20 Best Womens Leather Briefcase (2022 Updated)

Pros: I LOVE this bag (mint color). I wanted to wait to review until I got a few months of travel in. I’ve been using it for about 5 months and it’s held up great. I love that the leather is more stiff and holds its shape.

I travel everyday for work and it’s been great for constantly being put in/out of the car and airplanes. It holds all my files and my 17″ laptop. Plenty of storage space and I get complements on it almost daily.

I’ve used both the wheels and shoulder strap. No issues, easy to take on and off wheels. Cons: The laptop sleeve that came with the bag does not fit my 17″ laptop, but I just use my own sleeve and it fits into the bag.

If you are on a small airplane with the smaller overhead space it will not fit above. I have to take it off the wheels.

Pros: I am so happy with this purchase. It is easy to transport with the removable wheels and looks beautiful. The quality of the leather is very high and the overall appearance is very professional.

I am required to transport multiple computers and peripheral devices for my work and it fits them all perfectly. I would absolutely recommend this briefcase for anyone who doesn’t want to carry a heavy bag.

Cons: I don’t really have any negatives. Maybe I wish it were a little bigger, but it fits 3 computers, a portable keyboard, mouse, portable screen, and portable hard drive. All this and there is still space for notepads, papers, and other basic office items.

Pros: Gorgeous bag! Just the right amount of storage for what I need, easy to remove clips/bag and put them back on, can fit my laptop, files and charger, wallet, cellphone, etc. and the case isn’t overloaded.

I originally bought a McKlein Wenonah (from another company) and the laptop sleeve was too small plus, it would have been far too heavy to carry everything I need on my shoulders. This bag is perfect size (laptop insert even fit my computer!) and I am able to go from client meeting to client meeting without tweaking my shoulders.

And, as a shout out to LuggagePros, the bag arrived super fast after ordering!.

Was happy with everything but the engraving, I asked for it in a different color and the last initial is always suppose to go in the center a bit larger. The color is the same as bag and in same color you can’t even see it.

Quality of bag is very nice!.

I’m quite pleased with this item. For me and my use of an item that’s not too big was first in my search. The interior is perfect, as is the zippered “pouch,” on the outside. I selected a darker red, which I’m also pleased with.

The weight of this item is also a plus. (I determine that, by what I put in it. ) I’ll not be putting very heavy items in it. I would recommend this to others, for either personal use, or as a gift.

Beautiful Navy Blue. Lots of space inside. Zips easily. Only wish the initials were a different color than the case itself. Love it! Thinking of buying one for my niece.

I was thrilled when I opened the box!|Pink is my favorite color. I was not disappointed. Roomy compartments for laptop client files battery chargerpens & highlighters. Love the “swivel” action of wheels.

So easy to manuever. |I do wish the handle extended just a few more inches longer. I’m 5’6″ but it’s not so short that it’s uncomfortable to pull. |I also bought a pink leather luggage tag tha.

Pros: Has a lot of room, multiple pockets to separate smaller items, Light weight, very maneuverable. Have not used it long but so far it is working out great. Cons: Would be great if the expanding handle had options to stop before it is fully expanded.

Seems a bit too long for me I’m 5′-5″.

I love this bag. It is replacing the same bag, but from around 2008. I used it every workday (6 days a week), multiple times a day, and the bag held up well. The leather (and color) looks better on this newer version of the Toploader, and the zippers look better quality as well.

The downsides: 1. The size is just a touch smaller than the 2008 Toploader (the very back pouch is a little smaller, the back compartment next to that has 1 divider instead of 2, the handles are a little shorter length, and the expander zipper that allows more room when needed for the entire bag has been removed), 2.

The zippers are high quality in the very front pouch, and the next 2 pouches. But the zippers on the back 2 pouches are not as beefed up – I don’t think that’s a good design, and it’s a little arbitrary to think that people will necessarily use those 2 pouches less.

Other than that, a great bag. And I am being picky, but hey this is Samsonite. Everything they make should be perfect/flawless.

