20 Best Women’S Breathable Socks (2022 Updated)

I purchased this socks because I wear a 10 shoe, and regular women’s size socks just don’t quite fit. I purchased the extended size and they are great. I don’t have to pull to get them to go to my ankle and they are not squish it my toes because they are plenty long.

I will purchase more to replace all my socks that are not long enough. These socks are very soft and are thin and silky. These are not bulky at all and work great for my longish feet!.

I was pleasantly surprised when I open the package and tried on the socks. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but these socks are very comfortable and super soft. They are lightweight, perfect for hot days, and they stretch without losing their shape.

I wear size 11 shoes, these socks are the perfect size.

They are definitely breatheable with kind of a mesh at the top of the foot. I like the arch support that the socks provide not only for my feet but because socks tends to slip off my feet easily and these don’t.

These are perfect for a hot day or if you’re wearing shoes for long periods of time. Unfortunately for me I ordered these in the fall so I’ll have to order thicker socks for the colder days coming.

These used to be my favorite socks. They are breathable and cushioned. I recently ordered the 9-12. The new socks are smaller than they used to be. When I compare them to my previous purchases (socks that have been washed and dried multiple times) the new socks are much smaller and don’t seem to have as much cushion.

So disappointed. I need large/wide socks. I looked at the men’s socks to see if I could find something comparable, but they do not have men’s mesh/cushion. I love these Capri leggings. They are so comfortable and soft.

They washed beautifully. I would highly recommend them. Fits true to size.

The original pairs I bought at Walmart lasted nearly 2 years before they wore through the heel. My most recent purchase of 3 pairs look like they will wear out before summer. I would encourage No Nonsense to add a bit more padding to the bottom of the heel.

These socks truly are wonderful to wear – especially on achy feet. I love that they breathe and don’t slide all over the place on your foot. I put them on in the morning and forget I’m wearing socks.

Never have to tug or pull them where they are supposed to sit on the foot. I would happily change my rating to 5 stars if the heel were reinforced.

I recently purged my sock drawer and threw away ankle socks that were thick and bulky. I purchased these and find them to be very comfy to wear. They are neither thick of thin. I like the way they feel on my feet and into whatever shoe I wear.

The socks are lightweight and have fun touches of color. I found that the heel, though, doesn’t always end up staying at the heel. Does that make sense? When I pull on the socks, the heel portion goes more up to my ankle.

I usually wear a size 8 shoe, maybe I should have gotten a different sized sock. The sock material moves into place and stays once in my shoe, though. I like the socks, I don’t like shopping at stores, so this suits me just fine.

The socks are decently made, and the ‘vented’ material on the top is nice enough, but the amount of cushioning isn’t much more than a typical sock and is much less than the previous socks I’d purchased.

These run _very_ small and are uncomfortably tight on my (size 9, so average) feet, allowing no room for swelling; by the end of my shift, they are extremely tight and add to my discomfort instead of relieving it, which was the reason for the purchase.

Very cushioned, thicker socks, but too much compression and makes my feet hot. Not enough cotton content, too many synthetics—-spandex, nylon and polyester. Fits well before and after washing. Very soft, do not ride down under heel.

Soft & Breathable Cushioned No Show Socks. Use to be the BEST sneaker socks EVER! These were my favorite socks, in size 9-12 Black. The smaller size (4-10) don’t fit comfortably. TOO small. I line dry the 9-12 pairs I have left and never have a problem.

Fit is perfect, Never shift when walking, So Comfortable, Keeps feet dry. I wear a size 8. 5 shoe. Very disappointed that the size (9-12) I need is NO longer available. PLEASE No Nonsense RECONSIDER making them in 9-12.

I purchased 9 pairs as I’ve had no nonsense socks in the past that have lasted and have been good quality. The pairs I received came seams pulled out from the plastic upon arrival affecting 7 out of the 9 pairs and then because they’re a thinner fabric and im not sure if there’s different thicknesses depending on preference – they are shorter around the ankle as well, all of these differences and how I received them has shown me so far that quality and care has gone out the window with this company and that paying $30 for socks doesn’t guarantee you quality apparently, ive already emailed your team and still no response yet.

These socks are comfortable for both exercise and regular wear. Interestingly, I have very big legs, but they do not feel too tight on me unlike many other reviews have stated. I usually do have a problem with finding socks that don’t bind me too tightly at the top so I am pleased with that.

