20 Best Wines For Women (2022 Updated)

No expert, but there is little to no burn, if any, the aroma isn’t strong, though I get a slight vinegary/fermented smell typical with red wines or wines in general that I’ve encountered (cheaper stuff) with what I guess they call darker fruits, like raspberry, black berries, and stuff like that, a little hard to tell specifics tbh.

As for the taste, thicker texture, silky, fruity (can’t really think of any specific one except for probably the grapes used of course), slight rum/spiritiness, alcohol flavor, tiny bit of vinegar, little sourness at the last drop, light-medium overall fruity flavor but present enough, decently tasty, fairly balanced, smooth with almost zero dryness, if any, practically no burn, yet only the flavor of alcohol for being a wine.

I think this is a really good one for its class. However, the fizzy moscato is a little sweeter but is more burny going down, and in the stomach, this is more like silky juice that is rather gentle, something I’d never expect from alcoholic beverages, likely due to it being very well balanced in all or most of its aspects.

If you don’t like dry wine at all, this is it! I am not a fan of anything dry myself, so I am speaking with a little bias. Overall, you’re getting a fairly silky smooth semi sweet fruity experience with no harshness to top it off.

This summer can’t be more perfect with this sprinkling rose! It’s amazing, love the champagne, rose and even the cabernet ( all reds in general) not a big fan of the whites so can’t give my opinion on that! Try it!!!!! You won’t be disappointed!.

If you like an Oaky Chardonnay you’ll love this! I love all the wines I’ve tried from this brand, and they get bonus points for the fun interactive labels. Bottom line is the price is good and the wine is great.

This chard is the right balance of woody and fruity, and is incredible with a roasted herbed chicken or pesto salmon!! Also a winner on Turkey holidays like thanksgiving. Only negative is it goes down SO easy!.

I LOVE THIS WINE! It’s not super fancy but it’s solid. Not only does it have an excellent price point, about $11, but it’s got just a teensy-weensy bit higher alcohol percentage, 16%. It’s a dryer Chardonnay and makes for a killer wine spritzer.

I also find the packaging super cool. It’s an Australian wine so you may not find it with regular Chardonnays. I’ve found it in the import wine section a few times. But don’t think that makes it a pretentious wine, though.

To sum it up: it’s dry, down-to-earth, strong and about $11 a bottle. Hands down my favorite white wine.

Good cheap wine!! The packing is easy to open and the spout is easy to use. If you have a small refrigerator the box may take up a bit of space. The Cabernet is good and at 12% alc vol 2-3 glasses will have you nice and relaxed.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a large quantity of wine (about 5-6 bottles worth) for the price of 2 affordably priced bottles of wine.

This is one that I keep on hand a lot. It’s got a very nice flavor to it. I don’t drink as much as I cook with wines myself. I do find this one a good flavor and very cost conscious wise for those like me that must cook with wine.

I thought it was very good! Crisp and light and just a bit fruity – I don’t like sweet wines and found this one to be quite tasty. Appreciate the fact that it’s organic, too. I agree with another commenter that there was something JUST a tad bitter about it; was hoping it would be more mineraly.

I was so excited to try this Rose based on how it was made after reading my Goop newsletter. ( plus I am a big fan of Cameron Diaz and of her books ) I was very interested in an organic rose with no added sugar.

It did not disappoint. It is absolutely delicious! My daughter and friends thought so too! It is now my go to Rose!.

I recently tried Avaline’s rosé and absolutely love it! I am usually an exclusive Miraval or Whispering Angel drinker, but actually prefer this over both of them. The taste is crisp, not sour like most of the other rosés.

Easy to drink! Great price point! And the fact that I know it is free of additives and chemicals is a major plus! Already recommending to all my family and friends. Fingers crossed they add a red wine soon! :).

Just thinking about this wine makes my mouth water. I drank this wine with a bowl of squash raviolis with browned butter and sage and good. god. Incredible is an understatement. It starts out pretty dry, but then you get a rounded delicious fruity-ness and a gentle kick of spice at the end.

I will be stock piling this wine like the world is ending. (Actually making space in my closet for a case(s) as we speak). The only disappointing thing about this wine is that the bottle eventually runs out.

I did not read clearly and order several bottles hoping for another quality dealcoholized wine. I follow a lot of sober communities and this is how the ad popped up. Might just be me but given the sober movement, it might be helpful to clarify that these are full alcohol wines, and that may or may not be considered “clean”.

