My family members are having so much fun in getting a “core” workout using the Wii Fit Game with Wii Balance Board – (Refurbished), since we can also compare our results and progress. the wii fit board is compatible with many wii games that are all geared for moving bodies, and they cover exercise, skiing, golf, and many other interesting subjects. With the Wii Fit program, i was able to ‘walk’ 3000 steps in 30 minutes, and do some hula hoop motions that tone the obliques and hips.

i bought a second wii fit board that i don’t plan to use with the gaming system. i plan to use it as a low step with the music of my choice, and build up my cardio endurance and heart health once again.

I can spend 30 minutes a day indoors, out of bad, cold weather, and not have to worry about wearing a mask to workout on a treadmill at the gym.

My mom (late 50s) absolutely loves exercising with the Wii Fit board! I rated it 4/5 stars because it sometimes does not detect her movement as smoothly as she would like. Otherwise it’s been great in helping her develop and enjoy her exercise routine.

I highly recommend for anyone middle-aged or wiser looking for a way to keep in shape at home.

We purchased the Wii balance board seperately from our gaming console as we needed it to play games such as Wii Fit. We have not been disappointed with the preformance of this gaming system, as it is a very real experience! I find that I like my kids playing this much more than things like their Nintendo DS or X-Box gaming systems because of the level of excercise that they receive in comparison.

I especially like the basic games like baseball, bowling and skiing – oh and Mario Cart! Also, my daughter and I have spent countless afternoons having a blast playing the Just Dance series games! Graphics Quality Love the graphics on this gaming system! You would think that you are right there in the game sometimes, it is just so real.

The 3d experience is amazing, especially compared to systems of the past. Fantastic and well worth the money spent! Game Variety The variety of games available is wonderful, but they can get a little pricey for us.

I would like to have a variety of not so expensive games available. Controller Comfort Love the controllers that came with our Wii gaming system, but there are several other options available also, additions for games such as steering wheels, golf clubs etc.

Some are better than others but all work well. Ease of Use If I can use this, anyone can! Super easy and self-explanatory! Durability No problems with durability of this system or the Wii board. Good value all around!.

This game is a port of the 2004 XBOX game Yourself!Fitness. It was released the next year on PC and PS2. The difference being that this Wii version, now named “My Fitness Coach,” doesn’t include the food menu/nutrition section.

I loved the game back in the day, and never used the nutrition portion anyways. I still own my XBOX copy (it’s backwards compatible with the XBOX 360) and the PC version (requires the v1. 1 patch and a NO-CD crack to work on modern computer) of Yourself!Fitness.

I went ahead and bought the Wii version also, since I have my Wii in the den, and has a little more room to workout. So why wouldn’t I buy a more modern Wii workout program vs this 2004 port of Yourself!Fitness? I just like the style of this one.

no cartoony looking mini games or bobble headed instructors, or using a Wiimote or Balance Board. just a realistic instructor with good commentary and a huge variety of workouts from Yoga to Pilates to Cardio.

It also lets you incorporate REAL workout equipment like steps, weights, and balance balls. That’s all I need: no high tech gadgetry, just someone that keeps me motivated and tells me what to do next.

I’m docking a star, as there was a real opportunity to upgrade the original game, but this is truly just a nerfed port of a game half a decade old at the time.

I decided to by My Personal Trainer, because I had Wii Fit, and I heard it was better. Not only is it better in that there are only useful rests occasionally, but it’s a total body workout that really will put you in shape, not pretend to like Wii Fit.

I love that it relies on my measurements instead of focusing on my weight and BMI also. I like that I can focus on yoga, cardio, or a certain part of my body for the day and the exercises are formed around MY capabilities and not, say, my husband’s.

Our workouts are so different since he is able to do so much more than me. However, it is not low impact like Wii Fit and if you have an old injury that is out of shape, you’ll feel it. The best part is that it is a REAL workout.

It gets the sweat going, the heartrate up, and the muscles moving. My strength, endurance, and flexibility have all increased do to it. I love that it asks how each section of a session felt so that it will make it easier, harder, or the same difficulty next time based upon me and how I feel.

