20 Best Women’S Golf Putters (2022 Updated)

Just purchased this putter changing from an Evnroll ER2CS. It was the last putter I picked up at the store after testing several. I was amazed at the feel off the face and how true it rolled. The weighting is very even and I had no problem performing a repeatable stroke.

A lot of people say you don’t have to get the stroke lab shaft but after trying the regular steel, I felt more comfortable with the stroke lab shaft on shorter putts. Either way, both great products.

If you like a very firm face, this may not be the putter for you but I loved the feel and sound of the insert. Definitely give this putter a roll if you’re looking for something new.

I’ve always been comfortable with a blade putter, and have been using an Odyssey White Hot #1 for 20 years. For some reason mallets were just not my thing. But I recently decided to try out the OG #7 and couldn’t believe the difference.

It looks great behind the ball and makes it easy to line up the putt. The face balance is remarkable, producing a very even stroke. Confidence is everything on the green and the #7 really delivers. From short putts to long putts, my stroke is consistent and I’m draining putts of 5 feet, 10 feet, even 20 feet with regularity.

It’s the most important club in my bag.

Was looking for a new putter not too long ago. I spent three hours in the store playing around with different putters but this one stood out to me the most. Balance is great, the face is soft, the new milling looks sleek, and this thing feels like the original.

Dont get me wrong, the original whitehot 2 ball that you can find second hand are still great but only if you can find one in good condition. Typically I see them with the balls cracked or the face yellowed a bit so I decided to spend the extra money on the entirely new one.

These new grips that come on these are thinner but they feel good in hand and the shaft is well balanced. The headcover is an old-school style that feels like an improved strokelab cover. First putt in the store, drained from about 20 feet out, followed up with some drills, long putts, and short putts, this thing makes it easy.

Distance control through feel is this putters specialty.

Great looking and balanced putter! Insert on face is soft yet hard enough for exceptional feel and control at strike. I mean it, this club has turned my green game totally around. I have read other reviews that the white paint can chip rather easily so I am careful when carrying 2 or 3 clubs to the green.

I extend the head of the club at least 6″ beyond the my other clubs when bundled together and carrying in one hand. That way the putter doesn’t bang against the other clubs and ‘ding’ it. Highly recommend you get one of these.

Excellent putter for the price. However, didn’t work for me. Simply can’t see the line with it. Sister in law tried it and loved it, though. She makes all kinds of puts with it. I went back to a blade and am putting well with that.

All an individual thing, though. Nothing wrong with the putter.

This putter is great, at least the replacement I purchased was when I realized I’d accidentally ordered a left-handed club! Granted, it was right there in the title but why read the title when the picture speaks a thousand words? And the picture shows a right-handed club! Still, this shouldn’t detract from what has turned out to be a game improver for me.

This club has a very good feel and weighting that suited me great. For the price, you can’t go wrong!.

I actually was able to golf with the putter is December in Iowa, doesn’t happen very often. Really liked the feel and weight of this putter. Like this putter better than my other putter’s that I have tried/used.

Gave this putter as a gift to my girlfriend and she liked it right away. She said that putts are easier to line up and the balance and weighting make it easier to hit the ball straight.

I bought as a gift for a friend; she is new to golf. She likes the weight and feel. All in all very solid putter.

Three positives came out of this fitting and purchase I thought my swing was reasonably straight but I knew I had a lot of play in my wrists and I wasn’t terribly diligent at lining the ball up i. e.

that marker line on the ball with where I was going. The fitting brought that home to me because the computer showed that after my ball strike I started moving the club to the left about an inch or so every time.

Lining it up with the whole helped but The fitting was also a lesson and has made me think more about creating that pendulum swing. I love the midsize thicker grip I really believe it’s taken a lot of the playout of my wrists it’s quiet them down.

I also prefer this new putter for the optical of the white balls or white circles and the line driven down the middle of it as well it really helps me lineup my club face and that line with the direction that I’m going in the line on the golf ball.

The weather‘s not great I’ve only played twice since but I’m getting more near Mrs. and I’ve sunk a couple of extra putts each round that I Know I would not have before my purchase. As I have been warned the face on this club requires maybe five or 10% hardest strike to go to the same distance but after practicing with it a couple times and then playing that first round you pick it up pretty quickly.

