20 Best Wireless Sax Mic (2022 Updated)

This is the second Beta 98H/C that I’ve owned. I’m replacing one that the cable wore out on over about a decade of use. I play professionally and the mic always served me well. It sounds good and doesn’t color my sound too much.

It does seem to pick up key noise and some ambient sounds on stage though. My only critique is the cable it comes with- I wish it were just a full-size XLR or something a bit more durable. That skinny cable is prone to damage just from normal wear and tear.

I bought this mic primarily because when I’m recording trumpet with a harmon mute in the bell it is sometimes difficult to keep the position of the mute at the optimum spot on a standard mic for extended periods of time.

With the Beta 98H/C I can adjust the position of the mic with the generously flexible gooseneck extension to the optimum sweet spot and not be concerned if the horn moves around while I’m playing and recording.

And this mic records an open trumpet sound extremely well too, handling high SPL levels, and using various offset positions I can get different colors of sound and timbre to match the piece I’m recording.

Phantom power is required but that is not an issue for me. I look forward to using this mic in live applications as well. #sweepstakes.

I love playing banjo but don’t love trying to stand in front of an instrument mic. I have never found a banjo pickup that has a true acoustic sound. I saw this mic on the AMS website and figured it might work.

When it arrived the clip was actually larger than it seemed in the photo and would not clip onto the banjo bracket, but it did clip onto the bakelite rim of my Gold Tone banjo. Plugging it it (with phantom power) I was able to position it so it doesn’t get in the way of playing while it does an excellent job of amplifying the banjo.

I have an online gig coming up in a couple of weeks and am glad that I’ll be able to play banjo on a few tunes. Next I want to see if I can find a way to clamp it on a resonator guitar.

Seamless ordering, fast shipping! The product arrived well packaged and worked perfect! I have researched Sennheiser XSW 1-835 with dual 835 Microphones and it delivered what it promised! Easy setup, solid connectivity, overall excellent quality!.

Sound quality is ok, but these mics drop connection in dead spots. The units don’t have external antennas, giving them poor reception. Normal sized sanctuary with receivers at the sound booth, and you can walk around the stage and the mics will drop out.

The sound quality is excellent, I did like that the batteries (2 x AAs) had a pull over clip to hold them secure before the cove was screwed on. It was very easy to set up and use, the only down side was the plastic construction, it seems very flimsy (time will tell).

Originally ordered a cheap 100 mic off Amazon – soon regretted it. This works very well – no cut out issues – good quality – as always customer service with djkit. com is always superb and friendly on the phone!.

This is a great wireless system. It has what I need for home and playing with others. I didn’t want to spend the same amount on a system that has rechargeable batteries and will be useless after a couple of years or so depending on use.

This one is sturdy and I’ve had no problems.

I use several of these microphones in various ways. The UHF 18 comes with a handheld mic. I use those for weddings and other dances. Very seldom do I notice dropouts and when it happens, it’s usually because the best man is holding it by the antenna end.

I also have the 5800 series which has 4 receivers and handhelds. I have added body packs for each channel as well. I have used them to mic actors in school musicals. They actually worked out at least as good as some of the Sennheisers.

The battery life is about 10-12 hours continuous so keep track and replace batteries before performance time. I also use these in a simulation lab in conjunction with a TC Helicon processor to modify voices.

We also have Gem, Nady, Sennheiser and other wireless mics. These are my reliable, go-to mics. Learners are emphatic about the realistic effect. The voices are clear and we can change our voice to a child, woman or man.

It adds realism to scenarios and I appreciate the reliability of the mics. I use a body pack for that and a modified mini xlr to xlr cable to output to the transmitter. The one thing I have noticed it to treat the transformer cord with care.

I have had two of the power supply cords break. I opened the cases and repaired them but not everyone will be comfortable with that. I would also order a foam windscreen to minimize pops. These are pretty sensitive to close vocal pops.

Otherwise, no complaints.

Haven’t had these long, but used a pair at my last recording gig. Mics sit side by side with no cross-talk or distortion, sound is VERY GOOD for a stage mic, range is fine for any live gig (they’re not walkie talkies).

