20 Best Wood For Pipe (2022 Updated)

After installing had a small fire to ensure everything was tight and not leaking. Everything was going great until the paint on the out side started to smoke and fill the house with a very noxious smoke.

You could clearly see the gloss of the paint slowly burning away. The next morning I saw a 1in W x 3in L area that the paint completely peeled away to bare metal. Iv had fires since and everything is working fine.

No more smoking or peeling.

This is a replacement for my existing stove pipe. Over the years even with cleaning the pipe gets to a point that it won’t telescope after cleaning.

I dont have it yet so I dont know. You shouldn’t require a star rating until I use it. Pic looks like what it’s supposed to look like.

I make wood stoves out of old propane tanks. These short black 5″ chimney sections are hard to find. This pipe is sturdy and straight and just what I wanted. I would have given it five stars but it was pretty scratched up right out of the box.

We needed a section to finish off replacing some 20+ year old pipe that had corroded out. This pipe feels rugged, looks great.

Product was defective. I am trying to exchange it at Stephenville TSC.

I think the Duravent chimney is probably safe and efficient, but there’s not enough information about properly connecting one pipe to another. Unfortunately my second section was damaged ( in shipment ?) but I didn’t realize it until it wouldn’t fully engage with the next section and I ended up having to disassemble the entire chimney I was installing after it was installed to correct the connection.

The edges for the outer wall was bent in several places, preventing complete engagement with the mating section. If there had been better instructions about proper assembly of sections, I could have avoided this.

This is a fault of the Duravent not Tractor Supply. I finally got the installation completed correctly but it took much longer with more frustration than was necessary. I’ve built several Metalbestos chimneys and have never had any of these issues.

There needs to be clear details about how to determine full engagement and how to properly lock the sections together.

This was my firt time installing a wood stove. I liked the idea of the twist lock connection. I put together a 3 ft. and 2ft. section. the 2ft. section didn’t get me high enough so I tried to take them back apart.

However, once you twist it in place, you can’t untwist it again. I tried but ended up with dents in both pieces which was ugly. So I had to buy two more 3 ft. sections and put the original 2 dented sections in the attic.

I had to spend $100 more because I couldn’t get them apart and I especially didn’t like having to go to two different Tractor Supply locations to get everything I needed for the job.

I like triple wall pipe on my coalstove cas I feel that my family is safe and safety is always our number one priority. Its easy to assemble and the best pipe there is in my opinion. Can go wrong with this product.

I am hooking up an antique wood cook stove in my kitchen soon and will also use this great safe product. Glad we have this great product available at tractor supply. Thank you very much.

Fantastic product. I like that the wood is resourced. They are very sturdy and the color was spot on what the picture showed. It is definitely a DIY style shelf. I used acetone to clean the metal and a crystal clear enamel spray paint to coat them from rust.

To make sure the pipe bracket went to gether and were level I used a micrometer to measure the thread spacing at all connections. This way I made sure the match brackets were as close to each other as possible without getting to picky.

Also great customer service. One board was cracked. I sent them and email. They responded same day. I gave them my order # and mailing address and they had another board to me in less than a week.

Be careful when ordering this product, it has damaged our flooring. It’s not fit for purpose and I’m sure the company will reply below with “you didn’t set it up properly” or something – it’s a desk, how complicated does set up have to be! Honestly it’s far easier to just get a different desk that doesn’t run the risk of having to clean your floors every 5 minutes or potentially damages it if left.

The customer service wasn’t brilliant either, essentially blaming me for the desk rather than it being their issue. It’s a shame because I really loved the desk, but it just isn’t fit for use.

The product looks nice but my top is cupped slightly in the center, likely due to being pine. By cupped I mean that the surface is not fully level and the center dips. Basically looking down the length of the surface, there is a slight u-shaped bow to the wood.

For $200. 00, I’d prefer to have a totally flat pine surface. This is the nature of wood though.

Excellent quality fitting set at a reasonable price that includes mounting hardware to make a tabletop. It’s worth noting that these are the exact same fittings that you can find in the plumbing section of your megamart home store for less money but the current state of the world has led to availability issues.

Creating a farmhouse look and this was the perfect piece for my living room. I ordered 2 and they were delivered as expected and were so easy to assemble that my 16 daughter put one together. Very sturdy after mounting to wall.

I love this shelf! It fits perfectly in the space I had and holds lots of toys for small children! The shelves are deep enough to not worry that something will fall off. Super happy!!!

I love this bookcase soo much! It’s got a beautiful finish, and was really easy to put together. Took me maybe 35 minutes to put together by myself. I loved how it looks so I ended up buying a few more pieces from the Englewood collection.

Is the wrong diameter on both ends. Will not mate with pipe sections or fittings made by other manufacturers.

I believe it’s what I ordered before but it has been a few years ago and the memory isn’t what it used to be. Thank you

Easy to follow instructions, and the quality is pretty high for the price. The finish on the metal pieces is a really pretty gilded bronze that works great with my existing bathroom fixtures. I’m not the handiest person in the world, so I had to enlist help to install it properly.

