20 Best Winter Work Gloves (2022 Updated)

I measured my hand at a size 7 and they fit perfectly upon arrival. It’s December in New England and I do still get cold fingertips but the warmth on these is still the best I’ve found. I get a great grip on the pitchfork! Some difficulty swapping out hay baskets as the fingers aren’t small enough but that’s a small price to pay for having warm hands.

These are great fitting gloves. They do it all; from everyday barn chores to riding or whatever. They are quite warm and (so far) are very durable. The fact that they are leather (at least in part) makes them more breathable than other waterproof gloves.

Plus, I love the smell of leather! Overall, these are a great glove and worth the price. Fit is great; tight enough to make finger dexterity possible but not so snug as to be uncomfortable. I love the way leather conforms to create a comfortable fit.

For all of these reasons, these are now my favorite winter glove.

I bought these gloves for feeding in the winter on my way to work. I love the ribbed cuff, which hugs my slim wrists and keeps hay out of my sleeves, and the warm lining, which keeps my fingers from freezing while I’m working.

They fit well and I find I grab them out of my car when I’m feeding cows or doing work outside at home. A little pricey if you just look at the number, but they will last a long time. Not sure how waterproof, but haven’t had a problem yet.

Wouldn’t intentionally immerse them in a water tank, though. Would buy again.

I bought two pair of these sturdy gloves only to find years later both pair have stood the test of time like no other gloves I’ve ever owned. I do severe outdoor wood, tractor, farm and building work throughout our NH winters and I have no blemishes or tares in either pair.

Incredibly warm. Dexterity and longevity. And still going strong!!.

So far so good, construction is durable. I have not been able to feel the effect of assessing the in cold temps but the insulation is promising. I also like they are large, allows me the ability to layer.

I would definitely recommend to somebody who works outdoors I. E. cable installation. I use to do it and wish I had these gloves.

I move snow on my property from an open tractor…these gloves kept my hands warm at -10F. Hell yes, I recommend them.

i am a carpenter in minnesota and sometimes work outside doing framing / etc in very cold temps. i got these gloves a few years ago and they have become my go to throught the winter. they are grippy, have good dexterity, and above all they are warm! recently i worked several days in 0°f temps and was fine with just these on while active.

when its windy or colder, or im more sedentary, i put on a wool glove liner under them and this works great, still pretty good dexterity but a fair bit warmer. get a few pairs, they are inexpensive and do wear out eventually (last reasonably long though).

These Ergodyne ProFlex 7401 winter gloves fit well and allow good dexterity and good grip. They are comfortable and fairly warm. Great for all sorts of cold weather activities and tasks. They offer great value and I’d buy them again.

These ProFlex 7401 work gloves are super for working outside in cooler weather. The lining is breathable and provides light warmth and the coated palms are protective, flexible, and grippy. The gloves are machine washable.

A great value. (Note: they seem to run a bit large. ).

The gloves are so comfortable. Dexterity is high. These are warm down to 21 degrees and then below that or with a windchill or as we had freezing rain for an entire day the fingers began to freeze painfully so.

Once the temperature rose above 40 my hands sweat in these and then the sweat would get cold to a stiff fingers degree. I would recommend these to anyone in construction or working outdoors in 20-40 degree weather.

I work 9 hr days from literal dawn outside. These have been a great asset and would recommend these to anyone. Other guys I work with have Carrhart Winter Gloves but the dexterity isn’t as great and get as cold and hot as these do.

The one major flaw is the lack of wrist coverage. So working in freezing wet and high winds may not be suitable for these gloves.

I was working working as a ramp agent at an airport in Minnesota. I tried various types of gloves and glove/liner combos with no success. Some were too bulky for handling semi delicate tasks, soMe were not warm enough, some were not waterproof, etc.

These are the gloves that solved all my cold-hand problems. almost. I coupled these with some thin polypropylene glove liners and never looked back. Snowy, icy, blizzard, slushy, these held up. They were warm and waterproof.

