20 Best Winter Windshield Cover (2022 Updated)

It fits perfectly over my windshield and looks like it was custom made. I like the durable material used. It protects from dirt and messy dew as well. But my main reason for purchase was to keep many leaves from getting under my wipers and hood.

My new parking space is near a super leaf-dropping tree – my initial reason for starting my search for a cover. The cover holds tightly in place. Another benefit: fewer windshield wiping between car washes.

I felt it would fit before I bought it, but its still a good idea to measure your windshield height and width anyway.

I was looking at different options for windshield snow covers and this one sold me because the safety measure they have on it is great. When you put the shield inside the 2 doors and close it there’s a log type thicker padding inside the material that way nobody can’t pull and get the item to slide out.

I haven’t used this yet as I bought this before the winter season. Would give 5 stars if I’ve used it but haven’t yet. Also would like to add there’s a 1 year manufacture warranty which is great.

From the roof of the car to the hood it does not go past the wiper blade base/vent area far enough. Just goes to the base of the wiper blade base. Will have to dig snow out of that vent area which I thought this protector would cover that.

I took the measurements twice to make sure. I think the straps that go over the side view mirrors need to be sewn in a little higher on the mat and then should give enough length to cover windshield wiper vents.

Should still have enough to cover high enough on roof. Magnets at least on the part that goes on the hood would make it so much better. I have to return things but I just may. So hard to find one for snow that fits a 2017 Kia like I need.

I’ve had one before, so I knew before I bought this one what I was getting. The Frostblocker is quick to put on, quickly remove, and stays put without having to close flaps in the doors or windows like some other brands.

The mirror covers secure with a drawstring that is easy to use – even when cold. If I ever need another, I’d buy this same one again!!.

Got two of these, theyre very quick to fit, keeps the frost off very well, I have a Ford pick up truck, the mirror covers do fit but they are a tight fit, could do with being a bit larger. Overall very good value.

Good design; poor execution. I was excited to try a magnetic windshield cover in this province (SK) of incessant winds. Everything else I have tried has always flip flapped in the wind and snow ends up getting caught underneath.

So we tried this. Used it for one day. GOOD if you have an older vehicle you don’t care about the paint finish on. It’s a good design, good coverage, good side straps for tucking in doors. And has magnets! To contact the upper door area and down along the windshield base/hood.

This is the problem also. What does wind do? Moves things. ALSO – even adjusting the cover resulted in the same. SCRATCHED PAINT. Although the vinyl material is covering the magnets, it’s still scraping against your vehicle with any move.

Therefore, it’s a fail here.

This windshield guard works great for smaller cars. I have a 2014 Nissan Leaf, which actually has a largish windshield, and the shade fits it like a glove. The magnets keep it firmly in place on their own, and the stoppers that go in the door add extra security.

It’s hot here in Texas at the moment, but the windshield guard keeps the interior of the Leaf much cooler than my old shade. I think because the sun can’t get through the thick, durable fabric at all, it keeps the windshield glass from heating up unlike the interior shades.

I cannot wait to see if we get snow again this winter. I have complete confidence that the shade will keep ice off the windshield because it covers so completely and securely. It might also be fantastic in the spring to keep thick, sticky pollen from gunking up the windshield.

I tried to use it on my 4×4 2018 Expedition, and it was a solid no go. The windshield guard wasn’t quite wide enough, it was a pain to try to reach up and spread it across the much taller height of the vehicle, and the magnets didn’t work at all.

I did not realize, but the newer Expedition body is all aluminum to reduce weight. and aluminum is non magnetic. Works great for vehicles that aren’t enormous soda cans.

A must have for extreme weather! I’m in California and live in the Sierra Foothills where the summer heat exceeds 100 degrees during the summer. My car is black with black interior and when I’m parked outside in the hot sun, it’s really really unbearably hot in my car.

This Weatherforce windshield protector really makes a huge difference. I can actually get in my car without having to start my car and try to cool it down for 10 minutes before I can get in. Also, with all of the unfortunate fires that have been going on nearby, falling ash has also been an issue, and this has also been useful in protecting my windshield.

This will be great to use in the winter as well. You use the smooth side for snow. This is a high quality, durable product and has some weight to it…and even being in the relentless hot sun for the past few weeks, it’s still holding strong.

Cover for a Chevy Class C RV windshield and door windows. Fits perfectly and is a good tight seal. No need to use cab drape on velcro to block out sun and provide privacy. I wish I had of gotten it sooner, sometimes putting the long wrap around drape on was a pain.

This just lays on windshield and you put corners over top of open door, close door and velcro straps under outside mirrors, place windshield wiper blades on top of cover and the magnets at bottom of door glass hold it perfectly in place.

Used for over 2 years. And liked very much. It’s very durable and thick layer to protect from heat or cold. It fits perfectly for my Ford e450 RV. I came back to buy another one for my truck and noticed the price is high (I don’t remember how much I paid for this one two years ago.

Nice cover. Installation very easy, just layout on windshield, hook the top corners on door and pull front bottom down under wipers. I will probably use this instead of inside privacy curtain because of easy install and protects dashboard from UV and keeps cockpit open to inside.

