20 Best Wizard Build Pathfinder (2022 Updated)

I can’t give this boxed set enough praise. As a veteran of RPG gaming since original Dungeons and Dragons, this is by far the best introduction to a table-top RPG I have ever seen. The materials are designed so that a complete novice, who has never had a table-top RPG experience before can easily jump right in, with step-by-step, easy to follow introductions to the core rules.

The value of what you get in this box for the price is simply unbeatable! High quality materials with stunning artwork! If you’re thinking about getting into Pathfinder, or you’re just curious about these types of games in general, don’t hesitate to get this!.

A great introductory RPG box. The contents are very high quality and it comes with a good amount of material. The rules set is a stripped down version of the big Core Rulebook but is perfectly playable on its own.

The included dry erase poster map and character pawns are useful to help visualize combat and can even be used in other RPG games if you wanted to. My favorite part of the set are actually the premade character sheets that have a lot of good hints and directions on what you can actually do with your character and are really helpful for new players to understand how things operate.

It’s moderized Dungeons and Dragons. Good for starters. If you never played before you will have to read/understand. But it’s made for starting players. Comes with an erasable map and quit a few cardboard figures for it.

Comes with a starter book for players and the game master. Along with a set of dice. Normaly played with 2-5 people, yes more can play but 5 is optimal. Its a game of mythical fantasy and imagination.

Were player make up character (on paper), that explore the world saving people from monsters with sword&sorcery. Its a great game and I would advise for those who enjoy midevil fantasy. Like Greek mythology come to life and your players are the heros on an epic adventure.

You are the game master who creates the epic adventures, quests, and issuse the characters face.

I have played Pathfinder for several years and I really have enjoyed the versatility of the system and all of the supplemental material which was made available for it. When I saw a new book was out, I had to have it.

So when Paizo released this second edition, naturally I was curious. To be patently honest, I can see that a lot of work went into this edition, and that it was likely influenced by a lot of player’s requests, and ideas.

That’s all good. However, I don’t see anything overly compelling about the new edition that makes me want a whole new series of books. The first edition works very well as it is. Pathfinder was a vast improvement even over the 3.

5 edition AD&D, so it was exciting to explore the new possibilities. I’ve gone through and generated a character for the new 2nd edition and it just doesn’t have the same wow factor for me. I felt that I would have better spent the time generating a first edition Pathfinder character.

Even 5th edition D&D had more exciting character development than 2nd edition Pathfinder. In this ever tightening economic crunch of our real world unemployment and underemployment, I can’t really see the value in the reboot.

It is a bit intimidating, at over 600 pages for a rulebook, it makes you wonder if you can ever really start playing. It is full of information, but laid out in a way that is easy to read and learn. Classes are explained well, gameplay rules are easy to follow, items are nicely charted, and the hardcover edition is extremely durable.

Good thing because I will be turning pages in this book for a long time to come.

I have always been impressed with the quality of Pathfinder (Paizo) products. This book does not disappoint. The cartography is beautiful. The organization, layout, and writing will maintain and elevate Paizo’s strong reputation.

Unlike the individual who gave this book a 1-star review, I am a fan of brevity. I think that a world book containing 300-400 pages is too much information. I appreciate “broad strokes” that provide an overview.

This gives the game master more freedom to work within the setting’s framework. If every detail is provided, the game master spends much more time worrying about consistency, authenticity, and continuity.

I prefer to spend my time getting creative! Approximately 80% of the text is information on Golarion. About 15% of the text contains character-oriented backgrounds and/or class features specific to the Pathfinder (2nd edition) rules.

The remaining 5% are title pages, indexes, etc. In other words, this book is also useful to game masters who want to use Golarion with other rules systems (such as D&D, Savage Worlds, Swords & Wizardry, Fate, Simply6, 13th Age, etc.

). As winter approaches, I look forward to cozy evenings spent with this beautiful book!.

