20 Best Wood Furniture Polish (2022 Updated)

This stuff is AMAZING. I recently moved, and not wanting to buy a new dresser, I went home and grabbed my oak wood childhood dresser that I’ve had for 15-20 years, and let me tell ya it has seen some use and some beatings.

Managed to bring that to the new place, bought this to clean it up a little – and I am blown away. Guys it looks brand new, like shiny, conditioned, clean, brand spanking new. Also the conditioner smells amazing like a subtle coconut beachy smell, I had my roommate come over just to smell it during the process.

I HIGHLY recommend. Below is the dresser – like I said this went through my entire childhood and early adulthood, and you can barely tell at all now.

This is the absolute best wood cleaner and conditioner that I’ve ever used. I did my daughter’s tables and she was amazed at the results-ordered her her own bottle!

My daughter found an old wooden vase at a thrift store and it was in “distress “. This product absolutely restored it to my amazement. The details of the carving are so clear now. Safe for antiques, I am really pleased.

My husband accidentally bought this. I did not check the label before light initial spray- and unfortunately my skin (red right hand that was in contact with polishing apparatus) and my ungs find this highly irritating (asthmatic).

Basically smells like classic dryer sheet fragrance on steroids, of which irritate my lungs and skin as well. LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE PLEASE, A GREAT PRODUCT DOEN’T NEED TO BE “CHANGED” TO SELL. Almond doesn’t irritate, lemon does not irritate- but this does.

Ugh now my living room smells like irritant. Not happy. Gave 2 starts bc from what little I used, it appears to work. (For reference I wear quality fragrances. so Ixm not -THAT- sensitive, it’s just that bad).

This is amazing for kitchen counters, bathroom counters, stainless steel, and any other nonporous surfaces. It both cleans and gives the MOST BEAUTIFUL SHINE! I love lemon pledge it literally makes my wooden furniture so shiny and polished leaving a nice lemony orange scent behind.

Definitely makes cleaning more fun and removes dusty and oily residue making furniture look brand new! I absolutely love this stuff. This stuff works so well and it smells amazing. I would definitely recommend if you have not tried this product before.

This product works great for reviving my kitchen table. My table has definitely seen better days before having little kids in the house but this helps bring some life back to it. In the left side of the photo I left my table untreated and the right is treated.

You can definitely tell the difference it makes. It has a nice light scent that’s not overpowering. I actually wished the smell from it lingered around longer. A few downfalls is it does not spray very well and i’ve noticed it leaves the table slightly slippery after application.

I would recommend this product but I would like to see a lower price for the amount of product you actually get.

I love this product!! I found it on Amazon years ago and have been using it ever since. It smells like lemon fruit loops – yummy! It is a creamy consistency, but not super runny. It’s easy to apply using a rag and a little bit of elbow grease.

I particularly like using this product on the oak parts of my home – things like banisters, railings etc. Leaves them feeling soft and looking moisturized and dust free. This stuff wipes away dust easily.

Love how new my wood looks after I use it. Really works great on all wood – it’s done a great job over the years with my coffee table, my kitchen cupboards, my kitchen table.

Some of the Weiman products cannot be used on wood floors as noted on their label but that is not the case with this one. That is what makes it more attractive.

I just found out about this, decided to try, and love it! I have heavy solid pine furniture, and over the yrs used cheap dusting spray. The cracks had white in them from dust not getting cleaned out well.

Using this not only brought out the beauty and shine to my pine furniture, but cleaned the cracks very well, ridding it of that white I tried hard to clean off! I love it, am buying more and will stick with it.

Has no alcohol or water which is bad for quality furniture. And it smells nice too. It goes a long way…no need to soak a dust towel in it…. just lightly spritz onto a rag and it lasts a long way for dusting.

I love this Orange Glow furniture polish. It wasn’t available for a while so I bought various other products. None of them leave your home smelling so nice and your furniture clean and polished like Orange Glow.

Orange Glow is not sticky, it has good coverage and it seems to “ seep” into your wood furniture. Definitely recommend this product.

