20 Best Wifi Water Timer (2022 Updated)

I had a 20 year old mechanical rainbird controller. Worked fine but with 3 residences I could only guess on the forecast and when I would leave this one. Either would set to much and water bill would be out the roof or to little and yard would look terrible.

I have 10 zones and it runs 3 hours at this house. It was easy to install and setup. Cut water bill in half and the yard looks great because I can adjust the costume water schedule from any where based on the 3 day forecast.

Sprinkler Warehouse was amazing as the product cost was almost half of everyone else, it shipped hours from when I placed the order and showed up a few days later. I thought I might get a repla-bird but it was the the real thing with the link.

While our last Rain Bird controller was a little easier to program, these units are very well made and headache free. The instruction pamphlet was easy to follow. Our last unit was here when moved in 22 years ago, and was most likely here many years before that.

We never had a problem with it until it decided to “retire. ” I didn’t purchase the Wi-Fi module yet for the new unit, but probably will do so.

This thing is an absolute piece of garbage. Save your money. It lasted all of 1 month. Quit working, so I changed the batteries. Nope. Didn’t work. So we took it apart. The wires that should have been soldered were loose.

There was water inside. Now, don’t you think something like this should be water-tight inside? Spend a bit more and buy something from RainBird.

I’m not a professional in installing sprinkler systems. Building my first system last year I was scared by the cost of Orbit Blu-lock fittings and went the old fashioned way (using clamps, etc. ). I’m not going to tell the whole story of disappointment spending a few days, ending up with paying more and watching the system fail shortly after installation.

This year I’ve completely reinstalled the entire system with Blu-lock withing a few hours and much less fittings that I expected to use. The Wi-Fi programmable controller is a very cool thing to have to!.

Overall very happy with the product after 3 months. The b-hive valve and app (we use it on iPhone) works well and was easy to set up. The sprinkler heads shoot about 12 feet and agreed with what the manual predicted for my water pressure.

They were also easy to adjust. I have not had a winter yet but I do not expect any problems.

This controller was very easy to install. I replaced my existing controller with it in about 1 hour. I had just added several new zones to my system and decided to upgrade to the smart controller. It was easy to set up with my phone and has worked very well, always connecting to wifi without fail.

The b-hyve pro app that you will need to install is great and programs are easy to set up and edit. It will monitor the weather in your area and create rain delays if rain is likely. Also, you can enter information about your zones like soil type, sprinkler type, and plant types and it will water completely automatically if you like.

This is absolutely infuriating to have to deal with such an awful product I charge a lot of money to install for these clients and I have connectivity issues constantly. I literally have to install the orbit beehive ones because they work instead of putting in the commercial hydro rain HRC 400.

These things are absolute garbage and I highly recommend avoiding them at all cost. I’m disgusted with this company.

I’ve had old timers for 33 years, 12 station. Just recently upgraded entire front yard, now need 14 station. Got B-Hyve 16 and Wi-Fi capable is excellent. I have large half acre yard, so walking back and forth to timer was a pain.

Now can do on my phone, so cool. Realized it’s important to at lease put in your zip code so system can monitor weather in your area, also necessary to keep time accurate in case of power outage.

I upgraded from an older Rainbird ESP6 Controller (with WR-2 Rain Sensor) to the Rain Bird ESP-TM2-6 Controller with the Link2 Wi-Fi Module. It was very easy to install. Th entire irrigation system works great.

Very well integrated together with the WR-2 Rain Sensor. I especially like that I can Manually Control each zone from either the Controller or Cell Phone app. This was very useful during Spring start-up of my Irrigation System.

In addition, I can see that the Daily Seasonal Adjust of the watering time based on the local weather forecast and soil type will save on water usage.

So far so good, does what I was needing. Live out of state for part of the year and wanted to control watering remotely. Thought I could turn the controller on and off, but apparently not possible with Wi-Fi so the way to do this is with the ?rain delay?.