And oddly enough I think the additional speed in my swing is keeping my pendulum or alignment straighter. Two Big thumbs up.

Recently picked up the Triple Track Double Wide. Really happy with it. A few things to highlight: – Love the tech. I personally love the feel and performance of the White Hot microhinge face insert. Love how it rolls off the face and the feel is great.

This is the 2nd Stroke Lab putter I’ve owned and without a doubt, I think the Stroke Lab shaft is more forgiving and allows for a more consistent stroke. – Mallet performance in a blade package- While not quite as elegant as a classic blade, if you’re someone that prefers a more minimalist look at address and not into the spaceship like designs on some mallets, but wants the forgiveness/ higher MOI of a mallet, this putter is a great hybrid of look and performance.

– Face balanced vs Toe Hang- I’ve been committed to face balanced putters for the last 12-15 years. Have played mallet and blade designs. Thought this putter was pure face balanced but i noticed its got a very little bit of toe hang.

I’ve been struggling a little bit with accidentally rotating the face lately ending up in pushed and pulled putts and I think the slight bit of additional weight in the toe of this putter has helped my feel for the face in the stroke.

Really liking it. – Look/ style- The one concern I had with this putter was whether I’d like the Triple Track. I don’t play the Chrome Soft ball so I don’ have the matching Triple Track lines on my ball.

And I was afraid that the look might look outdated if Callaway switched away from the Triple Track. While that could happen, in person, the Triple Track looks a little less prominent than it does in the photos and I’m pretty sure that I’ll still be using this putter long after Callaway changes the Chrome Soft design.

Overall, high marks for this putter and would strongly recommend!.

Was always intrigued with the Odyssey 2-ball and finally pulled the trigger on getting one. Read some good reviews on it elsewhere and it was on sale. It’s a little heavier than I normally play but that’s OK for early spring when the greens are rough.

Played one round with it and started off poorly. However, I started to get a feel for the club and began to make decent putts with. I’m used to a Spyder and almost got a new one of those instead, but I stuck with the 2-Ball.

I like the Triple Track and would like to think that it’s helping me improve my generally average putting game. I’m hoping it’ll help me when the greens are smooth and fast again. For the short time that I have had this club I am going to give it 5-stars.

I have used a blade exclusively for almost 30 years. This replaced an SC Newport that I’ve used since ’04. I decided to try this mallet exclusively after seeing a review from TXG on the new Cobra line with a sik face.

I just didn’t feel stable behind my blade and honestly I’ve just never had a great relationship with it. I have quite a few hours now on the practice greens and about 5 rounds into it. From 3-6 feet I feel incredibly stable and I still can’t believe just how consistent the ball comes off the face.

The biggest area where I notice the most change is in long range putts (20 feet plus). The ball rolls so well and true after making a strike when compared to my previous blade and I notice so little hopping of the ball on the way to the hole.

I understand that some greens bounce more than others, but I do notice a huge difference in the first 5 feet or so of the roll where the ball just rolls so true with no hop being induced by me or the putter.

I’m still learning the speed of using a mallet so I can’t speak about it when compared to other putters. For me I feel like I have a ton of confidence in this putter and that it will roll incredibly true when I strike it.

So far so good and I’d recommend this style of putter to anybody that is thinking about giving it a try. I have no regrets in making the jump over to a mallet and so far this one has made me feel like it was the right decision.

Quick Review Highlights- Great for forgiveness, played 25+ rounds with no paint chipping, looks great. In Depth on these points- I have used a couple different types of putters, and find that the mallet was best style that fit me.

Now after testing many Mallet type putters I found that the Taylormade Spider gave me the best feel from the grip to weight balance on my follow through. The one thing I will say is that it is very easy to hit hard because of the weight.

So if you swing to hard on a long putt it will send you to the moon. Paint Issue- I have read from so many people that they played only a couple round and had paint chip. I will say as someone that has played 20 + rounds this season I have gotten no paint chip and I played in rain and mud and still nothing.

The putter still looks brand new. Looks- This is more my own opinion but I truly feel this putter looks great and I always get compliments when I play.

I purchased this putter from my local PGA Superstore earlier this year. Love the look and feel, it really inspires confidence on the green. especially when I’m staring down my crew for a gimme. They just see me holding this beauty of putter and give me the put.

