20 Best Womens Fedora Hats (2022 Updated)

This is a gorgeous, quality hat and the vintage ribbon is a perfect accent to the style. I bought mine as the finishing touch to a show outfit for taking Baroque horses in the ring, and I recieve compliments every time I wear it.

The S matched the measurements of another hat I have that’s nice and snug – which I wanted as I have to run wearing this – however I underestimated just how small this runs. Don’t make my mistake! Steaming and minor reshaping have helped a lot for mine, as has sewing in ribbons so that I can tie it on rather than warp the brim pushing it right down.

I absolutely should have sized up, but otherwise have no regrets about purchasing this beauty.

Love this hat! I had originally bought the Phoenix hat without realizing it was a smaller brim. I’m all about the bigger rim, and this Sierra hat definitely does that! The ribbon is gorgeous too and adds a bit of character to it.

I was debating between the small and the medium, and after talking to a customer service rep, I decided to go with the small. I definitely wish I went with the medium though. It fits, but is tight and hurts my head a bit.

I’m going to attempt to stretch it out. But if you’re between sizes or on the verge of one, I certainly recommend sizing up.

This hat is absolutely beautiful. It looks exactly like it did when I first viewed it. There’s no doubt that I will ordering several more. Because your colors are so beautiful. This is the only thing that concerns me.

And that is that when I looked at my hat. I noticed that the bow side that I’d put my stick pin, & feather on was on the right instead of the left. All of my hats the bow is on the left side, not the right side.

Is this a female hat that I’ve recieved. ? The hat looks as though it’s a Unisex hat but why is this bow on the right side. ? Otherwise my personal rating is most definitely 5 ⭐’s in the overall appearance of the hat.

The color is unusually intriguing and the quality is excellent. I will be ordering more hatsbut I need to know are all these bow on the right. ? or like I said the hat could definitely be worn by both genders, but with this bow being in the right I’d have to assume it’s really a female hat.

I have a very small head even the smalls in LOC hats are a little big on me, but I do love the color and versatility of this hat! It goes with pretty much everything and is the perfect addition to any season.

However I do tend to reach for my Ivory Rancher more! Personal preference I guess! I will say I wear it to work quite often and working in retail I’m always complimented on my appearance, the number #1 comment I get is how expensive my hats look! And they are pricier but soooo worth it!.

This is a very nicely made substantial hat. The color favors more green than grey. It runs large. My head size fits measurements for a larger small or smaller medium. I ordered a small since reviews said it runs large and is not adjustable.

It fits my 6 7/8 head well without inserts of any kind. My reason for 4 stars is because it was placed incorrectly in the box so the brim in front is misshaped. Because the whole look of the hat features a straight, firm brim it alters the look.

I’m hoping it will settle on it’s own but if not I may have to send it back. Any suggestions for straightening the slightly misshapen front brim?.

First of all, this hat is orange. Felt may be an ingredient in this hat, but it’s definitely not the main ingredient. It’s very thin and stiff. It almost feels like felt covered cardboard. The band is a super thin ribbon that is visibly stitched on.

Definitely not worth the money. There are loads of other ethical cool hat brands out there in the same price point. Spend your money elsewhere.

I love the color of this hat so much but whenever it is slightly hot out one side of the brim curls up and the other stays flat which maybe wouldn’t bother me so much if the entire brim did that but it’s only the one side.

I have to steam it anytime I want to wear it and if it’s hot out I can’t wear it! I have to constantly be pressing it flat with books and I would love to just put in on the hat rack and be able to grab it when I want to wear it! For a $150 dollar hat I feel like I shouldn’t constantly have to be reshaping it.

One star for the color very vibrate.

I was in between a L and XL and ended up trying both. L was too tight but XL was too big– it just looked huge on my head, even if I made it fit better with the adjustable headband inside. The brim was an awesome length and style, but the crown did not work at all for me.

It was too wide and it didn’t look right. I have other hats that are a similar style that fit great and I love, so I don’t think it was just me or my big head (haha). I also didn’t expect them to be as stiff as they were.

Super bummed I had to send these back and pay the restocking fee. No other hats are similar enough to this style with a big brim that I wanted to try, so exchanging didn’t make sense for me.

Well, I actually bought this hat for my girlfriend. It was the first “Miller” for her, however I bought another style earlier in the year. She requested a small, it arrived in great packaging and was perfect, except it was too small.

It was actually a pleasure to exchange it for a medium, no hassle and quick delivery for the replacement. She loves the medium Miller and it’s so fitting for Palm Springs! Thank you Gigipip!.