I guess this is better as you could forget to turn the system back on. With the delay, it will go back on after the the delay period is up. Other than that was easy to set up and works as intended. Would have given 5 stars, I have only been able to use the app/controller on one device at a time.

Loaded the app on my iPad and thought I could use iPhone as well, not so. Need to contact Rainbird to see if it is possible.

I purchased this unit to replace an older (still working at 20+ years) Rainbird controller, as I wanted the flexibility of a Wifi enabled unit. I live in SW Florida; during summer we get localized brief but hard rainfall, so I want to override the rain sensor and stop some events as the watering is not needed.

Or test zones on the system. This unit works very well and the Android app is fine. I have used the app on my phone via my Wifi and cell data, works fine. Folks that have issues most likely have poor reception issues.

Easy to install and setup; be advised, I am not an irrigation specialist, but I am technical by nature and vocation.

After 2 previous ‘green’ versions of the orbit 6 station timer (the 1st unit lasting 20+years, the 2nd 5years) a quick look around the internet had me looking at the Orbit 6-station B-Hyve smart wifi timer.

Reviews were mixed which was cause for concern, however it was in-stock and with the setup similar to that of the older version (thank you youtube), I made the plunge. Out of the box the unit connected to the home wireless, updated itself including the firmware and local time all without issue.

Connecting the wires to the unit is easy and only takes a few minutes. The wireless capability is a big improvement, i can sit in my lounge and operate the unit via my a smart phone app as opposed to walking to the unit – lazy i know.

I did consider disabling all of the wireless functionality as you dont really need however the remote management and monitoring is very cool. Since the app and the timer unit both talk to each other i found it much easier to program the unit itself with zones, times, programs etc then let the unit update the app; which it did perfectly.

I agree with other comments that the app to me felt a little ‘clunky’, i did try to program the app first but gave it away, upon reflection this was more to do with me than the app but i found the config around the program slots frustrating.

Otherwise the app is very comprehensive and can be setup for smart watering and will even download weather updates to adjust watering as required. I only use the basics of the timer, daily watering days/times, 6 zones, 5minutes each zone and some of the remote features such as skip a zone, or manual start/stop watering as required etc.

When the program starts/finishes you can receive a notice on your phone and additionally during operating the app displays which zone is currently operating and runtime remaining – very nice. All in all, its only been a few days of operation so far, but am very happy with the unit.

Comes in either a 6 or a 12 zone configuration [will handle all but the largest residential jobs]. Works indoor or out door. Works as either a standard clock timer or it shines as a wifi enabled smart controller.

If you take the time to set up your zones with “smart watering details” and answer about 10 questions per zone [one time] you can turn it over to smart watering and let the app calculate when to water and for how long and it does a great job.

Only one other brand [Rachio] I’m aware of has this feature and it is a game changer. Take the guess work out of irrigation settings. This controller worked great in our recent Texas drought and it also conserves water during wet season as well as any other smart controller I’ve used [Rainbird, Hunter, Toro etc].

The phone app is one of the most intuitive I’ve used in the industry. Only downside is that B-Hyve customer service has been more difficult to reach as they grow. Some thing I hope they address quickly because when you need help they are great, just very difficult to get ahold of at times.

This is my first Rachio product and I purchased on the advise of my next door neighbor and brother whom both own previous versions. I am glad I took their advice as this controller is nothing short of awesome.

It is well constructed, has easy to understand instructions, was very easy to install, and the app for your smart phone is very well designed and thought out. I’ve been using this device for about 8 weeks now and I am very happy with the results.

The device is hyper intelligent and will run as automated or as manual as you prefer. You can run it every day exactly when you want to, or you can set it up to monitor the weather conditions in your area and allow it to determine when and how much to water.

I have a personal weather station on top of my house and I have connected my Rachio to the weather data received by my PWS. Smart watering is based on actual rain fall amounts at my house and not for some remote weather station miles away from me.