I went from 3-putting constantly, to barely even having to put now. However, the big downfall is that next year, I’ll likely have to spend another $300ish on a new putter. The wear and tear on this sexy navy putter is next level.

I’ve had this putter for less than a year. and it looks like I’ve been letting a toddler hit rocks with it in the parking lot. Just for the record. I’m adamant about always using my head cover as well.

Bottom line, great putter and saw immediate improvements on the green. That’s what you want. However, the paint chips off way too easily and don’t expect this putter to last very long.

I’ve been a fan of TM’s Spider line of putters since leaving Scotty’s Newport blade putter for the Spider Tour Black mallet putter. I’ve since owned Spider X putters with slant necks and True Path Alignments.

Two reasons motivated me to upgrade to the Spider X Hydro Blast Flow Neck putter. First, the new ‘Hydro Blast’ finish. Care of Spider X putters is required to prevent paint chipping of the putters. Second, the new ‘Flow Neck’ hosel that provides less toe hang.

After using the new putter for the last month, I love the new finish. Looks great! As for the new ‘Flow Neck’ hosel, I’m a fan of that too. I’m using more of a straight-back, straight through stroke with the putter and I’m seeing more success with putts from 5 to 10 feet.

Well done TaylorMade! I continue to be a fan of the Spider X line of putters.

Recently went to get a fitted for a putter bc I wasn’t happy with my putting. I was thinking maybe my putter needed an adjustment with lie or maybe the shaft length was too long or short, I had my eye on the Scotty’s bc of their notoriety and exclusivity and wanted to be one of the select few who owed one.

my fitter had me try them out but found myself pulling my putts, he then proceeded to hand me the White Hot OG #1WS putter and Boy let me tell you it was instant magic, I couldn’t stop sinking my putts.

He explained to me I needed more toe hang since my putting stroke was slow and deliberate, he also informed me that center balance putters were not for everybody bc everyone has different tempo and stroke.

I am convinced that the so called Scotty “tour prototypes” are NOT the same they sell on retail. I believe they customize it to the tour players preference & add more toe hang. I’m happy I went for the fitting bc it really made a world of a difference and the White Hot OG #1W was the putter I needed.

I encourage everyone to go for a putter fitting, trust me it may not be a lesson you need but just a slight mechanical change.

When i first started golf i bought one of these. It was cheap and looked cool so i thought why not. 3 years latter, and after 5 different and more expensive putters, I’m back to where i started. This putter just works.

Not my favorite looking, or sounding, or whatever, but it just works. Try it out. It’s been surprising me for all this time.

I’ve purchased two of these putters. One for me, and the other for my girlfriend. Both putters lasted less than a year (my girlfriend’s only a month!) before breaking. After some recent warm weather (we live in Canada, however), my girlfriend and I went to go play, only to realize early into the round that the red pad that hits the ball (the red part in the picture) falls off! Clearly the glue behind it isn’t very good.

It couldn’t even tolerate Canadian summer weather? And both putters broke like this! On the same day! Now it’s mid-season and we’re both looking for new putters. These are brutal quality. Look elsewhere for your putter.

I was given this putter as a work anniversary gift from my company along with two wedges. I’ve been playing a Seemore FGP blade putter with a Superstroke grip for several years. I took this putter to the local range to try it out and really liked it.

I wrangled over whether I would bump my Seemore for my next round. Well I did and was surprised how well it did. I really like the look from above and find it very easy to line up and get back squarely to the ball.

I play a soft ball and the feel off the face is very good with this putter. I had good directional and distance control. The only thing I do not like is the lack of a headcover. For now it is wearing my Seemore headcover.

I’ve used this putter twice and I putt better with this than my new Taylor Made 3000. 00 Spider X. Just kept missing 5ft. Putts, good with long putts too. Just wished bought this prior to the Taylor Made.

It’s also pretty to look at.

This putter has great balance, feels good and is easy to grip. The markings on the club head make alignment easy, even for beginning golfers. Excellent product and a great price.

After trying dozens of different putters over the past many months, this one stood out for me on various fronts. I bought the apps style as it seemed easier to pull back in a straighter, more controlled move.

It also has a nice, solid feel at ball contact. Well balanced in all respects. These new Tour Edge putters are as good or better than the more famous and popular lines the cost 3x plus more.

