20 Best Wines For Weddings (2022 Updated)

I was searching for highly reviewed wine, and recalling the store clerk’s recommendation for Cupcake Prosecco, the week before(which we didn’t purchase), we figured we’d give it a try. After all, it had over 4K positive reviews, at 4.

5 stars. Fortunately, my guy thought ahead, and purchased two other label PGs. At first drink, I choked, and my guy was highly entertained by my facial expressions of disgust as I coughed between “oh my god” statements.

Being the trooper that I am, I insisted on giving it another taste. I did not hesitate when my guy, between laughs, suggested tossing out what was left in my wine glass, and in the bottle, down the sink.

I have absolutely no idea who, or why, would give Cupcake Pinot Grigio the positive and high star reviews. This PG is definitely a 5 star if provided in a brown paper bag, which it should be. Bleh.

I thought I’d venture out of my comfort zone a bit and try a Pinot Grigio. Cupcake is a known brand, so I gave it a whirl. The nose is as described, I found it a bit heavy on the alcohol, but was still able to enjoy it with alone at a slow pace; and with the addition of sparkling tangerine water.

It’s a full-bodied wine, not awful, just not for me.

I love love LOVE this wine! It really hits the spot on a Friday night after a loooong week at work. I recommend it to all of my friends and family. I always keep this wine replenished in my fridge!

The perfect type of wine for camping turns out to be the perfect wine for everyday at home, as well. I bought a box to try out for a camping trip. So much easier than bottled wine, doesn’t break like a glass bottle, doesn’t require a special device to open it, won’t leak if it gets knocked over on its side, you could balance the lawn with a box of it on the floor tipped back so the spouts up in the air.

No muss, no fuss. So we decided to try a box and spent the trip enjoying the stuff and buying more of it at supermarkets along our camping route. When we got home we ensconced it on our fancy wine bar and that’s mostly what we drink right now.

It’s good wine! Medium body, not sweet, not dry, very flavorful. And my go-to everyday wine. My husband still likes some of his fancier bottles for special occasions, but I’m happy with this for every occasion.

I was a wine connoisseur once. I thought that the most expensive wines were the best, but Black Box Cabernet changed all of that. It is a delicious Cabernet with a wonderful taste on the palate. On average, one box is equal to about four standard bottles of wine.

Tastes very good. It definitely evolves if you let it breathe. I’m no wine snob, but I’ve had my fair share of different wines. Very dry, but eases up after breathing for 15-20 minutes. It’s better than many bottled wines I’ve had and at a great price-point.

My advice is to keep it in the fridge and let it breathe for 10-15 minutes before fully enjoying. My main gripe is that it’s hard to tell how much is left. I was initially under the impression it came in 4 750ml bags, but it’s one big 3L bag.

I was under the impression I’ve poured about half of it, but when I opened the box to look in the bag I really couldn’t tell. Some markings on the bag would go a long way. It also starts to pour slowly around the halfway mark, but I fixed that by adjusting the bag.

Currently have about a liter left to enjoy it seems, but I’ll definitely buy this again. The biggest advantages I would say is it’s good tasting and a great value. The biggest disadvantage is that it has no markings on it whatsoever seemingly and it can be slow to pour around halfway.

It’s deceptively strong too, 14% abv is nothing to sneeze at.

It’s an amazing product. The texture, the taste it’s just PERFECT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND to try it out! No regrets, it’s affordable for any occasion. Will definitely buy again. Strongly recommend

This is my favorite wine. The price is great. The flavor is great. I have been drinking this for years and drank it all through college. It lasts 30 days in the box without losing it’s flavor. After about 30 days it starts getting a vinegar flavor and I throw it away.

I highly recommend Franzia. I keep my box wine at room temperature or in my wine fridge.

Great bang for your buck. Obviously it is not in a higher price range moscato but for the price, you just cannot go wrong. Honestly, taste quite similar to some of the pricier brands of moscato I have tried save for a slight aftertaste.

The alcohol percentage, price point, and drink ability makes this my go to for budget wines. This is a great brand that unfortunately I only recently discovered after moving to the mainland. They did not gave this in Hawaii and just as well as something tells me the price would have somehow matched everything else, expensive! Lol.

