20 Best Women’S Ice Skates (2022 Updated)

I normally wear 7-7. 5, purchased both the 7 and 8s based on older reviews and both were too snug. After scouring the internet and reading loads of reviews, I am thinking the older model of this ran too large so purchasers sized down, and new models run too small.

Be careful when ordering! I have yet to find a size that works because everywhere seems to be sold out :(.

Very nice skates, very nice quality. Skates appear to be made very well and should last for years to come. I have looked at a lot of ice skates, and they are quite pricey, but these were very well priced.

Wonderful once skates. Great quality. I wear 8. 5 shoe and got size 7 skates. The are a bit short but manageable. If there were skates a half a size bigger, I would have chosen them. All and all I am happy with them.

I bought these about a month ago as I’m taking skate classes for adults and was progressing quickly. Was tired of the horrible rental skates I was having to use so bought these. When I got them they looked fantastic, they fit reasonably well and overall I was excited to try them out.

When I got to the class I could barely skate on them. Was feeling like I was going to fall over and couldn’t figure out what was going on. So I went through the entire class and was unable to do anything that I had done the previous week(s) like one skate glides etc.

and I was just baffled and frustrated. When I took the skates off I could see that the left skate blade was leaning in and the back part was leaning out. On the right skate I could take my hand and physically move the blade slightly when wiggling it back and forth.

So basically I was skating on blades that were either not true to vertical or were flexing when skating on them. Went back the next week and used the terrible skate rentals and was able to pass off all of my new techniques.

So some good and bad things about this skate. It does NOT come pre sharpened. When I took them ice skating I had to get the ice rink to sharpen them, and they told me that the blades were completely uneven and needed DIRASTIC help.

However, that’s an issue that can be easily fixed by taking it to a local ice rink. The material around the Ankles however are VERY uncomfortable, it will dig into your ankles and it will hurt. Wearing longer socks is probably best with these skates.

They are very light and not too uncomfortable when skating, which is very nice as a starting out skater. Overall these skates are pretty good for the price. (Also, I normally wear a size 7. 5-8 shoe and I ordered down to a 7 and they fit very well.

I also have pretty wide feet and the shoes themselves aren’t uncomfortable. ).

I bought these so I could go skating on the weekends or after work. The first run out they felt great with some comfy, not too thick socks. I did need to get them sharpened before going on the ice. Great causal skates that didn’t take long to break in.

I bought this last March during one of the covid lockdowns, which meant I couldn’t go into the store to find the right size. The skates were pre-sharpened (which seemed like a nice gesture, until I couldn’t return them).

The skates were a little small but I decided to push through. The first few times skating this these were very uncomfortable (which I expected until I wore them in), but after 10+ times they were just as uncomfortable.

After my first skate this year, I decided I couldn’t take it anymore. I looked up some reviews and realized that I’m in the same boat as many here – I ordered the 200 model and received the 1500 model instead.

As I can’t return the skates at this point, I will be donating them and hopefully someone with the right size feet can enjoy them. Very disappointed all around.

Hi, I was on the reviews and chose another brand for a cheaper price. The reviews had mentioned the size was too big so I followed the reviews and got duped. The pair I ordered was too small. This was my second pair that I ordered.

I was so scared that the sizing would be off. It looked small but THANK GOD it fit perfectly. I LOVE THESE SKATES. I do agree though that the skates you get are not what is advertised in the picture.

The skates do not have any fleece lining. Nonetheless, the skates are great and I have had no issue using them.

I was confused by the size chart and ended up just purchasing my normal shoe size which is a 7. They are snug in fit with normal socks and would feel a bit tight with thick wool socks which I think is ideal.

Long story short: Buy your normal shoe size. PS: They came sharpened and clean – very cute. Some people complained about the stiffness – I found no issue with it and found them quite comfortable and cushioned.

