20 Best Women’S Bjj Gi (2022 Updated)

I’ve washed the gi twice so far, in cold water and hung to dry and the jacket now fits perfectly but the pants, while they are the right length, are ridiculously wide in the waist, the hips and the legs.

So much fabric for my grappling partners to grab onto. I’m 5’5″, 125lb so I bought size F2 as recommended by the sizing chart. The gi was described as having a “tapered, athletic cut” but that’s not an accurate description of the pants at all.

I like the gi jacket; it was reasonably priced and the weight of the fabric is perfect for the hot, tropical climate I live in but I’ll be wearing a different brand of pants with it.

W3 for my daughter who is 5’4 and 140lb. Out of the package it fit fine. One cold wash and air layer…she hates it. The tapered women’s fit is too much for her. She has worn it twice and I’m already going to donate it to someone at the gym.

Another woman at the gym ordered the same w3 and it had a much longer top. 🤷🏿‍♂️ Ordered an A2 essential for her to replace it already.

The Gi and service was awesome! Lightweight, soft, and comfy. A quick note, I am 5’4”, 120lbs and bought a W2. The top fits perfectly but the pants are huge. The length works but the width is very big so I gave them to a friend.

Not hating, just providing sizing info! Love everything and this company!.

After 5 cold washes, the jacket is still stiff and fits odd. There is a lot of material in front and behind the jacket arms, and the arms themselves do not fall nicely to the sides. I cold wash all of my gis together with Odoban, but this jacket is the only one that feels like cardboard and has creases in whichever position it dries.

I do not own other black gis, but the color is already fading compared to other students I roll with. The patches are nice, but the quality of the jacket is less than gi’s that I own which are the same cost (Venum) or half the cost (Elite and generic gym brand).

The pants fit nicely and is made out of soft material. The drawstring is thick, decorated, and has a very smooth texture.

Still absolutely loving this Gi. I ordered the white Gi in A1 and the fit is true to form. This Gi has what feels like a custom tailored fit. I almost always have to order A1 top and A2 bottoms as there is usually something about the pant length that isn’t true to my body type, even though I am proportionate for my weight/height.

The Lightweight Pearl Weave Gi is the best fitting Gi I have ever rolled in, period! I don’t know how Hayabusa does it but every product that I’ve ordered has left me wanting to order more so that I have back ups.

Excellent quality of construction, strong stitching, breathable yet touch and durable material, a not overstated but subtle yet attractive branding and a fit like no other Gi that I have worn. This Gi is my go to Gi, hands down! Nice and snug, not too snug, but perfectly fitting Gi both the pants and the jacket.

No chafing under the arms or along any areas where there is stitching, while it’s also not a parachute of a Gi where your hands are slipping in and out of the sleeves or where your lapel finds its way around your shoulders while training.

It seems that there is no excess of material anywhere so it makes for a nice contoured fit to the body. The lapel shapes perfectly around the neck and the cut of the jacket makes for a nice, streamlined fit around the bottom so that you don’t have excess material to tuck away beneath the belt.

The drawcord around the waist is perfect for securing the pants to your waist and after tying it off, the pants have 4 loop rings to stash the chord out of the way so that it won’t wriggle free and come untied during training.

Also, nice attention to detail like the stitching on the inside of the Gi has a nice strip of material with the Hayabusa branding which is just a nice finishing touch to add a little style where you wouldn’t otherwise expect it.

What else can I say other than that I am certain that I will be buying a few more in time so I can have one for every day of the week!.

The quality of this gi is amazing. I love that the pants are not ripstop, as I’ve had several pair of ripstop pants from other companies tear on me. The gi is comfortable and looks awesome. My only complaint is the go is thicker and heavier than I expected.

But it is a gold weave, so I should have expected this. So, this is no fault of Hayabusa. I’ve just grown accustomed to lightweight gi’s. Would 100% recommend.

I’ve purchased gis before and this is the poorest quality gi I’ve seen. The packaging itself was an indicator of things to come. In the past, when I’ve ordered gis from other manufacturers, the gi came in brand new packaging with everything folded nicely.

The packaging I received from Elite had dirty tape on it (the kind that’s used previously with lint or whatever). I don’t know if someone returned the item and they shipped it out to me or what but even the plastic bag that the gi was wrapped in was torn.

That didn’t effect the look of the product, but when I opened the package, I realized I didn’t get the item I ordered. I had ordered 2 gis with the Elite logo across both shoulders. What I got was 2 white gis with no logos in the shoulders.

Without regard to the style, the material is thinner than other gis (might be the reason it’s lighter), but not sure it’s strong enough to withstand grappling. The stitching was poorly sewn. Overall not impressed with this manufacturer.

