20 Best Winter Hiking Leggings (2022 Updated)

In case this might help anyone deciding if they are a XS or S in these pants. -these pants are a skinny straight leg, 31 inch inseam. They have a fleece lining inside and an outer water and wind resistant softshell like fabric on the outside.

I use these on winter walks over an hour and it’s ok for me up to -15C. The one leg pocket is very deep (can fit your phone, gloves, etc. ) -I have both XS and S. I like the XS fit better. I agree with others, the hip and upper thigh areas have a weird fit almost like there’s too much fabric and it scrunches a bit plus the pocket on the leg kind of contributes to that.

Because the small is looser on me it shows more. I bought the S so I can wear a base layer under (still snug def not baggy). I find the waist hard to get past the hips on both (you have to shimmy them on obviously more so on the XS).

-For reference, hips = 38 inches, waist = 28-29 inches, 125#, 5’2. I like my pants tighter than looser and I prefer the XS (fits more like a legging).

I bought 2, one in XS and S. The XS fit more like leggings but the sides are so bumpy. The small which is looser is even bumpier with ample fabric in the crotch and upper thighs. I bought the small to fit base layers underneath and that one is even bumpier.

I have never worn pants where the sides from the upper thigh to the knees are bumpy!! I spoke to customer service and they were no help. I thought maybe I got a lemon but both pants being lemons? My first time buying Columbia pants – never again.

I decided to get these and wore them over sweat pants the other day for the first time in -5C for a walk. They are pull on pants and fit nicely and felt just right at this mild temperature. I’m unsure if they would be warm enough in colder temps but will try wearing them with a thermal base instead of sweat pants.

My only dislike is the colour which is blue. Not really a dark blue that I expected based on the ad image with the colour nocturnal, but a blue that stands out more like a royal blue. I’m partial to neutral colours for winter pants like blue-black, black, and charcoal and this is definitely not one of these colours but will keep being they were on sale.

Best leggings I have bought, and I have been trying all sorts of brands and styles. Until now I have had to choose between cheap but poor quality, or good quallity but expensive. These leggings hit the perfect midpoint, lightweight but not flimsy, well made and reasonably priced.

I love that I can choose the leg length so no need to get them shortened. They hold their shape and don’t sag or slip down. I like the softer texture of the Butterluxe fabric, I found the Nakedfeel a bit slippery.

I have worn them for yoga and also for everyday and they are equally good in both situations. You don’t have many colours in stock at the moment, hoping you will get more variety. And if you made them in some fun patterns as well as plain colours they would be absolutely perfect!.

I was hesitant to buy these leggings because I was worried the elastic waistband would be uncomfortable. When I tried them on I was amazed that they were so comfortable. These leggings fit my waist and my athletic legs perfectly.

The touch of stretch conforms them perfectly to my legs. These are my go to for warmer weather ski touring and colder weather hiking. They would also be great for running and biking. I have used them about 10 times over 2 months ski touring in warmer conditions (about -15 degrees Celsius and up).

Often I wear them multiple times between washes and the fabric stays dry/warm and has no odor. I just wish they sold them in a lighter color because the black can feel hot when you are ski touring on a sunny spring day (when shell pants are off).

I highly recommend this lighter fabric because it gives you options to add layers on top in colder weather. The fabric has been very durable so far, as I skied in tighter trees with my shell pants off and there were no rips or tears after brushing up against tree branches.

I am 5’8, 125 pounds, 27. 5 inch waist and the small fits perfect. I am usually a size medium due to my athletic legs but I followed the sizing chart which recommended size small. So happy to find base layer pants that fit my waist and my legs and feel great.

I think I now have Icebreaker base layers in the bodyfitzone style for every possible temperature 🙂 They fit amazingly, and don’t get wickedly baggy due to the breathable zones (I think it’s because of that?!).

The waistpad is good – I wish it was a bit thicker, but it doesn’t cause a muffin top so I’ll live with it. Can’t recommend Icebreaker baselayers – in the Bodyfitzone style in particular – highly enough.

Wear them for days on end and they don’t stink. They dry super fast, and they keep you nice and warm and cozy always. Do yourself a favour and buy some ASAP!.

