19 Best Wild Rice Brand (2022 Updated)

I opened a two pound bag of this rice which was purchased in a store in town. We were blown away by the taste – really beautiful combination of sweet rice with the other flavors. I went to this website but the only available size was 25 pounds.

Because we strictly follow a WFPBNO diet, rice is a staple in our kitchen along with beans. This rice is actually exciting to eat. BUT I best keep the quantity a secret from my husband ( though he did comment on the excellent flavor).

Just gotta figure out how I’ll manage to carry the 25 pounds into the house.

I used the rice to cook congee and drink it everyday after a major operation. I recovered well and regained my energy much faster than expected. The taste was nice and the mix of rice grains was good.

I particularly liked the chewy texture of the congee. Very good quality product!.

This is the most Awesome rice ever. I never ate rice until I discovered this after I turned 50. Then I discovered the blend that came in a pink package that I could have eaten at every meal. LOL. I don’t find that anymore, but this is just as delicious.

I keep it simple by measuring everything out and tossing a chicken bullion cube in with 2 c water and a generous dribble of Greece’s EVOO. Don’t overcook. Keep it firm. Sooooo delicious!.

The Lundberg Organic rice is a quality product no matter what flavor you order. I think all the flavors are good. If you cook it according to the package directions, it always turns out just perfect.

Lundberg Organic Rice is the only rice I will eat because it is healthy and has excellent taste and texture.

I didn’t realize there was sugar in the seasoning pack so unfortunately I couldn’t use that…. but the rest of the blend of rices was very good. If you ever take the sugar out I will gladly re-order. Because I enjoyed the good rice blend.

This is delicious!! The basil is an amazing addition to the nutty wild rice and garlic is always great in everything. Like most Lundberg products, we buy it by the case!

Love this blend. Sometimes mix it half and half with brown basmati for a lighter texture with nutty flavor. Great cooked in chicken broth or broth with a bit of green chili sauce or red pepper added.

Healthy whole grain and super yummy.

On the package it says to come to this website for instapot cooking instructions for Wild Blend rice. Can’t find it anywhere. Nothing in the product pages, nothing in the recipes, nothing returned when I search.

The two departments need to get together and coordinate so that instructions are available!.

Being “curiousincanarica” living 50/50 in U. S. & Canada, this is the absolute best mix of rice available in North America. I use chicken broth & H2O, equal ratio in my rice cooker, sometimes adding dehydrated veggies & a bit of powdered garlic.

I followed the package directions. and as it was cooking, it didn’t smell very good. I also had to cook it a bit longer to evaporate the extra water, but perhaps I didn’t have the heat high enough while cooking it.

After the extra water was gone, I emptied it into a strainer and poured boiling water over it. This helped remove most of the unpleasant smell. It tasted fine in the Chicken and Wild Rice Soup that I made!.

We like the wild rice with good fiber, tastes great. We mix with some brown rice, soak it in water for an hour before starting the electric rice cooker. It cooks well and for sure feels lot healthier than a general white rice.

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of its package size. We want to buy in bulk (>= 5 lb each bag) but only available here as 1 lb bags.

Excellent product at a great price. I recently got into wild rice and bought some decently expensive stuff on Amazon. I loved it but the price wasn’t feasible to buy it frequently. So I looked for alternate sources and found this brand.

It’s much cheaper than other brands but just as tasty. Definitely recommend! When you cook it, it’s done when the rice opens up, doesn’t necessarily take as long as the package says.

LOVE IT. I was tired of buying one pound, containers of wild rice blend at the grocer for $10 dollars and thought I would give this a try. Got the 4 lb. bag and it is better than I expected. It takes a little longer to cook but good things come to those who wait.

It also keeps well in the fridge after cooking so you can heat and eat later without the long cook time. My next purchase will be for the 25 lb. bag.

Love this product and my local Kroger stopped stocking this SKU after COVID. I tried other products and couldn’t find anything that came close to the texture and flavor. I was pleased to see they offer a 25lb bag which will cover my family needs for several months with significant savings.

Ordering process was very easy and straight forward. Package arrive within a week with no issues.

This has to be the best rice I have ever tasted. The wild blend has a wonderful nutty taste. It’s healthy and delicious. I cooked this rice and added it to my sautéed mixture of leek, shiitake mushrooms, garlic and baby spinach.

Then used that mixture to stuff the Baked Acorn squash. It was Amazing.

So I was really obsessed with good health and non-GMO‘s this year. I found out that brown rice is the worst rice regarding arsenic. Somebody lied to us, and told us the brown rice was the best. When in fact is the worst! Likewise, I also discovered that wild rice has the least amount of arsenic.

