The Prestone Bug wash is far and away the best on the market. I have used a number of others including the seemingly ubiquitous Rain-X brand which I find terrible. The Prestone Bug Wash leaves the windshield clean and streak free after removing bugs better than any other wash.

Rain-X is awful as it leaves a waxy residue over time that collects on the windshield and the washer lines. The Rain-X brand seems to be more common as of late and that is too bad for consumers, fortunately my local Autozone carries this product and I will be making a trip tomorrow to pickup a few gallons.

The bug remover cleans the bugs easily and rapidly, without removing wax. Prior bug removing chemicals all removed wax from the affected areas. We have two seasons where bugs are prolific, and at times on the commute, so many bugs hit the car that it sounds like rain.

So prior to this product, I had to clean the front of the car and outside mirrors, then rewax everything. Now I just clean and hose off. Saves a lot of time.

I am a real big fan of Griots products. I’d say I have just about every product they make. Unfortunately this product just did not work one bit. It’s love bug season here in Florida right now and our cars are covered in them.

I applied this stuff very liberally, Waited the 30 seconds like recommended, agitated them and wiped, absolutely nothing happened. Tried several times and several different ways, it’s like all I did was spray some water on it.

It just did not work and now I don’t know what to do about these bugs. The waterless car wash actually worked better, but still didn’t get them all off. Being a big fan of griots, I hate to say that I am very disappointed in this product.

I’ve had this in my garage for a few months now, and used it to remove insects off the front of my M Roadster once. Today I took our heavily hit almost brand new Sequoia to the carwash to clean up after vacation.

It was pretty bad with insect goo. When I got to the carwash I used this a little differently than prescribed. I sprayed Bug & Smudge remover on the whole front bumper and grill. I did not agitate it as I wanted to see what it would do on its own first.

I let it sit about 5 min, then hit it with the pressure washer. I was completely blown away as were every last bit of the 1000’s of insects stuck on the front of the truck. I didn’t belive it so I immediately dried it to find a like new bumper, grill and hood.

GREAT PRODUCT!! Saved me several hours of cleaning.

I stopped by the store to have my battery tested when the low wash fluid light came on. Since I had a $10 gift card from a rebate, I grabbed a jug of this stuff, and WOW!!! Before, I was using plain tap water and thought the results were okay and tap water costs nothing.

After refilling with this stuff, the windshield was completely clear after only two passes, and this stuff also includes rainx additives that make any excess fluid bead up and roll off the glass instead of streaking.

This is a huge improvement, considering that my work parking lot is rather dusty. Unless you go through like a gallon every week, this stuff is very inexpensive for the value it offers!.

I drive to a lot of lakes around Texas and bugs seem to be prevalent around these areas. Ive tried several bug removers, soaking my truck with soap and water, and usually have to get one of those horrific scrub pads to remove all the bugs off my trucks bumper,grill, side mirrors.

I bought this stuff with little expectation, aside from Adams reputation to make good stuff. I finally got a chance to use it a month ago, i rinsed the truck off to remove loose bugs and dirt. Sprayed this stuff on and let it soak for a minute, then got my wash pad soaked and started washing.

I was amazed at the lack of effort it took to remove 95% of the bugs. I dont feel i had to scrub any harder than i would normally, when washing my truck. Almost all the bugs were gone, aside from a few bigger ones.

I simply spot treated those and the second time they came off. Such a great product, I’ll be buying more!.

Honestly really disappointed in this, I do enjoy adams products, but this one is just lack luster. Literally had to spray it on 3 times, agitated it with a microfiber towel, a sham, and then a bore hair brush.

Still didn’t get most of the bugs off. Guess I should have lists to the other reviews.

I commute over 60 miles a day and wash my car every weekend. I let this sit on any bugs for like 2 minutes and comes right off. My boyfriend also has a 2019 tacoma he took the black decals off the doors and left a bunch of residue.

We tried goo gone multiple times and nothing, let this sit on the are a few minutes and it came off with very little work to it.

This product could plug the windshield washer system and spray nozzles. The organic compound becomes moldy when stored.

I bought this a year ago and when I went to put some in a car reservoir, saw mold floating in what I had just poured in. I looked at the bottle and then entire inside was now covered in black mold! I don’t know what they are putting in there to cause mildew and mold to grow so well, but I don’t know if I want to risk clogging up my car hoses with it.

Bought this in a pinch after running out of my preferred brand. I mistakenly thought I could incorporate this product into my regular car wash routine, where I use a soapy mitt to follow up and wipe off the bugs.

Big mistake. This stuff has a wax in it that gets slimy and clumpy when mixed with water. Made a mess of the car and my mitt. It’s like TurtleWax is trying to make this a bug remover and spray wax in one but they don’t advertise the wax part on the product.

Compared to other products I’ve used, this doesn’t do a good job removing bugs either. I can’t comment on the shine since I wasn’t looking for a spray wax. I feel TurtleWax missed the point here. This one isn’t for me.