Time passes quickly and time isn ‘t lost going from one exercise to another. It doesn’t take a 40-45 minutes to do 15 minutes of workout like Wii Fit seems to. I have lost 2 lbs in the last 3 weeks from doing it.

I never get bored with it, since everyday is different, and it has a fitness evaluation like every 2 wks or 10 sessions(something like that) to see your progress. I also love that it is a whole lot cheaper than Wii Fit and it uses exercise equiptment you have like a step bench, weights, one of those exercise balls, and something else, but I don’t remember what.

I’m so glad I bought it!.

I purchased Wii Fit first and got a bit bored with it after only a couple of weeks. I LOVE My Fitness Coach. You get a great workout with this game that is tailored to your skills and abilities and you don’t get bored! I have been using this game about 6 weeks and I have lost about 25 pounds and tons of inches.

I find myself sweating after only 10 minutes and really getting a good burn. I love that you are able to concentrate on the areas you want to, including Core, Upper body, Lower body and flexibility. You also have the ability to choose straight cardio or yoga.

I would have given it an excellent rating, however, I think there were a few small areas that could have easily made this game so much better. First, I would have liked to have “Maya” tell me when to change sides, or switch, etc.

She emphasizes that you keep form, but you have to break form to watch your TV to see when you have to switch sides on several of the exercises. This seems like it would have been an easy addition to the game.

Letting her say “Okay, left side now” or “Okay, rotate right now” Second, there should be the ability to exclude exercises you can not do due to physical abilities. There are two exercises I am unable to do, as they put severe pressure on my tailbone causing pain.

Not sure why, but I can’t do them and would like the ability to tell the game to exclude those exercises so I can have substituted something I can do. I just do crunches through them now. Third, the yoga flows are great, but I wish she would repeat the directions everytime because I really hate looking at the screen to figure out what comes next.

I think the ability to ask for more direction would be nice. Turning directions on and off or something. Last, the progress charts are great, but I wish they gave actual numbers. The bar graph makes it very difficult to read to see how many pounds/inches you have lost and gained.

You really can’t tell what the exact numbers are with the graph the way it is. You can only see the trend and get an idea.

With covid, just picking up additional exercise options. Had a lot of exercises on the switch but the Wii has proven to be useful as well. This program is like the precursor to fitness boxing on the switch.

The boxing aspect is similar though workout are a little shorter. But this program has additional exercises fitness boxing doesnt have. The program seems useful now and in the long term even when We are out of covid.

I am constantly searching for new games for my new Nintendo Wii. The more active the game is the better, as I am seeking to lose a bit of weight. Working at a computer all day, and a 1. 5 commute, leaves me little time to get to a gym or go to the local walking tracks.

While the title for this game is a bit misleading, you may think it is just your basic “workout” program, it leans more into Boxing, or Shape Boxing for the workout. (there is a customer reviewer Video of this “game” on Amazon.

com that I find very good, and if you have doubts about liking this game I recommend it. ) There are several optional exercises that you will unlock as your boxing training progresses. You can choose exercises that use the Wii balance board, but I like the fact that you can do the main boxing, and “tests” of your boxing skills, as well as some other exercises without the board, as I have not yet invested in that controller.

While the choices for your Character are limited, compared to the Wii Mii that you can create, for say the Sports Disc that came with the Wii, its is adequate, as you only see your character from the front when you are choosing outfits, exercises, or changing your stats.

The rest of the time you only see a phantom silohoutte of yourself in order to do the boxing and other exercises. As you progress you will accumulate points that you can spend on clothing, boxing gloves, shoes, and for now extras like a panda bear, though it is about 50k points and I haven’t accumulated that many yet.

This can be a very fast paced game, (and thus the name Cardio portion of this titles’ name) as boxing requires rapid movement to hit the targets on time. You will learn how to hold the proper boxing stance, for left and right hands, as well as how to throw the varying punches, jab, cross, upper cuts, and how to duck or dodge oncoming blows.