Bought the pants in mens M. Did some research around sizing from other websites and reviews and they fit great. I’m 6’2″, 190 lbs, 32″ waist, and slimish build. I wanted them tight since they’re meant to be worn under clothing.

I live in eastern Canada where our winters can be harsh and mostly below zero temps (celsius). With their temperature regulation, anti-odor, and warmth even when wet, you really can’t go wrong with these.

I highly recommend.

I love Minus 33 merino leggings in particular because they’re so comfortable, well made and long lasting. Even the extra customs cost doesn’t deter me from buying. Just one warning to women buyers. I recently mistakenly ordered some Juneau style exhibition weight leggings (instead of my usual Kenai) and was surprised to find I could barely get in them and certainly couldn’t wear them.

The Juneau are shorter and narrower in the leg and shorter at the waist. I’ve returned them for an exchange. I’m otherwise always satisfied with Minus 33 customer service and tge amazing products.

I wear skirts or dresses all year long, I wear my expedition leggings with them in the cooler weather. I also use them as a base layer when hiking/skiing/snowshoeing in the winter. They are warm and they retain their shape (no baggy knees).

I love that they are wool and a sustainable fabric. I also have a lighter weight pair to wear during warmer weather. I am not even going to count the Minus 33 shirts I own. Nuff said – I love this clothing!.

Love everything Minus33 so I thought I would try the leggings. They’re amazing but for my hourglass body shape they sit way too low on the waist. The length is fine for the legs though. I will keep them because I’m lazy and don’t like to return things and I’m hoping maybe if I keep pulling them up they’ll eventually mold to my bod.

I’m not sure whether I’ll keep these. The fabric is much stiffer than that of the previous Abisko trekking tights, and they might be cut smaller. This makes them bind behind my knees in an almost painful way.

I’m a medium according to the size chart and in my Abisko tights purchased last year (30in waist), but these in the same size were an absolute struggle to get on. I wouldn’t want to be fighting to get myself into leggings this tight on a backpacking trip, for sure.

My old tights were snug at first but not to this degree, and they loosened up nicely after a couple of wears, but these are so tight that I doubt they’ll loosen up enough, especially behind the knees.

Oh, and the stitching is scratchy and too tight under the butt and above the knees. I might try a large but in all reality I just don’t really like this new fabric (it’s more like regular stuff yoga pant fabric vs the older one which was a sleek and compressive yet comfortably stretchy) so maybe not.

Why did this company have to go and change a good thing???.

I’d been eyeing these tights for ages because of all the pockets that are great for hiking and the reinforced knees and bum. Plus, they’re just so darn cute. So when I saw they were significantly marked down, I finally pulled the trigger.

I’m glad I got them on sale, but even with the discount, I wouldn’t repurchase. The fit is fine, runs slightly small – I’m normally a M in athletic tights and purchased this in L given it’s a European brand, and based on other reviews.

My complaints though are due to how uncomfortable these are. You can feel every single seam on these tights, and the fabric on the knees and bum is like sandpaper. I can only imagine the chafing that will happen if I’m not careful.

I have a similar pair from another outdoor company that fit much better and are far more comfortable. So these are cute, but I won’t plan on wearing them for anything but extremely short hikes.

My friend SWORE by these trekking tights for all activities-hiking, biking, backpacking, travel, life etc. I loved the idea of the reinforced butt and knees but the fabric they use for the reinforcement was horrible.

the inside stitching poked and itched. It obviously didnt bother my friend or maybe i have a badly stitched pair, but they were horrendous. I took them backpacking and regretting every step in these pants.

And sleeping in them, was a heck no. i would rather be cold them wear these at night. If the stitching doesnt bother you then they look goooood! i loved the look and idea behind these pants. they felt durable and yet flattering.

the length was perfect and the slight rise in the back was nice for a hint of extra butt crack coverage. because i was sensitive, my backpack rubbed my skin raw with the rough fabric and caused a rash on my upper butt/lower back area.

again, that would be if you have issues with the stitching. i wish these worked for me.

I have only worn these leggings once in -4C weather and my review is based solely on this experience. I went for a test brisk wall and found them to be true to size but not so soft as many of the reviews said.