Oh well, they will make great gifts.

I am so excited about this wine!! Thus far I have tried both the red and the white, and I love them both. Not only do they check all the boxes as far as being organic with no added sugar etc, but they are really, really, good!!! Thank you, Cameron and Katherine, for making these wines.

This is the MOST underrated wine out there. I first tried this wine back in the 90s and I’m soooo happy to see it’s still around. It’s a divine white wine. Somewhat sweet with apple and spicy clove notes.

Full flavored. VERY aromatic, and pairs well with many foods – from Asian to pork, chicken, etc. It can cut through fats easily so even heavier chesses. It’s a lush aromatic wine. NO comparison to a Riesling or a Zinfandel!!! I would encourage anyone to give this particular wine a try.

Very reasonably priced and I guarantee you, it’s a flavor explosion! You won’t go wrong. And you’ll want this the next time you eat Asian food for sure!!!.

Greenish-silver light tones that make you think of a wine that is going to be easy on the mouth. The water like feeling the consistency gives me leads me to think of this as a wine that is meant for several glasses.

First thing I get when I smell it is macerated fruits, the kind that you would put on a Christmas cake. I also get some fruits in syrup, apricots most likely. On the mouth the green apples are dominating, also some apricots, honey and some mystery spice that could be cloves.

I would absolutely recommend this wine to friends, it was a pleasant experience.

Pale straw color. Medium light citrusy nose – crisp and fresh. Medium light body; assertive acidity; crisp flavors consistent with the nose; off-dry (the acidity makes it seem drier than it is). Light finish.

This is a well made wine and I might have given it five stars had it not been labeled gewürztraminer, however, this wine does not have enough of the distinct varietal character that I have come to associate with gewürztraminer.

Otherwise it is a very enjoyable wine, just not what I expect of a gewürztraminer. (I will admit, when it comes to gewürztraminer, I am a tough room. ) Review 85 I recognize that people have wildly different tastes, and I recognize that there are many different styles of winemaking for each variety of grape.

I also recognize that most bottles of wine have been well crafted. That said, it is unlikely that we will encounter a truly bad bottle of bad wine, but it is inevitable that we will encounter wines that are not to our taste.

Just because a wine is not to our taste does not mean it is a bad wine – it will appeal to someone. When I give a wine five stars, it means that I liked it, it met my expectations, and I will buy it again.

You wouldn’t think a popular wine would be out of stock, but our local wine purveyors are always out of stock. Bota Box Shiraz is our goto wine during the week. On the weekends we usually uncork a vintage varietal.

We miss our BB Shiraz and wind up drinking Black Box Cab (a real step down). If Bota Box Shiraz is gone forever, please let us know.

A middle of the road wine from Greece. Easily drinkable as an accompaniment to lamb cutlets and Greek salad. Not as well rounded as a Boutari red.

It’s a fairly thin wine (which seems typical for Greeks), but it’s dry, light, and smooth. Three stars for the taste, bumped up to four for the value. Nothing too special, but good table wine. A good summer red and one will continue to be a regular for me.

This is a very smooth and flavorful Greek red table wine. Reasonably price and tastes well with just about anything. I would recommend this wine, Opa!.

I’m not a big wine drinker and when I was younger I used to always say I was a juice baby (lol definitely drank milk but preferred juice most of my life over milk). I ventured out and tried this wine and it is truly FANTASTIC.

I had an experience with a bitter wine and that left my stomach feeling wildly unhappy. So if you like something more so sweet and almost juice like I think you should give this a try.

Don’t usually like reds because they are just too yanic. So I tried this one because I read somewhere that it was in the semisweet category. Instead it was like drinking a bottle of Welches Sparkling Grape Juice! Going to finish the bottle, but won’t be purchasing this one ever again.

I love wine, especially white wine. I really enjoy a light and fruity wine that is easy to sip on a patio or in the summer as a treat. I like the bold flavors and usually serve this when with girlfriends.

I find it pairs well with barbecue or fish nicely.

This sparkling moscato is sweet, smooth, light and tasty. I first tasted it at a friend’s house and since have tried many other wines in this same brand. I love them all so far! I would highly recommend this for anyone that loves sweet and fuity alcohol.

