The finish is a little flat and rough, but over all they are a nice style and durable.

These are great coasters and are made from real wood that has been treated. You can tell it’s real because each piece has its own markings and cracks ( that have been filled in with wood glue prior to the treatment).

They have rings like actual trees and the bark looks realistic, though the entire coaster feels fake. They are not perfectly round like the picture, but rather assymetrical, and the tops are not blank like the picture but rather have dark markings(on some) and rings as mentioned before.

I do like them better this way because their assymetry makes them look more rustic and authentic. Also, they are all slightly different shapes and sizes. CONTRARY TO ANOTHER REVIEW, mine actually only have the logo and place of origin (Thailand) on ONE coaster on ONE of its sides, and this does not bother me personally.

I deducted a star from ‘quality’ for the company cutting corners and visibly filling in the cracked wood pieces with glue instead of throwing them out. This detracts from the aesthetic of otherwise beautifully unique and fun coasters.

(Not sure if it detracts from the quality yet; they do feel sturdy enough).

I bought these as a gift off of their wedding registry. They absolutely loved them. They’re very nicely made, look exactly like they do in the picture, and are very sturdy. The sides of them are are really cool looking and the tops are completely flat so no worries about anything spilling.

These are a nice size and color.I may also use them as small risers for candleholders.

Purchased two sets as gifts. Both the recipients loved their sets. I liked the fact that they have a cork bottom to help stop your glass from dripping condensation on your lap. These are made of wood and look very stylish.

I would like to mention that the wood color is not uniformed. There is a mixture of wood colors to these. Not a problem, but was a little surprised when I saw them.

Had to replace the three rubber feet on the bottom with a round felt pad because the feet were spaced too closely and made the coaster wobbly and easy to tip over drinks. Nice workmanship and style, though.

look nice, the cork is absorbant, however, they placed 3 felt dots on the bottom rather than 4 and they do rock/tilt if not careful.

These were a real disappointment. I ordered them because they matched my new kitchen flooring and white quartz. The coasters I got are very faded wood and look like they’ve been previously used. It serves it’s purpose, but instead of putting them on the counter, we hide them in the cabinet until we need them.

I love the nice contrast between the white marble and the woodgrain. Good size- and I appreciate the feet on the bottom that raise the coaster off the surface of the table. Fits any decor!

Nicely packaged. These are beautiful and very well made. They even have little pads on the bottom to protect your furniture. That’s a plus. I’d buy them again!

I originally purchased the Noritake Kona Wood Coasters. However, they were not large enough for my insulated mug. These were only $3 more and are much prettier. I liked them so much that I went back and purchased another set.

I’ve seen coasters that look just as nice at high-end home stores, for more than double the price. Considering the quality and price, these are a great deal!.

Solid wood, beautiful color and works perfect. I’ve been buying lots of coasters looking for the right ones. I’ve had others that were spilling water when condensation happened. This work perfect and are just the color I was looking for.

the crease is the key. I’ve bought flat ones and I don’t know why they even make them because they just don’t work.

Quite like these depite some of the negative reviews. I dont notice my drinks sticking to them. We use them especially when sitting in our living room and place them on our coffee table. They get used for stabucks refreshers, coffee mugs and glassware.

I recommend. No complaints.

Based on the images before purchasing I was expecting some kind of spray finish on these which I’m pretty sure there isn’t one. 4 came in my order. Some of the coasters are thicker than others and not cut completely evenly and are lopsided.

2 of them have clear saw blade marks on them and just look bad. The other side of those ones thankfully look ok so I will just keep the bad side face down. They are very rustic and cool from a distance, but as soon as you inspect them all the flaws are very clear.

Was a gift for my wife for Christmas and would have rather got her something better quality.

I grew up with many of these trees in the yard. The grain is wonderful and the color is somewhat unique – yellowish with a distinctive grain. These are lovely and I’m looking forward to using them. They are well done and show all the unique characteristics of the wood in the best way.

The transaction was smooth too!.

I gave these as individual gifts to coworkers and each raved about it! I included a description of the “knock on wood for luck” tradition. During these Covid unpredictable times we all need a little luck.

These are beautiful coasters. However, the very first time we used them, some water got on them from the glasses sweating. You know, the one purpose of coasters which is to have glasses sweat on them instead of on the table surface.

The water from the glasses ruined the finish on the coasters. They are completely discolored. This is a major design flaw. If you plan to use your coasters as coasters then I wouldn’t recommend these.

This is my second order I brought. They are so pretty. The only thing I found out with the first set, when you place a glass on it, after a while it started to fade. Other than that, they are really beautiful.

These do not work. The pooling of water from my sweating glass cracked the wood and broke the coaster on the second use. I haven’t even had these a month. The only good thing I can say about these coasters is that they are pretty.

Although they appear to be very nice and good quality coasters, I was very disappointed that they don’t look like the picture. My decor is wood with “black” and in the picture it looks like they are “black” all around the edges but they are not.

They are just “wood” all over. So I will be doing a little painting.