These are an excellent starting skate for beginner skaters. They were recommended by my daughter’s skate teacher and confirmed by the internet. There is a learning curve when breaking them in, as the toepick seems a little lower than the rental skates my daughter used to use.

But once she got past that, she did very well. THE SIZES ARE NOT THE SAME AS STREET SHOES. Be sure to look at the measurements Jackson website and measure the feet- they have instructions. In most cases you will be sizing 1 size down since skates run big.

So if you’re a 9 in street shoes, you will order an 8 in ice skates. Measure to be sure.

Daughter (13 years old) adores these skates – just watching from the sidelines, it was immediately apparent she had more control and more ability to turn, spin, skate backwards, etc. Says they’re extremely comfortable, a perfect fit, and feel very stable / supportive.

They’re beautifully made to last, amazing professional quality for a great price point. Also, our Dick’s order arrived almost 5 days early, just in time for skating.

I bought these skates and immediately returned them. I have owned more than a few pairs of skates of various brands. Everyone I know who skates in Jacksons swears by them, so I thought I would give them a try.

They were so painful and hard when I slid my foot in them, I didn’t even bother to lace them up. I will be buying a new pair of riedells instead.

The skates appear good quality for the price. My only complaint is that there isn’t a size chart. It appears these skates are 1 size smaller than shoe size. The box says: Girls 13K shoe size is a skate size 12.

My daughter’s current shoe size is 12K going into 13K and they fit well. I just wish this information had been provided so I didn’t have to purchase several sizes to find the right fit.

My daughter received these as a gift. After 3 uses the blade broke. I contacted Dicks and they said they could not help me. Replacement blades are over $100. So now I have unusable skates and a very unhappy child.

Sizing on the website matches shoe size. I wear shoe size 10 and that was what I ordered here. They are labeled shoe size 10, skate size 9. Fit was perfect. Sharpen before using. Good ankle support. Perfect for my adult level 1 class.

My daughter loves her skates. They are very nice. However, I paid 7. 95 for skate sharpening and my daughter told me after her first time skating that her skates were very dull and needed to be sharpened.

So I had to have them resharpened. That did not make me very happy. I reached out to the company and they were just worried about proving that they did sharpen them and not that they sharpened them well enough to use.

Skates arrived just as pictured and packaged so well and came so much quicker than they had said! Which was a nice surprise. I’m only a beginner and used them once so far and were sharpened well and seem supportive enough, only thing is they do come up slightly big! I’m typically a 5 to 5.

5 in shoes and trainers, ordered a 5 and they are ever so slightly big! I’d advise going half a size down.

Very comfortable!!! I wear shoe size 39, and bought size 40 (following the Skatepro recommendation). I wish I had bought size 39, because know I have to wear two socks to have a better fit, otherwise, I really recommend this skate.

Arrived just too late to really try out. Unfortunately. But ofcourse I tried them on. Nice wide for my wide feet and high “instep”. Was a bit scared it wouldnt be, but way enough space. Bought 2 sizes up, could have done with 1 size up instead, but they fit, much space for thick socks and they keep my ankles firm in place! Absolutely a fantastic skate and hopefully there will be ice again next winter.

Otherwise to a rink it is, when they open again!.

Good skates. Good quality for good money. Warm. Leg is stable in them. Will Fit better for wide leg. I took 2 mm longer than my leg and they Fit nearly perfekt.

Good leisure skate for wide feet (and high instep). Comfortable thanks to lots of cushioning. The only downside is the lacing which is not that easy to get tight enough because the laces go through fabric loops instead of holes in the boot.

We have an adult and kids size and they are better for adults I think. Definitely good value for money.

This is a comfortable and sturdy pair of skates. It took about 12 hours (12 sessions) to break them in properly (they are a bit sturdy at first). They are great if you are learning to skate, going backwards, practicing 3-foot turns, some basic spinning, and even some basic beginners’s jumps (bunny hops).

