There are a few different ways that people like to enjoy crab with wine. Some people prefer to pair white wine with crab, as the acidity in the wine helps to bring out the sweetness of the crab meat.
Others prefer to pair red wine with crab, as the tannins in the wine help to cut through the richness of the crab meat. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference.

Reviews From Real Customers
Had this at a 4th of July dinner. The hosts told me how wonderful it was but really, its nothing. Pick something from alto adige, to get something with more flavor and acidity.
We found this wine while on vacation a month ago. I searched for it online to buy in bulk and this was the best price by far. I ordered on 8/27 and received on 9/11 = worth the wait!
Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio 3pk – Our Ecco Domani delle Venezie IGT Italian Pinot Grigio Wine is pale straw in hue and has delicate floral aromas with a hint of citrus. On the palate, the wine offers tropical fruit flavors and a crisp, refreshing finish.
I was intrigued by the Jeremy Scott label but this wine is pretty bad. I can easily feel I’m drinking something of cheap quality because my face turns red after a couple of drinks…but after the first glass I was already feeling my cheeks getting red.
Not understanding why Jeremy Scott would partner with such a 👎🏼 brand!.

A grapefruit aroma cuts into ripe peach and smoke tones on the nose of this bottling. The palate offers lemon, peach and toasty oak, proving rich and expressive.
Let me start by saying I am not a white wine drinker. I was at Total Wine & More and one of their sales people saw the white I had in my cart. He encouraged me to try the Muirwood (more expensive then what I had).
I debated because I knew what I had everyone liked. He assured me it would be a huge success. It was not. I was told this wine leaves a bad aftertaste. I am ‘stuck’ with one remaining bottle that I guess I will use as a cooking wine.
Picked up some Muirwood Chardonnay Arroyo Seco over Thanksgiving to bring to a large gathering. Was looking for a “value” Chardonnay. What we got was something way better. Nicely balanced and not over oaked.
Drinks like twice its price. I now buy this by the case and is my new house Chardonnay. Highly Recommended!.
At $14. 99, this is a fantastic value Chardonnay from Arroyo Seco, which to me rivals much of Sonoma, and some Napa Chards. When it is on sale at Total Wine, I can’t get enough of it. This is not just “Tuesday wine”.
This is a wine I wouldn’t hesitate to serve my best friends on the weekend. Maintains a nice muted balance of oak, and fruit forward citrus and tropical flavors. Do yourself a favor, and give this one a try.
Alc. 13.0% by Vol. The nose is lush with pear and tangerine while the palate offers light citrus flavors and crisp acidity. Vinted & bottled by SeaGlass Wine Company Napa, CA 94589.
Tiefenbrunner Chardonnay Alto Adige 2020 Pale lemon in color, this wine has aromas of citrus fruits and fresh pears, which give way to subtle herbal and almond notes. On the palate, this youthful wine is pure and clean with crisp acidity and a lingering finish.
Fresh citrus flavors and bright acidity make this wine a refreshing counterpoint to creamy risotto or rich, buttery sablefish.

I usually don’t drink white wine. But the Acacia Carneros Chardonnay is pretty solid. I sold this wine for years and it was definitely one of my go to when my account was looking for a chardonnay that pleased the food/wine pairing consumer.
California- Soft, silky fruit notes and medium tannins blend together, creating a flavor of dark cherry and light overtones of cassis and pepper. A pleasing, approachable wine on its own, this bottle will enhance any meal.
Since retiring I am looking for value and taste. Pacific Peak has been a pleasant surprise with both their Merlot and Cabernet. They have full flavors, freshness from a box, and value for the volume purchased.
I’ve had some really good cheap wines before. However I’m general you get what you pay for. This box of wine is consistent with the price they’re asking. It lacks flavor with a somewhat sour aftertaste.
Have purchased many differently priced merlots, cabs, zins, malbecs, red blends, and dark red blends over the years, but there’s been only one constant – Pacific Peak Merlot in a box. It’s a smooth everyday drinking wine that’s perfect to have on hand for parties and unexpected guests.
Make sure all try a glass before you let them know it’s a cheap boxed wine so snobbery doesn’t bias their taste buds. Have surprised and converted many a wine snob. Might be why there seems to be a limited supply when I try to stock up myself.
This wine is from Italy, Tuscany region, Toscano sub-region. Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay are nurtured to perfection in select hillside vineyards of the Banfi estate in Montalcino, Tuscany. The grapes are gently pressed, followed by vinification in bianco, or off the skins at low temperatures in stainless steel resulting in a delightfully harmonious wine.
Le Rime, pale straw in color, is an aromatic, fruity white wine with a crisp finish replete with refreshing acidity.
Color is straw yellow. On the nose, it’s very fruity with intense aromas of pear, apple and lime. Extremely soft on the palate, yet lively and vibrant with an acidity that gives a remarkable persistence.

Conclusion
There are many different ways to enjoy crab, but one of the best is with a nice glass of wine. Crab pairs well with white wine, but you can also enjoy it with a light red. The important thing is to find a wine that will not overpower the delicate flavor of the crab.
Some of our favorite wines to pair with crab include:
Chardonnay: A classic white wine that is dry and has a subtle oak flavor.
Sauvignon Blanc: A bright and citrusy white wine that is perfect for summer.
Pinot Noir: A light red wine with fruity and earthy flavors.
Rosé: A versatile wine that can be enjoyed with a variety of different foods.
No matter what wine you choose, make sure to enjoy it with some good company. Crab is best when it’s shared, so gather up your friends and family and have a feast!
