20 Best Wood For Drawers (2022 Updated)

The organic materials and flexibility is great! I love that it could be custom made for tour taste. Drawer is lined with grey anti slip kind material. Overall very well made.

My drawer is 20 L x 17 W inches. So the published dimensions (19. 13 L x 15. 38 W) allowed the organizer to fit in the drawer. I have utensils that are 16 inches long which should have fit within the 19.

13 inch parameter. NOT SO! There is a divider permanently affixed at 15 inches. So, don’t expect to put your long utensils in this organizer. I’m totally frustrated.

Received mine today in a box that showed what it was. when I opened the box 2 pieces were nicely secured closed with a band while the other 2 had clear packaging tape. I tried peeling it off but couldn’t get it all off.

the areas where the tape did come off were left all sticky with tape residue. if I didn’t want/need them right now I would return them. I’m just going to leave the tape on the 2 and use them without expanding them since paper products will stick to the residue.

Most of my drawers are too long and wide; however, for the drawers that are within the appropriate dimensions, they are great. Good tight, spring-action, fit. I wish they offered some longer widths too.

I love the fact that you can divide the drawer into different sized compartments. The dividers do sometimes shift if you have alot in there!

We have a deep pantry cabinet where food goods go to never be seen again. We bought three of these to allow better access to everything in the pantry, and they are doing the job. Installation is very simple requiring only four screws per shelf.

I was very careful on the first one as I had not installed one before. Maybe took five minutes of overthinking and measuring. The next two shelves took five minutes to drill pilot holes and anchor each shelf.

This is our 10th rev-a-shelf. Work great. Not more bending over to see what is on the shelf. We have both sizes.

I like the product, it was exactly what I needed. I got a new kitchen cabinet and the drawer space was to narrow for the utensil tray so this was a very good option. The divider was to short for the drawer, I needed it to be about 2 inches longer.

I had to put a small food storage container to hold the divider in place. Other than it being to short it was what I was looking for. So I recommend you measure the length of your drawer.

First box with veneer arrived with damage inside. Rockler was very helpful and sent a replacement piece. The second piece arrived without any issues. Beautiful Red Oak Veneer. I have cut the pieces for the cabinet but have not installed yet.

The veneer was easy to work with and looks fabulous. I cant wait to see it installed.

This veneer looks absolutely wonderful after sanding and applying lacquer. I don’t stain this as the stain is not absorbed evenly despite applying sealers. After as short as a couple of weeks the Cherry starts to darken and shows it’s beauty! I like to cut this using a razor knife so that the wood doesn’t tear out or split.

This is my second purchase of the product and while both examples are very well made are good looking, the second shipment was shoved in the box in such a way that the veneer was creased and a crack opened in one corner.

Fortunately I’m using this on several small panels and can avoid most of the damage, but if I was doing a larger panel I would have returned the item. So. great product, packing is hit or miss.

I have used a 1/2 dozen different styles from this Inlay line. Relatively easy to install, although, I have been using my table saw. The width is never quite nominal, so I don’t know that a Router would work well.

All that being said, This inlay makes a nice creation, a REALLY nice creation almost instantly.

Good quality, sturdy, consistent thru length of the banding, important that it is flexible for curved edges.

This veneer was so thin it arrived wavy and I could not use it. I looked up how to flatten it and attempted a couple of the strategies, including hydrating and flattening it, but I ended up trashing it.

I wouldn’t recommend. I ultimately found more success in making my own veneer from left over lumber I had.

This was actually my first veneer project — repairing an old library table that had a lot of water damage, but good structure. For the shallow, curved drawer fronts, I was able to steam-bend the veneer around a wine bottle which had just the right radius.

For the gluing clamp, I used a lengthwise slice of pvc drain pipe. Blending the old finish with the new veneer worked very well with Minwax penetrating oil stain and some alcohol on a rag pad, as used in the final French polish finish.

The species and grain of the veneer perfectly matched what was salvageable on this nice, hundred-year-old piece! The price incredibly low for the high quality of the product. Thank you again, Rockler, for a very rewarding project!.

Size was as stated. The 1/4” had a 1/8” bow from side to side over its entire length. I thoroughly saturated the board and used weights to remove the bow. My project required about 60 small pieces of various configurations.

All worked out well.

Not bad putting it together. Would recommend 2 people and a drill screw driver. Love the wood grain. It’s real wood y’all. The drawers were a little off. Likely because the back has to be pulled taut before nailing.

But not a big deal. Instructions were clear. Just be mindful of the numbered pieces.

This had quite a treated smell while assembling – open a door or window if you can. It takes a bit to put it all together, maybe a couple hours. But it’s a solid piece, and it’s made it through a move to a new place just fine.

My only wish is that the drawers were a bit deeper or they came out a bit further. It can be difficult to fit everything in them and also get things out because of the shorter tracks they run on.