LOVE this product! I clean vacation rentals as well as residential homes. I keep this on hand always! Just because the product says it’s for wood furniture doesn’t mean you can’t use it on other surfaces! While I love shining al my wood furniture and knickknacks I use this religiously to shine kitchen sinks and faucets, stainless steel fridges, dishwashers, knobs and handles! Shower heads and basically any and all silver or brass or wood surfaces around the home!If it’s any kind of metal and looks dull, you’ll definitely find shining it with Orange Glo! As well I absolutely love the smell! Great dust, dirt, grease and grime remover as well! I shine various appliance’s as well! Knocks the grease right of the stove tops control panel and leaves it looking remarkably shiny!! Always remember to follow the grain when shining! As well a little goes a long way.

I try to use as many clean products as possible. This is a fantastic wood cleaner that makes you feel good that it is safe for your family and pets. Plant derived ingredients and natural. Being a pet parent I feel happy with this brand.

I received my HIVE o0rder and was happy with all the items purchased. I intend to be a regular customer now. The wood polish was fantastic. I know, that sounds kinda nuts to be so gaga over something like wood polish BUT the product is superior to all other like products on the market.

I tried this to compare to another “natural” wood cleaning product and prefer this one. This spray seems to have a higher oil content than the SG spray I had been using, and works better on my older wood furniture which seems to soak up the polish and looks less dry than it did with the other spray.

Because of the oil it has a greater tendency to streak if you don’t rub it in well so you do need to take care with that. You can definitely smell the essential oils in this. The scent is strong but authentic, not artificial or toxic smelling.

It is slightly more expensive but I am going to stick with it for now.

Goddard’s Cabinetmakers wax is AWSOME!!! It goes right into the wood and refreshes it!!! I have used it on antique secretaries of Mahogany kitchen cupboards and fine teak furniture I imported from Denmark! I like the spray pictured rather than the pressure can.

With over 35 years in restoration of fine antique furniture, this liquid wax is just the best on the market. It used to available in major supermarkets but is now hard to find. A hunt well worth while.

With this product I clean doors and everything made of wood or similar. It’s an oily substance that gives my doors a shiny finish, and the best part is that it smells like orange. my doors are very old and look new.

This us a great little starter kit. First, you need to do your homework because there are no instructions for anything except the controller. I mounted this on my truck’s fiberglass topper. You need to pay attention to the grounding locations on the panel and provide a ground wire and nut and bolt to them.

Yes, you only need one, but I put in two. The cable connector diameter is 1/4″, and connector diameter is 3/4″, but once you put in one cable, you need more room to push through the 2nd 3/4″ connector.

I drilled a 1/4″ hole next to the 3/4 hole to slide the cable out of the way. You will need grommets and sealant, or I used a marine through-hole connector. Sealed, of course. My truck cap is slightly curved – enough that if I had mounted the solar panel directly, it would have put a bending strain on it and possibly cracked in.

I used 1/4″ wood slices to make up the difference. I also bought rubber sheets (8″x 8″) from Ace Hardware to place under the “feet”. The kit gives you everything you need except the 12v battery to which you connect.

This product is great – taking dull floors and making them shine beautifully. It coats the wood floor with a surface shine, which will show dull scuffs if you drag (furniture, etc. ) things across it, but is otherwise durable and really looks great.

Easy to apply – be sure the floors are clean first, then follow with a coat of this product. It is highly rated everywhere I checked, for a good reason.

The monocrystalline 100w panel appears to be well constructed, and provided mounting hardware is good too. Installation on my toy hauler was a breeze. The controller is entry level, but has some nice features like backlit blue LCD screen, programmable load circuit control, and two USB ports.

These are nice to have in a basic kit. Tray and charge cables are robust and high quality, however the charge control terminals are barely large enough to fit the 10 gauge cables into. I had to clip off a few strands of copper on a couple of them to fit them in.

I see why they used 10 gauge though, for future addition of another panel. Be advised that if you do add panel(s), you’ll need a higher amp rating controller. Be prepared to spend another $50 or so for fuses and holders (not included), and custom mounting hardware if needed for your specific application.

This 2 in 1 cleaner is the only product I use for all the wood in my house. It works great and does the job of 2 cleaners in 1. Love the fresh citrus scent and the shine it leave behind after applying.

Many of my friends and family us this product too and love it as well. Move over Pledge and any other wood cleaning product for this one is King of the Hill !!!!!.

