20 Best Women’S Orthotic Sandals (2022 Updated)

If you like to wear sandals and need good arch support, I highly recommend these PowerStep sandals. I have flat feet and wear size 8- 8. 5 sneaker and purchased the size 9. The CS told me they run small.

They were right on. Fit is perfect. The sandals are comfortable. Affordable price and quick delivery.

I use Powerstep orthotics (the serious podiatrist-prescribed ones) for a disloated cuboid bone in my foot since last winter. My summer sandals–except my old Keens, of course–lack the arch support I now need, so I was hoping these Powerstep flipflops would provide the same kind of support my Powerstep orthotics do.

They are OK. but not as much arch support. And I have to size up because there are no 9. 5s, so the arch doesn’t come in quite the right place. Furthermore, the toe area is pretty narrow (I have wide feet) and my little toes hang over a bit.

For someone who doesn’t need a half size and has a narrow foot these would be OK but all-day use in the summer, for serious arch-orthotics users, is not so great–my foot hurt the next day, sadly.

I love these sandals. However, the fit is such that I am going to buy a men’s sandal next time. The fit is not right for my foot. I wear thongs all summer with a sturdy foot bed. I normally wear an 8.

5 in US and 39 in european. I have to buy a 10 in your product.

This is my first Vionic purchase and I am very pleased with these sandals. I was very hesitant to order a pair of flip flops for $80, but I thought they were so cute that I decided to give them a try.

I ordered the Rose Gold in a Size 9. I am usually a 9. 5 in sneakers and boots, but I can size down in flip flops and sandals. These fit me perfectly. The foot bed is unlike any other sandal/flip flop I own.

The bottoms of my feet feel so good when wearing these. There was no adjustment period. I put them on and walked around the house without any issues. They are so comfortable that they almost feel like I’m wearing a sneaker (the grip and support are that good).

I have been wearing them everywhere for the last week and I really like them. The only complaint I have is that the foot bed gets dirty and can’t really be cleaned. I put them on with clean feet, but walking around in the backyard or in the elements can cause the foot bed to get dirty since the color is very light They aren’t easy to clean because they are made of some kind of material that isn’t the usual flip flop material that can easily rinsed off.

Either way, they are great and I’m happy I bought them.

I have worn Vionic for years. I wear a 9. 5 m or W if the shoe is narrow. This shoe runs between a B & C width. I ordered M and it is fine. I have a high arch and great support. The straps seem loosely made which is fine, but if they stretch they won’t be comfortable.

I needed the orange as shown online and on air. When I received them, (Fiesta), they were neon and brighter than a construction cone. Cute, but not if your matching and outfit. The grosgrain ribbon is flexible, however rubs against the skin and hurts from abrasion.

It is also a bit wide for between toes. I feel they get more comfortable with wear, however foot pain is possible if they slip around. Each foot is different and if the padding or width on your foot works with these, then they are great, you have to try to know.

Order true to size. These are cute and can be worn a little dressy or casual. It would be nice to see a recorded video with the colors and not a video with snapshots of colors online. I also would appreciate it if in general the hosts or guests can be detailed about sizing and the models sizes.

Pricey in my opinion. I try them around the house before deciding, even though the color is defective or not disclosed correctly, before deciding if I will keep them.

I have Plantar Fasciitis, These shoes are working wonders for my feet. Within an hour of wearing them I felt better. I felt my back was not tired, I felt like I was standing better with the shoes on.

With my Plantar Fasciitis I was in pain and not walking well. I could feel pain in my knees and hips and then of course in my back. I had to do something. I had heard Vionic shoes were good but did not know if they would be comfortable with my current foot problems.

I kept buying shoes that said they were designed for people with PF. None of those gave relief. I am on my feet all day and the comfort and fit is wonderful. I am here today to write a review and look for another pair I can wear as an everyday summer shoe.

I bought the wide size nine. I was afraid the thong part would rub against my toe. I am happy to say they fit well and no rub. I think I could have sized down to 8. 5 wide. The arch support is there and hits just perfect on my foot.

The thong is made of fabric and not plastic. (think shoe lace) The thong part comes back on the side of my foot far enough to add support when I walk. Another fear I had was that I was just going to flop out of the shoe.

