20 Best Women’S Roller Skates (2022 Updated)

Haven’t skated since I was a kid/teen, so wasn’t sure how these would work out for me. But I have been getting bored with my pandemic exercise program. I did a lot of research on sizing and indoor vs.

outdoor skates. With Target’s pricing and great return policy, I decided to try my luck with these skates. I sized up 1 from my regular shoe size and the fit is great. Boot seems to be good quality, and easy to adjust fit with the laces.

I skate in a parking lot several times a week and the wheels remain in good shape.

These are nice skates but cut small. Had to return. I wear a 9 in women’s 8 in men’s. Ordered 8 in men’s and it was way to tight. Size 9 probably would work BUT was sold out. Shipping was fast but I didn’t like that the box wasn’t wrapped.

They just pull off shelf and stick label on it. Can clearly tell it’s a pair of skates when delivered. Something to keep in mind. Don’t want to get hit by porch piorate.

I Ended up with these skates because of the price and the fact they were in stock. I usually wear a size 9. 5 and ordered a size 9. Size wise they work well for me. The outside of the boot is very stiff which gives me great ankle support.

However there is no padding whatsoever in these boots. This is causing blisters on my inner ankle. Fortunately I have a narrow foot and ample room in the top of the boot. I have used small socks folded up to put between my ankle and skate to make them work until I get a better pair.

These are quite possibly the worst skates ever made. I figure skated for 13 years. I took up roller skating two years ago. I’ve worn a lot of boots in my life. These are by far the worst boots I’ve ever put on my feet.

First of all, awful quality. The tongue is some weird foam that goes flat instantly. There’s zero arch support. They’re stiff and if laced like intended, don’t allow for any bending. I skipped the last eyelet and even after breaking them in, it was almost impossible to bend my ankle.

The worst part is, they’re incredibly narrow. I have narrow feet and they barely fit in. After any amount of skating and foot swelling, it becomes unbearably painful. If you can, save up for better quality skates.

Save yourself the pain and hassle.

What can I say. I have the impala inline skates and the strap even on the lowest setting was very painful on my legs. I wish Impala was more inclusive than this. Other than that, this is a great beginner skate.

They are Not super fast, so you can’t go speedily crashing into places. They are good enough for my needs. Message to impala: thicc women like to skate too. Inclusivity is wheres its at. I kinda wish it was a velcro strap even, or that maybe they’ll develop a soft boot style.

I want to love these skates, but this design for skinny women is very upsetting and disappointing. Why are full size women less deserving?.

I purchased this skate as a total beginner that has never been on quads before. I used to skate on inlines as a kid, but nothing crazy. The boots on these skates broke on me just 20 days into skating on them.

I am a beginner, so I was using them perhaps 30 minutes to an hour daily to literally just practice mobility and moving around. The vinyl ripped at the heel on BOTH boots to expose the meshing underneath.

I can’t describe how unbelievably disappointed I was when these skates broke on me—for $100 these are absolutely NOT worth the price! The same exact problem happened to my friend who had her skates maybe a total of 30 days, also a beginner with no experience.

Look elsewhere for other affordable roller skates. There are lots of options that are just a bit higher in price but will last you MUCH longer and actually be worth the investment you put into them. Nothing is worse than feeling like you’re just starting to get the hang of things and then having to stop because your skates are broken.

I have since managed to purchase much higher quality skates and it is so apparent how quickly and cheaply the boots of these skates are made. Steer clear of Impala!.

First pair of roller skates. Good price. I like the low top because they are easy to get into. I wear a 7 in womens (very wide feet). (My left foot is about 6. 5) and the 6’s fit me well with about a half inch in the front.

I wish the toe stopper was black. Been out in the flat parking garage with them a couple of times and they roll well. I don’t think I would take them anywhere that isn’t super smooth even when I get better.

I initially purchased a pair of skates for a popular online retailer. Those skates had good reviews but were A. Uncomfortable B. Didn’t have the traction I wanted for going fast around the skating rink.

These skates on the other hand were perfect. The wheels work great and provide a lot of grip / traction and the skates themselves are very comfortable. Thanks Academy for providing them at a great price with extremely convenient store pickup.

Wonderful purchase. They are true to size and fit comfortably. You do however have to loosen the bearings because they are extremely tight. If you are a beginner skater, the bearings are inside of the wheels and it is what helps make the wheels turn faster or slower.

