20 Best Women’S Bermuda Shorts (2022 Updated)

These bermudas were very nice,I LOVE the waistband very much. The material is ok, soft but Im not a fan of holes in my clothing. I thought the ‘holes’ would be just like fake scratchs in the material, thats my bad.

Ther are actually holes in the legs. They also run BIG. I usually wear a large or 14/16 short/ womens. (maybe if I dropped down a size it fit better?) The material as you probaly know, makes a difference in what your size will be, I’m a ‘tweener’ to top it off.

In my case these shorts, run BIG, at least for me. Im s short 5’4″ tall, 155lbs. I would buy another pair but the holes, I just can’t get past holes in my clothes, other wise I’d buy them. Too bad this is the only color.

Aside from my personal gripes, it might be a GREAT by for YOU. So in that respect, I’d say go ahead! I really to think they are great bermudas.

Other reviews had said these run small, so I bought one pair a size up and one my regular size. Both fit quite well. My regular size fits a little more snugly, but not tight. The size up ones are not too loose.

The back waistband has some stretch, which helps them fit better. The length is great, not too short nor too long. The fabric can look a little rumpled if dried too hot or long or not folded right away, but once smoothed out looks good.

I am very upset. I should have listened to the other recent reviewers who said that this short is not the same as last year’s version. I feel that this was very misleading for time and tru to market this short as the same pull on bermuda shorts that we are used to.

I adored the ones I got last year. With these, the fabric is VERY different, the waistline is looser so they slide down, the legs are wider and it’s not in a flattering way. The length is longer and the pockets stick out terribly.

I could cry. The old ones were my favorite shorts for the heat of the summer. I wish I would have just driven to the store and tried them on, because now I will have to drive there to return these instead.

I highly recommend trying these on rather than ordering online.

I just discovered these shorts and they are awesome. Perfect length and fit. I’m 5’3″ 140 and I took a chance and bought the medium denim ones online. I came back for more color and was disappointed to see that the cutest colors were not available online and two colors I wanted were already sold out.

Only two colors are available online. Disappointed! Hopefully Walmart will get in more. It’s not even April and already sold out.

I bought these a few weeks ago because most of my outdoor/sports shorts are reaching the end of their life. Wow, I love these! 100% recommend! They’re beyond comfortable, so much so that I forgot I was wearing anything.

North Face, add more colors because I will buy them all! These seem to run slightly large. I’m 5’5” and wear a size 4. Usually I get shorts in medium, but these were a bit large in the waist and thighs, just not so much so I would return them.

I could have easily sized down to a small though. They also don’t have a liner. I’m fine with or without one, but some people prefer them.

I have these shorts in both the 4 inch inseam and 6 inch inseam, which they discontinued. The problem with the 4 inch inseam is that I chafe in them. The 6 inch inseam is absolutely perfect because it is long enough to prevent chafing, but still gives me lots of airflow.

They are my favorite shorts and I am devastated that they stopped making them with the slightly longer inseam. Otherwise, they are very comfy shorts and I love hiking in them. I have the aphrodite pants in four different lengths and they are definitely my favorite for hiking!.

I purchased the original Aphrodite shorts in 2016 and loved them. I had multiple pairs and it was all I wore during the summer. Fast forward 5 years and 1 pregnancy later and the elastic was completely worn out.

I was disappointed I couldn’t find the original Aphrodite shorts until I received these. These might even be better than the originals. The fit is really good, they look really good for elastic waistband shorts and they don’t ride up when walking in them.

Plus, with a nice shirt they look like nice shorts. These shorts are also extremely comfortable and breathe well. Some of the colors are a little weird, but the black, olive green and blue colors are nice.

The mineral gray is more of khaki color in person.

These shorts are great, but the sizing is way off compared to the ones in the lighter colour. I ordered two pairs, one in light, one in dark, but the exact same Levis shorts. The darker pair I had to exchange twice as I needed two sizes smaller.

Weird. No mention of any different sizing or stretchier fabric – which it was.

I don’t really like to wear shorts but we had a spring heatwave and I needed to try to wear shorts again. I am a plus size woman with a smaller waist so shorts are hard to find. I really like these. The shorts have some stretch and are very comfortable.

The length is good. Very happy with this purchase.