A lot of reviews and questions are about the size and make of the RV but it makes no difference. It only matters what the cab is, in my case an 07 3500 Chevy Express.

Finally after the third try I received the cover with the mirror cut outs. It is a very snug fit but appears to work just fine. Would be good if they showed which ones have the cut outs and which ones don’t it would make the ordering easier.

Returned product without opening. Advertised on web as fitting ford 450 from 2005 to present. Package said it was from 5005 to 2015.

This is my second cover. The other one lasted 4+ years, but provided us with a lot of protection from sunlight and gave us the privacy we wanted. It was an excellent upgrade from the fabric curtins that came with the RV.

The curtins were a pain to install and were unsightly. The RV cover installs from the outside and not the inside, which is a plus. Once you hook the corner to the door, you wrap it around the front and then hook up the other corner on the other door.

Slip the fabric under the wipers and latch the velcro under the side mirrors and your done. You’ll wonder how you ever got along with this product.

This is a great product. It fit our Class C Motorhome on a Ford E450 Chassis. The ends fit on the top of the Door and the bottom is held in place against the body with a magnet. It only takes about 2-3 minutes to put it on or take it off.

Fold it up, put it in the bag, load it in the RV. It has screened windows if you want to use them, but mostly we keep it enclosed. Keeps out the sunlight and gives you privacy. Much better than dealing with the curtains that came with the RV.

Windshield wipers fit right on top of the lower part and this helps to keep it in place. The vinyl cleans up nice. I thought the price was very reasonable.

This is my second windshield cover, and this one rocks! Fits perfectly both my large SUV and smaller car. Why I so excited about this product is because my first cover turned to be disaster – it would stick to the glass in winter, and when you peel it off, it leaves icy pattern that is nearly impossible to scrape.

Bought this for my wife as she struggles to scrape the front window of our Expedition in the winter. It goes on relatively easy and stays in place with a couple elastic straps and the windshield wipers.

It is bulky to store but a very useful item. Well worth the inconvenience.

I am surprised that your company even has this item for purchase! I ordered both front and back tarps and I am sending them back because they are very flimsy and cheap. They are not what they are said to be.

It is supposed to fit all cars which it doesn’t. And the magnets are not strong enough to hold in place. I have been buying from H&S for years and I have come to expect unparalleled quality in their product and these tarps should not be their catalog.

Size XL described as good for SUV. It is wide enough for my 2017 HONDA CR-V, but by height is covering only about 80% of windshield glass. Maybe it was designed for older models. Also I just realized (my fault) that it does not have pockets for side mirrors, which I had on my old cover.

And this is important to have them.

This item was supposed to be size XL. It just barely stretched the length of the windshield on my 2000 GMC truck. I had to repeatedly go from the drivers side to the passenger side to get it in place.

I own a cover from another company that I love. This item is plastic on one side and a felt like material on the other. I wasn’t at all satisfied with this item. Sorry for the bad review but I’m only being honest.

I hate scraping frost and it fits my f150 very well. I work nights in the midwest so it saves time and being out in the weather when I get off. The only drawback is having to drape it over something to dry when I get home.

Does not stay on windshield. if it’s windy it blows up and mine twisted around. Did not fit my CTS Cadillac or my suv windshield good at all. Very light weight material that does not stay down. Straps make it loose fitting and there is no way to secure it.

Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my sister and I. The first time we put them on our cars, mine blew up from the wind, folded over on itself, and the strap ripped from the side mirror. I thought it was because my windshield is smaller (MINI), but then the second time my sister used hers, the side mirror strap ripped on it as well.

I was looking for a Christmas gift to make my son and daughter’s life easier and knew these windshield covers would be very helpful to them when applied to the windshield the eve before an ice/snow storm was predicted.

Unfortunately I interpreted the “set of 2” to include a front AND back windshield cover so ordered 2 of them. Only when I received them did I realize “set of 2” meant 2 front only covers. These were not inexpensive so I returned them both and received an almost full refund from Sharper Image, no questions asked, fast, no loopholes.

I was skeptical at first, I went ahead and ordered my frost guard. It came with the PVC pipes put on the sides. I Purchased it for a Chevy Cruze. It has been snowing and today we are supposed to get 6 to 10 inches here in Nashville Illinois.

Need I say this was the best thing I have ordered in a long time. Was very easy to assemble, and remove. It fit like a glove. I was worried about raindrops on the windshield because I didn’t know if it would make the product freeze to the window.

So far that has not happened. I would highly recommend this frost guard for everyone that has to park their car outside. I don’t see why some people have given it a bad review. I like the idea of having the flaps inside the car or it cannot be stolen.

Again I highly recommend this Frost/ Snow Guard.

I bought this at Walmart to replace one i already had. The one I had previously had one security panel and two elastic straps. This lef to the straps freezing and becoming misshapen, thereby not holding the cover in place properly.

This one has been great, except for the fact that I live where it noy only gets frigid and snowy, but also blows 60mph frequently. I returned from being gone for two weeks for Christmas break, only to find that one of the security panels had ripped loose, leaving the cover hanging down beside my car and not covering my windshield.