So I searched all over to find the best prices for wild rice, because I will be cooking wild rice for the rest of my life. I found this particular one at Walmart, and at the time no other place could beat the price.

It is organic USDA organic and non-GMO verified. It taste chewy like brown rice, and it seems impossible to overcook it (bonus). For someone who loves white rice… It can take some time to get used to it.

Lundberg has the best quality rice I have tried, a go to option when it comes to my pantry. The wild rice blend packs tons of flavor, earthy, nutty, complex and almost overpowering. I love it mostly for salads or with a protein with mild flavor (chicken, white fish), since the rice such strong full-bodied aroma.

The bag contains a fairly balanced mix of brown, red, black and wild rice, but the most quantity is of the long grain brown rice. The wild rice will ‘pop’, but otherwise the rice blend keeps a chewy firm texture once cooked.

I really like the bite it has. It’s a rice that’s great both hot and cold. Personally I prefer cooking the rice 40 minutes, rather than 45 (as instructed). The bag has a re-closable velcro press-lok, but I still prefer transferring the rice to an airtight container.

I also like that the brand partnered with Terracycle, so I can send all my empty bags to be recycled.

It’s definitely an acquired taste. Made it this evening and my only problem is the instruction. The pack says it’s 8oz/227 gr. The cooking instructions says to cook 45 gr in 2 1/4 cup of water. Why not just keep the measurements in cups?? Nobody is going to measure out 45 grams.

-_- It also says to bring it to a boil, then reduce to a fast simmer. I did and the eater was gone after 25min, threatening to burn the rice. (It’s supposed to cook for 45-55 min!!) I would advise cooking it on the smallest burner.

Our family has loved this Lundberg Organic Long Grain Brown Rice for many years, a staple at our table. Recently I am not able to find it in any of my grocery stores. I never had trouble buying this delicious rice.

but now it isn’t present on the shelves. Other Lundberg Rice products are available (We have been loving the Jasmine Rice. Thank You!) but our favorite is missing. I see that it’s available on your website and others, but I would rather it be back in the stores like before.

Any possibility that you can send it back to our stores so we don’t have to make special “trips” to order online. Thank you!.

i never really cared for rice until i experienced your Lundberg long grain brown rice. it is amazing. i dice up some vegetables and chicken breast fillets, then scramble four eggs, and combine my cooked rice to form an exemplary meal for myself.

My overall experience with Lundberg has been fantastic. The rice is the best. In the near future I plan to try some of their other products. I’m sure they will be of the same quality, which is excellent.

We buy these for my daughter because she loves them. She will usually just eat them by themselves. They do make a great side dish though and they are a lot easier to cook than just plain wild rice. The price is reasonable too.

I am looking at the nutritional facts as I write this. They’re not great! There is 1,620 mg of sodium in a box. Yikes! There is 960 mg of potassium ( that might be ok). Other than those 2 , there isn’t much of a nutritional value to this at all.

I would call it a filler. I doubt my daughter cares about that right now, but I do. I won’t be eating this myself. At my age(55) … I really need to pay attention to what I eat.

I absolutely love the long grain wild rice. The pouch and the quick cook versions aren’t as good, but i always have this in my pantry. I perfect to eat on its own, as a side or mixed in a recipe. No other brand tastes as good and is definitely worth the cooking time you have to wait.

Whenever I have a craving for wild rice, this is the one I purchase. Good wild rice. Easy to make. Spices up certain dinners with a different flavor/style of rice than my family’s go-to Japanese white rice.

This rice is very easy to prepare. You can make it in the microwave or stove top. It’s very healthy and hearty. It has the perfect seasoning blend. The mix of rice is exactly what I was looking for. It absolutely met my expectations.

I certainly would recommend this to everyone I know.

This item was was $8. 97 for 6. 2oz. I did not realize it was a small box until received. I was unset at the price so I returned for a refund. This item should have been priced at no more than $2. 19.

These are great sides. Always great when you can have dinner done in under 30 minutes. We usually make a little extra so we can have left overs. They can go well with just about anything. We do chicken and rice, pork chops etc and its always a good side.

Its a great option when you want a low cal/carb meal.

Very yummy and satisfying. I added more water than what was listed due to it tasting a little to salty. I used 1 1/2 water and tiny bit extra and it tasted perfect!

I recently started using this rice in my crock pot creamy chicken and wild recipe soup and it is delicious! It comes with a flavor packet that I use in the soup for extra flavor. Great price too!

Countrywild Rice is my favorite rice and I’ve used many brands of rice for over 40 years. Lundberg rice is non-gmo and sustainable and I feel good feeding it to my family. If you are making this rice for the first time read the the directions on the Lundberg website.