I LOVE my Miller. It was true to size and fits perfectly. The ability to make it a little snugger on windy days is a nice added bonus. It’s quite a large hat, larger then I’m used to so I thought it would overpower my head, but that is definitely not the case.

Every one of my friends who has tried it on has pulled it off effortlessly. It’s the most beautiful colour, and the quality is excellent. The only reason for four stars and not 5 is I found it hard to clean.

I had some dirt on it and although I followed the instructions on the website, I found it difficult to spot stain.

I love this hat but I feel like it sits a little high on my head where I prefer hats to sit lower. Perhaps it is the style but I have found all g&L hats to be a little too small in the band. I’d love for you to consider 2 sizes; the current being the S/M and maybe a 24” band as the L/XL.

I started out with a size L, normally I would order an XL, but after reading the reviews, I decided to order a size down. The L was way too big, especially in the shoulders. I fiat may received the exchange in a M and the shoulders come half way down my bicep and the arms a tight.

But it was still better than the L. I ordered the item on January 1st, and sent it right back, it took over 3. 5 weeks to finally receive the new one. The exchange procedure was really difficult and because I had gotten it on sale, I had to wait for them to process the return which took forever.

After many emails back and forth, I got the new one. I will not be ordering again for this reason, if it doesn’t fit, it’s a pain to send it back and no matter what, you have to pay to send it back. I shop on line a lot and most companies will send a return label for no charge! I love their stuff, but if it doesn’t fit, it’s a real hassle!.

I got the buffalo plaid in red and black when it was relisted. I love the shirt however the quality is really lacking. It is a very thin shirt and the second time I wore it the forearm seam had a hole and the fabric was fraying down the seam toward the cuff.

The arms were not tight on me or anything. Its just that the fabric they made does not seem to be properly woven or sewn together to prevent the seams from fraying where the fabric meets. Grace and Lace was great about refunding the money for the shirt though! I just wish it was better made like the material on the Lace Up Plaid which is still light but with much better quality material.

A month or so earlier, I bought a different Walrus hat from Fashionable Hats. That one fit — a medium — as expected. So when I decided to get another hat (this one, the Compass) I bought a medium. It did not fit.

It was too tight and left marks in my forehead. Maybe it’s the difference between a crushable hat and a firm hat. I don’t know. Luckily I have a hat stretcher. After some careful stretching, the hat enlarged just enough to fit fairly well.

Still, the front brim prefers to stay up or level — not the way I prefer wearing a hat prefer.

Initially, I purchased 2 of these. I liked them so much that I purchased 2 more. One in each color offered. But above all else, their customer service is above and beyond good. True professionals. 2 of the 3 hats were damaged during shipping.

Exchange was absolutely painless. Truly “No Questions Asked” return and exchange policy. I’m very satisfied with the product, price, and more than everything else, customer service. You have a lifetime customer with me.

In wool Fedoras, I have two Baileys, one Dobbs, one Stetson, this Walrus Compass is a nice hat. It is a hard shell like the others, but the wool is thicker, it has real heft. Satin lined, leather sweat band, it’s just a nice hat.

Keep in mind it is a 2″ brim, I like 2 3/8 to 2 1/2, but it is still terrific. I got the olive color, which rounds out the basic colors for me of black, dark brown, gray, tan and olive/jade. For whatever it’s worth my head measures 23 3/8, which puts me at a 7 3/8 or a large.

I always get an XL and for me they seem to fit down on my head better.

THIS IS NOT A FEDORA. I own several fedoras but didn’t have the color selected. So I purchased online and when it arrived it was all folded up and I decided to just give it a try, this thing is a darn floppy style hat.

🙁 wrong description guys. Fedora’s have stiff brims and can be packable but this aint nothing but a floppy hat. DISAPPOINTED AND WASTED imma just have to save and get me a LackofColor hat.

Came totally smushed and cannot take the wrinkles out of it. Sadly I will be returning this one. It’s packable in that you can fold it but cannot wear bc it looks like a mess.

This hat is nice, looks good and is light on your head. I did need to use some sizing tape to get an exact fit. Only negative – I bought this as a clearance item so you get what you get no returns, some of the straw material has damage and the band had come detached in a spot along the crown.

If you are considering it and it is on clearance at 50% off buy it.

My friend had this same style hat for years and she wore it everyday so I decided to get one for myself and another one for her to replace the old one she had. While it’s a good hat, nice and light, the brim is a little bit bigger than the older one.