There are varying levels and you can change back and forth from light to heavy workouts, as you want. You can do a planned workout that the training instructor picks, or select your own from an “ala carte” menu.

One of the additional exercises, that I have enjoyed the most is one in which you dodge punches that a robot throws at you. The first day I did that one, I found muscles I didn’t know existed in my abdomen, and upper thighs! Some of the movements, you may have to “exaggerate” for the system to read properly, like the dodging and weaving, but I believe that adds to the exercise effect of the game, and gives and even better work out than you would normally receive making the same moves without the systems feedback, of reading or not reading the movements.

What I also found outstanding about this game is, in most games in which you need to use both your right and left hands, you must use one controller and a nunchunk attachment. In Golds Gym Cardio, you can do this, or you can use 2 controllers, thus having no dangling wires to interfere with your punches, or weaving/dodging.

Each day when you complete a workout you get to mark the calender with a punch stamp, letting you know you worked out that day. In the stat menu you can also record your weight at the beginning, and however often you choose to weigh.

Along with returning to a properly balanced diet, set up by the hospital dietcian/nurtionist for my needs, and working out for one hour a day for the past week, I lost approximately 6 pounds. All in all I am very pleased at this “game”!! Happy gaming!.

If you don’t want to sweat or have your muscles ache , then buy another fitness game. Of course, like any wii game, you get what you put in. If you are serious about getting in shape, this workout can help.

I’ve done the routine nearly everyday since it arrived, and can feel the difference in my clothes. I also have more energy throughout my long days. The avatars seemed rather simple when I first popped in the game.

But that feeling quickly faded when the routine started. It puts you through a good sweat! You can choose to use the fitness board or two remotes. I use the 2remote method as it makes the movements feel more realistic.

I purchased a second copy for my adult daughter who had a baby six months ago because she wanted my copy after trying it. Great value!!.

I like that this work out starts off at what I can handle and then increases in difficulty as I see fit. The movements not only are a good workout but help with balance and control. I didn’t notice any issues with it being a refurbished video.

Wii Fit takes the whole concept of games as exercise to a new level with the inclusion of a balance board peripheral that can tell you on the fly exactly how well–or how poorly–you’re doing with its various activities.

As such, Nintendo is heavily marketing this innovative title as a mixture of fitness and fun, and for the most part it works. It’s a decent alternative for those bored with the repetitiveness of going to a gym or too self-conscious to join a yoga or aerobics class.

Unfortunately, Wii Fit is hamstrung by some odd omissions (such as not being able to create your own program from the available exercises) and questionable health advice, limiting its effectiveness both as a fitness tool and as a game.

At the core of the Wii Fit experience is the new balance board, an elegant-looking yet surprisingly sturdy peripheral which features several internal scales that can detect changes in weight and pressure as you’re standing on it.

The board–which is also quite hefty at roughly 8. 8 lbs (4kgs)–interacts wirelessly with the Wii, and takes four AA batteries (which are included). The board has four rubber feet to help prevent it from slipping on smooth surfaces (and even comes with four extra feet that can be used to raise your balance board higher should you have thick carpet on your floors).

I had gotten the first My Fitness Coach, and absolutely LOVED it. I wanted to diversify and expand my work-out, and the nutritional aspect of this sequel intrigued me. It is totally awesome, as well.

I am surprised they could make a 2nd one as good as the first. But let me tell you this: It is an entirely different format. In part 1, Maya, the virtual coach puts you through an increasingly difficult aerobic workout, which you control the intensity of.

In part 2, you can choose from 4 different coaches, each with different focus fields, 2 of each sex to choose from. There are different work-out locations, and you do each calisthenic (sp?) one at a time, and get rated on your correct performance of the exercise.

I LOVE this work-out format, for when I’m exhausted and don’t really feel like working out, but need to get some form of movement in for the day. Sometimes I do it in addition to the original fitness routine.

It also includes nutritional advice, menus, recipes, and is over all a great supplement to your fitness routine, however, less intense it may be. You have to earn up to more intensity!.