I especially like this brand of bamboo drawer organizer. I use the combination of sizes to organize my silverware. So much better than the old, yellowed plastic organizers I had before.

I am using these in a pull ou drawer in a cabinet. They work wonderful and love the variety. of sizes

I used these along with the bamboo flatware tray to create a versatile configuration of trays. Husband even comments on how nice the drawer looks. I thought they were a little pricy, but when I received them, the quality was evident.

Obviously these are what make my Trager Grill go. I bought them because they said they worked with all meats and vegetables. So far, so good. Lovely taste enhancement.

This is the first flavor I have tried so far and I can’t wait to try the rest. Our hamburgers, hot dogs and steaks taste so good. I believe the pellets help a lot with the taste of food.

Ordered fruit smoker pellets, cherry, apple and maple blend, and today’s smoking turned into a disaster. Smoking two expensive brisket flats and the pellets heated the smoker but produced very, very little smoke.

Couldn’t figure out what was wrong and decided to open the pellet shoot and send the pellets into a large container. When the hopper was empty, checked the pellets and the container and it was full of pellets but there was also huge amount of pellet dust.

Would estimate the amount of dust was equal to a 16th of the contents. Also discovered all the pellets were covered in the same pellet dust. Now, I will not be permitted to discover if the smoker was or was not harmed due to the dust which produced no smoke.

Originally, I had ordered two bags of the same pellets and open the second bag and found the same dust all over the pellets. Sifted the pellets from the dust and, without thinking, inhaled the dust and cannot stop coughing.

Sifting the dust from the pellets was huge mistake. Don’t do it. My smoker is a Pitt Boss 820 and the smoker is an excellent smoker and has produced many excellent smoked meats but will not purchase or use Pitt Boss pellets again.

Today’s planned smoking was two prime brisket flats but was required to finish the briskets in the oven.

I been using this kind of pellets for a while. They are great. I have always got these pellets from Lowe’s. I was near tractor supply so I came in. To find out that they have the same stuff for 2 bucks cheaper.

I go thu a 40 pound bag bi weekly. With that being said. Tractor supply has gained a frequent customer from here on out.

I’ve been using these pellets for about 2 years now in my pellet grill without any problems. The blend is a good all round blend that can be used for any meat. I still prefer using soaked wood chips and my water smoker for smoking but, with a little tweaking to the way you cook you can still get excellent results on the grill.

This review is supposed to review the drawer but since the drawer is used in the closet maid unit this is reviewing the whole unit. We bought the ClosetMaid cabinet that this drawer fits into months ago to use as a kitchen cabinet.

At the time we bought two deep drawers and one 5 inch drawer as we were not sure what would be stored in it. We ended up with three drawers and an open shelf. We recently decided to get this drawer for smaller items.

We thought the unit as a whole was a little expensive but it fit the need. The drawer bottoms are very solid. One of the deeper drawers has had some frying pans in them for several months now and the bottom of drawer is still solid and has not started to sag at all.

The only issue we have with the unit as a whole is that it is made as a closet unit and not meant for the kitchen. We have recently starting leaving the coffee maker on top of it and water dripped on surface has bubbled the top.

Easy fix, we put a large tile on top to protect it from drips.

Trivial assembly resulting in a reasonably sturdy end-product that slides smoothly in a Closetmaid shelving unit. These drawers are not self/slow closing.

We are satisfied with our purchase. It fitted opur cabinets so well. We love buying at Home Depot because of the service they give us. When we asked questions we are guided on what to do and answered satisfactory.

The quality is fine, and it performs as expected. They make building a drawer super easy. Cut the lengths you want, cut a 1/4 inch piece of plywood or cedar for the base of the drawer (remember, it should be a 1/2 wider and longer than the opening so that it fits the 1/4 inch dado), put pocket holes on the outside of either the front/back pieces or the side pieces, and screw it together.

Simple. However, these drawers do not have finish on them, so sanding them down and/or putting a finish on them is, in my opinion, necessary. If they arrived with a finish already on them, they would be a five star product.

I have a Besta TV stand and I missed the middle shelf when I moved so I bought a new one with the same model number but unfortunately it wasn’t same as the previous one, there was a huge space between the shelf and the drawer, and I noticed that the installation holes should be more in the front to make the shelf more closely to the drawer.

At first I thought I had the same issues as others when the drawer front was about an inch off and not aligning with anything else, but then I looked closer at the instructions and realizied I had it upside-down.

Flipped it 180* and it fits perfectly. I have six drawer on my wall unit and no issues with them lining up.

This door is a great idea. It looks good, but the killing feature is the hinges. It’s a bit complicated to install them correctly so the door is level, but once you get the hang of it, it’s much easier.

The way this hinges close, without ever slamming, is beautiful.

I love closets by liberty! I have them in every closet in my house. I bought extra doors for my walk in master closet and they are fantastic. They are so well designed, easy to install and a pleasure to use.
