20 Best Wishes Book Event (2022 Updated)

This book is terrific and would make an awesome gift for any fan of the show. The review is for the book. As far as Target/shipping, the speed was quick, but two corners of my book are slightly damaged.

I had ordered one thru Order Pick-Up prior to this and that book had damage in 3 places, so at this point with the one I had shipped, is a bit better. I hope to exchange it if this book is ever back in stock in my local store.

This is a great coffee table book filled with wonderful fan art and recounts from our favourite Schitt’s Creek actors. Every episode is discussed and there is genuine love and respect between cast members as they reflect on the special moments of the show.

A must have for every Schitt’s Creek fan.

If youre a fan of Schitts Creek, and the zany writings of Andy and Danny Levy, then this book is for you. If youre borderline about the book, see the show, and youll be begging for more! Both my husband and I loved everything about the book.

I am a fan of Liane Moriarty’s books, and found Three Wishes to be equally as absorbing and entertaining as the other books of hers that I have read (which is most of them!). She builds very believable, flawed, thoroughly human characters, and writes about seemingly ordinary every day situations, that draw you in and keep you wanting to know ‘what happens next’.

I read this one in record time.

I enjoyed this book. I was never quite sure what would happen next. The story is about real life situations and how families work through them. I have enjoyed all LM books except for Apples Never Fall.

This is one of the authors more engaging books. I had previously read 9 Perfect Strangers which I found too confusing. Three wishes has the right amount of charcters and is a lovely book to read which I couldnt put down.

Also recommend Big Little Lies which I found is the best one she has written.

Another book I bought to comfort my granddaughter when her mommy passed. She was only 2 1/2. It was a very hard year, mommy wasn’t coming home , she couldn’t go to preschool, to the park, to Target. These wonderful books not only comforted my granddaughter but me too.

Her mommy was my only daughter.

Beautiful book, illustrations and message combined. I love this author-illustrator team! The language is simple, memorable, and really instills the values I think are most important, like sacrificial sharing, friendship, courage, adventure, and teamwork.

It’s also witty. I love reading this to my kids, and give it often at baby showers!!.

It has a double play on words that adults will embrace and a style witty clear illustrations that kids and adults will enjoy. It’s a grateful book – highly recommended for gift giving to those that are just starting out our changing a path in their life.

I wish you more was also the sentiment of the author, a delightful and renown children’s author, who wished more time with her children and husband before passing. It’s really a gem – please read it.

First of all let me say I haven’t met a Macomber book yet that I haven’t liked. and I should know as I have read over 60 of her books. She is one of the best writers of all time in my opinion! Twenty Wishes is absolutely awesome! I literally could not put the book down.

I read the whole thing in about 3 hours. This book really makes you stop and think about life. The whole premise is about a group of widows deciding to take life by the tail and write down some of their wishes, things they would like to do or buy.

They started with 20, but I got a feeling these ladies will find many more wishes to add to their list as they fulfill the ones they already put on the list. It really makes we want to start a list of wishes myself.

As the ladies in the book said, if you want it you gotta go for it. So why not? I think I will go start my list now. maybe I will start it with warm brownies from the oven. Sounds good to me! Give this book a try, I know you will love it as much as I did.

This book is by far my most favorite book of this series by Debbie Macomber. This concept and how it unfolded is quite exquisite and beautifully written. I love all the characters and reading about taking chances and how life is meant to be lived.

This book is definitely meant to be read more than once.

I’m reading the Blossom St. Series in chronological order. I love this series so much, I feel a part of blossom st. myself. Debbie Macomber has become one of my very favorite authors. This book in particular is VERY heartwarming.

If possible start from the beginning to really get to know the characters, I’m sure you will love them as much as the stories themselves.

This was a cute, moving book. I loved Charlie. She has a hard life and is dealing with it the best way she can. I also love all the characters in her community. Howard is a great character and best friend.

Loved this book. It was an easy read. Nothing full on if you are after simple read. It was beautifully written absolutely loved the character.

My 8 year old for this for her birthday! She loves it! She’s only a few chapters in but she loves this book.

An absolute MUST HAVE at every grandma’s house! It expresses exactly how I felt when each grandchild was born, and in rhymes! My grandchildren love it when I read this touching book and the pictures are vivid and just beautiful! Hands down, this is my favorite book! Even my 5 year old granddaughter still loves it when I read it to her How can something so beautiful and meaningful ever get old?.