They are quite itchy. Hope this will change after the first wash. What I was most disappointed with is that they did not keep me warm. Perhaps they are a better fit for milder late fall temperatures.

I definitely would not be wearing them when I go camping and wear 250.

If you have tried older versions of TNF’s Winter Warm tights, this current design is quite different in both materials and fit. Overall, not the biggest fan of the changes. The good: – Hardier front fabric is more abrasion-resistant and wind-resistant – A slide-in thigh pocket has been introduced which holds phones and gels well – As a shorter individual (5’6″), the new shorter length is perfect for my proportions The bad: – While the material on the interior is still fleeced, it is much thinner than the previous version.

The slight degree of wind resistance is nice but warmth has been the tradeoff. As someone who was looking for more of a thermal performance tight, this was disappointing. – The materials are more constrictive compared to the previous version, including the stitching.

This gives the tights a tendency to ride down along the legs slightly. Tying the drawstring on the waistband will keep it in place, but the tightness around the thighs from the stitching makes it less comfortable.

– The fit around the thighs seems to run small while the waistband fit as expected. This is possibly due to the reduced stretchiness in the fabric. This means that you may need to size up to fit your legs.

The waistband might be looser but this can be remedied with the drawstring. For sizing reference, I am 5’6″ and approx 165 lbs. Overall, I like the addition of the pockets but I miss the previous version.

It’s a shame it’s been discontinued. I’m still using them for running just around 0C but I’m not confident it will handle lower temps (-5 to -10C) well. I’ll look forward to the next redesign.

So these do run small, I went up a size to what I normally buy in tights and they fit comfortably, getting them on at first was really tight but once up they fit like a glove. I am 5’7 and the length is perfect, hits exactly as a full length tight should, the high rise waist also comes just over my belly button which I love.

While these do feel warm I am yet to take them on cold trail. The material is thick and feels comfy, they feel like a soft shell jacket for your legs! I am happy they aren’t fleece lined, I want to wear them on high output hikes in cold weather and don’t want the fleece for that.

These are designed for active pursuits and not cozying up with a coffee in the snow. I would have liked to have seen more renforcement in the bottom but I can see without it, it does give much more flexibility.

If you are on the fence if you should try them, but they seem like the type of tight you are looking for, get them. I think the other reviews unfairly shamed these.

Great Fit! I’m worried about the longevity of the product though. After only a few weeks of having these tights I had a couple threads hanging off of the back pocket that I thought were nothing. Then a month into owning them and the reflective logos on the tights have fallen off or cracked.

Only washed a couple times with cold water and hung to dry. The fit is great and they are very comfortable. If it wasn’t for the fear of the product not lasting in the long run… then I would give them 5 stars.

I have taken these leggings EVERYWHERE. Hiking, caving, and in the garden. Traveling, with a tunic or top, or under my wind-resistant pants on cold mountain tops. They’ve been in all kinds of weather, and put through aggressive abrasion as I slid and crawled around on rocks and mud, and did a lot of sliding on my butt in caves.

They’ve also been out to drinks, and to work. They’ve been washed at least a hundred times and they’re as good as they day I got them. The pockets are legit. too! Like, you can actually zip your phone safely into one, and a credit card, some cash, and a key or two in the other without looking horribly lumpy.

And, perhaps most importantly, they fit like a gosh darn dream, too. Wonderfully high-waisted and delightfully smoothing and flattering. I wear Spanx a lot to smooth loose skin from major weight loss, and with these leggings I don’t need them at all.

They are always comfortable, haven’t faded or aged a bit, and are remarkably durable. An actually impressive product and worth every penny. Getchyoo some.

These leggings are great, they have converted me to a leggings with pockets advocate. Not only do I love that they have pockets, but the zipper makes them even better––I don’t have to worry about a key or phone bouncing out at any point, and the material on the outside feels smooth and durable.

The material of leggings is super soft (not slick like a lot of leggings) and thicker than the average legging. I’m not worried about snags at all. It’s super breathable so it feels great in normal temperatures, but the slightly thicker nature of the material is perfect for cool days or when the temps drop at night.