I normally do not wear flip flop type of shoe but with the pain and swelling I have I thought this would be a good place to start. I also chose to divide my payment up into easy pay. This would work better for my budget.

I am overall pleased and I would recommend these shoes. QCV makes it easy to order and return so I am out nothing. Happy !.

I wanted to like these, but they were not comfortable across the top of my feet. I like the orthotic foot bed & the overall style. However, the straps are too stiff. I would like to see them do better in that area.

For instance, clarks slip on sandals are usually pretty soft and pliable. But they don’t have the arch support I need. I wish vionic would do better in that area for the straps that go across your feet.

Unfortunately I had to return these. For the amount of money for these sandals they should be able to do better and have much softer leather for the straps across the top of your feet.

Another comfortable, supportive sandal from Vionic. They have become my favorite brand of summer sandal. My other new favorite is Alegria. Both have great arch and heel support and I can wear them all day in comfort.

I am a teacher so I am usually on my feet all day. This sandal does look better in person IMO. I purchased the black ones because I like the black foot bed. It makes my foot look sleeker which I need because my poor feet are wide.

I really like Vionic slides because they stay on my feet and don’t make that “slap, slap” sound.

This Vionic black sandal has the type of fit that they are famous for. I ordered these because the price was less than the department stores. The over foot straps are made of soft rich leather. I will keep my eye out for some of the other colors.

I love that orthopedic support with a modern attractive design.

I have bought so many Spenco’s this year including 3 of these. What gives? I can only wear one pair at a time! I first bought the purple which is more pinkish but still cute. And I bought the light blue which looks more lavender and very cute.

Could not stop thinking about the orange so I just got those. Love! Don’t dismiss that color. Very nice with the navy bottom. I really like that the strap is wipeable and has a bit of a light neon look.

Spenco has put out great color combos this year. The prices are creeping up but the shoes last a long time. I wear some type of Spenco every day. Keep it up Spenco!!.

I purchased the light blue floral pattern in size 10 medium. Love the floral prints. I usually wear a 9. 5 wide but these sandals in regular width were already too wide for me. I felt like I had some sort of snowshoe on my foot.

Not attractive. If you have a narrow foot I would not bother, as my wide foot looked wrong due to how much sandal was showing on each side. They felt comfortable but I didn’t like the look and worried they’d get even looser with wearing.

Too bad. If you have an extra wide foot they may work for you.

I LOVE Spenco sandals. I live in thong sandals since I have bunion issues. The colors offered in the Yumi Blume are so prettty with a cute printed footbed. I ordered the Light Blue and the Purple in 9W.

Great fit and very soft footbed, unfortunately the material covering the footbed is similar to a satin or sleek polyester which causes the foot to slide in the shoe. I have a longer second toe that seemed to take the brunt of holding on to the shoe and I developed a blister after one wearing.

Sadly I had to return.

Not the same shoe, not as supportive, slips on wet surfaces, too thick. Too soft and falls apart. It’s a shame, use to be the best, but now its worse then the rest. I get you are trying to cut corners and make money.

Thats the post covid way. But at least still offer the original at a higher price. After all its the original that actually does what you say it does for support. The new ones are a complete fabrication one step above junk.

This was the absolute best sandal made with fantastic arch and total foot support that was also very long lasting with a rubber out sole. The strap and upper are still fantastic, but Spenco replaced the long lasting rubber sole with the same soft material that used to be the mid sole.

Now this sandal wears out quickly and has much poorer traction. Please Bring back the original and charge more for the original.

This is one of the first pairs of flip-flops I’ve ever bought that are actually wide enough for my feet – both the footbed and the straps, so my feet don’t hang over the side and the straps don’t pinch.

The shape of the footbed is very supportive and comfortable. My only quibble is I wish the straps were a slightly softer material; they’re a bit rough on my feet, especially the toe strap. The sole is pretty hard and might be slippery on some surfaces, but it looks like it will wear well.

These aren’t the soft, cushy type of flip-flops; these are ones that will actually support you when walking.

