20 Best Women’S Compression Shirt (2022 Updated)

I started using the Posture Shirt over a decade ago. I work full time as a general contractor (I physically work with my team every day, I am not a standby contractor. The work is very physical and demanding).

Three times a week, starting at 3:00 a. m. , I work out for 2 hours then run 7-10 miles before work, then work an 8-10 hour day. I am also a member of this nation’s defense forces. Before I started using the posture shirt, my back, shoulders, and neck would become stiff and at times, tighten by the end of the day.

This was uncomfortable and was slowing me down. After seeing an article in the Orange County Register about Alignmed, I decided to give it a try. I drove to the Alignmed office for a fitting (I don’t live far from the office).

Everyone at Alignmed was very nice and all were wearing the shirt. After getting fitted and wearing the Posture Shirt for about a week, all the stiffness and tightness went away. From that day forward, I’ve been comfortable.

I don’t generally do reviews unless the product exceeds all expectations and beyond, your product has achieved both! I learned of your product searching online. After many months of numbness/ pain in my right hand , along with chiropractic, inversion, acupuncture, acupressure treatment, the shirt made the biggest impact!! It corrected my posture while I was pruning 1000’s of wine grapes and playing professional French Horn! I now just wear the shirt when feeling worn out from a heavy work week and the start of pruning season.

The wife is now having issues and was looking at other products. I’m going to surprise her with the shirt and leggings. If she is pleased, the heavens will open for me! Her scrutiny is intense! Thanks for the positive help your product has provided!.

This shirt gives me accurate feedback where I am in space without restricting full movement. Three weeks ago I was nearly hit by vehicles in two different crosswalks on the Plaza in Kansas City on the way to Unity church.

I pulled a hamstring, rotator and adductor. The second vehicle brushed me and I did my second matador twirl, but the fast twitch muscles were not firing in this 74 year old man, thus injury. I am now recovering rapidly thanks to wearing the shirt 18 hours a day.

I’d like to preface this by saying l am trans* and I struggle with sensory issues, my review primarily pertains to those things and may not be applicable to other folks. I bought two of the TomBoyX Compression Top (so you may see my review twice), hoping to find a new more comfortable binder or something akin to one.

Here are my main issues with it: 1) The rise on the side under the armpit is too high and causes some chafing and discomfort, the sides almost feel more compressing than the bust and hurt after wearing it a while.

I don’t have broad shoulders either, so I’d think it would be worse for someone who does. 2) The material on the inside of the Compression Top is irritating to my skin and my sensory issues. The mesh-like fabric is a very tight mesh weave, and thin, so it might not be irritating to other folks.

But in my opinion, the outside colored part of the Top is actually more comfortable than the inside of it. I can only wear this top inside-out which sucks because it defeats the point of the cute color.

When I do wear it inside-out it is comfortable enough (bearing in mind the fore mentioned issue). 3) It doesn’t have good compression. The compressive layer which is a sort of mesh-like fabric (see #2) lines the entire garment not just the front bust, which puts a compressive layer on your sides and back that tenses those muscles and makes my back ache after a while like I’ve been hunching over a computer all day (when I haven’t).

It doesn’t bind or compress my chest anymore than a typical sports bra and is less comfortable. The positives I have for it are: 1) The color is almost identical to the online pictures, very bright and fun 2) The coverage is good, it covers my whole chest without having it spill out in places and tuck up under my bust like the TomBoyX Regular Soft Bras does.

3) The seams are great! I’ve yet to have any issues with fraying or breaking as they’re really solid wide double overlock-looking stitch (I think I’m not much of a seamster). Notes on my body type: I am 5’6, 125 Ibs, and my chest is usually a medium ( 36” Bust, 29” Under Bust, 19” shoulder width).

For context: Nonbinary, B cup, been on T for a little over a year and wearing binders for a decade. I’ve tried Underworks and GC2B. Those brands both bind well but I’ve always had the problem of the hem eventually warping and becoming visible through shirts over time.

I was drawn to the TomboyX compression top because it has the same/similar elastic hem as their bras/swim tops. So far it looks like it’s going to hold up a bit better in comparison to the other brands! It does however come with the caveat of not binding the chest as well.

BECAUSE of this however, it is more comfortable and easier to wear for longer periods of time (full work day in busy retail environment) and there has been a considerable difference in it not affecting my GERD as much which has always been a problem when wearing binders.

So for these reasons I give it 4/5 stars for being comfortable, solving the hem rolling/warping problem, and being a little easier on my body so my GERD doesn’t act up as much. Despite it not binding as well as other brands, it’s a solid go-to in my wardrobe so I can prioritize being more physically comfortable throughout the day even though I’m a bit more self-conscious about a “less masculine” chest.

