15 Best Wire For Clouds (2022 Updated)

I gave all yes on this but with caveats. This is the same wire sold at craft stores and the quality has declined in the last year or so. It’s quite soft. While it does hold okay when twisted, it is not high quality stuff.

Heavy items will not hold well with it. Otherwise it’s fine. The color is decent and the look is consistent. But definitely softer than it used to be. This goes for all the colors too. Silver and gold are also softer than they once were.

I have used this wire for years and, unfortunately, they have changed it and the new product is awful. I formerly used the brass and copper versions of this wire and it was pure metal. The new versions are silver colored wire with only a colored coating.

Unfortunately, if you use it for wire wrapping, and especially with the finer gauges, the color coating peels off as you work with it. So, as you get farther along with your weaving, the coating starts peeling off and your work is now two-toned, AKA Total Waste of Money, Time and Effort.

(I’m certain the pieces I made with it would have looked even worse after wear also. ) I stock up wire as I do a lot of wire wrapping so I’m stuck with several spools that I can’t use. Note: The silver-colored wire is evenly silver colored.

It’s just the “Gold” and “Rose Gold” colors that I had a problem with.

Yea, I Have been using silver and gold wire to make jewelry like bracelets rings earrings. It’s it’s amazing all the things you could do with wire. I visit the store every three days because I ran out of the wire so fast The crystals that I also buy are amazing.

Quality product at a terrific price. I bought this identical product at a well known building supply store for $37. When I ran out of this product while doing a home upgrade, my wife found the same product online at Wal-Mart for half the price.

I’ll check Wal-Mart first the next time I need building supplies!!.

It’s pretty difficult for a manufacturer to screw this heavily regulated building product up. Electrical wire, cable, whatever you want to call it. When installed correctly, (and to local building codes), this product will reliably provide you with the means to deliver upto 15 amps of electricity for decades to come.

Wire is of good quality but the packaging is first class. When I first opened the package wire coils it appear as they were taped closed but it was not tape and very easy to remove. This is first class.

This was a very good buy. Using the wire in some vintage radio and test equipment restorations. The spools came set in the box as shown, just had to thread each wire through the hole and it is good to go!.

The copper wire is great quality, and it came to my house in no time at all, even during a Christmas rush. I’m happy with the purchase!

I am using it to create copper leaf (bought copper sheets also) garlands.

This copper wire is vary high quality and has a rather unique tangle prevention system. The end result is a frustration free use.

The color is great but this wire smells

If you’re looking for good silicone coated multi-stranded wire this is the stuff for you. Absolutely Excelent Quality. The wire is very thin, flexible, and durable, making it perfect for any demanding project.

10/10 would buy again.

This product works in terms of being nichrome wire. The part that I had a problem with was that the coil on this was impressively bad. The wire was wrapped too tightly around the bobbin so that when you unhooked the wire, it exploded off the bobbin and it was impossible to put it back on the same way that it was.

This leaves you with a coiled up and kinked wire mess. Additionally, a real data sheet would be very helpful. Overall, I wish that I would have gone with a different brand because this wire was very hard to work with and not worth your time to try to fight with.

Using nickel mesh electrodes for hydrogen-oxygen electrolysis means you cannot allow copper conductors to touch the electrolysis solution, to prevent galvanic corrosion. But nickel mesh is expensive so you want to keep it submerged totally.

Plus, water can splash from bubbles. Solution? Pure nickel wire. It only conducts about 1/3 as well as pure copper, so braid it a bunch to build up a thicker cable before spot-welding it to your electrodes, but it definitely does work and does not appear to corrode.

Nickel is very stable for alkaline electrolysis. If you are making a small unit, this wire itself can be used as an electrode.

Seriously, It’s Kanthal and Cotton. A great combination! It goes along great with a little bit of VG, and to a lesser degree, PG. If you get this Kanthal and Cotton combo pack, expect to have your head in the clouds, but be sure to wet it with one or both of the above, or it will smell like poo.

Burnt poo at that. This particular pack of Kanthal comes in a size that is a little smaller than 24 AWG, but a little larger than 28 AWG. I didn’t use my expensive micrometers to measure it, but I did compare, and it’s right in the middle between the other mentioned sizes.