It is obvious Rachio has done their homework and have produced a high quality device that works extremely well. The app is equally amazing and you can run everything from the phone app or from the controller itself.

At a glance you can verify if the system is on-line and connected to wi-fi and if it is actively watering a zone. If you have an Amazon Echo you can control everything through that device. I highly recommend this unit.

I am thoroughly impressed and pleased with my purchase.

The manual timer that came with my house was hard to program And I never could get the cycles how I wanted which resulted in underwatering. Then I bought the cheapest competitor to Rachio and it only worked if you turned off smart features, and even then, it was inconsistent to the point I had to wake up to make sure it was watering.

Then I found Rachio and at a great price online! So I got it and after a couple of weeks of changing settings, mostly in the drip, things are going great. The app is easy to use and reliable. The smart settings allow you to set it and forget it, and you can visually see your plants are getting the water they need through their growth and health.

I love how it flows in the garage, it’s the brain watching over our plants. The one complaint is the advanced settings could have more explanation rather than always referring to the community forums.

Just looking for simple answers to questions. But if you look long enough you’ll find what your looking for. Last thing is the schedules can get confused if you have too many of one type. I wish I could just choose the zone and select smart watering and forget it rather than choosing the time of day as well, I’d like it to figure out the ide time and watering frequency for all of my zones once I tell it what plants, shade, sprinklers, ets are present.

I find the support articles to be. lacking. During the few weeks that I have been setting up zones and schedules, it has become apparent that these articles are directed at landscape professionals rather than homeowners.

Learning how the various advanced settings–which clearly are the most critical–impact watering duration and frequency is, at least initially, a hit-or-miss exercise. As I have become familiar with how changes in the advanced setting affect irrigation, one thing is abundantly clear: a soil moisture meter is absolutely necessary.

I had established duration and frequency settings with my previous controllers and thought that that information would translate to the Rachio controllers. Instead, I found that information to be of limited use.

If someone at Rachio would write a comprehensive set-up guide directed at homeowners explaining step-by-step how to configure zone and schedule settings, it would be a huge step. Also, everything is discussed using inches per hour.

It would be far, far easier if gallons per hour were used as a guide. Most homeowners can figure out gallons per hour pretty easily; inches per hour is much more difficult to figure.

Wyze Sprinkler – I’m giving it 4 stars. It does most everything I need, but there’s room for improvement. I’ve always manually run my old controller, and rarely used the schedule function, except when I’m away on vacation, etc.

The Wyze controller allows me to manually water, even when I’m away. The AI features are not something that I will be using – partly because I don’t need them, but mostly because I wouldn’t be able to afford the water bill if I did.

The smart sprinkler would be wonderful if I had my own water reservoir – in other words, it waters about 4 times what I would have. I will not be renewing my free year of ‘sprinkler plus’. Otherwise, the controller was easy to install.

The wire connections seem a little flimsy, I would prefer screw type connections. The controller panel is much smaller than my old controller, which leaves mounting holes exposed on my garage wall. Would be nice to have some back plate or trim to cover those areas.

Scheduling features needs a way to manually run schedules. If you manually water like I do, you need to use ‘quick run’, then add each zone to be watered, then adjust the time for each zone. It would be much simpler if I could just manually run schedule sets.

Overall, I’m happy with the controller.

I purchased this sprinkler controller as a preorder and have now used it for an entire summer. This was my second attempt with a smart controller and it has ultimately replaced a Hunter x core. My prior experience was with a Rachio 3 smart controller and I was never able to get their app and device to work reliably on my network so after more hours of effort than I care to admit I gave up on that smart controller and the x core went back to work.

When Wyze announced they were doing preorders for a smart controller I wasn’t interested. I’d been there and done that with the Rachio wasting a $200 bill plus about 20 hours. Then when I saw the price for the Wyze controller I decided to give it a shot.