I enjoyed reading this book. There’s lots of great information about the important places and people of the Inner Sea region. The expanded timeline catches up to modern times and adds some new storylines to the mix.

THe book hints at some exciting content coming up. It’s a good time to be a Pathfinder player.

This is another hit for the 2e line of Pathfinder. The world is laid out in easy to understand chapters filled with possible plot hooks and NPCs for your players to get involved with. Highly recommend this to anyone playing Pathfinder 2e.

These pocket editions are great. In fact I wish they made it in the hardcover size but with that pocket editions cover. Its kind of like a glossy soft back like a laminated feel. It’s awesome the issue of the the print being so small have to wear the old glasses.

Rest assure that me being indecisive like I am I got a softcover at a hardcover. Truth is I like this pocket version better and feels better. It feels like you can do some damage to it and not really mess it up.

In other words you don’t have to watch every little move with it, it will survive.

Use to play D&D in the early 80’s in So Cal. Now my daughter and her friends are into it so she wanted these for Xmas. Looked them over and they’re small for travel and printed on quality paper stock.

I love that these come in a small paperback form now. Its so much lighter, and takes up so much less space at the gaming table. The Advanced Player’s Guide is a great resource for new races and classes to play when you’ve gotten bored with the basic ones.

I haven’t played through the campaign yet, but by the looks of it it sounds fun. It is nice to add another beginner campaign to the list so I can play with other new players and not have to use the same starter campaign again.

Comes with 1 set of dice (no bag to hold them in), campaign book, rule book, and premade character sheets. Condition of the box and contents were perfect, no complaints there. I was a little sad that the box didn’t include any D&D Beyond codes like the Essentials Kit did.

In fact, at the time of purchase, this campaign isn’t even available on D&D Beyond at all. I think this might be because of the Target exclusivity. But still, I don’t understand why WoTC doesn’t include a free code for D&D Beyond or at least a discount code of some sort.

I prefer using the physical copies more often than the digital ones, but it is still nice to have both. But there is NO WAY I am going to pay full price for both versions. In the Essentials Kit, I got a free copy on D&D Beyond AND they included 3 MORE campaigns to play through after the main one included in the physical set.

So why they don’t at least give us the digital copy of this Starter Set seems odd. Until they start including codes in their products (or discounts) I will probably have to rate 4 stars or less.

For the price, this is the worst of the starter sets. with Lost Mines of Phandelver and Dragon of Icespire Peak frequently available for under ten dollars, you could pick up both for the price of this and have much, much more material.

This box is mostly air. There’s a set of cheap dice – one each. There’s the rules book and the adventure book. There’s a cardboard piece to take up space. That’s it. The adventure is okay, not great.

About half a dozen encounters total, none particularly creative or cohesive. The overarching story is not interesting but contrived. Overall this adventure left a lot to be desired, especially for the price.

Buy Lost Mines or Dragon of Icespire Peak for better starting adventures. Download the free basic rules and a free starting adventure (there’s plenty free or very cheap online from various sources). Get all three for less than the price of this box set.

You’ll have more material to work with and not lose anything in terms of advice for beginners.

This is the 3rd starter set for D&D 5th Edition. It comes with dice, characters, the rules, and a great introductory adventure for an aspiring (or experienced) Dungeon Master and up to 5 players. In the vein of the Starter Set’s: Lost Mine of Phandelver and the Essentials Kit’s: Dragon of Icespire Peak this set details a small area and rough sandbox of quests and encounters ultimately culminating in a finale for everyone.

This set is geared towards new players and DMs with no prior experience, and walks through the basics of playing and running the game.

I had about half of the Pathfinder books before they launched the pocket editions. The pocket editions allowed me to complete my collection at a reasonable price. (there is a lot of books, honestly).

The pocket edition books are bigger than I thought they would be and just as easy to read as their full sized siblings. Go for the hardcovers if you are a hardcore collector but if you just want the material for function over form then go with the pocket editions.

