20 Best Womens Lacrosse Stick (2022 Updated)

Bought to play catch with my kids who are just starting out. No frills but handles well. Can’t beat it for $40. There are other reviews on here that knock it saying it wears excessively fast. Don’t think this is a fair knock on the head and shaft combo which is what you’re really paying for.

Comes with a soft mesh pocket and a substandard string job. I immediately ditched that, restrung with hard mesh, and it’s been great (sticks need to be restrung periodically anyway). Kits are inexpensive and there’s a great YouTube video by Powell Lacrosse that shows you how if you’ve never done it before.

I知 more traditional when it comes to stringing so the crux mesh pro was a completely new experience for me! i didn稚 love the bounce back it seemed to have. i loved how light the shaft was though.

in comparison, i致e had my STX exult 500 stick for ~5 years and i feel like i have to work less with that stick versus the crux pro. the pocket has some tweaks with ground ball retention it seems (when you scoop, it tends to bounce out).

I think with a pro form or traditional strung pocket, it wouldn稚 have that issue. passing and shooting is a dream with this stick though (although the offset does take a bit to get used to!) it does take a bit to get used to but not a bad stick overall.

i would recommend the shaft 100%. i think if youæ± e looking for a big upgrade from a beginner stick, this is a good choice but if you already have a good intermediate-advanced stick, i wouldn稚 say itç—´ that much of an upgrade.

if youæ± e looking for a similar feel, get an offset, light/skinny, shaft :).

Purchased for son (12) first year. Originally planned on purchasing the stringking complete Defense. Was not in stock and he needed a stick right away. The hammer 7000 shaft is a very nice shaft from what I have read and we have had no issue’s so far.

The Proton U head is a very stiff head with just OK mesh and stringing. The head has been replaced with a stringking INT. Throws and catches and grabs GB’s much better with this setup. Its not as stiff and slightly narrower but has much better string and pocket.

Proton U head was put on a stallion 200 so we have an alright extra stick. Good value for OK quality.

I bought this for my “new to lacrosse” niece. I think the package is a great value, hopefully she’ll use this set for a couple of years. Even though other retailers have the same deal, Sportstop has the fastest order processing and shipping.

After years of coaching and supporting five older kids through soccer, lacrosse is a new experience for me. Basically, I knew next to nothing about the sport, and the type of equipment needed, when my 4th grade daughter asked to join lacrosse.

Being the detail oriented person I am, which sometime drives my wife crazy, I did extensive online research, while consulting with other parents who had children already in the sport. I landed on this as a greater starter pack that offered a good quality stick, googles, and bag at a nice price point.

It’s a good stick for learning how to scoop the ball off the ground. So far, after a few weeks of practice, we are quite happy with the product quality and design.

I bought this around a month ago, I’m a beginner and I wanted to save money on a stick. The netting is horrible it broke in extremely quickly and the ball just slips out. You defiantly get what you pay for so even if you are just beginning I would just purchase a more high-quality stick.

I bought this lacrosse stick 2 months ago. I am new to lacrosse and just wanted a stick that would help me learn and good for me to start on. This stick has already broken one of the strings and the pocket is invisible.

My strings kept coming untied so now the pocket is constantly changing. I am now gonna need to buy a new stick because my season starts in a week. I do not reccomend.

The benefits of this stick is the lighter feel, and fantastic head that likely will not need to be restrung. I have an older STX stick and the pocket seems to deteriorate. I believe the String King will last until my son is old enough to go to 10U.

If you can afford it, this stick will get your kid started right, and will likely save money in the long run if you have another kid who will use it or if you resell it.

I think that all children beginning to explore and participate in the sport should be strongly encouraged to procure a StringKing Complete Junior stick. I am convinced that it will allow them to throw and catch much more effectively right away.

This will allow them to enjoy the game rather than losing interest as they struggle to throw and catch with inferior sticks.

This stick is lite weight and come pre broken in straight off the self. I bought 2 sticks one for my son and one for my self. Prior to this my son and I have used STX stallion, Nike Lakota, Nike Vapor 2, Warp evo next, and a Warp pro evo whip 1 head.

Back to the StingKing intermediate complete stick. Straight off the self my son and I felt like we were playing with sticks we’ve owned for years. The netting and pocket were perfect, literally like something you have spent months breaking in.

The price of $99. 00, I feel is the best stick at this price range. It may be bettter then a $200. 00 stick. Bottom line if you have a youth player that needs a new stick or a youth player just starting lacrosse, this is the stick to buy!.

I purchased this about a week ago, and have played with it for the past 4 days after it has been shipped. It takes only a day of breaking in and it really whips and has a great pocket. This is the first time I’ve played with mesh, and I’m pleased.

I also play collegiately and have played for the past 8 years. I recommend this stick over competitors like STX & Brine, and I’ve used STX my entire life. 1, this stick is insanely light but holds up on it’s own against checks and pushes.