I’m incredibly happy I did and couldn’t be happier with the product! I really do think this is one of the best products from Wyze. Yes there is a bit of the UI that I would like to see changes to but nothing that’s a major flaw in my opinion.

Installation is super simple, assuming that’s your kind of thing, better than with some other Wyze products. It takes longer to switch to Geico than it took me in install and connect to the Wyze app and internet.

plus I saved 75% compared to the price of the failed Rachio. Adding zones and schedules is also simple and I haven’t had any trouble adjusting my irrigation schedule from wherever I am in North America.

Mine set to run on specific days of the week and the system has worked without fail continuing to run my sprinklers for a while when my controller was offline and I was out of town (I was out of town for 3 weeks when my router went down during a storm because a GFCI tripped).

Some reviews mention the app is complicated or improperly waters their yard, I imagine those users are all using sprinkler plus, unfortunately I lost my trial coupon and I was already happy with how the controller was working so I have not used that service, I will probably give it a shot next summer.

That said there aren’t many secrets to determining how much water a crop needs but all of these calculations require user inputs, and one bad guess could affect watering calculations by over an 1. 5″ per week (buffalo grass vs bluegrass).

I suspect those unhappy users have not put realistic information, about each of their zones, into the app. Worth noting, if you don’t use sprinkler plus the questions the app asks (after how often and for how long to water) about each zone serve no purpose in how this system works so they could be skipped.

I think to many sprinkler plus sounds like it will be an easy button, and it is just not on day one. You have to do the research for it to work properly. What it is doing is calculateing something is called crop water use or evapotranspiration (Google away for a better understanding).

All of your your inputs make a difference, and inaccurate responses could end up in way over watering or underwatering. If you don’t want to get the info the app needs you will probably be better skipping on sprinkler plus, especially if you already know what works well for your yard.

To be fair I would still like to try sprinkler plus (maybe next year) and if I do hopefully I get back to this review to give my actual opinion on if it works not and how it should work.

I think it has great potential, but not fully there yet. I wanted to use the automatic watering feature, but it seems to either not water enough or has water running down the street. There is no in between and I can carefully gone through all of the settings many times.

I also couldn’t find a way to skip a day on the automatic setting (like when the lawn gets cut). Installation was pretty easy, but many of the wires don’t make contact the first try (and installed 2 controllers and on the second one really made sure the wires were clean, and still had the same issues).

Right now, it seems I am going to have to use the manual mode since the automatic is not very good. On the plus side, the controller is pretty cheap. For my outdoor one, I bought the box. It doesn’t come with a cord or conduit connections for the hole in the bottom of the case.

I would have gladly paid for those missing parts rather than have to go find them. The holes for mounting the box are not brick height (or multiple of that), so I could only use 2 or the 3 holes. In the end, I think most of its problems are with the software/app.

Hopefully that can be fixed in the future. The ultimate test will be how long this unit lasts. My previous controllers from over venders have had extremely short lives.

This is a replacement for an old Rainbird controller I’d installed in 1996, and hooking it up only took a few minutes. The connection to our home’s WiFi was simple, and it works perfectly. I will say that when moving my cell phone out of range from WiFi (like the far corner of our property), it will sometimes display a connection error on the app, but that could be the phone more so than the device.

The app is easy to use, and MUCH easier to create schedules than standing in the garage with a dusty instruction book trying to remember button & dial sequences. There are a couple of things about the app I don’t like- 1.

Manual watering needs an option to run all zones in sequence. 2. There should be a sequential option for start time/running zones in order, instead of setting the start time individually for each zone.

What I do like about the app are the notifications available, and the overall ease of running the system from your pocket. The ability to add pictures of each zone in your yard, is a nice personalization feature, and being able to customize the number of zones on the app, really tailors it to your specific needs.

We also purchased the wireless rain sensor, and that was very easy to install and digitally connect to this controller. As far as wireless home devices go, these two Rainbird devices have been the easiest to connect to each other and our home’s WiFi.