Dont forget they release all of their content for free in PDF on their website as well, but its much nicer to have the books and disconnect from screens when playing these types of games. Happy Gaming.

It is what It says in the ad. Useful book, with a format that I like verter than the original. On the negative side, it came with the corners slightly damaged.

Came on time with no issues with the print that I received. This book is a great one to have if you’re looking to spice up the classes with the likes of the Ninja, Swashbuckler, Gun Slinger, etc. Alternatively, if you’re the DM/GM, you can add some exciting new rule adaptations into the mix for your players to both hate and love you for!.

The game pieces and board is well made and very pretty, giving it extra appeal. The game itself is so fun! Awesome Harry Potter game and very book like (just uses movie pictures and stuff) and the playing of the game very interesting and entertaining! We’re not 100% sure we play the game completely correct since some instructions were harder to follow and some rules never really defined.

But we tried our best and learned along the way. I do agree with one reviewer who said some house rules would make it more fun. And another reviewer who said that the first game can be played by younger kids.

We had a 7 year old play and they did great. As the game progresses it does get harder but if they can read, they can be helped and still play. We got it on sale and with an additional circle deal. Not sure I would pay $50 for a game but it’s about 7 in 1.

So there’s that.

This might be something for a family that’s very into overly complicated board games but as players of things like Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Caton etc I find this game just terrible. There are far too many types of cards and pieces, the game comes with several sets of “games” that require certain sets of cards to be laid out in very specific ways.

Our kids were excited to look at the game so they opened up several sets of cards to look through them and now trying to get them back into their original required starting points to play the game is all but impossible.

I am not normally one to post up a review rant but I am just extremely disappointed.

This game is SO fun and offers different levels for a challenge. It’s a true must-have for Harry Potter nerds who like things like DnD. Sometimes I even play by myself as all four characters. This is one of those games that takes hours to complete the hard stuff and somehow is still so fun at the same time.

You work together to defeat enemies like Bellatrix Lestrange and Draco Malfoy and boy does it feel good to get rid of Delores Umbridge! I will say it takes a while to put all materials out and then put them all back when you are done, but it’s a labor of love because you want it all sorted properly.

It’s worth it! This is just my favorite board game and I highly recommend it. :).

I have been playing role playing and board games for more than 40 years. One of the best things about playing those early TSR board games was the stories my friends and I would create around the game.

With Adventure Begins that same game mechanic is available to players in just seconds. The rules are simple and straight forward. They allow players to jump right into the action giving them the ability to take on the Hero and DM roles.

Pros: Build quality is outstanding. The plastic deck holder, health trackers, and damage clip are quality items. The parts tray included in the box is a nice touch to keep all the components in good condition.

Con: I would have liked to see one page on encouraging adventures to create Boss, Hero, Monsters, or Back Pack items. However, this leaves space for possible adventure expansion packs in the future, or an Advanced Adventure Begins offering.

One item I personally would like to see included in the box would have been a catalogue of other adventure game content offered. It would have been a nice nod to those TSR boxed adventure board games of old.

Holding those printed catalogues always sparked excitement for more adventure with my friends. I think Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro would benefit from taking a cue from the past by adding a little printed material to the offering and introducing players to the wider world Dungeons and Dragons.

I have been playing Dungeons and Dragons for decades and found this game to be a joy to play with my family. It plays like an adventure/dungeon crawling board game but adds basic D&D mechanics. How can you go wrong when you get to roll 20 sided die? It adds some role playing elements to the game that is also a fun way to ease players into that part of Dungeons and Dragons that can sometimes seem the most intimidating.

Giving everyone a chance to play as the Dungeon Master also breaks up the monotony of just standard turn taking play. There are several “boss” monsters and enough encounters to make the game fun through lots of replay.

