi connection: irritating.

After setting up the rest of the house for wifi light control we realized we wanted to have bookshelf lighting. Some of the solutions out there were much more expensive. This one works with the SmartLife app and with Google Home and Alexa as I understand it.

I only use the SmartLife app. Connected easily, set up was a breeze, dims nicely. No complaints.

the hardware is fine. The software app on the phone is pathetic. Had to return and find better application for mixing colors, on/off timer, custom zones, etc.

After looking for a DMX solution I decided to get MYDMXGo. Rang djkit to check stock and drove to Newbury from Yeovil. The chap who served me was polite and gave me some discount on the extra DMX cables I bought as well.

The little app is well worth its money, and does a great job at producing quite a decent light show. I watched a short 20 mins video on YouTube as I could t quite figure the app out as it was the first time I had dived down the dmx route.

Although you have automatic control on the app, you still have access to the digital channel faders to control your lights manually then save them to the empty presets at the bottom. Highly recommend this product.

If I could give it NO STARS I would. It continually drops the signal or stops working altogether when programming it. I have watched numerous videos and sought advice on forums and nothing works to solve the problems.

I have an Android Tablet which you are supposed to be able to hardwire (Defeating the wireless concept) and have purchased both an router and OTG cable to improve connectivity. You have to continuously update the firmware and on top of all that it the automatic functions only work with Par Type Lighting or Moving Heads, so Effect Lighting is a cumbersome manual operation.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE. $250 plus wasted.

Installed this product to replace a current light switch. So for those who aren’t to familiar with replacing light switches this unit was simple as long as you read the instructions. On the back of the unit there are 4 wires and labeled line and load and ground of course as well as neutral.

So reading and looking at the instructions you will be able to determine which wire for the controller needs to connect to your existing wires once it was connected the unit works awesome. The smart app allows you to control all the features while at home or away.

So the one thing is most people have replaced their light bulbs with led and this until is designed for those lights if you want to have all the features. For those who still have regular light bulbs the color temp feature will not work but I assume the dimming will.

Now I didn’t check this out as all my lights are led but it made sense to me that a regular light bulb would not be able to change color like the led so just an observation to think about. Again the wiz app on my android phone worked without issues not sure about the iPhone app but I would assume it would also work.

I didn’t have any connectivity issues but it was my daughter who did the setup as she wants to be able to dim the lights outside when her friends are over and change the color. Great product that can be used on either Bluetooth when your at home or wifi when your away or at home.

Still need to go away to test it over a greater distance.

I purchased this room controller + a Spex light to test for a specific use case. The result: I’m keeping it and buying more lights. Despite how Spex positions this controller/switch, you actually don’t need it.

You can keep your existing mechanical switch in place and simply never flip it to off. You then control the lights via the app / your voice only. Flipping that switch to off will disconnect the lights from the internet.

This switch would almost need a sticker that says “do not touch”. But I actually want a physical wall switch that functions! But in my particular use case (adding lights to a dropped ceiling in a condo) I don’t want to run wiring down a wall and add a box.

But I can run power to the ceiling with little effort. The beauty of this switch is: you do not need to wire it to the Spex light(s). You can install it in any existing box and simply give it power (but no load).

You then configure the room controller in the app and it will start controlling the lights as expected. I also tested how this configuration would work when the internet goes down. The result: the controller continued to operate the lights seamlessly.

I believe it was using Bluetooth to do so. But you do not need to worry about configuring/managing this behaviour. It’s all happening automatically in the background. I am essentially using this controller like a Lutron pico remote.

Of course it’s not as convenient as the battery powered pico but it’s close in my case. You just need to power the controller.
