10 Best Wireless Lavalier Mic (2022 Updated)

Excellent as a doorbell ringer for Nest Hello. Cheapest option vs calling an installer to replace the transformer. The first Nest Hello worked fine with my doorbell but died after 1 hour of use. The 2nd one works fine so far but does not ring the existing door bell.

I don’t use it for anything else.

The Google Home Mini provides 90% of the bang of its larger siblings (Google Home, Home Hub, Home Max), but at a drastically lower price. Fact is, it contains the same technology, minus the larger circuitry needed for louder, better music.

As long as you don’t expect amazing sound clarity and volume, you will be happy with this inconspicuous gem that gives you the full features of Google Assistant.

For the price this is definitely just great to have around the place, change the music and ask weather info and mess around with, I don’t really have complaints about it. Responses aren’t entirely fast but it’s still a great product.

While some might find it’s capabilities limited, the Saramonic Blink 500 B4 Wireless Microphone System is a very useful tool that immediately increases the audio quality of any iPhone production. I purchased this system to pair with an iPhone Xs and DJI Osmo to produce Facebook Live broadcasts for the Museum where I work.

CONCERNS LAID TO REST: Before I made my purchase, I read a couple of reviews detailing concerns of high noise. While there is a little bit of noise, it is noticeably less than what you hear on your standard phone microphone.

The audio quality is very crisp and warm. As I find with most third-party products utilizing the lightning port, the receiver doesn’t ‘click’ into place like Apple lighting accessories. I was nervous at first, concerned that the receiver would easily come loose, but after several tests the receiver remained secure and at no-time affected the audio, even with the vast amount of movements executed on the DJI Osmo.

WHAT’S MISSING? You cannot meter your audio whether you’re utilizing the DJI Osmo app to record video, the standard iPhone Camera app to record video, or Facebook/Instagram Live, but this shouldn’t be a deterrent.

I encourage users to take a few minutes to test their audio levels before recording/going live. FINAL THOUGHTS: I recommend the Saramonic Blink 500 B4 Wireless Microphone System to anyone who wants to increase the audio quality of their productions.

It works extremely well with Facebook/Instagram Live, which is my primary use, but it is also a tremendous asset working out in the field. I have captured numerous off-the-cusp interviews with this kit, and they sound great.

As always B&H had it in stock, when everyone else was sold out. My 1st impression was: Wow this is light and the whole system fits in my palm. That’s crazy. When I plugged the receiver and turned the transmitters on, it just worked.

No fuss, no reading the manual, nothing… I was off recording a video in literally a few seconds. The receiver added no real weight to my phone and that was filming as normal, except now I had two wireless microphones transmitting perfectly.

As I got to use the system a bit more, I experimented with and without the lavs and a level controls on the transmitters. Trying to dial-in the best sound an get an idea how I am going to use these. While I do prefer to use the lavs, it is good to know that in a pinch I can just click the transmitter to someone’s shirt.

I also liked being able to use the transmitters like a handheld mic. Which is perfect for me when interviewing people on the street. Overall, I don’t think I could be happier with this system. The mics sounds great, when using one mic, or two.

It also doesn’t weigh me down and I can always keep it with me for when inspiration strikes to make another video. It has significantly stepped up my audio for my videos and given me the flexibility that I wanted to create better content.

People are already commented to let me know that my audio sounds much better than before. I am going to buy the Blink RX receiver soon too, so I can use these same mics with my soon to be acquired Sony RX100 mkVII.

I am really impressed by the innovation of this product at this price point. Rather than try to replicated on the cheap the Shure or Sennheiser wireless systems, this has all the appearance of a new from-the-ground-up product.

I needed to have 2 Lavalier microphones wirelessly connected to a small receiver that fits onto the camera hotshot, with a cable connection to the microphone in of the camera (Canon RP since you asked.

). Each unit has built-in rechargeable batteries, they charge using a 5V USB C connection, and last more than enough time (hours) before re-charging is needed. This set has two transmitters that feed into the receiver as a single channel (mono) which is fine.

Each transmitter has 4 gain settings. They are paired once and for all with their receiver, very easy to do. The camera has a headphone OUT socket, not really needed as the automatic level setting of the camera did a good job even with pauses and outside noise.

The transmitters also have a built-in microphone if you do not need the quality and proximity of the Lavalier mikes. Everything was provided in the box, cables and all. Transmission is using 2. 4 MHz, this may be an issue in a dense Wi-Fi environment, but I had no problems at home with tens of devices connected.

We got this as a second to use in the bedroom as an alarm clock. After my recent surgery I had to take pain pills every four to six hours. Setting reminders for the next pill, this unit was very handy.

Now we’re thinking about buying a third one for the living room.