My friend with plantar fasciitis turned me on to Orthofeet as I’ve recently developed it, too. I had looked through a lot of comments online about different brands but was having a hard time making a decision.

So it was nice to have a personal recommendation. They came quickly, even to my very remote location in Hana Maui. Immediately I could tell they were well constructed. They looked even better in person than in the photos which was a relief since some comments seemed to think they weren’t all that attractive.

They’re solidly constructed yet not bulky looking. The fit is true and if it’s not perfect out of the box, it will be by the time you fine tune it using the 4 adjustable straps on this style. I like the feel of the stretch fabric that goes across the area by the toes as it keeps the strap off that portion of my foot and feels, for lack of a better word, kinda “cozy”.

I tried the orthotics but didn’t find them comfortable for my condition but in all honesty, I tried them only for a couple of minutes then removed them. The directions say to use the inserts for 3-4 days in order to adjust to the different fit, if I recall.

I didn’t at the time but might in the future. So far, they’re comfy, lightweight and attractive. I can’t, unfortunately, claim they’ve solved my pain issues (because I don’t think any shoe will fix it, but make you more comfortable and not add to it) but if you don’t get any pain, then you never know if it was the shoe that had something to do with curtailing the discomfort or it was just a good, less painful day to start with.

(Hope that makes sense. ) I recommend this shoe!.

The pewter sandals are very attractive and stylish and I am enjoying, for the first time, wearing sandals! I purchased the extra arch booster as I have quite high arches and that was just the exact fit I needed.

I’ve gotten compliments on them and it’s the first time I’ve found a sandal that does not make my toes hang over the edge, fit way back from the front or are too narrow as my feet are wide and I have longer toes.

I am impressed with the 2-way strap fit. I like that I can fit the strap across and then slide it off and on making the sandal open up in order to slide my foot in quite easily. The velcro tab on the right side is a real plus.

It keeps me from needing to bend my back in a twisting action. Which, for me, is a wonderful blessing since I have severe chronic back pain from 2 back fusions that left me with MORE pain than when I went in and that was 10 years ago.

I will definitely buy from Orthofeet again in the future. It’s also the ONLY store that has the BEST styles of any of the other ones I researched before choosing OrthoFeet. I appreciate the specific details that you added into all of your shoes in every attempt to make them the excellent choice! I am very thankful that I had OrthoFeet to choose from for my first pair of sandals that fit absolutely perfect, the first time in my 65 years of life! I don’t lie, so you can take that to the bank!.

The sandals are good quality and they’re soft from the time I put them on. I especially like the double adjustable strap that goes across the top of my foot: I need the extra length. I wish the sandals didn’t have a small heel.

IMO, a flat shoe would be better. I tend to slide forward off the toe of the shoe, despite adjusting the strap across the toes. And for some reason my toes go numb, I can’t figure that out. So these sandals aren’t perfect for me but they’re better than other sandals that I’ve tried.

I have one foot with fallen arch and I can wear these Orthofeet sandals. They seem to get more comfortable the more I wear them. I live in Florida so I would really like to wear sandals instead of shoes and socks for the summer.

I’ve recently developed plantar fasciitis and trying to find a fashionable, yet comfortable sandal for this condition. Tried Spenco but they were too wide. I did keep one pair to wear around our house with our tile floors.

This Vionic sandal is very cute and has been advertised on the Q as an Orthotic shoe, so I was very hopeful and ordered two colors. This sandal is so wishy washy on my foot with no support whatsoever.

Plus, I absolutely cannot put up with the slap, slap, slap when I walk. This is reminiscent of cheap flip flops, and I expected so much more from a shoe with this price tag. I feel I could walk out of this shoe with no effort at all.

This is supposed to be an orthotic shoe??? No more shoes from the Q.

I love these, they are so pretty and comfortable, only thing I’m not happy about is that they are too wide. The size is correct and fit ok only a little too wide, I find myself curling my toes to keep them on.

I’m afraid they will slip off. I ordered my regular size of the 8 1/2 there was no N-R-W to choose. Normally I have a wide foot and seem to have the opposite problem, them being too narrow. I will keep them and wear them of course.