These shorts are super cute and SO comfortable! I am petite and sometimes struggle to find a good length for jean shorts (either too short or too long), but these fit perfectly, hitting mid-thigh. They also have just enough stretch to them to make them incredibly comfortable.

Definitely recommend.

I love these shorts!! Ive tried a lot of denim shorts over the years and nothing compares to these. They are incredibly comfortable and fit perfectly. The rolled up cuffs actually stay after being washed and unlike some Ive purchased from another store, the ends are actually finished.

I love both washes. Ive been looking for a pair of shorts like this for awhile because I now work from home and have a large abdominal scar, so buttons and zippers don’t always work. Thank you Walmart! Please continue to make these!.

I wish I’d seen these in store this year sadly I haven’t really think this is a better choice. I previously bought these and I really like them for basic everyday wear. I like the pull on stretch fits comfortable on waist.

The material is comfortable. I’m a plus size and middle age so I like that that the inseam is 9. 5 or 10 inches which is what most woman appreciate ! Please keep getting these in for regular/ plus size woman that are not teens in your stores.

Again the pull up no buttons and where elastic sits are great !.

I am not a fan of this brand bc they are absolutely not true to size on almost everything. I love high rise jeans and thought I’d give these shorts a try; well beyond the great length and room in thigh/hip area there is nothing else good to say.

The high rise is terrible, it rolls down, the area where button is sticks out and looks awkward under a shirt as well as the belt loops on either side of button. You get what you pay for, but wish companies would make plus shorts that actually fit real people comfortably.

I bought these shorts 2 months ago and the weather is just getting warm enough to wear them now. I ordered the navy and the grey, both in size medium and they fit very differently. The grey has a looser, easier fit and the navy fits much closer to the body.

I kept them both because they both work for me. I live in a lake community that is ver casual and nd spend much of the summer at the beach. These shorts are perfect for that. I am very tall, 5’11’ and the longer length is great for me.

They come to right above my knees, so if you are significantly shorter you may want to consider that. I love the fabric. It is soft and a great weight for summer heat. I imagine that these will be my go to shorts this year.

I may order a few more.

Everything I bought is going back as nothing fit! Your clothes must run very small! Your one size fits all doesn’t. I could not even get it to go past my “girls”! I have never bought your product before.

I read the reviews & they were half & half in favor or said they ran small. The shorts were very tight also. I am not a small lady but I wear clothes in a smaller size that are loose. Bottom line is I will be packing everything back in the bag & will await my refund.

I have been looking for years for a cotton Bermuda short that lands just above the knee. This short could only be better if the hem were NOT cuffed (a shaped, curved and taped hem would be better) and if a dark grey color were offered.

Also, some internal stretch to the drawstring would make pulling the shorts on and off much easier. Please keep making more options in 100% cotton with inseams of 11 inches. I will keep buying them.

Amanda’s womans bermuda shorts are great in so many ways. The first thing that i love about these shorts are they fit me perfectly in all right spots. I also love that they have a nice stretch to them.

So they don’t make you feel like your squished in well wearing them. These jean shorts are also very soft to touch. They feel great when you are wearing them and are very easy to move around in. When i washed the shorts they kept there color and didn’t shrink at all.

If you are looking for a nice soft comfortable pair of jean shorts these are definitely a great pair to have. And they seem to be very well made. These are definitely my new favorite pair of shorts to wear.

I only prefer to wear Bermuda-style shorts due to their nice length. I like the fit of these shorts and how the midrise sits at the hip. They are very soft, breathable, and comfortable to wear all day long.

I can be comfortable and cool during the summer months without showing to much skin. I like that they are easy to care for machine wash and dry. The color I got is a nice pink, blush color. Very soft and feminine.

They fit just as nicely after washing as they do when first putting them on.

I love these comfy shorts! I placed two orders. The first order I sized up one size thinking that they are 98% cotton and may shrink a little. They actually fit perfectly perhaps even a little snug. The material is heavy and the elastic waist is tight.

That said, they are very well made! I appreciate the thickness and weight in my aging years. I don’t however want them “snug” especially in the heat. I placed another order and sized up another size (not happy ’bout that).

I knew they would be “big” but I also knew that they would still “hold their shape” and that the thick elastic waist would still bounce back. I was correct. They are “too big” but they are “loose” and “comfy” and STILL LOOK GOOD! I purchased many of the solid colors.