I’ve had this for a few weeks. When it came in, I immediately took it for a grip change. I use a large WINN grip, and the standard pistol grip was not comfortable. I have been using a heavier putter, so this was feeling a little light to me.

Ended up adding some lead tape, and it’s helped quite a bit. The condition was excellent, and with the tweaks it feels very good. I still own one of the original Odyssey 7, and this is definitely the evolution of a fine putter.

I have always had Odyssey putters since 2006 with my last putter prior to this one a Havoc. This putter is a game changer and is helping me shave a few strokes per game thus far. Long putts do require a little more focus and short putts are becoming more consistent.

I changed the grip to an Odyssey/Winn jumbo grip and use a 33 inch length with the counter weight reinstalled. The crisp sound from my previous pro face is not present in this stick but the roll is better off the face.

You will definitely feel the weight differences and how they distributed them in this putter especially with the 2 part shaft. I would definitely recommend this putter to anyone wanting improve their game.

I’ve long been a fan of Cleveland putters, which in my experience offer the best value in golf (I gamed a $99 Cleveland center-shafted throughout my entire college career). This putter is easy to align and feels great off the face.

Personally, I don’t like the SOFT acronym that Cleveland employs, which makes it seem like the putter is branded to *feel soft* off of the face. That could be misleading. This putter does feel butter smooth off the face, but I wouldn’t say soft, like some putters I’ve used that have inserts.

The Lampkin grip feels great to me (firm for feedback) and I like the dark color of the putter and shaft. If you’re looking for a milled putter that swings easy and feels nice, don’t discount this putter.

I have played for 30 years and had two other putters, an Anser 2 and an Odyssey 2 ball putter. This combines the best features of both. The Anser 2 has the set up and fell that I love but it is too light and the feel on the face is clinky.

The soft feel and additional weight of the Odyssey are captured in this putter while keeping the swing feel and set up of the Anser. The milling of the face provides a great feel for well hit putts and feedback for mishits.

Mishits still traveled the desired distance. This putter also performed well from the fringe and just off the green.

I have gamed many putters over the years however this one could possibly be the motherload! I’m 70 years old and have been a decent player however putting has always been my downfall. This center shafted putter is by far the most consistent putter I’ve put my hands on.

The ball rolls off exceptionally smooth with great feel. Distance control is awesome and the oversized grip fits snug in the hands. Balance is superb and although I’ve only had it a month, I look forward to many years of enjoyment.

If you’re looking for a forgiving putter with a face that makes the entire stroke feel buttery soft, you need to look no further. I love mine and highly recommend this putter. I’ve never given thought of buying a backup putter of the same model/brand however it now has crossed my mind.

I would hate to lose this one and not be able to find another. It’s that good!.

Balance meets precision. This is my first TP series putter that I have purchased from TaylorMade and I was not let down. I was bagging a SpiderX putter and loved the PureRoll insert. This series has it too! It feels like butter.

More importantly, the balance of the putter is flawless. With the slant neck design, nothing can go wrong. Every putt is starting on its line. This is a ball-striker’s putter. If you struggle with consistency on the face, look into a Spider putter.

If you are looking for precision tight groupings in or around the hole, this is your guy. If you play on Fast greens, this putter feels appropriate in regards to how much force is needed to get a putt to the hole.

If you play of slower or normal greens, check out my review on the Spider X putter. It may be a better fit for you.

I bought this putter a few weeks back and I’m so glad I did. For the longest time I was using a blade-style putter along with a mallet in tandem with each other. I was struggling to hole putts with both for the longest time.

the bladed style suited my eye but the mallet was performing better at the time. I desperately needed a new putter so I saw this and got it on a whim. I am so glad I did make this purchase. This putter feels looks and gives me confidence standing over any putt.

Before I got this I was consistently shooting 87 on 18 but, now with my newfound confidence and consistently in roll, I am now scoring 82 on 18. I would highly recommend this putter to anyone who was like me, is struggling to find the right style and needs a more consistent roll on the green.

I absolutely love this putter, I’ve been debating for about a month now what I was going to end up with. Trust me, I tried all the other big competitors and I honestly never even thought to pick up a TaylorMade putter specifically because of the insert.

I was completely against getting a putter with an insert because my previous putter had one that I hated and I thought to get the feel I wanted I needed a fully milled face putter. Well boy was I wrong! Pros: -The feel off the face is amazing and I’d put it up there with any machined or milled face putter.