Excellent quality boot with great, smooth stock bearings and decent outdoor wheels as well. Very supportive and comfortable right off the bat, definitely getting more comfortable with wear. The colour is gorgeous and bright just as in the pictures, and the metal plate feels really substantial.

“Downsides” are personal – the stock cushions are very hard, so I’ll buy softer ones. Also the laces, while very pretty, are way too slippery. I recommend buying waxed laces if you feel the same, there isn’t a lot of give in the vinyl and it’s a faff to tighten them and get them to stay tight with the stock ones.

If you don’t like pretty rigid ankle support these are not the boot for you, the ankle comes reasonably high and they are a stiff boot. But outside they give me a lot of confidence because they are so supportive, it’s all preference.

As a beginner skater, this is a great pair of skates. The boots are relatively comfortable and break in easily. There is also a lot of padding inside the boot that help to absorb shocks from hitting rocks.

Also, the skates are very cute and come with a y shaped skate tool and toe covers. It’s a great value!.

The skates are soooo cute. But theres no padding inside. The skate is kinda uncomfortable. Sizing for half sizes is hard. You can definitely find way better skates somewhere else. But the color scene is to die for.

If you want beauty over comfort, these skates are for you.

Skates are amazing, I’ve been wanting some Moxi Lollys for a long time. These skates came as described, unused, unlaced, and with crab tool and aqua energy skates. They’re gorgeous!Unfortunately these are just a tiny bit too big, I should have found a size 7 somewhere but I took a chance and will most likely have to resell them.

I can get away with skating in them, but to me my foot looks big even though I could wear them probably. The skates themselves are of impeccable quality, structured nicely and durable. I have not laced them up I just slid my foot in the right skate with a sock on and saw how much space I had.

They feel snug on the sides of my foot as do my other pair of Moxi Beach Bunnys. I wear an 8. 5 in women’s but I’m in between 8. 5 and 9, my foot doesn’t stop at 8. 5. which is why I should have ordered a size 7.

Lesson learned! But I love the skates, I love the wheels and am awaiting a different pair of Lollys to arrive in size 7 so I can see how comfortable those are. Once I know those fit well, I will most likely list these Clementine skates.

If you’re interested in purchasing skates of quality, Moxi Lolly is definitely the way to go. I highly recommend. Also, make sure you do your research on you proper foot size! Women’s size should be 1 to 1.

5 sizes down (ex: 8. 5 women’s =7 in Moxi Lolly). but measure your foot so you don’t make the same mistake I did!.

Skates weren’t bad, however, the customer service is terrible and showcased how little the company actually cares about the ones keeping it in business. For that reason alone I will never order another thing from this company or recommend it to anyone.

Thank God they couldn’t send another pair. All I wanted to do was exchange my skates & customer service decided to instead go back & forth with me through EMAIL, couldn’t even pick up the phone. Trust, I tried calling on multiple occasions and no one would answer and I got my call log to prove it.

Shop Moonlight Roller (Black Owned & Woman Owned) or Impala if you want great skates with a company that cares!.

The only thing I dislike about these skates are the toe stops and the laces (I mean for the price is it that hard to throw in some funky laces instead of just beige?), but I dont dislike those two things enough to drop the rating down a star.

These are really comfortable on my narrow feet, so I recommend them for people like me. I actually got these to replace a return that were too wide for my feet, these are definite much more comfortable! These are very good to put on and just go straight away.

Havent really had to adjust much either. I dont do any skate park stuff so cant review them for that purpose (I hear the nylon plate is not suitable?), but theyre super smooth for leisure skating. I also had really good customer service from the staff at skatescool returning the previously bought pair of different brand skates and exchanging them for these.

So if you have no choice but to buy online where you cant try anything on, then I do recommend them.

I’ve been using these skates for a week now so I decided to write a review! I ordered these July 15th and received them July 31st (using standard delivery). I followed the Angelskates Instagram and they posted on July 21st that my order group was starting to be shipped.

After three days I dm’d them on insta for an update because I hadn’t received my tracking number yet and they responded very quickly! The next day I had tracking info and was able to see where my order was through the “shop” app.

They had one heck of a travel because they went to China, Japan, Hawaii, California, Tennessee, then finally to Virginia haha. They arrived a little over a week later and came with two extra bearings and a tool to adjust the wheels.

My first day of skating they were a bit stiff so I loosened my wheels and trucks and they feel great now! I ordered a size 8 (I’m a Women’s 9 1/2) because I wanted more control out of a tighter fit. I would definitely go with an 8 1/2 if you don’t want toe pain lol.