I took off stars, because all my socks were black or dark gray. I did not get the colored ones pictured on the top row. Also, despite reviews going back for at least 2 years stating the following: Description says: 63% Cotton, 35% Polyester, 1% Spandex, 1% Nylon Truth is: 96% Polyester, 2% Spandex, 2% Rubber.

They still have not fixed this problem. Description on website still says they contain cotton, but when you get the package you see they contain none. Finally, the length is much closer to a knee sock than a crew sock.

I was hoping for more of a crew sock length.

Bought these for my wife. She based her choice on the picture from the web site. The one with a pink solid color sock as the first sock. When the package arrived they were white socks with multiple colors on them.

She didn’t want white as we are working in GA red clay! She wanted solid colors. When looking at these socks, check the description, not the picture!.

On Dickie’s website the product fiber content of these socks was 65% cotton, which is why I ordered them. They were 100% polyester. I was very disappointed and called Dickie‘s and returned them. The associate promised to email me information about the product I was looking for and I never heard anything.

I love these socks! So comfortable. Extremely soft and light weight. Perfect for working out, intense yard work, or wear while skiing. I’m picky when it comes to socks and these meet all the requirements.

Also if your a foot sweater these hold up the job!.

The perfect no show sock rides low but they don’t slide into your shoe. I had high hopes being that these socks are brand name. Sadly, I’ve found better socks for half the price at discount retailers.

I can’t recommend these.

Ok with sneakers but one sock found its way off my heel and under the middle of my foot when I wore them with booties. Surprising as they are actually a little snug. Not the best socks out there.

I was extremely disappointed and plan on returning this item. I had what I thought were similar socks from this company and liked them a lot. These are made with shoddy fabric, feel too small (I wear a size 7 1/2 shoe) and generally don’t fit well.

Originally bought these for my 90 year old mother. I was so impressed by the quality and amazing texture that I bought some for myself.

I searched for size 9 – 11. This was fits 4 – 10 and only said so on the product. I put it against the same socks I had and the size was significantly smaller. I returned them and would not have purchased had I know that they were 4- 10 and made in China.

I love the others I have because the mesh panel makes them perfect for hot weather.

I have been looking for a socks that are summer workout wearable, and these are definitely it! The fabric is lightweight (with a very cute polka dot pattern!) and my feet were cool and comfortable while doing my morning workout.

The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because I am partial to socks with an invisible toe seam. When I work out, it just feels better when you don’t have seams pressing into your skin, sometimes causing blisters.

Other than this very minor issue, these are great socks! I received these socks in exchange for a review.

I wear a size 9 and these socks fit great, buying the 5-9 shoe size. The socks are not like any other sock I have ever worn. They are mesh like. I’m not saying full of holes and will fall apart, but full of tiny “holes” to let my feet breath.

The packaging says “Y-heel design keeps your sock in place” So true! These are so comfortable and look fun with the dots on them. I have the white socks. Do these make me look forward to exercise to be able to wear them? No, it will take a lot more than socks to make me look forward to exercise:) But they are comfy!.

Although these are a great lightweight low cut sock, they name of invisible liner is very misleading. An invisible liner would make on think that you could wear them with a casual sneaker or boat shoe ad they wouldn’t show.

These covered the entire foot up the tha ankle. It showed even with s higher cut sneaker. Fabric seemed flimsy at first but after washing seemed better. Great sock, just wouldn’t call it an invisible liner.

With such amazing shows across the board (I own MOABs in lots of versions) I was excited to try out Merrell Socks. I’ve been wearing Merino wool socks from other brands for years, and I’ll never go back to cotton.

My first impression of the socks was that they were soft and looked a bit small. I’m a size 12, and I knew the size I ordered was right on the line size-wise, but once I got it on, I was very happy with the fit.

The material was really nice – not scratchy at all like some cheaper Merinos can be. But the fatal flaw is the sewing of the toe seam. It’s just too short / tight. It pulls across the toes, and tries to creep in between my 4th toe and my little toe, which is really annoying.

Maybe it’s because my feet are a bit on the wide side? Either way, other than that, the socks are great, but I can’t make this a daily wear sock – at least not for my feet.

I really like the Repreve Hiker Crew Socks 3-Pack, this is the 3rd pack of these socks I have purchased. I like the way these socks feel, they are comfortable, make my feet feel more energic and work well with all of my Merrell shoes, including Jungle Mocs, Adventure Mocs and Moab boots.

I wear these socks as everyday socks, which can be worn with hiking boots. While I like all of the Merrell socks I have purchased, the multipacks are great, offering more convenience, as I purchase all the same colors, so I can always find the “other” sock, without effort.