The mesh offers a wide range of power and is extremely accurate. What’s nice is the mesh will always stay consistent, as opposed to traditional strings that will give out and rip.

For what you pay, it is a pretty good product. This is a high end head with a lower end shaft. If you are looking for the higher end shaft, look for composite and not alloy. With the shaft being cheaper it makes getting the complete stick more affordable.

The pocket and hold is awesome. This stick”s awesome hold feels almost like a boys sick. It is super light. All my teammates comment on the weight. My head did crack at one point and I sent it in to get a replacement.

Overall it has been a great stick and I would highly recommend.

First off, Sportstop got this to me insanely fast, as always. This was going to be my daughter”s Spring and Summer tournament stick and it still might become that but it might actually be ‘too advanced’ for her right now.

The rail pocket is awesome. A lot of hold and nice fast release. The shaft (WS32 in her set up) is Epoch perfect and if you”ve never tried one you owe it to yourself to try one. Nice snap to it with a great feel.

On to the head. If you are an elite player than you should try this thing, stiff where it needs to be with some give near the throat. If you shoot hard and can use all this set up can offer than it”s a game changing weapon.

If you”re still learning or have some flaws in your play, I”d tell you to find someone with one and try it first. Epoch has delivered what they promised in this thing. A weapon for the elite player.

this is my favorite stick but i have gone through 3 heads in one year. the head material must be ridiculously cheap plastic as it has cracked and broke completely 3 times, twice being within 2 weeks.

One break was due to taking the draw, another break was due to the ball hitting the top of the head while catching the ball, and the other break was from the stick slamming the ground. It’s sad, I love this stick so much, but it is not durable at all.

My older daughter has used this same stick for the last two years in middle school. It is a great stick to start out with, easy to catch & throw and quite durable. My daughter has honed her skills into a starting position with this brine stick.

So when my younger daughter decide to start her lacrosse career, we came back to the Brine Mantra Rise. She is in 3rd grade and this stick fits her perfectly. Shopping and shipping with Sports Stop. com is always easy.

Great first stick for my pixie! It has to be cut down some, but it will work great for my daughter’s first year of lacrosse!

Nice stick for my 8-year old daughters.

I used this shaft for the past season, and I thought it was great! It gave the ball a little extra whip. It”s very light, so you can feel the ball very easily. The butt gives a bit of extra reach which is nice too.

I would recommend this stick to an advanced player. There are some wear and tear things that I”m not a fan of, but I can look past because I love the shaft so much. After a while the butt starts to get loose.

It doesn”t come off but loosens and wiggles down a bit. You can hit it to go back up, but that”s only a temporary solution. The protective weather coating comes off a little bit from where your hands always are, but that”s quite normal for that kind of coating that the shaft has–I do use gloves though (personal preference regardless of shaft).

Also the coating does not hold up the greatest to checks, it get”s little knicks only a visual downside really. All in all though the whip and lightness of the shaft make it one of the best I have ever had.

My daughter has this stick now for 2 years and was looking for a second/new stick so we wanted to purchase the same one since she loves it so much. It is lightweight and the shaft is a thinner diameter than standard which my daughter prefers.

She is a middie/attack and has developed a powerful, accurate shot with this STX 500 10 degree shaft/head combo. Sportstop. com delivered in just under a few days and answered several questions I had prior to the purchase.

Price was competitive. Sgipping was quick. My daughter loves this stick. She could feel the diference in the weight immediately and said shooting and passing was effortless. She had to adjust her power back a bit to get used to it, but after a full day of tournament play, she was right on target with passes and shots.

For reference, she is a 9th grader playing at the elite level with senior commits.

This was exactly what I was looking for. The strings weee already set up for you and ready to play right out of the box. The way this head throws is nothing else than perfect. Highly recommend the quality of this stick head it’s 10 degrees that allows perfect accuracy for shooting.

I’m short, very impressed.

Lasted me a season although one of the stringing holes snapped through and the scoop warped a bit, but it still held up. Regardless, best defensive head out there and is very stiff. Was worried at first because it doesn’t have a tight channel, but the hold is just as good if strung well.

Definitely getting another.

Love the head, this was the 2nd Crux 600 I purchased. Didn’t LOVE the Crux mesh stringing though. The launch pocket was perfect right out of the box. The mesh appears to be taking more time to come together.

The crux mesh pocket doesn’t have the same hold as the launch pocket. The release point on a step down shot is just a little later in the shooting motion as a result, and the feel of the ball coming off the stick is very different.

I can’t tell if there is a difference in velocity but it just didn’t feel like there’s as much whip. That said- the mesh is nice for a player that might rely more on finesse than power or attackers versus alley dodging midfielders.