It does make a difference in the way the hat looks and how the brim falls. The new version isn’t as floppy and carefree looking. It’s more cowboy style with the sides turned up. I’m hoping from wear and tear, it’ll settle into a more floppy boho look instead of city cowgirl look.

But it’s still a good everyday hat for a good price!.

This hat is somewhere between a fair hat and a boater hat. Perfect sized brim to shade your face but lightweight and so stinkin cute.

Not Mustard: Peachy Orange, very disappointed. If the color had been closer to photos, I could have overlooked all else. Too big but adjustable band ok, should have bought smaller size: I was in between Could not exchange hat.

Instead of wasting $80, I dyed and shrunk it. Not perfect but not a complete waste. Quality was acceptable but not impressive. The brim should have an edge facing: the brim will sag and buckle through time without it.

Will require constant reshaping.

I love love LOVE this hat. It is hands-down, the best hat I own. Not only is it sturdy, but also high-quality, and goes with almost everything in my closet. I have taken it on a number of vacations and it is still in fantastic shape.

But the best part? Every single time I wear it I get all kinds of compliments. A real confidence boost!.

This hat is exactly what I was looking for! Why I love it: 1. It’s UPF50 to protect my face 2. The brim is big but not too big and not big enough to be floppy 3. The brim is not too floppy and not too stiff and stays up 4.

The material has some flex and is comfortable 5. The pinched top has a bit of a cowboy hat vibe, which I like, but with more coverage and less stiffness than a cowboy hat. I debated between this and the El Campo and am really glad I chose this because the El Campo may have been too floppy for me.

6. I have a big head and the Large feels nice and roomy to me 7. Last, it looks great on and would look good on hikes, at the beach, on safari or while gardening. It has everything I was looking for! Thank you!.

I love this hat. It’s kinda stylish looking with the leather wrap, super functional with its wide brim and chin strap, plus a great color (coffee). I’ve been wearing it for everything – dog waking, lunch with the girls, and cragging at the beach.

In high winds I hold the brim down and it stays in place (unlock super floppy hats). My one concern is longevity since it is made out of straw and I’m exposing it to wind. Time will tell. I do wish there was a way to fold to pack it a bit better though.

I am very impressed with the quality of this hat as it is very sturdy (not necessarily stiff) and looks as if it will hold up for a long time. My head size is right at 57. 5cm so I ordered the medium and it fits perfectly with room to have my hair up or down.

The elastic band on the inside is super helpful for keeping it on my head and making the fit more snug. Looking forward to wearing it out on my farm or going hiking! I was thinking that this hat had an adjustable strap on the inside, but it does not.

So I’m not sure what the “adjustable” means on the description.

I have been searching for the perfect summer straw fedora, and was drawn to this one due to the packable feature, which is so helpful for travel. I often find women’s hats too small on my head, so I ordered the S and the M/L.

The M/L was very large, even for me. The S fit well, but the brim was floppier than expected. The color of this hat is darker than in the photo online–it’s closer to the color of coffee with a splash of milk, not the lighter color of a natural straw fedora.

One of the reviewers showed the hat in a photo, and I thought she must have been describing a different hat given how her photo compared to the product photo, but she was showing what this hat actually looks like).

It has nice features but will be going back (as I am looking for a more traditional fedora that holds it’s shape). Great that it’s foldable.

I’m personally not a hat person but this hat has me thinking otherwise! I ran to the Madewell store a couple of hours before leaving on a vacation for Hawaii and I fell in love with this hat. The beach hat was a bit too large and wide for my face and body type so I thought this one was a great substitute! I especially loved that while wearing it, it didn’t look like a hard fedora– the straw and packable features gave it the perfect laid back look for the beach.

It doesn’t fold exactly like the instructions attached with the hat but it’s still relatively easy to fold and you can fix it’s shape once it’s opened.

NOT PACKABLE!!! I like this hat so much, and the sale price makes it worth the purchase, but I had to buy this second hat because I made the mistake of “packing” my first one. According to the diagram, one takes the band from around the hat and rolls it so it forms a triangle, then one puts the band around the hat to keep it from unrolling.

Don’t fall for this! My first hat ended up creased and mishapen, and looks terrible. I will pack this new hat the way I would pack a more expensive less packable hat.

I couldn’t decide if I wanted ivory or pink but decided on ivory after buying a pink beret and pink straw fedora on sale. Didn’t want to overdo it! I saved enough money from the sale that I could buy all three.

Love this fedora. I have been looking everywhere for the perfect fedora. This fit the bill! It’s nice and soft and looks luxurious. Its also the perfect size. Other fedoras I found had ridiculously large brims and almost looked costumey.