I really am enjoying the fun workouts. The workouts are short and really get my heart pumping. One good feature is that during a workout picked by your personal trainer, you have a heart rate checkpoint.

The only negative thing i would have to say about this workout is that the game does not tell you how much total time you have worked out for the day. For example, you can do all the practice dance routines, but the game does not give you a total time of workout.

The hardest game would be the jump rope, you may be jumping, but it is the controller that needs to move along with your body, also has a delayed reaction. Very tiring trying to jump rope and get it right, making for a good workout.

I would totally recommend this fun workout game.

I had surgery on my stomach September 2012, and for some reason my stomach would not go down. I have always had a flat stomach, even after giving birth to four kids, my stomach went back to size. I was determine to flatten my stomach, I did sit ups, crunches, nothing seem to work.

I was online looking for some Wii games for my kids, and I saw the dance workout. I figure why not give it a try. I also purchased the waist trimmer belt by Gold GYm. I put the belt on before I start the workout, and I have to honestly say it works! The workout teaches you Latin dances, kick boxing, cardio, etc they even gives you a personal trainer, that helps you work on particular parts of your body.

My stomach has went down so much, I will give it another week and my stomach will be back to normal size! I am not getting paid to write this, get the game and you will see and feel the results yourself.

After each work out your stomach will feel lighter.

I bought this for my daughter to do this summer for her online gym class because it was different from the Wii Fit, which we both were getting bored with. OMG!! Talk about a workout that is fun and makes you sweat.

There are fun games as well as the latin dance and cardio boxing. You work EVERYTHING. The choreography is not difficult to follow at all. I love this workout and think I will be using this for quite awhile.

I have been using this for almost 2 weeks now and I am 2 cans into my 6 pack.

Really enjoying these and a great way to keep fit. Very energetic and i need to get in loads of practice to get the moves right. There is no calendar and it is hard to track your progress ie which class did i take last.

These are minor things. One tip is to make sure the Wii controller is the right way , it doesn’t matter for the First Zumba but it does for these. Couldn’t understand why I was getting any stars and thought i was just doing it wrong until i read the instructions LOL.

Love this game. I have been waiting for some time to try Zumba and had to lose three auctions before I finally got this one. Totally worth the wait. If prefer to play games, or dance, rather than workout I highly recommend this game.

It is the most challenging workout I have done to date. The coolest thing is you are bouncing around your living with bumping beats and it doesn’t feel like exercise. The only complaints I have for this particular game is they do not break down the dances well.

You will spend way to long on a simple leg movement and then all of a sudden the dancer is doing something crazy fast and a complete different movement. It misses some points in regards to belly dancing and how to do the hand circles and arm movements correctly.

Don’t get too caught up on having to do everything perfect. Jump right into the dancing it is alot easier that way. In the play mode you can pick the individual dance routines which are varying degrees of difficulty but focus on one short routine which last about 5 minutes.

You have options to work with. You can slowly build up to the full dance and get to focus on areas where you may be lacking. This game definitely can suit a beginner with a little dance experience all the way to a Latin dance pro.

I imagine I will be playing well after I get back in shape.

I have taken many classes in Zumba and wanted a tape that I could use at home that would be as exhilarating as a real class. I had purchased the “Zumba Join the Party” Fitness tape and have danced to it for about 6 months, got bored, and needed a new tape to supplement my knowledge of Zumba.

I was also not satisfied with its graphics, (just a little above stick figurines) and it’s limited number of levels. The Zumba Fitness 2 gives you many more songs, better graphics, and unlocks more songs and awards each time you reach another level of expertise.

You can start out with minimal skill on the lower levels and advance to high energy dance steps, as your knowledge of the dance steps progresses. Each time a new step is introduced on the tape, you are shown on the screen how to do the step properly.

After every workout, you get a reading in percentage of your knowledge and performance of the dance moves and how many calories you burned each session. If you do not wish to do an entire workout, you can choose each song individually, and make up your own workout according to your own time frame.