I live at high altitude so for this rice I cook for 60 minutes and let it rest for 20 minutes after it is done. The rice is perfection! This blend of rice is the very best. I make a separate batch of Jasmine rice and then when they are both done I mix the two batches together and it is amazing! You will love this rice! It is worth the price to order it online because I can never find it in the stores locally.

I love these boxes of rice and wild rice because I use them as the base for some really quick dinners. I substitute vegetable broth for the water, saute’ some mushrooms and onions, add that to the pot and cook according to package directions.

Add a salad and BAM! Dinner.

Lundberg rice mixes are an easy way to perk up a meal and I do prefer the organic varieties. I particularly like this one as a side dis for salmon. My only small quibble is that the box makes so much that when I’m cooking for just myself, I need to plan 3 meals that include it – but that’s usually not a big deal for me since I like leftovers.

If I don’t want that much, I use the non-organic Farmhouse brand I can find locally which is a very similar mix/taste.

Lundberg Organic Wild Rice with Seasoning is delicious, easy to prepare, and gluten free, unlike the popular wild rice brand. Now that Uncle Ben’s has resorted to pouch style packets, the taste is quite chemical.

Lundberg’s rice retains that crunchy wild, rice tooth and the flavor is so nice with any seafood or meat. Love be this product.

I cook my food and toast my bread all on and in my Atlantic Empress wood cookstove and putting this peanut butter on it fresh from the oven is a dream! So much better than the grocery brands, even other organic brands are no comparison to Nuts peanut butter.

I truly cannot believe the positive reviews on this rice. I’m baffled. I LOVE rice. Even microwaved pouch rice. This rice is traaaaash. I took one bite and threw it out. I didn’t even give it to the dogs.

It has absolutely mo chicken flavor. Yes I know, it’s fake chicken. But it has absolutely no fake chicken flavor either. Somehow it has less flavor than plain jasmine or basmati rice. The small amount of flavor it does have, is nasty.

No amount of salt, pepper, garlic, soy sauce or sriracha could help it. It’s only redeeming quality is that the amount in the pouch is more than most others I buy, for fewer calories. But trust me, it’s not even remotely worth those calories.

I really enjoy rice-a-roni’s chicken rice and was hoping this would have a similar taste, but in convenient pouch form. Nope.

What a nice surprise this was for me. I just love the flavor of this rice. It can be created so many ways to make a delicious side dish or entrée. I was in a bit of a hurry, so I added some ground cumin, fresh and loosely chopped cilantro, and a scrambled egg with a bit of salsa on the side.

I loved it !! Great quick meal for my late lunch/early dinner. I’m very impressed with with Ben’s Ready Rice and am going to buy many more to have fun trying new recipes with it.

This rice has to be toxic. Stinks worse than finding a body decaying for a month at the back of a hog farm on the hottest August day. You can literally taste the metal. I usually donate unopened food I don’t like to the local soup kitchen but this must go in the trash.

I wouldn’t want to intentionally cause harm or disappointment to others. Imagine only being able to eat once every couple of days.

This is a very exotic wild rice for us! I can’t believe how tasty this Northern Wild rice is. My first time that I ordered was to try how it tastes, my second time, to make sure whether we really like this rice, Or just first impression! Because I have been eaten rice since I was a little child.

I learned a lot from my dad what is good quality rice. We enjoy the taste of this wild rice very much. When I cooked it The shape of the rice grain is very long, yet chewy and nutty. Very tasty, indeed.

My third time, I know 1 lbs will last 2 or 3 times, this time we decided to order 15 lbs so that we don’t have to wait until it arrives at our place. I found that this rice is very good when I cooked it as ‘fried rice’.

I cut vegetables-like sweet onions, carrots, scallions, asparagus, shiitake mushroom or fresh mushroom, some chicken breast –cutting the vegetables and mushroom, in small pieces like dice, and egg with the rice follow by black pepper, black sesame, and little Japanese and Thai fish sauce.

It was so YUMMY!.

We love this rice from the Indians of Minnesota — it’s not that grassy stuff usually sold as wild rice. It’s more substantial — the grassy stuff opens into a delicious nutty brown rice. Very tasty in all the ways we use regular rice.

I am familiar with cooking wild rice and have done so many times. One thing that comes to mind is there are those who never made it before, or the cooked rice didn’t turn out well, like maybe undercooked or whatever.

I am suggesting cooking directions be placed with the order so one can learn what to expect and how the rice normally looks when done the correct way. Maybe some think wild rice is cooked like regular rice but it isn’t, due to the time-factor and amount of liquid needed.

Otherwise, I still enjoy the exterior of your packing box. Kind of makes me look forward to the ‘goodies’ inside. Pauline : ).