This is what you need if you are a mobile entertainer or just need a solid mic it won’t leave you stranded with loss of signal. You can go more expensive than this but there’s no need to you can go cheaper than this but you’re asking for problems this is the mic that is great for professionals and amateur users alike I love this mike so much I have multiple units of the same microphone system extremely reliable super high-quality easy to use we love them.

I combined the KSM 11 capsule with this unit, and it rocked the house! The soundman told me to warn anyone that they should turn the gain all the way off when starting start soundcheck!

I have been a Shure guy since the 70’s!!! My Dad worked for Shure back in the late 60’s. waaaaaay before I ever though of becoming a Musician. And, since I became one, I was SO EXCITED when I bought my first SM 57 mic.

Then, when I bought my first SM 58. Then when I bought my First Wireless a Systems. Then, when I bought my First SM 58 Beta. then my SM 87 Beta, and now my Wireless Guitar, and Mic systems. Now, I’m driven to pick up either the QLXD or the ULXD Series.

All these years, Shure has NEVER LET ME DOWN!!! Dependable,. Reliable, Hard Working, Road Worthy, and can take a LOT of Punishment that the Road can dish out. I’m not an endorse, (YET!!!) but if they asked, I would PROUDLY ENDORSE SHURE PRODUCTS!!!.

I watched some reviews on youtube as everything else was beyond my budget. The sound quality is fair and you have to mess around in post-production. For the price it’s a fine piece of equipment, that’s to say the used price I paid on ebay.

If you aren’t desperate, then save up or rent. If you are as I was then go for it.

This is a great lavalier microphone system. It’s noise levels are really low but sound quality isnt great. At this price it’s a worthwhile investment.

The Shure BLX14R is part of a family of Wireless microphones that are probably the most cost effective in the market. The R suffix indicates rack mount, which can be handy. HOWEVER, it also indicates a unit with LCD display that provides the user with more information than the non-R version.

As I recall, it also has antennas with connectors, which is handy for situations where a remote antenna or an antenna distribution system is needed. These are supplied in three variations: 1 for use with a lav or headset mic (or with one included), 2 with an included handheld mic, or 3 this guitar version, which simply means a cable to connect the transmitter to an instrument (1/4 inch phone plug).

I’m not overly fond of the lav mic they supply. If I’m using it in that manner, I will get a Sennheiser MKE 2 mic, which are head and shoulders above any other lav mic or a countryman headset. Interestingly the MKE 2 can be used as a headset, with an attachment.

It also is used by professionals on the forehead, covered by bangs. I opted for the guitar version, because I might want to use it that way occasionally, but my main application was a wireless lectern, using a Shure MX4.

The MX4 will connect directly to the BLX14 transmitter without the “preamp” except that one has to replace ormodify the connector to provide a ground to the ground pin. We have been using the pair for several months now.

Our only problem is that the BLX14 transmitter is hidden in the lectern, and it is too easy to forget turn switch it off after use.

Things I wish it had: – A more sturdy/ rugged transmitter. I feel the door is going break off. But, it hasn’t and I’m careful with it. – More options for holders/ cases. It stays on on belt ok. Not so much on a guitar strap.

– a right angle guitar chord. I purchased and now have an extra. The good: – A racks wonderfully with mic and in ear units – Batteries last a long time – Has XLR and 1/4″ out – No issues with interference or drops outs.

My church has struggled with inconsistent signal strength from our current wireless microphones. This one just works. It scans for an ideal frequency, you pair it with the transmitter, and then it works.

Not a single problem.

Most lavs work fine when shooting audio for video, hard wired or wireless. But when a PA is part of the audio chain, most lavs, being omnidirectional, will feed back in the sound system before a good audience level is attained.

The W184, being super directional, allows for quite a bit more gain from the sound system before reaching feedback. If you’re recording more than one person, in my case up to six, it is imperative to have the super-cardioid mics.

The Shure W184 is perfect for this.

Been using for a couple of weeks and am pleased. Much better mic quality than an older Audio-Technica lavalier system. Also, the mic seems to pic up the voice better and is less affected by movements of the head from left to right or up and down.

Being forced to move to a lower frequency range is kind of unfair, but I must say that this Sennheiser setup is a nice improvement over our previous setup of a different brand. Very nice quality, and a good range when paired with the ASA 214-UHF Active Antenna Splitter.

And the little lav mic works great!.

Perfect for filmmaking, interviews, vlogging or whatever. I’ve used a lot of mics of all kinds over the years as a recording engineer, producer and filmmaker and in my opinion Countryman makes the best lav mics on the market.

We purchased this as a replacement for our Sennheiser wireless mic. The sound quality is excellent and the Sennheiser plug works perfectly. I have other Countryman mics which are wired, this is our first wireless version.

We are very pleased and will do the same for our other wireless systems if needed.