Make sure you learn how to lace up online, so the boot fits you well but dont hurt you. I bought a new set of laces from canadian tire, just because the cotton ones that came were not giving me the necessary grip (I have thin feet and need to really tug on the laces).

I also had them sharpened at a professional shop (it is worth the cost, if you need good edges).

I hadn’t skated in 10 years and I decided to buy these skates. They were comfortable. I went skating and broke them in and they are great! I’m very happy with this purchase. I have wide feet so I was worried that figure skates wouldn’t fit and I’d have to buy hockey skates.

Even with a thick pair of socks these skates are comfortable. I love the vintage look as well.

I bought these skates for my daughter who started figure skating lessons about a month prior. I did take them to be sharpened after I received them also requested heat molding to break them in faster.

My daughter loves her skates! She skates very well in them. And Dicks sells them at a great price with coupons! My initial order was too big. I called and Dicks exchanged them easily for me. I ended up getting the same size shoe that my daughter normally wears.

My daughter uses these for a half hour lesson once a week. Absolutely no ankle support. Waste of money. Had to buy better.

As a beginner to ice skating these give really good support, great to learn the basics on. Really comfortable and unlike rentals I’ve had no aches and pains the next day after a few hours on the ice

Very nice pair of skates visually. My wife will let me know how they are when I give them to get for Xmas. Also the added service of skate sharpening is good as it’s not offered by other companies and enables use straight away.

(Wayne’s WIFE) Wish I had these when I was a teen. Had no idea how much of a difference it makes to have support in the ankles of skates. I am 43yrs old and, other than a couple yrs ago where I tried skating in cheap skates for 5 min and cried in pain from my feet hurting, I have not skated for 20 yrs.

Well I put these on a few days ago for a family skate and I skated for over 30 min. Being 287 lbs at 5’7″ this was an amazing accomplishment – and I didn’t fall once. I am hoping this will be a great help in my weight loss journey.

Very sturdily constructed, great ankle support, and the blades are sharp af out of the box. Very happy with my purchase. It even looks better in person than in the photos.

Nice figure skating boots. My daughter is just a beginner so can’t say if it will hold to more advanced use but overall quite happy with it.

Would only recommend for beginner’s level. The ankle is very stiff, not sure that can be broken into. The boot and tongue aren’t padded like other Jakson boot for support (my teen had Artiste and Mystique).

The blade is decent. Fit true to size shoe size 7 skate size in this model 7). If your foot isn’t growing no more, I’d throw another $100 and buy a higher level Jakson.

I bought these and had the chance to wear them on ice. They are very comfortable and supportive around the ankle. I am glad I got these even though they were a bit pricier because my feet don’t hurt! Good quality skates.

The only thing I would say is that the bottom is not brown- they are grey coloured. Weird that the picture is slightly different than the one in store.

A follow up to my previous review – I am thoroughly perplexed by this product listing. The first pair I ordered (size 6) ended up being model CS1500. The second pair (size 7) while the same model as listed, CS200, has a silver/grey sole rather than the brown as pictured and a light grey lining.

It also came with dirty smudges that won’t completely wipe clean. At least it now fits.

Really lovely and comfortable skates! I bought the men’s so they would be wide enough for my feet and they are perfect. The fuzzy lining keeps my toes warm and the colour is just like the picture. the most Canada-proud skates a former figure skater could get for recreational pond skating with my kids.

The balance feels good and they team in Denmark was great when I called for details.

I’m not sure why other buyers said these run a size too large. I took these into account and bought myself online sizes 5, 6, and 7. All 3 sizes hurt my big toe! I had to return them. They look ok and seem ok, but I had to return them 3 times!!! I’m debating if I should buy size 8.

For reference, I’m usually a size 7 in sneakers but a 5. 5 or 6 in heels. I’m also 5’3″ and 114 lbs, petite asian. So I’m so confused about why they run small for me. I bought this brand from the walmart.

com site because they were cheaper and shipping was free. But this brand and other reviewers are confusing the heck out of me.