I have worn pointed toe high, high heels (Hence foot problem) lol I can Handle these. I will recommend these because they are so pretty but aware they are a little wide.

I love these sandals! They fit true to size, have good arch support, and the strap is very comfortable. The leather is soft and the strap is cushiony. This sandal is easier to walk in than some Vionics with a thinner strap.

I bought the green and may go back for the black.

Vionic sandals are my go-to for comfortable, walking sandals – plus they have wide sizes available in several styles. I will note that while my foot is wide across the front toe bed, it’s not chunky up and down.

The 8 wide accommodates my wide width, but might not work as well for an all-around bigger foot.

I bought these a few weeks ago and don’t want to wear anything else. I’d heard Vionic shoes were comfortable but these are beyond comfortable. They’re stylish and go with everything. You can dress them up or down.

I’ll be getting more!.

These shoes are very comfortable, and the sizing was spot on. They actually helped to soothe the discomfort. I highly recommend these, for the comfort factor as well as the aesthetic value: these shoes are attractive.

The best sandals! I put them on in the morning and don’t even think about them until I take them off at the end of the day. They are lightweight, super comfortable and quality made shoes. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I have a bunion and a hammertoe. So there are so few shoes that I can wear. I love these sandals so much! I plan on getting several more colors!

This pair of slippers fit great! It is my third pair in the past 5 or so years. The velcro straps make adjustments easy for each foot, and the raised orthotic arches make wearing these sandals around the house very comfortable.

I only wish the company would resume making the blue color sandal for women, or another pretty color. This was the color of my first pair of Dr. Comfort Kelly sandals that I purchased for my house slippers.

Black gets to be boring!.

I bought these sandals as extra pair to some I already had. After being diagnosed with posterior tibial tendonitis in my left foot/leg which caused a now chronic foot problem, I have to wear shoes with orthotic inserts and always have to have something on my feet.

These sandals are a lifesaver for around the house, so I pretty much have them on all day, very comfortable and give the right support. Highly recommend!.

Because of serious health issues, I could not wear other sandals and still maintain my balance. I spent so much money on other sandals. Ortho, form fitting, every kind at any cost—-nothing worked. I would cry from pain, and lack of balance.

I use a walker, as a fall would be critical. We have been running my one pair of DRC sandals through the washer to keep them fresh and I have to wait til they are ready. I am so afraid of something happening to them, I am buying a second pair and a third when I can.

Had to get these on order of podiatrist who forbade me from ever weary cheezy flat flip flops again! I looked at more expensive ortho-flip flops, but opted for these as a trial. I wore them for two weeks straight on a beach vacation – in the sand, in the water, walking through town.

They did a great job of supporting my feet and were pretty comfortable. The toe strap was a little thicker than I was accustomed to – but it never caused a blister or broke the skin. I loved the fact that I would wear them while shelling in knee deep water and they still look good as new! I would recommend and will buy again.

I chose the black color.

I ordered these because my old pair finally gave way and had no arch support. I have horrible plantar fasciitis so needed a pair that would really support my arch. These did the trick! Felt the support the moment I slipped them on.

As for fit: I am a woman’s size 8 (US) not wide so I ordered a size 8 in these sandals since others said they fit true to size. Well they fit EXACTLY to size. Meaning they are probably a half size smaller than what we expect in the US.

Since they fit and are not too tight and my toes are not hanging off I am keeping them however I will order a second pair one size up just in case.

Arch support in flip flops? Yes please! These flip flops fit comfortably, even with my high arches and they’re attractive. A year after receiving them, they’re still intact, even though my 60-pound border collie mix drags them out into our back yard every chance she gets and tosses them around.

Not only have they survived Daisy’s idea of a good time, they don’t even show any tooth marks. And if she drags them in mud, a favorite game, it wipes right off. Can I give them 6 stars?.

Despite what I consider to be an odd design (the soft toe post loops around the heel) this sandal is really very comfortable. The first time I wore them was all day at a street fair and my feet felt great.

Some reviewers said the heel strap is too large. I didn’t find this to be an issue put if they do stretch a couple of stitches will fix. They stayed securely on my feet while walking around all day and the soft straps are non-irritating.