I will see if I can resew it securely, otherwise I will replace it and see if I can make the place where the security panels are secured to the body of the cover atttached more securely.

Purchase this item to use with our SUV. Granted we live in an area that does not receive a lot of snowfall however we are prone to ice. We park our vehicles outside at home and at work and this has been a true Time Saver.

Nothing better than coming out to a vehicle taking this off the windshield and being ready to drive right away. If you encounter any snow or ice during the winter this is a must-have.

It was easy to put on and take off. It fits our Fusion almost perfectly side to side and great from top to bottom. We received just in time for our latest winter storm and it worked great! The storm consisted of ice and snow mix followed by single digit temps.

This windshield cover works wonders! Saves time on defrost and scraping and allows me to git the road immediately! Even works when its raining first and turns to ice later in the evening!

Heavy And Durable, But Needed Modification. This Had No Magnets To Hold It to The Hood Of The Of The Car. I Spent A Couple Bucks As A Small Disc Magnets Attached To The Bottom Edge Of The Cover With Crazy Glue And This Worked Really Well To Keep It From Flapping In The Breeze When The Wind Gets Strong.

Also The Mirror Covers Are Huge And Didn’t Stay On Very Well Until I Added A Couple Small Pieces Of Velcro So That You Can Close The Bottom Up After You Put Them Over The Mirrors. For An Additional Five Bucks I Made It A Very Functional Windshield Cover.

I hope it was just a fluke, but the elastic holding the mirror cover snapped the first time I used this. It worked splendidly on my Honda Civic at keeping the windshield and mirrors clean, but I was disappointed that it broke to say the least.

Not sure if I want to try again or use a different brand.

This worked as described. It was a blessing not to have to scrape my windshield and my wipers. Very sturdy and fit perfectly on my 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe. The fabric is sturdy and easy to install.

I never thought to use one of these covers as I didn’t know anything about them. I did alot of research online reading many reviews and chose this brand because of the great reviews. So far I like it.

We had our first official snowfall and high winds. I live about an hour north of Chicago and yesterday was a mini blizzard. I was able to put this cover on quite easily by myself even during the storm.

I am 5 ft 2 in. and about 118 lbs. and a very active 64 yr old. I have a Ford Escape 2014. I forgot about the security tabs that go in the door, but I live in a quiet neighborhood and I’m not worried about theft.

It seems very durable. The only problem was that the mirror covers were a little hard to get on. I first put the drivers side over the mirror with no problem and then I tried the passenger side and it was difficult.

At first I thought it wasn’t going to fit but it slipped over it. They really should adjust the fit about 1 inch or so for easier fitting over the mirrors. There is no way this cover would fit over a larger car because of the odd mirror pocket.

Attaching the straps to the tires was easy as the buckle moved easily to adjust length. Tomorrow I will take it off and see how that goes!.

I deliver the mail, and having an older vehicle that doesn’t heat up fast this cover is going to be a huge help. I love how it over laps the hood a bit covering the windshield wipers, and nicely around the mirrors.

My windshield is smaller, but the material is perfectly put so it slides on them. With the straps that are easy to adjust and put to the door and tire rims. This product is thick with vinyl underneath definitely water proof.

Delivered today so can’t speak much to durability other than fabric feels heavy duty. Installed in less than 5 minutes and expected to keep the leaves out of the drain grates below the windshield. Very easy to adjust straps for a custom fit.

Would recommend to those unable to park under a covered garage. Fingers crossed it’s easy to take off loaded with snow or ice.

The item did not fit my windshield at all. Tried to get it to stay but the wind blew it right off !!! I can’t use it. Lost money !!

Wind blows the fabric and it pulls the magnets away and exposes the glass to ice and moisture. I have got a few others magnets to secure the fabric. My own fix.

I looked all over the internet for a window cover like and everywhere it was available for much more. I found cheap ones but the reviews complain of the quality and fit. Because of that I was skeptical that this one was also cheap, but once it arrived it fit perfectly and felt robust.

Very happy I went with this one, was the right price and still of quality. Would be nice if they had a picture of a Sprinter instead of a ford to help with buyer confidence on what is being bought.

Wasn’t sure it would fit from reading reviews. Fit my 2006 Winnebago View perfectly. Will fit standard Sprinter van also. No complaints, fits well, fairly heavy materials. Maybe some day the wrinkles will come out of it from packaging.

Fits my class C like a glove. I would buy another if it got lost, stolen or damaged. Keeps the dog calm inside since he cant pull it away from the dash with it being outside. And lastly, The claims of keeping the unit cooler in the sun are correct.

Doors need to be open slightly to install, but they can be closed to removed. Installs and removes in seconds. We’ll see how it stands up for years to come, but I suspect I will have no problem.

Shut door. Fasten Velcro below the mirror. Adjust if necessary.

Keeps the sun out of the cab and provides privacy. There are some that do have screens. But. they won’t keep the sun off the dash. Then you need a different product. It needs more magnets. Colorado is a high wind area.

So, I’ll add some extra magnets to keep it in place.