It took about 3 days of skating to break them in (skate without having one of my big toes feeling a bit squished). The wheels have been awesome for skating on my gravel driveway and inside on wood floors but I did order some Radar 62s for outdoor/trail skating.

I would compare the fit of the boot to Chicagos as it does offer ankle support with its artistic style, but it doesn’t have cushioning like Impalas or Moxis. Would definitely say these are great for beginners who want to skate now while waiting for the restocking or shipment of skates from more well known brands! We received the skates in good time and the quality of the skates are remarkable. My daughter is a new skater and didn’t do well on them, She is recovering from surgery to fix a fracture, but she can’t wait to heal and try again.

We will be supporting her ankle. But this says absolutely NOTHING negative about Angel Skates Company. we did a lot of looking for skates and these are by far the best we found. Then when we received them I was amazed with the quality of the product.

My 11yo daughter and I both bought a pair of these skates a out a month ago. In that time wheels and trucks have randomly fallen off while skating. The plate is made of plastic and mine snapped. Reading some reviews of these it sounds like these are common occurrences.

We are both at healthy weights and weren’t trying to do any crazy tricks. Just rolling around a rink. Stay safe out there and think about looking at a different pair of skates!.

I’m new to skating and these are a great find a good price for beginners. The toe stop is definitely cheaply made and it wears quick The first few times I used them the plastic on the toe stop peeled off, it seems to be easily to replace them but I have yet to do it.

The boot itself feels comfortable for me although I got a size bigger than my shoe size only because that’s all the store had, they had a size smaller and a size bigger so I went for the bigger one and it’s no big deal.

The quality of the boot seems to hold up, I did have to adjust the wheels to be able to turn better after a few times of using them, they come very tight which can be a good thing for beginner skaters so you don’t fall all the time.

Also don’t forget safety equipment, helmet, knee and elbow pads, and wrist pads.

These are good beginner outdoor skates and they will hold up for years. I will buy a upgraded pair for the rink with different wheels. You don’t have to do this but I want to just grab and go without changing the wheels for different landscapes.

Don’t listen to the snobs and the pros. These are great entry skates! Perfect for smooth surfaces and cruisin around instagramming with your friends. With the skate shortage I’ve had trouble getting my hands on anything.

These are awesome! And worth the price! The wheels and toe stop are fairly poor and need to be replaced but the boot, plates, trucks all seem to be well made! Chicago use to use plastic plates which is why they get a lot of poor reviews but I’m loving this safety and performance upgrade! I wouldn’t recommend these as is for extreme skating (like ramps and bowls) My upgrades cost around 120$ (toe stops wheels laces accessories) bringing my total to 180$ which is around the price you’d get for better brands.

So pick your poison. I’ve had fun “making” my own great pair of skates though!! I’m a 7. 5 in women’s shoes I got the 6 fits perfect!.

Do not buy, I have a pair because I was new to rollerskating and wanted a less risky/cheaper pair. Bearings (what hold wheels to boot) came loose after 3 wears like BROKEN so I can’t re tighten them, material for boot doesn’t look good when skating folds weird and the toe stops are junk, junk eraser material threads immediately and a weird design means you can’t replace them.

The one thing to keep in mind is I am an outdoor skater so these skates might cling a few days longer to life if you skate inside. Sorry don’t get mad usually but was so excited for the first few days wearing them, now I’ve just lost my nerve cause they are so sketchy with the wobbling and no toe stop.

PLEASE READ! I read reviews from people who said that they were true to size. I had a totally different experience. I wear a six and a half or a seven and I bought the seven. I would understand if they were a little large, but they are huge probably more like an eight or a nine.

I like the skates, I like the wheels, I tried to get over it but it was just too much. So my recommendation would be to try to find them in store, or just be prepared to return them if the size doesn’t fit.

Other than size though I think they’re good esp for beginners.

A lot of the reviews say to buy a size smaller, but I just bought a 9 women’s (I’m typically an 8-9 normal shoes, and an 8 in men’s skates) and they fit pretty well. While there’s definitely some extra room, I laced them a bit tighter and they fit perfectly.

The boot goes about an inch or two more up your leg than average rink rental skates, so they have more support and feel more “attached” to your leg. The toe stops are pretty large and flat (not peg-shaped), so it’s really easy to slow down or stop.