I would be more hesitant if I had a larger chest which seems to be a reoccurring issue from many reviewers 🙁 I wonder if TomboyX would consider making this in another version with stronger binding capabilities to provide more options? I also wish this product wasn’t listed under the “bralette” section :/ TLDR; Pros: Hem likely won’t warp/roll up over time, softer and more comfortable than Underworks/GC2B, doesn’t aggravate GERD symptoms as much as other brands Cons: More expensive and doesn’t bind as well as Underworks/GC2B.

I’ve been wearing Under Armour women’s Tech Long Sleeved Crew tees for several years now. I like that they are somewhat loose but not overly baggy, that they are durable, that they wick sweat away efficiently, and that they are reasonably priced at just $25.

The only issue that I’ve had with these UnderArmour shirts is that, like other UA products, they tend to develop a funky smell after awhile even when they are washed immediately after a workout. There is just something about the fabric that holds on desperately to oils and smell from the skin.

I’ve tried soaking in vinegar and washing in hot water but that didn’t work. The only thing that I found that would help with the “funk” was a laundry detergent specifically formulated for strong smells and heavy soiling.

That product is pricey, though, so I use it only for small loads of my Under Armour items. In any case I would still recommend these shirts to those looking for long-sleeved tees for both working out and for just hanging around.

Likes: comfy, for working out, stretchy, moves with you. Good for wearing around the house if you’re doing chores and getting sweaty. pattern and fabric hide sweat marks. Good for wearing outside when it’s humid and you want to hide your sweat but I think it only hides it bc of the dark color and pattern I got.

Dislikes: I prefer cotton bc it is more comfortable to me. This tee doesn’t wick sweat away. It doesn’t have odor fighting power as it claims. It make a lot more claims that it just doesn’t deliver on.

Still, overall it’s not terrible and I do wear it a lot to the gym.

Love the lightness and comfortable touch. So when my old ones in pink and blue worn out, I bought another two. Unfortunately, the pink tee I received today does not look pink at all. It’s more a peach colour instead and the other colour of this tee online are all very pale colour based.

Please bring back some brighten colour to suit different skin complexion.

I tried this in a Large (12) and XL (14). I’m 36A-34-41 and 5’9″. The L seems to fit me best because I didn’t want a tight compression fit, and the length covers my bottom, which is what I was looking for.

I wish the straps were adjustable because I’m a little tall for the fit: the bra sits a tiny bit higher than I’d like, and the straps are little tighter than I want them to be. Strangely though, the bottom of the Large is a bit loose and puckers on my 41″ hips.

I expect a compression top to be a bit snug. The XL was better for my height, but the rest of the top was much too loose at that size. I found the bra pads to be little lighter/thinner than what I usually get from Jockey Modern Micro Seamfree Cami Strap Bralette (I usually wear an XL in those for a comfortable bralette), but these are ok.

I also would have liked the armpit area to be a bit higher to conceal any bulges. Oh well, not perfect, but sufficient. I misread a review that mentioned cotton and didn’t realize that this is not made of cotton.

It’s soft and comfortable though, but the material is much thicker than I expected. I hope my review helps you! I always find it difficult to shop online because of sizing and misleading pictures hehe 😛 And big thank you to everyone who wrote reviews to help the rest of us out! Happy holidays :).

I was beyond pleased with these tops. I usually buy from Lorna Jane or Alo Yoga and I thought I’d save my wallet and give these a try. I purchased a few options from Amazon and these yoga tops were by far my favorite.

The fit was nice and snug, the quality feels like Alo Yoga (that says a lot !!!), very comfortable and they are super cute. I had to order more. I can get 3-4 for the price of one and the usual brands I buy from! They are extra long FYI, which gives it that Yoga top look.

So the hem ends below the hip bones. I’m 5’ 5” 115lbs and 34B-C and ordered an XS (0/2). They fit so perfect! I rarely rave or leave reviews, but i had to say something because these tops exceeded my expectations.

Material is fairly stiff, the seams on the underarms dig in and make it uncomfortable. Not the best to wear working out as it rides up. It is long though so if it does ride up it’s not the end of the world.

I hate fidgeting with my clothes during a HITT workout so I was fairly annoyed when I did have to adjust regularly. I’m 5’5″, 115lbs with small bust. I ordered a small and overall the fit is good for that size.

Honestly Don’t think I’ll buy anymore of these. I’m a little bummed because I love their shorts and love that the cut is similar to a Lululemon Top, but it certainly needs improvement.