We’re very pleased, and highly recommend them, especially at this price.

What a difference being able to control your irrigation through an app. It was very easy to replace my old controller after it died. Very simple to program. Now I can turn on or shut off my irrigation from anywhere.

Now when I’m doing irrigation repairs, there’s no running back and forth from the controller!.

well made, easy to setup. Many options for watering. Nothing is ever perfect for everyone, but for me this is an excellent solution to my needs (ok, the wifi is more desire than need). I have used the rainbird brand for over 20 years and its an excellent brand in this ever changing world.

I recommend it. I had the old manual timers for 20 years and no problem, but this seems to be staying with the rainbird tradition of quality and ease of use.

Simple to hook up. Love the app. My old Rainbird was located in the corner of my garage and I was always hitting my head on an old bike hanging from the ceiling. After installing the new Rainbird With the wireless adapter I never have to go in the garage to operate the sprinkler system.

I handle it all from the app. Love it!.

I replaced my existing irrigation timer with the new Rain Bird smart irrigation system. Installation was simple, and connection and setup was straight forward. Connecting through the App sometimes is slow, but generally connects without issue.

Setting up schedules through the app is really easy, and I love the fact that I can control everything without having to go into the garage where the base unit is.

I had a very old Toro sprinkler controller from the late 70’s (No kidding, late 70’s!) Extremely antiquated and very difficult to program. Every time there was a power outage I had to reprogram it. A few weeks ago it died of old age.

I went on-line and found the Rachio product. It arrived within four days. It was extremely simple to install and program. Now I control my watering from an app on my iPhone. I love it. I would NOT recommend using the weather forecast feature, it’s not reliable.

My local weather forecast called for 20% chance of rain, so the Rachio app automatically cancelled my watering day. It never rained at my house. Rather, it was 93 degrees and sunny all day. My lawn went two full days in full summer heat without water.

Had to hand water the dry spots to bring them back. If it gets windy or rainy you can always just pull out your phone and cancel watering for that day. Easy-peasy.

Too soon to comment. So far the Rachio has been on rain and weather non schedule mode. I hit the “too soon” link by mistake which went to supplier. I actually did receive the Rachio controller so could you tell supplier not to initiate shipment trace? My last Rachio controller was wonderful but too soo to comment on this one, OK? Easy to set up zones to enable operation. After that it gets more difficult. Controller app will not allow multiple start times for a schedule. You must manually recreate the schedule with a different name if you want to run it again at a different time.

If you want to cycle and soak, you have almost zero control over exact cycle times and soak times- the controller assumes the user has no brain and takes over the setting of cycle and soak times. User must create three or four times as many schedules as are really needed in order to run duplicate schedules multiple times.

Surely a controller manufacturer as sophisticated as Rachio claims to be can allow multiple start times for the same schedule. Orbit and a bunch of other people do it- why can’t Rachio?.

Read the reviews which were a little mixed. My system sits on the far side of the house and every time I run a test or make a change it is really a pain so I made the purchase. Followed the instructions all went well until it said this controller isn’t supported, lol always has to be something.

Called Rainbird mine was a 2013 controller, so ordered the new front panel less than $50 so not bad. Controller was an easy install and then put in the wifi adapter and it worked after one call to Rainbird.

I had just installed 7,000 sq ft of new sod. I have waited about two weeks before making this review. It has worked perfectly. Running twice a day with new sod so when the rains come I can shut off the second watering.

I can now also water two of the zones that need more watering rather than all zone. So far a great purchase.

My wife and I own a house in Austin but live overseas. Before we purchased the module we had to pay $400-500 per month when our sprinkler system kept going on at insane hours for some reason. It was a mess! Now, when in Shanghai or Taipei or Paris or anywhere we often go on our travels, we can check the local Austin weather reports and adjust our sprinkler use – and water bill costs – at any time of the day.