I think this polish is brilliant, and so glad I found it via one of JL’s marketing emails about spring cleaning. I’ve now used it on a couple of mid-century armchairs, which I believe are made from afromosia (African teak).

I loved the dark wood before, but after a quick buff with Parker & Bailey the wood looks even richer and has a light sheen it didn’t have before (this is perhaps the closest they have looked to what they would have been like new in a long time).

Said polish has also reduced the obviousness of some light marks each piece has attained over the years. The polish is easy to use and absorbs very quickly. I used to use teak oil/Danish oil thinking these were the best for vintage wood.

I am now a convert to this lemon oil polish and will look at the other items in their range as they seem to be very effective. Lastly, anyone concerned about the fragrance should not worry – it is very light and soon dissipates.

I only wish I had taken a ‘before’ photo to compare the before and after, but was not inclined as I simply didn’t expect the results I’ve achieved!.

In my utility room is a wooden work surface around the sink. After more than a dozen years, it looked patchy and parched. I tried this oil on a small patch and couldn’t believe my eyes, so I left it overnight to see if it was only a temporary effect.

It wasn’t and now the whole area has been transformed and the bottle still looks full. I will be trying this on the wooden garden furniture come next spring.

I have been using this polish for a few years now. A bottle lasts a long time, you only need to put a small amount onto a soft cloth. It takes care of all types of unvarnished wood by replacing natural oils.

Great for restoring the shine on our old antique dining table. Hides/blends scuffs and scratches without losing the patina which is part of the real deal on old furniture. BE CAREFUL to buy the right shade for your furniture and follow instructions to rub it in with the grain, which makes it much easier to polish off.

I read the reviews of Fiddes Liming Wax and bought 4 tins. I have 1930s doors which were stripped and if waxed with normal clear or medium brown waxes would go extremely dark. In past renovations I have created a paler limed-oak style finish on them by laboriously layering medium waxes with liming paste or similar by hand.

Swearing each time never to do it again. But this liming wax is brilliant. You don’t need to scratch the surface to raise the grain (because it’s more a general lightening that I am after, rather than a streaked finish).

Brush it on, leave it and then buff. Then reapply either another layer or even it out with a mid brown and then do another top coat. I can’t tell you how infinitely delighted I am with this product. Anyone wanting to lighten 1930s doors (which tend to be quite an orangey brown) into a more Scandi style – this IS your product.

I loved using this product, the wax is rich and creamy and the colour was perfect. i have applied several coats now and the patination and shine is building beautifully. I recommend this product 100%.

I was looking for a polish that left a hard, shiny and non-stick finish, even slippery. I wanted one that I could use and then do work on with papers and not have the papers stick to it but easily slide on it.

And this polish does all that. For me it is almost ideal scene. But, for me it has one negative, which to me is important: It has too strong of a scent. I would have preferred unscented entirely, but I just could not find a good unscented polish that also did all the above.

I did find one unscented polish, Heirloom, and it was OK really. But I actually prefer the finish that I get from this Old English spray. But again, the scent is what keeps me from giving it a 5 star rating.

If Old English had an unscented product, hey, then we’d be in Fat City.

Upon applying I noticed a petroleum odor, not a lemon scent. I polished my dining room table and chairs. They looked lovely. The next morning, all pieces were dull and cloudy. I spoke with Cedric who said to use a white vinegar and water solution.

After wiping each piece, again, my furniture was okay. I called back to ask for reimbursement but Jessica told me they could only send me a coupon for the same product. No thanks!.

I was recommended by a wood floor specialist to only use Bona products to maintain my wood floors and I couldn’t be happier with the results. This product not only cleans the floor, but it also dries fast and leaves no residue behind.

I’ve also found the 4 litre refill bottle that I will now use to refill my spray bottle (it’s more economical that way). I’d recommend this product to any one else with wood floors.

Great cleaner for my wood floors. Appliance is robust, but could do with a more robust swivel clip, which detaches easily while in use. However, the wide articulation of the joint is a plus. The fluid is also well formulated as it doesn’t smear or leave the wood dull when it dries.

This is the best furniture polish I have ever used. We have real wood furniture and it cleans and shines to perfection. When I first started using Bona I realized just how much polish build-up I had from other polishes.