They do weigh 7. 5 pounds total, so be prepared for a workout. Because of that, it may also be harder to sustain high speeds unless you’re really working at it, but it’s been easier for me to stop or slow down quickly.

Overall, they feel very sturdy and strong, they don’t hurt my feet or give me blisters, and they roll very nicely. No adjustments required; I skated on them for a few hours immediately after opening the box.

They worked very well on the smooth concrete sidewalks at the park, but rolled a little bit easier and faster at the indoor skating rink, so be advised. I ordered them on a Friday; they took about 5 business days to ship.

I had to call to change my address while the order was in route, and the customer service representative was very helpful. Overall, great product.

These are fab. They’re a great price and SUPER cute in person. I get lots of compliments for the retro feel. They are stiff the first time but break in pretty great and didn’t hurt my feet at all. After a ton of research, these are for sure the best skates for beginners.

I’ve never been coordinated and bought these on a feverish whim but they arrived in two days and a week later i’m cruising outside and soooo in love with my new hobby. I followed the size chart (i’m a 9.

5, got the 8) and they fit beautifully and I can ride them for hours without discomfort. I’ve used them every day since I got them and i’m thrilled Moxi made a gorgeous, affordable skate! Likely hooked for life.

I recently purchased the Marwa Rose Gold at the end of May, 2022 and returned them by the end of June. I absolutely loved, LOVED how they looked and was so excited to get them! I wanted to love these so bad but unfortunately, they were the most uncomfortable skates I had ever put on my feet.

I take skating lessons at the local rink and I would try to skate in them but after 10 min I had to take them off each time and get loaners from the skate counter. I did this on several occasions until my instructor said, “they are new, you’re gonna have to break them in” so he encouraged me to wear them during the lessons.

I tried, but it was complete torture. I was in so much pain it made skating so unenjoyable. I know it was the right size and all because I took them to a skate shop and I got fitted and measured just to make sure.

I asked the owner of the skate shop if he could maybe stretch the skate to provide more comfort because I thought maybe it’s because I’m flat footed. He explained that the Impala skate is more of a novelty skate.

They “Look” great but aren’t really made for comfort. He also explained that because of the material, the couldn’t really be stretched and that material was a rather “hard” material. Now, I don’t want to bash Impala AT ALL this is just MY experience.

I can honestly say I bought my 16 yr old daughter green and pink pair and they are fine on her feet! I did not send hers back. The return process for me was super simple and customer service was very nice.

I ended up getting a new brand of skates, Jackson Vista in purple and let me say TOTAL DIFFERENCE! The level of cushion and comfort is indescribable! I could sleep in those skates!!! I couldn’t wait to try them on the rink floor and immediately total difference! And yes they are exact same size as the impalas.

Yes, these skates are so pretty!! The colors are sooo versatile. They are lavender with rose gold plate, lavender toe stopper, and the flowers are periwinkle, hot pink, green, orange, Fushia, purple, yellow and blue/teal.

You can set these up in so many ways! I am a beginner skater learning how to skate for the first time and purchased these in December 2021. These are my first pair of owned skates, so I have nothing to compare them to.

They were super stiff when I first put them on, but I am getting used to them, and I hope that the material will continue to get more flexible over time. I wear a size 9 shoe and ordered a M7/W9. I believe these fit perfectly from what I can tell.

The boot was not too tight or too big on my foot. As a beginner skater, and after a full month of daily outside and inside skating, they have not let me down. My favorite part about these skates is that they do offer a lot of ankle support.

I cannot stress that enough. I think these skates have saved my ankles due to me having a dominant right leg. I’m always on that right ankle (darn it) and when I notice the extra strain, I am grateful I have these skates to support it.

The wheels are super pretty, but they do get foggy, and you can no longer see the design. I’m going to call Impala to see if I can purchase another set of these clear wheels. With that being said, the wheels are a good hybrid wheel.

I skate inside and outside, and I feel that the wheels have adequate grip and slip for the speeds I’m comfortable skating at. I will eventually upgrade my wheels to a harder grade, but these are fine for now.

I would love to see Impala upgrade their skate options (suede) and with an adjustable toe stopper. Overall, I would recommend the Impala brand.

These are the first quads that I’ve owned in 15 years and I haven’t skated at all in 3 years so needless to say, I was skeert. They are lovely, the ankles are nice and supportive, but not uncomfortable, and I wear a 7.

