20 Best Wine For Scallops (2022 Updated)

I give this five stars because it is a good white wine for the price, reliable, and it’s easy to find for those reasons. There is nothing significant about this Chardonnay that stands out to me. But it paid well with orange juice in place of champagne, for a nicely rounded mimosa.

We have sommeliers in the family, and surprisingly they were the ones who introduced me to the idea. Champagne can cause a lot of people headaches/migraines, and is also obviously carbonated. Mixing this wine (great price) with some orange juice, papaya juice, or my personal favorite- the Orange Peach Mango Juice from Trader Joe’s.

We have it on Christmas, and since there’s no carbonation, we can eat a lot more yummy food! I recommend this wine and give it five stars for that reason.

Basic, simple Riesling. Slight hint of citrus, a touch of minerality, tiny bit of sweetness, not overly dry. For the price, it’s comparable to other mass produced Rieslings. I think it’s better than the “two buck chuck” wine options, but if you’re looking for a authentic Riesling, you’d be better off going with a German wine along the same price point.

Chateau Ste Michelle has been on our “bucket list” of trips for 20 years. We had their Chardonnay on our first date and it is a wine that has special meaning for us. Whenever we go out for dinner we always look for Chateau Ste Michelle wines.

The winery and tours exceeded our expectations. We went on three tours and each were very different and each were great experiences – Sensory Sojourn, Private Salon Tasting and Celebrate Sparkling. If you are lucky to have Julio, Claire or Laura Lee as your guides/educators you won’t be disappointed, in fact they are each pretty amazing.

They were extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and you could tell really enjoyed what they were doing. They made wine accessible not pretentious. Would definitely go back again! We also became wine club members.

This, for me, brings back so many happy Christmas memories. My parents always bought a bottle of this mid-December. A wee glass was always offered to visitors to warm them up upon arriving. I always loved the deep, rich smell of the sherry.

Mmm mmm so good. Now as an adult, I can fully appreciate the taste. I highly recommend this sherry. Try it, you won’t regret it.

what can i say i am 51 years of age and have not had a drink in 30 years, and since found out having changed my diet for a healthier and prolonged life have discovered some things are actualy good for my body.

in certain amounts. and i must say as soon as this hit my taste buds IT WAS HEAVEN. now i hate the taste of alcohol in any form be it spirits or beers even the smell gives me the shudders, but the the flavour of this is truely amazing.

im more worried that i will actualy drink more than i wish too. all i can say is if you like things like this you will be very pleasently supprised, to say i have not had a drink in such a long time i sound like a alcoholic lol.

im just gob smacked with the flavour more than the fact its alcohol and if thats what you are looking for rather than its alcohol then treat your taste buds. i have about small shot glass size a day if you add things with your drinks i would say dont do it enjoy the flavour.

ok enough waffling RECOMMENDED RECOMMENDED FLAVOUR WISE FOR SURE. if you could get this flavour in a none alcoholic drink would be sublime to me.

I ordered 2 bottles of Harveys Bristol Cream as per your photograph being the original Harveys Bristol Cream sherry which I love and have drunk for some 40 plus years. What I was sent was 2 bottles of Harveys Solero Sherry.

This is contrary to the photograph on your website. I especially ordered the old style sherry because I DO NOT LIKE Harveys Solero Sherry. It lacks the body and smoothness and taste of the original sherry.

So now I am left with 2 bottles of sherry that I do not like and will not drink. I am more than disappointed. I especially ordered this on line as your photograph was of the original sherry which now cannot be bought in the High Street.

Purchase this one May 14th and boy I can tell you the only thing buttery is the color. I have purchased a couple of bottles of wine based on the reviews and I am beginning to believe one cannot trust the reviews on this site.

Total wine has an area designated for this wine as if it’s something special. But basically, it is used to give the illusion to people like me who are suckered by deceptive reviews and displays to purchase a crap wine that’s not selling.

Let’s begin: The wine has no nose meaning no bouquet or fragrance at all. It has a Citrus pith taste giving you that cheap Rhine wine mouth finish. It certainly didn’t pair well with my braised chicken dinner.

A total waste of my coin and I definitely don’t recommend it. Save your coins as this is a total waste of drinking indulgence. More importantly Total Wine is trying to get rid of swill.

I’ve bought many bottles of this Buttercream Chard. Its buttery, creamy, full bodied, & not too oaky. And Ive found that the screw cap is soooo much more convenient. Once opened it will fit on the top shelf in my fridge, which is a + since I’ve had the door shelf actually fall out & break bottles of wine.

New fridges are pieces of junk. Until I tried “Beyers Ranch” Chard, this Buttercream was my favorite, & I still buy it & keep in on hand to have some variety. The Beyers Ranch is lighter bodied and is now my favorite.

Both are very drinkable!.

I had been wanting to try this one out for awhile but was skeptical because there was always so much stock of it. But all of the good reviews made me finally try it. I was disappointed. I love buttery and oaky chards and this was NEITHER one.