-I’m a lover of a heavy putter and this one fits the bill pretty well. -It looks incredible, especially down at address. Super sunny day? No worries, the satin finish on this is GORGEOUS. -Classic putter shape with beautiful lines.

Cons: (and surprisingly these aren’t even cons of the putter) -Doesn’t come with a set of weights and there are none currently available that match the colorway of the putter. -Current weights that fit the putter through TaylorMade only go up to 7.

5g that I’ve seen and I’m someone who would through 25g weights in if I had them. -Headcover closes through hook and loop (Velcro) and I’ve never had good experiences with this. They always get dirty and don’t hold up well over time.

For everything about this putter package feeling so premium I’m surprised that TaylorMade couldn’t up their game a tiny bit and put some magnets in the headcover.

I was extremely excited in ordering my new custom MySpider GT putter until I received it. The biggest disappointment I had is the Wing Color (silver looks more like charcoal/black!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). I ordered the Silver color for the Wings but it is NO way near silver since it looks more like black.

My sales person (Golfio Superstore) said the color did not look right and contacted his TaylorMade rep and several people at TaylorMade and confirmed that the color received is silver and that the TaylorMade website may not portray the exact color (some variance due to screen color portrayal) but assured me that the color received is definitely silver.

I compared my custom Spider putter with another Spider putter at the store and the wing color both look black and almost identical. I wanted all the putter components to be silver so they would match.

In person, you can clearly see the Sight Line I chose is silver and no way does it match to the Wings. Since the Sight Line on the TaylorMade website AND in person shows as SILVER, my screen does show the correct color correction which means the Wings are NOT a silver color but actually charcoal/black.

The sales person at Golfio said that they would refund me back fully and call it a lost or exchange for a new different putter. I explained to him that it wasn’t his fault and TaylorMade should have suggested a solution since I bought a full set of custom Stealth clubs (irons, hybrids, woods, and Plus driver).

I think this was a poor judgement on TaylorMade and should have researched this problem or at least resolved my issue.

Wasn’t looking for a new putter. Took a few looks at the New Spider GT Red/Black. Putted with it at Golf Galaxy a few times. Decided to order a custom at 33 inch short slant (toe hung) 1 degree flat like my Scotty Square Back 2.

0. Rolls just as nice as my Scotty but with a little more forgiveness. Very true lines also consistant feel and distances. Now I have 2 great putters. The only problem I encountered was the grip. I paid for the grip upgrade and it wasn’t a 2.

0 size. Was not installed straight. Had to spend another $30 to replace the grip for correct size and installed straight. Other than that putter is great.

I buy one to two putters a year almost every year and I have probably 30 putters in my house. I liked the look at this and I bought this at a PGA tour superstore about three months ago. I have putted it so well that it’s almost blasphemous for me to consider using are getting a different putter.

A friend of mine who knows how often I change putters during the year it might’ve been once a week I brought out a different putter, Said he would punch me in the face if I ever used a different putter.

He was joking he wouldn’t do that but that’s the point of the story it’s an amazing putter I want to huge tournaments at the end of the year based on putting. I don’t normally do reviews but from a guy that’s had 30 putters in the last 20 years this is a keeper.

I tried a friends on a putting green and from the moment I looked down at it I knew this one was going to be pure. The putters sets up behind the ball better then anything I’ve seen. I have a lot of putters as well and I really like the way the alignment rolls right to the edge.

The face has a premium feel that creates pure roll on the ball. Put it in the bag and won my first match play event! I truly think it was this putter that won me the match! Get one before they stop making it.

Got mine in a 35” and I usually play a 34”. It’s lighter then others so the length helps.

The Spider GT is really balanced and predictable. But what impressed me the most is the improvement in speed control. The Spider GT is easy to look at and sits nicely at address. (Smaller foot print than expected when you actually try one out) I was happy with my old putter with an excellent feeling Winn 15″ grip that is very comfortable.

The Spider stock grip is ok and I’m getting adjusted to it. Overall the Spider GT is much better than the Heavy putter I was using even while I’m adjusting to the new grip. So I expect my performance to improve even further.

Bottom line: Bye Bye 3 putts, and 2 putts are on notice.

Pros: I recently purchased the lakeshore putter. The overall head shape is great. Similar to other putters I’ve used like the SC Laguna, the Lakeshore head shape looks great when addressing the ball.