Mics seem very rugged and are light-weight. Big colored button on the end matches the colored dot on the reciever. I milled out a 1-U blank and the receivers fit nicely in my live-sound rack. Mics have a 3-way off-mute-on switch (mute avoids any clicking), receivers have a BNC attached antenna, nice rugged touch.

The price level is GREAT.

I’ve used the Vocopro 3200 set of wireless UHF mics forever. Having also had the opportunity to compare them to other mics in the same price range and just about ANY VHF mics I have been enamored with their quality and sound.

One of my mics was recently sundered at a bar when I wasn’t there (always take your mics with you even if you’re other gear remain from show to show) and I wanted a replacement. A single replacement was expensive so I thought I’d try this to replace the M unit on my 3200.

Well, turns out it’s the same frequency as the still working N unit. It’s an option at least and sounds great! But now I’ll have to call and see if the N frequency version of this will replace the 3200’s M or if I have to buy a much more expensive replacement.

I’ve used several brand of mics. & will attest to the fact they will stand along with the majority in performance and, yes, good clear quality sound! Our daughters (Fruit Of The Spirit) a Gospel Singing group; The Magnificent K-Brothers (my brother’s and I); and my wife and I(B&J) who also sing gospel music, all have used both cord and cordless mics for more than 2 decades.

I, and the groups have been very satisfied with there services. And will ‘very strongly’ recommend Sennheiser for their longevity, quality, and look& handling. Also I commend AMS (American Musical Supply) for making it possibly and available to be able to purchase quality equipment reasonable and convenient with the services they offer, and make available.

They are “presenter-class” wireless, and as such are a good product. They have limited programming capability, but some nice features that help with coordinating frequency with pro-grade wireless you may have on location.

Excellent sound quality for presenter-grade units. The transmitters are mostly made of plastic, so they are light-weight, but missing some of the durability we’ve become used to in pro-class wireless.

We had issues with these units in a downtown (high-density) environment when we used them outside of “presenter” (short) ranges. Not a surprise, hence removing a star.

I have performed a few wedding piano gigs with these and so far and I love them! They give a crystal clear sound with such a low latency that I certainly can’t detect it when playing the digital piano.

It’s such a treat to have no wires – especially as I have also purchased battery powered speakers. I have two sets of these sennheiser XSW-D’s one for the left speaker and one for the right as I like to monitor and perform in stereo.

I was a bit dubious before buying these whether they would be alright for line level signals as Sennheisers marketing material seems to be more aimed at guitarists and bass players but I have to say the are just fine.

It is early days so I have yet to put them to the full test of working in busy busy post covid environments with lots of people and other wireless signals flying around. But so far I think they are excellent/.

Originally purchased a Line 6 G10S. The design was perfect for my needs but was highly affected by Wi-Fi. Regular dropouts at short distances, so I exchanged it for the Sennheiser XSW-D. I’ve played it at a couple gigs and here are my thoughts.

DESIGN- 8/10 Super small footprint, adapter cable and belt clip are nice accessories, and it has a bendable ¼ inch jack for different angled inputs. Transmitter and receiver both need to be charged but only one USB-C cable is included.

Seems inappropriate, but it didn’t come with a USB wall charger either (just like a lot of digital devices). I think companies do this because they assume we already have a drawer full of them from all of our phones.

USB-C cables have become the new standard with ALL new phones and they probably assumed that we already have an extra one sitting around. PERFORMANCE- 10/10 Unlike the Line 6, the Sennheiser was unaffected by Wi-Fi.

I’m a regular gigging musician (I don’t play arenas) so I generally don’t walk any further than about 20-25 feet from my equipment during a performance. I will, however, walk further out through the crowd at the beginning of the night to do a soundcheck.

I walked out about 40 feet with people, bar tables, and support beams between me and the receiver with no dropouts! CONCLUSION- Reliability with a low-profile system is exactly what I wanted. PERSONAL THOUGHT.

with all of these new low-profile wireless systems coming out, all of them have built in batteries that are not easily replaceable. When those die, you’ll probably have to replace the whole system. Consider that future expense when buying one.

Some background: I play electric guitar (equipped with Ghost piezos) as well as acoustic guitar in a few different bands and hate stepping on my cable so I sought a wireless system. I tried the Line 6 G10/G10S.