5 and the size 8 fit perfectly with wiggle room for thick socks. which I definitely want to wear. They aren’t so loose that I banana-peeled myself in them the first time but super smooth enough to turn my tiled house into a skating rink and annoy my family at lightening speed.

I haven’t tried these outdoors yet but will be doing so as soon as it’s a little less juicy out. If you’re on the fence. get these. IDK about people who skate avidly or have much basis for comparison but as someone who LIVED in skates and at the rink until close to 30.

I’m almost 42 and have clearly lost my mind picking these back up, but this midlife crisis ain’t gonna have itself. I definitely recommend these skates. They are well-made and I didn’t notice any defects or feel any concern with the materials, they are well lined, and the hardware looks good.

I have skate-boarders in my house so I’m a little familiar with that stuff and nothing felt cheap or off to me. LIFE IS SHORT! GET THE SKATES! FALL DOWN ON TIKTOK! DO ALL THE THINGS!.

I think it’s the best thing it has for a beginner or even intermediate skater. The ankle support is just right. I recently bought a pair of skates that has a ton of ankle support but it way too much to do tricks and just learn.

So PrettyFly skates has enough ankle support to protect your ankles while still allowing you to do tricks and other moves.

The support and way they hug your feet was perfect for me as a beginner. The wheels are perfect for skating inside my house, garage, the rink, or even outside in semi-rough surfaces. The material of the boot is great! I’ve fallen countless of time and although I have a few scratches on them, it’s nothing compared to what it has really happened.

Super comfortable! Love the color. I did change the wheels to 78A, and loved them even more!! Definitely recommend these skates to any beginner skater! They are also true to size!

Wife loves the quad skates. Its been 30 years since we both had skated previously and these Impalas give her a lot of confidence. She gets lots of compliments on them too. Pictures can due them justice.

Really holographic and shiny. About the only things we had to adjust/ change was the factory settings on the trucks were too tight as were the wheels, but this was expected. Easily adjusted with a wrench.

We ended up changing the bearings to some Rollerbones and they provide a much smoother roll than the factory ones. We’ve only rode indoors at a wooden skate rink, so uncertain as to how it rides outdoors but my wife likes the grip of the wheels so far.

At the price we paid, it was well worth it. Bearings aside, we still paid less than others, by buying at Tillys. Impala makes wonderful skates. Glad I found them here first.

I absolutely love my Rollerblades- they are fantastic quality and look just like the picture. I was a bit worried they wouldn’t look as good when they arrived as there were no pics of them being worn online but they look great! I’d been wanting a pair of roller blades for months and being able to get them from an independent store is a big bonus- or should I say bonas ;).

i love the skates, the colour and the design. however, they’re not comfortable. the material is so hard that after 30 minutes my feet always start hurting. maybe its just that my feet are too wide though.

apart from that, they’re wonderful.

Amazing amazing amazing. I had forgotten to write a review, but after a year of continuously using these, I have absolutely nothing bad to say. Not only are they pretty but they’re also incredibly comfortable and great skating in! Easily adjustable in every aspect.

They were my second pair of Side-By-Side’s and I have no regret! I would definitely recommend these to anyone who is considering getting a pair. I bought them in store and the workers were very helpful and even let me give it a go around the store! Definitely a go-to store for me.

It only took less than 2 weeks to get here in Victoria BC from Denmark! However, the duties calculated at checkout weren’t precise. It was $10 more than expected. The skates itself is amazing! Great beginner skates with all that padding.

I’m normally a size 6. 5 but got the size 7 which turned out perfectly! Not snug, not big either. If you’re planning to skate outdoors with these, I suggest getting toe covers asap because mine scuffed up instantly with its lining I’m sure is about to pop out the next time I accidentally scratch the toe again.

If you’re looking more for jam skating, this might be harder to navigate with its thick padding. Overall, great for outdoor skating!.

I love this skate, the color story and the message. I ordered them to serve as my indoor pair of skates and went for full color since my outdoor pair are basic black. After skating, I obsessively wipe the white wheels because I want them to look pretty when I’m posing, lol.

I wish they had a darker wheel color option but I love the lightness and brightness of this boot. After I customized them with my favorite color coordinated accessories, I can’t take them off. I just sit around in them like they are bedroom slippers.

So glad I found these in my size and for that price! No problems at all with shipping. Very happy customer.

I have not been on skates in more than five years. This was my first purchase of skates and I am truly excited about having them. I am enjoying the comfort and control I have as I skate. You must know, that I , of course, I feel pretty and fly.