On fit (I’m a S/M and got a Small): The waist is so comfortable (high and well fitted but soft and stretchy), the crotch has room (no camel toe), and if you are tall these tights do not go down to the ankles, it’s more like a 7/8 fit.

Overall so comfortable, would definitely recommend for go to leggings for the outdoors and around town.

These leggings are awesome! They are warm, yet not hot in the sun, the soft shell-like material is SO great for hiking, especially through dewey plants. I wore them for a backpacking trip and didn’t end up changing pants the whole time (took them off when I slept to get a little air), not smelly, not stretched out.

They were awesome! GET EM! I got the green (beautiful color), in a medium and they fit really well! I am 5’10, 150 pounds and they come right above my ankle. I have quite an athletic booty and they fit it well, my waist is tiny and they stay on well with just a little looseness through the day.

These leggings have a substantial weight and I wanted to like them. However the waistband was a little low and loose on me, and I think it may cause stability issues. The biggest shortcoming was the lack of stretch – enough to get them on, but they feel like they won’t wear well as a legging.

I didn’t want to keep them only to have them constrict, bag out, or wear out. They seem like they should be pants material where the cut has more give. Returned.

I love microfleece, but often the comfort is ruined by extreme elastic waists, or huge billowy legs–these have no elastic in the waist–they just come up and sit just right. Also, they have nicely fitted legs, while the hip area is roomy.

I love them and bought pairs for daughter in laws for Christmas presents. I like the dark checks, or black. I followed the size chart for my measurements and went to the larger size because I want them to fit more like casual pants than tight leggings.

Because of the design, and the unstructured waist, tho, I think they would be comfortable as tight leggings. Softest microfleece imaginable. Love them.

I love so much about these pants but there are a couple of things that just don’t make these a 5 star rating. PROS Rugged AF Lots o’ pockets Fits well around the legs I really like the color (navy) They wash very well.

They looked brand new when I took them out of the wash. CONS The material is kinda slippery, meaning that stuff falls out of the pockets The waistband constantly slips down. I’m not sure if this is because of the cut or the material but it’s a pain when you’re trying to work and your hands are too busy or too grubby to pull them up.

I definitely agree with other reviewers about the lack of belt loops or hammer loops. I wish rugged pants like this focused on the part that is usually the first to wear out on me– the inner thigh. I got those thicc thighs, and every pair of pants I have inevitably rub through there before anywhere else.

I’ve never worn out a knee or a hem on a pair of pants before that gives out. And, having a seam in this area exacerbates the issue.

Love the material and that’s about it. The fit on these is incredibly awkward. I ordered a size up after reading reviews and I’m glad I did. The waist fits perfectly, but as an average size woman, I find the waistband has a tendency to cut in and really accentuate the “mom pooch” making them rather unflattering.

The crotch is also ridiculously loose, like there is a lot of room there and it just looks really weird. I feel like these are styled more as men’s straight leg pants than women’s leggings. I was also disappointed in the lack of back pockets and front pockets.

I do like the zippered pocket as it’s perfect for securely stashing cash/credit cards and the side pocket is great for phones, but I expected there to be back pockets at least. Unfortunately I’ll be returning these as I don’t find them to be comfortable with the extremely loose crotch (especially when they’re fitted everywhere else).

I was expecting a much better styled legging for the price.

bought these today in black, washed these today as directed. i come to find the area where the sizing sticker was placed on the back thigh left residue on the fabric that’s quite noticeable in person & from a distance.

tried ways of taking it off but it doesn’t budge, looks like the fabric is permanently stained from the sticker adhesive. uh, other than that they’re warm & perfect for minnesota winter, i love the area in the knees & the extra side pocket.

they’re a bit long for me but i guess i’m on the shorter side @ 5’2. but i’ll knock off an appearance point bc i hate having to roll up my pants & they look funny at my calves & ankles. you should have short , regular & tall options.

i like that it’s a nice thick nylon & spandex fabric tho. but with that being said it’s a magnet for hair or fibers of all kinds… & the fabric would easily get pulled out of place if caught on something.

the fabric itself is shedding shiny stringy fibers, makes me wonder if in the future it’ll be piling. but pants like these are more for work/keeping warm than they are a fashion statement for me so deep down i could care less what they look like… shhh…….