When the temp dropped below zero (-10 to -30) and the wind picked up soMe timea my fingers would get cold. But, we would keep disposable or zippo hand warmers in our pockets, warm up our fingers every 15-30 minutes and keep plugging.

I am a fan of these gloves! That’s why I am buying another pair even though I do t work at the airport anymore.

My hands are always cold from working outside in the tow truck industry. Hard to get on and off when going in and out of customers cars so you don’t get their cars oily or greasy from having to hook the cars up, and from cleaning an accident scene.

The exterior of the glove is extremely durable, and my hands stay dry, which is a HUGE plus. The inside liner, however, comes out with your hand, so you have to try to put your hand in the same way it came out so the liner doesn’t get bunched up in the fingertips, that eats up time.

Time sometimes is very limited and you have angry State Patrol and traffic breathing down your neck to free up the roadway. Perhaps offering a glove with 100 grams or more Thinsulate, and offering an open wrist for easier access and removal.

With the lining attached somehow in the fingertips to prevent coming out with your hand as you take your glove off. The gloves are good for weather in the 50 to low 20’s at best. Nothing below the 20’s or there is a good chance your hands will get cold.

Very warm, good dexterity, high visibility is good for signaling and easy too find. I got the 2X because big hands (using a tape measure wrapped around my knuckles is about 9. 5 inches) I suggest ordering 1 size larger than you think you need.

I am totally satisfied with mine.

I wear these gloves when I go running and they are great. I wore them the other day when the temperature was 21 degrees and the humidity was 100 percent and they kept my hands nice and toasty. The reflective material also makes sure that I am seen by those motorists who are busy talking on their cell phones and texting.

Durable. Warm. Comfortable. Excellent gripping surfaces. Purchased and used lined cut A4+ gloves from other places. All had issues by the third work day. Lining coming out, dorsal protection coming off, etc.

No these. Been in continuous use for two weeks and after 7 days the grip surface does begin to “come off” in places but this brand has so far been the most durable and comfortable of the four “major” brands i have used.

It’s definitely a warm glove and very durable. It’s not waterproof or resistant at all, but it’ll keep your hands protected and warm any other day. Dries quickly if it does get wet and doesn’t stink like other gloves when they get wet.

Great for cold days, just not rainy or snowy days.

These are definitely warmer than the non-insulated version, but I would rate them down to about 25 degrees at absolute best. They are not remotely water/snow resistant becoming saturated rather quickly and they do little to block the wind.

They give good tactile control for an insulated glove. Picking up small objects and writing is not as difficult as with an insulated leather glove. For someone requiring the cut and impact protection in cool weather, they are a pretty good option.

I bought these for my husband to replace an identical pair that had eventually after many years worn out. They arrived before the due date, well packaged and as expected. They are excellent gloves at a very good price.

I would recommend them and the company and wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again.

Eh, they’re alright. They don’t fit snuggly enough around the wrist. I almost fell coming down a ladder the first time I used them because the grip was so sticky that they grabbed securely to the rung but then my hand slipped right out because of the warm-material inside.

I guess they’re warm enough. I work on airplanes outside and I still have to use heater packs while out there.

These are warm and the coating is watetproof. I use them for outdoor construction. They won’t last forever but if you take care of them they will last a while.

I’ve been using these as fueling gloves (I’m a truck driver) for several years now because they just perform better than the non-insulated version. I buy them one size larger so they slip on and off easily.

They keep your hands warm when cold out, but not too warm in the heat for the few minutes it takes to fuel up. I think this is my third order for these and never a hitch. have them in just a few days and for a good price.

I drive a truck and have been using these gloves for years, mainly for fueling. I buy them one size larger so they slip off easily to keep any fueling mess to a minimum. And I use them year round; if you don’t keep them on too long in hot weather your hands don’t sweat.