One of my first Gis I ever bought was Elite. I’ve purchased a couple of them in the past. All A4 in size I’m 5’11 and Back then I was 250 pounds. I lost a lot of weight and now I weigh 210 pounds. I gave away my A4s as they were entirely too big for me now.

I wanted another Gi and loved the color on this one. I went off of the size chart and ordered an A3H. I washed it and dried on low heat as I have done with all my Elite Gis I’ve owned. The top was entirely too small.

Really short blouse and arms were about 3 inches short of my wrist. The pants were really baggie. It feels like both pants and top is mis matched.

As a 20-year military veteran, I was excited to finally have an olive-drab gi. I shopped around and felt that Elite’s looked the best; part of my decision was whether or not the company logos and patches were over-done.

There was just one problem: Elite’s olive-drab gi was only available in A1 or A2 sizes and the Elite sizing chart said I needed an A3 (which is also camparable with most other gis). Fortunately, a friend in class had an Elite dark blue gi (which looked great, although I wouldn’t have gone with orange trim).

He is roughly my size and he went with an A2. Based upon that, I took the risk and bought the gi. When it arrived, I was pleased. The color is deep olive-drab and unmistakably military. The quality is outstanding for any grappling martial art.

It is just a bit snug, which I don’t mind, but one less than 5 stars because of this very limited offering in sizes.

I ordered a women’s gi a few months ago and it fit perfectly so I went ahead and bought 2 more, 1 mens and 1 womens. I followed the size guide which suggested a size down for the womens gi this time.

After purchasing according to the size guide, BOTH were too big. I wasn’t even close to the low end of the size. Unfortunately I was only able to exchange 1 as I had taken the tag off the other. Customer service was fast and attentive!.

The gi was bigger than I expected but that’s okay I’m sure with washing it’ll shrink. The extra room makes for a comfortable roll on the mats. The color is everything 😍 so pretty!! 4 start because I never received a order confirmation or tracking not my first order either otherwise good.

Love it! I bought the lilac one cause it matches my hair and now the owner of my Gym calls me blueberry, lol. Only issue is the white belt it comes with for the smallest size is like, unbelievably tiny.

The Gi might fit my body but I can barely use the belt, and I’ve got a super tiny waist. Might be a kids size? Anyways the Gi itself is great!.

Lost my saddles etc’s for horse in home fire. Lost 4 dogs,1 cat, 13 finches birds,tank of fishes and Guinea pig in fire too. had start all over to buy thing for horse. Glad got boots and feel comfortable and right size.

Yes the Gi is everything that I expected. I actually use it for my karate training as a longer serving gi. I’ve tailored the sleeves to be shorter only as a personal preference. 5 stars across all aspects including company & online service.

I’ve only ever worn and used Fuji gear since I started jujitsu and have never been disappointed the product. The only complaint I have is that you guys run out of stock to quickly like your rash guards which I’m waiting to purchase.

This is absolutely my new favorite gi! It’s light weight, I love the pant material, soft and durable. The color is bright and vibrant, I’ve received many compliments on this gi just on the color alone.

The stitching is well done, no frills upon receiving or during the first few washes, no shrinking. I highly recommend this gi to anyone looking for a new gi.

I absolutely love this gi! I got so many compliments on the color and quality of the fabric. The only thing I would say is that the top is a bit long. I’m 5’1 and the top runs past my butt. I love it though.

Just wish the top was a little shorter in length. Everything else is great! Rolled in straight out of the bag and it worked perfect!.

Love the color! Fit is quite good. Fabric feels of nice quality and it washed well. My only negative is some of the reinforcement stitching on the pants has some pulls as if the tension was wrong on the sewing machine.

It doesn’t effect the function. Wore to class yesterday and it felt great!.

Purchased size C3 for my 10 yo who is average height and on the thinner side and overall fits good. It’s long on her arms, but we just roll the sleeves for the time being. Great heavy-duty gi!

If you are a female, consider this gi!!! I have never done Jiu Jitsu before, and this is my first experience wearing a gi. I am a 5’8″ female, 145 pounds and the A1L fits perfectly even after drying on low.

The pants fit just above my ankle bones and the sleeves just cover my wrists when my arms are at my sides (and when I straighten them, the sleeves only ride up an inch or so) EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. I have sensitive skin and was interested in a gi with a built in rash guard, so this was the main reason for deciding on this gi.

My first session was a tad hot, however I am betting this is how any gi would be given the thickness to be strong and hold up for many years. I am also training at a facility at the end of summer and it is not exactly cool to begin with, so I expect this gi will be the perfect weight for when it gets cold.