Made from a very flattering fabric and well cut. I tested them for now at 15 degrees, wind and light rain drops and they behaved well, I guess they can be enough for 5-10 degrees. I took my size and they are a little roomy, maybe if you are in between sizes you can go with the smaller one.

Great tights, my wife loves them, very warm, probably usable up until late autumn, down to somewhat below 10°C. Reviews on other websites said these are larger than expected, and they’re correct; I ordered one size smaller than my wife’s usual and they fit great.

Just love these leggings. So comfortable when hiking. Generous size 8. However not over warm and needed to wear thermals on a cold windy day whilst hiking along northeast coastal path.

My wife is the most cold natured person I know. She’s also the most thrifty person I know and she often buys “cheap”. She is planning a trip to New York City with our daughters and she wanted thermal leggings that were thin, comfortable, and warm outside, but could be worn indoors throughout the day without being unbearably hot indoors.

I own a pair of Icebreaker 200 Oasis for Men (as well as tops) and I live in them in the winter. I ordered her a pair of the 200 Oasis Leggings and she couldn’t believe how comfortable they are. Thin enough to be worn under her clothes unlike her older, bulky counterparts.

Sufficiently warm outside in the cold elements and comfortably “toasty” indoors. She loves how comfortable they are! Happy wife. Happy life. She deserves the best, that’s why I got her Icebreakers.

We’ve tried so many brands of Merino base layers and these are our favourites! I haven’t noticed any shrinkage after washing. These base layers are fitted, while being slightly stretchier than leggings from Wee Woollies and Iksplor.

This makes them more comfortable for our toddler to wear under her winter clothes or as pyjamas when camping. Durability seems a lot better too. These don’t develop small holes from rough play like we’ve seen with other leggings.

They are also just as warm, but thinner and less bulky than HH base layers. That makes them easy to layer under other winter layers without any complaints from our toddler.

for the price of these i would hope that I would be impressed, but impressed is an extreme understatement. Icebreaker might have installed nanobots into their fabric because this stuff is advanced technology.

I have quite a few different brands of merino wool clothing and icebreaker TRULY makes me understand “temperature regulating” other brands have caused me to over heat, these keep me perfect temp no matter how hard im working but the biggest thing for me is that they actually hold their shape.

Other brands either aren’t that stretchy or they get super loose after a few days of wearing. Ive had these on for 3 weeks now, yoga twice a day 6 days a week and every time I put them on its like they were just washed.

I have absolutely 0 dislikes about this product. 10/10 recommended.

Let’s just start with I LOVE TRAIL TIGHTS! These are the most comfortable, practical leggings I have ever owned – I am pretty sure I have 8-10 pairs. I wear them for everything – around the house, camping, hiking, biking, climbing, to church with a longer shirt, whatever.

The pockets are awesome and I cannot live without the waistband pocket for my lip balm and small pocket knife. There are two styles I buy – (1) the regular tights with a zipper pocket on each side and the waistband pocket (two big pockets total and 1 small pocket) and (2) the cargo tights with a flapped cargo pocket on each side and a drop-in pocket on each side (4 big pockets total).

Unfortunately, the cargo version does not have the waistband pocket but there are enough big pockets that I can live without it (with only a bit of grumbling each time I wear a pair). I am embarrassed to admit that I do not follow the washing instructions very well.

I try to remember to turn them inside-out but I use Oxyclean as an additive and fabric softener. Despite my laziness, they seem to hold up well. And I LOVE the high waist that they all have now – I may just donate the older ones I have (still in great shape!) that have the mid-rise waist.

A couple years ago (AKA when the pandemic drove me outdoors more than usual,) I started hiking a lot more frequently, and quickly realized I needed to find trail pants that fit well, would move with me and hold up on more serious scrambles, and ideally, looked good, too.

The High Rise Trail Tight Leggings fit the bill. There’s enough compression to feel supported, and at the same time, plenty of stretch so there’s no restriction of movement. I also personally really like the high waist.