The different characters have different attributes and personalities that allow the player to have a different experience playing each character in their own unique way. I was worried when I first read about this game that the attempt to combine a board game with this level of traditional Dungeons and Dragons elements might result in a game that just missed the mark on both accounts.

They nailed it. Highly recommend it for anyone…from veteran D&D players to those who have never played at all.

This is a great little game if you’ve ever wanted to get your kids into DnD. It simulates the experience nicely but is easy to understand. It really encourages the story telling aspect – you have to ‘describe how you attack the monster using magic’ for example.

It alternates between monsters and scenarios as you move through the dungeon. It’s all roll to hit with simple decisions. The way the rules are written each player takes turns being the DM but you could easily be the DM for your children while they played if the concept was new to them.

Like many people in these reviews, at first I thought this game was a bit simple, boring, etc. But the more I played it the more I realized I didn’t really know how to play it. I guess the main fault with it is that you can easily play it in a very simple and one-dimensional way, even after reading the instructions.

Part of the problem is the instructions leave out some rather important details about how turns work, and also give no good examples to speak of. Once my playing partner and I played 4 or 5 games and spent some time looking up online the finer points of the rules and how each card and spell worked, we started to have a lot more fun.

Yes, there is a lot of chance to the game that no amount of skill on your part can overcome if you are at a disadvantage. But once you can play at a decent speed, the games go fast enough that you don’t let it frustrate you too much and move on to the next round, where most likely you’ll do better.

That’s not to say there is no skill involved, the best luck of the draw means nothing if you can’t strategize and think ahead a bit, and most importantly, use your cards to sabotage your opponent at every opportunity (or hold that special Spell card for just the right time).

I’d give it 5 stars if it had just a few more interesting bosses (I don’t know if it’s a defect or what but two of my bosses have exactly the same level up ability, but even then only a couple of them have cool things they do).

Also, I will always ding a game’s rating for not having a really good manual. This one is “meh”, not too bad but not good enough. Without the online resources I probably would have given up on this game, or written my own rules.

We love the Boss Monster Games. We have every expansion. But one thing we deal with often when we play is our cards slipping everywhere. This mat is a great way to keep everything in place. It also has a great design.

Also If you wanna play with more than two players just buy multiple mats and have each player sit across from each other.

I have several of the first edition boxed sets and have played them a lot. I have been through this rule book 2-3 times, and introduced 6 new players through the intro scenario. The intro scenario is good to get peoples interest started, I can be played with 2-4 characters but tends to be too short with 4 characters (only 7 turns max) so i’d suggest playing with 2.

Earlier today I played the first scenario with my wife and we had 4 characters, and played “Normal. ” It was VERY challenging and we did not complete it. I like that it was hard, we can scale it down if necessary (or even up.

) This is a very good feature to the game. Monsters & barriers are much harder than any of the base sets I have played. On average I’d say combat checks average is 12 (compared to 8 or 9. ) Monsters are also more dangerous with after affects and abilities making armor more valuable than previous editions.

Barriers are also scaled up a few points over older editions. All In all I love the changes and i can’t wait to dig in more!.

The Curse of the Crimson Throne is shorter than previously published games in this series, buts adds some new features which will keep this line fresh. The first half has many characters which you will like to see again and players are likely to replay this often.

The second half does not hold as much interest. This fourth and fifth chapters seem intrusive into the theme established in the first three chapters and seem to be present just to give the players the items and experience needed to deal with the villains of the last chapter.

There are few duplicate cards compared with previous products of this line, with more unique cards as a result. The art style has changed. Whine not bad, it clashes with that of previous games, should you add any class decks to this set.

Altogether, it is a good game, but not the most enjoyable of the line.

The most important text, which should take up half of the card, has been shrunk to 1/4 of the bottom of the card. The text is a chore to read, and every card is like this. All these meaningless flourishes take up major space on each card for no reason.

Each card needs to be inspected to see what it says. Some symbols are so tiny they’re illegible. The old system of design you could read the cards on the table. This text is way too small. The cardboard counters come crinkled out of the box.