This is probably the best cheap wine I have ever tasted. I got it for $2 at walmart and I was intrigued at the price and saw other reviews that it taste very good, so I had to give it a try. For the price, this wine is absolutely amazing.

Taste very sweet and fruity and has quite a large alcohol percentage, which no one can really complain about. Worth the try and price!.

I went to Wal-Mart today just to get a few household items and stumbled across this great wine. I was a little shocked when I saw that it was only 2. 96 at Wal-Mart but when it’s chilled?? OH MY GOODNESS.

Did a really nice job of getting me drunk without having to resort to Franzia. It’s table wine. Nothing to fuss over. Pour it into any available beverage holder and drink up, buttercup. Cut it with water if you don’t like the taste.

You know you’ll finish the box regardless.

This is my go to wine for every occasion! It’s very easy to drink, medium bodied, and smooth. I love getting the box because I don’t feel the pressure to get through an entire bottle in one night plus it’s so wonderful for parties! I’ve tried other boxed wines and they just don’t compare.

It’s a decent wine for being so cheap. It’s not my favorite by this brand, but its fine. A nice raspberry and cherry flavor. It’s bold and rich, which I like. Sweet but also a bit dry. A nice balance.

It’s about $6/1. 5 L. I would recommend.

Not a fan. Have tried other Oak Leaf varieties that dont taste cheap despite the inexpensive price that this brand offers but this is not one. Perhaps a bad batch or just my opinion in taste, but was more of a vinegar aftertaste than that of red wine.

If youre looking to grab a bottle, highly suggest Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, or Cabernet by them.

I love this wine. I don’t really know the difference between a cheap wine and an expensive wine but this one, although cheap taste so good to me. I love sipping on a glass in the evenings when I’m winding down for the night.

Nice light refreshing wine. No bitter or harsh aftertaste. Goes down smoothly. Lovely with cheese and crackers. Nice for a girls night in or with fish or chicken for dinner. I always buy this product for myself and as a gift for friends, for birthdays or to take to their house for game night.

Bright fresh and crisp. This is so easy to drink chilled fresh from the wine fridge or with some frozen grapes. It’s a versatile drop with plenty of flavour but refined enough to enjoy with most things.

I love having a glass of this in summer or spring with some prawns or chicken and potatoes! So yummy!.

Overall Bin90 fruity Moscato is my favorite wine. I purchase about once a week from my local HEB. I even have my friends hooked and a few of followers on Snapchat went to purchase because I posted about it so much.

The flavor is sweet fruity which I love about it. I’m not a fan of bitter wine. I adore the labeling of the bottle as well, my favorite color is purple. Nice gift to give or even to a girls night. I even paired with fruit (raspberries/ strawberries).

This is my favorite wine to drink when I’m in the mood for a sweeter white wine. I like this one because it’s not too sweet like a lot of other moscato wines. It’s one of those wines that taste great cold but still tastes good room temperature.

I like to add strawberries to the bottom of my glass for a little extra boost!.

Have you ever had wine that tasted so unbelievably bad you couldn’t drink it? This was definitely one of those wines. This wine has crossed the line toward vinegar. We both had one sip and poured it out.

This White Chardonnay is not good, in my opinion. It has a very sharp taste and a little bit of an aftertaste. I drank it because my husband bought it, but it is not that good. I wish it had a better taste.

The box says it has a “focused and complex finish. ” Unfortunately, I think the finish leaves a lot to be desired. It’s not horrible, but it’s not as good as the Pinot Grigio. I asked my husband not to repurchase this wine, so, unfortunately, I cannot in good conscience recommend it.

I’ve ordered this particular product from the Total Wine in Akers Mill Square about two to three times a month. About 25% of the time, the wine has been spoiled. I’ve been able to take it back in to the same pickup location to replace the damaged product until recently.

The store manager expressed, rather loudly, that I was the only individual in his entire region region that has complained and returned the Black Box Malbec and he would no longer allow these exchanges.

I felt this was handled unprofessionally and, although the price is more expensive, I have since chosen to go to a local liquor store.