They are super durable, too – I’ve managed to scrape the skin of my legs on rocks while wearing the tights, without any damage to the tights themselves. Wild! I love them so much that after I lost some weight recently, I bought the same tights in the next size down (Small), and will be gifting my old size Mediums to a friend.

Even after 60+ hikes in the old ones, they’re still in excellent shape and worthy of continued life on the trail. And I can’t wait to break in my new tights on some serious hikes later this month!.

I have 2 pairs of the “heathered” trail tights from years back. To this day they are my favorites. One pair is finally wearing thin so I THOUGHT I was replacing them with these. But these are not nearly as sturdy as the older ones were.

The “heathered” appearance is way less. Being that I am a 59 year old, in good condition and not in the least overweight, I still loved the effect the old rights had. They showed nothing! There was absolutely no sheen to them and they were perfect! But these newer ones are less of that heathered effect so show more stuff! Also I didn’t realize that my old ones, which as I said are my go to leggings, obviously were midrise.

The newer ones are all high waisted. So very high for us shorter torsoed people. Had I known they were gonna take my old ones away I would have bought more years ago! They only came in two colors so I bought the 2 and they (the older sturdier ones) have lasted me this long.

(10 years at least!!) I hate it when companies change their stuff! Sorry for any misspellings, it’s hard to re read what I’ve written on my phone on this website!.

I bought these for hiking and spent two days/20 miles in them. The material is magically soft and comfortable yet rugged, the pockets are the BEST; I could keep my phone in easy reach when needing to take pics, check the trails, I could stash a bar/snack in the other side.

My one and ONLY complaint is that they are not high waisted OR have an elastic so I found myself jacking these up almost *constantly*, even in the legs! I bought a small, I’m 145lb and 5’7 with an athletic build/solid booty so perhaps my rear end is what kept the pants from sliding down.

I might order the mediums to see if they stay up any better. I want to love these with all my heart and hoping it’s just a sizing issue.

I’ve had these tights for over a year now. I wear them once or twice a week in winter. I wash them very irregularly but if I do it’s a cold wash, low spin. Anyway, I got these leggings in an XS and they were an ok fit.

Not very fitting around the waist and hips, I’ve got to pull them up a bit throughout my walks. They immediately started to come out of the wash all fluffy and the seams are starting to get all rolly, I don’t have other clothes that do this.

the worst part is they have stretched considerably! This is my biggest issue, they have become so daggy and loose, they haven’t lasted well at all. I’m going to have stop wearing them soon because the pants look so sad now.

For $150 I expected a lot more. I also have other clothes made from recycled polyester which continue to deliver in good quality and long lasting wear. These leggings were a waste of money, I wish I didn’t buy them.

I really really wanted them to succeed, but it hasnt been fun.

I ordered these because I wanted a thick tight with abrasion resistance on the bum and knees. But sadly these tights are not meant for very tall/slim women. The waist fit okay in the medium, but the leggings barely went past my knees because they are so loose and wide and they ride wayyy up.

I normally don’t have an issue with medium sized tights, but these are really big in the calf to knee area. For reference I am 6’ 140lbs. I don’t think they would fit anyone over 5’10”. A small wouldn’t cut it.

Warm leggings and very comfortable. Go according to size chart. Got 1 size bigger and fits perfectly.

Hello,I have purchased around 23 thousand rupees thermal clothes items before coming to uk. really I tell you not even one item was not good. After 2 wearing all clothes became dirty due to the stuff used for that thermal has came out and fully become like a net.

So my humble request to people who all coming to UK no need that type of clothes here. Simple one jacket is enough here. Don’t waste your money.

I wore them under shop pants in class for woodworking. Wore them under work pants, I wore them under cycling wind pants. Great under armour. Wool dries out your skin. I found my knees dry all the time after wearing these.

Apply lotion. Sometimes but rarely bit itchy but not really I got used to it after like 20min.

It specifically says in the description that it does not itch. It itches and as a result you cannot wear it as your first layer.

These have been invaluable this winter. They are so snuggly and warm on your skin and the fit is supremely comfortable. I actually went up a size to medium and they are more forgiving. I have hardly taken them off and have now ordered the black.