This business leather toploader bag is great for your business needs and travel. Plenty of compartments to store your items and room for safe carry of your laptop. However, I feel as the top product that the zips on this leather bag should be all the same colour – black – not some silver metal and others black.

Having all black zips like in other business bags would make it more stylish and slick. Find the silver zips take away from the looks of this product. Also – it is time not have your product produced in China.

A very nice product! It is big enough to hold all of my papers, computer, and phone. The briefcase fits nicely under the seat on the airplane. It is easy to carry through the airport. I like the leather material.

I also like the price of the product. Overall, I would recommend purchasing this leather briefcase.

This is a classic high quality brand with excellent products. For luggage the price/quality ratio is excellent. I have purchased many products from this brand through the years and they literally last forever! Besides the design is remarkable.

I am totally in love with this Samsonite Leather Expandable Business Case. It can be unisex for both men and women to use. It carries a lot of items such as books, papers, pens, folders, etc. I totally recommend all business people carry one.

We got this for my father who travels for a living. He has had it for about 3 years now and loves it. Its durable and long lasting and looks very sleek. He loves being able to put everything in it without worrying about space.

Theres plenty of room to fit all your necessities. And fits great into overhead compartment or underneath chairs on planes.

This item was shipped in a tight box and neatly packaged. I am impressed it came so soon. However, this was a gift and it was obvious it was Samsonite right on the box. It was good I found it before my husband.

My husband was worried his items would jumble all over when shut, but with the items neatly in the briefcase they hold in the perfect spot. My husband is a tow truck driver and needs to bring many essentials, pens, invoices, flashlight, etc and this briefcase has done the trick.

Needless to say, not one scratch on it yet, and in the towing business they can be rough with items. Great item! I would recommend to anyone.

The rolling bag is a beautiful compliment to my work gear. I have received many compliments on this bag. The space on the inside is a little tight but it works for me since I don’t have a lot of items that I travel with.

One of the features that I like the most is that the handle is practically hidden and I often will hold the bag when necessary and no one knows that it’s a rolling bag. I didn’t give 5 starts because sometimes the wheels get stuck when I’m rolling the bag.

I’m not sure what’s causing this but it has not stopped me from using it. I have just kept rolling the bag until the wheels start moving again.

I recently purchased one this briefcase as a Graduation gift for my step-daughter and she loved it. The bag was beautifully crafted and stitched inside and out. It had many compartments and it had the look and feel of the highest quality through and through.

Love this laptop bag. Received many compliments. Only reason didn’t give 5 star is that the padded area for laptop will not hold mine but I have been able to put it in the middle pouch with no issues so far.

I received this bag last week and will be returning it immediately. The leather is of poor quality and more resembles cheap car interior material. My wife didn’t even think it was genuine leather. I have a similar bag from a different manufacturer I am looking to replace due to a cat using it for a scratching post.

I read the positive reviews of this Samsonite and decided to give it a try. That was a mistake. The price was much less than I paid for the other one and I got what I paid for with both bags. I encourage anyone looking at a classic leather flap over to consider other options.

I have purchased other products from E Bags and have been extremely pleased. Not so with this Samsonite flap over.

Great bag! Plenty of room inside for anything I want to carry. Well organized interior with sufficient sections, pockets and zippered storage for anything needed. The exterior has a beautiful professional appearance and is very durable material.

Having the handle come through as opposed to being attached to the top flap makes it easy to carry even if the front straps are not fully secured. The attachment points of the shoulder strap are well placed to maintain load balance.

The curved zipper for the larger compartment provides easy access to content. The interion is well padded to protect content, especially the section intended for a laptop or notebook computer. I highly recommend this briefcase.

All aspects of this bag are great so far– accessibility, storage capacity, pocket sizes, zippers, stitching, etc. I thought I would love the magnetic closures that are “hiding” behind the fake buckles, but after a couple weeks I have determined that it’s really hard to get them lined up and locked into place.

I’m past the 14-day return policy (was traveling with the bag for the whole two weeks), but if I had it to do over again I’d get the version of the bag that has the more traditional slide-in clasps instead of the magnets.