I first bought one pair of these shorts because of the all elastic waist and the 7 inch length. I have a nickel allergy and cannot wear any bottoms with metal, and I prefer shorts longer than 5 inches.

These shorts looked nicer than most with elastic waists. Anyway, I LOVE them. I have since bought 6 more pair. These shorts fit so well and so comfy that I forget they’re not for wearing around the house! There is plenty of room in the rise, they are flattering, and they wash and dry great in the machines.

They also sit at the perfect spot on my waist! I hope Land’s End keeps these shorts exactly as they are except for adding new colors and patterns!!!.

I now have my go-to shorts to wear every day this summer for everything from gardening to grocery runs. What I love about these shorts is the simple pull-on style that is easy to wear, yet these avoid the matronly bunching above hip that I find to be too common with many elastic-waist cotton shorts.

I find these very well designed for curves: There are darts above each back pocket to taper from hips to waist, and the waistband (on me) seems to be slightly higher in back where I want more curve coverage while slightly lower in front for slimming effect, kind of like a good pair of jeans.

No annoying drawstring to add bulk under t-shirts, and the elastic feels sturdy but not giving. I need shorts that are longer so the length on these is a big plus. I am curvy so have found that bottoms that fit my waist can sometimes be too snug across rear after washing.

Since these are a perfect fit on me in size 6, I bought the olive color and washed/dried first to check for shrinking (none noticed) before returning to buy more colors (at great price) in that size.

The fabric is a weight that feels durable and hides VPL. Front pockets are always appreciated.

These shorts are very comfortable – lightweight without being too light, and with a bit of stretch. The stretch and the lines also cover without calling any attention to my belly – always appreciated.

They are just a bit long, and I may shorten them, but my husband says that the length is good, and flattering. Good buy for a great product!.

I Iove this brand but their clothing sizes have been off lately (at least through Zulily). I returned them for being a full size too small.

Very nice bermudas. True to size. These shorts are comfy and good quality. I love the coral color. Price was great.

I am a little fluffy (5’5″ 210-215 lbs) and have a hard time finding denim shorts that fit properly. I don’t love super short or super long, so these 5″ inseam is inner thigh friendly. The weight is perfect to smooth you out without being too heavy.

The waist is higher so no mom pooch or booty hanging out. The stretch makes it comfortable to sit and move around. I bought in every color expecting to just keep my favorite, but ended up keeping them all except for the infamous Gloss.

Just beware that the color GLOSS is 100% COTTON and substantially different feel and fit than the others. Not sure why they did that, but I kept the four, Gloss went back and all is well. Best $13 I’ve ever spent on shorts.

I have this exact same brand of shorts in the exact same size that I bought from Sam’s Club five years ago. The shorts I bought five years ago fit me perfect. These shorts (in the exact same size and brand) are way too big.

I have at least two inches of fabric that I can pinch at the waist. Also, the models hands are covering where there are rips in the shorts. They are there on purpose, but not exactly the style an older person may want to wear.

The material is soft and stretchy, but definitely cheaper material than they’ve used in the past.

I purchased ALL colors of the Seven7 weekend shorts last year, but this year they are awful. First, only one color (gloss) is 100% cotton, the other colors are a mix of cotton, poly, and spandex. You’d think that’d be better, but it is thin material-wise & runs ridiculously small.

The ‘gloss’ color that is 100% cotton was no doubt like last years because it went super fast before I was able to order or buy in person. I purchased the ‘emotion’ color in a size 14 & it was cut like a size 10.

Maybe next year’s stock will revert back to the 100% fabric for all color washes.

I really like these shorts. They are a little longer than I expected, but I can roll them up and they still look good. I have big legs so they are tighter than I like around the knee, but they fit perfectly in the waist.

I wish they would make shorts like this that are little flared in the leg, or straight instead of narrowing at the knee. The material is nice – not too light; not too heavy. I chose navy and am satisfied with my purchase.

I like jean shorts. I ordered the wrong size but took off the tags so couldn’t return. I HATE when jeans are sized by inches instead of size on line. Once I got them on and took the tags off, I released I bought too large of a size.

I’ll try drying in the dryer to see if they shrink. Otherwise, the will be for working outside.

Finally found my ideal denim shorts. They have just the right amount of stretch to be super comfy and the mid-length is ideal. I am size 10 and have the 28″ size, they are a little loose but this is my preference as I don’t like to be squeezed around the middle.