In short, I highly recommend these socks.

These socks are just terrific. They are so comfortable and fit right to your foot, so there is no sagging or falling down. I love the black and gray colors because the go with everything, but I wear them with capri pants.

For my feet I needed to buy the M/L and they were just right – not too big or too small (I am normally a size 9). They feel very durable and I have the sense that they are going to last a long time. I wish that I would have bought more of them because they feel so great on my feet and ankles.

SERISIMPLE Women Ankle Socks Bamboo Crew Thin Boot Lightweight Soft Breathable Socks Set of five assorted colors (two shades of grey, pale aqua, soft sage, soft mauve). I assume I received what I ordered (bamboo socks, size medium) – package does not say and no label on the socks.

No packing slip either. Lovely socks – superior quality. Very soft, just the right weight – thin enough but not cheap. I can wear in summer or winter with a variety of footwear, boots, sneaks, oxfords, even sandals.

I wouldn’t wear them with heels, but if you’re so inclined I think they’d work very well, being so silky smooth. Toe seam and cuff are very fine – do not bother me at all. Colors are pretty true except one that looks like muted rust in the picture is actually soft mauve (maybe a substitute?) – luckily I like them all.

My shoe size is 7. 5-8. 0 and my ankles are average. The socks look smallish but stretch as much as they need to fit me comfortably. Cuff is a little snug but does not hurt. Not tall enough for a generous foldover but plenty for a narrow foldover.

I will probably order large size next time. Wore without shoes during workout, one straight up and the other folded over, and neither one slid down or out of place at all. Have not worn with shoes yet but I believe they will be just fine.

Have not laundered yet – I will treat them pretty gently. Will report back if they don’t prove durable over time.

These are more like thin stockings. Super light. For me to light. Over-all quality seed good but felt more like a nylon on the foot. This may be good for those looking for that type of feel but not what I was looking for.

Also sizing was not consistent. Purchased 2 sets of 5 pair and they were different sizes. One set of 5 was an inch longer then the other set. Poor fit and quality control.

Lovely soft socks with a slight sheen, super-breathable, lightweight fit. Comfortable, nonbinding. I wear a 7. 5-8 W women’s shoe and the L was a perfect fit. One word of warning: the black socks turned my toenails gray repeatedly even after laundering.

I ended up returning them. All the other colors and the white are fine and would get 5 stars. I ordered 10 pair and am about to order more of the non-black socks.

I’ve been buying and wearing Smartwool socks for 4 years at this point, and I won’t wear anything else! All their socks I’ve purchased are phenomenal and do exactly as they claim, and I have a variety of different types from this brand.

When I first started wearing them I noticed my feet feel warm (but not too warm), cozy, and comfortable all day long. I never have any moisture, and my feet maintain that clean feeling all day, like you just showered and dried them! They’re really amazing, and whether you’re wearing them in frigid temperatures or hot summer weather, your feet stay dry, warm or cool (depending on seasons), and comfortable every moment you’re wearing them! The socks also dry very quickly if you happen to get them wet–these are all properties of Merino wool and the nature of the fabric! Smartwool socks are extremely durable, and I’ve never worn any kind of hole in them–even the pairs I’ve had for 4 years!!!! In contrast, I tried some Keen Merino wool socks at the same time I bought my first pair of Smartwool, and they quickly wore thin and developed holes! I’m not paid by any company for this review, and it’s 100% honest! This particular pair of Smartwool socks is fantastic! I have 2 pairs of them now and they have the perfect cushion where you need it, which reduces bulk, and maintain all the listed properties above that I described.

I couldn’t be any happier with this brand! I actually bought these as a replacement to a previous pair that had a warranty issue (no brand or product is perfect), and I followed Smartwool’s instructions to file a warranty claim, which came through within a couple weeks, and I soon had the previous pair replaced.

I own in excess of 20 pairs of Smartwool socks, and this was the only time I’ve had an issue, which was competently resolved in a sufficient manner of time. #sweepstakes.

So I haven’t been the best about reviewing, I spend enough money on clothes and gear from REI and plenty of other outdoors and hunting stores that I really should start reviewing more gear. I first found Smartwool over 10 years ago when I got myself a baselayer midweight quarter zip, shirt.

I love it, and to this day it’s one of my favorite articles of clothing, miraculously holding shape and integrity after all these years. That said, I’ve always liked their products, and obviously R&D pulls their weight for the entire merino industry.

I just put these socks on half an hour ago, and I can already tell I’m going to love them. I’m about to go buy another couple pair during my errands this morning. I can’t imagine these will give out too quickly, so long as they’re taken care of.