Multiple people have pointed this out. And the graphics on the counters look like something from the 60’s. They don’t fit the theme in any way at all. Everything in this box is subpar. I’m quite shocked such a popular system could take so many steps backwards.

It’s rather depressing.

This is a nice, small (almost tiny) dragon. The figure comes with its wings unattached which makes it nice to paint those tricky spots under the wings. I painted it first and then attached the wings after with a bit of super glue.

I did have a very hard time getting the wings to fit into their slots, it took a lot of doing, they don’t fit precisely well, but I was finally able to do it. When assembled the figure is about 4 inches from wing tip to wing tip and about 4 inches tall.

The dragon’s head is smaller than a dime, so it’s taller than most D&D minis but way smaller dragons in either Pathfinder or D&D minis. I think I’m going to use it as a baby dragon my first level PCs might fight.

A way to kickstart a new campaign.

I absolutely love the design of this little dragon and had a blast painting it! However there was some excess plastic on the left side of the face which i had to cut off giving it an odd appearance. It is also very front heavy and will fall over no matter what unless you raise the front of the base with something or other.

That is just my experience though and I doubt they all have the same problems as mine did. All in all though I can’t really complain though with what you get for the price, it’s an absolute steal even with the small imperfections!.

Absolutely fantastic miniature. The level of detail is very nice, with deep grooves and lines to allow for easily adding highlights and shading. Though a bit small to accurately represent an Adult dragon on the tabletop, the model is still imposing, beautifully posed, and would work very nicely as a young dragon.

A striking addition to any monster menagerie collection! Just be aware the wings do come detached, but are incredibly easy to glue into place (superglue needed).

It’s literally a mini of the hardback. Great for when you travel your supplies around to play. The pages are merely shrunken to the books size which is about 8. 5 x 6. 5 inches, so for those with bad eyes it might not be so great.

But for those that don’t mind the page numbers will be the same as the hardback for referencing, which is an amazing selling point for larger gaming tables to share details with others who brought their own books! The pages are as high quality as the hardback, pretty sturdy and nicely colored.

I would caution that you be tender on the paper cover and back, it will show wear and tear from being stored or transported without care. Pictures are included to show my critiques.

The spiritual successor and improved version of D&D 3. 5 is still the best RPG ever made. Most of the credit goes to WotC for making the excellent 3. 5 edition but Paizo improved it even a bit more. If you are looking for the simplest RPG, this is not for you.

I recommend the great 5th edition D&D or excellent Pathfinder 2E for that (or 4th edition if you want the simplest AND most boring). I have played all of those but always return to Pathfinder and will continue to do so until they come up with something better.

If you want the most customizable yet well-defined game rules anywhere, Pathfinder is where it’s at. Plus, with the multitude of excellent supplemental books that can be had brand new for under $20 in the smaller paperback versions, you can have a huge collection of Pathfinder content for under $200.

PF/3. 5 > PF2 > 5e >> 4e.

I thought I’d post specifically on the quality of the book’s construction, because it was a bit of a gamble when I bought it for myself due to lack of info: The Pathfinder Core Rulebook as well as the Pathfinder Bestiary, hardcover editions, have sewn bindings.

Why is this important? It means the books will still be intact after years of use. In short, if you’re in to Pathfinder, the hardcover Pathfinder series seems to be a good investment in terms of longevity.

Regarding the book’s contents: In theory, any player’s handbook contains enough information for both players and GM, simply because it lays out the core mechanics necessary for the players to interact with the game world – Fleshing out the world and interactions is up to the GM.

In other words, you don’t need a monster manual, a spell manual, a specific GM guide, a campaign setting, etc. – just the core handbook. However, those accessory books are helpful in giving you starting points as you try to bring your world to life – pre-made creatures and spells that have been play-tested and balanced to work well within the rule system.