I cannot wait to wear this with the perfect outfit. I ordered both the black and the ivory. I kept the black, the ivory is very light almost white and was too light for me I had to send it back.

The outer part is too wide for my liking and flowy. Not really suitable for winter as you face is totally hidden. This size /width/cut is suitable for summer hat. Differt color and material with thus cut would be a nice summer hat.

I like the detailed belt and logo. Pity the design/outer cut isn’t smaller and more hard.

This hat is a bargain for the price. It feels and looks like a quality woollen one. It’s nice and wide brimmed. The depth of the hat is good. It’s one size, so I bought hat size reducing tape to make it fit more snuggly.

It looks cool, and cost pennies!.

Love these but they run on the small side. Unfortunately it’s too uncomfortable to wear so have to return. If you have a smaller head then go go it.

They quite don’t look like the display ones here, notice some flappiness. one was sorta down on one side than the other. I should of paid attention to the UNIVERSAL (which means one size fits all, but not in this case) under discription.

If you don’t have a lot of thick hair your head will swim inside this HaT! Nice, but too big and loose on me, Also notice if you use them straight across the back sticks out so long on the back, it look like I had a witches hat on me! I think that with Long thick curly hair it will look Great and fit better.

Are they people in the reviews joking??? This hat is HUGE. Like scary movie 3 when the cops hat keeps getting bigger. Does not fit on the head comfortably feels like it’s gonna just fall off. Returning this ASAP.

They was delivered the hats was bent I had to push them out. Why do you send hats in a plastic bag and not in a hat box or box that was my biggest problem.

I saw one of your hats at a music festival in Colorado this summer and I just had to have one. I absolutely loved my Judith when I received it. Since there are no stores near me and having other hats in a size Medium, that is what I ordered.

It was a little tight so I have returned my Medium Judith. Today, I tried to order Judith in a Large size, unfortunately, there were no Large Judiths in stock, Please tell me that will be rectified and I will be able to get a Large Judith soon.

If not, is it possible to get my Medium Judith back? There are lots of festivals in South Louisiana coming up in the fall and I was so looking forward to showing off my favorite new hat in Lafayette, Louisiana.

I love the look of this hat! It was exactly what I was looking for and the construction and quality is amazing! I was hoping this would be my one and done summer hat. I ordered the normal size and unfortunately it is slightly large as it blows off in the wind.

It also feels like the hat doesn’t sit perfectly on the head. The crown height feels an inch too short. I have worn it once so far and had a bird **** on it. I tried cleaning it up using the instructions provided but it didn’t clean up completely.

I got a quote for professional cleaning and was told it could cost over $100 and they are not sure it will clean up. I’m really sad as I spent a lot of money to buy this hat which is basically not usable now.

I followed the sizing instructions to a tea, measuring in exactly at 55cm and ordered a Small. Upon receiving and trying on, the hat seemed a little snug. But again, I trusted the website as it states the hat would stretch a bit.

12 weeks after light wear the hat has a sweat stain all along the front of the hat. It looks 3 years old, not 3 months old. If I had to do it over again, I would’ve ordered the medium. I do not think I would of had the staining issues.

The sizing should be revised on their website.

I have adored this hat (in all colours) for some time, looks amazing on the models and in pics. When I received mine, I was very disappointed in the quality of this hat. The stitching around the brim was terrible, the fabric was all cut uneven, the top of the hat was crunched.

not sure if this was just bad luck but I had to return. I realize it is a fashion hat but still the quality could be much improved. If I lived in the US I would definitely try to re-order and give it another chance but being from Canada, returns, shipping and duties are all a pain and do not make it worth my while to be disappointed again.

I was really excited to get this hat as it looked super nice in the picture, but once it came it felt SUPER cheap. Second, it took well over a month to get here, and the package showed up looking wrecked.

It looked like someone had opened it, repackaged it, and threw it around. For what I paid for, it is absolute trash. I will be contacting Pink Lily. I’m never one to write reviewed like this, but I found this pretty ridiculous.

Good quality hat, but the coloring a slightly different. It’s a little darker in person. In addition, the brim of my hat is a little wonky. I think it was misshapen in transit and can be fixed! Overall, cute hat!.

I was really excited to get this hat, only to find out that the hat was completely destroyed. They sent it in a bag and it came the hat was bent. Been trying all sorts of ways to straighten it, but it continues to bend.

It also was a lot bigger than what I was expecting.

So disappointed because they shipped my fedora hat in a bag instead of a hat box it was smashed so bad i can’t wear it. Soooo disappointed. Please ship hats in a box.
