Just a little modification, and it works fine. It doesn’t come with any instructions. Some of the tabs and mounting holes need cut off.

This item did not match the textured finish, and was smooth. It just did not match the dash. I am returning the item for a refund. Quality was good. Good company to offer 100% satisfication.

Make sure you follow the template. Don’t just cut off the crabs you think you need. My don learned the hard way

I bought this aftermarket console for a 2008 TSX and I have to say it has been a great purchase. The console fit was perfect and looks really good once installed. The installation manual was very helpful and accurate.

If you are looking to upgrade this to your TSX I would definitely recommend you do it. The only con I have is the temperature control that looks a bit cheap compared to the original and the plastic material isnt too good.

But overall its fine.

It fit perfectly on the Acura!! Very happy with the installation.

I searched and searched for a dash kit for my car and everyone was selling the kit that replaces the storage bins at the bottom and bestbuy had this one online so I order it and it came in earlier than expected and I installed and it fit like a glove.

2004 Ford Ranger. Had a dash kit already installed but installer at best buy suggested using a new one (not a big deal considering the price) but it does not lock into the dash as it should. Installerat best buy made no mention of this but was immediately noticeable when removing the face plate of my head unit.

I got this radio for my son. So happy that Bestbuy installed it. and did a great job. With the hardware mounting kit. My son is happy also.

This was the kit recommended to me by the salesperson at Best Buy for my 2001 Mustang. It fit in the opening, which is a good start. Of the four screw hole tabs only two lined up with the existing screws.

It was a tight fit to make everything line up. After I got it all screwed together, I found that it wasn’t as stable as I’d hoped. I opened it back up to add the extra support piece provided for some installations, but it doesn’t line up on anything to be useful.

I’m not a professional radio installer, so maybe I missed something. but I don’t feel like it was very straight forward for an average consumer. If there was a better fitting product available, I’d buy and recommend that instead.

but this one does do the job.

Nice kit for your aftermarket radio. I just wish it had a visor along the top to take some of the glare off the touch screen of my new radio.

Part needed for car stereo installation for a 2007 Camry. There is space between it and the Pioneer Car Stereo I purchased. At night, I accidently slid a CD in the top crack between the car and the stereo.

Its right above where you insert your CD. Yikes, its a library CD and I can’t get it out.

This kit made my day. With out this kit, I could not install my stereo. Blammo!

This kit was great! My 2001 mercury sable has the electronic climate control, and I was told by everyone that I couldnt get a new headunit, as its a single unit with the stock head unit (c********** particularly said it would never work).

However, after calling Metra I was informed that this kit would work. Well Im pleased to inform you that it does! My headunit fits great, and all of the electronic climate controls function great. Even external temperature works.

The unit is lighted (an amber color) so it doesnt match stock interior, which is a little Annoying, but not a huge deal. The intsall was fairly easy, but the included directions were basically useless.

Definatly worth the purchase if your trying to build a better soundsystem in a mercury sable ls premium.

Item is as expected. Can’t wait to finally install a new, double din radio in my car! Thank you!

Sorry, I ordered it because I was told it was needed to install my car radio. Turns out I didn’t need it, but Best Buy easily returned it for me.

Looks like part of the original dash. Perfect fit.

Have had this kit in for about 3 weeks now. It works and looks great! It does have a sticker on there that tells you during too hot of conditions it may not work right away until it cools down but it has not been hot enough in my area yet to see if that’s for sure a thing or not.

All functions worked great after install was done. Took me about 3 hours to install with the new Sony head unit. Only reason it did not get 5 stars on quality is because of the possible over-heat issue.

We couldn’t figure it out on our own. Partially because it has no instructions, but mostly because it was missing the required wiring pieces. We had to take it to an installer who had to add more stuff to it.

It also cost more because I had to buy an Amp because this is not compatible with the shaker system. So yeah it works but it was far from simple and economical.

Definitely a bang for your buck item. I got a shop to install this dash kit, cost 100-130 depending on the shop. The sho had ZERO issues with this item and it has a flawless finish. Definitely would recommend this dash kit to all mustang owners.

This aftermarket kit looks good but doesn’t fit perfectly. The fit causes some of the buttons on the original system to stick.

I ordered this to do an install myself but somehow I was sold 2 left brackets in the bag and now have to wait for the original company not Best buy to send me a right bracket smfh

This was a gift for my son and he loved it. Installed it first chance he could and did it with ease.