Both are really good systems, but would not work with Anthem pickups (even with the adapter/extension cable). I was able to snag a G30 and that worked but I experienced some intermittent drop outs. Good back up system, but I did not like the reliability at some venues.

Then I saw Aaron Short’s review of the XSW-D on YouTube. I purchased it instantly from MF. I have been using it now since early March-ish 2019 (it is now end of May 2019). It has gone through probably 25 gigs.

Pros: I love this wireless system’s ability as a wireless system. I still have not had one drop out no matter what I’ve tried to do to cause a drop out. The engineers at Sennheiser put some pretty remarkable work in with this, especially given that it operates on the 2.

4gHz frequency. It is really easy to use as well (mute function is a fantastic detail) and being able to have a single re-charge last 4. 5 (you can push it to 5 sometimes!) hours is pretty awesome. Another MAJOR pro is that it works with all guitar systems I have tried, passive and active.

As said above, I kept running into an issue with my Anthem-equipped acoustics with other systems that had major noise (assuming proximity of transmitter to the active system guts). With the XSW-D, not an issue and absolutely zero noise while maintaining superb fidelity and sound.

Cons: Durability-the included clip seems to have broken. I do not want to plug the transmitter right into the guitar jack because I don’t want to accidentally snap it off on the wall. The box only includes one USB-C cable, but you need 2 to charge both units.

Small detail there, but the clip breaking is a tough one for me. Expect great results, but watch out for durability.

This mic was used in church for our pastor. It very comfortable and the audio quality is amazing. Easy to set up with no feedback issues or wireless interference by our other wireless mics. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a headset mic for singing or clergy purpose.

Awesome product! Better sound and ease of use than the $800 skin colored wireless mic. If you are teaching a class or speaking to a large crowd this is what you need!

I purchased this system for our small church. It is easy to setup, just plug and play basically. You will need to make gain adjustments to get the sound you like, but that’s easy too. If you are looking for something along this line, this system is definitely worth considering at this price.

We are very pleased with our purchase of this system. The microphones are sensitive and will pick up vocals at about 3-12 inches from the microphone, with the right gain settings. This is something we were looking for since this microphone is being used at the pulpit.

As well as the second mic being used for song leading. Of course the closer you are to the mic, the louder it will be, so you’ll need to make you gain adjustments with the help of another person, to get the level you’re looking for.

I hope this helps someone who is looking for a system with this in mind.

I purchased this to use at my local church and am so glad that I did! I have been using this for about a week and am impressed by the performance thus far. One thing right off that I would recommend is looking into rechargeable batteries as that is something that I will be looking for soon as it will make it so I do not have to replace the batteries when I do not have them.

I found in using this that the reception that I got was strong, even through the wall that I have between the sanctuary and where we place out microphone base. I liked using this unit because it was using the 900MHz band which seems to give a better sound clarity than in using VHF as we had been using in the past.

The setup for this unit was easy and we were able to use this with ease in the space that we had. You get everything that you need to initially set this up. You can export the audio out from the microphones either by a single phono cable or by a pair of XLR cables.

I found that if you use the phono cable both microphones get exported together and the dials on the front will adjust the volume of the microphones however if you use XLR cables the dials on the device do nothing and each channel is sent to a mixing board which was not a problem because we already have a board that we use.

So far this unit has been great and is providing me with everything that we need! I highly recommend this to all!.

While it sounds good, it does feel lightweight, which doesn’t bother me for what I’m using it for. There’s still a noise from the other night I’ve still got to investigate. I was using it for karaoke, but may be the way some were holding it.

But didn’t have those issues when I used it. I’m waiting now to see how long it holds up, but overall has the quality and distance I’m needing. Also the xlr jacks are hard to disconnect from. I’ve got one cable still stuck in place.

These are great, there is no latency. I walked around various rooms in my house trying to lose the signal but couldn’t. They continued working through all the walls. The sound is a bit crisper than with a cable, but I liked the extra brightness.

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the connections. The transmitter doesn’t snap fully into my mic. I have several, and it won’t go fully in. The connection very tight though, so it won’t fall out.