Liked them so much that I have sourced another pair elsewhere in dark denim, shame John Lewis only offered the one colour.

Very comfortable for lounging around the house. The Medium fit but we’re a tad snug for the fit I wanted. They were easily exchanged for a Large which I feel is slightly bigger than I would have thought.

Good enough for my needs and maybe they will shrink slightly when I wash them. What is strange is that I ordered these 2 years ago in Medium and they fit perfectly. Disappointed that the sizing changed over the years.

Fits to size. Soft fabric and the length is perfect. Not too long nor too short. Ordered a black pair and grey pair. The black material is a bit thicker. I tend to wear leggings or skorts as shorts are typically to short for my liking.

These are perfect.

The fit is comfy but waistband is very wide, making it heavy and warm around the waist. The fabric is very thin, like a lightweight T-shirt. And the stitching is poor quality-the back seat seam came apart in the first wash, leaving a 2 inch split.

Since it had already been worn and washed, and because I have sewing skills, I repaired the seam myself. Was quicker than calling Customer Service, trying to get a return authorization, finding a box, and driving to UPS store.

But I won’t be ordering this item again.

I never leave reviews, but I have to with these shorts. Quality: Excellent material, tight good quality seams, button and hook closure, medium weight zipper, supple feel. Length: Not too long, a little above the knee but if you are weary about showing a lot of leg or just want a classic look this is the short for you! Fit: Perfect.

I have a small waist and a little curve in the hips and legs so the bit of stretch that is in the material is perfect to fit, but not that cheap stretch that you get in most shorts when you put them on and they hug you but the cuff is loose and wavy (hopefully that makes sense) Overall: I will probably never wear another short other than these.

Bought the white and navy in 2021, both a size 6, I’m typically a 4 but like a little give. The white and navy Bermuda’s I LOVE so this yr I bought the red and tan ones, same size, supposedly same style, however this yrs version 2022 are completely different.

Zipper is much shorter so they sit lower on the waist and the pockets are a lot smaller in the front. They are an inch shorter in length this yr as well! No comparison to the 2021 bermudas. Will be returning them.

So bummed!! Wish JCrew would be consistent. If you like a certain style or fit, buy them, don’t wait for next yr because they won’t be the same!!.

These Bermuda shorts are well-constructed of soft, sturdy, quality material. They are very comfortable and cozy. They have a nice complimentary striped lining around the inside waist band. The waistband stitching looks as if stitched by hand (but not) and is perfectly executed.

The craftsmanship is excellent. Since the weather remains warm in NC, I have been wearing them to work with a nice linen blouse. I love how they can be dressed up or styled not as formally. I just ordered a second pair of the coral color and also the khaki colored Bermudas.

I wish I had been able to purchase the faded greenish turquoise pair. For some reason, I am not able to supply the information requested below so I’ll add it here: My age is between 55-64; I am 5’8 with a straight and slender body build.

Size 8 is an excellent fit.

I love how these Perfect Shape Pant Bermuda shorts, fit and feel, on me. I chose a bigger size, size 14, to cover big thighs and big butt. I will need to use a belt, to keep them from sliding down, due to a much smaller waist size.

All worth it. I will be repeating this order. Very comfy, very smooth, and soft to the touch.

They fit true to size are nice and cool to work in. Waist is at just the right height, high enough I don’t have to worry about my shirt coming untucked, but not so high it limits movement and makes it uncomfortable.

My only complaint would be the back pockets are too shallow to fit anything larger than a set of keys. Front pockets are plenty large though.

They are very comfy. I gave it 4 stars because of the pockets. Way too small. Back pockets are just worthless. Women want functional pockets just like you give in the men. This is why I usually buy mens.

Appreciate the idea as I tried this pair on that the quality of the fabric will allow me to coordinate a variety of shirts, tunic tops, jackets, and lightweight sweaters to wear for work. I can look presentable whle being comfortable for those warmer days.

These are quite sharp-looking if you are looking for something a little less casual than denim. The fact that they are pull-on is also a plus. However, they do run a little large, so I’d recommend buying a smaller size, especially since they are stretchy.

These tapered ‘bermuda’ shorts are not as pictured. I bought them because I thought the legs were more tapered like the photo. But they aren’t – legs are baggy and will need to be taken in.

