12 Best Wooden Candle Wicks (2022 Updated)

First off lets talk about the scent, I find this scent to be a “clean” scent that is not too powerful, yet it fills the room nicely. My whole family enjoys the smell of this candle, its rare we all like the same scent.

Next the wax and wick. the wax melts evenly and I love the pale blue color. The wick makes this wonderful crackling sound, while burning. Makes me think of a fireplace. And lastly the jar and lid. I love the shape of this jar, it has an hourglass shape.

very unique and I plan to use it for decor after the candle is gone. The lid is my favorite part. its this beautiful wood, that takes the candle up a notch (in my opinion) and looks much more decorative.

I can not find any issues with the jar or the burning and smell of the wax.

I recently started using the Yankee Candle woodwick elipse candle in the scent Amethyst/Amber. First off, I have never had a candle that burns the way this one does. The large wood wick puts off a crackle and large flame when it burns, reminding me of a fireplace.

I LOVE this and it really makes the atmosphere relaxing and homey. The ellipse shape and large wick allows the wax to melt in a large puddle releasing the aroma quicker. The candle is made of soy and paraffin wax which leaves little to no residue as the candle burns down.

This candle is better in medium to larger spaces. The scent is a little overpowering in small areas such as a bathroom. This candle is long lasting and has 50 hours of burn life. I will definitely be getting more of these candles in the near future.

I absolutely love this WoodWick pumpkin candle. I have gotten several compliments on it. It smells great EVERY single time I burn it. I love it. The cracking is a unique and an oddly satisfying experience.

Not sure why, but it just is, lol. It is a very good size candle at 21. 5 ounces and looks very elegant with a nice wood topper. it has been burned pretty much daily since I’ve gotten it and the wax has melted perfectly flat, no wick “sink hole” or wax burning unevenly.

Burns perfectly and smells sooo good. Because of the hourglass figure it is also easy to transport to different areas of the house if desired. Definetly my new favorite candle.

These look like high end candles you would find at a very chic store in new york. The price is higher than I’m using to paying but I don’t mind at all because the crackling makes it sound like you have a fireplace and my space is too small to have that luxury.

The smells are fantastic and I love the layering of scents so I can decide if I want the big versions later.

I thought the transitions between the different scents would be weird but it was actually quite lovely. I love the sounds of a crackling fire but without the mess or clean up. So reasonably sized and priced, these candles last so long.

The Asian Woods scented candle from Febreeze smells very good. It has two wicks, and when the candle melts, it fills the surrounding area with a warm, sweet, woody scent that I found peaceful and comforting.

The wax seemed to melt a little quickly, it overall I enjoyed the candle.

I absolutely love light peach scented candles, so when these went on sale I immediately grabbed one to try. I was not disappointed! It fills the entire den with a light pleasant scent and burns evenly.

These candles are super unique in design and scent! I really enjoyed the sweet berry scent I got and WoodWick has got many others I would really like to try. These candles have such strong scents, they are good to leave around the house open and unlit for a good air freshener then smell even stronger once lit.

They’ve got strong wicks, they are in a cross shape and I havnt had any issues with the wick burning to low and having to remove some wax to get enough wick out to light, that happened on a few of my other good candles of another brand.

We just bought two Woodwick Pumpkin Butter candles, but these are not our first. This scent is the sweetest pumpkin scent around, and one of our favorite Autumn scents in the Woodwick candles. Have you ever noticed how some pumpkin candles can have a slightly pungent note under the sweetness? These Pumpkin Butter candles deliver the pumpkin as in as sweet and uncluttered a scent as an Autumn pumpkin candle should be at home.

I bought this as a an alternative to the lavender spa that I usually buy. I absolutely love lavender spa, I usually have a couple of candles burning with the same scent in each room so the whole house is filled with the scent.

I am really disappointed with this trilogy candle. I purchased two of the large jars, the top two layers (top layer lavender spa) are really nice but unfortunately the bottom layer (the largest) doesn’t smell of anything and I feel I’ve wasted my money.

I know smells are very specific from person to person but this isn’t a case of me not liking the scent – it doesn’t smell of anything. I won’t buy it again.

Bought this candle for a friend who has been going through some rough patches. She complained that the candle she had smelled nothing of lavender-(her candle had Shea butter in it, which is overwhelming).

I love love love natures wick candles! I’ve always been a fan of woodwick candles. I love the ellipse candles but I hate spending $31 on them. I even hate spending $15 when on sale. But I’ll take an 18 oz wooden wick candle for $10 heck yeah! I love pumpkin scents as well.

I really wanted to like this candle, but it’s been a disappointment. It burns unevenly and so every so often I have to keep relighting one of the wicks! It smells okay but not as nice as other candles.

And despite its numerous warnings, the “crackling” as it burns is actually a little unsettling. Can’t say I recommend it.

This scent is the BEST pumpkin scent around! And it’s strong (but not overpowering), so if you want the scent but don’t want to light it for whatever reason, just take the lid off, and it will scent your room! Delicious but not sickeningly sweet! Can’t get enough of it!.