Excellent flavor. Drink this with popcorn n chips n salsa. It was a great great beverage. I loved the label too. Sometimes I mix it with Ale81 from Winchester, KY. I will buy it again. Drink chilled or room temperature.

I ran across this today in the white wine section and was reluctant to purchase. I walked around with this SkinnyGirl California in-hand, all the while seeing notable others that were obviously more appealing.

I didn’t think anymore about and just bought it. Turned out to be a really good selection. Obviously not the greatest white wine I’ve ever had, but for us calorie-conscious girls who don’t want all the extra calories, you won’t be disappointed making this your “go-to” white wine at all.

🍇 Blackberries dark cherries take over in both aroma and taste, very fruit-forward. The finish is spicy, and I could taste something familiar – but couldn’t quite put my finger on it. After reading a few reviews, I felt silly at how simple of a taste it was — toast! 🍞 Sounds silly, but TOASTY caramel is a better was of explaining it.

IšverstiShow in original languageI love anything Robert Mondavi so when I spotted this bottle of wine I knew I had to try it. My favorite red has always been Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s delicious and doesn’t have that bitter taste some reds have.

It’s a perfect red to have a glass of wine alone or paired with a nice juicy steak. Would also Go amazing with a meat cheese platter. Yum 😋 As if all of these reasons weren’t enough the price is amazing for a good red.

Definitely a nice wine to take to a dinner party or even give as gifts for the upcoming holidays.

I should have paid more attention to the name and the bad reviews on this wine. Just an FYI for those that don’t care for sweet tasting wine. This wine is indeed sweet which is not my kind of wine that’s why I gave it a 2 star rating.

You might find it enjoyable if you like sweet wine. I’m glad that it’s inexpensive so it’s not that bad of a disappointment. I hope my review helps others.

One of my best friends had put me on to this wine. I have to say it was one of the most tasteful red wines I’ve had. I usually like sweet wines but not that much into more grown wines. Again this was definitely a game changer.

I bought this merlot a few weeks ago and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this merlot. I have purchased this brand’s Moscato and it was good. This is my ALL time favorite!

I’m not much of a wine drinker but this. I’m in love and refuse to try anything further. Has a light berry taste with the fizz to it. Almost like sparkling cider which is good and bad, because you enjoy the flavor so much and it doesn’t taste like wine or alcohol, so it sneaks up on you.

But this stuff is good. I found mine at a decent price at total wine and more.

Hands down the best wine that I have ever had! The price is just right and the taste is so sweet with a little bit of a zip to it! If you are looking for a crowd pleasing wine for a party or gathering this is the right one for you.

What we have here is a classic box-ticker. Sweet and sour is the best way to describe the flavor on my palette. Starts off with delightful subtle sweetness and ends slightly smokey. It’s smooth but not overly silky.

It’s very tasty even without the boldest of bodies, and its pop stays consistent for me. On the finish it’s got just the right amount of dryness for what I like. Might not be for some. I’m definitely coming back to this gem again whenever it’s available!.

I have had an opportunity to visit a high-end vineyard in Napa and their appellation for their Pinot Noir was Russian River Valley. I now seek out Pinot Noirs of that appellation at price points that best fits may weekly wine consumption budget.

Angeline was wonderful and proud to share at parties and just enjoy at home. I like my wines with nice flavor notes and this met my expectations.

We bout a small bottle of this abs several others to try them out before we fully committed. I typically always like red wines and have started really enjoying Pinot noir. This is one of the best ones I’ve tried.

Not a great Pinot. Too subtle and fruit forward to be a true Pinot. Just bland. I was pretty disappointed based on other reviews. It’s not expensive but other Pinot noirs can be found at this price point that are superior.

I wanted to “Love” this. I really had higher expectations with the reviews. My first thought after my initial sip was “Whoa! Grape rubbing alcohol?” Darn I wanted to like this. It’s just not good.

This is a wonderful tasting Pinot for the price. Some affordable Pinot Noirs can be too acidic. This one is very rich and you can taste the cherry overtones. I love dark cherries. I also appreciate the screw cap for easy opening.

The bottle is very pretty and everyone is immediately intrigued by the name.

My favorit wine to drink! Highly recommend as it is a dessert wine, wink wink! Its on the sweer side. So mamu different flavors to try this one is my davoeite go to for dinner, family fet-togdthers or as a gift.