Fantastic top! Very comfortable. Material is thin and mesh-like, great for wearing whilst playing sport. Very breathable, moisture-wicking fabric enables you to stay cool, sweat-free and also odour-free which is a plus.

Keeps you warm during cooler days/nights when playing sport. Washes easily!.

Fantastic top. I loved this so much that I bought another one the next day. Great base layer. Flattering without being too tight and fots true to size. Its nice breathable, light weight fabric that somehow keeps you warm.

This is my go to winter workout top. Its alos great to throw on under a puffy vest for casual atire becuase it dosent really look like a workout top but keeps your arms warm without making you overheat under the vest.

I wish it came in more colours and they kept it in stock long enough fo rne to snap up a few more!.

Great in-between weather top for spring or autumn. Colour is very much a neon pink – much brighter than the website photo. Substantial length for those longer in the torso or wanting more coverage. True to size, though not super fitted.

Light and comfortable moisture-wicking material.

At first I thought how am I getting it on then wondered how I’m getting it off. But I found the right technique for both and love this as my every workday undershirt. I don’t have man boobs but when wearing certain materials my nips would slightly protrude enough for me to feel a little uncomfortable about it.

My regular cotton under tees would help but just wanted something a bit more fitted. This undergarment took care of that very well. Some may have complained about too tight but I think that’s what it’s supposed to do at first you may feel it to be a smidge difficult to breathe but it’s prolly cause you’re not use to the pretty tight tight fit.

I felt like a superhero cause of how tight it was. It also doesn’t ride up and tucking in shirts can look very clean oppose to regular cotton under shirts which I used to use until this bad boy. It was a game changer.

I wear large shirts regularly and that’s the size I purchased. I also have a white one that I’ve been using for a couple of months. I hand wash and hang dry just so I don’t risk messing up the the fit.

It will stretch with consistent use but not to the point that is gets too loose. Wish the price was a bit cheaper but I use it 5 out 7 days a week so it’s worth it. Also it won’t make you appear slimmer although it may for some but it definitely will not make you look bigger.

Personally I feel slimmer wearing it. Oh and it’s also not noticeable under your shirts either, with certain materials you may see it slightly but not to the point of personal distraction.

I’ve worn this two days in a row and so far, I like it. It helps force proper posture, pretty much gets rid of love handles, makes the chest look better. Doesn’t perform a miracle in the belly, though.

I wear a 44L coat and weigh 205 and the Large is the right size. I don’t have much of a problem with it riding up as it’s a long garment. However, it’s slick so a tucked in shirt tends to move sideways, pull out a bit.

I don’t have problem getting out of it as the arm holes allow a lot of movement. Putting it on takes a little time. When it’s half on, it resembles a sports bra so if that bothers you, don’t look until it’s on properly.

On a hanger, it also resembles some kind of lady’s garment. If it holds up through a couple washings, I’ll definitely buy one or two more.

I bought this shirt because I have gynecomastia and wanted something that would compress the chest. Just in case this one did not do what I wanted I also bout two other similar shirt from two different brands (underworks and spanx).

I tested all of them and kept this one and the underworks shirt. I returned the spanx because it is expensive and does not compress anything very well. This shirt is perfect for everyday attire because it provides compression and is also EXTREMELY comfortable and relatively easy to put on and take off compared to the underwork shirt.

The underworks shirt provides more compression and flattens better but is a lot more difficult to put on and take off so I use it for special occasions where high compression is desired. I wrote this review for people who have gynecomastia and are comparing compression tanks to buy.

I was looking for a more breathable fabric so I switched this up for something merino. This will work for someone who is looking for a thick base layer. Seems quite warm. Very flattering fit. The dark blue is a stunning colour.

Awesome top, love it! Perfect weight, not too heavy, not too light, very warm with a soft lining. I am usually between a medium and large size top, 5’4″. I purchased a large and the fit is a little loose and flattering.

Definitely will look for other colors.

I purchased this shirt to wear when walking outside on cold mornings. It is perfect. Nice and snug. Keeps me warm enough. Comfortable. Worked out perfectly.

I LOVE the fit of this shirt. It’s incredibly flattering and gives you a nice hourglass waist and is slightly longer in back. It is SUPER comfortable, in a non-pilling material that looks nice. Inside is a fine fleecy sort of material, but the shirt isn’t thick or bulky.

It’s very lightly lined. I even bought one to sleep in my chilly place, and want more colors! It’s better than any name-brands of this type of shirt. Other brands are too boxy, have too tight a neck or arms, or fit too short.