The additional sight lines help keep square and lined up. The face milling creates a great feel/sound upon impact. Cons: Not a fan of the grip. For me, I am a player of feel. So I immediately had to change to drip to a smaller standard size grip.

I would also like to see this in a flow neck instead of the plumbers neck it comes in. My overall experience with this putter is fantastic and would totally recommend it. In my opinion it is easily as good as the larger more expensive brands and costs 1/3 of the price.

As a single digit handicap, I would choose this putter over a Cameron or Bettinardi and definitely over a face insert putter like Odyssey.

Bought this putter after seeing in had the best value pick from My Golf Spy. Needed to replace my Tommy Armour mallet that got bent. Took a gamble on this putter from the reviews and the fact that I had a sweet Wilson tour bag (all red which is my favorite color).

Not a Wilson guy so this review is legit. Putter is heavy, which I really wanted coming from the light Tommy Armour. Had the Spider knock off design that is a proven winner from DJ. Great thick grip.

Able to scoop the ball off the ground. Good shaft. Amazing quality head cover that matches my bag well. It literally hit everything that I could ask of it. Played 9 on a new course with it (without warming up and never putting on anything than carpet).

I did not three putt even with fast greens. Honestly this should be $200 plus. For $100, it’s worth trying. I’m thinking of buying the blade version to replace my Dad’s Odyssey. I don’t do reviews, but this needed one.

Being left handed it’s almost impossible to pre demo any clubs let alone a putter. So I went on line and read as many reviews as I could before I made this purchase. The final review that convinced me was at My Golf Spy.

It was listed as the most accurate mallet putter at 5 feet and in. This putter at only $120. 00 was out performing 20 other like putters in the $300. 00 to $500. 00 dollar range. I figured at that price and after spending thousands on putters that had failed me what could I lose so I made the plunge!!!! After receipt all I can say is WOW! I have never in my 30 years of golf been so impressed with the value this putter offers.

And oh by the way I have never putted as well! I have played all the major brands Odyssey, Ping, Cameron and on and on and this birdie maker is the best I have ever owned Don’ t let the price or the name fool you.

Wilson has a real winner here.

I am 6’3” tall and wanted to try going to an entirely new style/technique requiring going with a shaft length of between 29” to 31”. Nothing available in my local golf super store at all in that length, except a women’s G Le2.

I gave it a try. The hot purple finish is unusual, but the wide mallet has a singe bold white line to align your putt. I prefer the feel of a milled metal face to a club. The G Le2 has soft insert so the feel off the face is dampened.

But I was impressed how well and true the ball rolls to the hole. The adjustable grip is OK, but I might eventually find something else more to my liking. I don’t care if it is marketed as a women’s putter.

It is working for me. If I start sinking birdie putts, the flashy color will add a certain flair to my game.

Birthday gift for my wife. She’s a 24 HCP and was using a putter 10 years old. Did some research and saw many good reviews and recommendations. She’s played 10 rounds with it and now 4-5 putts per round cut from her game.

Using the right club for your game, body, swing, etc. really makes a difference.

This putter feels good in the hands. The weighting and balance are perfect. I feel like it’s design and structure make my putting better. Love this thing!

This review is for the new 2022 Phantom X 5. Let me start with the good! The Putter has an extremely high level of build quality, which is to be expected at this price point, but it is nice to see the precise lines and milling.

Sound and feel off the face is as good as any putter, even against those that use inserts and it’s balance is exceptional. Now on to the not so good. I ordered this putter with some custom adjustments (length, lie) from 2ndSwing so because of the custom order this putter came direct from Titleist.

Honestly this putter was not packed very well at all. It was in a sealed plastic bag along with only a wad of paper at one end. Thankfully it arrived in good condition but at this price I expected a little more care in the packaging.

Next, after I ordered the putter I got some heavier custom sole weights for the club so I can fine tune the feel if needed. The stock weights are 20 grams and if you want to remove them you should take them to a golf shop because Scotty glues those things in there and you don’t want to damage the putter.

I just use PB Blaster spray and after a few treatments it breaks up the glue and they are relatively easy to remove after that. I was disappointed to see that the stock 20 gram weights were actually 18.