I did not use this product as a coaster (its intended purpose), but it suited my need for a rounded slice of wood to use as the base for a homemade Christmas ornament perfectly! To incorporate a rubber bracelet from the resort I was looking for a specific size, and this was perfect! I used the coaster as a base, wrapped the bracelet and a hanging ribbon around it, and decorated it with sand and shells.

Can’t wait to hang it on the tree with all of our other vacation-themed ornaments in December!.

These work great for my latest project, the wood is nice and smooth and good quality, though I find the sizes to be pretty variable. Diameter can be anywhere from 2 to 4 inches and they are not all perfectly round.

Makes perfect sense because they are cut from natural wood! But if you are looking for consistency in appearance between each piece, I would recommend picking them out individually in the store rather than ordering online!.

The coasters are great. I’m very happy with them. I’m giving a 4 star review because I ordered 20 coasters and the sizes of each coaster varied significantly. I expected some variation but the difference between the smallest and largest was almost 1/2 inch.

This affected the project I was planning.

These are a good price and the perfect brown color and texture. However we typically use them to hold hot tea mugs, and they have developed slight water rings/stains. This is to be expected as they’re made of wood, but if you are putting them on display, just be aware.

It doesn’t prevent us using them and loving them, however!.

These are fantastic coasters, and they blend in nicely with other natural colors and decor. After reading the reviews, I decided to preemptively give them 2 coats of satin polyurethane. The protective finish will prevent water marks, and it had the added benefit of enhancing the wood grain.

These are the best coasters ever. They have a lip which means any moisture won’t drip over onto your wood coffee table or other surface. Any moisture can simply be wiped off with a cloth/paper towel.

They will accommodate many different size glasses, and the “generic” wood is perfect for many different types of decor. We bought a total of 4 sets of 4– love these!.

I love these when you can find a good bag. These are usually out of stock at the 3 stores closet to me so I ordered 6 bags online. 2 of the 6 bags I received had 2 pieces of wood glued together – what the heck? I also drove an hour round trip to pick up 3 bags I found at another store – and 1 of those also had this ‘scrap’ wood in it.

So twice I’ve had to return to the store and get my money back. It’s like they swept up scraps off the floor and glued them together. The wood didn’t match and some weren’t even glued evenly. This is something you might expect from the Dollar Store in the kids craft section – not from Michaels.

I also found a few pieces that were slightly warped. Very disappointing.

They come warped and if you try to mod podge anything on them it gets worse. I tried out one set to test it out and they looked bad so I called to return the items. You can’t return them unless you return all of them.

So now I’m stuck with 7 sets of 4 coasters I can do nothing with. Be careful if you buy these and inspect them very carefully when you receive them.

I used these for pouring, thinking that solid wood would warp less than your canvases. Painted all of them by dipping after I was done pouring onto a canvas so as not to waste the paint. They WERE gorgeous, and my Christmas presents were all but finished.

When I got up the next morning, they had all bowed so you could see all the way thru underneath them, so great was the bow! TG I didn’t spend the money on a large piece of the Artminds wooden canvas, which leaves me heartbroken.

any suggestions what one CAN paint on that won’t warp? I’m running out of options!.

I love these coasters. They’re a perfect combo of modern, cool, and elegant. The marble is complemented nicely by the light wood. The gold detail is my favorite. the gold elevates these coasters. The gold detail on mine has tarnished a little bit, but I don’t mind; it makes them look a little rustic.

These coasters make quite a little statement on a table. Definitely recommend!.

This are a problem. One came apart — two pieces and the metal. Called the store and they told me to bring them in. I live 2 hours away so they could see the problem. I have never complained about anything I have bought at Crate and Barrel in 25 years.

Disappointing response and product. Recommend finding coasters that are one piece! At least I will in the future.

I bought these coasters along with the matching cheese platter and they’re so gorgeous! They match my decor so perfectly and look so incredibly classy. I gave the same coasters to a colleague for a housewarming gift too and she loved them.

They’re very well made and nicely finished.

I was very happy with the design of the coasters. They’re very attractive and the cutouts are very clean, sharp, and appear well-made. However, as a functional coaster, I am relatively unhappy with the product.

Coasters are sort of meant to get wet, and these are made of a wood and cork, so when wet, my coasters warped. I wish they were lacquered or encased in something to protect them from moisture. Now they won’t rest flat on the table, and are no longer useful as coasters.

I would recommend buying these as a coffee table decoration, but not a durable or particularly useful coaster. And don’t even think about spilling anything on them – the raw wood will absorb anything.

These are so great! I love the detailed maps and the quality of the coasters. They were perfect for my 5-year anniversary (for which the traditional gift is wood). My wife and I love NOLA and she loved this gift.

I bought these coasters as a gift and they have been the perfect! They are a great way to spruce up a living space without going over the top. The city themes are definitely a nice touch for a living room coffee table.

The coasters are also made of a cork-like material so they do an excellent job of protecting wood surfaces. I was also thrilled with the customer service after a shipping issue (not to any fault of their own).

Overall I am very happy that I made this purchase.