Have ordered these twice from Blain’s and received both orders promptly without issue. I ordered two pair this time in case W/L discontinues them, which is my luck with anything I find that I like.

I have a very old “Large” pair of these which are great but worn out so I ordered these online. These “Large” were very tight to put on and turned out to be much smaller overall. I bought different pair of Wells Lamont gloves on this order and they are fine.

Moral is that gloves should be tried in store before purchase.

These are XXL, but seem about the same as the XL that I bought at Lowe’s. I was so hoping XXL would be easy on easy off, but no difference. Once on, it’s a very good glove, and seems to keep my hands warm with that wetsuit like material they use.

But to try taking them off- it’s difficult. Then more difficult to get back on again. My bad- big hands is what I got.

I wish these were sold year around. Hands down my favorite winter glove.

Best Cold Weather Work Gloves EVER!!! These gloves are a perfect fit and they allow complete control of the fingers. This is where the saying “Fits like a glove” came from.

I’m in Minnesota and bought these for their “Extreme Cold” performance. Do not buy these for temperatures below zero. They provide no warmth. Very disappointed. I called to request the “Extreme Cold” title be changed.

I see it has not. Buyer beware.

These are the only pair I’ve tried so far. They are so much better at keeping my fingerstips warm. And have not torn yet. And I’ve had some things catch the rubber already but it held!!! Thank you!

These gloves have succeeded my expectations in – temperatures. Just have a couple pair for the day- your hands do sweat in them.

Hard to gauge how “good” they are “long” term but for one winter season i used them and i worked a lot outdoors, i do a combo of this cut resistant gloves and hand warmers and i am good to go. Bought a second pair the following year and they are good to confy on the inside and warm enough, i always pop in handwarmers.

I got them quite wet with my work over the weekend but i have them drying in my boot dryer, if they dry them well i think they still have some life.

I’m on my third pair and I would call these COOL weather gloves, not cold weather. Below ~20degs my fingers begin to ache. And if I’m on the ATV, I may as well just amputate my throttle thumb. So mostly use these in spring and fall.

The hydrahyde seems to be water resistant as advertised, but I’ve also found the suede doesn’t hold up to barbed wire well so water ends up finding plenty of ways in. I’ve seen these priced >$30. no way.

But if you can pick these up in the $20 range, and don’t expect too much of them, they’re better than bare hands or tearing up more expensive gloves on nasty jobs.

My old gloves are the same Large 1196, & had a Thinsulate tag that said 100 gram. These gloves that I ordered only say 60-100 gms of Thinsulate, @ the same tag location as my old pair. They are the same cow hide but less insulation for sure, lighter and not as warm.

I paid almost retail price to get these, on eBay, as they haven’t come out on the local store shelves yet where I live. Just be aware they are NOT as warm, probably 60 grams of thinsulate. Knockoff?.

I typically wear XL golf gloves so I purchased both the XL and XXL mittens. Although the XL fits I prefer the XXL as it’s more roomy and keeps my hands warm the entire time I am out in very cold weather.

I’m also a former bowhunter and would purchase boots a couple sizes up from my usual to stay warm for hours. Larger sizes allow your blood to flow more freely keeping your extremities warmer. This is the warmest pair of mittens I’ve ever owned.

When in doubt go big!.

Inside liner stuck to my fingers as I removed my hands from the gloves and separated from the outside shell. Now the fingers are all bunched up and I can’t get my hands back in after the third time using them for light shoveling.

Would not recommend this product to anyone expecting to use the gloves more than three times. Surprisingly low-quality construction.

I just purchased these gloves from Home Depot. I am a groundskeeper at an elementary school and these gloves seemed like just what I was looking for. They’re not. They’ll keep your hands dry but there is nothing “thermal” about them.

My fingertips were cold and numb as of o had t had any gloves on. Oh well, back to the bulky gloves. And back to Home Depot to return these.