If players or GM are uncomfortable with bending rules as a method for balancing gameplay or with creating new monsters/spells/items/etc. , these accessory books become essential. and the game becomes very expensive, too.

The Pathfinder Core Rulebook offers plenty of info on race, class, items, skills, spells, and even devotes a decent chunk specifically to game-mastery. The only thing it really lacks is monsters and monster creation, so I would recommend purchasing the Pathfinder Bestiary I if you’ve purchased the Core Rulebook and decided you like the system.

Bestiary I includes many, many, monsters as well as info on creating your own. Basically, the Core Rulebook gives you the structure of the rule system and enough info to get the ball rolling, and then it guides you in using your own imagination to build on that system.

if you’re comfortable designing your own creatures without a specific guide to do so. So. to come up with your own stuff, or to rely on accessory material? The cost of additional books aside, this is essentially a question of confidence and competence.

If the players are willing to trust the GM to bend rules as necessary to balance customized gameplay AND the GM is competent enough to do it, there is no problem. But many players feel it is essential to rely on pre-made material that has been play-tested, and that’s where the other books come in (along with endless arguments over little details).

Thankfully, with Pathfinder you need only the Core Rulebook and Bestiary I for a basically fully-defined, 90% fudge-free campaign. If you’re willing to fudge as necessary, all you need is the Core Rulebook.

If you’re new to tabletop RPGs, expect some rule-bending or you’ll get so bogged down that it will lose its fun. If you’re a new GM, expect to HAVE to bend rules once in a while because no matter how many accessory books you purchase you’re going to run into situations that aren’t adequately covered by existing material.

The #1 thing to keep in mind: The Core Rulebook is a GUIDEbook. It’s ok to modify the rules – nobody’s going to get hurt. Hopefully.

I’m using this for wargaming, so I added a skeletal rider. He’s not painted up yet, but he looks awesome. What’s not awesome, is that the lower jaw is a solid, bowl-shaped piece, instead of the realistic ‘U’ shape.

As in, the dragon wouldn’t be able to swallow, breathe fire, etc. A bit of dremeling fixed this, but it seemed an odd oversight on an otherwise solid model. Minimal mold lines, didn’t need to rebend any of the material.

This is a very big mini. This has literally been the most expensive mini I have purchased to date, and also with the ‘Rona this is the first miniature I’ve waited so long for (three months). However when I got it, I was a little let down.

While excited, I felt let down nonetheless. While huge, it does feel very “cheap” and is a bit underwhelming after the nostalgia wore off. In terms of painting it, it turned out to be way more boring than anticipated because the sculpt is so plain.

I did what I could adding flourishes with green stuff, but for the price I paid, from my perspective, that should not have been the case. But it is really big!.

The fact it came full assembled is a pain. Overall, I’m fairly disappointed with it. It’s constantly fighting against you to paint it. I’ve been painting for a few years now and I’ve never had a model not wanting to be painted so badly as this one.

Whatever “primer” they claim they put on it doesn’t really work with any brand of paint I tried (definitely hit it with whatever brand of primer you normally use). If you plan to buy it and just drop it in front of your players (unpainted or with a red basecoat), it’ll definitely get the job done.

If you’re looking for something to brag to your friends about, I really can’t recommend it. Maybe I just got unlucky and got a bad model from the batch, but its definitely left me with a sour taste in my mouth.

I was long discouraged by one of the previous reviews, which says this is “medium size creature with a large base”. Mainly, because ‘large’ or ‘medium’ are categories that can include a whole lot of different sized creatures, and I was afraid this minotaur will come too small.

But I decided to give this miniature a try, and was not disappointed. Firstly, I am going to use this miniature in various D&D games. In 5e, the listed height of a minotaur is 6-7 feet, a bit higher than a human.

Monster Manual gives ‘large’ as a size for NPC minotaur, while both Guildmaster’s Guide to Ravnica and Mystic Odysseys of Theros gives us ‘medium’ as the size for PC minotaurs, likely for balance issues.