Also, the charging connections are very tight and I have to almost force the plugs in. Again, I have tried them on other equipment with the same result. Having said that, the charge lasts forever, and they charge fairly quickly, so on the whole, I would recommend them.

Pros: The size and weight and the accessibility. It fits on all desks and doesn’t take up extra space. When the microphone end accidentally falls out on the floor because someone’s hand rubs over it.

It seems solid enough and it’s built to take a beating. Which is great because musicians are always on the go rushing around. Cons: The microphone end is to easily loosened by the touch of your hand.

There should be a lock once it’s in place. Take the gate off or the compressor. So it sounds more open.

Let me start by saying at the time of writing this review BNH was offering $120 gift card with the purchase of this unit. Before I purchase this unit I was looking into other units such as tentacle sync and tascam.

However after discussing it with a few friends who owned both I decided this was the best value for my money especially with the gift card that was being offered. However, I was unsure which frequency to purchase.

SenHeiser did not have their frequency information available on their website at this time and so I ended up calling BNH and talking to representative. They advise me on purchasing this unit because it was the most recent block of frequencies that had been released by the company and that I would have my best bet of getting as many channels as possible with this unit.

This is absolutely correct as the first time I used it was at a huge conference and I had no issues with 12 channels available. The microphone while bigger than the earlier microphones was still very good and picked up even by standards that were talking with my client.

A failed H for zoom recording made this a huge win for me as I was still able to pick up usable audio from interviews. I can’t recommend this unit enough and it’s the perfect time to buy especially if the gift card is still being offered.

This is a high quality, pro/consumer grade product. Out of the box, the system is quick to setup and simple to use. Overall, it delivers good value and trouble-free results with flexibility for a wide variety of uses.

You might decide to upgrade the included lav mic, but the transmitter and receiver are hard to beat. Yes, I looked at higher-end options at significantly higher prices, but they offered features I would never use, and solutions to specific problems I never encounter.

In the end, it became impossible to justify anything more. For my needs, there is nothing better on the market.

It delivers the warmest yet clear crisp voice compared to a range of wireless lapel systems in its price range. Parts, accessories, concealers, dead kittens, a variety of microphone sizes and qualities, omni or unidirectional, as well as repair services are widely available.

The ME2 windscreen does not come off easily at all thus loosing it is almost impossible. Sturdy. Easy operation: just scan for a interference-free frequency and sync the transmitter using its infrared pairing feature.

I start by lowering sensitivity to a -12 db on both transmitter and receiver, then pumping up the receiver first as needed to get maximum range without distortion.

I emcee a few dozen times a year and needed a dual wireless mic system without breaking the bank. Having done research on the PHENYX PRO PTU-71 I decided to give it a shot figuring for less than a $100 what did I have to lose.

First time I set this system up I found these to hook up easily, work fantastic and have a sound quality nowhere near what I expected. The sound is awesome and rivals other systems costing hundreds of dollars more.

In fact I have added a second PHENYX PRO PTU-71 for a total of 4 wireless mics. A good friend uses Shure wireless mics in his church and agrees that these rival their far more expensive counterparts.

The XSW is a great concept but a failed execution. It’s simple and lacks any settings. That could be overlooked for it’s compactness except the levels coming out are so crazy high that even in a camera with adjustments it’s a hassle because you have to turn it so much lower than other mics.

Forget about using this with phone of other camera that does not have any sort of input level adjustment. Sennheiser cranked the volume to 100 and locked it. There’s really no excuse. Now that the Rode Wireless Go is out with vastly more features and with level adjustments it’s a no brainier.

The only way the XSW stays relevant in comparison is if they give us some control over levels in an update. Even then it won’t really compare since there no actual internal controls.

I got this kit for 3 reasons and it works, I needed short range lav for ceremony’s and it’s works, I also use this To turn my regular speakers into a wireless speaker, and that also worked… I also use it for my camera when I’m doing interviews, it allows me to turn a regular handheld into a cordless microphone.

It does everything that I needed to do very well… Do keep in mind that the range is very limited but for my applications it works perfectly fine no complaints.

I thought it would connect more than one transmitter so I bought it as a set of 2 transmitter and one receiver. And I am wrong.