The Scosche GM1590DDB kit is designed to work with a variety of vehicles and head units. To accomplish that there are a variety of tabs that in any particular installation will need to be remove on the parts provided.

This is accomplished by snapping the tabs off at score lines manufactured into the parts. For the most part that worked well. Two of the tabs that had to be removed in my particular installation were adjacent to some slots that hold the adaptor frame to the side brackets.

When those tabs were snapped off they too part of the slots with them, which was less than optimal. The kit still worked but Im not sure how it will hold up over time. The instructions are sort of vehicle specific.

You look up your vehicle and in theory it tells you which tabs to remove. That was somewhat less than perfectly clear. I was able to look at what had previously held the factory head unit in place and figure it out.

If not for the fact that I have an engineering degree and have installed many many radios in a variety of vehicles over the years I probably would not have figured it out as quickly. The directions could certainly be better.

Overall, it does the job it is intended for and looks nice. I would recommend it for compatible applications with a word of caution: Pay attention to how the unit being replaced is secured into the vehicle and then look at the parts provided to see how that method can be mimicked with the Scosche GM1590DDB kit.

The OS-2X part you’ll get with this most likely a defective part, after all that part was why i bought this kit. Pretty sad to an actual car audio shop selling defective parts online. Company said they would send a different part instead, but it was a whole hoopla for them to even do that.

Save your money for another product. Don’t get yourself screwed like I did with them.

Pretty much a one and done when it comes to 2 DIN install kits. The price was the best part $0. 00. Not a misprint. It was included with the purchase of the head unit. A little tricky on the install.

Make sure you find your vehicle and then double check to make sure you are breaking off the right tabs and thats it! I got it right the 1st time! Thanks.

No problems with this problem whatsoever, have had it installed in my car for about 6 months no and it holds my radio perfectly. there is small gaps but it is too dark to really notice them unless your shining a flashlight at it.

The touch screen is a little bit picky about how you press (Doesn’t pick up quick taps). But besides that this is a great addition to your mustang. Looks so much better than stock and for a great price.

Stereo sits too far back in dash, hard to reach buttons. Like the color and texture.

This was necessary to install the Sony stereo system we chose. The black color looks much better than the original silver stereo system did! Very sleek.

Way better than the metra kit in my opinion. The fit was much better although there was some small trimming required under the heater controls so they wouldn’t jam. Fits a double din radio well and looks so much better.

I paid more for the metra kit and bought this the next day because the fit was so poor.

Ill begin by saying that the dash kit has an amazing aesthetic and matches perfectly to the rest of the panels. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to any Civic 2006+ owner. The only thing that I had problems with is the temperature control panel opening.

When I tried to mount the control panel to the dash kit, bottom row buttons kept getting stuck and wouldnt come back to the normal position. It is because the buttons were touching the plastic from the dash kit.

I would suggest Scosche to make a bigger opening.

Quality is acceptable. Like the other reviews, holes for buttons and fit to dash not perfect and requires some dexterity to file and sand to fit. Colour not perfect but close enough. All things considered, works and looks fine and well worth the price.

Obvious choice vs. expensive Honda factory version.

the plastic material is pretty identical to stock plastic. Everything bolts up good with no mods required to install. however, there is a gap on the top-right side of the dash kit. it like a its not so noticable but once you see, you know its there gap.

the part itself sticks out little not a bad.

This dash kit is a good choice if you drive a lancer. Compared to others Ive had the fitment was very good. Color is a little bit off and doesnt exactly match the rest of the dash, but its pretty close and no one ever notices.

If youre using a single din deck the extra pocket they supply is nice but tends to rattle a little bit. Other than that Id highly recommend it; especially compared to other options on the market.

Not enough room to fit the included bezel. This contributes to an unfinished look that I do not desire.

Though the faceplate didnt work for my application, 03 F350 Super Duty, not enough room for the motorized face to operate, the side panels and rear slide mount were indispencable. To install the double din unit I had to trim the top & bottom of the dash opening, but there were gaps, approx 0.

25 inches on either side. The panels filled the gaps & made for a very tigh fit. No modification were necessary to the panels as the holes lined up and the supplied hardware fit my doulbe din Alpine.

Have to say, overall, very pleased.
