Decent mallet, just hate to pay this much for a piece of wood to pound a glove. However, it is needed to make the pocket and break in a glove much quicker.

Works decently well. Not 5 stars as it slides out of your hand when pounding the glove. Leather strap is too small to secure it.

This seems to be the mallet of choice , the one every baseball shop uses when you buy a new mitt or glove. The shape is perfect for shaping/forming the pocket and the gradule taper makes it perfect for a fold over and beat down to loosen the action.

I purchased a wooden toy xylophone for my toddler and it arrived without a mallet. Instead of returning it, found these mallets and they are the perfect size. I like having two, so if one is lost we have a spare! Shipped extremely fast.

Bought to replace the ones that came with my child’s toy. They sound great but I’m not a musician. They seem to hold up great with a toddler. Great price too.

This is a nice version of the classic lobster mallet. When hosting a crab bake, this is one of those items which you can’t leave off the table along with newspaper and lobster crackers. The head of the mallet fits snugly into the handle and doesn’t come loose.

For some weird reason–probably because these sticks are ubiquitous and relatively affordable–some people have taken to calling them “intermediate” or “amateur” sticks. Nothing could be further from the truth! These sticks are made to the exact specs that Vic used for decades in the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

These are truly his sticks–those with which he generated his myriad of tones. Don’t hesitate to purchase these, and don’t be fooled by anyone who is naive enough to look down on these sticks. Just point them to some YouTube videos of Vic playing with Munch or Ozawa in the BSO.

You will see these exact sticks in action. If one of the giants of the timpani in the 20th century found these good enough to use with the Boston Symphony, they are probably good enough for the rest of us!.

If the mallets are treated right, they will last for a long time. For them to last long, you need to save the plastic bags that they come in, and always keep the mallets in the bags when you’re not using them.

Also, when there is stray felt on the heads of the mallets, cut them off with scissors. Otherwise more felt will get pulled off of the mallet heads I have all of the mallets in this series except for the T5 Wood mallets, and they’re awesome.

The T6 Custom General mallets are great for loud rolls and Sforzando’s. The T2 Cartwheel mallets are nice for soft rolls. The T4 Ultra Staccato mallets are really good for fast passages where you need lots of articulation.

The T3 Staccato mallets are great general mallets. You shouldn’t buy the T1 General mallets, because, despite their name, they’re pretty useless. I’ve had them for months, and I’ve literally never found a part for which they’re suitable.

The sound of the mallets is great considering how inexpensive they are. These are great mallets for the price. The only thing I don’t like about them is that the shafts of the mallets are relatively short, but you get used to it after awhile.

I bought these for use on a cajon, I was looking for something with a softer beater, so as not to break the thin plywood on the batter side of my drum and they work great! I like to experiment with my percussion instruments and they work really good for playing a cajon, I was pleasantly surprised at how good they sound!.

If you dig percussion odds ‘n ends, this will float your boat. It looks great, just sitting in your live room or production suite. I use it in tandem with other staple pieces to give a new inherently-woody timbre to your finished music or compositional endeavors.

Whether or not it will land in music in my genre isn’t important, it reliably creates a sound unlike anything I hear daily; thus, striking up creativity playing it. I also appreciate that it can create 2 different sounds (or more if you really try).

Nice tone block – not too heavy or too small for wide age range. Nice sound. A few things to be aware of. Outside wood can have a rough feel so I won’t use these with very young preschool children. Two of the three tone blocks I ordered matched in pitch but the third was a bit of a different.

Still nice. I agree if you are using in a large area for performance the sound might not be loud enough. Really like the wood stick mallet. Don’t have to worry about the top of a ball mallet coming off (choking hazard).

I bought this to be used with other percussion type instruments as background for some of my large children’s choir numbers. Though it has a nice fun sound, it is not very loud and if I use it for my choir, I will have to make sure there is a microphone to amplify it’s sound.

Still, it was a reasonable price and I will get some use out of it. My kids love it and it is a great toy and practice percussion instrument for young children learning rhythm and counting.

I have purchased different types of Glove Break in products over the years. After watching a video on how to break in a glove in an hour using the mallet. It is the only way I will ever break in future gloves.

Mallet head came off after a hundred or so whacks on a glove. Baseball Savings replaced no questions asked, but definitely not durable for its intended purpose (beating the pulp out of the pocket of a glove).