In 4e, NPC minotaurs were predominantly medium, some of NPC ones were large. PC ones, again, were medium. As you can see by the picture, this minotaur is definately bigger than average human, and would be actually even higher without the dynamic pose.

I’ve decided to glue it on a 32mm base, so both miniatures on a photo are standing on top of such bases, to provide better perspective. It sticks out of base boundaries a bit, but this way, it will be still possible to pass as a PC medium minotaur and (almost) fit into one square, or actually be planted on a larger 50mm base that is included (left one on the photo), and represent the NPC minotaur of large size.

So I would not call the miniature a disappointment. To me, it is actually of a dual purpose – the size of the miniature itself is quite sufficient, and makes it possible to represent both D&D size categories using just diffrent-sized bases.

I love this mini and can’t wait to paint it. The quality of the mini itself is superb. My beef is with Home Essentials Direct Marketplace. The item listing stated “”Damaged box. “” I take damaged box to mean a damaged but unopened item.

I understand that many consumers will return a damaged but unopened item believing a damage box means damaged goods. I am willing to accept minor damage to an item if the listing states “”damaged box.

“” However, I do expect damage to be minimal at worst and that all pieces of the item will be present. The box was so badly torn it was clear the item has been opened and was in fact an open box item.

That’s a horse of a different color; if I buy something listed as open box I know I am taking the chance of moderate damage and missing piece. I would not have paid what I did for open box on an item like this.

Thankfully there was no damage to the item I could find, and all parts are present except the insert that came with the item (I have seen unboxing videos of the pre-painted version and know what was supposed to be in there).

Please list items correctly to be fair to potential consumers and ensure they are paying a fair price. For the risk I took in buying this, I actually overpaid.

The Barbarian with the bear cape has a huge problem with the mould lines. The one others talk about goes across the face, which I honestly thought was supposed to be a helmet with visor, the sort the Norse wore back in the day.

So that one I could hide away by painting what are esentially his eyes and brows as metal. While this is a relatively easy “fix”, I know my preference for helmeted characters is not the norm, which makes this a huge glaring issue on the model.

His hand, however, is completely off center. Not even mould line, it looks like a poor glue job that results in a disconnected left hand. The bare headed model (not the bear-headed one) has a few extremely obvious gaps but nothing as glaring as a head cut in two.

Reason I’m still giving it 3 stars is mostly because this model is almost mind boggingly cheap for the quality. With the exception of the mould lines the details are crisp and clean, things such as belt buckles standing out from what is around it.

These miniatures are really good. I love the iconics for Gunslinger and Swashbuckler. Honestly I do plan on using them on a battlemap when I can get my group back together. They arrived on time and in good condition.

Currently have them on my shelf and they look fantastic.

The seemingly limited, soon to be out of print Pathfinder Iconic Heroes Set is a masterpiece in a box. For a gamer short on time to paint up their own, these minis are exceeding beautiful down to the last detail.

Most pictures online won’t show the excellent attention to detail, but there’s nothing to be embarrassed about when putting these minis on the table. Paizo teamed up with the best in the business to make this set and from Set 1 through Set 6 (with Sets 7 & 8 to debut in 2017) the Iconic images from Paizo come to life.

Paired with their CCG, these are nearly essential to play and sometimes hard to find. But the money is worth the cost.

Very impressed with the quality of this set. Quality is much better than normal blind boosters and the character sculpts are great.

Nice figures. Some mold lines and warping. Nothing some very hot water and a hobby knife could not sort out. The clear spell effects were pretty fiddly to get on. Shipping was pretty slow. The order spent nearly a week processing.

I am very very excited about this line of minis. The value is undeniably incredible and for the quality of mini you get it’s just too good to pass on. These mini’s have really nice, clean details (the photos are very true to what you get in person).