Even if the design doesn’t thrill you, give them a chance and you may be pleasantly surprised. I would buy these again in other colors.

Great shoe is quality made and supports feet in superb way. Excellent arch and cupping of heel. The foot bed is not soft but the support is wonderful. It is so good that you do need to get used to it if you have been wearing unsupportive shoes.

Great shoe is you wear orthotics. You won’t need an insert with these. In between toe was comfortable. Perfect fit. Sized true to fit. These do run slightly wider than other shoes.

I love my sandals. I had originally purchased a size 8 but returned for a larger size 9. They arrived today. They are a perfect fit and very comfortable, have them on now. They are made very well. They are a great value and I highly recommend for someone with feet problems as I have after years and years of wearing 4″ heels.

These are so cute on, but are too wide. I bought a half a size smaller. I have a wide foot and they are too wide, but I’ll keep them. I’m thinking about wetting them to see if they’ll shrink and be some tighter.

If you have a narrow foot, these shoes are not for you.

Telic Sandals are the most comfortable. Great for everyday wear, especially if you have to stand on concrete a lot. My heels are so much happier, and my lower back feels better too.

Great fit, great arch support & they stay on your feet, no sliding off! This brand of sandals in all styles is a great buy for feet that are too tired at the end of each day….these really help !!

bought these and they were great the first time worn. Left them out on the porch and they shrunk 4 shoe sizes when they were exposed to sun.

OK, been years since I’ve worn a sandal. I discovered KURU in Spring of 2021 and fell in love with the instantaneous foot pain RELIEF! Hence I’ve have bought several styles of KURU shoes over the last year, the most recent being the SUOMI.

I bought the SUOMI because I wanted a sandal to wear starting with Easter weekend and beyond, something that would look nice with a dress, skirt, jeans and capris. I bought the newest color, the pretty aqua blue.

Sandals fit my feet so nicely, adjustable straps are a great option, leather so soft that they hug and stay on your feet without feeling loose or even feeling tight. Comfort for my feet and no foot pain.

I worried about tripping since these are a sandal but they hugged my feet nicely. I’m VERY HAPPY with this sandal.

I needed a new pair of nice black leather sandals for the summer. Since I already love my white Roams and my black/lilac Atoms, I decided to try out the Suomi sandals for the first time. I’m a big fan of Birkenstock, Chaco, and Oofos recovery sandals, but I have to say that the Suomi sandals are now on the top of the list for wearing for work or play – and especially when I have a lot of walking to do.

From a health standpoint, I’ve had 6 hip surgeries over the past 40 years, including two replacements on my left hip. Most recently I had an Achilles repair surgery. My orthopedic issues cause significant back pain in addition to hip pain.

Needless to say, shoes are very important to me. I couldn’t recommend these more highly.

I would give these shoes 5 stars for style, but 1 star for plantar fasciitis sufferers. My PF is so bad I have to wear sneakers pretty much all the time. I have a few pair of sandals I can wear, but none as pretty as these, so I was so happy to find them.

The buckles are even adjustable, which I loved because I have slightly narrow feet. But. I can’t wear these sandals for more than an hour without having a severe plantar fasciitis flare-up, that sometimes gets even worse the next day.

If you suffer from PF, give these a pass. If you don’t suffer from PF, they’re perfect.

I loved the first pair so much I went back right away and bought the same sandal in a second color. I recently started to retain water, which was temporary, and needed sandals that I could easily adjust.

Plus, my feet can swell with the summer humidity. These shoes adjust so easily, look great on my feet, and are very comfy! My feet also feel supported while I walk. If you are looking for quality sandals that offer support, are easy to adjust and slip on, I highly recommend!.

I had a life and death surgery little more than 17 years ago which left the circulation in my legs and feet horrid. I must wear compression stockings for the rest of my life. Because of this, it was very difficult finding footwear that is 1- stylish and 2- supports my feet.

Most often I would find a shoe that is either or but never both. Finally, I found a shoe that is both stylish and comfortable. I like that the insoles are detachable. It has Velcro attached to the soles to prevent the soles from moving.

The only negative about this sandal for me was that I got a blister on my big toe from the shoe when I first wore them. I am contributing this to having the straps too loose and my foot rubbing up and down while I was walking.