It was flat. It barely had any flavor for my palette. I’m not understanding all of the good reviews. Lloyd and Muirwood are great representations of buttery.

Excellent example of a really good verdejo. It retains a clean taste without sacrificing a smooth ful bodied finish. Great by itself or with seafood or fish.

Love this wine and great QPR.

Every week I give myself a treat of some sort sometimes it’s a new coffee blend for my Keurig or a trip to the take out sushi bar on friday afternoons before heading home. Recently I have been on a fabulous trip to my local target to pick myself up those little 4 pack bottle of Sutter home wines.

I enjoy them because I do not have to challenge myself to end up drinking the whole bottle in a couple of days. Yes I know there is such things as wine bottle air stoppers to keep the wine fresh and I do have several of those in my bar.

However, in my case I can purchase two different types of Moscato and try them out when ever I’d like or one little bottle at a time. I usually have a girlfriend over and she can have the choice to have a individual choice of her own little bottle which is just perfect for one person with two servings.

It’s the right price, the perfect serving ammount and it allows me to become an even better hostess to my girlfriends when we have our little get togethers. Sutter home has always been my go to house wine and my can’t go wrong wine as far as pairing with deserts and main courses during any quick last minute get together a real no brainer for a quick last minute stop.

Left off a star because this wine should not be competing with more costly “better” wines. This is a low-priced table wine, and I like it better than the others, even for happy hour — probably because of the reason that some people prefer the others: this wine (Sorry, I don’t speak Wine) has a bit of an edge to it.

It’s a sharper taste, and I like that. Especially in warm weather. If the star rating pertained only to table wines, I’d give this one five.

This wine was okay. I can’t really taste the difference much between and the. Although, this specific Yellow Tail Wine tends to be very bitter tasting to me. I don’t really like my white wine to taste this bitter, especially when pairing it with food! The price is right, but the taste just isn’t ideal if your looking to pair it with really any kind of cheese.

Or any kind of food really. It’s a No for me!.

Dependably exactly as on the label, “soft velvety, with notes of cherries, red berries, and a hint of sweet spice” Any pinot noir leans towards excellence with cuisine grilled/sautéed and served on a paper plate, peppers/onions, burgers, mushrooms, smoked bacon, steak, BBQ chicken, sausage, pork, ragin’ cajun spice, etc.

This cheap yellow tail rocks that smoke and fire party until cops knock. twice. Rich yet subtle spice notes and a velvety berry top over all that sauce and salt/pepper, refines it. Like some slightly decadent sophisticated sangria genie in a bottle.

Love this wine, love the price/quality ratio too.

My family and I used to enjoy Little Penguin cab a lot. When they went to a screw top bottle the wine also changed. It is sweeter, lighter and is not the same wine. We did a taste test since I still had some of the bottles with a cork.

The bottle with the cork was a 2016. The new screw top was labeled 2016 also. Everyone agreed that the two were not even close. I don’t know what this winery is trying to pull but they have lost us as a customer.

I’ve been drinking this wine since someone recommended it to me 10 years ago. The whole Little Penguin line is absolutely great. The Merlot, Cabernet and Chardonnay are my favorites. Both Cabernet and Merlot are very bold and mellow at the same time and not too dry as reds tend to be.

The Chardonnay has this great crisp feel and no acidic tone. I should buy stock in the company cause I tend to stock up on this stuff whenever it’s on sale. At these prices, everyone should give it a try.

It’s a delightful surprise.

I love wine and have been drinking it for a long time. I’ve drank all kinds of wines at all price points. I have also worked for 8 years in the wine & spirits industry. I would like to say I have good taste and above average knowlege of wine.

I love this wine b/c for the price you really cannot beat it. It’s got a lot of body and a nice fruity finish. Compared to it’s competitors (Barefoot & Yellow Tail) it is by far the better choice and cheaper.

I would reccomend this wine to anyone and it is my definite go to table wine. Enjoy!!.

Cabernet is my favorite type of wine, so i find myself trying different brands mostly for their cabernets. The Little Penguin’s cabernet is not that bad. It’s cheap, but does not seem to be easily accessible at liquor stores.

It’s a very heavy wine, but does make you very sleepy in comparison to other red wines.

One of your associates was kind enough to retrieve a case of Chloe from the top shelf and take to car for me. It was the last full case, so it is time to reorder. I love this Sonoma County chardonnay.

smooth and just the right mix of citrus, vanilla and other flavors. This is not a heavy chard. perfect for the spring and summer. Total Wine’s price is most competitive for our area. I am taking a case to beach next week!.

A real favorite of ours. ripe flavors of fresh citrus, apple and pear with notes of creamy butter followed by soft hints of vanilla and toasted, a creamy mid-palate and silky finish.

I tend to place wines by their price and this chardonnay is one of the vest dollar values I’ve found. Smooth, flavorful. It has become my favorite chardonnay under $10.