Have loved REI clothing for years, but as previous reviewer noted, sizing is a chronic problem. Regular sizing (not just plus) is not consistent and more often than not it runs small. I’d really like to order these shorts but my actual measurements are exactly between sizes.

Unless I can get to a retail store (70 miles away) I may have to order 2 sizes and return one. Glad to see REI finally offering a longer shorts style again as all shorts styles have tended to be much shorter length without multi pockets for too long.

A pocket large enough for iPhone max sizes rocks. It’s a feature on top of my list! Love the elastic waist styles for very physically active lifestyles. If REI would include belt loops and a separate stretch belt low profile style, it would help those customers in between sizes.

Other options: waist adjustment like old kornati pants or previous Sahara waist adjustment style.

I have been searching for the perfect shorts forever. These are it! I sized up one (as I usually do for shorts because of larger thighs). I may sew the slant pockets down (so bad for curvy women, a zipper would have been perfect).

The length on these is great, and they cuff well if you want them a bit shorter. So excited to finally have a pair of shorts I love that let me move. I’ll be wearing these on the trail and for nicer occasions that are shorts- friendly.

Grabbing another pair before these disappear! Anyone with muscular thighs and a booty will love these. I never ever write reviews but need to encourage anyone also searching for shorts to try these!.

With warmer weather, it was time to get some new shorts. These seemed like an awesome option and still do, but with more difficulty. REI is pretty bad when it comes to plus sizes. What with women’s clothing never carrying 2x in store, but men’s do.

Plus size women getting a fragment of the choices in color, size, and stock. But most important of all, very rarely being true to size. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve ordered an 18, and it was three sizes too small.

This product is very much like that. I was off by four inches or so, with no hope of getting them on, especially not comfortably. REI, get your act together, and actually be inclusive when it comes to sizing.

I ordered these shorts because I bought several pair in 2020 and really liked them. I ordered the ‘2022’ shorts In the same size as the ‘2020’ shorts and they are much larger. They seem to be at least a size up.

Although they look just the same the size is not. That is disappointing. Now I must return them and, hopefully, get the size that fits.

I have been waiting for Natural Reflections to make a bermuda short! I love the fit. Perfect length. Leg is wide and relaxed and not snug to the leg. I bought in all colors. Hoping for a distressed jean now.

Most of all the price is very reasonable!.

I wish they would restock these shorts. I bought a pair in size 14 and they are so comfortable. I normally wear size 10-12 depending on the brand and decided to size up on these. Since I’ve had a baby, I prefer my clothes to fit a little more loosely.

I love the length on these, you can roll them up like in the photo or wear down. I hope they restock more sizes because I plan on buying another pair. So good!!.

Really like these shorts. I bought in both black and navy blue on first pass. I’ve had time to try them out now for a while. They’re good for golf. Hits just above the knee on me and I’m 5’7″ and I’d say evenly proportioned.

Not longer legged than torso etc. I have the Guide shorts which are shorter and I love them for walking the dog etc. , but when you need to look a little more classy you can go from golf course to a nice dinner as these are great! They dress up modest.

Especially good for us older ladies with maybe a bit less firm skin. Especially if you’ve weathered just a bit because you are outdoorsy and live life to the fullest. Today I ordered the khaki colored too.

They’ll probably look slightly less dressy than a navy or black, but for daytime activiites, wineries, golf, etc I think this color will look good with bright colored tops etc. Jury will come in after I receive the tan color and try them on though, because sometimes the light color shows a bit more cellulite, bumps, rolls, etc.

Overall I’ve liked this short a lot. The double button on the waist is back up as I’ve also had some Eddie Bauers where the thread loosens and you pop a button and if you’re out you’re a little bit stuck.

The double button system evens out the strain on the waist and backs up both button. If you’re playing a lot of golf and doing a lot of bending over to place your tee on the box, or picking up those hole in 1s out of the cup (ha) then you’ll appreciate that reinforcement.

Stretch in the short too makes it give to your size within an hour or 2 of wearing, without getting saggy though. If you’re under 5’7″ though I’d order petite for sure. Eddie Bauer is great to accommodate all sizes of ladies in height.