Customer service with this company is outstanding and I will be a returning customer. As far as how the gi feels and looks – the coat is extremely sturdy yet with the built in liner, it is so soft. Pants are a great light weight and breathable ripstop material.

I love the subtle details of the viking stitching in the light blue as this is noticeable but not glaring. I look forward to having this gi for a very long time and can already tell that it will last for many years.

Thus far the fit is excellent. Comfortability is wonderful. Full mobility. Need more time to judge the longevity but I have no reason not to believe it will hold up. Ordered a second one immediately.

The jacket is perfect and fits me very well. The fabric, stitching, and artwork are high quality. The pants don’t fit, though. They have a strange pouch on the front and are too tight in the thighs. They’re hard to move in, and fall down a lot.

I pretty much stopped wearing them unless my other gi pants aren’t clean. I bought the F3. I am 5’7″, 165 lb, and wear size 8-10. I sprint often, so my thighs are muscular, but not particularly large.

The other thing is that the gi has a very strong plastic smell at first. It took about 15 washes to get the smell out.

I’m 5’ 7 so bought the long. The waist is massive. Almost needs an in between size for those who are tall and light. Collar sits quite close around the neck and the embroidery along the shoulders reduces some flex in the fabric around that area.

I wasn’t blown away by it given the price point but as I’m starting out could only compare to my academy gi. The stitching on the sleeve then failed so have sent it back for full refund. Tatami customer services were so efficient and sorted out the returns ASAP.

Possible it was just a fluke as I know a lot of people I train with use tatami.

Recently purchased this as my old gi was slightly small so I went with the F2C. I’m very short so the arms and legs are a bit long but it fits amazing apart from this, and I got so many complements at the gym when I turned up in this, definitely worth the money.

I wish the sizing was a bit better for female gis though as I had no idea which size to buy!.

Such an odd fit and sizing they have for the gi’s. I’m tall and slender and the only gi i could buy was for a 140-170 pound woman who’s 5€ 8. Me being 5€ 10 and 130 lbs thought that the weight difference wouldn’t be too significant but the pants were huge and the top was too.

Too bad the gi is so cool and slick the sizing is just weird.

I originally ordered the Element 2. 0 in black with the teal writing. A gentleman called me from customer service to let me know they didn’t have any more in stock. He was able to work with me to find a great replacement and still get it to me in plenty of time for my competition.

He texted me several pictures to choose from. I’m so glad there were many other choices in the F3C I needed. Not many other sites offer curvy figured gis. He also sent me a beautiful purple and black rash guard complimentary.

This new gi is valued at about $30 more than the one I originally ordered! I’ve purchased gis from Habrok before for my husband and myself and I will continue to do so. The customer service and fit is great!.

This Gi and been comfortable and light while training and grappling in it. I am a little under 5’8” and weigh approximately 170 lbs the A1H fits me almost perfectly. This was my first purchase of a Habrok Gi and it was definitely worth it.

Later this month I have a competition and I am considering using this Gi for it. Looking forward to purchasing another Gi from Habrok in the future.

Sent different color stitching then ordered, ok not a big deal. But it was late to arrive on top of that. But it for well? Nope. But it’s comfortable? Still a no from me dog. Now I’m going to have to buy another gi, and what’s cool is they are so inexpensive(sarcasm).

Good thing I can go to the No Gi class until I can get another.

I’m just under 5’3, an athletic 137lbs (62kg) and I got the F3. Fits great with room to shrink in the wash (if it does). I was worried the F2 would be a bit tight in the bum or shoulders so I sized up and it was a good decision.

Really happy with my purchase and can’t wait to start my BJJ journey with this product!!.

i bought this same Gi probably previous generation. I bought my second Nova, according to the chart I am an F3; however, the jacket is long. The other nova I have, shrunk and the jacket fits so nicely.

This new nova generation it barely shrank and it stayed big. it doesn’t look like an F3 at all. The string of the pants change too. I like the previous string too. I am disappointed because I was hoping it fit just like my previous NOVA.

Love this gi, am just gutted that I’m not wearing it at the moment because the gym is closed. Re: sizing – I am a 14 bottom and 10 on top. The gi fitted perfectly on the bottom and was loose and long on the top (as I expected) but I have washed and (carefully) tumble dried the top form 20 mins on gentle a couple of times and it has shrunk down to a good fit.

I’ve had this gi for about 5 months now. This is my second gi from Tatami in the same size (F3L), however this one is a significant improvement from the last. The gi fit perfectly right out of the bag.

For the price it is incredibly high quality. The material is soft and has held up great through training and washing. The look of it simple yet it has just enough branding to be attractive to the eye.

I like the contrast with the black Tatami drawstring, it add some color to the pants. I also really like the curved skirt detail, it looks pretty and fits snug to the body. The sizing is perfect. The cut is the best part of these gi.