Absolutely H-U-G-E !!! I usually wear a Large Size glove, so I ordered Large – they were gigantic! So. I returned those and ordered Medium. Still enormous. I can’t find these in a store, so ordering is trial and error.

I think the medium size will need to be returned as well. Nicely made, but the sizing on these gloves is totally disproportionate to the average human adult male. What a total hassle =(.

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVED them; until my husband stole them and when I asked for them back he said “I thought you got them for me. And I said, no I didn’t give them to you because when I showed them to you, you said you already had a pair like them.

” BOTTOM LINE: We are a Carhart family everyday:):):) Oh. I ordered the medium men’s because I have my dad’s big hands??. But next time men’s small would fit me perfect!!.

Not a good glove for regular car driving. More of a work glove for driving big trucks and machinery. Good quality, tough glove and value for the money. I don’t think it’s the deer or goat skin insulated driving glove I thought it’d be.

They are too clumsy to really use as work gloves. They are thick and stiff. They are warm and would work fine for shoveling snow but not so well for delicate task.

Working outside during this cold snap and tried these gloves. Very warm and easy to handle tools or eqpt as needed. They run a size bigger than expected but not a deal breaker. Extended cuff and velcro keep out wind, snow, or debris.

Extra padding/reinforced area on palm should extend useful life of these gloves. An excellent product!.

Seems like a great pair of gloves. They run small though. I always ( except this time ) wear medium sized gloves but I should have measured my self and gotten a large pair.

These cold condition waterproof gloves were replacements for the youngstown waterproof insulated gloves that were just to bulky for my work. These Ironclad gloves have been everything I have come to expect from Ironclad products.

They are Warm and comfortable allowing me to do small tasks in my job. I have worn them outside for extended periods of time in 10 degree weather with great protection from the elements, the waterproof layer keeps the wind out and with the combination of the insulation layer makes this gloves the perfect one for me.

Ironclad gloves have been the best gloves I have used. I have used them for years. For alot of people they may look expensive but they will last 2 to 3 times longer than other brand gloves making them a very good value.

The only thing I would recommend to others is to buy one size larger than you would normaly use as there sizing of gloves run a little smaller than the sizing they use. XL size gloves are L for alot of other brands I have used.

I have only used FULL Source once but they gave very good service and I will use them in the near furture again.

I don’t know yet. Hopefully a glove to keep my hands warm and dry without being bulky

These gloves get the job done even though they’re a little too thin for me. They keep my hands warm during the cold nights on the air ramp. You really can’t go wrong with the Mechanix Wear brand!

The cold weather gloves do not fit like the regular mechanics gloves, I buy the regular mechanics gloves in a large but these are too small:(

I work in a bakery and am required to spend time in a freezer sorting dough. It doesn’t take but a few minutes for my fingers to get so cold they become painful. The gloves I purchased keep my hands and fingers warm while allowing me the flexibility to handle small product.

I am well pleased with them. I highly recommend this product.

#sweepstakes BEST work glove I have found for the winter. Great for all outdoor work but THE BEST for cutting wood, splitting wood, all yard work. One pair usually lasts me two winters in heavy work.

Use for light work and dog walking. They seem as though they would be durable, but they’re not very warm. Low 30’s leave one’s finger tips quite cold. Since I always lose one glove I bought 2 pairs. They are inexpensive enough so that losing one isn’t that big a deal.

We were trying to find a glove comparable to a different brand we used to purchase. We found these Polar Penguin gloves and they’re exactly what we were looking for! They keep your hands warm and dry and our employees love using them when they’re working outside or plowing snow.

Too big for my hands. I am 5’1” female dock workers. finding gloves that fit me and keeps my hands warm is a struggle. I gifted these to one of my coworkers he said they work very well for him fit perfect.

The 3396 gloves, Arctic fleece hat and AH3011 Arctic hat are Great items for extreme cold condition to keep hands and your head protected!!