Its incredible and a great investment. The app is easy to use and I prefer adjusting the sprinklers in lazyboy over our garage with mosquitoes eating me raw. Trust me, this is a good investment! Dr J.

Great Product, we can check and follow the irrigation. It’s not expensive, it’s not cheap as well, but it’s a good value. I should buy it before. The App interface is poor, with many problems in UX. Work enough good, but the interface could be better.

I currently have a large Rainbird irrigation system for my lawn and other plants. But when I added a new rose garden in a remote corner of the property, I needed a new zone. Retrofitting to the Rainbird was costly so I decided to try the Bhyve out.

Installation was quick and easy as long as you don’t follow the quick start instructions in the box (which were confusing and inaccurate). I simply signed up at the website on my computer, paired the hub and valve, and let it update the firmware.

All went well. With no issues. The website is the easiest place to learn about the system and all its options. I do not use many of the features as I only need basic watering on a schedule for one zone.

I installed drip irrigation so water usage is minimal. For those that have multiple zones and more complex watering schedules, this is a good solution. It even has a smart watering feature that helps you save water if it is going to rain anyway.

Remote control via the app is a nice feature as well. Bottom line, the Bhyve has been working perfectly as programmed for two weeks. Time will tell how this works in the future, but it appears to be well made and may only need proper winterization and a fresh set of batteries next year.

First of all, I Love the product and am impressed with the technology! My only issues from making t 5 stars are I have multiple ones and it’s not obvious how to monitor them all at one time. It seems you have to pick the device then change the settings, then pick the next one.

It’s a mild inconvenience and possibly due to my lack of understanding. Also, the scheduling is a bit awkward. They have smart watering or set schedule and it’s one or the other, while other systems I use have a schedule and you modify that schedule based on rain.

A lot of this could be fixed with app updates and the product has been perfect as far as setup and communication. Very impressed with the technology!.

I purchased two of these devices. Unfortunately, when the device turns the water off at the spigot, it causes a loud “water hammer,” in my pipes. This hammer causes a lot of pressure in the pipes and is not good for the plumbing.

I reached out to orbit for a solution and they suggested I buy a “water hammer arrestor. ” I purchased the arrestor, and had the arrestor installed on my pipes. This install took some time. The problem persisted with the water hammer and I reached out again to orbit.

They had no other solutions and refused to give me a refund due to me being outside the 30 day return window. I would not recommend this product.

Reasonably easy to use. Anything with a small display is difficult to see the big picture. Might be easier to use with the wi-fi interface but I don’t have internet access at the location of the controller.

Probably in the interest of making it seem simpler to use that it really is, some features in the abbreviated instructions included with the controller are left out. At least some of these features are included in a second set of instructions that I found after I searched the internet on my phone to fine the answer I was looking for.

I may be old fashioned, but, I still like a complete instruction book included, particularly with a relatively expensive piece of equipment, one that you may be installing away from your regular internet.

Appeared to be the best and reasonably price unit to handle my 19 zones that are split into 3 programs, running on different days of the week.

I wanted to upgrade my RB controller to add control from my cell phone. It was easy to replace the old controller. Was able to use two of my old 4 zone modules to get my 13 zones. Adding the cell module was easy.

I am still learning the APP. Some functions are fairly straightforward and some have required research to figure out. So far I am pleased with the upgrade.

This works great. I got it because my controller is hard to get to so the WiFi makes it much easier but the automatic adjustments for weather were a VERY happy bonus.

I just bought my second one of these – one for the front yard now, had one for my garden previously. I wanted people to know – if you need to cover different areas of your house with WIFI, get the full WIFI hub + Timer/Valve set because the timer/valve itself is NOT WIFI, it communicates with the hub using bluetooth, so be prepared for that – one hub might not have a bluetooth range long enough to get across your house (range realistically about 10-15ft).

