20 Best Wine For Passover (2022 Updated)

I bought this Pinot based upon the reviews and the winery’s reputation. I was extremely disappointed. I find it far to tannic and quite bland. It is flavorless and underwhelming. Absolutely nothing about it stands out.

I drink Pinots in this price range often, so I know there are far better representations out there for the same price or less. Not an easy drinking wine, too sharp edged.

I was introduced tobthis wine at Conner’s Steakhouse about 2 years ago- a 2018 from the Sonoma Coast. Now I can only get a case in 2019, but still very smooth. Will continue to buy despite an increase from $14.

97 to $17. 94. Still an excellent value and a great Pinot Noir.

I had not ventured into the Pinot world so decided to expand by wine horizon and try a Pinot. The first few sips weren’t that enjoyable but then I started to like it. It was good but not great. Not sure if I will be trying any more Pinots or not.

Probably will stick to the reds that enjoy more.

The bottle definitely caught my eye at first glance. I’m a fan of all black everything, especially if it’s nice and matte. I thought this looks so elegant and expensive! I was quite happy with this and definitely would purchase this as a gift or bring this to a party.

The cava itself was good. It wasn’t too strong in flavor and didn’t have any aftertaste. It left me wanting more and I could for sure imagine myself enjoying this on any day of the year! It’s definitely a casual drink, which isn’t too strong yet does give you a nice buzz if you’re looking for it.

I would say it did have a slight sweetness but wasn’t from pure sugar, rather it was a bit fruity (but not like a mixed cocktail or anything). It was just right in the middle of dry and sweet, which I tend to like as I feel it’s easy to drink.

Also, I feel like that usually is good to bring to a party as it would satisfy most people’s palette. The carbonation wasn’t so extreme, it didn’t hurt my tongue and wasn’t harsh. I would recommend this and would love to have this at any occasion of mine.

It looks so elegant and interesting, and the most important part is that is was tasty. I didn’t give it a 5 as I felt like I have had better, but at the same time, I felt the price point of the product definitely was fair for the quality.

It doesn’t break the bank but still looks like it was pricey!.

I got this bottle of Freixenet Cordon Brut for free. I thought the bottle design was very sophisticated and sleek looking with an interesting black packaging. The bottle would make a nice addtion to any party or well stocked bar.

The wine is from Spain- so you will get a Crisp, clean and well-balanced sip with your pour. Cordon Brut is amedium-bodied wine and some would say that it has notes of: apple, pear, citrus flavors that will remind your mouth of a fall harvest of fruit.

It is a pretty long finish that ends with a hint of of ginger that leaves your tongue dancing from the spice. This wine would go great for any dinner party with coworkers and would pair well with a chicken or fish dish.

I had seen this bottle many times but passed by for the more recognizable brands in the Sparkling / Champagne category. The label didn’t draw me in from a design perspective and the name is tricky to pronounce, but it is notably distinct with its black and hint of gold color scheme.

What a pleasant surprise when I did try it out. It doesn’t break the bank from a price point perspective but definitely hits on the right notes when it comes to taste and flavor. Subtle hints of brioche mixed with a hit of nectarine, not too sweet and not too bubbly makes for an excellent toast to cheers to an anniversary birthday (or perhaps just after great day).

I should mention I was reimbursed for my participation in reviewing this bottle, however all of my feedback is honest and true. .

We were sent this as a substitute for the original Apothic and are so glad. Apothic has always been one of our favourites and this has joined the party. I can’t honesty remember the tastes other than it was similar to the normal Apothic but even smoother and slightly thicker.

I’m keen to mention vanilla and liquorice but that might have been a different wine! Well done asda. Keep this one stocked up.

Usually drink a Merlot but tried the Apothic Cabernet as part of a promotion. This wine was lovely and smooth with a rich berry (raspberry?) taste and vanilla overtones. I would recommend but is above my usual price range for everyday drinking.

Enjoy and you will not be disappointed.

I would normally go for a wine from an independent producer but this Cabernet Sauvignon from Apothic Red is a pleasant, smooth, jammy red wine. With sweet berry flavours and an aroma of Madagascan vanilla, it is an all-round decent wine to have while chilling out in the evening.

This product was purchased as part of a promotion.

But that doesn’t mean it’s not a 5 star product! Manischewitz. if you grew up Jewish—and maybe even if you didn’t—you’ve tried this wine. If you grew up with welch’s grape juice boxes, you’ve also tried this wine! It tastes exactly like welch’s with alcohol, because it’s made from the very same concord grapes! It is sweet as a port, but without the fortification.