Smooth on the outside, fluffy on the inside – proper wintery I hope. I went for grey as I like the contrast stitching. Bit “busy” round the waist for a size 18 who’s got enough business around there! Don’t favour the chord.

At least this one is tucked inside and not dangling but it’s also got a penny pocket. Perfect length for me at 5’4″.

I got these in my usual size, but they were extremely tight. They have a limited amount of stretch, and I could barely bend my knees. I would exchange them for the next size up, but the only part that wasn’t tight was the waist, which was on the loose side.

I’m afraid the next size up might fit better in the legs and hips but would be way to big in the waist. For reference, I am 5’5” about 125 lbs with an athletic build, and I got a size small. The other thing to note is that the fabric is very thin and light.

That might be what you want, but for me, if it’s hot I prefer to wear shorts. I wear pants when it’s slightly cooler, and these seem like they would be really chilly in anything under 65 or so.

I wore these once, for a 6 pitch climb in Red Rock on Thanksgiving. I wore a midweight layer underneath, because it was pretty cold. They look good, perform well (super stretchy), and are very comfy.

However, the entire backside was pilled by the end of the day. This is pretty disappointing. I need better durability for outside climbing. Also, no pockets. None. Not one. I will return them if I can.

Kuhl did everything wrong with these pants. The non-stretch fabric on the front and back make them very difficult to move around in, they fall down constantly no matter how tightly you cinch the waist, and they are so uncomfortable.

Unfortunately I ordered two pairs of these so now I have two things that I hate more than anything in my closet. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews. If you want to do anything besides sit on the couch, buy a different kind of pants.

Love this Winter offering from Sherpa. I’m 5’4” and 145 -overall athletic build, the size small is a perfect and comfortable fit. The only con about these I’d read in another’s review and that is the tightness behind the knee.

This is real, I’ve found. My legs are athletic and certainly not fat so I feel that is important to add. Lastly I find myself pulling them up often yet I do this with a lot of pants-could just be my hip structure.

Because it’s such a practical and easy to wear pant for wet and cold conditions, the cons were not deal breakers for me. Of course I’d love Sherpa to tweet this pant next Winter season and iron out these minor cons.

Pulling them on does feel like putting on a wetsuit. It’s a thing yet once there on you feel good to go!.

Love these fleece pants! The Mediums have a nice slim fit–not baggy–and comfy all over, despite my long rise. I wish they were a tad bit longer in overall leg length, though they’re okay for my 5′ 4″ height.

I like that they taper around the ankles, keeping the wind out on a long cold walk. I usually wear a size 6 pants, so I’d say these definitely run a bit small; I feel lucky that the Mediums fit so well.

I also like that they are made in Nepal, which I hope means honest and fair wage employment for the people there.

While walking the dog on a chilly morning or fat biking in single digits my bum and legs stayed toasty warm in these Sherpa pants. Wind blocking on the downhill rides, but you won’t overheat when pumping out a hill on two wheels or hiking.

4 out of 5 stars, because they lack a draw string at the waist, which I easily added after the fact. Sized up one size.

Bought these for my wife, who is typically a size 10-12, following the sizing guidelines that urged to buy them a couple sizes up. So we tried a 16, then a 14, and then a 12, and kept getting dinged for “restocking fee” whenever we needed to send them back.

Turns out, if we just ordered her correct size all along, they’d probably be fine. Her quote: “I really want to like these tights, but I can’t wear them anywhere because they never stay up. ” I offered to send them back once more but she was sick of the back & forth & hassle asking for a refund on the restocking fee.

“I just don’t think I’ll buy from them again. “.

My wife was excited finally be able to try out something from Livsn. She is impressed with the build quality and loves all the pockets, however, she feels like the sizing guide may have mislead her so now she has pants that are too loose to be useful for anything.

When she wears these she has to constantly hike them up and she could really tell they were too big until she used them on a hike so I don’t think they are returnable. Nothing really against the brand or the product but beware that these run big and will likely stretch out after you actually use them.

Bummer!.

Fit is actually true to size. I’m a 2x or size 20 and found these trail tights to be both durable and stylish. Perfect for outdoor activities. Love the subtle pockets the most. Very comfy and not too tight either.
