20 Best Wood Candle Wicks (2022 Updated)

I am enjoying making candles with these candle wicks. I love that they stick to the bottom of the jar and stand up straight while I’m pouring in the hot wax and they are long enough so that I can wrap the excess wick around a table knife to insure the wick stays in the middle of the candle as it’s sets.

Very easy to trim the wick once the wax has set. Love getting more burning time on candles where the old wick wasn’t long enough to use all the wax and also the candles that had the wicks slip under the wax from using a candle warmer.

Now I can enjoy my candles till the wax is totally melted.

The wicks are lower smoke/soot than some of the candles I have. The wicks burn well. These are decent quality and price. The kit has everything needed. I reuse wax (relatively compatible scents) from old/used candles to make new ones.

This product is exactly as discribed and does a fantastic job in my home made candles. The sticky tabs included in the price makes even better value. I like the burn rate even and consistent.

First time with Woodwick trilogy. I am not a fan of cinnamon except in baked goods. I bought this thinking the 1st layer which I knew was cinnamon might not be strong since the candle has a mix of scents.

I was wrong. If you like cinnamon then this candle will not be a disappointment. If you do not then the candle may bother you some until this layer is burned away. I personally would not buy it again because of the Cinnamon top scent layer but you may like it.

This candle lasted a LONG time and I really do love the wood wick. It adds a very special something. Like having your own personal mini roaring fire complete with pops and crackles! Very cozy.

Beautiful candle! I got the first one and it had melted in the shipping process. Yankee candle replaced it promptly and this time the candle was whole. Very impressed with their customer service!

The jar design is awesome. Feels like a high-end candle. The smell reminds me of a flower scent mixed with a laundry detergent scent. I like the fragrance! This is my first time using a candle with the wooden wick.

It said to trim the wick down to 1/4″ by rubbing my finger on the top. I couldn’t do that before lighting, so I lit the wick and rubbed the black part off after blowing it out. The wick debris made a big mess in the candle wax and it looked awful.

However, I’m not going to deduct stars for that. It simply means I don’t prefer wooden wicks, but not that I don’t like this candle. All wooden wicks would probably have this issue. The scent fills the room well.

Every time I light it, I’m able to smell it within minutes. It doesn’t lose its scent as the candle burns. I’m satisfied with the fragrance dispersion. Here’s where the issue lies. It keeps releasing wisps of white smoke.

I noticed this while watching the cozy flame. I wasn’t sure why it did this, but by the time I was done using the candle, the room had a smokey smell. I even went and bought 2 more wooden-wicked candles (each from a different company) and I had the same issue with the smoke.

Not sure if this is something I should be concerned about. In this case, I don’t think Candle-lite did anything wrong though. It seems that all wooden wicks are going to be smokey and hard to trim. This particular candle wasn’t made wrong, it’s just made with a wick type I don’t care for.

I’ll still continue to be a Candle-lite enthusiast. If there’s something you’d like me to know, please tell me. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, or maybe the smoke isn’t something to be concerned about.

Wonderful ‘woodsy’ smell. Although classic ClCO candle and has a nice strong everlasting scent, it seems to be one of the more understated ones. The woodsy smell is a clean one, meaning no weird perfumey lingering smells.

It’s probably a good gift for most. It is also important to note that because it has a bamboo wick it flickers more creating a wonderful classic glow! It never goes out on it’s own. The flame is also larger because of the length of the bamboo.

Waaay better than a ‘wick’. Love this product line of candles!.

Let me start off by saying that I am normally a bath&body works candle girl. I rarely try others and have never had a different brand come close to standing up to my bath&body works candles. But this right here is a TRUE GEM! And $10 cheaper than B&BW! Not to mention its burn time is simply AMAZING! The smell literally fills the hall of my house from my bedroom.

It is truly the best candle EVER! Well worth the $15 because it will last you a couple weeks and thats if you light it every day for 6/7 hours a day! Don’t walk literally RUN AND GET THIS CANDLE!.

Woodwicks are great candles. They’re admittedly not my favorite, the crackling can be a little unsettling oddly, but they’re such great candles. The scents are wonderful, very strong and have great throw.

This scent specifically is so good. Like a men’s cologne in the best way possible. Not a ‘mens body spray’ scent like some candles that say they’re a musky cologne scent, but a true men’s cologne scent.

Musky and smells like leather from a cedar lined drawer, yum. 😍😍😍 I also know these candles are very long lasting. I’ve got a few that I’ve burned for 20+ hrs and it’s still only about half gone. The wick is really my only complaint for this scent and that’s kinda the whole marketing of the brand so not something they’re looking to change or something I would expect them to change.

I really should love the wicks and it’s kinda growing on me a little. I grew up with real fireplaces, wood burning fireplaces. And bonfires and camping with campfires. So burning crackling wood is a favorite sound of mine but this just sounds like danger to my ears lol.

Two issues; the relaxing lavender with wicks always out of stock?? The same with wood wicks just dont have the same quality of burning fragrance. I feel that I am wasting my money; and its my favorite candle! Thanks and regards, Vivian Fulks.