This book is everything you wish for your grandchild(en), written in a simply but loving form. So sweet and caring! I give this book to everyone of my friends who are expecting to be a grandma.

This is a sweet baby book. The pages are sturdy cardboard and the hard cover exterior feels a little padded. There aren’t pointed corners with this book. I like the story which rhymes. The illustrations and colors are beautiful.

Bought theses cards to go in a little gold box at wedding reception. Just what I wanted. Big enough for a guest to leave a personalized note but not too big that it will take a lot of time to complete.

Super cute. Bought for my daughters wedding. Looking forward to see what her guests write on these.

What drew me to In a Holidaze was the time loop element. I love Christmas stories to begin with, but throw in a time loop and a stellar author duo and I was so in! Unfortunately, In a Holidaze was good, but nothing spectacular.

I feel like it was a decent Hallmark type Christmas story and delivered on that front, but many of us picked this book up with the promise of a time loop. There was, but it was lackluster in my opinion.

It only came into play for the first third of the story and then nothing ever came of it again. The romance was cute enough and we had some steamy bits, but Benny ended up being who kept me from putting this one down and not picking it back up.

I loved his character, but the rest of them were really just bland. It was a fairly stagnant plot with nothing too exciting or surprising, but a decent Christmas read. I think if you go into this one knowing it is super light in regards to the time loop plot then the ratings will be higher.

This was my third Christina Lauren book (Unhoneymooners & Twice in a Blue Moon) and I think this is my favorite of the three. They really nail it with their main love interests. The banter is always cute and funny, but most importantly- it always feels genuine to me.

These could be real people, people I might know. It’s not preposterous or over the top, which is a big deal to me. That might sound weird because this one has a groundhog’s day theme, but it doesn’t really get into the logistics of that.

it was easy to mostly just take it at face value and enjoy the romance. Their books are enjoyable, sweet, quick reads that just make me feel happier. Definitely what the doctor ordered this year! Not a life-changing book, (I’ve yet to read a romance that is,) but definitely worth it if you just need a festive read that makes you smile.

If you read/hear this once, you’ll hear it a hundred times I’m sure. This is like a Christmas edition of Groundhog Day. Except Bill Murray’s got nothing on Maisie! Maisie’s got quite a bit of drama and angst on her plate as the Christmas holiday comes to an end.

I have to admit, I didn’t expect this to go the direction it did and watching it all through Maisie’s point of view was like a wacky sleigh ride over some treacherous hills. I enjoyed her so much as she is a heroine seemingly created from my perfect heroine list.

With her quirky ways, a bit scatterbrained when in an awkward position, suffering from unrequited love, and beyond committed to her family both from blood and by choice, she won my heart almost from the very start and burrowed herself deep in there where she’ll reside as one of my top favorite heroines.

Actually, I fell in love with every character in this story. There isn’t one of them that didn’t make me smile, laugh, tear up or experience another emotion somewhere along the way. This chaotic group of characters reminded me so much of my own family even as they were experiencing growing pains just as we all do when it’s time for change.

I don’t want to spoiler anything here but I will say that I was engaged from the first page and read this in one sitting. It’s a fast paced book with enough steam to cause my hot cocoa to boil, if I weren’t drinking iced tea.

Add a perfect epilogue and I’ve just finished my first seasonal read. Anything following this is going to have some pretty big boots to fill.

Gosh. what a perfect way to ‘take on’ the Covid-19 pandemic. Meticulous research by Ms. Picoult had me recalling the first days of the pandemic. As an aside, I was on a flight in January 2020 sitting next to a man who had just returned from Wuhan, China.

He and I talked about the ‘virus’ what was in China and he let me know FIRST HAND how devastating the virus was in Wuhan. He felt he got out ‘just in time’, and looking back on that conversation I realize he had.

Back to the review: Diane, an art expert and Finn, a medical resident in NYC, are planning their dream vacation. After seeing a ring in Finn’s sock drawer, Diane just knows he will propose when they’re on vacation in the Galápagos.

With epidemiologists predicting an uptick in the number of cases, Finn’s vacation is cancelled. He tells Diana to go ahead without him. Although she struggles with her decision, she goes ahead and leaves the country.

Once she’s in the Galápagos, everything begins to disintegrate. Her luggage is lost. All tourists are leaving the island when she’s getting there. Her hotel is closed due to the pandemic. The island is closed to everyone and there is no transportation off island.

Even if she could get transportation, international borders are closed. She does make contact with some locals and finds an apartment where she can live. Diane meets Gabriel, a local who is a former tour operator, and she begins to question her relationship with Finn.