I wear a shoe size 9 and these skates fit fine in a size 10 while wearing a somewhat thick sock (winter sock that I wear with casual boots). A size 9 might have fit but definitely not a size 8. I like the Velcro strap for pulling extra tight and keeping the long laces tucked out of the way.

They seem like good quality skates – I’m only skating on my backyard rink so they’re not going to get a lot of hard use.

Great boot! though the size chart didn’t exactly, help. I’m size 8 usually, I know my foot measures 273mm so i tried to follow the chart and first got a size 8, that fits but my foot kept sliding, so the second try I got both 7 and 8 and the 7 fits way better! a half size would have been great though.

But the boot itself feels super comfortable! secure sturdiness but soft padding all the way round. Also. the boot is blue. either the colour of the accents have bled onto the white or it’s supposed to be a pale blue, but either way the boot is blue.

and I’ve ordered 3 of them so far. none came white.

These are my kids first skates so we can only compare them to the ones they borrowed from school. The skates seems to be working good for them, no faults whatsoever.

These skates do not have the ankle support needed to skate both effectively or safely.

So happy with these skates!!! I was worried because I don’t think I’ve been on figure skates since like 1999 lol whoa that’s crazy, I was nervous if I was going to toe pick and face plant! BUT THE VERDICT IS IN! They are warm they are cozy they are comfortable and most importantly I did not face plant.

I requested a sharpening because I didn’t want to find a place once they arrive and aside from not having full confidence to spin in circles as I did when I was 13. it was the most wonderful time! Very very happy with my purchase!.

Beautiful skates! I had to search up a size chart to find my size as there was no US Womens’ size on the chart on the website, but once I was able to convert my size, the skates fit absolutely perfect and were true to size.

Absolutely love those skates. They are beautiful and comfortable. For size 37.5 took size US (men) 5 and they fit perfect.

I purchased these skates to go skating occasionally on public indoor and outdoor rinks. They are very light and warm, which makes them easy to carry and comfortable to use outdoors on cold days. They are significantly lighter than my girlfriend’s figure skates.

I walked half a mile to a city rink with them in a backpack, skated for an hour, and walked back without feeling fatigued. The blades are centered on the foot so that my ankles don’t bend in or out, and the skates come sharpened out of the box so you can take them on the ice right away.

One thing to note: I researched Bauer skate sizing before purchasing and I am glad that I did, as it is recommended to get 1 to 1. 5 sizes down from your normal shoe size. I wear size 9 shoes so I purchased these in size 8, and they fit me well to slightly loose.

One thing I dislike is that it is hard to tie the laces to be tight around the upper ankle due to the shape of the plastic exterior, so they don’t hold on to my ankles as tightly as I would like. Also, the material feels a little on the cheap side.

If I were concerned about performance and durability, I would probably want better skates, but as I am only a casual skater they fit my needs without having a big price tag.

I looked for 2 years for skates for my 12 and 13 year old grandsons as they had outgrown children’s sizes. These were the only ones affordable. Adult Skates are SO expensive. So far these skates have been amazing.

So much so that my daughter in law borrowed her sons and is asking for a pair. I ordered them right before Christmas 2021 and they were delivered to Alaska in under a week in time to be under the Christmas tree.

I echo the other review of these skates that the Women’s sizing seems a little off. I’m a women’s 8 in Rollerblades, W 8. 5 running shoes, 7 (Men’s) indoor soccer shoes. and yet the W8 in these skates seems at tad big.

It was close enough that I added an orthotic insert and swapped out some longer hockey laces to make them work, but had trying them on locally been an option, I would have been curious to see how the W7 fit.

As the other reviewer mentioned, the EURO size seems to be the most accurate. (I have some W8 / EURO 40 cycling shoes. these are listed as a EURO 41. ) Try them on if you can.