I love to burn this candle before bed – the lavender scent is perfect for unwinding and relaxing. I’m not typically a fan of floral/herbal scents, but I am unwaveringly loyal to DW’s lavender. The scent isn’t overwhelming but still strong enough to be effective.

I set out for my relaxing lavender scented things and this candle is the best most relaxing chilled lavender scent I’ve had so far , burn time is amazing just like the others and I seem to have developed a habit of walking around holding it while sniffing at it 😅.

I’m the one who just posted a review with all those pics. After gifting the mini birthday cake candle that I painted and glittered up on top, the lady I gave it to inquired about the safety of lighting it around all that glitter.

My new online research points out that this could be a safety concern. Depending on what type of glitter it is, it could be more or less hazardous (flammable as well as toxic if it burns!) So, I hope my mistake will help others to avoid that potential danger.

I’m going to quit sprinkling glitter on top of my candles, just in case. Usually, I just sprinkled a little and it’s been alright (as far as I know). But this was too much glitter probably and could be more dangerous depending on what it’s made from.

I was trying to repurpose melted candles and a candle container I had. The prior candle had three wicks, so I replaced them with three of these wicks. Everything went well until I lit my wicks. Their flame was much taller and larger than I had anticipated, so I had to be extra careful that they did not burn or catch anything on fire.

The wicks also burned hotter than the prior wicks that had been in the reused candle container. I know this because cracks appeared in the glass and eventually the container shattered, sending wax flying everywhere.

I wish the wick had come with instructions that detailed recommended use in terms of how many wicks should be placed in a candle per unit area. The three wicks I used were too much for my candle (20 oz, 4.

These wicks are of a high quality and are a great addition to a naturally sweet smelling beeswax candle. I was really happy how they complimented our high quality wax and were just what we needed to make very top quality candles.

The wicks burned out rather quickly within 30 minutes to an 1 hour max for me and did not wanna relight after trying many times tried with 2 different candles we made. very disappointed also Did not receive the 3M stickers that were promised as a gift.

🙁 seen some bad reviews on Amazon on these wicks. A lot of people gave a 1 star rating they claim the Wicks burn and fizzle out fast and they don’t stay lit long.

I use these wicks to make my own at home candles for gifts. They’re nice and long, so they make unique sizes containers for candles as well.

I really can’t properly rate these because they were too narrow for the oil lamp hole and therefore burned too quickly.

I had thought that the “wick’ would have some sort of quick burn property but it doesn’t as far as I can tell. Just a string of cotton

I’m very disappointed that only half of this candle burns. Poorest quality candle I have ever received. I’m not sure, but I think I’m going to have to throw the candle away since only half will burn.

There is a problem with the wick. It is down in the candle wax so it can’t burn. They scent is very nice but I’ve wasted money on this. This is the Trilogy with Apple Basket, Spiced Blackberry and Pumpkin Butter.

It is the hearth wick flame candle. Beautiful oval container, most unfortunate.

Love the scent of this candle, but the woodwick didn’t burn correctly. It fizzled out on second use. First time I burnt the candle the pool was even and the wick crackled and flame was high. Was loving this candle and my purchase.

Upon second use wick was low and kept burning out. Was highly dissatisfied with this, ended up taking the wax and using it as wax melts in a warmer. Hoping to get 90 hours of scent from the warmer.

Smells like my favorite season of the year alright! I cannot believe how well this candle permeates the house; I feel like I’m transported to a cozy alternate universe where the crisp autumn leaves are always falling and I’m snuggled up in a flannel blanket.

This refill is to be used in the Yankee Candle WoodWick Radiance diffuser. This diffuser has a warm light and diffuses scent in a nice subtle way that still permeates throughout even large spaces. I think this scent is perfect for the Radiance diffuser because it evokes warm notes and the light adds to the cozy effect.

Perfect for a nice cozy feel. As with all the Yankee Candle scent diffusers, it hits just the right note of emitting scent throughout the area but not being overwhelming. Some scent units are just overpowering for a day or so, and then it seems that the scent just disappears.

This is continuous and just noticeable when you enter the room.

This Woodwick Radiance Refill in White Teak has a lot of fragrance to it. I like how it comes tightly sealed in plastic to keep it fresh until you open it. It is a small little plastic mess free container that goes right in the Radiance diffuser.

These refills are convenient & easy to use. This refill has a masculine scent to it. It reminds me of a men’s cologne. It isn’t too strong though. It’s not overpowering. It has a smooth & non pungent quality to it.

This isn’t my favorite scent. It smells good though & fills the room with fragrance.

I am in love withhis scent. Ivenever used this brand and normally this scent is to strongest this is amazing. It fills my desired area but it isn’t so strong thst it’s a slap in the fsce. You actually smell it mildly and as you get closer it gets stronger.

It’s actually a nice relief. Thr smell is earthy and gender neutral with a slight sweet smoky scent. It’s something I’d hope to smell on a great night eith good friends and good food. It’s the perfect all weather scent.