Tatami did a women’s cut very, very well. I am 135 pounds and 5’7″ with and athletic build and long legs. I LOVE these pants. They are fitted but not form fitting like my Hyperfly gi’s so I have space to move and they can accommodate someone who carries a little more weight in their lower body.

The jacket’s sleeves and skirt are just long enough, but it doesn’t have bunching in the back like what I typically deal with ordering regular gi’s for my height not my weight. It didn’t shrink much when I attempted to shrink the jacket to my liking, but just enough to get it to where I wanted it.

If you are a taller, longer-limbed person I really recommend this gi!.

I had to try a men’s gi because they don’t carry my size in women’s. I’m a size 14-16 in regular clothing. Their women’s weight chart doesn’t even include my weight. This is a huge problem across BJJ sites.

I was literally buying this gi as a celebration of my promotion to Black Belt. So, the gi itself was nice. I liked the quality of the fabrics. But I’m giving 3 stars because I’m disappointed they don’t carry anything for larger sizes for women and trying a men’s cut didn’t work, the top was huge and the pants were still just barely too small.

Tatami is a well known brand and should really make an effort to be more inclusive of different body types.

I have recently experienced quality issues with my orders from Tatami. I will say from the beginning though that Tatami customer services are exemplary and have always resolved any issues I have had.

This gi out of the bag fits perfectly. I am 5 feet 7 inches tall and 75kg. 32 inch waist and a 42 inch chest and the A1 fits perfectly out of the bag so I will cold wash this gi as a 30 degree wash shrank my last two A1 tatami gis.

The gi is soft and lightweight. The trousers and the collar are made of a ripstop material that is soft and seems durable. It is not like the ripstop of the comp srs but it is not like the stiff ripstop on other gis.

It is a little thicker than most ripstop pants though. The reason I have given this gi a low score is due to the following issues: Colour – I got a white gi but this is not a bright white gi like other tatami white gis.

This is like a dirty off white colour Quality of stitching – There are a ridiculous amount of stray stitching on this gi. I have had to tidy up a lot of loose ends on at least 10 areas of the gi. There is a section of the cuff where the hem of the sleeve is not stitched.

The green contrasting stitching is patchy and uneven in most areas. The embroidered logos have large loops where the stitching hasn’t been tidied up. The woven patch on the back of the trousers has been stitched on unevenly and the stitching runs across parts of the logo and it looks terrible.

this also makes the patch look squint on the trousers. Generally the quality of the gis from tatami are 100% high level but this gi is one that will stick out as the only gi from any manufacturer that has the poorest quality stitching.

if I didn’t get this in the black Friday sale at such a low price, I would return this gi for a refund however I feel I have had to return a few products due to shipping issues recently that I do not want to have the bother of returning this gi.

I will use this gi for a spare kept in my locker at the gym. Advice would be to buy the nova gi rather than this gi.

You hear this question all the time. “What’s the best bjj gi money can buy?” Now that depends on what you are looking for. Is it for competition? For training? Are you looking for style? Maybe you want something that will last a long time? This is my 7th gi I own.

And I am so happy I purchased this. I feel like I upgraded. Once you get your hands on this you can feel the difference. TORA is based of the Isami double weave (Which I also own) And the cotton is the softest I ever felt on a gi.

Being a double weave, it’s extremely tough and will last a life time. But you get the added bonus in comfort being that it’s so soft. An easy test you can do is whenever you wash any other gi and hang dry them.

It feels stiff and rough. A lot of people say this happens because you put too much detergent and don’t use vinegar. I use minimal detergent and half a cup of vinegar always and still they come out a bit stiff and rough.

But with Isami its always soft. This gi is defiantly worth the price. Made with the best quality. Plus if you like stylish gis, the patches on this is pretty sweet. Don’t like the patches? grab the double weave for a cheaper price.

Exact same quality and fit.

Im not going to lie, when I picked up my package I was not impressed to say the least, however as I opened the package and tried on the BJJ GI, it was amazing, quality and stitching and sizing was perfect fit.

I’ve honestly never seen and felt anything like this, I have whole line up of AP/Shoyoroll gi and others. I am spoken for with the standards of craftsmanship. Thank you Isami family and Chokesports!.

I am an BJJ instructor/school owner and train 6 days a week and this gi gets worn 4 of those days for 4-5 hours a day with usually 1 to 1. 5 of those hours rolling. It has an excellent fit and feel, the collar is perfect, the stitching is strong, and it is holding up very well! I highly recommend it!.

The material is high quality, no noticeable shrinkage with proper care (no dryers!) and fits according to the size chart. Highly recommended!