45 and 18. 43 grams each. Not a big deal but still, at this price point I expect better. The aftermarket 30 gram weights I got from Amazon were 30. 44 and 30. 46 grams each. So you’re telling me some random company has tighter tolerances than Scotty Cameron…😬.

Lastly, the Headcover is a bit disappointing. First off it’s too big. Maybe it’s because they made one size to fit all the head shapes in this line and the 5 is the smallest of them all? Ok, fine, but it also uses a Velcro closure and it’s been my experience that putting that kind of Headcover on and off multiple times will eventually tear ☹️.

Again, at this price point I expect more like a magnetic system. I know these are all little things and they don’t affect the performance of the club but I just hate to see a brand like this start to fall off little by little here and there because it can start to creep into other areas.

For me this is what separates a 4 star review from a 5 star review….

This review is for the new 2022 Phantom X 5. Let me start with the good! The Putter has an extremely high level of build quality, which is to be expected at this price point, but it is nice to see the precise lines and milling.

Sound and feel off the face is as good as any putter, even against those that use inserts and it’s balance is exceptional. Now on to the not so good. I ordered this putter with some custom adjustments (length, lie) from 2ndSwing so because of the custom order this putter came direct from Titleist.

Honestly this putter was not packed very well at all. It was in a sealed plastic bag along with only a wad of paper at one end. Thankfully it arrived in good condition but at this price I expected a little more care in the packaging.

Next, after I ordered the putter I got some heavier custom sole weights for the club so I can fine tune the feel if needed. The stock weights are 20 grams and if you want to remove them you should take them to a golf shop because Scotty glues those things in there and you don’t want to damage the putter.

I will review the Phantom X7 as I returned the 7. 5 because of the stance it required. I like a stance over the top of the ball and the 7. 5 demanded a stance farther from the ball than I was comfortable with.

First off, the grip. From what I gather and observe, more and more pros are opting to go with the oversized putter grips because of the advantages gained. At the price point of this putter I assume it is targeting low handicappers, pros, and people who want pro gear.

I would like to have seen a large, oversized grip for this putter. The pistolero grip, from what Scotty Cameron himself has said, was more of an aesthetic decision versus a more functional oversized grip.

Also, at this price point, I would expect to receive a few options of sole weights to come along with it to give customers more customization options out of the box. The ball reaction is nice off of the face.

Doesn’t jump off the face like my previous White Hot Sabertooth, which I think reduces skip and makes puts slightly more accurate. That being said, the alignment lines on the back of the mallet could have been made a more contrasting color to help visually.

The white on silver is tough to track peripherally during the back swing. All-in-all it’s a good putter, but I wouldn’t call it amazing. It’s not quite what I expected for spending 400+ dollars on a Scotty Cameron.

Putting is the most inconsistent part of my game, so I wanted to try an Arm Lock putter to see if it could help. The putter itself is fantastic, and it has a great feel like Odyssey is known for. The grip was a little too thin for my liking, so I put a JumboMax JMX Jumboflat grip on it which made it fit against my forearm easier.

However, after a few trips to the practice green, and playing a few rounds, I realized the putter wasn’t for me. I had issues lining up putts with this particular putter, but that was at the fault of the user and not the club itself.

I’m sure if I practiced more with it, it might become second nature, but I prefer a putter that has more feel and flow to it. If you’re a golfer who can’t quiet their wrists with putts, I’d recommend giving this Odyssey a try.

I am a roughly 15 handicapper and have always had good aim with putting but always would under hit. Additionally, I felt like my putter would be moving too much in the back swing. I came from a scotty Cameron Newport.

The heavier weight and thicker blade style has given me much more balance and consistancy for distance. It’s also quite the looker!.

What’s not great about it? Maybe the ugliest putter I have ever had! What’s great? Very smooth on impact and follow through! Very well balanced! The balance makes it very easy to keep the club head straight on impact which leads to more accurate putts! I saw an immediate improvement in accuracy!.

Liked the new “RC” Roll Control feature in the new line. This is why I made the purchase. I have used it in two rounds and the “RC” feature is noticeable. I have the Bettinardi Signature Model Nine (+/-6 years) and the feel is a bit softer than the Studio Stock 7 but the roll seems more true at impact and thru the entire putt with the SS7.

Time will tell but with only two rounds in the books I feel the Studio Stock 7 will be in my bag for a long long time. Another great putter from Bettinardi!!!.