This one is cute, slimming, and extremely comfortable. I wear it daily! I don’t find them to be snugly fitted, unless I ordered an XS, maybe. I have both a Med and a Small and like both fits a lot. Both are flattering; the S skims my physique and still isn’t tight anywhere, and the M is cutely looser in a ‘popcorn and movie night’ kind of way.

5’3″ 123# gymnast type of physique. I loved the black. The white is REALLY white. Would love a dark charcoal, a grayish purple, teal or sky blue, and cream color!.

Wore to a football game in 30 degree weather. I had a hoodie and my coat over it. Kept me warm throughout the night as it got colder. Wish I would have gotten the black instead of the white, but the store was out.

Absolutely love the DSG apparel. The material for this top is soooo comfy with the perfect amount of stretch to it. I have a similar Under Armor top and this one is much better! The thumb holes on the sleeves are an added bonus.

This compression shirt is nice and snug. I generally buy a small, but wanted to wear this over an under layer, so I had to go up one size; up 2 sizes would have been ok too. Color is beautiful; I got blue.

Good fit, very comfortable. Loose at the wrists, so I don’t usually use the thumb holes, but maybe I ordered the wrong size for me. Love them anyways! Will buy again!

The picture of the tank top is pretty accurate so if you don’t like the waistband of your high waisted leggings showing this isn’t the top for you. Otherwise the material is very nice.

Beautiful color and quality. No padding though so an exercise bra or some type of support does need to be worn. I bought a second one in a different color!

I’m a little disappointed that colors are not solid. But they will work with the shorts I am pairing them with. Also wish there was a solid white, black and navy in the mix!

This is a great compression top. I have always been impressed with 2XU compression bottoms and shorts. Same quality for this long sleeve top. Nice silver styling accents as well which look great again the black base.

This compression top does the trick. Compression in the arms, much better compression then the leggings they offer. Compression feels stronger and tighter. No compression throughout torso. Overall happy with it.

Not sure if I would reorder.

I have worn 2XU bad layers before & found the Medium size fitted well. I have not changed size significantly however this base layer was far too short on my body and kept riding up my stomach when I ran – not comfortable or warm! I have given it to my 13 year old daughter as it’s more of a child size.

very good compression! not a corset so don’t expect there to be no give. I put on a bit of weight around the middle during quarantine, and it’s been great for the few formal events I attended in slimming me up a bit.

for reference, I’m 6′, ~190, 33 in waist, broader shoulders, 44in chest, with a small pudge round the lower belly. the Large works just fine in slimming my appearance without restricting my breathing.

it’s not a solve-all but it has been good motivation for me to continue to eat better and stay moving. hopefully that helps you in selecting a size should you want it.

Im using the product for back support following a medical procedure. I think the product is great. I rate the product a 4 only because it is a bit challenging to get on and off by myself. I definitely recommend this product.

The actual product says moderate support. The shape of the shirt is not anatomically correct. The sizes are not correct. And the service is so-so: they reply but offer no actual solutions. In the end I lost 80€ on 2 shirts no-one can wear, since returning is basically the same cost as original order.

bought this to replace my older, turtlenecked under armour. love that this version isn’t a turtleneck, i used to find that a bit suffocating. i also love that my new one has thumb holes. i was usually pulling the sleezes to cover my hands before, so this is a nice change.

it’s looser towards the bottom/end of the shirt. i know for compression it’s meant to be a tighter fit, however in this newer version, i didn’t feel quite like a sausage as i had previously. i bought mine in-store, so it was nice to compare sizes and brands.

i was torn between this and a nike version that was the same price, but felt this was the better choice.

Bought for my daughter to wear under her softball jersey during colder fall games. It’s slightly thicker than some undershirts and has the slightly longer sleeve with thumb holes. It does exactly what it should while remaining sleek and not interfering with her movement.

Bought this for a 5k I was doing in March. It was freezing that day but my arms and torso stayed pretty warm. The thumb holes were great too because I could cover up my hands a little bit more too since I forgot to bring gloves.

I would recommend this shirt.

Ideal for trail running and road racing, it is forgotten by its lightness and dries at high speed. Conforming size (I took an M as with other brands).

Fits in just nice, except of you have tummy it needs to be trimmed as it follows the curve of the body. Not compressed type.

The tshirt is extremly light and comfortable. Size is perfect

Perfect jersey for running especially in autumn and winter temperatures, both as underwear under a jersey, and as a single garment. Breathable when needed and warm when needed. Excellent price and precise and punctual shop.