Love the way the mesh performs on other areas of the field, soft when receiving a pass, and throws nicely when passing. The setup with the crux mesh is VERY light too.

This head was overall good. I got it in like 5th grade and had used it for two years. (I got it re-strung to mesh). If you are more of an advanced/elite player I would invest little more in a head like the epoch 15 degree or another head with good ball control.

However, if you are on a limit, I recommend this head. I play mid and I had good draw control, my shots were decent, and my defense was also good!.

I have not been able to use this head just yet but when we have our night games and our night outs I cannot wait to show off my glow in the dark lacrosse head.

I love this stick! The ball cradles in the sweet spot, and the shaft is grippy. It”s awesome.

It”s a really nice head but as I mid I wish I would have got the dynasty 2 head as I”m more of an attack player.

Have a few girls on our team using the Axiom head. Some are using the Axiom shaft and one using the Alta. All the girls really like the lightness of the set-up, but have issues with the ‘air wires’. These strings need to be watched because they they will tear thru the sidewalls or they tore apart.

Now she needs to replace the all of the strings because it is impossible to replace one of these smaller strings. Overall, great versatility for mids and attacks. Good launch velocity and accuracy. Solid scoop, with good ball position/pocket on set-up.

As my second stick it is definitely an upgrade. I really enjoy the bottom and it is very easy to shoot with. For a beginner it is a little challenging at times if the ball doesn’t quite hit in the perfect spot and falls out.

Also a little difficult as a beginner to scoop ground balls because their is no curve to the head but pocket shifts a ball up and holds at a nice high spot so is not easy to come out when being checked.

Would recommend to an attack for precise shooting.

My daughter has this stick for about 2 years and loves it. She plays midfielder and attack. She says it’s light weight and the stays in that sweet spot. She had nothing negative to say.

We ordered this stick on a rush for our state tournament. Disappointingly, when the stick arrived (ahead of the tournament), it did not have a stopper in it. We sent an email to web sales inquiring about the missing stopper and asked that one be sent ASAP so the stick could be used the following day.

We received a reply the next day with. “We apologize for what happened to the stopper. We called Gait and our Gait rep. They are sending a couple to you. Unfortunately they dont send us extra to stores.

” A question I have is. how do you sell a stick, let alone mail a stick, to a customer that does not have a stopper in it? A $250 stick might I add. Well, we had to remove an older stopper from a boys head, trim it to fit and then glue it down so it could be used because the stopper was not received timely from Gait.

We finally received 1 stopper in the mail 5 days after our initial email. The low review is based on the sale and not the quality of the stick.

I am so happy we got my daughter this stick! Its great. I will tell you the local store in Paoli, pa was not helpful. The people running the store were rude and not at all helpful when I asked for help in measuring where I should cut my daughters stick.

They were like I don’t know an inch and didn’t even look at her or ask her height. I know the person I asked is a manager of some kind. I won’t be visiting that store ever. They also sold us a maverick stick as the best and later told me this was a mistake.

Daughter loves the upgrade. Light, pocket is play ready and very similar pocket location to her previous set up. Pocket holds ball tight for easy fakes and various cradle styles. Sport Stop had best price, most color options we could find on the web.

It may snap in the first fall-ball game but until it does, this is the lightest shaft I’ve had. Feels nice. Probably picked up some mph on my shot. Whether I did or not, this thing feels good and man it’s light.

The shaft broke in half after 9 months of use. My daughter never had a season so most of the use was during practice with the exception of two tournaments. Although this shaft is lightweight, it is not durable.

Super happy with this shaft. It is sleek, modern, and extremely light. It looks great with my yellow stringing and I have loved using it.

Since the start of our Lacrosse venture we have always either had Under Armor, STX, or Nike sticks. My daughter loves the Nike stick, she went from another model to this stick this year and we have loved it.

the feel of the stick in hand is very good and doesn’t need any sports grip tape which is a huge plus. the head and stringing of the stick is great for her purpose and she is always happy with her Nike Lacrosse sticks! I also am truly raving about Sports Stop and their competitive pricing, I was a bit apprehensive to get a stick online but it worked great and the shipping was super fast (less than a week to get to Texas) so thank you for that as well!.

This is my second review since my first one was removed. This stick is garbage! Used at a high school JV level but says it’s for elite level players! Head broke halfway through the season. Lacrosse Unlimited was more than willing to help but it was considered a manufacturing problem which then falls on Nike! Should have known better than to by Nike product trash.

STX takes care of all nikes trash sticks. Contacted STX and told 7-9 weeks for a someone to do something. Going on week 11 still no one bothers to contact me. Terrible!!time to get the BBB involved.

The stick arrived well strung. Only required the slight adjustment of the outside channel strings, “leathers”. It threw comfortably from the start. Similar feel to my daughters Crux 500 w) traditional stringing.