Merino doesn’t need to be washed after every use, I frequently wear my merino socks for a few days total. After I have worn them (except for some brands that need a little dryer shrinkage love) I drape them over the side of my hamper to air-out, and will reuse them after a day with a different pair.

These socks (along with some more cheaply made ultralight merino socks) will be in my daily work, and workout routines going forward. Keep up the great work Smartwool! If I have any problems with these, I’ll quickly change my star rating, and update the text with the issues.

This will be your new go-to running sock. They are very comfortable, hugged my ankle perfectly and stayed in place throughout the various activities I used them for. I have worn these to the gym, while taking my dog for a walk, running errands and at work where I am on my feet all day.

I am looking forward to the miles I will get out of these training for my half marathon this summer! The targeted cushioning prevented the dreaded foot fatigue I can sometimes get if I am not wearing appropriate socks for extended activity – and they do all of this without smelling (you have to appreciate the antimicrobial properties!).

I have absolutely nothing to complain about with these socks – they are a very good quality sock. After constant wear and washing they have held their shape and have not started pilling. I wanted a smooth cotton sock that would work well with long skirts, keeping my feet warmer than hose or stockings in winter. This fits the bill. The socks will look good with dressy clothes and works just fine with casual clothes.

I am a size 6. 5 to 7 shoe and bought M size four packs. The foot is a trifle long if I really pull them tight, but fits quite well if I just pull them up. The sock top goes at least 1/3rd up my calf and doesn’t bind.

My rubber boots tend to eat my other smooth cotton socks, but mostly don’t bother these. Would recommend trying out.

These are by far the most comfortable socks I have ever worn. They are so soft even after wearing and washing several times. I received the socks within 5 days of ordering just like they said I would.

these are my absolute favorite socks ever. they are the perfect weight. They dont stretch out or slip down in my shoes or boots. The muted colors are perfect.

Bombas are my favorite socks. I was gifted some after I had showed interest in them and I have been obsessed ever since. It’s been probably 7 years now at least since I was gifted a pair and I still have them and wear them regularly once a week.

They have no holes or seams ripping apart. They are not thinning either. So durable and comfortable. Yes, they are pricey, but clearly it’s because they are meant to last unlike most socks on the market.

In my opinion, they are worth the money. Either buy these and they last you as long as they’ve lasted me or spend the same amount of money replacing your current cheaper socks once a year or so. No brainer for me.

I will continue to buy Bombas.

These socks are truly no show. They have a nice amount of cushion on the bottom, which is hard to find with no show socks. They also have rubber grippy material on the back so the socks will stay put over your lower heel.

This socks are a bit pricey but they are worth it to me. They are very good quality. I recommend them!.

Butter soft and nonslip grips on them. Great for walking barefoot on my hardwoods. Thin, breathable and stretchy. Love these and will be buying more. I took off one star bc they bunch at the top of my heel when I put shoes on, this is most likely bc of how stretchy they are.

Last weekend, I bought a multi-pack of white Puma crew socks and regret it! There were no “stars. ” I assumed, it was a new product. I had even spoken w an associate on the phone, since Nike and Gold Toe stocks were depleted! At home, I tried on one Puma pair: no support, quite thin, no perceptible cushioning or padding.

Washed one pair in white wash and they pilled so badly and look so terrible after first washing, I want to return them immediately! Told not possible! $20. for poor performance is not acceptable! I want to exchange for better quality brand.

I bought these for my brother – he lives in a nursing home. I wanted a quality sock that would look different from regular crew socks. Clothing gets mixed up and misplaced in group homes. These socks have lots of white space to write his name so he gets them back from the laundry!.

The last package of athletic socks I bought (not this brand) wore out after being worn a few times, so I wanted something a little more durable. These are perfect. Good cushioning, fit, etc.

The PACKAGING labels call these “dress socks,” which they are. The quality is excellent! BUT, the only thing that qualifies these as “crew socks” is the length. Based on the product description, I thought I was ordering socks to wear with my athletic shoes.

That impression was reinforced by the photo, showing white socks with a gray, heel and toe — so I’ve been very disappointed!! I feel stupid for ordering the “crew socks” again, thinking that the mistake was recognized and resolved, and NOW I’d be receiving what I really need — ATHLETIC crew socks! Returns are such a pain during this pandemic, requiring customers to stand in line at the P.