But, I can live with this minor inconvenience because the rest of the bag meets my needs.

I wanted a leather briefcase bag for job interviews, especially something that would be water-resistant on rainy days. After looking over several of them, I chose this one and glad I did. I needed something light, not too bulky and looks professional.

The is a great briefcase and suits my needs, as it doesn’t really hold much, but exactly what I need it to. If you need a briefcase that’s lightweight and professional looking, I recommend this one.

I bought this product in Sep 2015 and used for office purpose. I have used to keep my laptop and small notebook. I am in sales job and used to carry the bag to client meetings. It was never mishandled and always maintained well.

I used to carry bag for 2-3 days in a week. After almost 2 years of purchase, I saw the bag’s stitch coming out. I was very much disappointed as it was supposed to run longer.

Samsonite is a reputable company known for quality product. The Laptop Mobile Office was very sturdy, weighty and solid. I gave the item 2 stars because it may look VERY nice, it was not practical for everyday usage.

1. The zipper stops about 4 – 5 inches from the bottom restricting the opening to put in/take out items. 2. Even though the item is well crafted and PADDED for electronics, too much padding takes up the limited amount of space that would have been used for storage of folders, notebooks, or ledgers.

3. Take to heart, the photo that illustrates the space and how it is used to store folders, pens, papers, etc. well, that is an ACCURATE illustration of the amount of room available. Unfortunately, I happen to be one of those people who need more space for more than just 1-2 THIN folders and 1-2 writing utensils.

4. I know that over a short period of time, I will have ruined a beautifully made item from the stress of being forced open beyond the manufactured design of the zipper, forced to store more files, ledgers, and folders than the capacity shown, and frustrated with my purchase because it will not have met my needs.

I will be asking for a refund and looking into buying something more practical and less aesthetically pleasing.

I love this bag! The quality is great. The look is elegant, professional and sturdy. The wheels roll with ease. It is light weight easy to lift as just a bag when I don’t need to roll. Not big and bulky.

My only con is I have a three daily read books I carry around and only two fit in the bag with out making the bag bulge. Purpose Driven Life is one of the books and the other two are close to the same size.

If you need to carry around attache case or folders, papers and pens and a book or two it is perfect for that. Any more will make the bag hard to close and will create bulging. The iPad (tablet) compartment is also very nice I have the 2nd generation iPad mini and with a flip case when I put it in the compartment and push it down nice and secure it also makes the front compartment a little tight to close, it does close without bulge but still requires a little pressure when there are pens in the pen holders.

But to keep the bag nice and light weight I am sure sacrifices have to be made. This bag was worth it. Even with the cons I would still buy it again. I am very pleased overall.

I was hesitant to get this bag after reading some reviews regarding the size. This is why I am adding this review. It is the perfect size for a work bag. Fits my laptop, my leather portfolio, that’s pretty think and other necessities.

I ADORE this bag. It was a gift from my boyfriend after I told him I needed a new laptop bag, and he knows I don’t care for backpacks. I’ve been carrying it almost every day for several months and I can’t find anything I can complain about.

The price point is amazing, especially for the quality. I’ve purchased other bags in this price range (and higher) and they don’t hold up nearly as well, and they’re not definitely not as beautiful as this bag.

I also love the “feet” on the bag. I don’t carry a purse to work anymore; I only carry this bag. I agree with another reviewer that it IS a little heavy especially after I load my laptop, notebooks, and planner, but it’s so gorgeous that I don’t care.

I didn’t know it came in so many colors! I may have to purchase another one.

My granddaughter just got a huge promotion with NBC Sports. Got the Vintage Tote as a surprise congratulations present. She loved it. Said it was perfect to give her that polished professional look. It meets all the expectations of functional and organized needs.

It took me a long time to find a leather tote that was big enough to hold all my things. Specifically one that had a shoulder strap!! This bag is literally perfect and I’m absolutely in love. Do not hesitate to buy.

Amazing quality!.

Honestly, the colors weren’t as nice in person. The cream color looks different than it appears in the pictures. I had thought the colors along the sides were pretty & kind of retro/70s looking but wasn’t as much of a fan in person.