A friend of mine who’s been going to weekly jewish services thought I was joking about it containing alcohol, no lie. Great for shabbat, great for cooking, and great for that one friend who won’t touch anything unless it’s sweet as honey.

but for being so great, it’s not very good.

I always appreciate the speedy shipping and delivery during daylight hours. I only wish Total Wine would have alerted me to the reduction of quantity (out of stock for Elderberry) i would have substituted with another flavor.

Next time. Over-all, i am always happy with Total Wine service.

It’s a great sweet wine with a pleasant smooth aftertaste. A fruity wine with plenty of grape flavor. Slow slips are the way to go to savor the flavor of this wine. After 2 glasses, I was done haha. I enjoyed it and would purchase it again.

It was only $8. 99 at my local wine spirits store.

Love love this wine. One of the first brand of red wine I was introduced to. I love the sweet aroma taste as it hits my taste buds. I definitely recommend.

A bar staple and early drinker fond memory. If you love a sweet wine that doesn’t leave a bad aftertaste, this is for you. Pairs well with most meals. Very affordable too.

Not a connoisseur by any means, but this was so good!! It was under $20, so super affordable, and I could have downed the bottle myself, had I not been sharing with my sister! 😁. Mix between a standard wine and a wine cooler.

Not too expensive and its at almost every kroger and walmart I’ve been too.

Believe me when I say it works. Blackberries have been shown to have medicinal properties for the colon. And trust me, it really works. If I have an upset stomach, I get a glass of this, and within minutes I feel my stomach relaxing.

No other wine works this fast in my experience. May not be my goto for wine drinking, but for stomach pain, I always keep this stocked.

This is absolutely the best for Passover. It is even tasty through the rest of the year. Once we stumbled on the blackberry, we never went back to the grape flavor.

Love this wine. Just wish it could be shipped to my home. I have to drive over an hour to the closest place to pick up this wine.

This wine tasted more like prunes than cherry to me. It has a strong prune (or I guess over-ripe cherry) taste with a lot of sweetness that somewhat masked the bitter, strong, cheap alcohol lingering behind it.

Of course it tasted very cheap, which pricewise it is. I will say though that once I got past the initial cloying taste of “cherry” and past the strong bitter alcohol, I just kept sipping it. It can be a little addictive.

I guess that’s why it’s known for promoting hangovers the next day. In summary, I know it’s a Jewish wine and an important Jewish family tradition, which is usually served at a seder. But to those who are not used to things like this and are looking for a “cherry” alcoholic beverage, you might not realize that it’s basically a really sickeningly sweet juice with strong, cheap alcohol in the background.

Many people probably enjoy it more out of nostalgia than out of actually liking it that much. I could be wrong, though.

I am so glad that I found this somewhere I could purchase. I don’t drink often, but when I do, I would like to drink this, sweet cherry wine. It is so difficult to find cherry wine, and even harder to find sweet cherry wine.

Our local grocery store has a winery and i found Grape Manischewitz wine there, but not the cherry. I was given a site to search for the nearest location I could find this wine, and I’d have to drive to Philadelphia.

For some reason, unknown to me, even though the online tool is supposed to allow you to have it delivered to your local store if you find it in a store in the state, the online tools displays a message about being unable to transport to to my local store.

Shipping costs a bundle, but it is worth it every once in a while.

I have bought this on several occasions. Initial flavor was great because I did not know what to expect. After taste is real good. Does not leave that old grape taste like some do. Not as sweet as Concord grape or Blackberry.

My mother introduced us to this wine when I was a child. It will be at home for special occasions which was very rare but I never forgot the taste. It will aways be one of my favorites. It is almost as drinking grape juice but with alcohol.

TRADITION! That is what I have to say. It was the first wine I ever tasted as a kid and still buy it today for Passover. It brings back memories not because it is good wine but because it is TRADITION.

Manischewitz is the kind of wine you drink when you don’t like the taste of alcohol but want to get a buzz. This wine is very sweet and tastes straight up like grape juice. It’s very delicious. It can be drank on its own or used as a mixer.

It’s definitely not one of those wines you buy when you want to drink an entire bottle of wine. A glass or two, sure but the whole bottle will probably make you sick to your stomach.

Love, love if you are a connoisseur of wines you might not like this. I love this wine because it’s just a tiny bit dry but plenty of sweetness. The perfect combination for my palate

I was shopping in a mini mall near my house in Westchester and stopped into a liquor store which was not large, but the layout was well done and inviting. This wine was a wonderful find! The way it finishes, reminds me of a fine cognac- so mellow and warm- like an embrace almost.