Sound: The best r&r Mike for ANY money Features: It’s meat and potatoes. Get an off/on switch if you feel the need to sophisticate Ease of Use: Plug it in crank it up. Problem solved. Quality: Ask Roger Daltry.

Value: Worth twice the amount (don’t tell them though, I’m still poor). Manufacturer Support: Never needed them. So IDK The Wow Factor: It’s not the Brad Pitt of microphones. More like Tommy Lee Jones or Robert Duval.

Overall: It’s 1969, Woodstock music and all the acid has drained a LOT of energy (and brain cells) from the half million metropolis they call The Audience. It’s late, stage hands scurrying around setting up the next “act”.

Lights go down like the eyelids if the 3 day city. Then LIGHTS, BASS, GUITAR, and DRUMS RIP OPEN THE AIR. PEOPLE TRY TO PUT US. D D D. D DOWN and My Generation kicks out from the Who’s, Roger Daltry.

Like Zeus weilding lightning bolts, he deftly precisely throws his microphone towards The Audience snatching it back to himself, only to twirl it amazingly two then three times to hurl it once again back at them.

There has never been a harder working Mike in the business. And 50 years later it still has no equal. Aside from the Les Paul, or Strat, it remains one of the best things to ever solidify Rock and Roll as an art form or a religion.

This is my favorite mic model that I used for 10 years running in a traveling rock band with many drops and no failures. The gold standard of live vocal amplification! The on-off switch is a nice option, and this can be locked in the on position by reversing a metal tab and tightening a screw.

Although not mentioned in the ad, this mic comes with a factory clip and vinyl zipper carrying bag. The stand is very sturdy and steady. much more than I expected. The 20 foot cord works great with nice cable flexibility.

If you desire a better quality cord, you can always use this for a backup. This is an unbeatable deal.

I ventured out into other dynamic mics, and for my voice in particular it suits me the best of anything I have ever found. It has a warmth and low end to it that takes the harshness out when I’m singing powerfully, but has enough mid and high end to still sound great and cut through the mix.

I tried other dynamic mics but they have to much mid and high leading it so sound a bit too harsh for my style of singing. In the end I think it depends on the singer to find the best fit, but you know you can never go wrong with an sm58.

It’s so versatile too, I’ve used it in a pinch for home demo’s recording acoustic guitar, put it in front of a guitar cab into a PA, and used it on a snare and bass drum live. While those aren’t it’s intended use, I’m always surprised by how this mic can be used for almost anything in a pinch.

It’s certainly very well rounded. It’s also extremely durable, I’ve seen punk bands try and break one and they still work afterwards. If your feeling anxious about making the right purchase, this is one mic that you’ll likely never have buyers remorse from.

Excellent when using on horn for outdoor brass performances and when feeding into a live soundboard with electric instruments and DJs for hip hop and rock shows. Great sound quality and no issues with picking up unwanted instrument noise unless I (or the sound guy) does something dumb.

Until now I have used various mics on short mic stands as pickups for my acoustic cello. I had tried various contact mics which tend to give an electronic instrument sound and require attachments which are not convenient.

A friend recommended the Shure and I used it first time in performance – straight out of the box. Super satisfied with it. Attaches easily in 5 seconds to the tail piece and with the mic super close to the f hole it was the first time I could actually hear the cello from the speaker system – in fact I had to limit the gain.

As a result very low pickup of ambient sounds. Plus no tripod to lug. Less lugging is always better.

I had a large event coming up and needed an additional mic to run for one of the visiting performers. My local Guitar center did not have a large selection of wireless mics and the price seemed to be a good deal.

When opening the box you are greeted by the SHURE name practically everywhere. the excitement builds as you tear open the packaging. (some of us are that way lol) Then I get to the goods. the mic is lightweight.

like scary lightweight. I can tell from the getgo that this setup is all plastic minus the windscreen/ No way would this survive any normal drops. The receiver is equally light and felt like it wouldnt be stable.

I also didn’t see anywhere to attach a rackmount either unless you rigged it with double sided tape. Honestly after looking it over and not seeing an antenna my expectations dropped quickly about this package.

I get past that initial fear and hook up the mic to check out the sound. I have experiences with both SM58’s and PGA58’s and there isn’t a world of difference in real world applications. You would expect the wireless mics to resemble that right? I honestly felt like this mic has a wet blanket over the top of it.