However overall, great shoe.

I was so hopeful when I saw the Cruise sandal made by the Drew Company. It was available in 10WW. that was a gift in size and difficult to find. I have been wearing Drew “Milan” for years. They stopped making them, although I surely wish they would bring it back.

The style of Cruise looks just like Milan. it is not. Somehow the fit is not the same. The composition is different. I prefer a smooth leather top, rather than the pebbled leather in Cruise sandals. The sole is the greatest difference: Milan has a leather sole.

Cruise has a man-made sole which is uncomfortable and I worry is slippery. At 78 years old, I do not need to fall down. I would pay more to get a leather sole. It seems logical that cost is the only reason for the change in composition of sole.

You have sacrificed comfort and safety for saving money. Sadly.

I would have given the originals a 10 star if I could have. I bought originals and when I went to buy additional colors you were selling tide II. 4 friends and family bought them after seeing mine. Well the sizing changed from the original tide and they no longer fit me.

(the instep was much larger on same size with no adjusment ) I sent them back. Tearfully. Let me explain I have type 2 diabetes with lymphadema. Skin on my feet is very thin. I blister easily. I still wear my original pair but they no longer look polished as they did for the 1st few years> PLEASE IF IT IS NOT BROKE < DONT TRY TO FIX IT> I now have the need for a adjustable instep strap, at least one strap or more.

I usually wear a WIDE in Vionics. The description online and on air states that it actually runs a bit wider than a medium. This is true. My previous Tide flip flop had its last flop. I saw this Tide II in the cutest Hot Pink and had to order.

It is perfect fit for my wide feet. They run true size in length as well. The reason I love this flip flop is because it keeps my lower back and neck in alignment to protect me on my house hard floors.

I am at an age that I have to have arch support while walking. I use these Tide II as my house slipper. Love that I am also able to go outside with no issues. I also have a pair for normal daily life out on the town.

They are cute enough to wear casually and with dresses for a day event. It seems like a lot of money for a flip flop but it is worth it!.

I use to wear inexpensive sandals and my back and feet was always bothering me. My cousin told me about these and now they are the only sandals I purchase. No more backaches or sore feet! They are expensive but so worth it.

I purchased several pairs about 4 years ago and they are still going strong since I rotate wearing them and , where I live sandal weather is only about 4. 5 months out of the year. I highly recommend these to anyone who might have back issues due to wearing poorly constructed sandals.

I have also purchased the insets to wear with my regular sneakers and shoes and they work great! I also wear between a 7-8 shoe, with these sandals the 7 fits great on me.

I have over 20 pairs of Vionic sandals and was excited to see this one. I wear a lot of flip flop style Vionics and thought this would be dressier for work. I ordered 3 pair and just wore the pewter pair yesterday for the first time.

So disappointed in them. Like others have said, the shoe is very loose and moved around too much for my taste. On the tightest hole my foot still slid in the shoes and at times I looked down and my toes were over the front of the shoe.

Go back to the drawing board with this one and bring back one that works.

I bought two pair of these sandals and absolutely love them! They are comfortable and stylish. They don’t fit as tight as most sandals do but I live in the south and my feet tend to swell a little when I get hot.

These are perfect and look great with shorts and sundresses. They do fit true to size in the length.

I bought these for my daughter’s wedding. I love Vionic because so have extremely flat feet, and they are so supportive. However, I do have very long narrow feet. These run wide. I can’t figure out why some of their shoes come in a 12 and other Do not.

I have a few of these hoodies from the previous year. I have both S and XS in size, and those are definitely more relaxed than this new version. I got this one in S and its shaped slightly differently, not as over sized.

Just something to keep in mind. If I were to get XS thinking it would be the same fit as the older version of it, it would definitely be tighter.

These are a great flip flop if you are looking for s support and comfort. They are well made. My biggest gripe with some flip flops are where the straps are secured on the sides. Some rub the bottom of my foot and make them sore.

These do NOT do that! Happy dance! I really like the feel of the strap and the sparkle. These are perfect for the beach or a day shopping or just lounging around. I will be ordering more colors!.