Purchased this for my 11 year old son to break in his new custom glove. He is infatuated with it and spends every waking moment using it to get the glove ready.

Great mallet! I bought this for my tent bag. This is great for my stakes. I have metal and plastic stakes. This hammers both of them down into the ground to securely hold my tent in place. Easy to pack up and fit into my tent bag.

This is one of the best investment I have ever made especially for odd jobs that a regular hammer would cause damage to the product you are working on. I am a 74 year old woman that lives alone with major medical problems and this was no problem for me to use.

Hard to beat the price. Very good deal for a hard-rubber hammer. Good for putting on hub caps on cars…. my old rubber hammer is petrified from age and hard as a rock. Nice new rubber hammer now!

I bought this as part of a set. The price for each mallet was modest. This was heavier than I was expecting, which is a good thing.

I’d been using regular ol hammers, so I don’t think it would take much to feel like an upgrade. Anyway, I’m no expert, but seems like a good mallet; feels good to wack stuff with it.

When I was wee lass my daddy owned an upholstery shop. He refurbished antiques as-well-as doing regular work on chairs, sofas amd such. I always got to do the “tear down” work which meant to remove the outer coverings starting with the piece being upside down and remocing the tacks ans strips.

I would usually get as far as the area where the “pockets” in the sides and back seemed to collect the money people lost. If I was really lucky I might end up eith a dollar. Back in 1954 that was a lot of money for an 8 ytear old.

Now fast forward and my wood shop needed a mallet and I so remembered that leather mallet I used so many years ago. I went online and discovered this brand. The same as my dad had! There were cheaper brands from off shore companies but I would not consider them.

This tool is great for setting snaps, eyelets and rivets in leather as well as striking the punch for the initial holes. Those are tasks you really shouldn’t use a metal hammer for. This is also a great tool for those times I need a softer touch than a dead-blow when working metal.

All-in-all a necessary and fantastic tool to have in the toolbox.

I have been using these for 40 years. Best for setting snaps, rivets and carving or stamping leather. I am not sure of the physics but when stamping leather a steel hammer will not carry the force of the blow through the tool and into the leather.

This is the mallet to use and the bigger the better. Chuck.

I’m sure if you wanted to spend £50 you could find a better mallet however it is the right weight for me and i don’t need anything more. P.S. The hook on the base of the handle is very useful.

I’ve used these since 2018, The weight and length of these are near perfect, it doesn’t lie about sound clarity at all. Especially playing in a lot of backyards where the kit isn’t mic’d these produce a nice punch.

due to its thick taper and large acorn bead. They lasted me awhile unlike most stick due to my heavy hitting nature. I would highly recommend these to those who are also hard hitting as well. I’ve also used these in a few studio sessions and the punch it brings the snare and toms are full of weight and a nice power house sound.

I found this stick several years ago and have been through many pairs. They are VERY responsive and have a bright attack on cymbals and just very easy to play. The beaded tip is very bouncy and sophisticated, and the extra 1/4 inch makes a difference believe it or not.

If I want more volume I just play the butt end on snare and it punches right through! The long taper does make them a bit fragile but I don’t play that hard and like the play jazz occasionally so these are perfect.

Just ordered another pair but was afraid they were no longer available. Highly recommend if you play multiple styles with some subtlety.

Disappointed- bought these for my son, but within a week equating to approx 6 hours of use, the fantastic pattern artwork, signature and even the Zildjan logo had rubbed off! This is not what I expected from what I believed to be a quality company! Have not had this with with his Vic Firth Nova sticks, which are budget, very well used and over 3 years old.

Other than the disappointment of the disappearing artwork, my son does likes the weight and feel of the now plain wooden sticks.

I bought this as a vanity bench and it is perfect. The quality is excellent and the colors of the wood and fabric are just as they were shown online. I’m a large person and this bench is very solid and sturdy.

The representative who replied to my question of weight capacity told me 400 pounds which is more than sufficient. The assembly was the easiest! The parts slid together in less than a minute. My merchandise arrived quickly and in excellent condition.

Rubber mallet came in handy. Used this mallet to put some toys together. The rubber mallet did not cause any damage while assembling.

Works well. I do get little bits of wood coming off from the hitting face when I hammer. It will probably eventually stop.