O. to ship them back. Consequently, I’ll either “make do” with these, or else donate them to the Salvation Army.

The non-binding feature is great for anyone at any age! It makes it easier to pull on and off with all the stretch in the leg portion and you do not need to worry about cutting off the circulation. I have been purchasing these for over 10+ years for my husband, who had a severe stroke and only has the use of one hand and needs non-binding for circulation of one effected leg.

These wonderful socks definety add to making him more independent and selfsufficient, which results in a win-win situation for both of us. As I stated above, the non-binding feature is great for anyone at any age!.

I have previously worn these socks in Size 7-12, so I was excited when I saw I could buy a larger size 13-15 online. I like these particular socks because of the cushioning on the heel, and that it’s not tight around the bridge (aka top) of the foot.

Just be aware though that because this style is non-binding, you may need to occasionally pull up the socks a bit (maybe once or twice in an 8 hour work day) For the size itself, it seems slightly large (I’m sized 13 shoes), but in the end, it just feels like a slightly taller ankle sock (not quite crew size length).

Very nice packaging! It comes in a nice, black box. Haven’t tried it yet. Sure it will do it’s job. Flattening whetstones to sharpen Straight Razor :))))

I LIKE IT FINE..

My mother, who is 91 years old and experiencing issues with circulation and chilliness, particularly around her feet and ankles, needed some flat knit, soft socks without tight elastic to easily slip on and off depending upon the day’s temperature.

Other brands seem to be made with a lot of elastic to make things easier to stretch on, but in my mother’s case, it was a bit much. She mentioned traditional Buster Brown socks from many years ago (including my childhood) which were always a perfect choice, and they were in her case, too.

I’m just glad we were able to find and order them. They’ve been great, without question.

These socks are a perfect weight and true to size. There is just enough stretch in the material to give a good fit and add comfort. Just what I’ve been searching for. I bought the three pack of black.

Generally I wear two pairs of socks in winter for added warmth due to a broken foot. These socks are perfect to wear either under or over another pair of socks without being too thick.

This is my third purchase of the Buster Brown socks. One of my purchases was given as a gift. I like the feel of the socks, but have yet to be impressed with quality. They are not socks I wear all the time, but only with my walking shoes.

Within a year of the first purchase, holes appeared at the heels. I was surprised at the length of life, but was willing to try again. I bought a three-pack and yesterday put on a new pair that had holes on the topside of one sock.

I gave these socks a good try, but I won’t again. They are not the Buster Brown quality of my childhood.

The online catalog offers these socks as color Rust Red. Not one single thing in your entire catalog called Rust Red will ever match or compliment them. The hardhearted controllers of product discriptions chooses to turn a deaf ear to honest and sincere suggestions for accuracy.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The true and honest name for these socks should be: RUST ORANGE HEATHER. A bright, cheerful color, that will bouy the spirit through those dreary, dark Winter months.

We have found using something like a Woolite detergent, and laying flat the socks in layers of fluffy towels to dry, offers the best results. These Raggs are the best out there, but just woefully misrepresented.

Remember the name RUST ORANGE HEATHER. Endorsed.

I love that these socks are a cotton blend rather than all polyester, as most seem to be these days. They are substantial and cozy. My only complaint is that they are a one-size-fits-all (as all other brands are now too).

Not too long ago, women’s socks came in 2 sizes, but it seems no brand offers that anymore. They are a bit too big for me, so they are really a one-size-fits-some. Disappointing, but this seems to be how all of them are made now.

Other than that, they are great socks.

I bought this a couple months ago. I live in a cold climate in winter. I like this sock as an alternative to wool or smart wool when you want something a little lighter yet still a winter sock. It is feels more like a cotton blend yet holds up in wet conditions.

Fits well, keeps its shape for the most part, but can become stretched if worn taken on and off throughout the day and you walk around in your stocking feet.

I’ve purchased 3 packages of the three packs so far to replace my no show bombas. The major difference is the no slip grip at the heel. Bombas and many others I’ve tried have too much of the no slip inside the heel causing it to bunch up inside the back of the shoe making it almost painful or hard to flatten out.

These have just enough to keep the sock from slipping around without being too much and causing a problem. Sizing is perfect and very soft. I never put mine in the dryer though.

Sales person recommended these socks and I’m so glad I took her advice! I walk 8 miles a day and these socks are perfect! Very comfy, Loved then so much went back and bought another 3 pkg! These socks are great as they don’t show and they have a no slip grip in the heel so that they don’t slip down in your shoe! They are a nice weight, not too thick. I would highly recommend these socks but would recommend sizing down unless you have larger feet.