And the price of this wine is what I would easily treat myself to by getting one exquisite chocolate bar from Switzerland from a shop at Rockefeller Center. There is literally joy all around us, it is always in those small moments.

I absolutely love this wine! It’s arguable my favorite red…You can’t find kosher wines at many places so when I saw it here I was very excited. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

In the beginning i was not a fan of this wine at all. However once it was chilled to 60-65 degrees and being patient with it in the glass it really opened up and got much better. (Putting the bottle in the fridge then pouring a glass and waiting for it to get to a warmer temperature can easily accomplish both at the same time.

) There is a lot of concentrated dark fruits: dark cherries and black barries with a hint of fresh violets. The taste is not complex but does not betray its aromas as it delivers a strong punch of bursting dark fruit flavors.

Very delicious and quaffable wine. I would strongly recommend it as a standard table wine at home or a wine to bring over to a party. Although the wine is quite cheap, bringing it to optimal red wine temperature condition and aerating it a bit will bring noticeable improvement.

Taste: 60/100 (3 stars) Value: 90/100 (5 stars).

It is a full-bodied wine, with richness and roundness, with a very persistent saline finish. A trip worth the diversions!

The simple way to describe this wine is consistent. Good bang for your buck. Good flavor. But not the “best” wine out there. Perfect wine for your Friday night relaxation or even with a steak dinner.

You can’t go wrong and will be glad you purchased.

I was pleasantly surprised by this wine since it is on the cheaper side (under $20). I bought this wine for Passover since it is kosher. I am slowly getting into red wine and find this one to be full bodied with some notes of fruit.

This wine pairs nicely with brisket!.

The wine is a favorite amongst my red wine drinking friends. It’s a little too dry for me but I’m happy to pour myself a glass of it when it’s available.

I have had Rashi Light Pink Concord in the past and it was nice. This year it was so poor that we just poured it down the drain.

I Love Rombauer . They did not have the Chardonnay so I thought I would try the Sauvignon Blanc and loved it. Love the delivery service. They are always so kind .

Bright, fresh, crisp, great acidity. A little more tropical fruit than citrus, great balance. I was prepared not to like this as much as my ‘go to’ Sauvignon blanc, Cloudy Bay, but this is right up there with it, and is at the same price point.

As the summer season approaches, I will have this again.

This wine was awful – we couldn’t drink it and dumped it out. Very unfortunate as I had been excited to try it. The nose was like rotten eggs – very sulfuric.

Lovely wine! Great cold or room temperature. Very easy on the pallet. Perfect amount of sweetness which I love. It’s not overbearing in the sweet department. Great with beef, chicken, fish or pasta. Affordable price.

I found this wine very good, but a bit sweet for what I expect from a Claret. It does go well with spicy food (we had with Mexican food), and it is great for after-dinner. Does pair excellently with Chocolates.

Would buy again, but for a dessert wine.

The wine was sweeter than I expected. I was also expecting it to be drier. However, it was still tasty with our cheese & vegetable platter.

Went there yesterday hoping for a wonderful experience since we’ve done this a few times and decided to bring my daughter for her 23rd bday. Staff was not friendly at all! We were pointed in direction of a picnic table.

Then the gentlemen said we needed to go up each time to get the next glass of the flight. I was hoping for the experience we have at all the other wineries. Everywhere else poured a glass and explained each of their wines.

At Raumbauer you had to go up to the counter and tell them which glass you were on. Not a good experience and definitely wasn’t like we’ve experienced with them before. Not going back there!.

I had to try it, being so highly acclaimed. Honey and spice greeted my nose, followed by a plume of tart berries and silky plum, and. well, a light burst of black pepper with tannins later, and the show is surprisingly over! Does that mean there’s something wrong with Rombauer? Absolutely not.

It delivers what a ZInfandel is meant to on all fronts. I do however expect more than a berry bloom, with a tannins burst that fades to obscurity so quickly from a 90 point Zin. Is there something wrong with you for liking this? Heavens no! Enjoy away.

I do find it however lacking for the rating and price point. You’d be much better off with an equally prized and priced Pinot given what this wine is offering on taste and pairing potential.

Fantastic is the word that comes to mind! I was drinking Cabernet excessively before trying this wonderful red Zinfandel. This is bold, smooth, balanced, soft not acidic. Vanilla, slight oak, cherry, blackberry.

Fruit forward with just a slightly sweet abrupt finish. Tastes best at 60° – 65°. I went back for more after only a couple of days, someone had bought all of the Rombauer Zinfandel. I should stay quiet about this! It’s just too good not to talk about!.