I presume they left the timer/valve bluetooth only for energy conservation reasons, which makes sense so you don’t have to replace the batteries as often, but you do have to get enough WIFI hubs (which plug into the wall) to cover each area you need a timer/valve with bluetooth.

In my case I needed two, since I have one timer/valve for the front of the house, and one for the back where the garden is located. Other than that little caveat, these things are great, no complaints so far.

Turning on manual watering at the unit a little tricky, but there’s a LED indicator that helps you know how long you’ve held the button down. The beauty is in setting the timer for an amount of time with your phone, though – no more forgetting the water is on! Haven’t even tried the smart watering function, but I’m sure it’s amazing.

It’s got more AI than I ever imagined. Seems to be targeted at lawns more than gardens, so I’m not sure if it’ll apply to my situation, but it sure is neat :).

This is just what I have been looking for to irrigate my flower beds and potted plants. I will ultimately have five of them serving different zones around my home. I have four in place now, and they are working as expected.

I did have some connectivity issues early on with the first one I purchased, but I am not sure if it was the unit’s fault, as they have all been working well for several weeks now.

NO cons so far, only pros…. very convenient to use even with manual watering. It provides the water usage after watering completed.

While hating to replace an older controller with something that seemed much more complicated, I’m glad I did. I have so many more watering options than before. Now that CA is in drought again, being able to precisely manage water consumption is critical.

I bought the unit because mine was the ESP-4MEI with no WiFi link. The unit came with the outside box and all the components inside, I was only looking for the display and control unit, but now I have a replacement for the rest if I need.

Was an upgrade from my esp controller but I wanted wi fi worked as expected was a little hard to get use to but everything thing is working fine with some help from rain bird techs

Hmm owned for a few months, and then it went to a red Statius bar, I soft and hard reset it and nothing, my grass was starting to dry. I bought the outdoor enclosure box as well and it was in there being protected from the elements the entire time.

Still looks like new but it failed and called and went through the same process with customer support and it still failed. When it works though this thing is fun, I have cameras outside my house and the neighbors used to let their dogs poop on my yard, which led to other problems.

So I would get a notification saying motion detected in my yard and I was away and couldn’t do anything about it. Now when I get the motion in my yard for the dogs, rabbits, squirrels and any other rodent that lives in my neighbors houses, I have so much fun watching them run for their life when I turn my sprinkler system on from 30 miles away.

I live in the sunshine state so our grass is always green so we water year round. And this def helps keep my grass green saves me on water bills and gives me loads of fun. But unfortunately a product that fails after a few months and is so pricey shouldn’t.

So 3/5 for me. If you buy this get the geek squad replacement protection becuase I am getting mines replaced so I can go back to blasting tsunamis on these uninvited guest in my yard! Oh and if you’re not tech savvy this thing is literally plug and play you don’t need to be a genius to do this, if you can tie your shoes you can def do install this!.

Really didn’t know what to expect from this little guy. My old controller died, and I was looking for a new controller that I could incorporate into my smart home. This product nails it and then some.

Installation was simple. Actually took longer to drill the hole and hang it than making the wire connections. Setting up the app took a few minutes getting the wifi connected. After that it, I tested the zones and I was up and running.

The app takes into consideration if you live under watering restrictions. Speaking of the app, it’s not really pretty but gets the job done. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone that needs a new controller or wants to add to their smart home.

Really nice upgrade. Gotta love the wifi. I’m gone most of the time and this is doing a great job of maintaining my lawn when my renter “forgets” to water or simply doesn’t understand the responsibility of maintaining a fine lawn.

I am learning the “smart watering” component. After studying it I now know which knows better – the B-Hyve LOL. Now I just need to install a rain gauge monitor.

The instruction to get this system to function at terrible and the only thing any worse is the almost no customer support. Who has time to wait 24 hours for a call back that never comes. Plus itt not even heavy enough to be a good boat anchor!.

Dont waste your money or patience on this nightmare!.
