20 Best Wire Frame Glasses (2022 Updated)

I bought frames DesignerOptics online store and it was a very good experience. There was enough information about the frame to perfectly match the size and fit I was looking for and the pictures were very accurate.

The frames were in perfect condition when received, the price was very reasonable compared to local outfits, and shipping time was pretty fast. I’m happy with the experience and would purchase again.

Ok, first things first: I look SO CUTE in these glasses! Do they block out blue light? Yes. Does my head feel better and more clear because more blue light is getting filtered out? Yes. Am I able to more sanely handle screen-time for work AND social interactions now because everybody is stuck at home? Yes.

But most blue light glasses can help me with all that. Because these glasses are cute and I feel cute in them, I’m more likely to wear them. And it’s awesome that I can feel cute while doing something that’s helpful for my eyes and mental / emotional wellbeing.

I’m gonna be straight forward and say that these glasses aren’t exactly like what is shown on the models. They are not as big or wide. I do really like them though. The quality as far as that goes, is great.

They’re really cute even though, as I said, they are a lot narrower than I had expected. If you have a more narrow face, I definitely recommend these. I wish the photos advertised were more accurate or showed how they look on different shaped faces.

Love how light and clear this pair of glasses is! My eyes feel so good even after a day of being on the computer with these babies on. Also, makes me feel like I’m Harry Potter so that’s a plus. Overall, super excited and blessed with these glasses.

Generally OK but would need some tweaking to make it fit well. As it is the nose pads are a little too narrow.I hesitate to try bending them outward in case they break.

I loved the shape and size of the frames but the shiny gold is really SHINY! Between the reflective glare on the lenses and how shiny the frames were, I ended up returning. Next time I’ll make sure to add the anti-reflective coating and look for more of a matte/satin finish frame.

If you are looking for shiny though, they are cute, just get the anti-glare/anti-reflective coating!.

The look is soft and feminine. Frame is thin sturdy. Very lightweight and comfortable. Overall quality is excellent.

Used ‘Clearly’ for the 2nd time now. My Rx NV and DV glasses with basic lenses arrived no problem. Chose this frame for my DV glasses. Never had this brand before and chose it after, as usual long deliberation, for this particular brand name, what it looked like, color and it looked it may fit me very well.

Easy try on option is a bonus compare to other on line sites. No problem with payment , delivery or lenses. Frame actually fits me very well and I love it. Could only effort basic lenses, maybe some advanced lens discount could be arranged for steady customers, at least sun darkening lenses :).

Will advise ‘Clearly’ for customers who seek brand names for discounted price. But options of not brand frames looked very nice to me as well and may be a good offer for customers who seek just nice decent frames, was tempted myself.

When using web site noticed, that after coming back from looking at specific frame to choices page, it always went back to the beginning of that page rather than where it was, maybe some code lines can be fixed to preserve continuity of search or it was just the glitch.

Glasses came in early as predicted which was great. Frames were tight but adjusted and fits great. However the lenses after cleaning for two weeks is starting to show scratchs. I have other pairs of glasses that show scratchs after 1 year but these so called scratch resistant lenses are horrible.

I have been cleaning eye glasses for along time but my last 2 pairs from Clearly and the lenses have been absolutely the worst. They show scratches after 2 weeks. Next time I will shop somewhere else.

Ordering was easy. My glasses came as expected and I even got a case, lenses solution mini spray bottle, and lint free wipe with my purchase for free. Price was literally less than a third of LenseCrafters.

Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the shipping delay. My glasses took about 2+ weeks to ship, but I’m sure that may be the case elsewhere too. idk. Overall, I am very happy with my glasses.

This is the first blue light blocking glasses I bought. It’s awesome that it’s also readers. I had another one in my bag, but it didn’t have great reviews. This one does really does the job…and it looks great.

Will buy another pair for use when I travel.

I am giving the glasses 5 stars for color only. The reason is your glasses are often not wide enough for my face which makes for being so uncomfortable. Please consider some redesign to accommodate faces that are not only very narrow.