My furniture was looking dull. Bona removed the build-up and now my furniture looks great again. We also have hardwood floors and Bona floor cleaner is great too!.

After years unable to find a suitable product to treat our teak furniture, discovered this cream. Brings all the colour back and treats scratches and stains. Does not work miracles but vast improvement.

Omgoodness! I have a to do list a mile long – but after using this ( one of my to do’s) I had to write about my experience. I only wish I had taken before and Afters. I was beside myself when I realized much of my leather was covered in mold – Living in Florida for 20 years I have never experienced such moisture in an apartment- it has been traumatizing on so many levels- Moving on to what might seem surface to many but felt like a huge loss – my grandmothers vintage , amazing , and obviously sentimental belt had very specific snaps that only went with some and there were several- this piece is so unique – when I looked up online how to rid leather of mold it said to use rubbing alcohol- It seemed to work in terms of removing the mold on almost all the items for the most part except this belt ! I was beginning to question if it was real leather but I knew it was and the back being suede and knowing my grandmother there’s no way it wasn’t – but it literally turned almost silver through the grooves and I thought for sure it was ruined.

I tried a few other leather products I had at home but then decided before I threw it away I would give this a try- So I explain this part because this is important as it definitely takes a few minutes to sink in.

I wiped it really good and then took a paper towel and dried it – still discolored… I was about to throw it away but the artist in me and sentimental started thinking I would have to dye it to salvage this treasure.

I walked away for five minutes and came back- the belt was completely restored! I am still in awe – and so grateful for this product and how amazing it is ! After that I went on a frenzy to restore every leather item in view and everything looks amazing again!! This is an incredible product – it restores leather beautifully and does exactly what it says conditions leaving it looking perfect ! I am so thrilled if you have anything that needs to be restored do not hesitate you will be so happy you found this! And it smells really nice too! Bonus !.

I used these today and I was blown away first by the very light and fresh lemon scent and then by the oils I could feel on my hands. They felt clean and moisturizing. I could tell I was doing my leather good and the luscious smell was an extra bonus.

Most good leather conditioners have a very nasty smell. It left my leather seats, dash, door panels and everything else very clean and well conditioned. Can’t praise them enough. Buying more and using more often.

I found it took two wipes per area or seat if you really wanted to put enough oil on them for deep conditioning. The wipes did not seem small and I had no problem using them when doubled up. You use quiet a few but the results are amazing.

Good for quick cleanup of spills, food, etc. , from little fingers or puppy dog tracks left on leather furniture, however, have experienced that the wipes, very slightly, transferred some of the dye from aged leather furniture to the wipes while cleaning.

I can not say if it is due to age of the leather. The furniture I use it on is approximately 25 years old. I use it anyway, since my furniture has a distressed look, and due to lack of finding anything better, or more convenient – and the color transfer is very minimal.

With that in mind, I would not recommend it for anything but small cleanups, and only after testing on your leather, in an area that can not be seen, I would not recommend as a restorative for all over use.

The beeswax finish for wood was a finish that I was taught at school by a ‘Silver-Medal’ woodworker who, before our eyes, and in minutes sawed a t-joint that when assembled looked impossible to take apart – with apparent ‘dovetailes’ not allowing it to be pulled in any direction to separate the two pieces.

The secret was that the ‘dovetail’ entered from the bottom, finally rising into a perfect- looking impossible dovetail! He taught us to French Polish with linen pads and linseed oil. But you could get just as good a finish with just beeswax.

Some on here have difficulty with the precision lids not staying on properly due to building up pressure. I can’t believe that the manufactures provide separate plastic lids! The answer is simple – and as long as you are careful opening the tin – the contents will stay perfect for years because the solvent won’t evaporate.

It is advisable to put the lid back after EVERY charging of your polishing pad! You can use this trick also for the time when the freezer door won’t open because you have just shut it. Here’s what you do: btw it’s a Charlie©Trick! All you need is a small plastic straw.

When closing the lid you trap the straw in the lid – which of course flattens as intended. You purge as much air as you can without distorting the lid – and on its final seating slowly withdraw the straw – all the while it’s allowing pressured air to escape, until it’s finally seated.

Yes put it in a poly back for longevity but it will last a long time! See simple! And the freezer youight ask? Get a 4cm of slim plastic straw and sellotape it to the topmost right of the freezer frame which the door seats onto – it’s usually magnetic – and each time will let in a fraction volume of air in each time it’s ‘locked’.