Trial and error led me to my tasty el cheapo cabernet sauvignon dinner wine, but I tried this when I learned malbec is a lot richer in antioxidants and other health factors than cabs. Luckily I think this is delicious—bright, hints of structure, concentrated enough—a pleasant glass for dining.

Total’s price was unbeatable and not everybody carries the malbec.

I am not a wine expert. I’m just a regular person learning about wines. I love smooth and velvety wines that have a small bit of sweetness and are fruit forward in flavor. We just enjoyed this wine with dinner.

If you like a sweeter red wine that is not cloying this is it. Once upon a time ago I liked a sweet red Moscato wine from a super popular brand. I fell out of love with it because it was too sweet and didn’t have a special flavor profile besides sweet.

This is so much better!! Not too sweet but definitely sweet, with a great flavor profile. Wonderful sipping wine for yourself and with company. If you don’t care for sweet this isn’t for you. I would not want it sweeter.

This bottle is labeled as semi-sweet. I believe it comes in a sweet version.

I am definitely not a wine connoisseur, but I definitely like the sweeter wines like the Muscato‘s and the sweeter the better. But this time I was looking for a red wine that had a high enough alcohol percent yeah it was still on the sweeter side.

This definitely is more like a juice red wine but still leans on the side of the red wine. I have had Kadeem Concorde wine which is way more like juice so it’s not as sweet as that. it’s best chilled.

But also room temp.

The owner/manager of the store did not have the wine I originally wanted to purchased and suggested I try II-Duca Imperiale Red. Hesitated because I was a stuck on the Anselman Red that I really love.

I do not like bubbly wine or tart. Guess what? So glad he made the suggestion. This is now my new love of wine. Nice rich sweet wine that is not over powering. Thank you for the suggestion.

I recently tasted several sparkling sweet reds from total wine and the il duca rosa imperiale had the best taste although it was definitely the sweetest and lowest ABV. A lot of other wines in this category can have a bit of a funky aftertaste but this is clean and crisp without just tasting like grape juice.

So if you’re looking for a sweet sparkling red that tastes like there’s almost no alcohol this is the one. Roscato Rosso Dolce was my #2 a little more alcohol a slight earthy aftertaste. Riunite Lambrusco was the baseline and is a great bargain you can get 2 bottles for the price of 1 of these, but you definitely get a bit more of that aftertaste.

I keep mentioning the aftertaste of these but it’s not bad or pungent at all and less noticeable when you’re not drinking all 3 at the same time. All 3 are winners in my book.

My wife, children and I are not wine lovers. at all. But a friend bought us a bottle of Roscato and we really liked it. When I went in to Wines and More to buy some more, the worker there suggested the Duca Rosa Imperiale as a better, more rich tasting wine.

So I bought it and am I ever glad we did! We like the sweet wines and this is just excellent for our tastes. If you like sweet or semi-sweet wines, try the Il Duca Rosa Imperiale. We have NEVER been wine drinkers, but we are now!.

I bought this first several weeks ago and loved it. We ran out so picked up 3 more bottles and it was gone over the weekend. I will buy 1/2 dozen more. This is a great, refreshing summer wine that just hits the spot.

I like most wine but this was a cut above.

The Stella Rosa Brand of wines in one of my favs and this Blackberry is so delicious. Almost taste like juice, but it will finally catch up to you, so be careful on that consumption 😂🤣😂🤣 I like the elegance of the bottle yet the price point is pretty decent for a nice dinner with a glass of wine!.

My best friend and I absolutely love the Stella Rosa wines. We made a list of all and have finally completed it. They are are very good. This blackberry was amazing.

Very fruity and effervescent wine. I like it alot. I reccommemd it as a must for beginners trying Reds.

This is the results of tasting Taylor Port, Sandeman Ruby Port (which does not appear on the website in the same version I tested) and Graham’s Six Grapes Reserve Port. First consideration is price and the Graham’s is three times as expensive as the Taylor and the price of the nearest comparable Sandeman offering is much closer to the Graham price.