The Zumba Fitness 2 also shows you past performances so you can continue to hone your knowledge of the dance steps and improve your score. The only thing wrong with this product is the graphics, even though they are much better than “Zumba, Join the Party,” the first Zumba for WII, they now look like robots, not real persons at all, which takes some time to get used to.

For the money, this is however, the best Zumba for WII tape so far, with its improved graphics, steps shown to you before each new move, ability to see how well you’ve improved, calories burned each session and more games to challenge yourself.

I would definitely recommend this fitness tape to anyone from beginner to seasoned Zumba enthusiast.

I have a Wii and live this game. You can use it with or without the balance board. We used this during shutdowns to keep active on rainy days, the boxing, baseball, volleyball, etc. work pretty well for us.

This is great! When you can’t get to the gym, this is a well rounded workout. Easy to follow; tried it this past Sunday for the first time — how out of shape I am!!

Great game and great workout. You have to be consistent with the game aka workout. I definitely think it helped me get out of bed and I have less pain since I been using this. I recommend this who need help and hate working out.

This is a fun way to get moving when you really can’t afford to go out and exercise. The graphics are fun, the music is toe tapping so that you have a beat to walk along. The system is designed to keep you occupied without getting bored.

As you watch the screen it makes you feel as if you are really walking in a park. Sometimes, you actually forget that you are exercising because you are just having fun. The games are such that the whole family can play along with you.

I love this game. My son gets to exercise and it is fun. Don’t let the fact that it’s kid friendly fool you. I work out with him and get an excellent workout. I am just starting back on getting into shape and I have found this to be one of the best way to include exercise, my son and the ease of doing it at home.

Love the levels. “Easy” allows our 5 year old to do most of the games with ease. Even with nunchuck and controller, it’s not too hard for all members to play and have fun. We’ve had several “E for everyone” games that aren’t this easy to use.

You don’t need to be overweight to enjoy the benefits of this game. It helps you increase your suppleness, strengthens your back without you realizing it, increases your stamina and helps arm-leg coordination.

The first level routines (i. e. the first ones in each of the various routine types) are only 3-5 minutes long and you can advance through the stages and increasingly longer sessions at your own pace.

You need a WiiRemote with movement sensor, because your arm movements etc. are sensed and encouraging words (OK – good – awesome) appear on the screen. I wish there were a few more dance routines, but otherwise there are loads of choices as you left-swipe through the various pages of routines.

In addition you can use the points you gain to “purchase” more routines, additional trainer figures etc. The only thing that doesn’t work on mine are the three “To Do Today” exercises – when I tap on them, nothing happens and I have been unable to find out why.

I switched off the option to allow it online access – I do not particularly like the idea of having my personal details or those of my progress being transmitted somewhere. All in all it is really good and I enjoy my daily sessions.

While I love the variety of exercise/classes, and the way it offers challenges, there are some issues with this product. The workouts are too short. They last only 5-7 minutes. Then you have to stop and choose another one.

It ruins the momentum. I’m pretty sure that the calorie count is wrong, even though they require you to put in your height and weight. It tried to tell me that I burned more calories during the zen workout (slow-pace yoga moves) than the cardio workout.

They were the same length, but during the cardio workout I actually worked up a sweat.

I hate going to the gym or running outside, but this makes working out fun. I’ve used EA Active Sports 1 & 2 on the Wii which were okay, but “Your Shape” is way better. You earn virtual credits as you complete exercises and random daily “To-Do’s” present you with workout challenges that will earn you extra credits.

You can use these credits online to unlock new exercises and trainers. You can even compete in online global events. I actually look forward to working out every day after work and I’m usually soaked by the time I’m done, so I know I’m getting something out of it.

I am a stay at home mom of two toddlers and purchased this product to help stay in shape. I was surprised to learn that Jillian does not include any warm ups in any of her workouts, unlike her videos, which include a few minutes of warming up, and cooling down.

She also has you run in place for about 5 minutes at the beginning of each workout which takes a toll on my knees and ankles. I usually use a treadmill, which doesn’t bother me at all. Some of the moves are also very difficult to perform in a way that the Wii recognizes them as accurate.