Honestly didn’t think it would make much of a difference, but as a teacher having to do distance learning and staring at a computer for hours, my eyes were so strained. I was getting headaches every day.

Smaller size on my (“type/name” fit oakley used to make/offer) face great. Lightweight, stylish, bigger sight window. Dont feel like im looking over the top of the rim, like with crosslink 0.5.

Oakley wire tap 2.0 frames are great! Prescription was perfect and whole process was very easy! The best thing of all was the super low price! Would buy from again!

The glasses looked great and fit my 9 (almost 10) year old perfectly. Unfortunately, one of the stems broke off the first time he put them on. I had to hot glue it back together so he could wear them with his Harry Potter costume.

Disappointed that they barely made it out of the box before they broke.

These are the coolest! My daughter loves them. They aren’t as thin as the real Harry Potter glasses but they look so dang close. Super good in price and yet so sturdy.

These are still really inexpensive, but they are a step up and would be a great compliment to a HP costume.

First set I ordered, noticed within a week that the right arm was not solid (like the left), flimsy and clicking when handled. Very disappointed for a $177 set of designer frames, so sent back for replacement.

Replacement was even worse as BOTH arms flimsy, not solid. Felt like cheap $5 pair. Clearly built in China as said on them, with poor quality control. Love Armani clothes, but will never buy their glasses again after this.

After work, I switch to these. The transitioning works great, isn’t even noticeable. The enhanced reading area makes these an ease to adjust to. The frames however, seem slightly loose? Like very able to break.

Perhaps it is designed in to allow for falling asleep with them on, I’ve done that a few times already, and they are still intact. The clean coat makes it very easy to wipe. but it seems I need to clean them alot, for clear vision.

I don’t know why, as this wasn’t a problem before I switched to multi focal. Perhaps that’s the change. Overall, I like them. Bold and noticeable for my taste, but the overall seems to get favorable comments.

Frame arms are tight in the back of the head and leaves rub marks, uncomfortable. Given my recent orders this is the first one I am not satisfied with. Had I tried them on in a store I would not have bought them.

I splurged on a pair of these a while back and was devastated when a pet broke them. I’m so happy to find a replacement here since my optician still carries them but at 3X the price! Ordered and they were delivered quickly so I’m back in business.

Thanks for carrying these, and for anyone looking for them buy these frames, you won’t regret it! I will add I did take them back to my optician to adjust the sides of the glasses because right out of the package they would slip off my face if I bent forward, but after adjustment they are now a perfect solid fit.

Excellent quality! I broke the exact frame in te center of nose piece during work when I accidentally stepped on them. As a nurse it was important to get the lenses into the same frame ASAP! But, my optical clinic couldn’t find the same Tiffany Frame.

I’m really impressed with my glasses from Designer Optics. I did try my frames on at a retail store before ordering here, so I knew exactly how they would fit and which size to order. They did a fantastic job on my progressive lenses – and it is not an easy cookie cutter prescription.

I saved a lot of money too on my Tiffany Frames. All I can say is it would have been a bit easier if they had an app for measuring pupil distance, but I was able to download an app from the iTunes store.

Will definitely purchase from Designer Optics again! Very pleased!.

I am very disappointed by these blue light blocker glasses and company. I had a cheap pair of blue blockers from another company that I did not love and decided to spend a little more on a pair from WearMe Pro.

However, I thought for the price they would last much longer. After only a couple months, I was sitting at my computer and all of the sudden the frame broke and the glass fell out without me even touching them.

I reached out to the company and they said there was nothing they could do for me. I am very disappointed and would not recommend.

I absolutely LOVE these glasses! They fit perfectly and are adorable! They are very comfortable, the only downside are the metal sides. But I ordered eyeglass temple cushions from amazon for them. Other than that these glasses are PERFECT! I am absolutely recommending them to friends and family! I suffer from headaches and migraines.

So far I have not had one while using the glasses, and I do notice a difference looking at a screen with and without the glasses. I will use these forever! I bought the tortoise colored ones!.