I should add that the cap separated from the cork of my Sandeman bottle, necessitating the use of the corkscrew which dumped a few cork fragments into the bottle. I tried to ignore unpleasantness this in making taste evaluations.

The Graham cap held to the cork and Taylor dispensed with the issue by being a screw top. The Taylor is 18% by volume and both Portuguese Ports are 19. 5%. None have an unpleasant alcohol taste. While the Portuguese Ports taste somewhat similar, Taylor has a very strong Kool-Aid like flavor on the back.

I suppose this loses points regarding authenticity, but I don’t mind the taste at all, might even prefer it if I to wanted to drink the wine quickly, for some reason. The Graham has much less of a crushed grape seed taste at the back of it as compared to Sandeman’s, so I give the Six Grape Reserve nod over Sandeman’s Ruby Port.

All three are enjoyable at the room temperature they were tested, the price difference making me think it the best buy by far, but only if you like Grape Kool-Aid, as the back of Taylor’s does taste a bit like it.

Tastes great but definitely drink in moderation. Makes for a great dessert wine and tastes like a sweetened Hennessy. Would definitely purchase again. Everyone loved it!

Port is a sweet wine, so if you’re looking for a dry red, you will not like this one, or any port for that matter. I really enjoy the flavors this wine has over some of the other ports I have tried. Goes great with Italian food, cheese and dessert.

We have been trying to cut alcohol without drinking less wine. We had read about New Zealand’s incentives to wineries that could produce good tasting low alcohol wines, using innovative techniques. We did a tasting between this wine, Yellow Tail Pure Bright (yes I know it’s Australian), and Matua Brancott light Sauvignon Blancs.

The winners were a tie between the Matua and Brancott. They had that, “in your face” flavor and finish we had come to expect of NZ SBs. We are able to drink them to our hearts content, without getting hammered.

The Kim, OTOH… I think they went a bit too far. The wine is slightly sour and tastes watered down. Maybe they harvested the grapes just a tad too early, to get a lower sugar content. Part of our problem with the Yellow Tail Pure Bright, was availability.

It is very good for the price, so retailers have a hard time keeping it in stock. On a streak of whimsy we picked up a light box wine, Bota Box Breeze SB; from Chile. At what would come out to about 4.

50 per 750 ml, it performed quite well. Better than the Kim, in our view.

Sauvignon blanc from New Zealand is a favorite of mine. Kim Crawford is a great go to wine. It’s crisp, nice citrus under tone to it…. I also enjoy that most liquor stores, wine shops, and restaurants I eat at sell Kim Crawford.

This makes it nice because of the dependability of the product. The price point could be better. There are a few other Sauvignon Blanca that are my favorite and better priced. I find places like Total Wine is the best to purchase at….

but as I mentioned this is a great wine that you can order about anywhere and won’t be disappointed or making the wait or wait as you look over the wine list for a third time trying to figure out one wine from the other.

We were looking for some reds to sip outside and read with. I am so happy to have found this vintner. We had some Balcones brandy and didn’t want to keep drinking whiskey past dinner so looked into some reds.

We walked into our local store and having placed this in the cart with their Syrah, we were pleasantly surprised to see it at the wine tasting circle. We tasted this alongside a 70 Napa 1885 bottle and found it to be gorgeous.

Full bodied fruit forward with a deliciously satisfying finish. Definitely see the plum and almost dark chocolate covered cherry flavor notes. Will keep this on my favorites list.

Radius Merlot has been a favorite wine for 10 years. I recently purchased 3 bottles of the 2020 vintage. On opening I did not sense an inviting aroma as without previous vintages over the past 10 years.

This bottle was disgusting. A relative tasted and said it was “dirty. ” That’s a good description. I returned all three bottles and will be interested in other reviews of the 2020 Radius Merlot.

Great nose. Light to medium bodied. Not a bold Cab. Nice fruit forward. Slight spice from oak. Very smooth finish. No need to decant. Tasted great! Paired well with a tomato based Italian soup (i. e.

, Pasta e Fagioli). An enjoyable bottle of wine! I definitely recommend.