Got stuck on a newly oiled county road. My white Volvo was covered from front to back on both sides, as well as the back of the car, with a fine black mist. It dried by the time I got home. I tried a few cleaners but little Luck.

I had a bottle of Turtle Wax Bug &Tar remover in my garage and sprayed it on a section, and let it sit for a minute. Then I wiped it off and WOW – all the oil came off with minimal effort!!! Took my anxiety down several notches!! I had all oil removed from the entire car within an hour! Also cleaned my aluminum alloy wheels which were also coated with a fine mist of oil.

This product is A MUST HAVE. I use this product along with Turtle Wax Wax and Dry product. Combined together provides a unified cleasing which removes Easily any Tar, Bug, Hardened baked on soil. I was amazed.

Talk about water repellant. Any dew or moisture beads right up and rolls right off. Long lasting too. Many compliments received with shine and outer appearance. Highly recommend.

Went through the car wash several times but noticed that my truck wasn’t clean at the bottom of both sides. I tried to wash it off by hand with car wash soap but none of it came off because it was road tar.

I was worried because my truck has ceramic coating on it and I didn’t want to damage the coating. I reached out to Ceramic Pro to see if road tar was covered by their warranty. It took them a week to tell me that it is not covered.

So I bought this product tried it out on a small section and it worked wonderfully. All the road tar is gone and no damage to the ceramic coating. Most came right off with easy a few spots took a tiny bit of elbow grease.

Extremely happy with this product. Going back to buy more.

I drive 70 miles a day to commute to work all of which are high way miles. I wash my car every week. Needless to say i hit a lot of bugs. Washing thw front bumper has become a chore. I use a power washer rinse, then bug sponge the heck out of it and it takes forever trying to make sure i get all tje big guts off.

Bought this and used it. Literally couldnt tell the difference between this and just using soap. Does not make removing bugs any easier. Im gonna buy something different next week. I used probably a 1/4 of a can and feel like its just wasted material amd money.

Has a nice smell though.

This stuff works awesome for cleaning the front grill part of a vehicle. You know for all those stuck on bugs that are stuck to it. Just use as instructions say to, and if it’s really bad then I have to do it twice sometimes.

WalMart. com is the only place that I can find it anymore so please don’t ever stop carrying it or the front of my ride will never be clean again!.

Motul products are one of the best for motorcycle care anyway, this here was at the best price I could find online.

Quality product that complies with the advertised. It is not the cheapest but it is good for what I recommend!

Seriously when buying and shipping pretty well I will buy again

I first tried a competitive product on what I initially thought was bug blood from a trip, it only removed about 25% of what I tried it on. It turned out that a squirrel had gotten injured and was in the tree above our white vehicle.

There was blood stains that got set for about five days from one end of the vehicle to the other. Bugs-B-Gone removed 95% of the stains on the first try. If the product could be as strong in a foam it would be easier to use, but saturating a cloth and placing on the surface also works for stubborn stains.

This stuff is great and works just like the directions indicate. I’ve used “Bug and Tar Remover” in the past and could not get the bugs off without scratching the paint. If you have stubborn bug splats you want to remove, this stuff will do it!.

Texas to Florida trip in September picked up a lot of bugs on the front side. Been through the car wash a couple of times but the bugs were still there. I’ve tried other bug removal products in the past with fair results.

Sea Foam Bugs-B-Gone took care of removing all the bug marks – 100%! Will now always have it in my arsenal of cleaners!.

Im a fulltime detailer. i deal with tar on vehicles every day. There are numerous products available from which to choose. All are more expensive and none are as fast and effective as Tarminator. it atarts o diddolve the tar instantly.

for thick splatter, pair it with a plastic razor blade and the tar is gone and job finished in no time. Its my go to product and I use it exclusively for tar and sap removal.

This is by far the best bug and tar remover on the market. I’m a mobile detailer and I’ve been detailing cars for the past 12 years. I’ve tried every bug and tar remover on the market and nothing comes close to this product.

Not only do I use it for bugs and car but stickers,emblems, minor blemishes, paint scuffs and more. I keep at least 3 cans on me at all times. Auto glym makes a bug and tall remover. Big company in the detail industry.

It cost 17 bucks and it’s junk!.

I have always been skeptical of products like this, but the need finally arose for a sap/tar remover. I have been happy with other Stoner products so I gave it a shot, and it worked awesome! For tar, it did take a couple applications and some scrubbing, but it softened it up and took it off completely.

I also had pine sap that had been baking onto my paint for years, and within 2 minutes I had it completely removed with this product. It’s worth it!.

Never in my life have I seen a bug cleaner like this. It is worth every dime. Just make sure you follow the direction since if not(letting it remain on surface too long and not rinsing with water) you could have hazing on your window as an example.

This is the best bug product ever. It beats every product I tried on the market. The owners hit GOLD on this one. I can’t tell you after a long trip I don’t have to spend hours cleaning off the bugs.