Particularly the bicycle move. Also, you can create a workout program for yourself but you cannot modify it once it’s made. I gave this product 3 stars because the ab routine really does give your abs a good workout.

My entire core, including my obliques, were sore for two days after the first time I completed the workout. My neck and back were not. I have noticed a nice change in that area in a short amount of time.

This product does give you a good workout! Another positive is that it has a section you go to where Jillian shows you how to do each move correctly. For those reasons, this product is a good value. Just make sure you warm up before beginning your workout!.

I bought the Jillian Michaels’ Fitness Ultimatum 2010 for Wii and it is great!!! I have already lost 9 pounds. I bought it because I wanted to loose weight and exercise in the privacy of my home. It is not only a good way to get in shape, but it is so much fun.

You can choose the routines that are right for you. You can choose your own music to workout to. There are real life like scenic views on an island where you exercise. It actually takes my mind off of the stress of trying to work out, and makes me feel as though I am actually on a island with my personal trainer, and having fun while getting fit.

Jillian also interacts with you to tell you if you are doing things correctly. You will also be able to keep up with your calorie intake. There are plenty of health tips that are given to you too.

This game looks like it will be great, and I was stoked to get it, but it’s not. You set up your profile and go to the exercises, and unless you click “help,” nothing will be described or explained to you.

When you do click help, the descriptions of the exercises are in tiny print and are not spoken aloud as with Wii Fit. No animated person will help walk you through how to do things correctly either. It’s monotonous and boring and makes exercising exactly that.

Also, it constantly asks you to get a measurement if you use the balance board. I’m disappointed.

I tryed only once. There some kind of learning curve with the equipments and how to do the exercises. Because it come with a strap you need to assemble (not very hard, the instructions are with the manual).

BL does not have any games like Sport Active have. I found the game really fun to play. You don’t have to but you can use the balanced board wish is a great add on to the game. Especially boxing. There is a 30 day program.

Some exercises have a learning curve. As you have to place your hads a certain way. But don’t get discouraged for that, the trainer is very patient. You might run into some technical difficulties at first.

I tough it would ruin the whole experience but it did not. You get to see your calories burning as you make every little move. And it’s in real time. I was able to burn a lot more calories than biggest looser in 30 minutes.

But it might have to do with how they see calories burning. But BL is a great game too. I love the elastic band. Before training with a video game, I never knew what exercise to do. Or I would do too much of one.

With Active, I just follow what they told me to do, and it’s fun and rewarding. There is trophies to win, like the first 100 calorie burn. This video game have alot of game in it and it make it more fun.

One thing I did not like what the start. If you did not train for a long time or want to get back in shape. It start you on a track where you have to walk then all the sudden run. I think it’s too harsh when you get started.

BL have a warm up time where you start slowly. But Active do not push you too much later, it let you rest during the exercise. But overall I think they did a great job with that game. I know there is an active 2, but the gear seem flimsy, that is why I looked on the first version.

Kids love it too, even if the strap was too loose for them, it come with an extra velcro to fix that problem. I really wish a lot of people had that game to get healthier.

We are under a stay at home order and I really miss my 3X a week Zumba Classes! You can change your “venue” and have about 15-20 different programs to choose from. It gives you feedback as you “ace” the steps.

There are 5 stars on the bottom of the screen and you get rated for each song you dance to. At the end you get a total score, a total calories burned, and maybe a promotion to the next level. There is a main “instructor” facing you, with class members behind them.

You just mirror the instructor’s movements. There is no audio telling you “good job” or any of that. Your stars are your only feedback. All you hear is the music. There is no floorwork in this CD, that I have found so far.

I have Core and Rush and really really like them- but I have all of the steps down and I wanted a change. I tried the other Zumba- shoot I dont remember the name but it wasnt Core, Rush or this one so it leaves one other one and it was horrible.

Completely different menu. I HATED it! Then I read the reviews for this one and gave it a try. I absolutely LOVE it. The people in it are very real, and for whatever reason I sweat more with this one than I do with the other two.