See another Charlie©Trick! This was effective for years and was never a proble with, for example, mildew. It’s put at the top because as you all know it won’t try to let heavier cold air escape! While you are doing this give your new freezer (and any white good) a layer of beeswax too.

It’s great for preventing rust and sticking dust! My Bosch freezer lasted 42years – and was still working when taken to the dump. Another Charlie©Trick!.

Produces a great shine as well as protects the wood. Used after stripping and revarnishing some lounge furniture. Adds a professional finish. Certainly need a well ventilated space or wear a mask. Lid is tricky to refit.

Briwax will supply plastic lids if you contact them but I couldn’t get these to fit either. Nobig problem – just wrapped in a sealed plastic bag.

Excellent product, easy to apply & gives a great finish to our oak furniture. We had an oak nest of tables & an oak unit for our tv in the conservatory which we decided to paint with furniture paint, leaving the tops natural wood.

We wanted something to protect the wood but leave a natural colour without being too shiny. With Briwax being a well known name from the past we decided to try this & what a great finish it produces.

Highly recommended.

Ever think that there is some crazy cleaning crew that comes in after you move out? Or cleans before you move in? Meh, most of the time. no, it’s usually an underpaid and overworked and very Underqualified person.

Like me. My cousin gave me 100 bucks and begged me to help clean this nasty apt, I was expecting all these heavy duty special apt cleanings and nope, he literally had this, disinfectant, and paint. That’s it.

Boom. I now only use it for my apt and swear by it, It does kind of smell like citronella, the bug candles, my nephew told me that one day and I can’t unsmell that comment. .

(’22) Influensters Recommended To Review. Having wood all throughout my home is more than a motion. I have used Murphy’s Oil Soap for years. This brand has been around for quite awhile and they have added a few scents to this soap.

It is recommended to dilute with water: it is quite gentle on wood flooring, cabinets and other surfaces. The scent is amazing. Use an old rag that you would use only for your wood. I try to do a room at a time.

I would recommend this brand for anyone. The gallon bottle last awhile. Mostly found in hardware stores.

I love using this stuff to polish wood. A little goes a long was so this bottle will last you FOREVER. I actually started using this when I was a teenager to help my nails. My grandma owned a cleaning business and she loved using this stuff on cabinets, doors, baseboards, everything.

She always said it made her nails grow long and strong with no breakage. So she gave me some to help my brittle nails AND IT WORKS! So besides the weird mail benefit it has, this stuff is incredible for wood!.

I inherited an old pump organ that had been stored for ages and not protected from the elements. I had to literally wash and scrape years of dust and dirt off of it. I used Howard’s feed and wax and was stunned that it was getting even more dirt off what I thought was clean.

I am absolutely thrilled with the results. I recommend it every chance I get. Wish I could post before and after photos. It’s amazing the difference. Plus I now use it on all my furniture and cabinets.

I have an antique dresser that has seen better days. I decided to do some work on it and Howard’s feed-n-wax was recommended to me. I cannot stress enough how much of a difference this has made in my old dresser! The wood was tired looking with dings and scratches.

It now shines and you can hardly tell there were cosmetic defects. I also used this to wax the drawer slides (the drawers are wood on wood and I had the worst time pulling them in and out). The drawers work so smoothly now! It’s like a completely different dresser.

We are extremely pleased how well this wax restored the color and shine to all our wood furniture, wood blinds, and kitchen cabinets. We used on everything from 110-year-old Amish buffet furniture, to a 30-year old grandfather clock, faded wooden slat blinds, stairway handrails, and 5 year old table tops and kitchen cabinets.

It spreads far, the bottle covers a lot of area, and we have only used half the 16 oz bottle. Be sure to shake the bottle before the first use, until it becomes liquified like shampoo thickness, because the wax may ‘set-up’ when sitting on the store shelf.

It is real oily and greasy when putting on. Let it set for a full hour to really absorb into the surface, then wipe to blend in the oil and shine. We used a white tee-shirt to apply the wax, and a microfiber rag to wipe it off after an hour.

The wax adds a soft “eggshell” shine to the wood. Very pleased, and recommend it.