Several eq changes later I got it semi under control but still felt dry and boomy. I plugged up a PG58 and had to do far less Equing. I ended up not even using the mic for the show because I was worried about the singer standing out in a mix or being down a mic after it got dropped.

I ended up returning the mic and ordered the BLX24R/SM58. You get alot more for your money with that setup including a rackmountable all metal receiver WITH removable antennas, and a SM58 version of the mic that feels heftier and not as cheap and lightweight.

It feels like you are getting a higher level unit overall. being rackmountable is a big plus! In my opinion you should def skip the BLX24/SMpg58 and reach deeper into the wallet for another 100. You will honestly feel alot better about your purchase!~.

So, we’d been using a pair of VocoPro mics for about four years and they served the purpose for us as a “new” ministry. Since the transition to online, we’ve assessed the need to upgrade and of course, there’s no better mic than the Shures.

We already had a pair of Shure BLX headsets that we’ve used for a couple of years. Another great product! So, when it came time to replace the VocoPro, the Beta 58’s were on the list. We’ve had them for a few weeks now and they are a major step up and have moved our ministry praise and worship into another atmosphere.

I work for a collegiate athletics program and we use this mic very heavily for different digital marketing projects. I love the sound quality, the distance in which the receiver works (we have had the mic about a football field away from the receiver and it worked fine) and the durability of the outer shell.

The only shortcomings we have found in using the mic have been hyper specific to our situation, but I feel like they should be included in this review in case a future buyer is in a similar situation.

One of the issues we have come across is the weight of the mic. We do a lot of mic’d up practices in which our athletes wear the mic as they participate in practice and we have found that the weight of the mic tends to pull practice shorts down.

We have remedied this by making all of the athletes wear spandex shorts under their gear, but the weight of the pack would be an issue if not for this solution. Another issue that has come up during these mic’d up shoots is the mute button being on the face of the pack.

We have had instances in which the mute button is hit mid drill and we lose any usable content until the drill stops. If your subject isn’t as dynamic as ours, it shouldn’t be an issue, but it is one to note.

Overall, our experience with this gear has been really great as the metal structure has really taken all worry away from our mic being broken during a practice and the overall sound quality is great.

I’ve been working in the film industry for 30 years. I have worked with tons of different mic systems and by far this is one of the worst product I have ever worked with. I would highly recommend buying the sennheiser lavalier g3.

I wish that I had bought this system over this product. I sent this new product back to the company as they suggested. I was sent back a USED older model that has the same problems with drop off even five feet away from the transmitter lav.

I would suggest to all people looking for a microphone system to stay away from using this product at all costs. The sennheiser lavalier g3 is more likely to be the best for all production needs for most audio applications.

I used them for years and had zero issues and I regret buying this terrible product. In all honesty I’m now stuck with working with this lav mic system and had wished that I had never made the decision to buy it.

I use the Saramonic Blink 500 for work and it has not been the most reliable. It was then I found that it was on the same frequency as wifi and Bluetooth. For my personal projects, I wanted something better built and hopefully that was on a different bandwidth.

I decided to give this a go. I have used it a handful of times and it has worked well. I paired it with a Nikon Z6II. The noise floor is around -50db. I usually add a compressor in post and the sound is good for my needs.

I use these to make high end YouTube videos. The case is all metal. Some reviewers have complained about the batteries. I bought 2700ma rechargeable batteries. I used them for three hours and the battery indicator never moved from full.

I would recommend buying high end batteries for these if you plan to shoot all day. They shouldn’t give you an issue. The only tricky think I found is when you want to pair them to a new channel, you have press the button on the Tx and the Rx at the same time.

I didn’t understand this at first. Some have also mentioned about the belt clip falling off easily. I had quite the time getting the clip on the pack and was very stable for my talent to wear, so I don’t see that being an issue.

So far I’m happy with the product and I would recommend it.

Bought due to reasonable price and having good experience with other products they make but had not check the reviews on this particular wireless – my bad. Straight out of the box the mic would make static pops so bad when moved it could damage your ears and ruin a PA system.