Other locals are featured and Diane begins to feel comfortable with herself and some of her decisions. Then. the world changes. Anymore and I’d be in spoiler territory, so I won’t say anything else about the rest of the book.

The twist is so well written, you don’t see it coming. This book is a bit slow in the beginning, but stick with it! If I were in a book club, this would be my TOP PICK for a book club read. There are so many ways to look at this story and it begs to be discussed.

I was hesitant to even begin this book. I am so glad I read it.

WISH YOU WERE HERE by Jodi Picoult is the book I needed to read after more than a year of frightening uncertainty. What started as an interesting story about coping with being stranded alone in another country during a pandemic lock down shifted to exploring important relationships with others — family, friends, co-workers, lovers, caregivers and strangers.

The characters were fully developed and increasingly became more real to me as the story progressed. The book was impossible to put down after the unexpected u-turn in Part 2. The best part was the introspection about what matters most to us and the tough decisions and changes needed to make that happen in our lives.

The Epilogue brought the story to a satisfying close, but the Author’s Note was the part I liked best. I predict this book will be another bestseller for this amazing author.

Like all of Jodi Picoult’s novels – this was one that I could not put down. From the very first paragraph I was captivated and deeply engrossed in the story. Set during the pandemic, this book touched on the shared emotions we all felt during this unprecedented time: fear, confusion, isolation, doubts about the future, priorities, re-evaluating life choices.

I laughed, I cried, I groaned in frustration. I got lost in Diana’s adventure and it let me escape my own world for awhile, until it blasted me back to reality and rocked my every thought and perception of reality and life.

The twist was so shocking and unexpected! I literally slammed the book shut and shouted “No! Stop! There’s no way!” It came out of nowhere and was perfectly executed! Put this at the top of your reading list!!!.

The item is exactly as pictured. The 3 stars are for the packaging when shipped. The box was crushed and ripped thankfully nothing was broken.

I bought this, for my son’s 2022 wedding, which is at a woodland venue, and will have a rustic theme. I think he and his fiancée will love it !

This product is far too expensive for the quality. I could go to Poundland and make it myself .

This is info I have been aware of for a lot of years, and I’m pleased that Mr. Stevensen has articulated it so well. I’m a 75yr old white conservative woman. Everyone should be aware of what has been happening in our legal system for years.

This doesn’t mean I am against the police. I grew up a poor child, but I was able to work hard to improve my life. How ever I’m sure it made quite a difference because of the color of my skin, and that’s sad.

This book is very well written, and I am/have been recommending it to many people. I appreciate the work Mr Stevensen and his team are doing and accomplishing. Thanks for making it more affordable for me.

An eyeopening, hard-hitting, heart breaking account of not only Bryan Stevenson working on Walter McMillian’s case, but also the injustices of the past and present prison system. Stevenson formed the Equal Justice Institute not long after graduating from Harvard Law School and was doing all he could to fight for those on death row.

The key case highlighted in this book was Walter McMillian’s – I won’t go into too much detail but the lack of ANY evidence tying McMillian to the murder he was accused of and the absolute corruption that put him in jail is horrifying.

I learned so much from this book and at times I wanted to throw the book across the room and cry because of the sheer injustice there is in the world. I want to give a huge thank you to Stevenson and all those who work at EJI and places like it that help those who cannot help themselves.

Bryan Stevenson is an amazing human being. He started the Equal Justice Initiative and has gotten people off of death row who were innocent or shouldn’t have been there to begin with. He believes we aren’t the worst decisions we make in our lives.

He sees more in another human being than most see in any in their entire lives. This book takes you on his journey from deciding what to do with his career to what it has led him to in his lifes work.

He believes in mercy. He stands for human decency. This book, the movie can all teach us more compassion and humility for others.

I got hooked on the witcher after playing the 3rd game never realizing there was a book series. If it weren’t for my responsibilities, I wouldnt have put the book down until I read it in whole. Being new to fantasy, it wasnt a hard read and I got into it right from the start.

Amazing characters, detailed monsters, I felt as if I had lived Geralts life in everything he had done within the book. I definitely recommend this book and entire series to any fantasy lover.

So glad I read this book whilst watching the TV series. If you’re into fantasy fiction then The Witcher is excellent. Just the right mixture of serious narrative and humour. The Last Wish is a collection of short stories providing a background to the characters.