I put this in my Honda Fit. It was so oily I could barely see through the windshield. I tried to was window at gas station but that didn’t work. Driving in the dark, oncoming lights glared and further blurred vision.

It took my pro window washer son three scrubs to get the windshield clean and I’ll likely need new wiper blades. Going back to oreillys today to see what they say.

An early winter cold snap can be a serious issue if your still using the summer bug washer fluid. Mine froze up into a slushy. And obviously didn’t work to spray the windshield (too cold and slushy/ frozen).

After the daytime temps warmed up, I used up the majority of the summer blend washing the salt off the windshield and then immediately put the below zero washer fluid in. Works very well for salty winter roads.

Look, it’s not too expensive and it work great. What more could you want. Don’t let Jack Frost catch you without windshield wiper fluid!

Not sure if this was its original intention, but I also used your product as a “lubricant” in association with a very recent “clay bar” treatment on my 2019 KIA Stinger. really removed bugs/stuff from a long winter season’s driving and actually removed tiny white paint spots accidentally received when driving by a rig spraying a fresh white line along a highway near our windy Ellensburg, Washington home.

they came off in a snap! the icing on the cake was a fresh new NEXGEN ceramic coating. ALL worth the effort!.

I was really surprised on how easy it is to remove the bugs! I was on a long trip. When we got home the front of our car was full of smashed bugs. As we always do went to the Carwash and ended up getting it done twice.

Went home with bugs still on it. Next couple of days I received the information on your bug removal spray. Ordered a bottle! Used it when I got it. Following the directions I removed all very quickly.

Upon using this product, I was absolutely amazed at how well it worked. I used it on my motorcycle, which always ends up with a lot of splattered bugs on the faring and your product just took the bugs off without having to scrub.

Just spray on and wipe off. That simple. You have a customer for life.

I detail cars. I have customers that have local bugs to cross country bugs on their vehicles. So I had a customer that went on vacation to Arizona from Cali driving. Came back and thr grill was covered with bugs and guts and so were the mirrors.

I sprayed this stuff on and waited a few minutes. Washed the car and my bucket was full of bug pieces. I will def. Buy more. Saved me time scrubbing. Works on bird poop also.

I bought a 32 ounce spray bottle and it really impressed me with how well it worked. I was using MckEES so I bought a gallon of your stuff and it did not work like the first bottle. I am really considering going back to the McKees.

Solid brand. Product works.

First, I’m an Autoglym fan and like some of their products like the Interior Shampoo and the Vinyl & Rubber Care, so I was eager to try this Insect Remover. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing.

After an 8-hour (total) highway trip which resulted in LOTS of bug splatters on the grill of my car, I took a scientific approach to cleaning it, and divided the grill in half: I used this Autoglym Insect Remover on the left, and an Aero Cosmetics waterless wash available through a large online-only retailer on the right.

The car was in the garage and cool to the touch. I thoroughly soaked each section with its respective product, let it sit for 5 minutes, re-applied the product (so the microfibre towel would have some lubrication), then made a single-pass wipe over the section using light-to-medium pressure (because I didn’t want to scratch the surface with any bug carcasses).

Winner: the Aero Cosmetics waterless wash. Bottle sprays in light enough mist that it stays in place. Virtually dissolved all the bug residue. Removed the most bug residue after the single wipe, and the spray provided enough lubrication that the paint was not scratched.

I was frankly amazed. Distant Second: Autoglym Insect Remover. A big issue is the fact that nozzle dispenses the product in a semi-foamy state, but the foam is not dense enough to stay in place, so the foam just dissipates and it all ends up just running down the car, so not alot of product remains on the car to actually breakdown the bug residue.

It was about 50% less effective than the Aero wash – lots of residue left after the single wipe, meaning more Insect Remover and elbow grease required. But, be aware that the Insect Remover also recommends being followed-up with a wash after application! So, for a complete job, the Insect Remover would require: application, elbow grease, wipe off, re-application, elbow grease, wipe off, and then wash (3 steps total), whereas with the Aero wash, since it’s a waterless wash to begin with, the same results are achieved in only one step.

Who has the time (and energy) for the Insect Remover approach? That’s why I can’t give it a higher rating than I did.

This is my first time buying & using this type of product & so it’s difficult for me to compare it with those from other companies, but I’d say that it worked quite well. It wasn’t unbelievably great, but wasn’t useless either, it worked with a little rubbing & reapplying.

My biggest complaint was that the similar product from another company that was advertised to be on sale by CT wasn’t in stock!.

Usual great spray bottle etc from autoglym, I just don’t see why they have to make every product even when it doesn’t do the job. Gave a heavy coating all over the front of my car as it was plastered with bugs, Says leave for 30 seconds, I gave it a good few minutes, then it says rinse or wipe, I had the bug sponge and still had to scrub at them to remove them.

Waste of 8 quid and won’t waste it again. Autoglym do some decent stuff but this isn’t any of that. Hopefully reviewing it will help someone see and improve the formula.