Otherwise a piece of cake, and it looks great!.

I ordered this because I thought it wold look awesome and because of all the other 5 star reviews, a mistake a completely regret. I have no idea why this has so many good reviews talking about how easy and fast it was to put together.

First of all the box I received came damaged, and full of large holes, nothing appeared to be damaged though so I continued on unpacking and attempting to assemble. I ran into issues right away when I discovered they had not pre-drilled ANY holes where screws were supposed to go in the wooden shelves.

There were large holes for the pipes and that was it, no pre-drilled holes anywhere, on any side of the shelves. I decided to try and muscle some screws in with both a manual screwdriver and electric drill to no avail.

I did manage to get one whole screw (out of 48 btw) into its proper place after a while of forcing it into the wood, however in the process I completely stripped the screw and messed up my screwdriver.

I tried a few more times only to then discover that some of the rest of the 47 screws were incorrectly made and the tip of the screw where you put in the screw driver was filled in completely, so even if I wanted to use the screws it was simply impossible.

Even if I bought a drill bit to create holes for the screws in the wood I would have to place them exactly right, get the perfect size drill bit, and then hope and pray I don’t split the wood in the process of drilling holes (which is why companies pre-drill holes in the first place).

Even if I did all that, I STILL wouldn’t be able to put this shelf together because some the screws provided are unusable. I will be returning, I dont know if they simply forgot to dill holes in the shelves I received and a few unusable screws got through, or if this is the norm.

Either way for $200 I was expecting to at least be able to put it together.

These shelves are stunning! We put them in our office to display my husbands sports memorabilia and they are perfect. The black coated metal is finished so nice. The wood shelving are beautiful. It was so simple to put together/install.

The instructions were easy to understand and we had it up about 15 minutes after removing all pieces from the box. The clean lines, and beauty of this is timeless. You could use it in any room and absolutely love it.

We are considering one for our baby’s room.

Arrived with pre-drilled holes not completely drilled through and multiple scratches on the shelves. Not what I would expect for a higher dollar item. I was told my only options were to keep it as is, or repackage it (impossible) for a return for refund.

I love the appearance of this shelf. The open shelving eliminates the bulky appearance that a bookshelf of this size would otherwise have in a smaller room. Assembly was easy with the provided instructions.

It did take a bit of time, but I assembled it while watching TV so it didn’t feel as tedious. The shelf also feels very sturdy in place but I still plan on anchoring it to the wall. (The shelf comes with a small angle piece for doing so.

I’ve never purchased Walker Edison furniture before, but had been intrigued by different pieces I had seen for sale on Zulily. We ordered this bookshelf for our new home, and are so happy with it. It arrived earlier than anticipated, and was packaged securely.

The directions were easy to follow, and assembly was pretty quick. It’s a nice looking piece of furniture, and was a good price. We’re glad we purchased it!.

Shipped fast, packed securely, and arrived without damage. Assembled solo (needed help getting the box inside) in less than an hour. Looks great and feels very sturdy. Definitely needs to be secured to the wall, especially when placed on carpet.

Came with all hardware individually packaged, only requires a Philips screwdriver.

I really like these shelves. They’re really easy to put together and extremely sturdy, or they’re at least really sturdy on my walls because I have hard paneling so it makes it easier to install them.

I wish they’d make these shelves in a larger size for the depth so that I could fit records on them, other than that they’re great. The boards aren’t made of wood but more of a thick lightweight board/plastic combo, it’s not terrible and they hold up pretty well.

Overall shelf is nice. It’s light weight which is good. The material is a faux wood which is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. Because of this I think the overall look is not as nice. But it is a good value for the product and will hold up well.

I just think it makes it look cheaper. It is very on trend with a clean industrial look.

I bought this shelf to go over my desk in the corner of my bedroom that is my “office”. It was the perfect size to go over my desk and was comparable in price to other shelves I was looking at. This shelf isn’t real pipe but it has the look of it which is what I was concerned about.

It was beyond easy to install (seriously I think my 5 year old could install it) because it came with a paper “map” that you could attach to the wall. That “map” is the best invention every. The shelf has stayed up perfectly even despite the fact that I couldn’t find any studs in my wall.

I used sheet rock anchors that I had at my house which where more stout than the ones provided because I didn’t want it to fall down.

Well-made but I’m surprised that this was built with the same heavy gauge of metal for the external wall as well given this wall will not get nearly so heated, nor will it need to act in a structural capacity.

It makes the section very heavy which will mean I will likely have to support it given it will be offset from the stove mount with 45 degree sections. Also, quite expensive relative to the price of the stove it goes with and suspected cost of production.

Look, these are just simple extensions, but let get real!! Get that spark arrestor as far away from your tent as possible!! Nice SS and cleans easily.