Maybe its because I have to work harder cuz I dont know all the dances (?). At the same time, since I know the basics, its fairly easy to get right in there. I was worried about that cuz Ive gained weight and didnt want to waste a lot of time learning new dances.

I had high expectations for this game, but i was very disappointed. The instructor is a “real” person, but is extremely small, i cannot see what she is doing. The better you do, the more dancers come and crowd the screen, and the flashy background is not only annoying and distracting, but makes the tiny instructor more difficult to see.

The font and main menu on this game are also tiny and it takes a very long time to load between the songs. I own the other three Zumba fitness games for wii and although the instructors on Zumba 2 and Zumba core are animated, you can see what they are doing far more clearly and they are much bigger.

I have 8 children and we got the Wii back when the kids were little. We used it then to play games as a family. I’m over 50 now and I wanted to try to get back in shape. I purchased a Wii fit board and I use it to play games and challenge myself.

I find it fun and not really “exercise” so I love doing it. It isn’t like I’m watching some woman who is already fit trying to encourage me. Instead my Wii person looks like me. slightly overweight but she smiles and she tries.

I find it fun and it is helping me to work out every day.

It didn’t work at first because there were exploded batteries inside and the coils corroded. However, after a cleaning, the board works now. The kids love the games, and I love the wiifit game. Thank you.

I bought this after using the 1st generation of EA active for the Wii with the balance board. As with the first version you need to use the remote with the nunchuk. I like most am not able to use the leg strap so I simple made a trip to Walmart’s and grabbed a pair of Danskins with the pocket in front and it works great.

Now on to the review. I like that they have included a warm-up/stretch and cool down. I admit to skipping it sometimes especially when I am in a hurry. There are some more intense exercises that I am still working my way up to.

There is a great obstacle course which helps to keep me from being bored with it. For any of the running, I just don’t get it to respond well for running in place so I actually clear a path and just make a little circle around my couch or back and forth behind it.

All in all, this is very similar to the 1st gen but with improvements and different exercises including floor work. No matter what I believe you will get out of it what you put into it.

I just got it b/c Wal-Mart has it for $19. 98. I see that the price is going down on this game at other stores but the original is still $60 but I got that on sale for $45 a while back. I love both these games.

20 minutes on either EA Sports Active game works you out better than 45 to 60 minutes on Wii Fit Plus. I only did 2 workouts so far but its just as good as the original. I love the new exercises especially the obstacle course.

The workouts are much shorter than the original and the Warm up and cool downs are a nice touch. Another plus is there is less running. I don’t care too much for the running in the original. I can do without the crushes and the cool down b/c I hate laying on the fool and crushes tent to give me stomach cramps.

All in all this is a great game and I’m glad that the price went down. If any of you haven’t got it yet now is the best time since its at a great price. If you don’t the original with the resistance band and leg strap, all you have to do is get the pack with the leg strap and band for $19.

99. There is a pack with 2lb wrist/ ankle weights included for the same price. I’m planning on getting that one since my leg strap is about to break and I want to include weights in my workouts. Also, if you are trying to lose weight it’s best to incorporate both the original and EA Sports More Workouts to get a better workout.

EA Sports Active More Workouts is better than the Wii Fit b/c it works you out better and is cheaper.

Before this game, I tried Gold’s Cardio Gym, Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus. I decided to buy it based on Wii exercise game reviews I read. This one beats the other exercise games hands down. EA Sports Active More Workouts puts you through great cardio workouts.

I use a mix of boxing and step the most. There are also games like Squash, Paddling, and water skiing that get you doing squats and lunges in a fun way. I’ve only done the exercises with the exercise band a few times since I’m more interested in cardio workouts at this time, but those seem pretty good as well.

I am using the balance board option, which is a definite plus with the step exercises. The only problem I found is that if you are carrying the extra weight to work off, the thigh accessory that holds the nunchuk is going to be very uncomfortable or just won’t fit.

That’s easy to get around though – I fashioned a holder out of a small cloth bag that I safety pin to shorts, that works great. Overall, I highly recommend this game for anyone interested in getting a good workout on the Wii!!.