They come primed, which is a huge bonus for me! The magical spell elements are actually clear, not opaque, which I was thrilled with when I saw them. This makes the magical weapons on the mage minis so much more interesting.

I plan to paint those parts with just washes as to keep them see-through. I can’t say enough good things about these minis, and I can’t wait for more to be added to the line up!.

Amazing miniatures, just not the best for PC. Noone starts with a middle-aged to elderly character. But as an npc this is an amazing pack A++ PC quality miniatures at npc prices. If you got in at the $3.

59 price point, you will be a happy camper here. Mold lines are a little tricky, but the detail for the money, amazing. I have tested these and they can be painted without priming. Just clean the mold lines and go.

First off I do know that the images on this page are not the actual figures but the 3d rendered images before printing. I still went ahead and decided to give these a shot because I liked the looks of the figures.

What arrived looks like an imitation of what is on the back of the box they came in, the swords are very thin, like needles compared to the thicker version shown in the picture. The legs on one are also very thin imp and don not seem like they were printed correctly.

The other figure had one arm in a completely different position than what is advertised and when i opened the box to take it out the arm feel off with out me applying any pressure to it beyond picking it up.

the ones i got at least seem to be of very low quality compared to many miniatures I have seen.

These function so very well as Elves and Clerics. They are very well detailed. I’m happy with them. They’re stunning even without paint.

I am a horrible painter and very new dnd/ pathfinder player, so idk how helpful this review will be. The miniatures look really great and their stances are interesting and easy to differentiate from a birds eye view.

They can be painted in a variety of ways to change the role of the mini (for example I painted the one to the left in gold and very light blue, and the other in blacks, dark blue,and silver. One now makes for a light/sun themed protagonist whilst the other looks like a pretty intimidating villain).

Highly recommend.

I bought the Dark Heaven Ogres (Guard and Clubber) at the same time. These are a few millimeters larger, maybe a little more than half a centimeter, but I didn’t find that to be an issue, and it actually gave it some good variety on the game board.

The expression and details are great, and I was able to do some really good shading with the muscle lines. If you’re looking for ugly, look no further. 10/10 scares your players.

Amazing ogre that I bought to give some size variety in my orc army. Paint hoods extremely well. Very good quality material and it feels satisfying to hold. Nice dynamic position and it fits perfectly onto the base.

Would definitely reccomend.

A good addition to your campaign. Not terribly detailed overall it is a pretty good piece and easy to paint. Came in great condition.

A fun little game. At its core it’s nothing more than another take on Rock Paper Scissors. But it’s surprisingly fun. Cards are nice and very big. Signs are straightforward, it’s easy to understand what a given card does even for non English speakers (with a few exceptions).

Playtime is just right, short enough to be a perfect game for warm up or that one last game before ending a game night. The only negative I can think of is packaging: the box is just that, an empty box without any compartments to help with putting away the contents of the game.

Super game for 3-4, maybe 5 players. I would say six is to much. It’s simple enough that anyone can play it, but there is enough variables based on peoples actions and turn order that it’s a hard nut to crack.

Bonus points for D&D theme 🙂 People who don’t like fantasy worlds and spells might be discouraged, but they shouldn’t be, as it’s more about the fun of the game than the setting. They should also give fantasy worlds second chance.

It’s goofy fun. Playing Rock, Paper, Wizard is silly and chaotic. The chaotic nature stops it from being about really serious strategy, which keeps the game light and friendly. You can be spiteful and mean, but it’s the fun kind, not the jerky Monopoly or Risk kind.

These sculpts are amazing, but 1 out of every 3 of these preprimed minis needs extreme amounts of mold line cleaning, and half of those have too much primer which needs to be removed. So then you have to reprime them.

It’s frustrating.

The mini comes pre-primed, and the primer is a little thick in spots. Otherwise looks great and very intimidating on a table!

Had fun painting this one but it is easy to paint.