Tried every single channel option and read the terribly poor manual for any insight, with no resolve. Thinking maybe the city I was in could be the problem I tested it in 2 other small towns later that day, with the same results.

Turning off the mic power switch also did not stop the crackling. GC service center said they allow mic returns but the local GC store I bought from said they didn’t. The service center could not take it back however because they said the local store computer system was different than theirs (how cool is that??).

They told me to try and find another store that would accept it. Luckily the manager of the Mayfield store was a super nice guy and helped me return it. I even ended up buying a higher end Shure model from him and that mic works and sounds fantastic (better than my wired SM58’s).

Sennheiser just lost a long time supporter and I may not frequent GC as much now.

We purchased two of these in September 2017 for outside broadcasts where it would be too tricky (or we’re too lazy) to run XLR cables to standard mics. Both mics are always kept in flight cases when not in use, and we’ve used them each about 5-10 times since purchase.

When they work, they’re fine, but this week we were running a concert and one of the mics went down – incredibly loud handling noise, even when it was on mute. Luckily, we had a spare set from another company beginning with S that we were able to use in place, so the even wasn’t ruined (always carry spares, kids!).

No problem, I thought. We have Pro Coverage on this. A nice easy transaction, send the broken device off, and get a replacement or gift card, and buy another of the S companies mics instead. No; even with pro coverage, GC wanted us to deal directly with Sennheiser.

Who have very short phone hours, an impossible to find website, and you’ll need to be on the phone to them to put the right information in on the support form – this product does not even exist, according to Sennheiser.

We have this mic (hopefully in a week or two we’ll have two of them again). But I’ll never buy another Sennheiser product.

I purchased this system to upgrade from my previous wireless mic system. Every part of the deal arrived brand new and in perfect working order out of the box. The deal itself was much better than i found elsewhere for the same items.

Would definitely purchase again.

The sound is okay for a speaker but I wouldn’t use it for singing without lots of effects. The range was actually pretty good and would be perfect for most of my uses. The biggest issue is that it cuts in and out too much.

I tried using them as the runner mics for Q&A at a town hall meeting and we lost a good chunk of the question because the mic cut out. The first time I thought perhaps it was distance and the bodies between the transmitters and receiver.

But it happened again when they were mere meters from each other. And it happened in tests. Sometimes when we turned it on one of the other mic wouldn’t connect. We’d have to switch it on and off several times.

As I’m writing this, I’m wondering why I’m keeping the bloody thing. But the answer is simple. it’s cheap. And when it works, it works well. So until I can afford to drop a couple grand on a professional set, I’ll use these.

The VHF frequency has gotten significantly less crowded as well, making it harder to run into interference whether you’re jamming out, giving a presentation, or just trying to be louder than your friends at a party.

Bought these microphones at Sam Ash and absolutely love the sound quality. Not only was my salesperson knowledgeable and courteous with no hard sales tactics. He walked me through the hook up process and it was so easy! These Mike’s can be adjusted to any level you’re comfortable with and the battery life is long lasting.

It’s essentially got me looking forward to colder weather! I own numerous pieces of Aviator Nation clothing, and this one is truly a head-turner, and frequently receives compliments. The build quality and materials that Aviator Nation puts into their products, are only exceeded by the commitment they have to their customers.

That’s how great and “well worth it” this brand reliably is.

I used this for one event and I have contacted MusiciansFriend about returning the item. My wife and I DJ weddings and provide sound reinforcement for commercial/corporate events. I was tired of renting the last few pieces of gear we didn’t have.

So we purchased this lav knowing AKG is a great brand for wired mic’s. When the sound was transmitted and received it was clear and great sounding. However the cons. The mic pick up pattern is very tight compared to other lav’s.

The range is much too short, we could not use this for an outside wedding when we were 60-80 feet from the mic with out it continuously dropping out. Yes I adjust the gain on the body pack and adjusted the squelch and even tried 8 channels with no improvement.

I have used many Shure and Sennheiser wireless lav’s and handhelds in the past and that is what I will continue to use. Hands down all around better.

I love this jacket. I went back and forth about it for a while because of the price, but I finally pulled the trigger and I’m happy I did. This product is handmade in California, and I’m happy to support US products and US workers, especially for quality craftsmanship.