I miss the weather section of the new almanacs. That’s why I don’t give this a 5 star, but it’s a magical almanac chock full of relevant worldly information to gain further insight into the many forms of paganism and the roots of witches.

I’ve been reading Llewellyn’s Magical Almanac for years. I love them. They are filled with lots of great information.

This exquisite padded guest book is fitting for any occasion. The “window” in front of it provides many opportunities to select one of the perforated cards, included, to be placed in it. The examples are as follows: Welcome, Open House, Guests & Friends & Family with several variations, Graduation Party, Welcome to our Vacation Home, In Remembrance, Retirement Party, Birthday Party, Bachelorette Party, and Anniversary Party.

Of course there are several blank cards to use any way you wish. The lined pages are of a refined cream colored construction paper. The durable construction of the book will provide as a keepsake for many years.

I wish I hadn’t had to purchase this book, as it was for my best friends memorial. What I very much liked about this book was that I was able to pick from the multiple labels provided to insert at the front of the book.

Blank labels are also provided. There are enough pages for people to sign and to leave meaningful messages. A nice pick to I know any occasion.

I purchased this for an elderly relative and pasted in photos and clippings I knew she enjoyed looking at. It’s a great size for her. Although it says guest book it can easily be used for this and the lines allow you to label in nice, big letters so it’s easily read.

The suede cover also is a good choice to avoid slippng out of her hands. It accomodates a variety of sized photos and when opened you can spread the clippings across two pages for longer articles or bigger pictures.

I purchased the book for my granddaughter’s 3rd birthday. It arrived right on time, in it’s own colorful wrapping! For a hard cover book, it was so soft to the touch and the illustrations were lovely.

My daughter-in-law was very impressed and my granddaughter loved seeing/hearing her name mentioned with all of the blessings!.

I love this website and love the books! Our 14 month old Granddaughter was getting dedicated and we couldn’t be there. We ordered the Little Book of Blessings book and included everyone in the family into the pages.

When my daughter received it, she sat down and read it to her right away. My daughter said she listened intently. I have already ordered another book for my soon to be 4 year old Granddaughter for her Golden Birthday.

I would recommend these books to anyone!.

The personalized book of “Little Book of Blessings” came out so beautiful and I love the story and illustrations and how my niece’s name is interwoven into this lovely book!!!! A brilliant collection of witty, surreal and provocative cartoons drawn together from the creative union of comedian Steve Martin and New Yorker cartoonist Harry Bliss. A perfect book to dip in and out off before bed or just put on display on your coffee table (next to that unread, first edition of Umberto Eco’s ‘Foucault’s Pendulum’.

) It’s not-so-unexpected success as a best seller has assured a second book of scribbling is in the presses in 2021 (no doubt to be entitled with an equally absurd collective noun, save crows). A delightful read that would make a thoughtful gift for any occasion.

Highly recommended.

Wonderful cartoons with the wit of Steve Martin. Book does come off as a coffee table book leaving fans of the New Yorker magazine wanting more. A bit disappointed that the book didn’t include much commentary from author Martin.

You’ve seen Steve Martin on TV and on the big-screen, you’ve heard his albums, and you may have even taken his Masterclass-but this collab with Bliss is like nothing you’ve endured. It’s classic Steve humor, but succinct, visual, and highly collectible.

My chidren love this book! I love how it sparks their imagination! It’s a wonderful book for toddlers who are learning about the world and how it works!!! I would highly reccomend it to anyone with small children!.

I have always been a fan of the movie and getting this series in one package at a fantastic price too was a dream come true. They are all hardcover, and I love the pages – giving it a oldish rustic feel and they were intact.

There were a few dents at the top edges of the spine but they were serious damage that affected their appearance at all so it’s livable. In terms of the story, I have only read up to the third book. I knew as I was reading it that this is a children’s book so I wasn’t being overly particular about depth of the story but I loved how it’s written, love each of the children and what I also liked about the book was how they defined words in the stories (some may find this weird but I oddly liked it).

It worked with a children’s book and yes, I knew some of the words but there were others I heard of but never really knew what they meant etc.

My daughter loves the books. However, her first comment after pulling a couple of books out of the box was: “why is there a Netflix sticker on each book?”. I saw other comments in the reviews about the same thing.

It is disappointing on set this expensive when the books are so nice to have a sticker on each book. If not for the sticker the set would have been 5 stars.

This is a beautifully presented collection with rough-cut pages and handsome hard covers. The only detraction was the utterly tacky ‘now a series on netflix’ sticker on the cover. Minus one star for having to remove them.