This is my favorite. I mostly enjoy Chardonnay’s but enjoy exploring the Sauvignon Blanc isle. I’m not into a strong grapefruit taste. My criteria for choosing a Sauvignon that day (besides price range) was alcohol content, and this one was >14%.

It’s my favorite (and not due to alcohol content), it is just the right amount of grapefruity-ness, crisp and refreshing. I’m glad I tried this one. I always pick up a couple of bottles when I’m at Total Wine and share it with friends.

I had this at a restaurant and i thought it would be twice the price. Great wine! Had it with some grilled shrimp and scallop skewers.

This surprised me. It has been recommended to me so I bought a bottle. I thought it would rival NZ Sauvignon. nope. Its a little too fruit forward for what I expect in a sauvignon. It has a nice bouquet but its a little heavy which was surprising.

More like a cuvee than a true sauvignon.

My favorite red wine. It has a great fruity flavor, not too heavy nor too light. My grandmother who enjoys the heavy full flavor wines absolutely loves this wine. It is a family favorite for all members even those who don’t usually enjoy red wines.

I first tried Rosatello wines on a wine tasting trip in Hawaii. I’m not a big alcohol drinker and only drink what tastes good to me. This is one of my favorite wines. It doesn’t have an aftertaste that many wines have.

It’s sweet and smooth. I’ve tried a few different flavors and the have all been great. It’s hard to locate where I am but whenever I come across it I buy a bottle.

IšverstiShow in original languageFirst, I LOVE this wine and any of the Paso cabs done with care. I seem to know its Paso Robles if it’s done right. This is done right. This is the standard, the archetype for this style for me, well, between this and Austin Hope, I’d be remiss if I didn’t write that.

Now, love it or hate it, the Paso wines, to me, exhibit an herbal, vegetal style. They are fruity, but there are herb notes and vegetable notes that I taste in the best ones. Sometimes well decanted or following day we get asparagus notes in these.

I know, keep one a day or so. LOL I love the nose. on Justin, fruity, herbal, old fruit even. This wines is complex with a CAPITAL C. Wonderful job to the winemaker. You should be proud of the hard work.

It’s just luscious, luxurious, fine tannins, long finish, goes good with sirloin filets. Just fantastic.

I don’t know how to describe this wine but it tastes almost sour/spoiled. It was very difficult to drink so my husband and I ended up just throwing it away. Save your money. I gave it two stars because maybe this was just a bad year?.

IšverstiShow in original languageI usually love a hearty Cabernet. The problem is that some can be very overwhelming and not pleasant on the palate. Justin Cab has the perfect amount of smoothness and is very drinkable.

I have recommended it to several friends and they have loved it.

If you like traditional California sauvignons, you’ll like this. It’s a bit tangy and tart. It’s nothing to impress anyone with nor offend them. I’ve never been a fan of California style sauvignons. They’re not smooth to me.

They have too much bite for me. But if you do like them, BAREFOOT will not disappoint at it’s price point. To me Barefoot products will always be ok for those used to traditional California wines. I buy this product a couple of times in the summer, I put it on ice and go do some yardwork:):):) any extra is great for cooking.

California Sauvigmon Blanc is just not my favorite. You can always trust Barefoot products will be decent, I really like their reds the best though.

Let’s be real about wine and pricing. If it tastes good to you, nothing else matters. Barefoot has been a bargain wine forever, and their Sauvignon Blanc is a light sipper when you want a casual drink and it’s not a special occasion.

The other great thing is Sauvignon is a low carb/sugar wine, so if you’re limiting these for your current lifestyle, Barefoot’s Sauvignon is a decent choice. Just beware that even dry alcohol still has calories!.

I buy this regularly. I think the manufacturer must know how popular it is because they dont make it available in the 1. 5L bigger bottle to force you to buy more. Thats my theory anyway. This sauvignon blanc is very dry and has definite zing of tartness or sourness.

You may not like it if youre looking for a round, warm feel on the tongue because it veers towards sharpness. Tastes very good on its own or with seafood, sushi.

Light and fresh. Definitely acidic and bubbly. Like a flat prosceco with not a big punch. No after taste or heavy head feeling. Smooth. But sweet. Careful to drinkers with fruit allergies because this one could cause issues.