The bag is kind of bulky. I would have returned or exchanged it but I didn’t realize it was only a 7 day return window which I missed by a couple of days so I guess I’ll keep it or maybe try to offload it on Poshmark or something.

I was skeptical this bag would have everything I demand from style to function, but it does. Fits my 15” laptop, notebook, wallet, brush, keys, phones, etc. with ample space. Only wish it had an extra wide shoulder strap.

I wanted this bag badly, but when I got it the bag is heavy, and once I put my laptop and other items in, it was very heavy. I work downtown so I take the train and walk a lot, so the bag just presented itself to be bulky and did not do well for making my commute with the items I carry on a daily easier.

Unfortunately it’s not big enough to put on wheels. Also, there’s no hooks on the sides of the bag for the long attachable strap, which works better for long distance carrying. Had to return it. =( I put that I do not recommend, because it’s required, but I only don’t recommend if you will be carrying this bag around a lot.

Otherwise, it looks great, has a lot of pockets, and decent space.

I waited for this bag for 2 months with high expectations, but was disappointed. When I ordered it, the picture showed the black version with red piping trim. But, instead, it arrived with the white stitching that is now shown.

The white stitching is okay, but I think it would have looked a lot better with the red piping trim. The bag does look very elegant and chic and has lots of organization compartments, but it’s stiff, heavy, and not easy to open (espcially the front flap).

I’m hoping it loosens up as I use it more.

Pros: Perfect size to bring to client meetings or to conferences. Not too big where it is bulky, but big enough to fit a portfolio and other docs. If you remove the sleeve you could even fit a laptop.

Holds all documents and my keys so there is no need to also have my purse. Straps at the top also help to adjust the width if needed.

So much room! I carry 2 17” laptops and the largest IPad Professional they make along with files and charges- EVERYTHING fits! The bag is very high quality! So happy I purchased it!

It IS shiny, but doesn’t look “cheap” in my opinion. It’s ginormous and fits all my stuff, I’ve had other big purses/laptop totes and although they’ve held up, they appear to strain under the weight.

This bag is pretty stiff, and doesn’t appear to be overloaded (no bulges, no stretched straps). I’m going to buy a second one in brown.

This is a very nice briefcase, the quality seems to be outstanding, and it is well built. The only thing I would have different, is I would prefer to have the main compartment open more like an actual briefcase versus more like a laptop case.

I don’t intend on using mine for that, I have a laptop case.

After searching for several days for a particular bag, this was the one that I chose. The leather and the make of the bag is with great quality. I have become a little bit disappointed with the outcome of the bag.

I haven’t reached three months and the bag strap is broken. I feel that with the thickness of the leather and the make of the bag there’s no reason for the bag to already have an issue with the strap.

I do not carry heavy items in the bag, so I am uncertain why it would break so soon. The plus side of the situation is as soon as I contacted Buffalo Jackson support, they were prompt with their response and stated that I will receive a new strap within the week because it was under the one-year warranty.

I hope that with what I thought with the price and quality of the bag it will last longer than a year being that the strap had to be replaced in less than three months.

Bought this for my husband and he absolutely loves it!! The quality is fantastic – great craftsmanship and really durable leather. He loves all the little pockets to store things in and is looking forward to breaking this in over the next several months.

I like this bag a lot. It’s quite nice for the price. The construction is good and it has survived commuting on public transportation quite well. It’s nice looking too and has plenty of space for my laptop, some gym clothes, and a bunch of odds and ends.

Pros: Lots of organization, nicely crafted, solid build, holds my MacBook Air. Great briefcase for my needs. Cons: minor issue but the shoulder strap crosses over the main opening and where it attaches on the non-zippered side kind of gets in the way of sliding my phone into the hidden phone pocket.

This leather briefcase is very well made, has room for a laptop or tablet, but isn’t so bulky it becomes a hassle to lug around. Love that it looks and carries more like a briefcase than a suitcase, and that it compliments everything from a suit to a pair of jeans.