It’s a great fit in my device, and I have no issues making small clouds that fill my living space with wonderful fruity flavors. For a great price, you get more Kanthal than you can use in a day, and 20 cotton squares that should last a while.

I’ve got no other brand of Kanthal to compare this to, but I’ve used three different sizes of their wire, and I must say, they may actually be Masters of Clouds, just as the package says! P. S. If you get a funny taste from this Kanthal and Cotton, you should have washed your hands before handling.

I had been searching for the best framing wire to wire up canvas paintings recently. After looking around for a bit, and using this once, I purchased quite a bit of the 30-lb wire, assuming it was at the top of its class.

This coated wire is nice, definitely, in that the coating makes it easy to work with (won’t cut your hands, feels smooth, etc). but, it does indeed unwind easier than un-coated wire, as you might suspect.

Is it truly a fairy tale wish to have a smooth coated wire that ties and stays wound just as an un-coated wire? Maybe. I suppose you cannot have the best of both worlds, simultaneously. HOWEVER, I will certainly note that during my search, I have come across a different competitor’s coated hanging wire which is much, much better in this department.

So unfortunately, “OOK Framer’s Pro Wire” has lost the battle, as it unwinds easier. I had about 5 rolls of this stuff, which I threw away. I can’t name the competitor, per these review guidelines. so good luck on your search!.

I’ve wired canvases in art school with the non-coated wire, and that wire is starting to fall apart. The coating on this wire preserves it, and I’ve had items framed with coated wire that have been hanging strong for over a decade.

If you buy this in brick and morter Michaels stores, I recommend talking to a custom framer about tips on using wire for framing and wrapping techniques to keep your piece hanging strong for years to come!.

The picture wire is excellent for pictures and for your wall. The wire does not damage your wall. It is great on holding picture weights of various pounds. It is easy to use.

As a bass fisherman I use a lot of this product to add a little weight to crankbaits and jerkbaits. I’ll never use suspend dots again! Just wrap a little lead wire around the treble hooks. Wet or dry, doesn’t matter.

Very easy to make tiny weight adjustments by snipping off excess lead.

Used this string back in the day with full setup. Never let me down. Nice on the arm. Plenty of power with control. Go back to it in a hybrid set up. Putting it the crosses with poly in mains, when arm a bit fatigued with all poly regular setup.

As a certified racquet stringer I have been stringing my own racquets with Gamma Gut Pro 17g for over 20 years. I mainly play on clay courts, rarely break strings and never had any elbow injuries. This synthetic is forgiving, flexible and plays almost like gut.

Been using tnt2 for a few years, back when it was just tnt. Good solid core multi for the price. Nice power, good touch,good control, soft on your arm and decent spin for a multi. Started using it when i had some arm issues.

Good transition string coming out of poly. Solid core gives it a crisp playability, so its not “to” soft or springy like some multis. i get really good durability out of the 16ga. I string one racquet with poly which I play with 75% of the time, and 16ga tnt2 in the my other racquet for when I need a little more zip on the ball.

I bought one of these leaders to use on pike during a trip to Alaska. After about an hour of fishing, the metal snap self-destructed. I’m generally a fan of Rio products but this one needs redesigned.

I’ve found that the leaders are invaluable when fishing for Stripers in inshore waters underneath and along side schools of Blues. The fine wire does not inhibit the Stripers from striking and prevents the loss of valuable flies when the Blues do take the fly before it gets down to the Stripers.

Great ear wires for those who are allergic to nickel. My ears swell even with many silver wires because there is a small amount often in the wires. I can wear these and my ears do not itch or swell. They are beautiful and look great with the earrings I make.

These wires arrived promptly, and match description. They are beautiful, but I had an allergic reaction to them. Will pass them on to someone else who likes pretty wires.

I ordered a Mystery box along with my order for some wire. I was a little hesitant that this was a gimmick to move some items that were gathering dust, but was pleasantly surprised that the box contained items I regularly use, or items that I am sure I would use in the near future.

There was a chartreuse color theme to some of the items, but that is not an issue for me and I look forward to trying out some of the new products. All in all, I was quite pleased with the Mystery Bos items and would consider going on the regular order option.

Excellent. I had trouble finding this size, but Togens has it! Great for ribbing on very small flies.