With tall daughters and granddaughters in the family they’ve helped us a lot thru the years. I’m down to 4 wardrobe brands now and won’t veer off. Eddie Bauer supplies most of my outdoor activity totally from the heat of summer with their shorts and unlined pants, into fall with their wonderful shirts,, to winter with their lined Guide Pros and fantastic winter coats in all sizes and temperature comfort.

Stay young, keep going and get outside with Eddie. Keeps you from aging on the couch when you wear the proper weight of clothing and have comfort for your activity. I have no affiliation with Eddie Bauer and have clothes from over 10+ years still holding up in perfect condition.

The right clothes truly will keep you active. I walk my dog year round in Eddie Bauer. Keeps that dog young too!.

My location is actually not found in the location field. I am in Washington, DC, so Washington is the best choice since it is required. So, I love the color red and I love the two side zippered pockets.

The zippered pockets work great for holding a cellphone and other important items. The material is stretchy and comfy albeit a bit sweaty n the waistband area when you are walking, hiking, etc. What I dislike however is that there are no back pockets and that they are shorter than previous pairs of Guide Pro Shorts I own (I have at least one that is 8 inches).

Also the front pockets are too shallow. This isn’t specific to this pair of shorts, this is an issue with all women’s bottoms. I don’t understand why women’s pants/capris/shorts have to have shallow pockets.

I typically carry more than my male counterparts, so please offer pockets that are comparable. Ideally these shorts would be so much better if you kept the side zippered pockets, made the front pockets deeper and offered back pockets that also are zippered — like the previous Travex Horizon shorts you used to sell.

Also can you please offer at least an 8-inch inseam? I use these shorts for all sorts of purposes: every day life is the main one, but I also wear them to hike, swim, camp, etc. Also if you could please offer them in a 20 Tall! You used to sell this size and then they disappeared.

There are women who are tall and larger. The 20 Tall that you used to carry fit perfectly. And I know I am not alone in that. I love the colors red, dark smoke and indigo. I also would love to see these in evergreen like the Men’s Guide Pro 9″ shorts.

Would love the evergreen in the women’s capris, too. If you are looking for more pockets and a longer inseam, I highly recommend checking out the Men’s Guide Pro shorts.

LOVE these shorts! They’re great for everything – casual, active, all of it. I get so hot in the Summer (well, year round really) and these help a ton with that. They’re lightweight, which is a pro for wearing and for packing, and help me sweat far less.

They also hide sweat which is huge, and they don’t hold odors such as BO or environmental odors like cigarette smoke. I like the fit too – fitted enough to prevent thigh rub and loose enough to cool off my legs and be a big modest.

I do wish they were maybe an inch longer though! Also, the front pockets are deep enough to hold my phone, and the side pockets are great for things like money and chapstick. Please note that the Dark Smoke color is not super dark.

I have these in three colors and wear them daily!.

These fit to their stated size. The fabric is light but opaque, with some stretch- the leg bottoms are 11 inch diameter unstretched, 12 inch stretched. The side pockets are of adequate depth. The fabric is less substantial than on the pockets on the moderate weather shorts and chinos.

The inner (against the skin) half of the side pockets is made of the same material as the shorts, and continues for 2 inches up the bottom of the outer half of the side pockets, for reinforcement. The remainder of the outer half is made of a mesh fabric similar to the lining of shell golf jackets.

I imagine that coins and pitch mark repairers with rounded ends will not damage the pockets, but that the points on teepegs would do with repeated use. The two rear pockets are patch pockets without flaps, the same fabric as the shorts.

As other reviewers have noted, the fabric does show creases, similar to untreated linen. The creases would not raise objection at my member’s club, but visitors wearing these shorts to “knee length socks only” clubs might be wise to pack a pair of pressed cotton shorts just in case.

The lightweight, stretchy is perfect for summer golf, they fit great and are cool and comfortable. Unfortunately after only two washes the blue colour had faded to a dull grey, made even more obvious by the button and zip remaining bright blue so you can see the difference.

It was disappointing that they lost their blue colour so quickly. I actually bought two pairs of these, the blue and the grey, but now both colours look almost exactly the same. If you do want a nice light pair of shorts I’d advise you just buy the grey colour ones.

A very average product. Neither does it look good, nor does it have that kind of attraction that we see in other brands providing this same product. There is never much to say when a product is average.

It just doesn’t have the feel that one would expect wearing such shorts.