I love these glasses!! My biggest complaint would be the wire hurts the side of my head after wearing them all day. I usually switch to a different pair mid day to avoid this. But, I get a lot of compliments when wearing this pair and they’d be great for someone who isn’t on the computer all day.

I love the clubmaster style – I think of all the styles the Clubmaster and Aviator look best on me. With these in particular, I like that the arms feel sturdy and not like I’m going to break them. I wish my aviators were more like that.

Also, I wanna say, I do like that these clubmasters are non-polarized. I don’t know why, but I just feel like I like polarized sunglasses more. They’re great overall.

I purchased the Clubmaster sunglasses for my son. He loves the classic look, but wanted an updated color scheme and went for the black on black. They fit well, but the black paint began to chip just a couple of months after we purchased them, so the black painted glasses may not be the most durable color option.

The glasses look pretty cool, however, they are a bit heavy on my face. I think they will be a bit irritating wearing them all day due to the weight. This company has loooong processing time. It took over 16 days to ship out.

Nice frame, looks great. Lenses were done very well, I can see perfectly out of both. Only issue were the ear pieces, they’re a bit odd, and required a fit adjustment.

In regards to the previous commenter, I am definitely an adult, and these glasses fit me beautifully. I had my first pair for three years, I take care of them and they’ve held up great. I just had my prescription updated, and I liked this pair so much I repurchased them.

Love these glasses! It’s hard to find small frames especially in designer frames. I hope so see more smaller frames in the future.

I was skeptical ordering online, but Cleary got it perfect! I was so mad when someone lifted by glasses that I had like these when I went to the men’s room at a restaurant. Ray-Ban is my favorite eyewear company for both eyeglasses and sunglasses. The company has a long and interesting history. As such, their eyewear has been mastered throughout the years in terms of both quality and style.

I have owned many pairs of Ray-Ban eyewear and find the materials to be durable. To date, I have never had a Ray-Ban product break. The company has an abundant amount of eyewear available in various styles and colors and most products can be customized.

My favorite Ray-Ban products include their Aviator Sunglasses and Erika Optics Eyeglasses. The pricepoint is higher than competitors but it is still fair, and the products do last a long time if properly taken care of.

The only downside associated with the brand is that it was bought by Luxottica Group in 1999 and currently, Luxottica Group’s Customer Service is inadequate. I recently purchased a pair of sunglasses and received a used pair that was smeared and dirty.

It was a fight to get them to accept a return despite the fact that I had not gotten what I paid for (a brand-new pair of sunglasses) and it took them nearly a month to ship out another pair. Upon receipt of the second pair, I realized that the sunglasses were in worse condition than the first and, to my horror, had hair stuck in the frames.

My concern was not handled professionally as I was originally denied a return and refund. Eventually, upon threatening to file a dispute with my credit card company, I was able to send the sunglasses back for a second time.

Not surprisingly, I did not receive my refund until one month later despite Luxottica Group being in receipt of them. I understand that financial losses due to returns of goods is becoming a problem for companies, but from an ethical standpoint, returned goods should not be sold to consumers at full price without disclosure.

This is especially true for eyewear as diseases can easily spread. (Additionally, given the amount of inauthentic Ray-Ban products being produced and sold, a dishonest customer could easily purchase an authentic pair from the website and switch it out with an inauthentic pair.

I have had these glasses for about two or three weeks now and for the most part, I love them. I knew that I wanted these frames before I even got my prescription. Everything about these frames scream style and class, and as a law student, I feel that they have a very professional look.

However, I’m over six feet tall, and the short temples (long plastic piece that hooks over ears) have started to cause some discomfort. I may take them back as I am within my 30-day window at LensCrafters.

I would think that for such a longstanding, high-priced brand like Ray Ban, that longer temple pieces would be available. It would be much more accommodating to big and tall customers to offer not only longer temples, but also variations in pupillary distance to accommodate wider heads as well.

As aforesaid, I LOVE the look of these glasses, but the discomfort is beginning to maybe be a little too much for the trade off. Ray Ban, if you read this, PLEASE consider at least adding an option for longer temples and/or longer pupillary distances in order to be more accommodating to big and tall customers.

You would have a lifelong customer in me if so.

Definitely like the style and lightness. My only drawback is how soft the temple springs are. So they will comfortably accommodate a wide head/face, they don’t do great when you rotate them 90 degrees to keep on top of your head.

I have a pair of metal Holbrooks and they are nice and tight even when stowed in the upright position on top of my head. Other than that minor gripe, I really like these! It’s a welcome refresh from the Wire of years ago! Also, I find these comfy enough (and thin enough) to wear in my full face moto helmet.

Didn’t expect that but it’s great!.

I got these to use while driving the hospital shuttle around. I love the metal frame and how sleek and sturdy they feel. The lenses are fine but if I had to be honest I should have gone with the polarized iridium lenses.

They provide awesome shade but not as good on glare ice/water as my OG Wiretaps with iridium lenses. But with the price I paid for these I almost hate myself for taking the chances on different lenses.

Lesson learn I guess.

Nice crossover for sport or life-style. The curved lens keeps side light out. The deep water blue lens is perfect sunny days, and the prism road is great for cloudier days and trail running. For more extreme activity, I prefer the lighter weight flak, but these look better on me in more casual situations.

MABUHAY progressive glasses are super cool and great if you need to wear reading glasses inside in dark places. I’m a bartender so they work great during my late night shifts in a dimly lite bar. They are light weight so you forget that you have them on.

I will most likely buy another pair in another color. My favorite CADDIS frame is NEPETALACTONE. I purchases PEARL. I would 100% buy more of them if they made them in some different colors besides black and grey, such as translucent baby blue- translucent green and in a light gold dust color.

Just something to consider my CADDIS CLAN!.

First off, I LOVE the style but these progressives just didn’t work for me. I wish they had. I ordered made-to-order with clear lenses. The lenses were so yellow (everything I looked at was yellow) and maybe it’s because of the progressive but they were tough to look through and seemed to distort my far vision.

The reader portion was so tiny and low in the frame and seemed to be in different places on each lens so I couldn’t line up both eyes to read anything. Thankful to be able to exchange them for regular readers, though not as convenient as a progressive, with blue lenses (hoping it counteracts the blue light filtering yellow).

Fingers crossed.

I purchased these glasses on a visit to NYC from Idaho, my daughter has a pair and they are gorgeous on her. Unfortunately I left for home the following day and found to my disappointment I can not adjust to the progressives.

I left the box they came in at the store, (I had a small travel bag that was carry on) so returning the clerk told me is not possible! These are expensive glasses, beautifully made, but now sit unused.

What a disappointment. Should you allow an exchange for non progressives I’d be happy to box up appropriately and forward by mail. I’d appreciate a response!.

This is my second pair of Caddis glasses and I couldn’t be happier. I have a slight stigmatism in one eye, and even so, I MUCH prefer these outta the box to my expensive prescription glasses! They’re more comfortable, block the blue light SO well, and these guys just don’t scratch! How? I beat the cr*p out of my Mabuhay gold rose readers working on a ladder, painting a house for a month.

Any other glasses would’ve been completely destroyed, and those are only a little scratched! There’s no beating the quality, or the customer service! I get tons of compliments and want to try the Metamodernist Scout next.

One dream request: please PLEASE make the Mabuhay in an extra large! I looove the Gloria Steinem size. I have large melon, and always want something a little bit bigger/wider. Caddis customer for life!.

Still within the first few weeks of them. I genuinely love the style of these progressive frames. However, my eyes are still adjusting to them, (which seems to be beyond the typical adjustment period).

One issue I am having is that they are causing me to have double vision while driving at night. I notice there is a double reflection of lights which is a lot considering. I’m hoping that there is a remedy for this.

I received my Hooper glasses today and I can not believe what I’m holding in my hand. I paid $159 for these things. One hundred and fifty nine dollars!! What I got in the mail looks like something a reasonable person could expect to pay less than $20 for.

Cheap. Plastic. Unsubstantial. I feel completely ridiculous, duped, ripped off. The marketing, the copy, the photography was so cool, and I was super excited to make my first purchase from Caddis, but this was a monumental disappointment.

I ordered a pair of readers from eyebobs. com the same week, and those glasses are much more substantial. Oh, well. Lesson learned!!.

My friend bought this and recommended that I try it too. It actually worked really well and fit my tastes. It feels very well made, with the rose gold being a nice touch and would suit any sort of casual outfit.

I think there is some slight magnification of the lenses, but its not a big deal. There are hollow metal hearts built into the arms of the glasses though if that would be an issue when buying for a friend, but its very subtle.

They look really good with basically whatever outfit, it is very cute. The only “disadvantage” it’s that it glares sometimes so it took me a little bit off guard sometimes when walking haha other than that very pretty and it works well when using the computer.

The glasses themselves look lovely and frame my face well. My only issue is that when going outside they get cloudy very easily (accumulation of dirt?) and when using them for my online calls they’re super reflective of the screen.

My main intended use for these was just for pictures, and that worked out great in the end!.

I was very hesitant on online purchase of prescription eyeglass especially because I need large frames. Normally I use 58-18-140 frames and this VEGA frame was closest at 57 with a rectangular shape.

Adjustable nose bridge. And semi-rimless design in gunmetal. Following the video and easy to understand instructions on EYEBUYDIRECTI now have a Computer/Intermediate eyeglass with anti-blue tint with the correct prescription the first time.

Needless to say the price was fabulous. From order date to receiving eyeglass was about 2 weeks and this VEGA is workable. If EYEBUYDIRECT offers more larger frames in 58 size in choice of colors and styles.

I will next get a pair for my Distant/Reading Bifocal needs and also prescription Sunglass.

Even though I had a lot of back and forth with Eye Buy Direct (EBD) support staff. In the end I got a great pair of glasses. I first ordered the “Mel” frame with a progressive prescription. When they came in.

They had small plus signs (+) and the number 250 etched faintly into each lens. I inquired about it and EBD offered to replace the glasses. I changed to the “Vega” frame. Keeping the same prescription.

Those. Too. Came in with the etchings in the lenses. When I complained again. EBD said the etchings were normal for progressive prescriptions. It seemed to me like something had changed in the explanation for what was going on.

They offered to replace the glasses again. So I changed to the “Above” frame. Those just came in and while they still have the plus signs and the number 250 etched into the lens. I’m keeping them. I have to say that in all three cases the quality of workmanship was excellent.

The glasses were always beautiful and well made. And at no time did staff at EBD become rude or short tempered with me. They were always polite and professional. That’s why I was willing to give them five stars.

This is the first pair of glasses I’ve purchased on-line. I was a bit apprehensive at first. But now I’m glad I did. The ordering process was quite easy after I decided on the frames. It took about a week and a half to receive from the time I ordered them.

Which I consider pretty quick. The frames and lenses are just as nice as anything I’ve ever gotten from my optometrist office which I paid hundreds of dollars for and that was with insurance. The lenses (1.

67 high index) and frames are lightweight and comfortable to wear all day long. The nose pads are made from a silicone like material that helps prevent the glasses from slipping down. I am very pleased with the price.

This is my 5th pair of Caddis Progressives and it is another win. I wear these as my sunglasses or a rotation of them (I am waiting for VELMA to be offered in a sunglass) 😉 These offer a fun 1970s vibe that brings a little fashion fun into my wardrobe and that is really why I love CADDIS so much.

The doc suggested readers with my regular contact lenses to enhance close vision. Tried drugstore specs. Meh styling, and lenses like wavy gravy. How about those thin, foldie, perched on the top of your nose, A-online shopping specials? Thought I would like the portability, but too thin, and no class.

Plus, Old Dad, but not Post-Punk Old Dad. Ya know, it’s not like I need to hide that I wear +2. 50 lenses on my face, so go for the gold. The Metamodernist attracts comments like: what are those, and, why do you look like 1979 on purpose, and, where can I get them? I swap these out with my Mister Cartoons, because, why not?.
